"The Idea is not to 'kill some mobians' but to in fact remove their cover." he continued walking "according to reports the mobians rely on a taktic similar to humans, Guerrilla warfare... by removing their shelter the vermin would be easier to track from the air, what do you think?"

(You do realize that they are underground which burning the land above would not be effective and won't really work)

"Remove cover? You mean like they have another base above ground like Knothole?" Mails asked while he just appeared and landed infront of Mails.

((Yeah, I know but I just was thinking by removing the foliage that the mobians entrences and thus would become more visable from the air))
Metal sonic shook his head, "no, however the foliage in this forest provides decent protection, it also hides their many entrences and exits, by burning the forest down we remove that advantage"

"Alright...wait a second." He had his mic on so Eggman could hear and listen to what he said. "He said it is worth a shot and if anyone complains we will just say that a huge army of Mobian's where forming in the forest."

"I'll explain later, once we find a way back into the underground." Sally told him. "Follow me." She ran toward the oppiaitise direction of where Mails and Metal Sonic was with Bunnie in tow.

About to follow, Jake noticed how Mako was slightly swaying from side to side... the cuts on his hands had dried, but the fox must have lost enough blood to make him a little dizzy. Jake lent a hand to the fox before they hurried after Sally and Bunnie.

Mako almost didn't realize the human, Jake was helping him, but when he did he tried to pull away. "I don't need your help..."

"You need help... your not swaying for the fun of it, I bet..." Jake said, making sure the fox didn't fall over.

Both nodded and sped up, going at a full run as they followed Bunnie and Sally.

Metal sonic was nearing the dege of the forest, he looked left and right judging the circumpherence, the fire needed to spread along the edge if it were to burn down the forest slowly verry slowly he set fires to small bushed next to dead braches as the brush burst into flame it attacked other nearby banches also setting them ablaze. Smoke was seen from the sky as he walked a little ways away desguising himself as a rock.

"Wait a minute! That is smoke!" Bunnie said as she turn to ensure they where keeping up only to see smoke in the distance. "Could they be...burning the forest?"

"They must think we may have more exits out of the underground from here. We have to stop that fire though." Sally said.

"Right, saving our skins is one thing, but the planet is far more important."

Jake looked towards the smoke and then at the tired Mako before looking at Princess Sally. "I'll help to stop the fire.... but I don't think Mako has any energy left." he said, wanting to hurry quickly so the fires could be put out and the forest saved.

Mako shook his head "I'm fine..." he mumbled, though he was abit shakey on his legs. He had used a lot of elecricity and lost blood fighting Mecha Tails, but he was too stubborn to take a break as long as he could still stand and do something.

The branches continued to burn eventually making the trunks of nearby trees erupt into flames, attacking all nearby foliage.

"Mako you really need to find cover, you don't look well." Bunnie warned him she then turn to the fire. "Well what are we going to do?"

"Right now, we need to cut the fire off from the other trees. We will need to destroy trees to save the others." Sally suggested.

"Hope Nature can forgive us." Bunnie told Sally as she tried to create a gap between the burning trees and the trees yet to be lit.
