"No need to hear your voice or see your face to know that you are with me."
- - - - -

I kept looking around, wondering if and when we'd actually find something interesting; whether it be a Heartless, a Nobody, or anything else. I glanced as Eva turned around, assuming she was just searching a little more. I didn't bother paying any attention until I heard some strange noise coming from behind me. I turned around nonchalantly, and my eyes widened and my brows raised as I saw Eva now struggling with a Heartless creature, and a powerful-looking one at that. I put on a stern face as it flung her at the wall and started to focus on me.

As it approached me, I readied myself for battle, pointing my Keyblade toward the Heartless, waiting for it to strike first. Then, suddenly, the Heartless froze in place and I realized that Eva was using magic against it. I nodded in her direction, and ran toward the monster, Keyblade in hand, ready to strike it down. As my Key came down upon the stilled Heartless, it screeched and fizzled into many little shadowy clouds, which then faded into nothing. I relaxed my stance a bit now, and ran over to Eva, taking a look at the scratch across her face.

"Are you alright?" I asked her, concerned. The cut didn't look too bad, so it wasn't my biggest worry. I hoped she hadn't gotten too hurt from that little scrap with the Heartless. I was really impressed, however, by her use of that magic spell just in time. "What was that thing?" I asked her after a moment. I knew that, obviously, it was a Heartless. But I also knew that there were different kinds, and this one had seemed like one of the stronger ones. Hopefully if we were to see anymore of them, we'd be ready and more prepared for a battle.

I watched as Atharo finished off the heartless before running over to me, examining any wounds I had before asking if I was alright. "I'm fine, just a little bump on the head and scratch on the face." I said with a smile. Atharo then asked what that heartless was and my smile faded. "That heartless is known as a NovaShadow, it's a more powerful version of a NeoShadow. It likes to hide in the shadows or disappear into its own shadow in the ground. It's hard to attack it when it constantly hides in the shadows, so I stopped it by freezing it in time." I said before I stumbled to my feet, a green light surrounding the cut on my cheek before the cut, the green light, and my keyblade all disappeared. "Luckily I'm skilled with magic, we'll be prepared next time." I said with a smile before I continued walking.

"I have a feeling the source is in the castle, Heartless like places with little light. Let's just be careful though, we're probably bound to run into more heartless like the one we just encountered, maybe even stronger." I explained to Atharo. "Let's just hope we don't." I muttered to myself.

I hated the silence that seemed to fill the empty town. The dark sky above us didn't make it any better. It reminded me of the day my home was attacked. The sky was a sea of dark clouds, rain pouring down rather heavily. Chills ran down my back before I pushed the memory back. Now was not the time to go and get lost in old memories. I just hoped that both Atharo and I could save this town while we were here. If we did, that would be one less world for us to save later. I began to wonder what would happen once the source of the heartless was gone, would the people of this town return? Or were they all doomed to be lost and this town would be a ghost town forever. I prayed that it was my first thought.

xxxMy life is flashing before my eyes.. I can't see much. But I know that they're all events that I've already seen before. My breathing was slowing, and my heart was beating faster. I felt cold everywhere... and no matter how many times I struggle to hold myself, it felt as if I was being held down. Suddenly, the images flashed again, forcing me to take notice of all the events. All the moments.. they were all my near death experiences... why? Why am I seeing these horrid images!?

"CLEAR."

Who was that!? Wh- Suddenly I felt a jolt of electricity run through me. I struggled to open my eyes, but all I could see it a light and lots of people talking.. well a little more like shouting.

"CLEAR."

This time, I felt them put something over my chest before making the jolt run through my vains. I heard one of them say, "Yes! We've got a pulse!" when my heart started regulating again. Suddenly, my vision blacked out.

The light above me was moving farther and farther away from me, and I felt myself falling. I tried my best to try to move my body.. but it felt like something was keeping me from doing so. I know there couldn't be anything holding me down, I was alone in this situation.. or so it looked. Should I call for help? Would anybody hear me in this place!? I'm guessing not.. I have to do something. Suddenly, my keyblade appeared in front of me and just then, I forced myself to reach out to my Memory and try to grab ahold of it. I missed. From beneath me.. I saw something dark try to reach out to me, but on the larger scale, I saw that I wasn't myself... I was Nero.. I was my brother. And that keyblade.. it's not Sweet Memories.. it was Nero's.. Cerberus. The dark entity's arms wrapped around Nero's body, and tried to pull him in.. slowly, the void crawled up to his face as he reached out to grab ahold of Cerberus with high hopes for his keyblade to release him. Instead... Cerberus embraced the black power that moved up to it, letting the colorless eyes on the keyblade switch to red. A cackle was heard just before Nero was pulled in.

I jolted up on my bed, sweating like I never did before. I ran my hand through my hair, letting it sooth my irregular heartbeats (which was pretty soon). Why am I in a hospital? Wha- Wait... I remember now. I was.. fighting the-the-... damn what were they called again? Nobodies? Yeah... I don't know what they are.. but they're certainly not humans (that was something I could confirm). I sighed just when I noticed the nurse walk in with her clipboard. "Hows your wound, miss Decennio?" Wound? What woun- oh wait. Those Nobodies.. they hit me in the head and stomach didn't they? Hmm... "I'm fine I guess..." I answered.

"That's good then." She smiled and turned to leave, "We'll be releasing you soon-" "How soon!?" I asked, grasping her hand before she could take another step towards the door. She turned to face me, "Uhh In about a week." "Where am I?" I know... I was pounding her with questions... but these are things I have to know.. Her smile returned, "Hollow Bastion.." I stared at her for a minute... Hollow, WHAT!? Okay, now I know for a fact, I am NOT home. "Oh..." I let her go. I tried to think about it for a minute; how did I get here? And how did I meet up with those nobodies in the first place? What happened? Did I win? Where's Nero? How--OH MY GOD!!!! WHERE'S NERO!?

"OH MY GOD!!!" HOW COULD I FORGET HIM!? HE'S MY BROTHER! OH JEEZ!!! OH MY GOD!!! WHERE DID HE GO!? The deep gash on my head and the huge cut on my stomach didn't stop me from going out on my search. I pulled off all the wires attached to my body, and hopped off the bed. Okay, hopefully Nero won't find out about this. After a few minutes, I took some time to change into my normal clothing; a blouse, a sweater over it, my skirt and the jewelery.. I might be needed these to get money.

It was difficult to hide the markings/bruises with the make-up I found in my roomates purse and I was careful while putting on my clothes to be sure I wouldn't worsen my injuries. Now! It's time to sneak out!

"No need to hear your voice or see your face to know that you are with me."
- - - - -

I listened to Eva's explanation of the NovaShadow Heartless we had just defeated. It was a tad confusing at first, but it made sense once I thought about it. I watched as she healed the cut on her face, a small glimmer of green illuminating her cheek for just a moment, and then she seemed perfectly fine. I wondered if I had any magical powers like that, or even some different ones. I wasn't really up-to-date on how everything here worked, but I hoped I'd find out sooner or later. I preferred it to be sooner, though. I unequipped my Keyblade, watching is it disappeared from my grasp with a faint shimmering of a blue-ish light. Why were our Keyblades different? Did that mean anything? Or was it just a coincidence. And the names of mine, Eclipse...Oathkeeper...did they have any significance? I was so full of questions.

We continued walking through town, in near-silence as the only sounds I heard were our footsteps and the occasional quiet breeze. It was cold. Fortunately, I like the cold, so it didn't even bother me in the least. "Hopefully nothing too tough comes our way." I said after a while, trying to break the silence. "I'm still not so sure of what I'm even doing..." I added. I felt a tad surprised as my usual confident self seemed to have disappeared suddenly. Then again, back at home in the village, my confident self had always at least known what was going on, what challenges he had to face. Here I was now, with barely a clue. However, it seemed as though I was starting to make a friend out of Eva. That couldn't be bad, right?

While we were walking, I suddenly heard a sound. It was very quiet, but still noticeable. It was almost like a banging or rustling of sorts, coming from within a nearby shop. I stopped in my tracks to examine the place for a moment, and found nothing to be wrong with it that I could see. "Did you heard that?" I asked Eva, wondering if I was just hearing things or if that had really happened. If something was actually in there, what would it be? A Heartless? Another NovaShadow, or something worse? At least now I would be aware that something was going on, and I'd be more prepared for a fight if I expected one was coming. I took two steps closer to the shop, still curious. "It sounds like something might be in here." I said, looking back at Eva with a look that said it was her call.

I watched the battle between the two Royal Keybladers and the NovaShadow, slightly entertained as I did. The girl, despite her fragileness, seemed to be putting up a good fight along with her partner. NovaShadows are one of the hardest forms of heartless to defeat so quickly. Yet somehow, the girl managed to think of a way to imobilize the heartless in order to give the male keyblader an opening to attack and kill the heartless. I will say this, they do seem to work well when it comes to teamwork.

I then looked at Alichino when she said we could always stop the keybladers at the Great Maw, and she did have a point. Upon hearing her last comment I looked at her with a raised brow before I looked back at the female keyblader. "Ridiculous." I said before I turned to walk away, but I stood there and looked back at Alichino, waiting for her to follow. It was best that the two of us work together in order to stop the keybladers, especially when I was beginning to sense more and more of them showing up. One was somewhere in this world, but oddly enough there was another but the aura was slightly different from the other Royal Keybladers.

Still, Alichino's words kept echoing in my mind. Did that female keyblader really look like me? If so, was it just a coincidence or was there a deeper meaning to it? I looked back at the female keyblade from the corner of my eye as she stumbled to her feet. I stood there and stared at her, trying to process the information through my mind and think up a logical reason for it. There were probably many reasons why she looks like me, but for now I would just call it a coincidence. Eventually I will find confront her, and possibly learn the real truth behind that mystery.

"Let's go Alichino." I said before I started walking.

"Hey...wake up."

Just leave me alone...

"I told you...wake up."

I hear voices talking to me. What happened?

"Is she awake...?" "No...something must have bad happened."
I slowly opened my eyes and saw a young man look down at me. "Hey, she woke up." He said. Then a woman came into focus,"Hey, are you alright?" She asked me. I quickly sat up and looked around. It was an old-worn down house inside. It was my house! But, I don't remember what happened."Yeah...I'm alright...what happened?"I asked the couple. The man looked at me,"Well, I don't know what happen to you. You were lying on the ground outside of this house."He told me. I was lying down...outside the house? But, I was with Madel- Madeline! Wher was she? I looked around and found no sight if her."Did you see a young girl?"I quickly asked the two. The woman shooked her head,"No, we didn't. We only saw you." She told me. I put my hand over and mouth and started crying."Madeline...you're gone! Why?" I looked at the young couple,"Please...leave."I told them politely. After they left, I went over to Madeline's bed and sat on it. I closed my eyes,

The lamps were flicking and Madeline started to scream in fear. I quickly grabbed her and moved her into a safe place by our dressers. My keyblade quickly appeared in my hand, the One-Winged Angel and my other one Star Seeker appeared in my other hand. I was just learning know to use these weapons and I haven't told my sister about the Keyblades. Then the Nobodies came into the house and I started slicing them one-by-one. Madeline watched me as I fought, then she screamed,"Claire!" I turned around and black hands were grabbing her. I ran over and sliced them. Grabbing her hand, we both ran outside. More of them! Madeline quickly ran to safety, but a Nobody grabbed her. I tried to get her back, but more Nobodies attacked me and fell to the snow...it was all black then.

I stood up and looked outside, Hallow Bastion was dark as ever. Closing the blinds of the window, I changed into a black shirt and a white shirt along with it. Making sure my hair was into two pigtails, I then put on my black socks, along with White High Top Converse that reached below the knee. After tieing them, I grabbed my gray messager bag and put it over me shoulder. Making sure I had all the things that I nedded. Then I headed out.

Walking outside, I looked at the nightsky. Few stars shined brightly. I had to keep a cool front. I had to find my sister, Madeline. I started walking as I twirled my hair.

After I dealt with those creatures at the market square, I continued onwards to a residential area. There I met a interesting welcoming party These new knight armored demons had swords on their arms. One of them took a step forward aiming its blade at me as the others followed suit. Instead of using my gun, I sheathed it, accepting their challenge as I charged with my sword to meet theirs. We all were in a sword lock from that point. You see my blade was long enough to engage all four of them at the same time. I had expected a challenge from them, and I was wrong. Calling them novices of the sword would be almost generous. Their strength gave in as I sliced clean through all four of them. Then something I didn't expect to see happened. Remember the glass that dug into my arms? Well call me insane, but the wounds are gone, like it never even happened. How could this be possible. Could it be, when I swung my sword? Despite the weapon's grim appearance, it was starting to impress me.

I looked up and saw dozens more on the roof. "Now that's just annoying." I had a strong feeling I could take them, but it seemed like it was going to be a long push from point A to point B. An instinct told me to sheath it behind me as if I was carrying a sheath large enough for it. Sure enough, it sheathed like magic, or maybe even magnetic... Regardless, I took out both of my shotguns aiming at two different knights. "Well, time to go to work." I sarcastically stated before beginning my advancement, shooting all the way. This wasn't fun anymore. I rushed through as fast as I could, shooting anything that moved.

Eventually made it through that hoard and into a tunnel like bridge structure. I looked at a near by sign stating "Bailey" So this must to a different block of the town. There was also a balcony. I took the opportunity to gaze out in to the dark skies to see what exactly was my objective. I saw at the top of the city, a hugely deformed castle with rapidly moving dark clouds surrounding it. The worse part is...those weren't clouds. I could tell...it was a swarm of those things. My god, that was a lot of them. I needed to get to the castle. They aren't flying around there for the hell of it. They must be protecting something...

I averted my attention back in front of me to see a giant dark....man.... slowly rising into my view. When it full stood up, it towered over me by at least 20 feet. It glared down at me with its demon-ish yellow eyes as it raised its left arm into the air. It doesn't take much to determine what was going to happen next. "ssssssSHHIIIIIIIITT!!!!" Being in a closed narrow space to dodge in was bad enough. Being on a bridge with a ceiling that could cave in on you was even worse. I made a mad dash to the other side before I heard the demon's roar followed by the fist colliding into the bridge. I actually felt the ground fall at the last second before lunging to the other side flat on the ground. Well no one's ever going to use that bridge ever again. I forced myself to get up wincing in pain from the way I landed. I was definitely going to feel that in the morning.

I looked back to were I would have been buried to see a dust cloud from the debris. I blinked for just a second looking at it and I saw that things "right hook" come at me through the cloud. There wasn't enough time to dodge the attack so I took the blow head on and was sent flying into a near by wall. I didn't go down in vain though, I managed to shoot that things arm enough while I flung backwards to make it scream. Once I hit the wall and fell to the ground, I stood up up coughing and groaning. I faced my opponent with my sword drawn "Well, Kureno. Guess you've finally gotten your challenge." I said to myself before it fired another fist at me. Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, to hell with you. I dodged his punch this time with a little more ease. I realized the creature had formed a portal on the ground which was spawning lesser demons. However, it gave itself a huge opening. I ran toward the arm ignoring the other demons and ran up its arm. Soon as I came up to its head, I thrusted my blade straight into the b*****d's head. I then pulled out my shotgun for some nice point-blank shots.

It wasn't long until the demon couldn't take anymore and pulled me off his head and threw me at the ground. I hit the ground yet again, but it didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. I guess it was this sword's power again. The lesser demons came at me trying to devour me while I was done. All they managed to eat was shotgun lead. But I then realized this was a distraction, that large one was storing energy in its gaping wide hole. It then fired what appear to be homing blasts of energy. It was move it or lose it soon as I flipped to my feet trying to outrun the blasts. As I was running I fired watch shots I could manage at the head in order to make it stop. Soon it got up and charged at me with his fist. I decided to try something different this time. With the sword in my right hand, I swung at the fist that intended to smite me. I cut clean through it, causing it to jerk its arm back. Enraged, it attacked me with another right hook, where as the same result occurred. As I sliced clean through the giant arm, it lost balance and fell over in front of me resting on his hands.

This would be the final blow. I aimed my sword as if I were placing darts and nailed it right at in its head. I then took out my second shotgun and fired them both at the head to finish it off. It was over, I heartless finally fell in front of me like a dead man. It fell close enough to me so I could just reach out my hand and pull the sword out of it's head. As I did, it began to vanish. A giant red thing floated into the air, but stopped midway and floated to be sword as it absorbed it. It was something I had just realized, the red things didn't float up to the sky ever since I had been using this sword. Was that red stuff some sort of power I could utilize? Before I could contemplate anymore on the subject, I looked up to see one of the clouds had spotted me. It literally started to rain fire, time to run like hell again.

.:: Please note the the castle at the top of the city has the same rooms as Hollow Bastion from KH I. ::.

Fortunately, the route I needed to go was protected by a narrow mini-canyon. That should block some of the fire. Eventually they gave up and fluttered back up to the rest of the group. I then reached a lift of some sort. I stepped on hoping it would take me where I needed to go. I didn't feel as exhausted as I should be feeling, gotta love this sword. I looked back at the damage I had caused to the place and felt a little guilty and sad. This reminded me of what happened when my world died. It also reminded me that there's still a b*****d in this castle to kill. The lift stopped and I was at the large gates of the castle. Wouldn't you know, it was locked. I searched the door and the wall for some sort of way around it. There had to be a switch somewhere here. I assure you, to the owner of this castle, know that there will be hell to pay.

I wish you'd stop with that look of despair you're giving me.

Alichino, on the other hand, had already allowed her mind to drift off elsewhere. Kind of funny, how watching the brunette down there stumble around reminded her much of herself. Well, not now, but then. It was a recollection she hadn't expected, and out of habit, pressed the back of her hand to her cheek. How many times had she lost her balance, tripped, and fallen? And how many times had she landed on her cheek or chin, leaving a constant bruise that never seemed to want to go away? It hurt, she knew that much. It wasn't long before Alichino worked herself away from clumbsiness, and became a warrior of incredibly precise balance. Still, it made her laugh. That girl there, young and inexperienced, posessed incredibly potential. Potential that almost upset Alichino, as she had many years of training behind her, more than that girl. Well, that was that. She wasn't going to fret over it.

Upon hearing her name, Alichino turned, focusing on the one who said it. It was a moment of blank staring, and finally, the girl tilted her head. That was Asch, not Iel. Bah, how troublesome. The ravenette heaved a sigh, climbing up and dusting off her coat and skirt. To think she let her mind wander that far, that the one who was calling her would have been Mr. Iel. No, it wasn't, and she never intented to voice that confusion, either. It happened. From time to time, Alichino reminisced so deeply she forgot reality for a short moment. Many things that were nostalgic to the girl could temporarily remove her from the present state of time. A smell, a sentence, an action. Many things, unfortunately. It became rather hard to function on occasion. Constantly being reminded of all she had seen was vexxing. But she couldn't force herself to block it out, or Iel's death would no longer mean anything, nor would having slayed Zhevat been her drive to find her family's murderer.

                                "Coming."

Alichino kept behind about three steps, deciding asking questions was pretty much useless. Asch didn't like her, and he didn't like any of the other Dark Keybearers. Trying to pull information out of him was like finding needles in a haystack. Not an easy task at all. Honestly, he didn't seem to ever even want to answer simple questions. For now, she'd follow, and see what he was doing. But eventually, if Alichino decided the things were getting a little too boring for her likes, she'd leave. For now, she was entertained enough and was also rather hard to bore. The noted increase of Royal Keybearers in the area was beginning to make her uncomfortable. If it became necessary, she would intervene with tact of her own, but Alichino was different. She wouldn't send out minions; She went in herself, and made the boundary line impassible.

"Hey, Asch. Let's get food; I'm hungry."

I looked at Atharo when he said he heard something coming from one of the shops. I nodded my head as a way to tell him to go and investigate it while I followed behind him. After I took a step though to follow my partner, I stopped when I saw something large rise from the ground. A heartless! None the less a Darkside heartless!

Without a second thought or even saying a word to Atharo, I quickly bolted off towards the heartless. When I got near it though, I noticed someone was fighting it and I started thinking that it was the keyblader we were looking for, but I stopped when I saw the heartless go down. Did the keyblader manage to kill that thing on their own? I continued running until I reached the spot where the Darkside had fallen, only to see it was gone along with the keyblader.

Well, at least we were closer to the castle. I looked behind me to see that I had apparently lost Atharo. "Atharo?" I said, looking around. Unfortunately there was no sign of him. I must have lost him when I bolted off. I suddenly turned around when I saw fireballs falling from the sky and I was somewhat confused at first before I decided to head in that direction. Normally one would think it's a bad idea to run into danger, but it was my only chance of finding the missing keyblader. Luckily the fireballs stopped after some time, but I had to cover my mouth to avoid inhailing any of the smoke. I ended up reaching a dead end, but I then noticed a lift of some sort that had just came down. Did someone just use it or was it automatic? Either way, I decided to head up.

Upon reaching the top I was surprised to see someone was standing outside of the gate, as if they were trying to find some way in. I looked at the person at the gate before looking up at the castle. For some odd reason, seeing the castle and the gates of the castle felt familiar to me, like I had been here before. I looked at the gates before looking down at another platform that was nearby. I stared at it before I suddenly remembered something. I then looked at the person at the gates and slowly approached him. "There is another way into the castle if you want to get in." I said, looking at the guy who stood before me. "But before I can show you that path, tell me why you're here in the first place." I said. I had to test this guy first, for all I know he could be a Dark Keyblader. His aura was hard to read, so I couldn't get an exact answer on which one he was.

.:: I typed this at school 8D ::.

I examined the door looking for some way inside. It seemed like nothing would get me in. I was so focused on the door I couldn’t even hear the footsteps behind me. I seemed to have exerted every possible way of opening that door…well… There was one method I could try but I highly doubt it would work. I unsheathed my long blood-stained sword and slashed at the door to see what would happen. Then some sort of weird force field pushed me back with immense power. “The hell?!” I cussed as I fell flat on my back. I flipped to my feet laying my sword across my shoulder as I watched the scaly shield become invisible once more. “Nothing ventured, nothing gained.” I tried to positively reinforce myself that it wasn’t a total loss.

Right about there, that’s when I heard a voice behind me. It said it knew a way into the castle but it desired to know why I was here. Now what would you do if you heard a voice behind you in a ******** up place like this. Even though the voice was quiet, the voice was enough to startle me. I swiftly turned around with a shotgun drawn in my left hand aimed towards this new person. For all I could know, this could be a demon in a new form. I looked closely at my new target to see it was a girl. She seemed to like the color orange; almost all of her outfit was in that color. It seemed a tad cartoon-ish, but it wasn’t my body so I didn’t care. A couple notable things about her were her ruby brown long hair and her gleaming blue eyes. She also appeared to have a hole in her top shaped like a heart.

Even though she looked human, that didn’t mean she wasn’t a demon or was in league with them. I still pointed my shotgun toward her head with my finger resting on the trigger. “And you are?! Or better yet, what are you?” I coldly and gruffly demanded. I wasn’t about to answer anything about myself until I know who she was and what she wanted. “You’ll die like the rest if you try anything funny.” I threatened. If it was with the demons, it was one of the most intelligent ones that could speak. I needed to let it know that I wouldn’t allow it escape or an opening to attack. I'd have to apologize later if she was human, but right now I had to assume the worst. Cruel, but effective.

"No need to hear your voice or see your face to know that you are with me."

After getting the O.K. from my partner, I nodded and started toward the shop, its gloomy appearance almost bringing me down. I heard a strange noise from behind me, and I watched as Eva ran off into a cloud of shadows, an immense figure seeming to be fighting someone within. As soon as I thought to go and help, the shadows, the figure, and Eva all vanished without a trace, and I was left alone. Instantly, I was scared. What was I going to do? Without much thought on the situation--I didn't want to spend too much time over-thinking when I could be doing something productive--I took out Eclipse and headed into the shop. If nothing else, I wanted to find out where that sound had come from before. I could find Eva later.

I stepped into the shop cautiously, unaware of what, if anything, was lurking in here, perhaps just waiting for me to turn a corner so it could strike. I heard a creek from the floor a few yards off, and I walked in that direction. It was almost pitch-black in there, the only source of light being the small luminescence of blue glow coming from my Keyblade, and even that wasn't much help. I gulped as I got to the spot where I had heard the creek, and suddenly another creek sounded off a few more yards away, over by a set of downward stairs. I again followed my ear, only finding that once I had approached the new spot, a third creek came from the bottom of the stairwell. Clearly something was trying to lure me down deeper into the darkness. And clearly I was going to find out why. I descended the staircase slowly and carefully.

Once having reached the bottom, I glanced around, noticing that now I was in a small cellar. The darkness remained still, and I could neither see nor hear anything from within the cellar around me. I let out a small breath, and I could just barely see the cold air escaping my lips. Then it hit me--the cellar was freezing cold. I was so used to conditions like this, I must've just not noticed it at first. Then something physical hit me, a strong bash on my shoulder sent me tumbling to the ground with a groan of pain. I staggered back up to my feet, swinging my head around in search for what had hit me. Then another hit, this time on my back, took my down once more. I stood back up and realized that something wasn't working for me. "Where are you?" I whispered, more as if I was asking myself than anything. After it knocked me down a third time, I stood still and tried to concentrate.

It was then that I noticed, I could almost feel where the creature was attacking seconds before it struck. I felt a small chill on my right side, and I moved my Keyblade over just in time to parry the attack, hearing the creature give off a shriek of anger as I could sense it backing away. Then I swung at the creature, and it cried out in pain. I backed up and then went to slash at it again, meeting it head-on as it cried one more time before I heard the faint sizzle of the Heartless being defeated. All that work for one little Heartless and a bad bruise on my left arm. Not good. I'd need Eva to maybe use her magic to help me, if I could even find her. I left the shop as quickly as possible, my arm giving me a lot of pain.

I was lonely now. I had no idea where to look for anything or anyone anymore, and I didn't quite like that. I looked into the distance and saw a huge castle. Maybe that might be where Eva was? Maybe not? I wasn't sure, but it seemed like a good bet. I slowly started walking toward the castle, hoping that someone or something there could help me out. I then noticed that, since I had started fighting that Heartless back there, my Keyblade's blue glow was slightly more prominent now. It was a tad more noticeable, and it felt a little bit colder, and comfortable, in my grasp. This just raised my curiosity more, but I kept walking.

I looked at the boy who suddenly turned around to face me. At the same time he pulled out his shotgun, I summoned my Absolution keyblade and pointed it at him. After hearing him ask who, and what, I was, I figured holding my keyblade up at him was not the best way to get him to trust me. I lowered my keyblade before I looked back at him. "I'm human, just like you. My name is Evera Arkwright, but others call me Eva." I said before I looked at the gun he was holding. I was fairly surprised that he hadn't summoned a keyblade. Was this guy the missing keyblader?

"Anyways, it seems like you were having some difficulty there with the gates. I'm on your side though, fighting against the heartless. If you don't believe me then that's fine; while you stand here trying to open the gate I'll be heading into the castle now." I said before I turned to the left and walked over to the other lift, which unfortunately didn't move. It looks like I would have to jump. I took one final glance at the boy before I looked away, taking a step forwards before I fell. The wind rushing up from under me, the wings on the back of my powder blue sleeveless shirt were revealed as my hair was blown up from the wind. I landed on the bottom rather gracefully before I looked around, to my luck there was the opening that lead to the Waterway. Quickly I ran inside the entrance, finding myself almost knee deep in water as I started walking through the gates which luckily were old and rusted enough for me to kick open if I needed to.

As I walked through the watery maze I stopped, another image popping into my head. I had been in this place before. I was wandering through it once before, with someone else. What was this strange feeling? I felt like I was having hundreds of doubts inside of me, but at the same time I felt determined. Maybe it was just me, after all this was my first mission after a very long time of being asleep.

Walking through this waterway felt creepy and I was starting to regret coming in here alone. I should have gone back and looked for Atharo, but instead I ended up acting before thinking - which is something I don't usually do. I began to wonder about that other boy though. Was he really a keyblader? If he was then why didn't he summon his keyblade? After all how did he defeat that heartless earlier? So many questions, but at the moment the answers would have to wait. Right now I had to find my way out of this maze and up into the castle, hopefully I would find the source as well.

[[ Haha, wrong outfit Kureno, Eva is wearing a different one. And it's red, not orange. xD lol ]]

__Beautiful eyes, beautiful lies to dull the pain_xx...

Twenty years. In reality, it was a small blip of time, parallel to my small blip of an existence in one world of many. So much time, so little time had I wasted in slumber, only to awaken to tall tales and funny stories, told from a mouse king. Mickey, he had told me, was his name. And apparently, I had an important mission on my hands, as something he'd called a Keyblade Bearer. Did this make me special? Hardly, as I was one of many. But the thought of it all warmed my chilled, tired body, all the way from my fingers to my toes. I had been giften this... this Keyblade, a weapon born of hearts and light alike, though mine resembled the delicate, the powerful flow of nature. I called it Escalus, named for a powerful tree of yore.

Yes... it seems that it was a little too much to handle all at once, but after my 'rebirth' in this strange castle, I knew that I must join the alliance of light... and save my world, and other worlds, from the darkness. Sort of cliche, but enough to keep me going by the mere thought of it. There were other keyblade bearers here, as well... although I had not met any of them at the present. I had wondered what they were like. Were any of them like me, or were they, as usual, the ones so different that they wouldn't burden themselves with my own company? There was only one way to answer this question, and that was to venture out and find them, and understand them. A certain, meager feeling of distress sounded in my head, and I left to find it's whereabouts.

Moments later, I found myself standing in the twisted catacombs of the underground waterway. The trickling of water echoed against the walls as I trudged through the tunnels, in search of something even I wasn't sure of. Something had called me here, and I was determined to find out what it was. Suddenly, I was caught aware of a movement nearby. A small, odd splashing sound echoed behind me as I pressed myself against a tunnel wall. Was there, indeed, something else in the catacombs with me?

(Sorry it took me a while, I was mentally exhausted from the studying a few days
ago. So Kureno, does your character have his Keyblade yet? I also see a hint of Devil May Cry in your character too. XD )

lTlhey just never quit, do they? Here, in this world that's referred as the Radiant Garden by its denizens, these Heartless just don't know the word 'defeat'. Well, that's fine with me, 'cause the more of them that come, the less boring this place will turn out to be. The tail of my travelling cloak fluttered up as I swung my Brake Blade left and right, mowing down the incoming Heartless as they come. "Aren't we being a little bit too peckish?" I said with friendly innocent smile to the remaining Heartless around me. Before a few of them could lunge at me, I stabbed the Brake Blade down at the ground to hoist myself up like the flag of the Jolly Roger. As I lifted my body to gain some altitude, I pulled out weapon from the floor and can down with a wide horizontal swing that caught up nearly every single one of those boogieman rejects.

Only one remained, which was, for some reason, not yielding to fear or anything else like that. Nope, this little critter seemed adamant about fleeing away. Must be the whole 'fight or flight' response, I'm not too sure if Heartless have that degree of anatomy normal animals do. Regardless of what it is, I had to admit that it was pretty admirable for something to ignore fear while presenting itself as being so menacing. "You got guts, pal. I'll give you that... Too bad I got to rip 'em out of you." I didn't wait for the creature to go on the offensive, I chose to make the first move by preparing an double-handed upward swing. Just before the creature decided to react defensively, I swung my blade upwards prematurely so I can rotate myself clockwise and end it with downward diagonal slash to the right. The b*****d didn't even see it coming, and the sound of the sword tearing through the body as easily as a pair scissors shearing through thin sheet of paper confirmed it so.

The Heartless were vanquished and I could take a little breather. Truth be told, they weren't much of a challenge, but the helped provide a hell of a good workout!! As I turned around, I found myself what appeared to be a castle with borders linking around its perimeters. With a gentle breeze swaying in my direction and cooling me off, I took a few steps forward and knocked at the wall a few times. Yeah I know, you'd have to be stupid if you'd think a wall would magically open up for you, but what I was doing here was testing out the depth of the wall itself, to see just how important was this castle to its constructors. Unfortunately, the test didn't do much and I was forced to look around the castle. There's gotta be some sort of gateway or some $hit like that around here. They say it's been abandoned for quite some time, which is a golden opportunity or me.

Why am I so anxious to get inside, you ask? Well, if you must know... I'm broke. Yup, that's right, I'm flat-out broke. Guess you can say that when you try to live in cities that are off-world, you have to be prepared to pay for the expenses, and boy did I pay for it. By the time I came to this world, Radiant Garden, I hardly had any money left over and the thought of it struck me as if an arrow pierced through my beating heart. You may not know this, but I love money. Yeah, I'm a greedy little b*****d, but I can't help. Oh, the things I could do with a million bucks! As soon as I realized I needed to stock up financially, the first thing I did was look for a job here, but none of them here aren't paying me fast enough. Fortunately, there was a shop nearby that offered huge sums of money in exchange for antiques. I thought it was great that all I'd have to do is just find junk lying somewhere in this city or outside of it. Problem was, though, was there were hardly any junk there. That's when the news of an abandoned castle nearby was like a sign to me. A castle like that is bound to have some sort of priceless junk worth thousands, if not millions. That was the allure that brought me to this particular place.

As I looked around the perimeter of this large castle, I noticed two figures in the distance, some stone-cold brunette guy and a little red-head chick. That was something weird for me to figure out, what could a teenage boy and girl be doing alone near a castle? As I thought about it, I gently swung my Brake Blade behind my back and placed it in its holster. As I pondered, the answer (or so I thought) came to me, and it was so obvious. Of course, they must be a couple who were looking for some alone time so they can do kinky stuffs together. Well, that could be possible. The moment I heard the stretch of that 'could' part, my attention shot up. It's possible that these two are after the junk and treasures inside the castle. They might steal away my meal ticket! No fair, I was stealing here first! I chose to act naturally and just walk up to them casually while letting out a friendly "Yo!". I then followed it up with a "I didn't think a place like this would be a perfect spot for a lover's hideout... How long have you two been hittin' it?"
