» σnce upon a time, there was a young boy named Sora. He lived a calm and quaint life on his little island home, laying on the warm sand and daydreaming most of the time. He had one goal though in his life; to one day leave his island home and explore the lands across the world. This goal was shared also by Sora's two closest friends, Riku and Kairi. The three planned to one day leave Destiny Islands and explore the worlds together.

Years had passed and Sora was now twelve years of age. As he laid there on the sand he awoke after having the strangest dream. He was fighting some dark creature and a strange voice continued to speak to him. He ignored the dream for that day he had finished helping his friends prepare for their departure tomorrow. Unfortunately the three never knew that disaster would strike their island that night. A wild storm had stirred and Sora found himself fighting the same dark creatures from his dream, along with seeing both his friends disappear before his eyes.

When Sora awoke he found himself in a strange town, realizing he was no longer on his island home. Together with the help of Donald and Goofy, two of the King's most loyal followers, he set out on a quest to find his friends and return home. Along the way Sora arrived at many new worlds, befriending the residents of that world and still having no luck finding his friends. It was until his final fight with Ansem that Sora had accomplished his duty of saving the worlds from everlasting darkness, but in the end he still did not succeed in his desire to find both his friends. Sadly he had to say goodbye to his friend Kairi, promising her that he would return once he found Riku who was still lost in the darkness.

» sora, Donald, and Goofy continued their journey to find both Riku and the King who remained missing. Suddenly the three had arrived at a strange castle where inside were thirteen cloaked figures, known as the Organization XIII. These cloaked figures wanted nothing more but to finish what Ansem could not do, to bring all worlds into darkness and claim Kingdom Hearts for themselves in hopes they can become whole again. Upon entering Sora had to contstantly fight the cloaked figures as well as fight his own memory that was slowly being erased and changed by a young girl in the castle known as Namine. Sora began to forget everything he knew about his friend Kairi who was being replaced by Namine herself. One after another members of the Organization began to fall, only a few remaining who fled for their lives. After Sora defeated the member known as Marluxia, Namine offered to help Sora regain his lost memories after her guilt ate her inside. So, Sora agreed to sleep inside a pod for one whole year in order for Namine to work her magic and relink all the chains of Sora's broken memories.

» тime had gone by fast and a year had passed. Within the underground lab of a mansion was the sleeping Sora and his friends Donald and Goofy. It was until a boy named Roxas stumbled upon them that Sora awoke and Roxas disappeared. During the time Sora slept the remaining members of Organization XIII continued their attempts to spread darkness across the lands. After all of his hard work, Sora was finally reunited with his friend Riku as well as Kairi who appeared in the world after Axel kidnapped her from Destiny Islands. With their combined power Sora and Riku had defeated the final member of the Organization, Xemnas, and finally returned home. The three friends finally reunited together and no longer having to worry about heartless or the Organization. Unfortunately for them the King had sent them some news. Upon reading the letter sent by the King, Sora and his friends learned that the news was not bad but indeed good, stating that their jobs as keybladers were now done since their were no more threats by the heartless and the Organization was long gone. They could now live happily on their island without worry.

» σur story does not end here though. Over a thirty years had passed since Sora and his friends returned home. Sora had ended up marrying Kairi after realizing his feelings for her and knowing he no longer would have to be separated from her. Riku ended up marrying a girl who moved to their island a year after their return home. Roxas and Namine had also gotten married to each other after their real hearts had formed on Sora and Kairi's wedding day, all because Sora and Kairi's hearts were now completed and linked together that they now shared a love for one another. Sora and Kairi ended up having a little girl. She grew up with the son of Namine and Roxas, and the son of Riku. The three became good friends and were identical to Sora, Kairi, and Riku when they were kids themselves.

» тhose kids ended up growing up, and so did their kids and their grandkids. It's now been over 200 years since then. King Mickey is long gone and now his great great grandson Mickey III is King of Disney Castle. It was this Mickey who was visited by a figure garbed in black, the figure's face unknown. The figure told Mickey about how a great evil was going to be appearing on the exact day Xemnas was defeated and Kingdom Hearts was locked. Mickey watched as the figure disappeared, the dark figure's words worrying him. It was then that he decided to call upon ten of the strongest keybladers; summoning them from their homeworld among the many worlds that existed. It is these keybladers who are known as the Royal Keybladers, keybearers who fight for King Mickey and keeping the world safe.

Eventually the ten Royal Keybladers finally came face to face with the ten Dark Keybladers, keybearers who hated the world and wanted nothing more than for the worlds to be swallowed in it. Their leader, a cloaked figure who remains nameless, had begun the war for Kingdom Hearts, the heart of all hearts. His goal was to control every heart by using the power of Kingdom Hearts.

Unfortunately though, the war between the Royal and Dark Keybladers had ended terribly. The Royal Keybladers had used ever ounce of their power to vanquish the Dark Keybladers, with the fatal cost of giving their lives up. The war had ended and Kingdom Hearts was safe...for now.

Twenty years later after that war ended though, something terrible happened. The cloaked figure had found a way to summon Kingdom Hearts and his fallen warriors of the darkness. The worlds were swallowed up by the darkness and citizens of the worlds had lost their hearts to it. Some became heartless, while others remained in their normal appearance but are controlled by the darkness in their heart, making them violent and hateful to anything pure and happy. It seemed like all was lost for the worlds and the now corrupted Kingdom Hearts. Fortunately though, a miracle happened.

The fallen Royal Keybladers were revived, well technically they were reborn, into a world of darkness. The only thing is that the keybladers have no memory of the war they once fought, the only thing they know is their names, their past life before fighting in the war, and the fact they are here to fight against the Dark Keybladers.

Now it is up to the Royal Keybladers to save the worlds one by one and vanquish the darkness that has taken control. Will the Royal Keybladers succumb to the darkness? Will the ending results repeat themselves when the war between Light and Darkness faces once more?

How many days have gone by since I awoke from my sleep? Despite what King Mickey told us all, it felt like I had been asleep for a whole month rather than twenty years. He said that all of us, my fellow keybladers and I myself, had once fought for him in a war between light and darkness. Hearing that after waking up, I almost didn't believe it. It's strange how none of us keybladers remember the war itself, yet we all know that we're supposed to fight against the darkness. Is it possible that there is a fragment of our memories from that time ago awoke with us upon awakening into the world after twenty long years of slumber? The answer to my own question was something I couldn't find at the moment.

Despite the strange news from King Mickey, he was kind enough to open his castle to us keybladers. He had given us our own separate rooms which were rather large for just one person alone. Still, the gesture was nice. Having a place where we can return to is better than wandering the worlds seeking a shelter safe from the darkness that has plagued the worlds. I still shutter at the memories that haunt me even to this day. That gruesome memory of my homeworld being attacked by the heartless, swarms of shadows running about the streets of my home as they chased down the townspeople like a lion chases its prey. I can still hear the cries and screams of the people of my fallen homeworld. What hurt the most was that it was on that dark, rainy day that I lost my father to the clawed hand of those horrible shadow creatures. Had it not been for my father and my keyblades, I would have never made it out alive. The fight to survive at that time was a strain on myself since I had no idea how to use my keyblades at the time, nor did I know anything about the Heartless themselves. The only things I knew about the keyblades and the Heartless were from the articles I read about them in the mysterious book I bought from a bookstore. The book contained information about the Heartless and other creatures known as Nobodies; showing and explaining every form the two kinds of creatures took. Everything I know about the Heartless, the Nobodies, and the keyblades, all came from that book. Had I not read it, I would probably still be clueless about everything involving the Heartless, Nobodies, and the keyblades.

I let out a small sigh as I sat there on the ledge of my open window, my left leg bent and nearly hugging my chest while my right leg was hanging on the outside. It was still early in the morning yet I was already dressed in my powder blue, sleeveless turtleneck shirt and black cargo pants. A white belt wrapped around my waist which matched the color of the small angel wings designed on the back of my shirt. A pair of white arm warmers covered half my arms. My naturally wavy reddish-brown hair was straightened today and tied back by a black ribbon at the nape of my neck.

Sitting there on the ledge of my open window, it felt nice. My room was pretty high, and to be honest I love high places because it makes me feel like I can fly. A smile played onto my face as I felt the crisp, cool air brush against my face. My sapphire eyes gazed up at the sky which was slowly getting lighter as the sun was drawing close to rising. It wouldn't be for another hour before the sun would rise, and I wasn't sure how many hours it would be before the others would wake. I was always an early morning person. The only time I ever slept in was when I got sick and my father wouldn't let me do anything but sleep and eat until I was healthy again. Those moments were fun. I stared up at the sky for another minute before heading inside, closing my window before I left my room, closing the door behind me. I made sure to be extra quiet as I walked down the halls of the large castle, avoiding the chance of making a loud noise and having it echo throughout the castle. I walked past the throne room and then stopped, looking to my left to see the garden. I was originally planning on wasting some time burying my nose in books, but for some odd reason the idea of spending my time in the garden sounded more appeasing to me.

I walked back down the hall in the direction I came from and walked down the small flight of stairs that lead me into the garden. The odd bushes trimmed to look like members of the castle were truely amazing, along with everything else the garden had to offer to its viewers like the colorful flowers, the calming atmosphere, and the peacefulness one felt when spending time in the garden. I found a quaint spot under a non-trimmed oak tree that grew in the corner of the garden within the walls of the castle. Despite the garden being surrounded by walls, the walls were not high so that the sun could not flow into the lushious green garden early in the morning. There was even a large iron gate leading from the garden to the courtyard outside the castle walls. King Mickey said we can go out there only when we're with other keybladers, since he is concerned about our safety, what with the whole Dark Keybladers running around. Apparently King Mickey had his magician, a descendant of Donald Duck, create a barrier around the castle so the Heartless or any dark being could not enter. The barrier though does not cover the courtyard outside the castle though, so we usually have to stay within the castle walls unless we have a partner with us, just as a safety precaution. We usually go out into the courtyard when us keybladers want to train and spar with each other to sharpen our abilities, but other than that we usually stay inside or we go out on missions trying to put the worlds back in order.

It's only been a week since the other keybladers and I woke up from our sleep. During that time King Mickey had us practice our combat skills since we hadn't used them in so long. It seems like after a week though King Mickey feels like we're prepared for heading out. When I wasn't sparring with the others, I was helping out the mechanics with building the gummi ships King Mickey wanted built so we could head out in them. Luckily I didn't forget my knowledge of machines so I ended up getting the work done faster than King Mickey expected the ships to be done. Since this would be our first day out, I had a feeling King Mickey would pair us up into small groups of two or three before heading out to a world. I highly doubted he would have us just charge in there and attack the Heartless inhabiting the world we go to. I had a feeling King Mickey would want us to do recon on the world to see how bad it is and possibly get more information before we go and try to rid all the darkness infesting the world itself. Some things were still unknown to King Mickey, like the location or appearance of the thing that is the source of all the Heartless appearing in that world. When I asked him what he thought, he had no clue but guessed that the source could be a door or maybe a more powerful heartless. Either way, our keyblades were an essential to the missions King Mickey would send us on.

That was for later though. I sat there and began humming to myself, trying to pass the time until it was time to assemble for the missions.

I sighed as I stared out into the dark night sky. Very few stars twinkled in the night skies over Radiant Gardens, and tonight was no exception. I brushed a lock of brown hair from my eyes and continue to stare. I could see my breath, taking shape as a formless cloud of misty white. Tonight was a quiet night... too quiet. I sighed again as I thought of the next few days to come. As soon as I started to think about them, I started to dread them. I would have to go back out in search of the Royal Keybladers again, and that would just suck. I haven't found any yet, and I didn't know when exactly I would. The countless amount of Shadows I've sent out in search of them have proved fruitless--their search efforts would only amount to mindless drivel. For some reason they had trouble searching out their pure hearts amongst the sea of darkness. Even if the Heartless could travel through corridors of darkness, something was protecting those damned Keybearers.

Getting up from my sitting position on a rooftop, I jumped down. Better to get my search efforts started early I thought to myself. I snapped my fingers, and several Shadow and Soldier heartless appeared around me. "You know the drill" I said to them. They ran off in several different directions, and disappeared into the night. I started wandering around the streets of Radiant Garden, possibly to get some sort of intell on the Keybearers.

It may seem to some that I had some sort of erratic search pattern--to just simply look in random places for these people. Actually, I did have some sort of system. What I would do is I would stay in a world for maybe a week or two. During that time, I would gather up any sort of intell or information there might be about the Keybearers. Today, in this early morning chill, was my 13th day in Radiant Gardens, and I still hadn't found anything in any sort of relation to the Royal Keybearers. Of course, this would mean that I might have to stay for a few more weeks until I actually found something. Right now, though, there was virtually nothing here except for some strange kind of ice-cream, a bunch of locals, and some crazy wizard guy who was always trying to get me to see some kind of storybook. I figured it was full of fairy tales, and disregarded reading due to the fact that I despise fairy tales... so full of happy endings, when happy endings weren't even what happens in real life... it's always a sad ending that really captured my interest.

At any rate, I knew that those Keybearers had to be out there somewhere, and I would eventually find them out myself. A few hours later, and to my dismay, the heartless I sent out returned. What got me down even more was the fact that they turned up nothing... the usual. I sighed and snapped, sending them away. I went back up to my original place of sitting, and I lied down on my back, again staring up at the sky. This time, the small assortment of stars that were out had receded, and the dark purple sky gave way to a yellow-orange glow of early morning. As soon as the sun would peek over the horizon, people would file out of their homes and get to their jobs... either selling, bartering, or buying wares in the market area I was in. Maybe that crazy duck guy selling his ice-cream would come around. He says it's some sort of family secret recipe, and that's how he gets it to taste so odd...

I wish you'd stop with that look of despair you're giving me.

"Hm. Your opponent let his guard down, and you took the opportunity to strike. Good job."

Those words echoed through that child's head forever. That was the first day of training. Alichino was so proud. Please to recieve praises for her instincts, when she had yet to be instructed in what to do. He was testing her. For seven years, she stood by that man's side, picturing him as both a father, a teacher, a role model, and also an obstacle. But she loved him. Loved him in the same way she had loved here real father. Iel had done nothing. He wasn't he one who killed them. Why he was there on the scene, sword in hand, she would never know. Perhaps he too had some grievance towards the slayer of her family. Whatever it was, he was on her side.

That day, it was like it had been for the past week. Cold, and raining. Alichino ran, shop to shop, making paper deliveries, apologizing for being slow due to the rain, and recieving responds that she was actual punctual as ever. Around five o'clock, that girl had trudged to every corner of the city in the rain. Her well worn leather boots were soaked, calf-high black socks were soaked, and if it weren't for the oversized leather jacket that didn't fit her, the long sleeved, turtle neck dress -- it was good for training, as the loose fabric cut off right near the girl's mid thigh, giving her plenty of room to move, bend, and dodge -- would have been soaked, too. Alichino nuzzled into the coat a little, hurrying home to keep the left over papers from drowning and ruining her messenger bag.

Adrenaline seemed to kick in as soon as she was home. Standing in that large, empty room, the lights burnt out as they always had been. When lightning flashed, she could see, in the corner by the row of windows, a body, with a long, thin weapon pinning it to the wall. Alichino rushed over, dropping to the ground, and patting the man's hands and face. She could still feel it in her bones, that cold, lifeless feeling. And that cackle of laughter and exclamation of "Zhevat's Independance Day". For two days, after that massacre, of Zhevat killing Iel, and Alichino killing Zhevat, that same young, horrified, sixteen year old girl sat in the corner, leaning against the body of her "father", pulling his large trench coat over one shoulder. It was hard to cope with loss, especially twice in a row. For her first father, she remembered nothing, but for the one she did remember, it brought her nothing but grief.

She wasn't too sure what time it was when suddenly, bleary blue eyes were staring at the ceiling of her room. Alichino blinked once or twice, then turned over and pressed her face into the gray comforter. Something like a cry of despair was illicited into the fabric before she flung the covers away and headed for the bathroom. Staring at the shower tile, watching water hit the floor, it was like that rainy day all over again. It seemed as if she was never able to escape what happened that day. It could all be repeated through her thoughts, dreams, and even daily actions. One hand traced the scar on her palm, left by Zhevat's blade in the act of redirecting it so it didn't impale her as well. She turned her hand over, tracing the scar that mirrored the one on her palm. How disgusting. His mark left on her skin. It was like a curse.

Out and dried, Alichino fingered her short black hair into place how she wanted, before locating her regular apparel. Black leather skirt, red leather top, red belt, and knee high, laced up black boots. A pouch for Iel's knife was fastened to the belt, and the precious blade stored safely inside. There were things to do, and people to see. Places to go, and a destiny to find. On the way out the door, Alichino paused to grab one more thing. Hanging on the coat rack was a large, oversized trench coat that would never fit the frame of a girl like hers. The sleeves were rolled up to about the middle of her forearm, and every once in a while, Alichino had to push the coat back up onto her shoulder, as she wasn't nearly broad enough to wear it. But it was precious. That rainy day, in the darkness of the abandoned school where she, Iel, and Zhevat had lived, Alichino had taken with her Iel's knife given to her at age nine, Iel's coat, and Iel's blade. After escaping that blade, the blade was erected in the earth somewhere, and given a small prayer. Often, Alichino would return to that sword, leaving a small thing like a sweet bun, and would say a prayer for her departed. The trench coat, to this day, Alichino still wore. It was the only thing she would go out of her way to have fixed if broken. That coat meant the world to her, even if it carried a clinging feeling of death and remorse.

The Bailey was such a peaceful place. Alichino went there, first, sitting in the frame of the window, staring out at the castle so far, far away. Landscape like that made her appreciate that, in those days she sat by that corpse and grieved, she hadn't actually allowed her hand to use Iel's knife on her throat. Yes, it had run through her mind. She was foolish then, though. Alichino knew for a fact that Iel could never be proud of her if she allowed his death to be the end of her life, too. It was a stupid thought, and a phase that she quickly grew out of. The young woman heaved a contented sigh, once again running her fingers over the scars on her hand. They hurt. Her hand never worked quite the same again, but she was smart enough to use her right hand and not her left. A small sigh was, once again, heaved. Alichino's mind drifted to the wear abouts of the others. Surely they were doing something constructive, yes? Well, no, probably not. But she wasn't either, sitting there in the Bailey. It wasn't a crime; It was early morning meditation and reflection.

One hand dangled loosely at the girl's side, an old knife that had seen better days settled snuggly in her grasp. Iel's knife was used for nothing other than nothing. Yes, that was exactly it. She refused to use it in any way, shape, or form. After all, use would bring wear, tear, and rust. Then she'd be left with a decrepit memory, and a chunk of metal strapped to her flank that was even more useless than when it started. Once or twice, Alichino would flip the knife, catching the blade between her index and middle finger. Then, it would be flipped again, catching the hilt comfortably. She'd practiced in such a way for years; Alichino never missed a beat, even if her attention was somewhere else as it was now. Alichino was thinking, just as every being did. Her thoughts would flow to and fro, from the old days, to now. From grievances to the day she picked herself up. Despite the traumas of those days, she was certainly no "emo kid". Admittedly, she was a little negative, but for the most part, she was deep in her own thoughts, and deep within plans. After all, the dark wouldn't be able to function properly as long as the light was around.

"No need to hear your voice or see your face to know that you are with me."

I sat there in the room King Mickey had given me; each keyblader had their own accommodations and I was grateful to him for that despite the fact that I really didn't know who he was. I rested my chin in my hand, elbow on knee, and collected my thoughts. It seemed odd to me that I couldn't remember anything about these strange wars with the creatures known as the Heartless. The last memory I could think of was the night I spent watching an eclipse with my little brother, Lezanno. I wondered where he was, what had happened to him. Had he survived the wars from twenty years ago? Had he maybe even fought in it? It seemed possible to me that, perhaps, he was still out there in one of the worlds somewhere. And I was going to find him.

That week had been...interesting, to say the least. King Mickey had let us explore the castle, and had us train in combat a lot each day. These weapons, the Keyblades, seemed to have some secret powers that I wasn't aware about just yet. I was eager to figure out their full potential, though, and use it to my advantage later on. So far fighting with them had seemed fairly easy; merely holding them seemed to increase my strength and skill, so I didn't find much difficulty in getting used to using them. Maybe part of me could still remember the past battles, still remember how to fight. Maybe that was it. Maybe my body could remember, but my mind couldn't. But why?

I stood up beside my bed, having grown tired of asking unanswerable questions in my head and wanting to get out for a little bit. We hadn't had a whole lot of time to get to know the other Keybladers, and I thought this might be a decent chance to try and do that. That been a fair amount of us. Surely out of the big group, I could make one good friend at least. That's what a needed, a friend. I needed somebody I could trust. Maybe, too, there might be one of us who knew a little more about what was going on, and what was going to happen soon. It seemed that we might be heading out soon, heading to one of the other worlds to battle the Heartless. Surely King Mickey wouldn't let us do it by ourselves just yet. I couldn't be the only one who didn't know a lot about everything.

I walked along down the corridors, beautiful as they were, I hadn't paid much attention to their intricacy and detail. I didn't take a lot of time analyzing the castle. Recently, I had been more curious than observant. As I walked, I glanced in an open door only to see a girl, one of the other Royal Keybladers whose name I did not know, sitting on the ledge looking out to the sky. What was she thinking? Was she as curious about all of this as I was? Or did she possibly know what was going on? I wanted to ask her, but thought it'd be a tad awkward to just come up and start asking her all of these questions randomly. I hadn't even had the chance to know her, so I decided to lay off for now. I saw down in the middle of a hallway, beginning to think again. I missed my brother.

I sat there in the garden thinking to myself for what seemed like hours, but apparently only a few minutes had gone by after I entered the garden.

I decided to head back inside and waste some time in my room, maybe I'll try reading that book again to see if I can learn anything new. I stumbled to my feet and stretched my arms out before heading back up the small flight of stairs and started walking down the large hallways of the castle. As I walked I began thinking of the missions King Mickey would have us do, as well as thinking up what to do when we got there to the infested world. I knew we would be put off into pairs to go and explore the worlds, but I'm sure I'm not the only keybearer who has no memory of ever fighting with the others, despite the fact that we all used to fight together against the darkness.

I remember that first day when we all gathered in the throne room. There were only a few of us who were lucky enough to awake in Disney Castle, unlike myself who apparently was found in Radiant Gardens before being taken back by Mickey. He said there were a total of ten of us, yet some keybladers have yet to be found, probably because the darkness is making it harder fr King Mickey to find them.

As I turned the corner of the hall I stopped and looked to see someone sitting there in the hall. I stood there and looked at him before I realized who he was. His name is Atharo if I remember correctly. He seemed pretty nice, but a lot of the times when I saw him around the castle he looked as if he was lost in a deep thought about something. Slowly I approached the male keyblader. "Is it comfy sitting there on the floor?" I asked, a warm smile playing across my lips. "You're Atharo right? I've seen you fight during sparring practice. You're pretty good." I said before extending my hand out to him to help him get on his feet. "I'm Evera, but you can call me Eva." I said.

"So, what are you doing sitting out here all alone so early in the morning?" I asked, somewhat curious to hear his response. I was actually surprised to see someone else besides me was awake so early in the morning. This was a nice surprise to experience in the morning for once.
