Kai looked at Nizar as he flipped between emotions like a lite flickering in a broken bathroom. He remained silent though, simply watching the creature with mild interest adding things to the file he had started. He was pulled from Nizar as the woman returned from the office carrying a new stack of papers. She gave Gavin, who was standing behind Kai, a wary look. Kai took the papers as they were handed to him and flipped through them like before. He grabbed the pen again and signed them swiftly slipping a check into the clip board with the full price for both his slaves. He handed the clip board back to the woman and waited for her to untie Nizar from the wall, giving a swift tug as if she was trying to pull him off the shelf, and hand him to strip of leather. She also handed him the copy’s of the papers and a shock collar and a leash for Gavin in case he wanted them. Kai refused the collar and leash and placed the papers in his bag not offering a single word to the woman.

Thank you for your business. We hope to see you again soon.” The woman said with a smile. She could tell that Kai wasn’t much one for words so she kept quiet to avoid upsetting the customer when normally she was talkative. Kai turned around to see Gavin, a little surprised that he had stepped out of the cage willingly, he thought he may have to carry the cage out with the griffon in it.

Come. We have much to discuss.” Kai said dully before stepping past the male, dwarfing him, and heading for the exit. He didn’t look back to see if the griffon was following him as he stepped out into the sun. He had started late and time was swiftly running low, he would have to hurry. A digital clock opened up in Kai’s HUD displaying the military time. A second window opened up blocking half of his vision making the others close out so he could still see the area around him. He accessed the internet wirelessly bringing up a map of the entire city. He opened up a second tab bringing up a listing of available apartments removing those that were not in optimal positions. Then he removed those that were too small, and last he removed those with poor quality. There were only a few left so Kai saved the addresses and the map of the city to his memory and closed the windows.

Are either of you hungry? If so, what food do you like?” Kai asked beginning to walk again heading into the lot provided for parking. He pulled from his bag a set of keys and pointed them at a black Ferrari. It was detailed with silver lining around all the doors, the hood, and even the lights. The car beeped signaling that the alarm had been turned off and the doors unlocked. Kai walked around to the driver’s side and looked across to make sure Gavin was still there since the only reason he had to follow was the papers in his bag.

Yiska was frustrated. He did not understand Suiren. He wanted to, but he did not appreciate being ignored. Though she did not hurt Ivory, she was definitely the dominate female in the household. She had a larger than life personality, naturally larger, elegant, noble and a lot of pride. Men would try and break that pride, he was not like men in the human society. He was far from human.

Sighing he went and sat on the couch. Ivory’s pride as dominate female was hurt, and she was just as stubborn if not more stubborn than Suiren. There was probably going to be more cat fights in his home. He just did not understand women. Though he figured if a man truly understood a woman’s thoughts he would not be a man, he would be far to feminine and feminine he was not.

Leaning his head against the back he felt something land in his lap and he opened one eye to see Ebony sprawled out in his lap.

‘Can you deal with another woman in the house?” Yiska asked fingers coming down to stroke the soft cat.

The male narrowed his eyes and snorted.

Yiska grinned a purely masculine smile, mischief alight in his eyes.

‘You just ignore the drama, completely apathetic to it.” The man complimented.

The cat purred turning his head to rub his cheek against his waiting fingers.

‘Your just a suck.” Yiska commented. Ivory left to sulk under the massive bay window.

Ebony flicked his ears and nuzzled Yiska’s hands again.

Yiska closed his eyes. Now he and Suiren would have to go shopping and buy her all the things a beautiful woman would need.

Jack shifted forms, her white-silver hair spilling down her back elegantly. Her ice blue hues settled on Jay and she walked around him. She was taking the man in, if Mila liked him than there was nothing to worry about. Mila was the perfect judge of character and she took to Jay almost immediately.

Ahote followed Jack’s movements with his eyes. Jack was the critical older twin. The one who was more sensible than naive.

Mila shifted and pounced the half breed wrapping strong arms around his neck. Her whole body pressed against his as she purred and rubbed her cheek against his. Scenting him, making him hers.

Ahote chuckled it was a purely innocent laugh, devoid of all his innocence.

‘Mila is quite possessive. She only marks those like that she truly likes.”

Jack growled at her younger sister her ears and tail lowering.

Mila looked back at her sister and grinned nuzzling Jay again.

The older of the two stomped off and immediately Mila let her go to chase after her sister.

Ahote shook his head. ‘Sorry about that, those two are like night and day.” He said offering his hand.

Jack had been like Mila when Elijah first brought Ahote home.

‘Lets go inside and get you settled, then we can decide what you need and go from there.”

User ImageXander chuckled. ‘I am hungry.” he said gently, his stomach rumbling in anticipation.

His mouth nearly watered as he stepped into the dining room. There was a roasted chicken sitting in the middle of the table, the golden skin a glow by all the candles that adorned the table. Around the chicken homemade stuffing decorated each side. Vegetables of all kinds were in separate bowls and the garlic whipped mashed potatoes nearly sang out to the starved young wolf.

Xander actually had to wipe his mouth as he felt saliva begin to gather around his open mouth. The scents of the meal had his tail wagging. He stepped forwards and looked toward n**.

‘This looks….to good to be true.”

The wolf demon did not move until he was told to come and sit.

User ImageBlue stayed in the bathroom, the steam lingered around her small frame. She could hear the tearing of flesh, she could already smell the decay of the body. Harvest did not know she was here. He had been following and tracking Quinn. Harvest, who was named Harvest because he ‘harvested organs.” He was one of Gideon’s most prized fighters, a charitable demon willing to give anyone watching a good show. Blue had always wanted a chance to tear his head off. Even when she and Gideon were on good terms, she did not like the fire demon. Blue would fight in the arena’s with one of his fighters, that way they were guaranteed a good fight, a win and the money.

Gideon was not a fool. He would know the small assassins handy-work the minute he got the head. But he had other issues to work threw, Blue did not know how he would react. Maybe Blue would be an easier target working with Quinn. He could keep an eye on them both, kill two birds with one stone. Maybe he would not care at all. It did not matter much, she could handle it one way or another. It was just a matter of time.

The wolf-girl sighed and headed toward the bathroom door leaning against it’s frame. Still irritated, still tired, still angry, the female carried herself with an emotionless mask. Her cerulean blue hues were calm, cool, blank. She watched him as he worked whatever magic it was and stayed quiet. She did not have much to say to the slaver.

She was indifferent.

Her eyes settled on the body and she turned her head slightly. Gideon would flip his s**t if he could see Harvest. Gideon was possessive. His slaves, his friends, his enemies. If it was his no one else could have it. After his precious sex slave escaped, something snapped in Gideon. The normally well controlled man became more violent than ever. He was bad but he lost it after and any little thing could change his mood.

Blue then let her eyes settle on Quinn. He was not an everyday were-cat. He was the strangest thing Blue had ever come across. Not something she could understand even if she dissected everything inside of him. In fact he could not be more confusing.

She glanced back at the circle.

‘Where did you learn this?” Blue finally asked.

Blue understood that Alchemy Arabic:al-kimia, Hebrew:אלכימיה al-khimia is both a philosophy and a practice with an aim of achieving ultimate wisdom as well as immortality, involving the improvement of the alchemist as well as the making of several substances described as possessing unusual properties. The practical aspect of alchemy generated the basics of modern inorganic chemistry, namely concerning procedures, equipment and the identification and use of many current substances.

The fundamental ideas of alchemy arose or are said to have arisen in the ancient Persian Empire.Alchemy has been practiced in Mesopotamia comprising much of today's Iraq, Egypt, Persia today's Iran, India, China, Japan, Korea and in Classical Greece and Rome, in the Muslim civilizations, and then in Europe up to the 20th century, in a complex network of schools and philosophical systems spanning at least 2500 years.

But this seemed like a mix of alchemy and sorcery, or something else.

Stepping out from the bathroom she walked around the magic circle to sit leisurely on her bed. Tails curled into her lap as she slipped her fingers into the fur to stoke the feather soft tails.

"The Perfect Mix"

Gavin didn't utter a word, not even to the little fluff ball that was going to be his new little slavemate. If they'd met under different circumstances, Gavin could see his playful side and the white fox thing getting along just fine, running around and getting into trouble and whatnot. But at this point, Gavin wanted very little if anything from anyone.

His hand moved out and without asking or waiting, opened the door, sliding into the back seat, his mind telling him thats where his kind belonged. Where no one would see him unless they wanted to. He'd be quiet, he'd be good. He didn't want to give anyone trouble, not when a plan was already forming in his mind. They wouldn't take Jay away from him... Not even Jay would stop this. Not when Gavin knew that his fallen angel had only spoken so because of the situation. If they had been free...This wouldn't have ever happened...

If they ha been free..

Hey All, just wanted to let you guys know...

I'm going to be taking a hiatus from gaia for I am not exactly sure how long. I know this will be an inconvenience to most of you, and I apologize for that. However, some of you may or may not know that I had pneumonia and was just recovering from that. I missed quite a bit of school, and not only had to make up for that (one of the most busiest weeks in terms of schoolwork) but teachers also piled on a lot more work in addition. I started getting to sleep at 1AM and getting up at around 6 to get ready, and since I was still recovering, my health suffered. I think it's unfair that any of you have to wait for me for that, so while I catch up, rest up, etc. I won't be going on to gaia at all.

This hiatus may turn into leaving gaia permanently. I've been taking on a lot of things outside of school, and judging from how school has been so far, I doubt that the workload will get much lighter. I love gaia, and the people who have supported me throughout my stay here, but this time, I think I actually might leave. The main reasons I come to gaia are
1. friends
2. rping
But lately, I feel that friends have been busy. I'm not trying to whine and say "oh boo hoo, my friends don't care about me" because I know they do. I know they are busy too, and don't have time to comment on every particular of my life. I don't want that for them, or for me. But recently, when I've been through some tough times, only about one or two people have even commented on it.
Not only this, I feel like my rping hasn't advanced, and has rather taken the downward spiral route. Maybe its because of this that some people don't bother to give me their best effort in rping and decide to post one liners and such. I understand that people are busy, but with the level we are rping at, I feel that anyone can do better than one line. Especially when I've seen the person give amazing posts for other people, I can only feel that they are directly bashing on either me or my rping. I've also felt that most of the time, my characters don't even matter to the plot and can just leave. Some of my friends told me I should just jump in to the rp and don't worry so much, but with my life being so hectic right now, I don't want to have to worry about rping. Rping is supposed to be my stress relief, my quality time with friends to do something amazing. If rping becomes stressful, and I start to worry about things like, "What if my rping isn't going forward?" "What if people don't like it and that's why they are rping in ___ way with my characters?" I think that's an indicator to leave.. Because really, taking away the two things that actually matter to me on gaia just leaves no reason to stay, especially when I know that coming on to gaia is taking away time that I could be using elsewhere. I don't want to make gaia a waste of time for me, because I know that gaia can actually enrich my life, and be a stress reliever.

In any event, (sorry for the long rant?) just wanted to give everyone a heads up about my hiatus and possible leaving gaia. I once again apologize for who this may inconvenience. I don't expect anyone to wait for me, and in fact, feel free to demote me in guilds as you see fit, or delete my characters from an rp. ((special note for luna and guild mods of Kurotsuki: I'd appreciate it though if you didn't delete my character thread^^ I think that's the only place I have those specific characters. Or at least let me know, so I can put them on a word file for possible later use. Thanks.))

Thanks for reading till the end!

”Why should I tell you more about myself if you won't give me the courtesy of your name? If you “don't exist” your name shouldn't have any ties anywhere your enemies could get to. But, you did pull me out of the way of this beast, and gave me great material to create a new weapon, so I suppose I could tell you.” Quinn went to the edge of the circle and knelt down placing his hands on the very edge of the circle. ”This is an old family technique passed down through the main family branch. So, sit back and watch,”

Quinn's whole body tensed sending veins springing to the surface. His face showed, not concentration, not strain, but anger. Being a were anger seemed to be the only emotion he could use to bring forward what magic he did possess. A greenish black aura drifted off Quinn like smoke before it seemed to be sucked into the spell circle. The more energy Quinn fed to the circle the brighter it got. Once enough energy was infused into the circle the circle's spell took affect.

The flesh of the beast ripped apart as tendrils of light struck the body. This continued until the body was nothing but particles floating just above the circle's lines and runes. Quinn took his hands off the circle and the circle shrunk to roughly four foot by it's diameter. The particles of the beast collected in midair taking the shape of a sword roughly four feet long and with multiple sections. Quinn snatched the blade out of the air just as the circle faded.

”This is one of our more famous styles of sword. It's very unique in it's construction. Let me show you,” he said taking a stance and gripping the hilt with both hands. He took a simple swing with expert efficiency and some power. The sections of the blade split apart as he started his swing causing the blade to extend it's reach a good foot or so before snapping back together as he finished his swing. He smiled satisfied that the blade turned out as well as it did and fed a little bit of his energy into the blade like he had the spell circle. The very edge of the blade seemed to heat up glowing a slight red. He then took several more swings leaving smoke trails.

”So, impressed?” he asked with a satisfied smirk. ”Oh, that's right I never told you where I learned this. Well, like I told you before, this is an old family craft. The technique is a mix of Alchemy, the deconstruction and then reconstruction of physical matter not potion making, and Necromancy, but I won't reveal any details. It is a difficult craft to learn and took a number of family deaths to perfect. Also, take refuge in the fact that not many outside of the family wield one of our weapons and fewer still see the craft first hand.”

Nizar was giddy with excitement as the transaction was completed between the metal man and the annoying woman. He didn't even mind that the woman had tried to pull him off the shelf. He worked his way onto Kai's shoulder and perched himself there. He looked around from his new point of view even stealing a glance or two at Gavin but figuring the griffin would rather be alone right now than talking to someone, and pissing off a griffin was something you just knew you didn't do. It was like the phrase, “never tickle a sleeping dragon.” It was good advice no matter who you were.

Nizar was thrilled to see the car Kai headed too. It was fancy looking and much nicer than some of the other cars within eye sight. More important than the car were the people he could now watch walking to and fro, traveling up and down the streets in cars and on motorcycles. Everything was interesting, and Nizar wanted to experience everything and learn everything about everybody, but he knew it was better to take the once in a life time experiences first and go for the common ones when you had time. This trip in the car, the robot that didn't act like a robot all the time, and the slave griffin were unique experiences, he would record all their stories if he could.

”Food? Don't care, don't care! Lets go! Lets go! Lets go!” he said bouncing excitedly up and down on Kai's shoulder with every sentence, eventually bouncing on Kai's head before laying down, propping his head up with his front paws, and swaying his tail happily back and forth. ”Are you all robot or just part? I think it's just part. Hey! Have you ever played the piano? I saw a robot with finger paying one but it was nowhere as smooth as you. All wires and beams that one was. Oh! I'm hungry now! Can we get seafood? I love fish!”

User ImageChildishness. Pure, instinctual childishness. Ren couldn't help being jealous or acting on instincts. She had never learned from kind elders. As soon as she had hit maturity she was held captive by men, enslaved because of her beauty and race. Her knowledge was limited, and she had never really “grown up”. At heart she was still a child, naive and scared, using her instincts to guide many of her decisions instead of her brain. She simply did not know any better, though she knew she was often childish, cold and apathetic. It was hard to be something other than what you were shown. Behaviour was one part genetics and one part learned. She could only make it so far on her own with genetics and instincts. The rest was what the world had shown her.

Having everything taken away from her time and time again, she needed to fight for a place in this new home. If she didn't fight, she wouldn't have anything. That was how she looked at things and she held a lot of pride along with this belief. Pride was the only thing they couldn't fully take from her.

Neither could they fully take her innocence or warm heart (which was hard to see from first glance; she really did have one deep down) away.

After getting dressed, the clothes a little big on her, black hair falling into her eyes, she came back into the den quietly and cautiously, keeping her eyes on the floor. Suiren knew what she had done was inappropriate. At least the way she had been treating Yiska. The other female cat was not something she cared for; not yet. Getting down on her knees a few feet away she bowed her head and crawled the rest of the way to him, note pad sticking out of the back pocket. Other masters had made her apologize like this. She couldn't beg, verbally, for forgiveness, so she had to get down on her knees.

Ren was not apologizing for how she acted towards the female cat. She would not admit to fault there. But after the way Yiska had treated her, she felt she needed to give him some respect. Ignoring him hadn't been right.

Looking up at him, she put her hands on his knees and waited. Some masters would hit her, others would ignore her. She wanted to know what Yiska would do. She wanted to know if she could trust him.
Kai opened the door to his car and slipped down into the seat with ease. He took Nizar’s leash and fixed it onto the buckle of the passenger seat, wondering why Gavin had taken the smaller area in the back. Deeming the most probable to the status difference they had Kai resigned the matter to unimportant. When he was done tying Nizar down Kai placed the key into the ignition and started the car.

Seafood it is then.” Kai said in his dull tone, trying as best he could to spark some sort of conversation. He knew little about the two in his car despite just purchasing both of them. Their history, affiliations, why they were at the emporium and a lot more was a mystery to him. If he could get them talking then it would be a simple task to get information. He revved the engine a few times before maneuvering out of the parking lot to get onto the street. He used the map he had saved to locate the nearest eatery that served fish and drove along the quickest route to the flow of traffic.

I have played the piano before. It was difficult getting used to just how to perform, but now I can do it with ease. Just where did you see this piano playing robot?” Kai commented. He worked his words to hint at developing a skill, aiming to throw the creature off the thought of him being a robot. He hoped it would work, after all, robots didn’t learn through doing but through programming while turned off.

Blue was a little taken back by Quinn’s quip. It really bugged him that Blue had given him her code name, her assassins name. But Blue had been giving people that name for almost as long as she was alive. It was almost like her real name. The small female leaned forward resting her elbow on her knee her hair falling past her shoulders. Her tails swaying from side to side with slight annoyance. Blue really did not like giving her name out. It was like an invasion of privacy. But she let out a soft sigh and closed her eyes.

‘My name is Luna.” she answered. The name sounded strange even to her. Blue had not said those words in a very long time and it sounded like a strangers name. It was the name that her mother, Lune Eclipse Ookami gave to her. Blue liked her real name, she always had, but she did not like strangers hearing her real name. Back in her time, her real name could be used against her, because her family was so well known back in the Edo period. For a long time her family was a target of hate and so Luna used Blue, another name given to her by her father Fenrir. He said her eyes were his inspiration.

Her crescent moon was visible through her bangs as she rest her chin in her open palm. ‘I told you my father was the reincarnation of the Norse god Fenrir, my mother and our bloodline was beloved by the moon. Blessed by the moon.” Blue paused. “My mother had silver hair, the color of Artemis, the moon goddess, as did all of my brothers. Half brothers.” Blue answered him. ‘I have my fathers features.”

The small wolf-girl shrugged her shoulders in that gallant motion that could mean everything and anything.

The assassin’s ears moved forward flicking slightly. ‘I don’t like giving out my true name, there maybe those still alive from the past who might recognize it. Many cannot tie me to my family, except for the crescent moon upon my head, and the markings on my back.” That was the most she’d said about herself in decades.

Blue listened to him speaking and she nodded when he spoke to her about the blade. ‘It is something I have never seen before.” she said calmly. ‘I am impressed.” she answered. It did not show, because Blue was an expert at hiding her emotions, but she was impressed by the alchemy/necromancy.

***

Yiska chuckled as she bowed in front of him. He reached out and settled a hand onto her head just between her ears. He gently stroked her head and smiled stifling his laughter. ‘It’s okay Suiren.” he answered her. ‘You have nothing to apologize for.”

The man gently stroked her head and released her by standing and drawing back his hand.

‘We should get you some things for yourself Suiren, things you will need later on. Those clothes are to big for you, things that fit you better would be more comfortable. And maybe we can grab something to eat afterwards, I can guess you are hungry.”

He glanced at Ivory who was glaring at him now. He offered her his hand knowing full well she would not take it. But he’d keep trying anyways. She was stubborn, but he could understand that.

Ebony rubbed against Suiren’s side as he was walking past. He was purring gently as his tail flicked. It was his way of welcoming her into their home.

User ImageRen flinched when he raised his hand (though it was slight). She prepared herself to be hit, closing her eyes tight, ears lowered as far as they would go. It was evident what she thought Yiska was going to do. Yiska did the complete opposite of what she had expected as he had done before, making her feel a little dumb for fearing that he would hit her. When his hand rested gently against her head, she relaxed under his touch. It was almost as if she had melted under his hand. Affection. True affection, which she had not received in such a long time.

A small smile formed on her lips. She couldn't help herself. If she could purr, she might have done that, too.

More brownie points for Yiska.
Ren thought to herself. And to the other cat. She concluded, feeling the male brush up against her as he passed by. It amused her to see the male cat welcoming her. He must have been more submissive than the female. Or perhaps he was like Yiska in some small way. Ren didn't know; she didn't usually talk to domestic cats.

Being patted and trusting were two different things. She had to remind herself that anyone could give her affection, just to win her over. Yet, though she hesitated, she still took his hand.

Her cheeks flared colours of pink and red, her hair turning white as she looked at him. Frowning, she took her hand back once she was standing and looked away.

”Luna,” Quinn repeated to himself after Blue had finished talking, ”It suits you.” He didn't sound too thrilled, but inwardly he was relieved that she was showing at least some trust. He felt he should give some information about the art she commented on and repay her for revealing her name.

"It is a family art passed down through the pure blood of my family and developed through generations. It's origins started in Egypt during the time of the pharaohs. Back then the dieties Bast and Mafdet were popular and cats in general were treated with high respect, Egyptians were even killed if they accidently killed a cat. The art you just witnessed had it's origins beginning with my ancestors curiosity in mummification, which intails that this art is a little over five thousand years old." Quinn finished his backstory and started returning things to the way they were before he started clearing room. One thing his parents taught him was to clean up his messes, not that cats weren't natural clean freaks to start with. "It is very dangerous and is only possible with precise measurments. Many in my family still die from relatively minor mistakes. But, that is enough of that. We still haven't eaten yet which is the reason for our outing. Perhaps we should get going?"

"The Perfect Mix"

Depression wasn't Gavins strongest suit. His face lifted up from where he'd been staring at the back of the metal mans seat, so intensly that it seemed as if he wished it to burst into flames. Instead, it remained heavily intact and Gavin's mind shoved at sad thoughts at the mention of food. Gavin prefered meat in one form, veggies in the other, leaving him an omnivore. But a very picky one. Fish, was..well, doable, but not a favorite.

He liked steak, ribs, pork, turkey, chicken. Anything that had real meat and had a pulse at one point. Fish just seemed like...short and fat snakes that lived in water too long. The thought made him shiver slightly from the back seat.

He spoke softly, his voice still that of a young boy, forced by his human form. "I can eat fish..." He didn't comment on the robot piano playing, he didn't care. He just wanted out of small cramped spaces. He'd been in a cage for the longest of times, and this car didn't seem much better. It'd be nice to be out, streching, moving, and not cramping.
