"Pretty good, more or less." Shard smiled as she tried to break free of Mercury's hold. She gripped her stomach, hoping that he could hold on just a little bit longer. She just hoped Hokuto could take hearing the news.

((how's this for a plot twist? lol))

Mercury felt her body tearing apart and sent splattering in all directions. It muddled her thoughts getting pulled apart like that. Then she felt parts of her body getting hit by magma. Molten stone certainly ruined the metal of her body until it could be pulled back together. Her head lay at the foot of a fountain and she concentrated. Pulling the pieces of her body slowly back to herself. She found she was diminished by perhaps 50 lbs of metal that had been ruined by the magma.

She sat up and groaned feeling pain all over. She collapsed against the fountain and heard the clang of metal. Underneath the heavy pants to keep it from rusting the fountain was steel, the primary makeup of her body. She pulled back a hand making a fist of solid iron and slammed it into the fountain breaking the paint off. Then she started ripping pieces off of it, pushing them into her body where it automatically started assimilating them into her liquid form.

Somehow the money from the robbery had survived in one of her segments after being blasted off the dragon. But the medicine she had gotten for Kali was gone blasted by the magma. This made her quite upset.

Her body finished absorbing the metal and she spat out the unwanted slag onto the ground. The water from the broken fountain running quickly down the hill where it had stood.

"Ok," she said in heavily accented English. Where as before she had only spoken Russian now she was angry. "You have now managed to piss me off."

Hokuto saw Mercury and shot even more magma,then Mira followed it with an ice beam. Hokuto sprouted several volcanoes to draw even more magma from,and Mira used the sewer water to power her ice beam.

Shard was glad she was free from the stranglehold. She armed herself and prepared to attack.

Hokuto saw Mercury and shot even more magma,then Mira followed it with an ice beam. Hokuto sprouted several volcanoes to draw even more magma from,and Mira used the sewer water to power her ice beam.

Mercury made her body as slender and flexible as possible, it would have been easier if she had more tin in her body but she would manage. She dodged and wove around and between the magma and ice beams. Extreme temperatures could seriously harm her, no joke about that. The park was becoming lethal. She had to get out of there.

She dodged around trees as she headed towards the edge of the park and back into town again. Once among the people she was sure the heroes wouldn't dare use such lethal measures.

As a parting gift she pulled liquid mercury from the pools in her eyes and covered the tips of darts that appeared on her arms in the poisons metal. She twisted and sent a dozen of those darts flying at Hakuto and Mira before landing on a street and running through the crowds of civilians who had been unaware of the battle.
