The awful beam of sun hit her eyes as Phoenix squirmed in bed. "But I don't want to get up. Stupid sun," she said sitting up. "You have to ruin nice things. Always need to rid me of nice dreams." She grabbed the nearest spare pen to hold her hair up in a bun leaving only a long, blonde and pink stand of hair to hang down on the left side of her face. "Well, I guess it's time to get dressed and look at some food. What do you think teddy?" Without looking back at her bed, she put her uniform on including her knee-high house colored socks.

Phoenix, with pencil and sketch pad in hand, made her way down the stairs. But she stopped. There were two people talking; one male and one female. She went down a few more steps and saw the curly blonde and the brunette boy. What were their names? Phoenix shrugged her shoulder and continued down. They never noticed her before, so maybe they wouldn't start now.

And it's raining
But it gets so lonely

And the stars are falling from the sky
Being on my own

And the wind
No one to talk to

And the wind I know it's cold
I'm not always strong

As Amethyst finished her story she heard movement on the other side of the room. Looking over she saw Ashlynn sitting down in one of the chairs by the firs, though the other girl hadn't said a word, "Ah, good morning Ashlynn, would you like to join us?" She asked politely. She was wondered why she had stayed so silent, but figured maybe she just wasn't much of a morning person.

Before she got Ashlynn's reply she heard another person coming down the steps from the dorms. Turning she noticed the girl was looking at them, though the other girl made no move to say anything. "Ah, g-good morning." She said shyly. She figured she had had such good luck up till now making new friends this year, so why quit? She didn't recognize the girl so she figured she was probably from a lower grade.

Curly blonde was talking to her? Curly blonde never talked to her. Curly blonde always smiled and nodded, but never talked."Hi?" Being taken by surprise, Phoenix stopped mid-step and turned towards her. Remember her name. It was a stone. Emerald? No..."Has anyone made it to breakfast yet?" Sapphire? No...Phoenix started fiddling with the pencil. It was the first time she felt nervous talking to someone. Ruby! That was...no...Curly blonde looked all nice and stuff. Phoenix's eyes went wide and a smile started on her face.

"Amethyst! Right?! I am so good if I remembered that. It'll just make my day." Phoenix quick opened the cover of her sketch pad to scribble down a note. She expected a note from her brother with news about the goings on. When she looked up, Curly blonde was giving her a weird look. Out of habit, Phoenix looked to see if there was a stain on her shirt or her skirt. No such luck. What? Do I have a mess somewhere?"

The girl's replied seemed a bit unsure, though Amethyst didn't blame her much for being surprised. She hadn't really talked to any of her classmates much before this year. "N-no we have not yet gone d-down." She replied quietly, her stammer and overly polite speech making her sound awkward.

"Ah, yes, I am Amethyst." She nodded, a bit surprised the girl had known her name at all. Now she felt even worse about the fact that she didn't recognize her. " I am sorry, but I have to admit I cannot recall your name..." She confessed. With a start she realized she had been staring as the other girl asked about a mess.

"N-no, sorry. It was very rude of me to s-stare like that..." She said, quickly averting her gaze, dropping it to her lap where her hands now sat clasped. She really was terribly at talking to new people to the first time. She had probably made a terrible impression with this new girl she knew, but there wouldn't be much fixing it now...

Belle Simplicity Devereaux smiled at Daren and nodded. "Why, thank you. I do try," she said, taking a deep breath and looking around the owlery. "I think that's one thing I get from my parents. They're dropping hints to each other all the time. That's how I knew exactly what I was getting on my fourteenth birthday . . . And my sad acting skills made my surprised face go down the drain." She smirked at the memory, leaning on a close stone wall as she spoke.

Belle nodded as he spoke. "Very true. I was actually quite shocked at how quickly it had been cleaned up. And how quickly it spread to the Daily Prophet," she agreed, then cocked her head. "How would you make it more permanent? A tweak of the spell?" she asked. As far as she was concerned, there wasn't really a way to make something permanent, but knowing Daren and his abilities, he was going to make it work. Somehow, someway, it would happen.

Belle bit her lip, but nodded with understanding. "Is there anybody you know of who would help? At least who can help who would be trustworthy enough to do it right?" she asked, running through different people she knew of at the school, though there weren't many. No doubt Daren knew what he was talking about. Maybe she had put too much trust in him, too much confidence.

Belle nodded. "Alright, then," she nodded. Once again, she was unaware of how anybody could get information indirectly from somebody, especially if it was as important as Daren made it sound . . . But it wasn't her part to figure out how that was going to happen. She was the distraction. She nodded and smiled again. "Distraction. Got it. Who is it that I need to distract?" she asked. She'd remembered finding Daren on the train in a compartment with a few people, but she didn't exactly remember who they were, if she even knew who they were, honestly.

Belle kicked off of the wall she was leaning on to stand in front of Daren. "Of course I'll continue to help you. We've gotten this far, and everything has gone good, there's no reason to back out. Anyways, I have to admit that I've been quite enjoying it."

Rychard laughed as Amethyst finished her story. He had remembered what it was like to perform magic accidentally in front of his clan; it must have been totally different to do it in public.
As he finished laughing Rychard noticed then that Ashyln had joined them, or she had been there for a while. He couldn't tell but he sat there and smiled at her when Amethyst greeted her. Rychard was about to add his own morning greeting when another girl walked down the stairs. She was blonde with one seemingly random pink streak, and she was holding a sketchbook. Again he was about to say good morning when a small conversation came up with stalled him. Still he smiled at her as he waited for her to answer the question; knowing full well the girl might not answer with his fangs visible. Then again she might surprise him as two others already had.

User Image Daren let a grin spread across his face, brightening his features and giving him an almost boyish look. It was one of his more favored expressions to use against someone. I have a couple people in mind that I have been keeping my eye on. Well, with the right influence they shouldn't be to hard to convince." He noted thoughtfully. "I'm glad you'll continue to help me though I really count on you Belle. He added, resting a hand on her shoulder and squeezing lightly.

The who doesn't matter so much right now. First let's get ourselves some helpers, then we can determine the when and where yes? We will need a thorough count on all of our resources before we make a plan. All variables have to be taken into account after all." He explained lightly, almost as if he were helping her with a homework assignment, and not explaining how best to force information out of someone.

Pulling out his wand once again he dismantled the spells he had put into place earlier. Gathering up his neglected, half-finished letter, he shoved it back into his pocket turning for the door. "Let's go make some new friends shall we?" He asked with a smirk, exiting the tower room to return to the main parts of the caste. His first stop would be the Great Hall since it was just about time for breakfast. He figured he had about twenty minutes until the rest of the school really started waking up. If he was going to approach anyone this morning it would have to be before the room got to crowded, but he had studied the habits of his potentials well enough to know that a few of them were early risers...

"Good morning. Sorry I stayed silent. I did not want to interrupt, and be rude." Aslynn stated with a stifled yawn. She saw the girl come downstairs, and looked down. She looked at Amethyst, who seemed very nervous. Aslynn smiled at Amethyst, and the other girl, and nodded.

She nodded at Rychard. "Good morning" Ashlynn mouthed at Rychard so as to not interrupt Amethyst, and the girl with the pink streak in her hair. Ashlynn's huge eyes rested on all three, and she smiled at them. Ashlynn looked down at the floor soon enough, and stared at her feet as she swung them. Her short stature made it hard for her feet to touch the ground

Drusilla [Dru] Belikov&Prusilla [Pru] Belikov

Twins Drusilla and Prusilla woke early the second day of school, as they always did, and went on their normal charade.

The day before had been the Great Feast, where Dru and Pru always had the most fun. All the new first years, so vulnerable and scared . . . The twins always had fun messing with them. They didn't know what they had coming at them when they came to school. It was really their favorite time of the year. Usually by the end of the year, though, the first years couldn't be as scared as they had before. Or eat least some of them.

But this years first day had completely enthralled the twins. With the death of a House Elf - which they thought very dull, only slightly amusing - had been the first note that the school had realized. The second was the new and improved Dark Mark. It was this that truly caught their attention and made them excited, so excited they decided to write to their parents and their brother Dimitri as soon as they could the next morning.

Dru and Pru were now walking down the hallways towards the owlery, holding the letter they wrote to their parents tightly in their clutches. "I can't believe it!" Dru whispered excitedly. "I know! It's truly incredible . . . Did you see the new shape?" Pru replied, matching her twin's whisper. Their conversation continued like this when they passed two Slytherins they'd seen before as they entered the owlery. "Who was he?" Prusilla asked, looking back after the boy who had passed. "Not sure . . . I think his name is Devlin or something. Good looking, wasn't he?" "Very handsome, yes," Drusilla giggled.

After they sent off their letter, they had quickly ran back towards the Great Hall, hungry for the breakfast that was to be offered. As they ran, they noticed the same two people they'd seen earlier. "Think they're together?" Dru asked, when a second year darted out from another corridor, and the twins tripped over the small child. When they were all three on the floor, Dru and Pru immediately started on him.

"You filthy little Mudblood!" Drusilla shrieked, and Prusilla's face reddened. "What is wrong with you? You think your dirty blood is worth our time?" Prusilla shouted, and the twins picked themselves up, staring down at the child with stormy eyes. "You remember this," Dru said in a strained whisper. "Don't. Cross. Us. Or, we swear . . ." "All three of our names will be spread across the Daily Prophet." "You saw the Mark last night, didn't you?" "That means there are others who believes in the old ways. And, soon enough . . ." "Mudbloods and bloodtraitors like yourself will be extinguished."

Dru and Pru finished their entourage and took a deep breath, looking down at the cowering twelve year old who looked near tears. "I hope your second year is as good as your first," Dru smirked, and nodded at Pru. "Let's go eat."

User ImageDaren watched with interest as two obviously realted girls from his house passed him. He recognized them of course. the Belikov sisters were in his year after all and had a bit of a reputation for themselves. It was their whispered conversation that really caught his notice as they passed and a grin came to his face once again.

It wasn;t long until the had caught up and passed him and Belle once again. Obviously they had had a letter of their own to send out. He was about to call out to the pair when they collided with a second year. He watched the confrontation with an amused look for a moment before stepping forward."Ladies, let me give you a hand up. Now I am sure you can go easy on the poor kid right? I'm sure he meant no harm, just an honest mistake." He said, letting his normal good boy act take over. He shot the second year a re-encouraging smile, shooing him on his way.

Once the younger boy was out of sight he spoke again."It's not like it is his fault he is a mudblood after all right? It is the leniency of our current society that allows such....people...to attend our fine school." He added with a more knowing smile. "You know, there are better ways of handling such situations. Ways much better the outright retaliation. Have you ever though of trying a more...subtle, planned out approach?" He threw the barest hint at the two girls. Not really giving them any evidence that he might himself be involved in anything of the such, but enough to snag at their curiosity.

He tilted his head up slightly, looking at them with a curious intensity as he studied them. No they wouldn't be very hard at all to convince he was sure. At the same time he crossed his arms in a fashion that he knew would best emphasis his physique. He knew the best ways to charm people was through a combination of mental stimulation, and visual appeal. It was only a matter of finding the key phrases to best lure them in with. All he had to do was figure out what they most wanted and dangling it, tantalizingly in front of them like a sweet promise.

Eyes. There were three pairs of eyes staring at her. The more nervous she became, the more moist her palms were. Phoenix dropped her pencil as she hid her face behind her pad. "My name is Phoenix. Phoenix Meriweather. It-it's nice t-to make your aquantaince," she said as she bowed. Phoenix picked up her pencil as she quick turned around to face the wall. Was meeting people always this uneasy?

She turned again to face everyone, removing the sketch book from her face with a big smile. "Upstairs isn't really a good place to study the outside, you know. Have you done that? Drawn the outside? Or people. People are fun." Phoenix, as always, had no idea what she was talking about, so she kept on going. I think I'll go sit on the steps outside today. The wind is nice. Do you like bunnies?" She turned to the boy with the brown hair and tilted her head sideways. She had forgotten all about breakfast. "You're teeth are funny. Are they always like that? Skye told me to never trust men with funny teeth, they might want to steal your hair. But you already have hair. So she must be wrong. She says she's never wrong, you know. Why do you have funny teeth? They're really funny looking. Does it hurt?"

((you would!!!! >_>; ))

Drusilla [Dru] Belikov&Prusilla [Pru] Belikov

Drusilla and Prusilla Belikov prepared to move on to the Great Hall to eat when they were interrupted. They looked at each other irritably, and turned to see who had spoken to them. "You?" Dru asked in surprise, looking at her fellow Slytherin. "Of all people?!" Pru added, and they stared at the boy in shock for a moment. Their eyes momentarily traveled to the red-headed girl with him. They remembered her, Bessie or something. She was one of few gingers at the school, and in the year right below them.

Dru and Pru listened to what the boy had to say, and rolled their eyes at what he said first. "It makes no difference, a Mudblood is a Mudblood whether they can help it . . ." "Or not," they answered. "And mistake or not," "He made us late for our breakfast, and started this conversation." "So I think that's reason enough." Drusilla and Prusilla crossed their arms over their chest, and watched as the second year ran off. The two shrugged, as if to say 'good riddance'.

Dru and Pru listened to the boy speak once again, while the red-headed girl stayed completely silent at his side. "Now, now, it seems you're taking a few different sides, here." "One seems like the side that got you into Slytherin, trashing the school like that in such a nonchalant way," "And the other seems to take the side of Mudbloods." "So which is it?" Drusilla and Prusilla asked, raising their eyebrows. "Hold on, slow down a moment. A . . ." "Subtle, planned out approach? Just to take care of some," "Mudbloods? Come now, seems much too complicated for such a simple idea." "So the answer is no. We haven't thought of trying that."

Rychard help but give the new girl an odd look after mouthing a good morning back to Ashlyn. Yet after that he was assaulted with weird statements and questions.
"My teeth aren't funny, they're just pointed." He said after getting rid of the odd look that was spread obviously all over his face. "I'm a vampire; well half vampire anyway, don't worry I don't require blood though."

User ImageDaren listened to their outburst at his first comment with some amusement, shaking his head lightly as if disappointed. He had expected them to react this way. He had done a fairly good job at noting their movements and general attitude.

"Well, that doesn't surprise me much. You don't seem like the types to think on a large scale if you'll forgive my bluntness. Your method works fine enough if you want to just keep them away from you, but for a more...lasting solution? Planning is needed." He replied with a careless wave of his arm. "You saw what happened last night right? A small incident, but it left a lingering sense of anxiety in the air don't you think? Whoever pulled that off planned it out ahead of time to ccreate the biggest impact without raising to much alarm." He added, his eyes glinting a bit as he carefully calculated every word he said. He wouldn't give them any proof that he had done it yet. Oh he'd let them come to that conclusion, but not out right say it. Why give them proof before he was sure they were going to help him?

"Yes, if all you want to do is scare a few mudbloods then carry on...." He said, starting to turn away from the pair. He would lure them in slowly, with just the smallest hints as to his plans. "But....If you wanted to, I don't know...seem them gone completely. along wiht the muggles and halfbloods, them perhaps you should...re-think your tactics? " He added over his shoulder, flashing Belle a grin. If they were going to join him, then this should prove it. He would give them a moment to think it over, while he started for the Great Hall.
