"Life, death and rebirth are inevitable."

Hotaru felt whatever had attempted to invade her slide away due to the Senshi's attack. She gave the girl a grateful smile, though it quickly faded at her words. While it would be the logical choice to run from creatures attacking them, as Senshi none of them would run away, they would fight. Except maybe Usagi, though she would eventually fight as well in her own way. Hotaru was about to question Sailor Andromeda but the senshi in question took her leave. She mentally swore, annoyed not only by the new senshi's words but as well as the fact that her powers hadn't worked.
Hotaru barely registered that Seiya had escorted her over to the shrine until Yaten's out burst. Her breathing was shallow, short so that the bruises didn't flare up in pain every time her chest rose. As Seiya took Yaten around the corner to discuss what the latter was upset over, Hotaru gazed back at the shrine entrance. They had been joined by another person, one she didn't recognize though apparently Rei and Seiya knew her from their school. She asked about their injuries as well as about the unconscious humans, though something felt off. "I'll be fine..." Hotaru muttered, though she had hoped to heal Rei and herself before someone else had arrived. "Not yet.." If this taint was, as Sailor Andromeda said, like the plague, Hotaru seriously doubted the authorities would be able to help them anymore than she could. She gazed upon them with a detached look in her eyes, as if she wasn't surprised of their condition nor really cared. Whatever concern she had was for her own group rather than their attackers.

Rei narrowed her eyes at the girl as she addressed the Starlights, not appreciating her tone. Only she was allowed to be that bossy and snippy with them and that had taken some time to get used to. They were her friends, it was allowed. This girl was a stranger with a very peculiar aura that Rei did not trust, "Who are you?" She leaned away from the girl as she examined her bruises. Rei already didn't trust people easily and this girl was different somehow from a normal person. Which only made Rei less inclined to trust her. Especially after the attack and then the appearance of that new Senshi who seemed to know so much about this "taint".

She glanced at Hotaru, who seemed to be in pain, and then back to the girl, "It's nothing serious. We were trying to figure things out before we called anyone. And then you showed up." She winced a little when she started to stand, intending to go get her phone and call for help. Someone did need to take a look at the people that were unconscious around the shrine and her grandfather would throw a fit if he learned she hadn't done anything to help someone in need. Her ribs were hurting horribly and she could feel the bruise on her cheek swelling. Hotaru didn't seem to be fairing much better. Rei wished this new girl would leave so Hotaru could heal them. Pain wasn't something she really enjoyed.

Minako rose a brow, "They're late too? Well, that's just..."

Odd. Very odd. Minako settled onto the steps of the shrine as Rei went inside to call Michiru, and probably the others. She sighed.

Artemis shook out his fur. Finally on the non high-speed moving ground. He nuzzled against Luna, thanking her for the comfort. It was then, another black cat happened by, that recognized them. Luna also seem to recognize him, but Artemis was having trouble dredging up where he was supposed to recognize this cat from. He watched the exchange between the two.

Artemis tched, "they're the other scouts!" He shook his head. Couldn't the cat tell?

Mina's head turned as the Three Lights showed up, to their own meeting, late. She shook her head, sighing. "are you guys serious. Usagi, sure. Me, maybe. But you all?" She stood from her place on the steps, brushing off her clothing and sent a pointed look at Seiya before turning and entering the shrine.

She waited for the others to enter, but something strange was going on. An odd sort of feeling made her stomach feel all weird. Suddenly there was a commotion outside and Mina, hand on her henshin pen, ran back outside, to see that five humans, had began attacking, and one had Rei in their midsts.

"Venus Crystal Make up! -- Love and Beauty shock!"

A golden whip lashed out, promptly striking the person in the hands causing them to stumble back and release Rei, but not before getting her square in the face. "Rei-chan! are you okay?"

It was then, someone new appeared. Also in Sailor Fuku. Venus stared at her, eyes wide. Who was this person? Why did it matter if they were touched? Venus blinked as the new scout explained what was with the crazed human.

A bad aura? Being taken over just from a single touch? Venus' head spinned and she sighed. This is what she was afraid of. A mysterious new enemy.

Venus henshin'd down and then settled back down on the steps. It was all too much now, and her head was spinning. She closed her eyes, putting her head in her hands, rubbing at her temples. The headache was coming on very strong now. And the worry from earlier, became stronger.

A new enemy? A new scout? What in the word was going on now?

Outai Tabibito
Sailor Andromeda

Outai glanced at both of the injured girls. The one with the long hair seemed to have a temper on her, and Outai let her scathing words fall off her like water off a duck's back. Instead, she looked the girl in the eyes - both seemed to be having trouble breathing - and spoke to her calmly. For all her tone, Outai could have been talking about a test at school the next day, and an easy one at that.

"I could ask the same of you, miss. I saw you at school yesturday, with those unconscious students. That's two days in a row. Any more than that and I would begin to think you were the one who had done that. You, or those three boys over there. Most people would be panicking, or at least making phone calls, over that, yet you show next to nothing. Very curious indeed. Neither of you are breathing very well. How are your ribs? Maybe we should send those three boys off so I can examine them. A bruised rib is bad, but a cracked or broken one can be deadly, in the right situation."

As the girl with the fiery temper crawled off, likely to find a phone or something, Outai looked around, focusing more on the younger girl with the short black hair.

"You don't look very fine to me. Your breathing is short and quick, like you're avoiding breathing normally. Is there a problem with your ribs, too?" she said as she began examining the girl for injuries, "Are all these people your friends? I recognize a few from school. Miss Tsukino and miss Aino got into trouble yesturday and earned themselves a detention."

Outai paused in the middle of her examinations, looking to find said troublemakers. She ahd seen some of these girls fighting the tainted, and the little one in particular seemed protective of Usagi. Why they would be so was beyond her at the moment - sure, they were friends, but it seemed that their efforts were all to protect her for some reason - and at the moment it didn't matter.

"Miss Aino, I believe your friend may be trying to call for help. That's all well and good, but she shouldn't be moving. Perhaps you can make the call for her."

Hotaru listened to both girls back and forth. This new girl's tone was quite irritating. She closed her eyes, letting a breath out before forcing a smile as the new girl's attention came back to her. "I was punched in the ribs, but nothing is broken, just bruising, so I'll be fine," she reassured the girl. When she asked if she was friends with the group, Hotaru nodded. "Friends and family." She kept her tone light, attempting to be polite. In all honestly if her spell had worked perhaps it would have been different. She gave its lack of effect due to the fact that she hadn't had to use that particular spell in a few years.

Mako had been just as surprised as the others by the sudden attack on the shrine. She instantly moved into action though once Hotaru and Rei were attacked, moving so she could defend Usagi, who was looking very confused, from any attackers. They couldn't let these people near their Princess. Mako didn't know what was wrong with them or why they were attacking but she knew one thing for certain: something about them was off. And that something was very dangerous. She could see it in their eyes. A good fighter can always tell the difference between normal anger and complete and utter madness. And Mako was nothing if not a good fighter.

She was busy trying not to touch the humans or injure them when the sudden barrier of light separated them. She was shocked, stumbling slightly as she took in this new barrier that could somehow keep the crazed civilians at bay. But after a moment she realized that it was not any of her own side creating the barrier. Usagi wasn't even transformed and normally things that glowed and felt so pure came from her. So Mako glanced around and spotted the new Senshi, the one the others had been talking about, and felt something strange. The girl was different but she had no idea how. She wasn't gifted with aura sensing or anything like that. Just very good instincts and the ability to listen to her instincts.

The new Senshi did something that made all of the people fall to the ground and unconscious and then just as quick as she'd come, she was gone. Mako didn't have much time to worry about her though as Rei and Hotaru began to show signs of their injuries. Rei's face was bruising and she looked like she was favoring her left side while Hotaru was breathing in small little bursts. She worried for her friends and moved to help them but the Starlights were there already, helping the two to the shrine where they could sit and rest. Rei, of course, looked annoyed at the friendly gesture. She was always wanting to prove how independent she was. Mako could appreciate strength but sometimes Rei was just stupid. Everyone needed help now and then.

So instead of helping their two injured she turned to Usagi and worked on calming her down somewhat. She never liked seeing her friends injured and tended to start crying. Mako soothed her, telling her everyone was fine, just some bumps and bruises. It really wasn't all that bad compared to some of the things the two Senshi had been through. But Usagi was pure and kind and worried endlessly over her friends. Mako admired that about her friend. She had the purest heart out of everyone Mako knew. Yes, all the Senshi only wanted to help, but Usagi was different. She was kind to everyone, no matter what. Even to the enemy. That was how she saved Galaxia, she turned her back into her old self. Mako thought that out of all of them, Usagi was the strongest because of how kind she was. Even if the girl couldn't see that for herself.

When the new girl showed up Mako frowned, a strange sense of deja vu settling over her. But it was gone quickly and Mako shook it off. She turned to the unconscious people that until now she hadn't paid much mind to. They were all used to unconscious people right after a battle. It really didn't even phase Mako anymore. Yes, she was worried for them and yes, she would ensure they were taken care of. But it was no longer anything new. They were breathing, that was really all that mattered. As long as they weren't dead, Mako believed they would recover perfectly fine.

Michiru had felt something coming the moment she and Haruka reached the top of the stairs but it wasn't until the crazed civilians were launching an attack that she realized what it was. These humans gave off a strange aura, a feeling about them that was very wrong. Haruka of course, was quick to pull out her Henshin wand, as was Michiru. They were never ones to stay out of a fight. Especially not when the Moon Princess was smack in the middle of it. But before they could do anything a new Senshi, the one Rei had mentioned over the phone no doubt, was casting a strange spell that created a solid barrier of light, effectively separating Usagi from the crazed people.

Michiru slipped her Henshin wand back into her bag, Haruka's quickly vanishing into her pocket, so this new Senshi would not see. Michiru wasn't sure who she was yet and she did not trust her. She seemed oddly familiar, the way her braid fell down her back reminding Michiru of someone, but the images would not click into place and she quickly dismissed it. The cirlces that formed on the ground were odd, somehow familiar and yet alien at the same time. But once they were there everything seemed to be washed with peace and purity. Clean and new. It was a wonderful feeling and Michiru found a small smile playing across her face. She glanced to Haruka, who's small smile mirrored her own.

The new Senshi was gone before Michiru had a chance to say anything and then there were wounded to tend to and a Princess to console. Michiru turned to Haruka, discussing what exactly could be happening in hushed tones so the others would not hear and become overly worried. Michiru continuously glanced at Hotaru, knowing Setsuna would not be happy when the girl returned home bruised like that. Michiru had seen how motherly Pluto was to their young comrade. Rei was not fairing much better and Michiru wondered why Hotaru had not healed them yet.

Of course, before she could say anything the girl from the auditorium yesterday, Tabibito-san, was walking up the steps and entering the shrine grounds. She immediately moved to the two injured girls who were now propped against the shrine wall with Taiki looking over them while Seiya spoke Yaten off to the side. Michiru wondered where the girl had come from and why she did not believe she had accidentally stumbled upon this scene at such an opportune time. She was having a lot of strange feelings today and wondered just what exactly was happening. She hadn't felt this uneasy since the battle with Galaxia when she had died. And even then, the uneasiness wasn't quite as strong as it was now. Things were becoming too confusing for Michiru's taste.

Taiki and Seiya exchanged looks as the girl spoke to Rei. She still hadn't introduced herself but they seemed to be running into each other often, and each time right after a battle with this elusive new enemy. They both realized this and suspected that she probably either knew that Sailor Soldier... or she was with the enemy. Yaten would certainly advocate the latter hypothesis given the girl's attitude with the three of them thus far, Taiki thought, crossing his arms over his chest. He looked around and noticed that Michiru and Haruka had shown up. In all the commotion they had missed their arrival. He was glad to see them again and would have to extend a greeting when he got the chance.

The new girl suggested the boys leave so she could examine Rei and Hotaru's injuries. Taiki scowled and dropped his arms to his side, giving Outai a dirty look. "There's no need for you to concern yourself. It's frankly none of your business. We have capable people here; their injuries will be tended to."

"She was just concerned, Taiki," Seiya chirped in, masking the fact that he felt the same way. Rei had begun to get up to make a call since it appeared Outai wasn't going to let things be. Outai even gave out orders to Minako, which irked the three of them. Who did she think she was? Taiki leaned over and lightly touched Rei's shoulder. "Hino-san, you don't have to push yourself. Let me go make the call." It occurred to Taiki that Rei was a very hard worker. He hadn't gotten enough chances in the past to speak to her and find out.

Seiya got up and smiled at Outai, patting Taiki's back and nudging him toward the shrine. "It's okay if he gets ice too, right, Rei-chan? For you and Hotaru-chan. And while he's in there he can call an ambulance for these people." Taiki sighed and took his shoes off, entering her home to make the call and also to go find ice as per Seiya's suggestion. Seiya figured it was probably better to humor Outai than to argue with her. Since Seiya and Yaten were, in fact, boys at the moment, he also figured that it would be odd of them to hang around if Outai insisted on giving the girls a check-up, and so he pulled Yaten over to the far side of the shrine to sit down. They would still be close enough to help Rei and Hotaru if Outai tried anything, and Taiki was just inside.

Yaten sat on a nearby bench with a 'hmph,' placing his elbows on his knees and his chin indignantly in his hands. Seiya let out a heavy sigh and sat himself down beside Minako, running his hand through his bangs. He was exasperated. Looking at the blonde girl beside him, he tilted his head thoughtfully.

"Minako-chan, you weren't hurt, were you?"

Rei didn't like this girl so far. Not only did something about her feel off, but she wasn't turning out to be as nice as she'd originally acted. When the girl said that she could believe Rei did this she stood abruptly, wincing sharply at the flare of pain in her chest but working to ignore it, "I had nothing to do with this. Do you really think I would be sitting here, hurt, if I had? I don't know who you think you are but you obviously aren't a good judge of character!" The outburst left Rei feeling drained and ready to collapse but she didn't sit back down or show her weakness. Not in front of this girl she knew nothing about, "And I'm fine. I would rather have them here than you. I don't know anything about you and they are my friends."

When Taiki patted ehr shoulder, telling her he would handle calling the authorities, Rei shook her head, "I need to get away from her before I strangle her. You can get the ice and I'll make the call. I'll be fine. It's nothing serious." Rei turned and headed for her room, where she could make a call to the authorities and have the unconscious teenagers taken care of. However, once she reached ehr room and had the door firmly shut, she slid to the floor and tried to focus on breathing around the pain in her ribs. She refused to show weakness in front of that girl. She barely showed it in front of her friends. A complete stranger had no right to see her like this. She sat with her back to her bed for a few minutes, merely breathing and trying to calm her aching bones. She felt that one may be cracked and one was definitely bruised, if not two. Nothing serious. They would heal in time and if that girl left then Hotaru could heal them even faster.

She grabbed her phone and dialed the local authorities, alerting them to what had happened and asking that they send over help immediately. She left out the part where she and Hotaru were injured. No point going to the doctor if they could just be healed easier. The paramedics needed to focus more on the unconscious teenagers in her front courtyard. Once the call was made Rei sat there, her head tipped back and her breathing shallow. She wasn't really in the mood to make the trip back out there right now. As long as that girl was there she wouldn't feel comfortable. Something about her was so strange but Rei couldn't pinpoint exactly what it was.

Michiru did not like this new girl as much as she had yesterday. Something about her felt off somehow, something she had not noticed yesterday. The way Haruka was watching her with guarded eyes made Michiru feel that even she had noticed the odd feeling surrounding Outai Tabibito. Add in how she was treating their comrades and Michiru found it even harder to trust this new addition to their home. She knew the moment Outai finished speaking Rei would not be happy and as if one cue the hot-tempered Senshi stood and snapped off a quick remark before turning toward the shrine.

One of the Starlights, Taiki she believed, told her he would handle it but of course Rei was Rei and refused the offer of assistance. Michiru felt that maybe it was better for the fiery girl to wait inside. She did not think she could hold her temper much longer. Of all the Inner Senshi, Rei had the worst temper and the most trouble controlling her anger. Michiru felt that was due to her element being one of the most volatile and violent of them all. Fire was not something to be played with. And Rei was not someone to be talked down to. None of them were really, Rei just tended to be more outspoken about her anger over it.

She watched as the miko entered the shrine followed by Taiki and then as the other two Starlights moved around the side of the house. She and Haruka would be staying right here where they could keep an eye on their youngest comrade. Setsuna would probably kill them if anything were to happen to Hotaru. And Michiru would never forgive herself if the girl was harmed in any way when she could have done something to stop it. Haruka moved so she was sitting in Rei's previous spot, just behind and to the left of Hotaru, and kept her eyes glued to Outai. Michiru was not so obvious in her distrust, instead moving to Outai's side, "Do you mind if I help you examine her, Tabibito-san? I think it would make her more comfortable to have a familiar face close by." Her tone was nothing like Rei's. Michiru was never very good with anger. Instead she sounded kind and concerned and sincere. It was the tone she used most often.

Mako wasn't so sure about this new girl. She didn't trust her but she didn't distrust her completely either. It was an odd sensation, to feel both of those things at once. But she didn't see how judging the girl before she really knew her would make much sense. So instead of getting in on the whole argument between her and Rei, Mako moved to Minako's side. She settle don the steps, Usagi settling in beside her, and leaned back on her hands. She watched the clouds in the sky and listened for approaching sirens signaling the arrival of help.

When Seiya and Yaten joined them Mako wondered how Hotaru was fairing. At least Michiru and Haruka seemed to still be with her. She didn't like leaving her friends alone with strangers. Even though they were all very capable of taking care of themselves she still didn't like leaving them to protect themselves. She just couldn't. It wasn't in her nature and they had all learned to live with it. She tended to be a little more protective of Usagi. Even though she had the most power out of all of them she was also too trusting at times and could end up befriending the wrong person if she didn't have someone there to look after her.

She glanced over at Minako when the two Starlights inquired if she was injured. She hadn't noticed any injuries on the blonde but you could never really tell for certain without being told. She wasn't good with noticing injuries, perhaps a little too used to them after dying so many times. She sighed a little. She really shouldn't be accustomed to dying during every major battle. Maybe with this new enemy, for once, she would survive the whole fight. That would be a new experience. It would probably be really amazing too. But she also knew that if dying meant protecting and possibly saving Usagi's life then she would do it without a doubt.

Outai Tabibito
Sailor Andromeda

Outai wanted to growl, and only partly at herself. The girl with the long hair was being very rude, as was one of the boys, though the guy with the black hair seemed to understand better than the rest. She gave him mental credit for that. For that matter, Michiru seemed to handle it pretty well, too, though the others were silent. The girl with the short black hair had gentle words and and kindly look, but her demeanor was belied by the tightness at the corners of her eyes and mouth. Obviously it was an effort to appear kindly.

Then it hit her. She had been very rude, in questioning them rather than answering their simple question - though the way it was put was less than polite - and had been giving orders. She vaguely remembered being much different, but it was like a dream of a dream. Outai sighed in frustration, though most of it was for herself, before standing and brushing off the knees of her blue jeans.

"Please forgive my actions." she said with a polite bow. "I have been very rude and bossy, and though it was not my intention to be so, it is not an excuse. Instead of answering you, I gave a rude reply, and was giving orders where I had no business doing so. For that, I humbly apologize. In answer to your question, my name is Tabibito, Outai, and in spite of this situation I am pleased to meet you all."

Outai nodded to Michiru. Everyone seemed uneasy around her, and she had expected no less. Even if she had not been so rude and bossy, they would have been uneasy around her. Everyone she ever met had been uneasy around her, and only she knew why. Even then that knowledge was fairly recent, and surprising. It stood to reason - uneasiness around her aside - that the injured girls would prefer a friend to examine them rather than a stranger with doubtful knowledge in the medical field.

"Please do, miss Kaioh, and thank you."

Outai knew she had more than over-stayed her welcome - if she had had any to begin with. She knew she should leave, and though it might be taken as rude to leave right now, they might not appreciate her staying any longer than she already had. So, with that in mind, she turned and made her way back down the steps, away from the shrine.

"Life, death and rebirth are inevitable."
"I am known as the Soldier of Destruction because I have been given the power to destroy whole world. But when I use that power, even I have no escape...But. Along with death... Hope and rebirth begin."

Hotaru sighed, grateful that Haruka came and sat next to her. While she was normally very patient with people, the pain from the bruises and the fact that her spell hadn't worked left the girl in state of irritation. At least with Haruka next to her, Hotaru wouldn't really have to talk. Her gaze did rise, staring at the Starlights, as Seiya pointed out they should probably get ice. Finally though, it seemed that the girl had gotten the message and apologized for her behavior. Granted, probably all of them should apologize to her as well due to their hostility.
After introducing herself, the girl left, which Hotaru was grateful for, but she could hear the sirens in the distance meaning she had little time. The girl stood with Haruka's help, preferring to heal herself and Rei inside just in case. She walked inside the shrine, finding Rei in her room. "The girl left.." Hotaru said, kneeling beside Rei and placing her hands on either side of the girl's bust. She could heal herself later, as it looked like Rei was in more pain than herself at the moment. She closed her eyes, again surrounded by a light purple aura as Hotaru cast the healing spell. Hotaru moved one of her hands to Rei's cheek, letting the healing take effect there as well. While there would be still a small indication of a bruise on her face, the swelling and pain would be gone.
Once done, Hotaru sat back, allowing her healing spell to incase her as well. Finally she was able to breath normally as the flares of pain were finally gone.

Rei was starting to drift off to sleep, her mind relaxing as the sun soaked into her skin through her window and the lulling sounds of bugs and birds echoed around her. It was relaxing, knowing all of her friends were here and everyone was safe. Plus the aura that Senshi left behind was still lingering over the shrine grounds and Rei was enjoying just letting it wash over her. Her eyes started to slip closed and her body relaxed more and more, her head resting on her mattress now. Today had been too crazy already and she hadn't even left her home. New enemies always made things more complicated and much more dangerous.

And then someone was coming into her room. She looked up to see Hotaru walking in. When she said the girl left Rei had mixed feelings. She didn't particularly like the girl but she also didn't want her to think she was completely unwelcome among her friends. She was new, it was never easy to be new. But there wasn't much she could do about it now so she just nodded, "That makes things a little bit easier."

She sighed out as Hotaru healed her. The removal of her pain was an amazing feeling, her whole body relaxing more so now. She felt like sleeping for days now but instead she pushed off the floor and stretched luxuriously, enjoying how pain free it was. She smiled over at Hotaru, yawning slightly as she did, "Well, I think we need to get that meeting started. Will you go get everyone else while I fetch Taiki. We don't really need that ice anymore."

Eventually finding the kitchen where he could get ice, Taiki had done so and put the cubes in a couple of small plastic bags to bring back out to the girls. Of course, he had heard Hotaru could heal minor physical wounds so he hadn't been too concerned, but it would be problematic if they didn't keep up the charade in front of Outai. She had turned out to be quite shrewd and observant of their actions. He shook his head and began to walk back out. They'd have to really stay on their toes around her. Unlike Seiya, however, Taiki and Yaten had no intention of making friends.

He reappeared at the shrine's door and looked around questioningly. The two injured ones were gone. Yaten looked up at him.

"Hino went inside for a moment. Hotaru-chan went in too; I think she has some useful ability to heal them."

Taiki nodded, setting the bags of ice down. "I vaguely remember hearing about that. It would be better if we put on more of an act, but..." That mysterious girl was gone.

"Tabibito left," Yaten said with a heavy sigh. "That's her name. Tabibito Outai."

"Ehhhh, Hotaru-chan can heal things like that?"

Taiki and Yaten both stared at their leader, who had been slow to pick up on that bit of information. Seiya blinked, clearly surprised.

"I didn't know. Hotaru-chan will be a good mother, won't she?"

He then received even more incredulous looks from his partners, so he attempted an explanation as to his thought process.

"I mean... You know, because kids get hurt often, right?"

"..." Slowly Yaten's hand covered his mouth. What a simple, dumb thing to say. Even though he had been in the most depressed, sour mood, he realized he was fighting off a smile. Even Taiki seemed to be pursing his lips in an attempt to keep a straight face. Whether they knew it or not, Seiya was definitely the core of their group's morale.

"Idiot," Yaten finally said, successfully reversing his facial expression. Seiya only chuckled in response, then turned to Makoto, Minako, Usagi and Ami.

"I believe we should head in, ladies. I also believe Mako-chan should cook lunch for us sometime," he mentioned casually with a wink in her direction. He'd had her cooking once and it was definitely among the best things he'd eaten here on Earth. As they stood to go inside, he offered his hand to Minako, who had been sitting beside him.
