{{the quiet farmtown of Izul

A spring wind blows between the small houses of the peaceful farming village. As the farming families prepare to plant the crops for the new year, a less-than-busy group of young men and women mills about the town square, murmuring about a notice recently tacked up on the wall of the inn. Agitated, the innkeeper chases the young people off, forcing them to waste their time elsewhere. The flier, now in full view, proves to be a wanted notice from the Knights of Aria's Order.
If I look into a mirror, I will see...well, the opposite of this.

the false knight
(Emily Bransen

Emily sighed, shaking her head as the innkeeper drove the crowd away from his establishment. Honestly, how did they think the old man would respond to their slacking off? By serving the lot of them free beer at the inn? At this time of year, there was a lot that needed to be done. Crops needed to be planted. The cattle and sheep needed to be watched and recounted due to the recent births of calves and lambs. Anyone who didn't pull their weight in Izul was not welcome during such busy times. Anyone who thought this unfair might as well pack up and head for the city.
...Like she had any room to talk. What was she still doing in this place? After his pass-- disappearance, Emily had no one to vouch for her place in this community.
Flipping a strand of sandy blond hair over her shoulder, the young sword wielder crossed the square towards the inn. Almost any information from anywhere outside of this sleepy village was considered juicy by the local gossips, but still... Her purple eyes shifted as she read the notice from the Knights.
It said the following:

Warning
A band of anarchists is thought to have gone into hiding in the general area of the Pyralican continent.
Anyone who notices strange occurrences or people with odd clothing or behavior should contact the closest headquarters of the Knights of Aria's Order.
Anyone who notices such strange phenomena and is found to be withholding information risks imprisonment.
Hoping for your unhesitating loyalty and cooperation,

Colonel Alphaeus Stagfield
Commander of Aria's Knights, Pyralican Division

Anarchists. Suuure. Like anyone would wish to usurp a government that was so "well-founded." Rolling her eyes, Emily tore the flier off the wall and wadded it into a paper ball. It was nothing to worry about. From stories he had always told her, this Colonel Stagfield had always been a bit too paranoid. Leaving the town square, Emily threw the crumpled paper over her shoulder in agitation.

Nothing can stop me from finding what needs to be found. My memories, my loved ones...I won't let them be snatched away so easily.

Warmth. That was the first thing that the young archer, Chester Burklight, felt upon awakening. A pleasant warmth caressed his face, its gentle touch lingering on his closed eyelids. Slowly, he could feel himself waking up, noting the feel of soft grass underneath him. It was nice. Chester couldn't remember the last time he felt so calm and relaxed. So...peaceful. The only way this moment could be any better would be if Amy were here to enjoy it with him.

Amy...

Sighing, Chester forced his eyes open and sat up. Sadness would slow him down when the others needed him the most. Now anger, on the other hand, that was another thing entirely. It got his blood pumping, ready for a fight. But this morning was too pleasant. He couldn't get...

Chester's thoughts trailed off as he became fully aware of his surroundings. Eyes narrowing, he lept to his feet, holding his bow at the ready. The previous night, he had fallen asleep in a bed at an inn. Cress and everyone else had shared the room, of course, so they had been nearby.

So why was he standing on grass stretching out between an unknown forest and a strange town? Alone?

"Haha, I don't know what to tell ya. I'm just a weak, lazy bum. All I want is a fun, easy life. That's it- nothing more, nothing less!"

Zelos lay on his back and let out a groan, he knew he had been fighting a group of rogues that had jumped him...Yeah, that seemed right, there had been quite a big group and it hadn't been easy, not forgetting to mention NOT fun. He opened his eyes and found that he stared up at a clear blue sky with lots of trees in the way...Okay, it had been night when he was fighting, and wait...He was holding something in his right hand! The Ex-Chosen sat up and looked at what his hand was around and found it holding on to Sheena's wrist. She lay on her side and her bangs hid her face from his view, and filling the Chosen with worry over his unconscious friend.

Crawling over so that he sat next to her, Zelos rolled her onto her back and frowned, besides her split lip and a bruise over her left cheek, she seemed pretty good just a bit dirty... Or so it seemed, Zelos looked down when he realized his knee was on something moist and was greeted with a bright crimson puddle seeping from a tear on the side of Sheena's torso. His eyes widened and his face went pale as he, for an instant, saw his mother where Sheena lay. Back to when he was but a child and some woman had intended on killing him, but his mother took the blow instead. When the snow fell red and he learned that his mother had wished he had never been born. A cold feeling slowly snaked its way into his entire being and he involuntarily shook. But no, this couldn't go on.

Shaking his head, Zelos pulled out some bandages he always carried with him and tried as best as he could to slow down the bleeding. Scooping up his fallen comrade in his hands, and ignoring the pain from his own wounds, he looked around and made his wings emerge "Come on hunny, you're looking a bit pale..." He spoke in a serious tone although he meant to joke and cheer himself up a bit from his panic stricken state.

He took off, ignoring the few branches he happened to run into but shortly had to land just outside of the forest as he started blacking out from the lack of energy. He blamed it on his energy, but he knew he had to be injured himself...Maybe even worse than Sheena was, but if he confirmed this, he knew he wasn't going to go any further than he had already. "Okay...Plan "B"..." the red headed Chosen began to walk towards the town he spotted, concentrated on getting his friend some help and completely disregarded a person he spotted at the distance.

Oddly enough, this whole predicament reminded him of the time Sheena had been poisoned when she and him were traveling to save Zelos' sorry behind. It was a group of men out for Zelos, yet Sheena had come along to keep him company as he had asked her to. They had both fought against the large group decently, but in the progress Sheena had been poisoned and she collapsed on the wet ground. Rain and all, Zelos had carried her to an abandoned shack and taken care of the men before turning in for the night right next to his ill friend...*

He couldn't help but chuckle and mumble "Deja'vu...."

"Cress!" Chester called out. "Mint! Claus! Suzu!" No response. "...Arche, you spoiled, self-centered shrew!" The archer folded his arms and slowly counted to ten. If the pink-haired half elf was anywhere in the immediate vicinity, there was no way she could stand that taunting. Even if she was hiding in a bush somewhere to try and scare him, this would bring her right out like a fish on a fishing line.
Fifteen seconds passed without response. Okaaay, Arche should have been in the middle of exchanging insults with him by now. Meaning she was nowhere nearby.
Meaning that no one was nearby.
Chester, warily checked his surroundings again, noticed motion in the direction of the forest. Faster than one could blink, the young archer had an arrow set on his bow, the string pulled back, ready to fire. "Who's there?"
