- Everything was laid out like it was meant to be. The pawn was centered from the first move, thus concluding the other one's turn with her own in the same position as his. He smirked at this tactic. She could never best him, but this time she was going all for nothing. She thought by the end of the game she'd have him beat, but he would prove her wrong.. yet again. His hand moved forward to place a knight in a new spot, catching a faint twinkle in her eyes as he looked up at her. Her thick blonde hair waved about as she leaned forward, repositioning another pawn elsewhere.
He studied his moves before shifted a pawn, her following suite. His eyebrow raised at this. Before long he had most of her pawns got with the exception of three well into his territory, but his queen was about to win him he game. Repositioning his last knight, she thought she had him beat. She chuckled as she moved forward her bishop, knocking away her knight. A few seconds later she was squealing in anger as his queen captured her king; checkmate.
A grin creased his face as she stood, glaring daggers in his directions. She began to grumble a very particular string of curses that weren't in the least bit flattering for someone like her to utter, but he paid no heed. She did that every time he won. "Maybe next time, Marissa." She waved her hand dismissively at his comment as she left his house. She only came over to play chess and shoot the breeze.
The man laid back against his couch, a glass now resting in his up-raised hand, palm resting against the thin layer of glass separating flesh from liquid. He moved his palm, swirling the liquid before tipping it against his lip to drain it away down his throat. Making a satisfied noise as the liquid hit the spot in his stomach, his grin softened into a simple smile. "A victorious match, along with a fine drink.. makes the night so much more pleasant." His smile grew. His thoughts shifted to the Titan's
"Locus.." Her name flicked off his tongue as he rose, setting the empty glass onto his coffee table. He swiftly made his way towards his front door, but locked it. He was going to stay in for a little while longer before roaming as he typically would at this hour. He wanted to find Locus, but.. he couldn't. The last time he had gotten close to her.. 'he' had pushed him away, forcing him to retreat from his sister. A sudden thought flickered into his mind; was she there, in town? He hoped against this.. He didn't want to see her yet.
His mind then roamed back to Slade.. Always to his old teacher. He hoped that he was alright and well, but he wasn't sure. He hadn't seen or heard from the man in quite awhile. Probably busy crafting more dangerous plans. This man just hoped that Slade didn't meddle with the likes of people like Trigon again. That was such a messy ordeal.
He settled into the leather of his couch, an arm lying lazily along the back of the black material, a leg resting along the edge beside him, full extended. Releasing a sigh, he laughed for a bit. "Ahh.. 'Always so steady.. with fingers so gentle. You stand before the window, mocking the wind that tickles the glass under your fingertips. You turn, flashing that generous smile of yours.. but when you speak.. your lips move, no sound coming out. Your body shifts with laughter, but there is nothing heard.' Hn.." His mind spouted that, a distant memory from his past.
「 Out Of Cookies 」 :: I was too lazy to re-design his entry post. Lol. I did fix the last few paragraphs.
