Welcome to the Series/Miscellaneous subforum of Barton Town! ^-^

In this forum, you can roleplay anything that is not focused on Gaia. This includes non-Gaia related roleplays, as well as roleplays that have subjects such as Anime/Manga, Books, TV shows, and Videogames. As long as it fits this spectrum, you're in the perfect place to roleplay.

Things That Aren't Allowed Series/Misc


  • Spamming outside the Chatterbox Forum is not allowed. Coming into someone's RP to bump or spam useless nonsense (jibberish & images not related to RP) is disrespecting their roleplay and the users. Please respect the user's right to roleplay without meaningless interuptions.

  • Roleplays that encourage sexually explicit content or place characters in sexually explicit situations are not allowed anywhere on Gaia Online. This not only refers threads that contain cybering, but to slave roleplays as well. Any thread posted in Barton Town or any of its subforums has to follow the PG-13 rule that has been put forth for Gaia Online. Also, you may not encourage others to "take it to PMs" for the more serious stuff. Please read the Terms Of Service for more information about the PG-13 rule, as well as the Slave Roleplay part of this thread for more information about slave roleplays.

  • You may not insult any user in Barton Town, whether in or out of character. This includes making racist, sexist or otherwise discriminatory comments, or using vulgar or offensive language with the intent to harm or insult. If you continue to insult any user after they have asked you to stop, this becomes harassment.

  • If the owner/creator of a thread asks you to leave the thread, please be polite and leave without another word. Interupting someone's thread and not leaving is considered trolling, and you will recieve a warning if you do not leave when asked.

  • Stalking another user or thread after being asked to stop.

  • Suicide encouragement.

  • Repeatedly spamming a particular thread/forum.

Slave threads; How can we roleplay them here?


Series/Misc is the only forum where slave roleplays are accepted. However, that does not mean there are no rules.

  • All slave roleplays must adhere to Gaia's PG-13 limit.
  • There is to be no abuse, physical or sexual.
  • Slave roleplays may, under no circumstances, tell other users to "take it to PMs".
  • Creators must encourage following Gaia's ToS and the forum rules. If a users are posting stuff that is violating the ToS, then thread must be removed from the forum.
  • Any abuse of these rules will not be tolerated.

How to contact a mod for your forum directly.

When should I directly PM a moderator? Here are some examples:
  • Jesusbots
  • Normal bots
  • Serial spammers
  • People posting offensive images
  • People spamming off-site advertisement
  • People scam spamming
If you need to talk to a moderator or moderator assistant directly, please use the following links for your specific subforum. Click here for a more indepth description of a moderator's and moderator assistant's responsibilities.

A thing to remember, however, is that contacting a mod directly should be only done in case of emergencies. Things such as a troll invasion, or other serious matters can be directly PMed to moderators. If it's something that is not urgent, and can be done via report, please report it.

We strongly advise that you do not pm admins.

How do I report misplaced threads?


Remember, reporting is serious. Any form of abuse will result in a ban.


There are two ways to report something that does not belong in Series/Misc. They are and

You use the button when there is just one or two posts in a thread that have content that is not welcome in Series/Misc. Do not press this if the whole thread needs to be taken care of.

Reasons to report via :

  • A user makes a post which is concidered spam/trolling/flaming/etc.

  • A user who posts has a signature that is too large.


You use the when a thread needs moderator intervention, whether it be spam or a TOS violation. Please do not use this if there are only one or two posts that need to be taken care of.

How do I report Hacking/Scamming/Abuse?


These are the links at the bottom of the forum index that you can click on to report a hacking, scamming, or abuse case. When submitting a report, it is imperative that you submit all important information for the moderator who recieves the report.

  • You should click the button when your account has been hacked. That will lead you to this page. That is where you will fill out the form to submit to a Gaia moderator. Again, "... please fill out this form below to the best of your ability."

  • You should click the button when you have been scammed by another user on Gaia. That will lead you to this page. That is where you will fill out the form to submit to a Gaia moderator. Again, "... please fill out this form below to the best of your ability."

  • You should click the button when you have been abused/harassed by another user on Gaia. That will lead you to this page. That is where you will fill out the form to submit to a Gaia moderator. Again, "... please fill out this form below to the best of your ability."
