Welcome to Gaia! ::

Dragon
Dragon had heard enough. Travesty had actually conceded her upper hand was a lie, and that they would die together this night. She didn't actually believe that he was willing to take this to the wall. Very well, then. "Tally ho," he murmured. "SO BE IT, GODMOTHER! MY HEART'S FIRE, I BID YOU BE MY ARMOR, MY WEAPON!" he screamed, making his throat ache more. At his call, the shell around his heart reformed around him, forming a flaming breastplate, and in his hand, a blade of condensed fire.

"Sever the bound ties
Lest you fall prey to my heart
and sleep forever," he recited quietly. Then Dragon's wings became engulfed in the fire and his fiery breastplate became a full suit of burning armor. He rose, leaving the thick pillars of red and blue magics below him, and hovered, flames still burning bright. Leveling his sword at the threads connecting Travesty to Dani and Kit, now dying slowly within their magical prisons, he charged, sweeping down from the air like an avenging angel, and swung his pyre sword, aiming for the strings connecting the witch to his loved ones.

The pure fire sword cut through the strings, searing away at the magic thread on either end, but his job wasn't done. Dragon beseiged each crystal, swiftly bounding between them, delivering a slash before each landing, then allowing his momentum to send him into a crouch upon the side of the crystal and pushing off again. His scarlet blade did not tire, and nor did he, until the final strike upon Kit's crystal, whereupon it shattered and she was freed, sprawled upon the ground. He landed on the ground and pushed off toward Dani's crystal to deliver the final blow.
Travesty didn't expect Dragon to be deterred from doing something foolish in this face of adversity and he didn't disappoint. Travesty saw him retaliate and thought nothing much of it. She had him and she knew that he couldn't save both his love and his brother., yet she didn't expect him to use this much power to sever those ties that she had created so rashly. Did he have any clue what he had done?

She reacted as quickly as she could but sadly lost her hold over Kit, yet true to her word she regained control over Dani just as Dragon lunged for his crystal. In a flash, she threw out a hand and her threads quickly wrapped around the cracked crystal and drew it out Dragon's path and towards her. She rose to her feet to embrace the enveloped crystal before shouting, "You should have known better, my little Dray. Now, have his life on your dying continence."

With her words, the threads crushed the crystal sending the shards into Dani then just as abruptly she raised her hand as blasted Dani away who spiraled before landing in a heap a few paces from Sav. She looked back to Dragon whom was now ridiculously garbed in makeshift armor from borrowed power and time. The thread connecting them held fast, never growing taut in all his workings yet the static became more noticeable noting that the power transfer was coming more for her than him … for the moment.

Quite a deceitful thread, one that keeps both sides alive at the expense of their distributed power, the ultimate equalizer. He could kill her… anyone could kill her, but he would come with her none the less. She looked down at the bloody mess that is Dani and noted that she had done what she had come her to do. "You have failed to save everyone this time, my little Drake. How will you atone for this in your last minutes?" She wanted to know if she had broken him yet at the same time knew that she soon would have to end this… in death.

Dani didn't know what happened but it happened so fast that he grew sick in the sensations of it all. He saw his brother emulated in flame but his vision was fading anyway he only noticed the sound of the burning and then the shaking of the crystal and the shouts of his brother. The last thing he remembered hearing was her voice and wishing that the last thing he said to his brother wasn't so scornful. Then the pain was so powerful that darkness enveloped even his continence.

Sav didn't know what he could have done to stop what happened but he wished so as the events unfolded before him. The spheres and Dragon's fury. The connection Thread of Life and Then Dani's falling in a bloody heap at his feet. Sav rushed forward and righting him as best he could setting Dani upon his back on the ground and tore strips off his shirt to staunch the blood flow on some of the bigger wounds: such as the ones on his arm and chest but the situation didn't look good.

Sav looked up to Dragon and shook his head as he spoke. "Dragon, doesn't look good here, I'm not sure how long he'll hold on but… not good at all." he continued to cover wounds but the sheer multitude of them was horrible. He continued to pull out red shards of the crystal as he did so. He was surprised that Dani was even still breathing, shallow at it is, considering what just happened.

Dragon had taken a risk and finally his luck caught up with him. Maybe Travesty was correct, perhaps Dragon would have to suffer the loss of someone due to his decisions. But whether that was true or not, someone would have to do something soon, but there was no way out of this place until Travesty was finished yet at the same time Sav wasn't sure that beyond taking him to another Fae would Dani survive this.

(((I regretfully inform you that I am leaving on a spring vacation trip soon and will not be able to make a post till monday unless I am lucky enough to find some internet connection... sorry about leaving you like this...)))
Before she could scream something about it being such a personal question, Talon bit her tongue. It's about time...About time someone knew.
"Well," she started with a sigh, "he is wanted just as much as me. J-Jeremy and I were... the only two bird kids created after the...prototype, so to speak. They...the scientists, that is...had only us to," She paused, "experiment on," she finished bitterly.
"But one day, Jeremy and I decided to escape. It was the only thing we could ever think of doing for the next few days, and soon we had it all planned out. Once I was taken out of my cage, I would take care of the two whitecoats and sprint to Jeremy's cage. I'd slash his open, and we'd run away together." She sighed. "But...in the end, once we had finally escaped..." she subconsciously trailed off.

Garjen barely managed to dodge the sword, which still managed to chop off a chunk of hair. "Am I going to have to pay you for that?" She smiled, putting up both arms to block the kick, though it still sent her flying. "Oof!" She collided with the almost nonexistent windowsill. "What, no sense of humor?" she managed to get out before she coughed. [[I wonder how far those bubbles are going to go before they pop...?]]
(( No idea what to post with Blake....))
(( Have fun dani!))

Kenta looked at Jei, " Dani.....? Why do you need to know anyways? Besides, I don't have to answer any of your questions." He said as he landed on a building, then jumped farther up to dodge the incoming air. It crashed into the building, and he winced, " Ouch. That would have hurt." He said as he looked up, and saw at that moment the bubbles explode. " Woah!" he exclaimed as the shockwave hit him and easily sent him over the edge of the building. Kenta reached out and grabbed hold of a ledge so he wouldn't fall. " Tsk. Little predicament I got myself into..." he muttered as he looked down at Garjen, then swung his sword and sent another wave at her. " Usually do! Just not right now!" he yelled down at her, then turned back to look at Jei.
((Okay, bad news! I had hoped to make a reply today, but alas it is crunch time for the process of moving, and I won't be around for another five days. Dani's in charge during my absence, and I shan't be gone too long! I shall see you all soon!))
Garjen hurriedly summoned a large shield bubble; however, the wave's arrival shoved it back a good few meters, knocking down a lamp pole before the bubble stopped. It quickly melted around her, and Garjen stepped out, wiping a drip of blood from her mouth, then licking it off her hand. "Y'know, blood really doesn't taste that bad... Wonder why everyone always makes such a big deal about it? Oh, well~" She sped back toward her opponent and flicked a small container on her belt open.

It had all happened too fast for Syn to realize. For a moment, she'd almost been trapped by the Fae's power. But those Titans..her enemies...had saved her? Syn blinked, watching the rest of the battle and trying to make sense of this in her head. She couldn't find a logical reason except for the fact that these guys were just too good. She sighed. Geez. Her yellow eyes saw that the white haired girl had been freed. The boy with the scales was certainly very strong and fast. Unfortunately, that strength didn't seem to be enough. Syn's eyes widened a little when she saw the crystals go into the blonde haired male. Syn blinked, seeing the boy lay there in a bloody mess.

Being the way she was, Syn shouldn't have cared. If one of the Titans died, then so be it. It wasn't like it was her problem. She closed her eyes and put a hand over them, thinking. But, they had saved her from possible injury, and maybe death. What to do, what to do? She'd never been one to help most people, but this was a tough situation. She took her hand away from her eyes. "Dammit all!" she said rather loudly before stomping over to where Dani and Sav were.

She knelt down on the other side of Dani's injured body. Not looking at Sav, small shadows began to form. Wherever Sav took out a shard of a crystal, a small shadow would move to the wound and cover it, putting a small amount of pressure to stop the bleeding. There wasn't much she could do, but she felt like she should help in some way. After all, these people were her ticket home.

Kit fell forward, landing on her hands and knees. She turned her head to look at Dani. Her eyes widened in horror when she saw the dome surrounding Dani shatter. "Dani!" she screamed. Scrambling, Kit stood up and ran over. She stood to the side of Sav. A hand went over her mouth and a fresh set of tears rolled down her cheeks.

She turned her head to look at Travesty. "You b***h!" she screamed. Anger and sadness gripped at Kit's heart. That Fae was pure evil and needed to be stopped. Kit's hands clenched into fists. She wanted so badly to fight that coward of a woman, but she couldn't bring herself to do that. If she did, what would happen to Lance? "You coward!"

Sav noticed that Syn had came over and he was grateful for her help in this. He didn't like having his friend lying there torn and bleeding before him but there wasn't much he could do but try to get as many of the shards as he could out before the witch did something else to him.

He nodded his thanks to Syn as her shadows spilled upon the wounds slowing the leaking blood to a trikle but Sav didn't know wether or note her help had come to late. He didn't know if he was saving his friend or just preparing his body for a burial.

Travesty gave a crooked at their weak attempt at saving Dani. He was lost and her eyes returned to Lance. She liked this torment that she allowed for him. He hadn't even realized it yet but soon he would and as his heart shattered, he would strike out with all that he had left, destroying them both.

She feared the end, all of her kind did. Behind all thier lies and decite, the only thing that held true for everyone is death... and it stood meer yards away from her in a firey fury. She would face him as she had her ancestors. She stood to what was left of her hieght. Her skin was whithered and her hair was grey and worn. She was old, her death stood before her, and she dared it to come for her with a flick of her wrist. That simple movement caused the shards in Dani to quiver a little.

Her note of Kit's words came to being and she retorted, "I am not a coward, I took advantage of his weakness, however noble one might think it to be." she grinned evilly, "I told him to choose and he did. I warned him that he wouldn't be fast enough to save you both. I hope you can live with his decision, because by the looks of things I doubt he will." her grin widened.

She knew that even if Dani recovered from this, he would never be the same again. She had marked him, and as such he would never forget her nor would anyone who left here today. But as she flicked her wrist again the shards quivered and slid in a little deeper to his skin, he probally wouldn't live much longer if they couldn't get them out of him soon.

Dani was gone to this world. all he knew was the darkness and the sharpness of the pain. It grew so intense that as points it blinded him and them the darkness returned and he felt himself floating in the darkness.

His body had taken quiet alot of abuse. His hair was bloody and matted on the ground beneath his broken body. One of his arms was mangled and the other wasn't too well off either, one of his legs was broken while the other was littered with the crystal shards, a little bit more so than the rest of him. The shards were quite numerous but there were some of the more noticable larger shards in his chest, abdomen, shoulders, legs and arms. Those were the ones that resonated with Travesty still and quivered.

Although Syn and Sav were doing thier best to remove the shards it seems that Dani's case was almost helpless. There wasn't much that they could do here, the battle would have to be over before they could do much more that attempt to keep him alive.
Blake sat up and had watched everything. His powers needed to replenish themselves before he could keep going. He had seen what had happened, and he stood up and struggled towards Dani. He knelt beside him, and looked at him. " So.....this is going to be it, Dani? You're just gonna give up? Not even gonna say good bye to everyone else? Not to your brother, not to your temmates, to no one. You're gonna go, without doing everything you wanted to do? " Blake asked with a sigh as he looked at Dani. Not much of a pep talk, but he wasn't one to cheer someone up, and he didn't even know if Dani could hear him, but he continued, " Before you go though, I want to thank you for trusting me. Gotta say Dani, you're one tough nut to crack. Funny though, I never took you for one to accept fate with open arms. Guess I was wrong." He said as he opened his hand and a small flame appeared, " Prove me wrong again Dani. You have to live." He said as he blew on the flame. It floated over the wounds that had shadows over them, then landed on the shadow and cauterized the wound. Once the wound was cauterized, the flame would vanish as not to burn any live skin. He made another flame and repeated the process. Blake could only do one wound at a time, so Syn keeping pressure on them would help alot.
Dragon

Dragon was stunned. In horror, he watched as his brother paid for his folly. He could not blame anyone else, the fault was his own. He had taken a risk, simple as that, and gambling with his brother's life had proved to be foolish. Now his blazing armor had burned down to barely more than embers, and his eyes glazed over.

Dazed, he saw his brother's body pierced by the crystal shards, and he looked on from behind as Sav, Syn, and Blake all came to Dani's rescue. It did little to console him that the three of them were actually making headway on Dani's injuries, but he was relieved his brother might yet live. Sav's grave declaration had worried him.

Still, he had chosen Kit over Dani, and Travesty had taken advantage of a moment of weakness and crushed Dani, probably just as much to harm Dragon as to actually impede Dani's fighting ability. Aside from that, there was still that awful cord that bound both of their life forces together. Or so Travesty said, but Dragon couldn't trust her word, at least not enough of it to take his own life in the hopes it would snuff out her existence as well.

Dragon was left hopeless, and useless as despair washed over him and he cowered before the futility of fighting his ruthless godmother.

Kit turned her attention to Lance who had stopped to look at Dani. She couldn't bear to see the look on his face, and had to turn her attention away from his face. She brought a hand up to her face. Why did it turn out like this. So many thoughts were running through her head, and the tears just kept coming. Why had Lance chosen her over his own brother. "Stupid...," she whispered and took her hand away from her face. Her eyes looked at Lance, who was clearly in pain. Her eyes searched his face, and she could see the hopeless expression on it. Her heart sunk. She brought her other hand up towards her heart, as if that would stop it from all the pain it was feeling, for Lance, for Dani, for the whole situation.

She let her hands fall to her sides. She clenched them into fists and ground her teeth together. She'd had it with this Fae. No matter how powerful she was, no matter how much of an advantage she may have against Kit, she couldn't just sit and watch. She wouldn't try to end the Fae's life, but she'd be sure to make her sorry for everything she ever did to both Lance and Dani. "SHUT UP!" she screeched at Travesty, rage building within her.

Before she knew it, her body was moving. As she charged at the Fae, she picked up one of the larger crystals that had been removed from Dani. It was covered in his blood, but it was still sharp and just as dangerous. She closed the space between her and Travesty, swinging the crystal down at the Fae's shoulder. Of course it was suicidal, but Kit couldn't do nothing. She had to try.

Syn's pointed ears twitched, and her head turned little to look over her shoulder. What was that crazy white haired chick up to this time? She flinched a little when the girl suddenly screamed out of nowhere. "The hell?-" she said, watching Kit charge at the Fae with the bloody crystal. She shook her head, sighing. "What an idiot," she said, turning back around to help tend the rest of Dani's wounds.

Travesty was in pure malicious delight at the look that Dragon gave her. He was lost in his dismay at his brother's broken state, she had gotten as close to winning as she ever had gotten before. He had lost hope in ever winning and his spirit was as broken as Dani's body. She admired that sight greatly.

Travesty's delight was ruined though as she heard the shrieking of Kit and she turned slowly the red line linking her and Dragon swaying slightly as she moved. He knew what Kit was feeling, could feel the rage pouring off of her but then Kit rushed Travesty. Travesty was lost as to what to do until she noticed the weapon Kit intended to use against her. She grinned as the crystal bloodied by Dani came down upon her. She shifted slightly and let the blade plunge into her breast piercing her black heart.

The line between her and Dragon shivered and then exploded at the ends sending Dragon spinning toward the ground. Travesty clutched out at Kit and crushed Kit to her body just close enough to whisper into Kit's ear. Her words came out rough but there was some sick hint of utter satifaction.

"Isn't it just quaint, kitten." she said, "Your love chose you over his own blood and now you chose a rash vengence over him." her grip loosened as she began to fade and collapsed onto the floor.

Sadly, Death wouldn't come to her quickly, she knew this. One such as she would not be allowed to pass so easily so she layed there looking on the destruction she had wrought. Her only solice now is that Dragon would perish knowing that he had chosen over his brother and not know if he would survive from it as well as knowing that his love brought his death swiftly upon him. Her only wish is that the darkness would close in on him before it enveloped her.

(((holy carp... this is interesting... keep it up...)))
Dragon

Pain broke Dragon out of his reverie. Not just pain like a pin p***k or even a bullet wound. Pain like a hurricane in Dragon's chest burst out of nowhere and took him over. It slammed into his back and drove him into the ground, face first.

He lay on the ground in pain, brought painfully to his senses. He cast a drawn-out look around him and assessed the situation as his chest burned and throbbed intensely. Things hadn't changed, except that Kit had stabbed Travesty in the heart.

Then the important thing hit him. The tie that connected him to his faerie godmother was gone. They would now both die. But Dragon didn't trust that Travesty couldn't let him die and simply reviver herself with some yet unknown faerie magic. He had to drive the final nail into the coffin. But how could he with this crippling pain inside his chest?

He needed his friends. He checked Sav, still tending to Dani, and turned to Kit. He tried to stand, and the moment he placed his weight on his foot he stumbled and fell on his face again. He lay there trying to catch his breath and called out with as much strength as he could.

Which resulted in about a whisper, although loud and raspy. "Kit! I need you!"

((Sohl and Dray haven't been brought up because they aren't needed again yet. We can't do anything further with them yet.))
Sav noticed the sparks and the rashness of Kit's move but in some way he understood why she would ahve done such a thing. She couldn't have killed Travesty is she hadn't wanted her to. Travesty knew that it was about the worst way to hurt her and being amaster fo the art she took the blade into her breast and ensured both her and Dragon's demise.

He looked back down at Dani and didn't quite know what these feelings were within him. He knew that there was sadness and sorrow from the broken state of his proud friend yet at the same time a vile hatred poisoned his thoughts. He knew that Travesty was going to die sooner or later but sooner would make him feel better at least. There she lie bleeding out on the floor fading every second into the darkness, yet Sav knew that she would be a long time going. The light burn fiercly in her eyes and he knew that she was still dangerous even like this.

"A star burns brightest before it goes nova." Sav muttered to himself but at the same time he wondered if that had any inclination to why she was laying there. He didn't know if she was even capable of anything else for the moment.

He looked over to Dragon whose life was now forfit and he felt a slight pity for his friends brother. Faced with a decision between his blood and his love, he chose love. Sav did commend him though, he chose wisely because Sav knew that there was no possible way that Kit would have been able to survive what Travesty would have done to her had Dragon chose Dani. Dragon was struggling to make sure Travesty would be finished once and for all yet he couldn't even stand. He met Dragons gaze and then looked down at Dani. Sav didn't want to leave him but what could his powers do but destroy.
Dragon

Dragon saw the look in Sav's eyes as his eyes passed over Dragon's and it pained him. Sav had been Dani's faithful best friend since before Dani had reunited with Dragon. It hurt Sav just as much as it did he to see Dani so lifeless. He gathered his courage and tried again to stand. This time, he thought of his friends, their resolve to see him through his purpose, the sacrifice they all were making. It gave him some of his innocence back to see such caring demonstrated, and he drew his strength from that.

He still hurt like hell, but what he had to say needed to be said. Sav was in pain, to see things he could do nothing to change. To someone like he or Dani, that would be outright torture. At least he had the solace of knowing it was for a good cause. Sav had no such reassurance, he was an outsider at best in this situation. "Sav, Dani needs to get out of here. Seeing this won't do him any good, anyway. He's the only one who will be able to lead the Titans when I'm gone. So do both of yourselves a favor and take he and yourself, along with her," he said, pointing at Syn. "Back to the mortal realm. Your time here is done. You have served what purpose you may. Now go."

He was left panting and weak after that speech. The life was still ebbing out of him, fading slowly away with each full pounding throb in his chest. He cried out in pain as another attack besieged him, clutching at his chest, tearing at his scales in a primitive effort to relieve the pain.He fell again to one knee and called out Kit again. "Please, Kit, now!"
