[ ✂ ] Touko Fukawa [ ✂ ]
[ Location: 2nd floor : Her room ]
"The unwilling host of the mansion"

User ImagePhone... That phone was here somewhere.
...That name... she remembered it. The owner mentioned 'Ragna' at some point. And mentioned that as soon as he arrived, to inform the owner. It triggered more to her memory though, not forgetting what she heard from the owner. It felt like a joke, the 'guests from other worlds' part seeming like just a foolish and stretched couple of words. After what she saw though, she was inclined to believe. And now had to talk to the owner. First, she needed to get to the phone! Fukawa had only had a day to get used to this place before the others arrived, but she remembered in her room there was a special phone here somewhere. It was a little odd in her room, but not exactly out of place, as Fukawa's room was a little bare itself with anything special.

Her room was a dull gray color. Not black. Not white, just a shade of gray that matched her eyes with no real decor to it, and one small window with dull black curtains letting in just the faintest bit of light. A table with fake flowers, a shelf with numerous books along it, and then another which was her dresser for cloths. Off in one corner was a large desk, to one side being a computer and printer, and to the other side being a typewriter that looked like it came from the 50s. By her bed, the next shelf and dresser unit was an utter pile of papers, manuscripts, writings, unfinished books, all piled around eachother, ready to topple over to the black sheet covered bed that they were already surrounding. Finally was very small table alone in the corner, and on it was a folder labeled 'Letters' for her to place the invites in, and a vintage styled phone beside it. Not her phone, but one that the 'owner' to this mansion said she could call on if there was any trouble. ...That, and to keep her bargain, since she needed to keep in touch almost daily.

Fukawa had to catch her breath, panicked after what she just went through, her mind racing with thoughts over this theory she had, and not to mention the 'face' of that strange, hood wearing humanoid she saw making her all the more uncomfortable. Sure, that person seemed to be near Celestia and from what she saw in the briefest glance, they were talking, but it was still a face Fukawa couldn't trust. That was because the 'face' was the whole problem; she couldn't see it! People who hid their face were by default extremely suspicious, and Fukawa was frightened by the whole thing.

"Host Person, Host Person! Tao has her letter here for you! Come out and feed me, meow!"

She had her hand over her heart, trying to catch her breath before approaching the phone and putting the letters away for now. Just as she did though, and gathered herself to make a call to the owner of this place on the vintage styled phone, she heard a sudden patter against her door. Not a knock, nor pounding, but it sounded almost like... pawing? Wait, and did that person just meow like a cat? Ugh, that voice was so loud too, the pitch rather high and irritating. Not that Fukawa's was any better when she got afraid or nervous, but this was just odd. She needed to make that call, but this... this was just hard to ignore.

User Image

Not daring to let anyone in her room, Fukawa would slowly go to the door, nervous as ever, a shaky hand up to her face, the other opening the door a crack. She was shaking, clearly stirred up from all of the events, peering only half her face past the door. For Taokaka, that was more than enough of a chance for her to get in if she tried, Fukawa not having the strength to resist her. However, her demeanor was clearly nervous, actually shaking behind the door when she saw it was the strange creature in the cloak, those red eyes and smile on her 'face' making Fukawa deeply unsettled. Though... was that a tail like a cats? A-And there were clearly breasts under that cloak. And those tanned legs looked human. So then... what was she under that hood?

"Y..Yes? You... you have a letter?" Her voice was meek and shakey, Fukawa wanting no one in her room, and needing some space from people right now after everything that happened. But when this creature that called itself 'Tao' mentioned it had a letter, and asked for food, once again her duty called, forcing her to interact with another, even if every bone in her body told her not to, and she was ghostly pale, heart racing and body trembling from all of the anxiety and fright.

Kyle just kind of glossed over the part about Ken Masters from Ryu. It wasn't really important. But seriously if there was such a big-hearted guy in the world, it needed more of them that was for damn sure. No the important part was Ryu's answer to his seemingly silly question. Ryu would have given Hyde a weird look but had then stuck his hand out in greeting and said to Kyle, "It's nice to meet you, Kyle Hyde. Now, what do you mean by "speaking Japanese"? You do know you're speaking it too, you know that right?" Which almost made Kyle laugh right there and now. Hyde would then smirk at Ryu and take the hand of his and shake it.

"That's the problem there Ryu. I can't speak a damn bit of Japanese. I can't understand it any better. Proved that more than enough when I was asking for a cup of coffee earlier in the day. But now you, I, and pretty much any one in this mansion can communicate with each other." While saying this Kyle would jab a finger in the indicated directions and then look up at the mansion, a dark musing smile on his lips. "This place is the reason.. I have a gut feeling. This place is the reason for all the weird s**t going on.. and I bet it's hiding the reason its doing so. Damnit.. I was supposed to be on vacation." Kyle would grimace as he thought of the people in the back yard and just what ever horrors this place would unleash. Hyde knew it wasn't the truth, but he felt that the mansion asked him here only to taunt him. To bait him to find out its secrets. After all, why invite a now good door to door salesman like him when it could find people that would be much more entertaining.

For once since coming to this damned place, Kyle felt a sense of purpose. He was once again drawn into the thick of things, again by a seemingly strong hand of fate. But something was off in this. Something he hadn't been privy to. Some secret that was hidden just around his awareness, yet he couldn't place a thought to it, let alone a name. This bugged the hell out of Kyle, and this was something he was used to feeling. Gone were the thoughts of the super powered people for the moment. The only thoughts for Kyle was what made the mansion tick, and the most important of all, why did it need them all here? Hyde was going to get down to the bottom of this.. but he had no clue where to start. Hyde started to look deep in thought, as if he were mulling something over. The car maybe a forgotten detail as the ex detective picked up his suitcase. "Dunnknow about you Ryu, but tryin' to figure out mysteries on an empty stomach sucks. Lets head inside. Maybe we can find the Hostess, Touko Fukawa somewhere around there as well." Kyle would say as he began to head inside. He would stop short a moment then and look back at Ryu. "I hate when there are secrets around and people just scream them, as if they are just dying to tell someone. Defeats the purpose of a secret, don't you think?" He would say before he ducked inside the house. He was feeling a bit more upbeat about things now that he had something else to wrap his mind around..no matter how he might protest.

Reimu gripped her purification rod shakily with frustration and quickly lowered it down, hearing the speckled girl apologize. "...are you alright, Rei?" she heard from Ranma and gave a small nod.

"Hm? Yeah, I'm fine." The young man at least apologized, but as the red giant said, the girl looked like a nervous wreck, which irritated the shrine maiden even more. If she couldn't grab any answers from their host, she could might as well beat it out of her if she refused.. That was usually how Reimu did it anyway.

The shrine maiden tapped her foot impatiently as she listened to the group talk about some complication with a letter. By the doors, she noticed some middle-aged man running off; seemingly a little suspicious, but she took less mind of it. Maybe that rocket from before crushed something of his.

Now, the red giant looked perplexed after finding Kamina holding a letter addressed to someone named Ragna, but with that, the speckled girl quickly darted off, promising to come back. What was with this confusion? Couldn't this host be any more useful to answer or at least handle what was happening? Reimu was about to run after the girl, but another man blocked the doorway to her grimace. He waved and grabbed their attention. "We all seem to have questions, but I don't think that startled girl is going to be of much help. Not yet anyway. Might I suggest the library?" he asked.

"Ah, another person. That girl said to wait, but I don't think she'll be as much use compared to the library anyway." Reimu replied, scratching her head. She sounded a bit irritated, but she was starting to calm down for the group. They didn't need more arguments and fights during their first day.

She tilted her head towards Kamina and the red giant as the giant introduced himself to be-- .. uh, some numbers and Iron Tager. The shrine maiden turned too and went to introduce herself. "I'm Hakurei Reimu, and most people just call me Reimu. We've had a rough start together, but we should start on being acquaintances during our time here," Reimu forced a small smile. She didn't hate anyone as it appeared to look like, although she snapped at Kamina and accused the sniper by the window for being a bad guy. For now, she could only hope that neither hated on her for that, and the group would either wait for the speckled girl or go to the library.

Ranma continued to give Sousuke the stink eye as he took full blame for the rocket situation, only to sigh as it seemed the others were going to let it slide. Then again, she supposed that she really couldn't blamde Sousuke; if Kamina had started to cause trouble with Gurren, Ranma's herself would have had to follow her martial code and try to stop it. Then again, Ranma doesn't pack a rocket launcher on her person.

Sousuke noted as Fukawa moved away from him rather than replying to his question. Okay, he must have scared her; she's fine. At least, that's what he would think. He wasn't too sure he would remain fine, one hand having been reaching for a hidden flash bang when it sounded like he was forgiven, at least for now. Just like that, the discussion changed from who to blame for the rocket firing to Kamina's outburst that the letter had interrupted a fight; and it wasn't addressed to him, but someone else. That's bad messengering right there. Tager spoke about how it seemed strange that Kamina received that letter; considering it was meant for someone named Ranga. Yet another odd name to the military man. He hears anymore he's going to need to start writing these names down. Then Fukawa started acting strange, asking if Ragna was not from this world. "That can't be possible," Sousuke started, crossing his arms. Mithril would have known something like that, wouldn't they? Besides, he looks to Tager before saying what he did next. "You're saying you touched the letter and just spontaniously arrived here? I had mine over a week and had to take a cab here." Well, he was lying about the cab, but he still came here normally. He gave Kamina an odd look as he mentioned something about spirals and magnets; there was no way that was real, right?

Ranma sighs at this conversation, sticking a pinkey near her ear and making as if she was cleaning her ear out while Kamina made his outburst about how he has to be the only one that doesn't know who this Ragna guy is. She gave a light nod and smile to Reimu at hearing she's fine, though gave a serious look to "Don't look at me. Dunno who this ranga or those beastmen you're talking about are," she replied simlpy, her other hand against her hip. At the mentioning of other worlds, though, her brows furrowed lightly. Could it be possible? The hand that was near her ear shifted instead to her chin. As she pondered that, Fukawa took off and another face appeared suggesting tehy move to the library; as well as the red Giant introducing himself as Tager and Kamina.... needing no further introduction. "...yeah... I'm Ranma Saotome," she introduced herself, leaving out the anything goes martial arts part this time.

"Sousuke Sagara," he introduced himself in that same stiff manner as he had before in the living room. That covered everyone but the blonde that had just joined them outside, picking up the rocket launcher and shoving it back into his bag. Sousuke couldn't hate anyone, they have done nothing yet to gain his anger; and so far the only ones that had ever gotten him truly angry have ended up dead. That shouldn't happen here, right?

Ranma looks up to Rei a moment after Sousuke introduced himself, something coming to mind. "Rei... you mentioned where you came from when you and I first met, right?" she asks. "Where was it again?"

Fai wasn't exactly the loudest of the bunch, so it was no surprise that his voice didn't carry to the ears of the others. His head slowly fell to one side, exhaling softly. At least everyone seemed to be getting along. It was probably their mutual annoyance towards Touko, unfortunately. That wasn't to say the blonde male didn't harbor any negative feelings toward the girl, but the guests didn't seem to catch on that she wasn't completely filled in either.
Upon hearing Reimu, Fai perked up. "I'm sorry. I should introduce myself as well. I'm Fai D. Flourite" He replied, taking a step back to allocate room for others to pass through if they so chose. From what he had gathered so far, he seemed to be the only one who wasn't shocked by visitors from other realms. If they were to ask of his origin, answering might prove to be difficult. Furthermore, letting on that he traveled dimensions would leave him as a suspect. Sometimes, lying was the only choice.
It seemed they only had two options at the moment. They could indeed wait for Touko Fukawa to emerge and shed some light, but he wasn't so certain it would happen in a timely manner. Or they could do some investigating of their own and try and piece it together. A third option did come to mind, but it involved some unnecessary violence which ultimately might not get them anywhere. Hopefully, now that someone had managed to key into his suggestion, others would verbalize their opinions on the matter. Perhaps, a vote would be appropriate.

Ryu noticed his smirk as they shook hands. He listened to Kyle's explanation on how he could understand him since Kyle cannot speak Japanese at all. Ryu continued to look at it pensively before he thought about the letter he received. A mysterious sender, people able to understand each other without learning a language, and apparently weird people gathering together. It did make lots of sense that this place could hold a secret that should not be known to them.

"It seems logical enough. Although, maybe it might be someone else's doing that is hiding inside the mansion or is one of the members that could manipulate such a power. I see what you mean Kyle," he responded to him approvingly about his accusation of the mansion.

"Dunnknow about you Ryu, but tryin' to figure out mysteries on an empty stomach sucks. Lets head inside. Maybe we can find the Hostess, Touko Fukawa somewhere around there as well."

Ryu's stomach growled before he let out a smile of agreement. "Yeah, it may be a good idea to actually get some food, I am starving." He started as he followed the man in. Kyle stopped short for a second and said something about people spoiling secrets which would defeat the purpose of said secret. Ryu blinked a bit in surprise at such a out of place question. He nodded uncertainly, not getting what he meant.

"I wonder what that was about?" he thought about while they entered the house.

That's what Kyle liked to hear! Any one who could appreciate a good meal was okay in his book. However, as they started to stride through the main area of the first floor, Kyle began to hear voices coming from the kitchen area. Well he guessed they couldn't stay outside forever, but he didn't really feel up to meeting up with the group at that point in time. He shook his head and guessed he had better head upstairs.. Though sending the new guy to meet them might be okay. He seemed the type to at least play nice, unlike himself. "Hey Ryu, I've actually decided against getting something to heavy to eat. I'm gonna look around a bit. But it sounds like the others from out back are headed this way. If you head straight back and to the left, you should find the kitchen and them. You can go say hey and see what you can learn. I'm going to head upstairs." He would mention to Ryu as he would wave a hand in a wave and begin up the steps.

Heading up the steps and to the second floor, Kyle could hear some voices off down the hall, and so decided to duck into the first doorway available to him. The door was nice and heavy. Not so much a slight person couldn't open, but enough that Kyle could guess what the place was even before he saw the long bar and the card tables. The room gave off that sort of muted darker feel, not in that evil foreboding sort of way, but rather more in the relaxed home away from home way most bars tended to try and get. The bar seemed pretty well stocked and his eyes got taken over when he saw a nice nine year bourbon on one of the shelves. It was almost like it were calling his name and he let his lips spread into a pleased smirk. Letting the heavy door swing shut behind him with a satisfying whisper of noise, Kyle would walk towards the bar, but then feel the eyes of another in the room. Looking over in the direction of one of the tables he saw the young girl he'd dubbed Drills. She was sitting at the head of the poker table, hands on a deck of cards like they were her best pals. This caused Kyle to raise a brow, but he continued towards the bar.

"You know, they say you shouldn't let young people into a bar."He would start as he got behind the bar. "But they say a lot of stupid stuff. So damn'em. As long as you take your time and enjoy it rather thank knocking them back like you're a fish and don't get drunk, I think its fine. There's a reason they call 'em spirits, and that's cause they are there to help a soul relax." He would say as he got two smaller glasses, of what would be called 'Old-fashioned' by bartenders. He poured himself some of the nine year bourbon, stopping about half way up the glass. He would look up and across the bar at the young girl whose name he'd not learned yet. "You wanna bit of something light? Also looks like you're itching for a couple hands of the 'game that made Vegas'. The people from the back yard are lose around the house so I don't mind joining you for a couple games." Kyle would say to the young girl. In truth, Kyle recognized someone who wanted some solitude away from loud noises and idiocy. Plus she seemed ideal to start asking about this place since he had noted a bit of her familiarity with their host. The earlier point he had butted in had given him a clear view of whom knew whom in that point from downstairs.

Ryu looked around the mansion's insides a bit in awe on how great it looks despite the rumors about it. He heard Kyle say that he was gonna explore for a bit before eating and told Ryu to directions to the kitchen with people there. Ryu nodded his head in agreement before he started to walk towards said kitchen which had many people in there. He stood there surprised for a bit to see many people of colors and apparently size! Then again, he was Hugo's partner for quite some time before quitting to continue on his journey.

"Uh..Hello!" he said in a friendly tone as he sat his bag down and announced his presence in the room. "I'm looking for the..." he darted off for a bit before taking out the letter and reading the sender. "Hostess of this place? Apparently this may be a place so I may be able to train myself in so I was hoping that I might be able to see this person before asking some questions about this mansion," he asked the other people in the room, hopefully giving him an informative answer. Ryu's stomach growled again and he rubbed the back of his head in a bit of embarrassment.

"Also, you guys know if there is any food around I can cook? Kyle told me before he left that there may be something I can eat here?"

Celestia "Celeste" Ludenberg
Location: Bar

Celestia sat at the poker table, taking a deck of cards as she was shuffling them around. She could really go for a good game right now, something to take her mind off of all the craziness that is going on around here. But with everyone except Fukawa and Tao downstairs, she didn't think that anyone would come up here to this room at all. But Celestia was quite surprised as the man in the suit came walking into the room and over the bar, thinking that it is quite ironic that the person she wanted to play with ends up in here. She heard as he said that young people shouldn't be let into a bar, annoyed but then listened when he told her that it was stupid, now talking about drinking.

While she did gamble with men that drank, the only alcoholic beverage she would have is wine, red being her favorite for its rich color and flavor despite being far under the legal drinking age. Then she listened as he asked if she wanted a bite of something light and that he would join her for a couple of games, smiling. How perfect for her. "I've been in a few bars myself and thank you, though red wine is more of my taste. Yes, I am wanting to play very much since I haven't in such a long time. But I must warn you, where I am from, I am the ultimate gambler and I've never lost so no trying to go easy on me." Celestia had then said back to the man, nodding as she gave a genuine smile. She was shuffling the deck like a pro as she watched him, the ring on her finger noticeable as she then was remembering something. "By the way, I am Celestia Ludenberg. But you may call me Celeste. What is your name?" she then said back to him, not wanting him to call her Drills again, curious about him as well. He must be a foreigner with those looks and how he acts, wondering where he came from. It would be nice to have a talk with someone that is actually mature at least, even if he might be a little rude.

"Head scientist of Sector 7"

User ImageAmong the calming chaos and now the rising mystery of just where he was and what was going on, Tager would find a small glimmer of hope from a familiar voice. Perhaps not the most friendly individual, but for Tager, she was his superior and creator, and she did have her moments. In an unknown world though with no answers, hearing from such a bright mind was probably the biggest relief the cyborg could ask for, as his radio buzzed with her voice.

"Ta...r? ...ger! ......spond! Damni........you hear......? ........ignal....... old on."

...And not just her voice, but a massive amount of static, making her nearly impossible to hear. Little bits of her words went through, the half breed woman sounding like her usual stressed and annoyed self, but with a hint of panic. She must have found out that Tager was not back at Sector 7, or in his case, his signal was gone off the radar completely. She could only hope he heard her voice though to get a status update and found out just what the Hell was going on!

"..........atus upd......... ......are you? ............ ager!"

It was no good though, impossible to make out what she was saying, and there may have been a chance that she couldn't hear Tager at all either. Still... it was better than nothing and he at least knew she was okay, right?

[Where? Host Person's Room! ] [With? Host Person! ]

Sitting eagerly outside, Tao's tail swished faster and faster as she waited for a response. She knew the Host Person was inside, and she sure wasn't going to give up on an opportunity to get some food out of them~ Tao may not have been the smartest person in the building, but she knew that the letter had promised food, and if this Host Person was the one who had sent the letter to her, then obviously the Host Person was the one who had to feed her! Completely forgetting about the Drill Lady - who had rather sensibly opted to take her leave from the hyperactive catgirl - Tao's attention was focused entirely on the door, just waiting for it to open, even if just a little. After all, Tao wasn't going to just break into someone's room, buuut if they opened the door to her, well, that was another thing altogether, right~?

The moment the door opened, even if just slightly, as the Host Person peered out with a shaky, trembling voice, was the moment that Tao would make her move. The kaka's eyes lighting up as the toothy grin across her face somehow grew even bigger, and she let out an excited giggle, launching herself straight at the Host Person... Or rather, at the door, which she knew the Host Person was behind~ Leaping from the ground and throwing herself straight forwards, Tao would pounce at the door, pushing it open as she leaped into the room. In doing so, she'd collide with the Host Person, knocking them to the ground, straddling on top of her as she looked down at her with those red, glowing eyes and her sinister, fanged grin. Though she didn't mean to, she was probably scaring the Host Person even more out of her wits, but to Tao, it was all just part of one big game - one which would end with her getting fed!

"Nyahaha, I gotcha, Host Person! No more running from Tao!" The catgirl proclaimed as she loomed over Host Person a little, inching closer as though she had some sinister intentions in mind; and given her appearance, it would probably be quite understandable for the Host Person to think that she had some evil plans for her. As their faces inched closer, though, Tao would suddenly pull back, and instead hold up the letter that she'd been carrying, not so much showing her as practically shoving it right in her face. Though it was definately one of the invitations, it certainly looked a lot different to most of the others - if only because it was mostly pictures of food rather than having words, with the word 'Free!' repeated more than a few times. "Tao caught you, Host Person, and Tao has a letter-thing~ That means you have to feed me, meow~" Her words were said with such confidence, like she knew that was how the rules of this place worked - even if they didn't - Tao's tail swished back and forth with excitement over the idea of getting fed, completely oblivious over how much she might've been traumatizing the Host Person in the process.

As the rest of the 'guests' made their introductions, Tager made sure to make a note of their names, making sure to file them away in his database for later reference. He doubted that, in the grand scheme of things, it would become too essential to maintain such records, but for the time being, he needed all the information he could get; especially if it turned out that, somehow, they were all from different worlds. Unlikely as it may have seemed as a possibility, the fact that it was within the realm of possibility meant it was at least worth considering it as such. After all, if Hakumen's sword was capable of cutting time, then it wasn't too outrateous to consider travelling to different worlds or dimensions, right?

So it was that Tager mentally jotted down the names of the others that he'd yet to be introduced to - Hakurei Reimu, Ranma Saotome, Fai D. Flourite, and of course he was already familiar with Sousuke after he'd introduced himself to Touko earlier. With introductions made, it seemed like they were at something of an impasse, none of them knowing just what they should do now; doubly so now that their host had left them alone with each other. As another man approached, wearing what Tager could only assume was some sort of martial arts uniform, asking about the hostess and inquiring about food, Tager was one frame away from opening his mouth to reply, when his chain of thought was broken by a sudden burst of static from his communicator.

Caught off guard, it took Tager a moment to produce the communicator from the zipper on his shirt, carefully holding the tiny, human-sized device between two fingers. He'd turn away from the group, taking a step away out of courtesy so as not to talk over them - though if anyone did feel the urge to eavesdrop on what little conversation he was able to have, it wouldn't be hard to listen in. Though it required at least a little bit of careful precision on his part to hold it without breaking it, he'd long since gotten the hang of the fine manipulation required to do so. Not frying it with his electromagnetism was another thing altogether; but it seemed that it was working, for now at least.

There was no mistaking the voice buzzing through the radio, even if it was breaking up with static; it was Kokonoe! To Tager, that said one of two things - either the whole theory about them all being from other worlds was false, or Kokonoe was simply that talented with her technology that somehow time and space were merely interference to her communicators. While the former seemed the more likely, Tager knew better than to doubt Kokonoe. "Kokonoe, I hear you! There's a lot of interference, but you're coming through, just about..." Raising his voice a little, mostly out of an attempt to hopefully make himself heard over the static that he could only assume she was experiencing as well.

As the signal seemed to deteriorate even further, Tager was barely even able to make her words out. He thought she was asking where he was, but even he didn't know - and that might not even have been what she was asking, all the static and interference just made it impossible to hold a conversation. "Kokonoe! The signal's getting worse, I'll report in as soon as I can find a spot without this interference!" Raising his voice again, just attempting to make himself heard to her, even though he knew deep down that it wouldn't help that much if the connection was as bad for her as it was for him. Knowing that trying to compete with such interference was only going to irritate the both of them, Tager decided to cut the signal off of now. Lowering his voice even below his normal volume, knowing he probably wasn't being heard anyway, he added a few more words before he'd cut it off, feeling bad about having to cut her off like this when she'd been the one to contact him. "I'm... Sorry. I'll try to contact you again as soon as I can."

Heaving a small sigh, shaking his head softly as he lowered the communicator from his ear, Tager felt a sense of relief, but also of disappointment. At least he knew they could get back in contact; he'd just have to try to find a spot where the signal was better... If there even was such a spot around here. Still, even with his back to the others, the disappointment of having Kokonoe contact him, only to have to break it again without even knowing if the other heard each other was obvious, as his giant's shoulders slumped just a little as he slipped the communicator back into his shirt. He'd have to make sure that, next time he called her - or she called him - he'd have a report ready. He still needed to work out just where he was, that was the most important thing.

"The unwilling host of the mansion"

User ImageDoing everything she could to keep herself from just slamming the door shut again, Fukawa tried her best to brave through this, the door opened just slightly as she peered through. Her body was shaking, her voice quivered, and the site of those red eyes and fanged grin just all screamed at Fukawa to close the door and lock it. But against her judgment and trying not to forget her responsibilities in this mansion, the braided and bespectacled, school clad girl would remained, trying her best even if it just meant opening the door. For her, it was an impossibly hard task to simply invite someone into her room, not only because she didn't like people seeing it, but she just didn't like being around them in general. And this... this 'Tao' thing, was it even a person at all!?

Fukawa wasn't sure of what to say, but she had asked about the letter anyway, only to see those red eyes light up with a sense of joy, ...or was it killing intent? She couldn't even tell, but it came too fast and sudden for Fukawa to do anything against it. Before she knew it, the catgirl leapt at her, bursting through the door, and pounced on the poor girl. "EYAAAAH!!" With a girlish, high pitched scream of fright, her voice echoed through the second floor halls from her room, instantly fearing the worst as she was knocked down with ease. Fukawa's body was light and boney, her thin form pinned under the cat-girl who was also surprisingly light, but despite that, she didn't have any way of breaking her fall, and fell rather hard against the carpet floor, a little dazed from hitting her head too, glasses going loose and crooked. Her hands quickly shot to her face to try and hide it, turning sideways as her lips quivered, legs kicking around pathetically as she was unable to break away. "Pl-Please don't eat me!!" She cried out, cringing her eyes shut when she saw Taw's face looming closer, fearing the worst. Her only hope of defending herself -as much as she hated resorting to this- was to set Genocider free, but she couldn't even do that from this position, and was about ready to accept her fate. "I-I taste awful!" She would continue to try and struggle free, wiggling her hips, kicking her feet, and trying to pry her arms out, unable to get up from the ground with Taokaka straddled over her. If anyone walked in, the position probably would have looked a little suggestive, but for Fukawa, all she saw was her approaching death.

Here it comes!

.....Wait, the letter?

Rather than feeling her throat get torn open, or those fanged teeth sink into her, there was just words being spoken from the catgirl, and slowly she opened one eye, her vision a little blurry with her glasses crooked, but her hands pinned and making it impossible to fix that. She was terrified right now, those red eyes and that smile only making her think more of monobear which only brought deeper stress to the girl. She was in a cold sweat, feeling her heart race, unaware of just how pure and innocent Taokaka's intentions really were, even after she explained them. "F..Feed.. you?" She said quietly in disbelief, her breathing rather heavy now with her chest rising and falling rapidly, hands trembling but no longer struggling as much. She nearly had a heart attack just now and was trying to collect herself enough to realize what was going on, but the poor girl was in such a state of shock that this all left her having trouble wrapping her head around it all. "Y-You mean you're... you're not g-going to eat me..?" The frightened girl would then ask as her gray eyes briefly fixed on those red eyes of Taokaka's. Just seeing those sent another chill down her spine, but it was hard -not- to look into them, as the girl was still prone and pinned, trying to understand the situation and finally identifying that she had a letter. ...Even if calling it a letter was a rather loose description of it at this point.

Kyle would nod his head at the young girl as he would return one of the old-fashioned glasses and take out a wine flute glass. He would the select a decent dry red. "Don't you worry about that. I'm Mr Lose-it-all, so if I gave it anything less than my best I'd end up losing twice the amount." Hyde would mention as he picked up the glasses after putting the bottles away. He would carry them over to the table and set them down in the designated drinks area, then walk back to the bar, get two glasses of water and a bowl of cashews.. cause c'mon. You can't drink something dark and amber like bourbon and not toss a few cashews back. Having everything set up, Hyde would sit down in a chair across from her.

Taking a sip of the bourbon, he would close his eyes a moment and savor that burn at the back of his throat. He would give a nod and open his eyes to look at the young card shark. Taking in the way she handled the cards like a pro, the strange, gothic ring on her finger. Her uniform would catch some interest too. "Well Celeste, the names Kyle Hyde. I'm just some guy from America who got suckered by an invitation to this place and am now stuck thanks to the guys from outback accidentally causing a dud rocket one of 'em shot to fly into the engine of my car and total it." He would explain to her. He seemed a bit upset bu that still as he gave a sour look. "Who brings a rocket launcher to a mansion anyway?" He would muse as he looked back to the ring and then up to Celeste's face.

Hyde would take a moment to size her up. "So any rules in particular to this game, or we going straight up five card?" Was his question to her as he ran a thumb along the felt on the table. It felt nicer than the ones he was used to in America. It was of course because of its recent make and better materials, but he had no way of knowing that. Now might be a good time to broach the subject about her relationship to their host. "So, you seem to be familiar with Touko. You two know each other from the past?" He would decide to test the waters with the question. If she was forthcoming with information, fine. If she just gave a short answer, this would be a harder nut to crack. But first order of business, find out about their hostess so he could get her to spill the beans about what she knows of this place.

Reimu gave a polite nod at the blonde introducing himself as Fai and glanced at the sniper. His name was Sousuke Sagara, but from the way he said it, he was oddly suspicious. Reimu would keep an eye on him for now, so if he did anything fishy again.. "Rei... you mentioned where you came from when you and I first met, right?" Ranma asked. "Where was it again?"

The shrine maiden tilted her head and let her amulets dissipate in the air. "Ah, Gensokyo. It's a lot more oriental and old-fashioned than this mansion, but we get around it. Why?" she answered, raising question to her inquiry. If she remembered correctly, Ranma belonged to a world that wasn't named Gensokyo. Likely, the others would be from different worlds too, but.. why? Wouldn't it be less of a hassle if the owner invited people of the same world? What were the owner's reasons..?

That made the shrine maiden rub her chin in thought until she heard a few yells from Tager. She turned her head and saw the once calm and well-composed giant with a disconcerting expression. "You okay there? Who contacted you?" Reimu asked. From the strange device he held, there was a faint, female voice, but the static overwhelmed the device with noise, soon cutting off the connection. Reimu didn't have a knack of experience with technology, but she reckoned the woman came from Tager's original world.. wherever it was.
