Maribelle had went back to looking out the window, but was quite surprised when he continued talking to her. She uncrossed her legs to face him properly, placing her hands in her lap. "I'm Maribelle Stark. Pleasure to meet you." she replied with her same polite grin. Belle looked down, and then back at up at him. He seemed to be.. observing her. Her face didn't change, it normally didn't. Guys usually tended to give up on her because of how hard she was to read. She was wonderful at keeping things to herself, and she was fairly hard to understand.

"Is there a particular reason why getting the chance to chat with me is so wonderful?" she asked, curiously, her face still unmoving from her grin. Maribelle didn't recall being famous, or even popular for that matter. She could have been well known as the girl who didn't make it a habit to talk to anyone, or the girl who cringed at the sight of aurors and white lights. Trauma could definitely have that kind of effect on someone.

User ImageSeeing that it didn't appear she was going to take his proffered handshake, he moved his arm up, resting his chin in his palm, his elbow on his knee. "Well, it is always nice to meet new people and see what one can learn from them. Everyone has a different look on things, and I like to see individual outlooks." He replied calmly to her inquiry.

He used his free hand to push his just slightly too long, brown hair away from his face, focusing his piercing hazel eyes on Marabelle. "It is especially pleasant to be able to have the chance to speak with a fellow classmate. It's surprising that we haven't had the chance t talk before now Miss. Stark."

((I don't know how to do those picture posts so excuse my plainness please))

Rychard had been early to King's Cross station that morning. It seemed as much as the other students avoided him their parents were disgusted by him. Rychard didn't care but more than one year he had been the butt of some adult's joke. This year he avoided it entirely and was sitting in an empty compartment for at least an hour before others began to trickle in. He was reading while twirling his wand through his fingers as a drummer would his drum sticks and was content to spend the whole ride doing so as Rychard often ignored the lunch trolley; his one vice Blood Pops weren't sold on the Hogwarts Express. Not giving any heed to the noises of other students nor the periodic opening and then hurried shutting of his compartment door Rychard continued to flick through the pages of his book as he finished their contents.

User Image Amethyst continued down the train until she found a compartment that was almost completely empty. Thanking her good fortune she saw that the person occupying it was a memeber of her own house, Ravenclaw. Hesitantly she knocked lightly on the door, hoping that it was loud enough to be discernible over the noise of her fellow classmates.

Shifting slightly from one foot to the other, she clutched her trunk as her nerves jangled a bit when she thought about having to converse with someone new. "M-may I sit in here as well?" She asked over a moment's hesitation, her voice light and unsure.

((Okay))

Without getting up Rychard pointed his wand at the door and with a casual flick of his wrist it slid open. Looking up at the girl he noticed she was one of his house and that unconsciously made him smile. Of course that caused his fangs to show so he ended the smile quickly.
"You know contrary to popular belief I don't bite." He said in a cool flowing voice "And I'm not in here alone because I wish to be, of course you can come in."
Sitting up he waited for the girl to respond and help her with her trunk if she wished to come in.

User Image Amethyst's eyes widened slightly afraid she might have offended him, but stepped into the compartment. "I didn't mean to offend.... S-sorry I'm not very good with...talking really." She stammered quickly. She missed the flash of his teeth in his smile as she stumbled slightly walking across the door frame and her face reddened a bit from embarrassment.

" I'm Amethyst Everwood. We're in the same year aren't we?" She asked, trying to redeem herself a bit. She recognized him from classes, but couldn't recall his name. she had noticed that he seemed more of a loner like her, but didn't know why.

Rychard stood in a quick fluid motion and with another flick of his wand caused Amethyst's trunk to float lazily on to rack above the seats. He smiled quickly with closed lips and sat down again.
"It is nice to meet you Amethyst, I'm Rychard." He said while motioning for her to sit down. "Please don't be so nervous like I said I don't bite."

User Image Finding herself suddenly relieved of he trunk, Amethyst sat down in one of the empty seats,a nd crossed her legs gently at the ankle in front of her. "I am sorry. It really isn't anything you did, I just....I get very nervous when I talk to others. It is something that I cannot help..." She tried to explain. She tried her best to appear more relaxed as she smiled a bit. "And I hardly see any reason why you should be so adamant in making sure I know you don't bite...It was never a concern to begin with." She added.

Rychard leaned back and crossed his arms sceptically.
"So no one has ever told you?" He asked tilting his head to the side in a curious manner "I know I've never hid what I am but seriously you've never heard any of the rumors. Amethyst I think it's only fair to tell you that you are in the same compartment as a half-vampire."
After he said this he sighed and laid back down as experience had taught him as soon as you tell people you're part anything, so long as it is remotely dangerous, usually their next move is an attempt to get as far away from you ask possible. Of course he wouldn't blame her for running and would happily take her trunk off the train if she ran off without it.

User Image Amethyst watched him shift, and felt a slight pang of uncertainty when he told her what he was, but quickly her brain kicked in to the rational."Oh! Well, no I had never heard that...I am not much one for listening to gossip, but I mean...obviously your not dangerous." She stated after a moment. "I mean you have been going to school now for years, and no one has ever been attacked, and I mean, it's not the first incident of a student being different...." She started to ramble a bit. When she realized how much she was saying she quickly shut up, her face reddening again.

Maribelle nodded to his response. She wasn't entirely expecting to hear something like that, but it did make sense. You could learn quite a lot from other people, even people you didn't particularly like. For example, how not to be like them. "Hm, that's very interesting." she started. She was quickly running out of things to say. It wasn't often she held a conversation this long, or even spoke at all. They just weren't her.. thing.

She almost laughed when he found it surprising that they hadn't talked before, but she managed to contain herself. "I'm not surprised. People normally don't make it a habit to talk to me. I'm what one would call 'socially awkward'" she said with air quotes. "And please, call me Maribelle or Belle, Miss. Stark sounds much too formal." she suggested, the same unreadable grin plastered upon her lightly tanned features.

User Image Daren shifted every so slightly in his seat, repositioning himself so that he was leaning just a bit toward Maribelle. He kept his body language carefully controlled to appear interested and friendly without being to forward. "Alright, I will call you Belle then if that is acceptable." He said with another pleasant smile. Glancing down at his watch he noted that the train would be leaving soon and felt a pang of anticipation. He had so much planned for this year, and it was only a matter of days until he could start the preparations.

"I have to argue to the contrary Belle. I don't find you socially awkward at all, more so thoughtfully quiet. It is a shame that people nowadays misunderstand that. Everyone is in such a rush to make sure that their opinion is heard that they don't think before they speak anymore." He replied easily, waving of her comment. As he watched her he came to notice that she seemed to keep a careful control over her expressions, much like he did.

Maribelle remained unmoved as she watched him slightly lean towards her. Her back was straight against the seat, her hands delicately placed in her lap. It wasn't that she was proper, she was just making it clear that she had walls, and she wasn't taking them down for anyone. Even someone as charming as the boy in front of her. He appeared sweet, sure, but Belle wouldn't have any way to know what kind of shenanigans he'd pull if she did happen to bring her walls down.

"I must agree, it is a shame." she thought about everyone who thought she had some sort of psychological problem, or the people who assumed she was a mute and didn't bother talking to her. They hadn't even given her the chance, she just simply preferred to be spoken to first before speaking. It was just in her nature to not strike up a conversation with every person she comes across. "People really should think before they jump to conclusions. I'm rarely even given the chance. But it's no matter, they're of no importance to me." she explained with a shrug. And they weren't. When she was out being successful, they would be eating all of their words.

User Image "Well it is good that you don't let it bother you at least. I wouldn't mind seeing some changes myself but I suppose I'll have to wait until I graduate for that." Daren noted. He continued to watch her facial expressions and body language as they talked, noting that she held herself carefully separate.

Falling silent he let the conversation die out a bit, as he glanced out the window, watching the last straggling students race to bid farewell to their families and board the train. He had never had his family with him when he left for the train, since both his parents were busy working for the ministry, but he never let it bother him much. To him it made no difference coming by himself, since he and his mother didn't get on well anyway, and his dad was busy helping him get ready for when he started working at the ministry.

Rychard smiled at girl and this time it was full. It was the first time had heard anything other than silence from his fellow classmates. Even if the girl was nervous it seemed that her behavior was brought on by a mere wariness of meeting new people. If he thought about it he had seen the girl around the common room and even in those memories she was a tad socially clumsy.
"It's not really gossip when it's true though." He said smirking "I've never hidden what I am and to a point I have to say that I am proud of it. However even if I needed to fulfill certain necessities as some of my race still do I wouldn't be so foolish as to pick from my peers at Hogwarts."
Rychard hoped that the girl would see his joke for what it was and not that he was being serious.
