"You keep this attitude up to your superiors and you will be knocked back down to youngling!," said the old man with a hint of anger in his voice.

Neo stared down his master, he fought for the clan his whole life, his parents both died for this clan, to be knocked down to youngling would only make things harder for himself and dishonor what little respect he had left. "The day, you knock me down to youngling...will be the day I will say goodbye to this clan...," threatened Neo.

Neo heard the snap and turned his head "Who's there!," he said quickly, then blinked.

"Oh Sage of Life!," said the old man with a bow.

Neo stared at the old man and bowed quietly in respect to her.

"Forgive us, what you heard was not the way we protectors of the Lost Sages should behave...," said the old man quietly.

Neo continued to stare at him quietly then went back to looking at Alisia. Neo was slightly embarrassed about her catching him and his master in an argument, he folded his arms. "It turns out Neo will be protecting you for a little while...just until the leaders come back to the encampment!," he said, saying the last part while getting up to Neo's face, as if he was ordering him.

Neo watched him walk away, he stared him down for awhile before turning his attention back to Alisia "Sorry you had to see that...some of us Clan members don't really agree on certain things," said Neo. "Other than that...I guess it's my job to watch you..," he finished.
Iris couldn't help but wrinkle her nose in disgust when walking into the crowded stable. The only thing that made her feel slightly better was the fact that the horses seemed to be in good condition. She hoped it was because the horses roamed freely during the day instead of being cooped up in this disaster area called a barn.

"Do you know anything about horses?" Iris asked Shiek quietly not really wanting the man from the gate to hear them. "This is...well weird for me, but I've never actually seen a horse up close before. Nobody has a need for them where I come from." She hoped she didn't sound like the idiot she was sure she did, but she didn't want to make a bad choice. She didn't know anything about prices or actual worth and hoped Shiek would be able to help.

Alisia let out the breath of air she had been holding in. She had been spotted. She felt a little embarrassed, it wasn't in her nature to spy on people, being caught gave people the wrong idea about her. Of course, it was also unusual for clan members to be fighting.
She watched the two man carefully, Neo continued to stare at the older man, and the man stared at her. It almost made her want to laugh.
She watched the feud continue, the older man was right up in Neo's face as he said his words. Alisia backed away from the two, they weren't going to fight were they? Alisia had encountered quite a few fights in the village after the castle town had been attacked. They all started out like this, and sometimes there was even death. She hated death, every time she saw it happen it traumatized her. Why was she so afraid of it? Alisia had a bigger fear of death than most people, some would say she is just paranoid. She agreed.
Soon, the man walked away leaving an awkward silence.
"I see that," she said quietly, looking at Neo, "I didn't realize finding someone to watch me was such a problem." She commented. Her words sounded a little harsh, but it wasn't towards Neo, or any of the clan members. Alisia didn't like the thought of being watched over, but it seemed necessary after what she had witnessed in Hyrule field.

"Don't think of it like that...," he said and sighed, keeping his hood up over his face. "I've been giving that old man a hard time ever since I was a kid and he won't let me get by with anything, this argument had nothing to do with watching you," said Neo as he walked over to her. "I take it you heard about my parents...well...please keep it to yourself...," he said, not asking, more like telling her not to talk about it.

"Alright so...since your under my 'ever watchful eye'," he said jokingly, smiling slightly "please, do what you wish...don't worry, I have ways of watching you and it'll be like I'm not even there," he said and pointed to the camp. "Right now your beyond the safety zone...so...you may want to head towards the camp," he finished.

(( No perversion intended in that post. Just letting you all know >.< ))

Zelda did know a bit about horses, but hadn't been on one for more than seven years. Sheik simply didn't have anything to do with them because he didn't need them. Shiek tried to remember what Impa had told her long ago, back when he was still Zelda and didn't need to hide the true nature of who she was." I know that different horses are built for different things. The main things you want to look for in a horse are speed, stamina, and ability to carry fairly large loads. I don't think you'll be needing yours to carry large loads, so we'll just look for the other two."

Shiek nodded at Iris, understanding. She remembered that another Kokiri boy had taken a while to get used to horses as well. "Fortunately, the horses that are built for only speed are the most expensive to buy. We're looking with one with balance." Shiek walked untill he found one that looked like what they where looking for. It was a jet-black Stallion that seemed eager to run out in the open fields. Shiek turned to Iris again "What do you think about this one?"

"I understand," Alisia responded referring to his request for her to keep quite about his parents. She could do that, keeping secrets was something she was good at. It was a comfort to know she wasn't being a burden on the clan, well, at least not as much as she had thought she was. It was going to be different having someone watch her constantly, or maybe like Neo said, she wouldn't even notice he was there.
"Safety zone?" She repeated walking back towards the camp, "There is a safety zone?" Alisia laughed slightly, finding the idea a little silly, it made her feel like a little girl. She didn't know how normal she would act now that she knew someone was watching her, maybe she would get used to it over time.

Iris looked towards the black horse with a thoughtful expression. "What exactly does balance mean?" She asked curiously. She knew she probably sounded stupid, but she had never in her life owned a horse. Before leaving her home, she didn't even think she would ever own one. She walked over to the horse before putting her hand out towards it's face. She smiled as the horse nuzzled against her hand with it's nose.

"It's beautiful." She murmered softly before turning her attention back towards Shiek. "How much rupees do you think it will cost?"

"Well how should I know?," he asked, realizing that she was laughing at his "safety zone" comment "Your the..," he said and thought about it "first person I have to protect," he said calmly. Neo figured he would just let her know that, he went looking at the tents "Well...I have no idea where you can sleep for the night," he said as he looked through the tents.

Neo was thinking that maybe she could sleep in the girls clan members tent, the were definitely enough beds in there. "alright, let me show you where you'll be sleeping," he said and led her down a pathway of smaller tents.

After a little while he pointed to a slightly large tent "In there...don't worry, as long as you have that ring, they will accept you with open arms," he said. "Other than that, you can go swimming in the lake or explore the camp like we said earlier," he said and turned to leave.

Alisia turned to look at him, she was the first person he had to protect? It made her a little uneasy, but then she remembered how he fought in Hyrule field, her doubt was quickly diminished. Not that she had much to worry about, even if she had been given a weak clan member, she was sure there were others that would come to aid her if she needed help.
Alisia's attention was quickly switched to her sleeping arrangements. She hoped Neo was right, that the other females would welcome her with open arms. She wouldn't mind sleeping in a tent with them, but first meetings were always risky. But Alisia wasn't tired yet, or so she thought. Going back by the lake seemed like a good idea to her.
"Okay, thanks." She said to Neo as he turned to leave, giving him a smile. Alisia then started heading towards the lake, her favorite spot. How could she possible sleep after all that happened? She had found out something very exciting, and it was difficult for her to sleep when she was in such a mood. Plus, she had encountered some of Gannondorfs allies and even fought them. Who knew that all of this could happen in a day?
Alisia sat at the shore, the same spot she had sat earlier. Her feet ached, as she wasn't used to so much walking, sitting felt good on her feet. The water appealed to her, it looked cool and soothing. She slipped off her shoes, and dipped her feet in the water, hoping the water would cure the ache in her feet.

Shiek chuckled slightly. This girl was just soaking up all the information he was giving her. Shiek kind of felt like a teacher in that way. He gave Iris an answer that didn't only apply to horses. "Balance means that if you have too much of one aspect of things, it makes the other aspects less prominent, but all the more precious. It is the natural order of things to have balance."

Shiek looked at the horse. It was indeed beautiful, as the Kokiri had observed. He opened the gate and led it our by the reins. "How much does it cost? That's a tough one, you never know with this rancher. Most likely slightly more than we have." Shiek kept a pouch of rupees for times like this. Shiek would never use them, but had them for others to use. He produced it seemingly out of nowhere and held it in his hand. "Let's see if this satisfies him before we show him how much we really have."

He lead the horse over to the rancher. "You want him? That's Blackjack, and he's one of my finest." Shiek threw the slightly heavy pouch over to the rancher. The rancher looked inside. "Oh, it's gonna take more than that mate. I don't part with my horses easily." Shiek sighed. He hoped that this wouldn't get too difficult.
Iris let out a sigh before pulling out a poutch of her own. It was significantly smaller but she hoped it would do.
"Listen, this is all we have. If your not going to sell the horse then just say so, but I'm not going to stand here and deal with a man that's being overly difficult." She replied coldly while placing a hand on her hip. She knew she probably shouldn't be so rude but she did not have the paitiance to deal with a man who obviously just wanted to see how much he could squeeze out of the two travelers. Their own forest store manager had ofton times been like that. Luckily people tended to drop money in the oddest of places.

LINK
the Hero of Time

When the fan made contact with his shield , and Malon asked what kind of monster it was, Link turned around quickly and said "I don't know probably a new kind of stalfo" link said, not knowing if Malon knew about them "Navi do you have a good look at it?" he asked his fairy"No its to dark" the fairy said. Dark that was a word that made Link think of something if it was a stalfo, then the sun could affect it. so he quickly got his ocarina out and played Sun's song, and seconds later the sun began to rise.

Shiek was slightly surprised my this show of gumption coming from the Kokiri. Shiek could tell that Iris knew how to fend for herself. The rancher took the other pouch of rupees, checking its contents again. He looked like he was about to get difficult again, so Shiek produced his knife and started twirling it around. It wasn't exactly what she would have preferred to have done, but Shiek kind of knew that it would come to threats. The rancher changed his ways after that. "Well, i guess i can let this slide just this one time."

Shiek handed the leads over to Iris. "There, your first horse. Take good care of him, and he'll take care of you too." When the rancher had left from their presence, Shiek turned to Iris again. "That was impressive, what you did back there. I wouldn't have guessed you had it in you to stand up to him like that."

Shiek watched as the sun rose unusually early, and thought she knew who was behind it.

~Malon~

Malon jumped when the......thing...... attacked Link's sheild. She didn't want him to get hurt, and would never forgive herself if he did.

She was wondering why playing a tune on his Ocarina would help them when the sun started to rise. She was glad of it, because she was so sick of shadows. Malon was much less afraid now, and moved to get a better look at what was attacking them. She was surprised when she saw a....girl. One that looked to be about her age. Malon thought that it was unlikely that she would be one of Ganondorf's minions.

She turned to their attacker, still holding her pitchfork. "Who are you? What reason do you have for attacking us like this?"

Iris shrugged her shoulders before looking thoughtfully at her horse. It was hard to remember sometimes when she had even started growing a back bone. She used to stay in constantly, rarely choosing to leave her tree. Then of course these...monsters had shown up giving Iris even more reason to stay inside. What had changed?

Saria

The girl had taken it upon herself to almost be like Iris' own older sister. She forced Iris to get out of her home and fend for herself while others cowered in fear. She talked of The Hero of Time, explaining how he himself had never been afraid and neither should the rest of the forest children. But what had really done it? It had been the death of Illana, her own fairy that had been her childhood best friend. The day Illana had died had been the terrible, even worst was the news that Saria would be leaving soon after. So Iris looked towards Shiek and took her words as a compliment. They were the proof Iris needed to know she truely had changed for the better in a world that needed these changes.

"So tell me, where will you go after this?" Iris asked curiously. She wouldn't admit it out loud, but she rather enjoyed his company.
