Sav couldn't even smile as the girls words... "Sometimes... it is the only thing that matters..." the pain behind his eyes were apparent but he turned to leave before anyone could notice... "Little Momo, just hold on to that hope... maybe that is why so many of us are lost already..." he started after Dani, not waiting for a reply...

Momo's ears twitched, listening to his words. 'Sometimes...it is the only thing that matters...' She could hear the pain in his voice, and she knew that voicing her own opinion had been a mistake. She sighed to herself. Maybe he was right. Even if it went against what Mama had always said, Sav was a lot older than Momo and knew more than she.

She was going to say something, try to be comforting as best she could. But by that time, the man had already left. Momo kept the kind words to herself.

Blake nodded at Dani. " That's fine by me..." He said quietly and followed Dani. All right, I guess I'm in 'probation' or something. he thought and the corners of his mouth twitched.

Kenta heard the conversation, looked over the edge of the building, then jumped over. He landed next to Momo, and looked at her with a smile at what she said, " That's true, but sometimes coming out on top is the only way to reach your goal." He said then smiled, his tail twitching lightly. He looked back around, and his ears shifted a bit towards the wind, so he could keep a lookout that way. " Winning isn't everything, but if you end up at the bottom, you won't be able to do anything." He said as he looked at the morning sky.

Momo turned to look at Kenta as he landed next to her. Her crimson eyes watched him curiously. She thought about his words. Momo, for being the age she was, was very intelligent. Some of her ideas may have been childish, but she listened to things and learned things that way. She studied the behavior of others. She cared more to learn about people than facts themselves.

"It makes sense. In certain situations, winning might mean the difference between life and death, say in a fight between an enemy or something. But in most cases, it's the fact that you tried, giving it your all." She smiled up at Kenta. "I know it sounds all mushy, but I think that it's true. Give it your all, and it doesn't matter if you win. Put all of your heart into something you believe in, and no one has the right to call you a loser."

"Well, you're a smart little kid, aren't you !" Kenta said with a laugh, then ruffled her hair, " Anyways, my name is Kenta, it's a pleasure to meet such an intelligent little lady." He said with a kind smile and a little bow. (( Hey!! This thread's 1 year aniversary is coming up!!! WOOOT!!!))

Just as the man landed by Momo, Terraton looked at him briefly: a feral yet refined look was in his eye, an impression that his tail only helped with.
His eye drifted back down, however to the little girl. It was the first time he had seen her standing there. With all the commotion and others about, not to mention her minute size, he had missed her. For a moment, as his eyes met hers he smiled. The innocence and hopefulness reminded him of the younger girls back on the reservation he gladly called his nieces. It all melted his heart.
Nonetheless he found himself lost in memory only to whip himself back to reality. The woman before him, now on her rear, needed a gentleman (at least that's how his master always taught him to respond).
He offered his hand, bending low, almost to his knee. "First impressions are such a fickle thing. Second impressions last far longer and always hold more truth."

Talon smiled gruffly and took Terraton's hand. She stood up with its help, then she let go. "So..." She turned her head to Kenta, though she did not know this name. "Who are you?" She smirked. "Everything always happens when I'm gone."

Kenta looked at the girl with wings, " Eh? Oh! My name's Kentaru,or just Kenta, and I'm not officially with the Titan's South Team. I know Raven from Titans Central, and she recomended you guys to me. You could say I'm an ally to the Titans." He said and smiled.

"Cool. Nice to meet you, then, Kenta," Talon said, lacking enthusiasm. "I'm Talon."

"And I am Terraton," he bowed to the young man before him. "I don't know who I am associated with but these... Titans seemed to wish me to join them... well, some of them." Terraton looked to the group that now seemed so far away. "Speaking of such, I believe we should not stay and be left behind. Shall we be off then?"
Terraton thought for a second of where this path may lead him, of what sort of reception Dragon will have for him at the "penthouse", whatever that was.
