Rei was so distracted with finding her friends that she nearly collided with the tall male who was looking at her like she was a mirage. She skidded to a stop, her mouth dropping open and her eyes widening. The last time she had seen him he was saying goodbye and leaving for his own planet with his own Princess. Why was he back here now? And were the others here with him? Rei glanced around, but she didn't spot either one of his usual companions. She turned her gaze back to him, "Taiki-kun?"

She had the sinking suspicion that he and his fellow Starlights were here because of the darkness that had begun to surround the planet. And if they could sense if from their home then it was much worse than Rei first thought. She really needed to find the others. She knew Mina was around here somewhere and Usagi should still be here. Ami was probably at cram school by now. That strange magic outside had distracted her for too long. Hopefully Mako would still be wandering the halls around here. She glanced at the girl's restroom door, "Are you waiting for someone?" It wasn't like Taiki to just stand outside a girls' bathroom. Unlike his fellow Starlights, Taiki was refined and had manners that most boys his age didn't.

Rei hadn't been as close to the Starlights as the other girls. Especially Mina and Usagi. She knew Seiya had been head over heels in love with Usagi but Usagi was blinded by her love for Mamoru. And sadly, Seiya had left here with a broken heart. While Mina had definitely had a thing for Yaten she'd never really acted on it. Sure, she had followed the boys around like their own personal manager and flirted with them constantly, but she never made a move. Rei secretly wondered if it was because her heart was still broken. Rei could understand that. Boys could be so unbelievable troublesome. She bit her lower lip, shaking her head to clear the distracting thoughts. She probably looked like a complete idiot right now.

But deep down she was still worrying over what she'd witnessed and wondering why the Starlights were here. It's not that she didn't like the Starlights, they were all very nice and fun to hang out with. But she was Rei after all and she tended to worry a bit about things and then spout sarcastic comments to hide the fear was feeling inside. She couldn't help remembering the last time the Starlights were here, when Galaxia was wreaking havoc on their world and stealing Star Seeds. She had died alongside her fellow Senshi back then and it had been so excruciating. The worst death she'd experienced yet. She really hoped the Starlights being here once more wasn't an omen. Because if it was, she felt like it would not be a good omen.

Cinder-Mina?!

Well, that was one way to put it. She was indeed... very... harsh. Evil was much to strong of a word, because Mina has SEEN, and DEFEATED evil before. She shuddered at the many memories that flashed through her mind.

"An appearance, you say?" she said with a slight scoff, relaxing her shoulders. She then smiled, "well, yes, you have. But I won't say this was a bad one. Just, more hilarious than courageous, or whatever."

However, HOWEVER, when he had called her 'Cinder-Mina' her facade was lost to a fit of giggles. It really did seem much like that. And unfortunately she had been reduced to this.. state. She sighed, "I was late this morning. Horribly; seems Usagi has rubbed off on me."

She crossed her arms over her chest, rolling her eyes. "What're you doin' here anyways?"

Outai Tabibito
Sailor Andromeda

To keep up the appearance of innocence, Outai had flushed the toilet of the stall she had hidden out in, just in case. It was better to be safe than sorry, even if no one was in the bathroom at the moment. However, as she stepped out and began to wash her hands, a young man barged into the women's bathroom. It was one of the three she had saved from that horde of insane fangirls, the one with silver hair and a missing sleeve.

"Do you have no shame at all?" she said, making her voice sound angry. "This is the girl's bathroom. If you need to use the toilet so badly, you can go to the boy's bathroom. I cannot abide a peeping tom. And for your information, there was someone here a moment ago. I didn't see them, but I heard the door open. When I came out, no one was here. Whoever it was probably went through the window."

Outai heaved an inward sigh of relief that the window had been open already. It wasn't a very big window, but it was big enough for a person to crawl through, if needed. She didn't let it show, though. She made herself look angry at the gall of this young man rushing into the women's restroom. After all, it was fairly obvious he had seen her cast her spell and followed her in here. She made a mental note to thank Mooney later for the acting lessons.

"Since you're here," she said as she threw away the paper towel she had used to dry her hands, "You can explain to me what that was all about. All those girls chasing you and your two friends. I presume they are gone, or you wouldn't have made it this far."

Yaten couldn't believe it. He couldn't believe this girl... or himself. Outai had stepped out of a stall and, to his disgust, immediately started chastising him and branding him as a peeping tom. His face flushed red for a moment, realizing that he already forgot he wasn't a girl anymore. He had charged in under the assumption that he was still Healer. This male guise would take getting used to again...

"D... Don't assume things!" He obviously couldn't explain his situation well, but his momentary embarrassment was enough to make him give up on finding that mysterious Sailor Soldier. "I was only chasing some suspicious person." At first, he might've entertained the notion of Outai being that very Soldier... but that couldn't be.

"Hmph. And the ruckus before is because we're former celebrities." Fists clenched, he turned and left the restroom muttering under his breath. "Any other girl would've been happy..."

Out in the hallway, Taiki turned to greet the dark-haired priestess as she skid to a halt before him. It really was her.

"Hino-san, how are you?" He might've offered her a smile if the situation weren't dire. After all, the Starlights had grown fond of the Inner Senshi during their previous stay and they had parted as friends and allies. It was actually quite nice to see her again... Rei then asked if he was waiting for someone.

Coughing lightly into his fist, he glanced toward the restroom door. "No, Yaten is--"

"TAIKI! How could you let me do that?!" Yaten barged out and swatted the taller Light's arm. Then he noticed Rei and blinked. "Ah, Hino. Long time no see."

"I wish our reunion could be under a happier circumstance," Taiki continued. "Just now there was some sort of strange energy hanging around some of the students, but a Sailor Soldier we've never seen before healed them and escaped. Yaten was chasing her, but..."

Yaten gave him a look that said 'don't you dare laugh'. Taiki raised his eyebrows and snickered. "... We only just arrived moments prior and haven't adjusted to these forms yet. You understand," he explained articulately, minimizing Yaten's thorough disgrace.

Upstairs, Seiya was removing his slightly wet uniform jacket and tying the sleeves around his waist. He brushed off his white T-Shirt that was underneath for good measure and watched Minako giggle uncontrollably to herself. This girl.

When Minako asked why he had returned, however, any good mood Seiya might've been in started to melt away with the harsh reality. His expression darkened slightly as he began making his way to the classroom door. "..." A hand came up and rested upon it, remembering...

But his troubles visibly vanished from his face, having burying them for the time being. Not that it was healthy per se, but he didn't know quite how to deal with the overwhelming loss at the moment. Instead, he opened the door slowly and took an elegant bow, one of his arms extended toward the hallway and a charming smile plastered on his face.

"All will be explained in due time, Princess Cindermina, If you'll accompany me downstairs. I apologize for my brash entrance. Allow me to make a more gallant exit."

Outai glared daggers at this boy. Chasing suspicious people or not - even herself - it was no excuse. Girls did not go charging into boys bathrooms after someone suspicious, and boys should not do the same.

"Suspicious or not," she said as she lead the way out of the bathroom. The boy was left with the option of following, or staying behind in the ladies restroom. "you should at least wait until they come out, or something. And being a former star gives you no excuse for being a pervert. Though that does explain the crowd, and your missing sleeve. Perhaps I should have left you to the raving fangirls?"

Usagi dragged her foot away, although she wasn't exactly hurt on any basis, she ended up dragging herself away at any rate. Although she found it rather appalling that the rate of enemies arising from earlier was a little too strange, but then again, when she managed to collect herself, she found that the enemy has already dissipated, and by the looks of things, this new sailor that Seiya had mentioned earlier did something to cause the evil to vanish, in a way. Although she knew that most of the evil spirits never actually vanish, they're just relieved of their inner darkness, in away. Despite all of her previous thoughts, she had the mind that the new sailor was here to help them out in a way. There was a small feeling inside of her that felt the joyous just blooming, knowing that there will be a new sailor who will come and join them, as well. This seemed like the ideal fix, in ways.

As she made her way down the stairs, she found the other standing there, looking like something grave had just elevated. Somehow, the presence of most of the people had already been relieved of, predominantly by the case of the students going home already, but either way, the tension in the air didn't really sit well, or rather, sit right with her. There was a very sinister--should she say that? Did it sound fitting--outlook about the place she couldn't well ignore. It was very uncomfortable, but Usagi knew by the looks of things that this was only the beginning of a new era of evil rising about to replace Chaos's frantic destruction from the months past.

Despite being like that, she maintained a positive attitude, or as positive as she could possibly manage, she walked her way to the hall where everyone was standing, and took notice of one extra person--other than the usual Outai-san who had not left yet (she would take this note down for further analysis later), and Rei, who had situated herself in Juuban High. Rei had probably felt the evil, Usagi thought, and no doubt would come running to and fro--obviously due to the aura. It was what she was good at, for sure, and Usagi had somehow envied her for her spirits.

But now wasn't the time to be sentimental random stuff! She collected herself from her thoughts and jogged over beside Rei, who was standing and talking--or it seemed awfully like talking--to the starlights. The blond tapped Rei lightly, mostly from the beaming expression on her face--a little joyous goes a long way--and giggled. "Rei-chan~" Jovial and all--she only called out, a little happy cry.

And even though her behaviour isn't exactly proper for today's happenings, she decided to go along with it, even though the tension in the air probably hadn't lifted yet, and probably Rei would lecture her about being serious for once, but Usagi knew, deep down, of what exactly was at stake here, and the situation that had unfolded in front of them--there was going to be a big war, so unless they manage to halt the process, the catastrophic events will begin very shortly. The mere sound of that sent chills down Usagi's back, but in order to be a soldier--

--there would be a lot of hunting going on.

And she hated it. Whatever the case was--she was going to take it jovial way. It has helped her--it will again.

Usagi turned around to see Outai coming out--she had noticed that a little moments ago, but the problem still stood. What exactly was she doing here? She shook her head and focused on the group. "What happened?"

Rei smiled and gave small nod, "I am doing well. How are you?" Out of the Starlights Rei always found that Taiki was the easiest to talk to. He was definitely the calmest out of the three and perhaps the least flirtatious. He kind of reminded Rei of a male Ami. Speaking of, where was Ami? And the others? Where was everyone? The school wasn't normally this empty when Rei showed up. She wondered if there were more students passed out around the school because of the strange cleansing she could still feel thrumming through the building. She wanted to know who did that. She glanced back to Taiki, "You guys aren't responsible for the cleansing of the school, are you?" If she remembered correctly that wasn't one of their powers but things change over time and it had been a while since she'd seen any of them. Maybe they figured out a cleansing ritual she had yet to stumble upon. Not even her Akuryō Taisan seemed to work on this new darkness. This strange virus type evil.

She jumped as Yaten came bursting out of the girls' restroom. shouting at Taiki for letting him go in there in the first place. Normally, she would have laughed at the look on Yaten's face but she felt it was not appropriate given the current situation. So instead she only giggle a little and nodded to Yaten, "Hello Yaten-kun." She turned serious though once Taiki spoke again. She had to agree with him, she wished they could reunite with them under much better circumstances. Evil was never a good reason to come back together. She knew it was only a mater of time before they started seeing more of Michiru and Haruka. Maybe even Hotaru and Setsuna would show up once more. They all kept in touch, they were all Senshi after all, but Rei felt as if she'd seen less and less of their friends recently. His last words caught her interest, "A new Senshi? And you saw her?" This was indeed very interesting news. It wasn't often that a new Senshi showed herself without Luna or Artemis already knowing about them.

She turned back to Yaten, "So you forgot you were no longer a girl huh? That was very smart of you." Now she did laugh a bit. Yaten was the next Starlight she found the easiest to talk with. He was not quite as eccentric as Seiya but he wasn't quite as calm as Taiki. Yaten was more like a mixture of herself and Mako. Well, that's how Rei felt at least. She would never tell anyone though, if Yaten or Seiya found out they may find it offensive. She didn't want to offend them when they already hardly ever saw them. So instead she smiled and laughed and pretended she was mean old Rei-chan. Speaking of the nickname her Princess dubbed her with. A finger tapped on her shoulder and Rei turned to find said Princess beaming at her. Rei let out a small sigh and shook her head, "Why re you so happy, baka-Usagi? This is not the time to be acting so careless! There is a new evil and a new Senshi we know nothing about! Be serious for once!"

She didn't really like yelling at Usagi but she felt that if she didn't, no one would and then their Princess would become too laid back and then the world would probably perish. She couldn't let that happen so she played the meanie and lectured Usagi whenever she felt like she needed to. Usagi was her best friend though, like her sister really. She looked up as a girl stepped from the bathroom and cocked her head to the side, who was this new girl? Usagi's question made her own unneeded. She looked to Taiki and Yaten once more, "You never said why you were here? Has something happened?" She almost hoped they were only here because of what was happening in Tokyo but her gut was telling her it was something much, much worse.

After Outai finished her little tirade, she finally had a chance to look around. She knew she would find some students conscious, and some not - which inevitably would cause a stir around those who were not, and a stir with those who were and had seen the spell - but if she was going to keep herself hidden she had to act like a normal person. She put an expression of shock on her face, and grim determination - she could do nothing about the sadness in her eyes, and she couldn't bring herself to change it even if she could - before running up to a group of unconscious students. She had to push through a group of students that were talking to each other as if nothing were out of the ordinary around them - one of them was a young woman in a uniform from another school, who was really quite pretty, and another was the blond girl with the buns on her head, with two young men who resembled that of the young man who had rushed into the ladies bathroom without a care - to do so, but she made no apologies. How could they not tell there were students who needed help?

"What happened here?" she asked fiercely as she bent to check the pulse of one of the students.

The person was breathing, and had a pulse, but that was the only life left in them. This one must have been the original girl who had lost it and spread the taint to the others, and she must have been harboring the taint for some time for her soul to be so completely gone. The others, though, would be fine - the worst one would have holes in his memories to make swiss cheese jealous, but the rest would only have a headache and would not be able to remember what had happened prior to being tainted.

The floor was done. As done as it could be, at least. She was done with the smell of bleach anyways.

And with Seiya soaking up most of the water into his school uniform, it was pretty dry too.

She heasitated at the dark expression that covered his face one moment, and was gone the next, and any good senshi knew that meant trouble. Disaster had happened again, she didn't need to pry. She frowned slightly, half skipping towards him and looping an arm around his, a gesture of comfort.

"You may make a more gallant exit, good sir, let's find the others. I presume the rest of your party has probably met up with the rest of mine, no doubt."

Seiya, finding Minako's cheerfulness a welcome distraction from his thoughts, let her take his arm and gracefully escorted her down the many flights of stairs like she was a princess. Having been Kakyuu's personal escort at many royal events in his past, it was something he was very used to doing. When they finally reached the bottom, he looked down the hall and saw everyone gathering. He gave Minako a light pat on the back and walked over to the group with her.

While talking with Rei, Usagi appeared out of nowhere and greeted her fiery friend. This was the first time Taiki and Yaten had seen Usagi since they left years ago, and both were a little surprised that she wasn't more ecstatic to see them. Nevertheless, Taiki nodded his head toward the chipper girl. "Nice to see you again, Tsukino-san. You look well."

Yaten offered a small wave. "Hey again, Tsukino. I hope Luna's been doing alright." Both of the Lights slowly looked at each other. Usagi had come down the stairway Seiya had went up, so they must've already met. Seiya... He hadn't said a word about Usagi in years, but they could tell he never stopped thinking of her. How was he taking it...?

Outai made her presence known when she saw the numerous students laying about unconscious on the ground. She fiercely demanded to know what happened, clearly outraged. Yaten sneered and turned his head away from her, but Taiki had no grudge against the girl. Still, Taiki wasn't exactly known for his trusting nature and did find her a bit suspicious himself. Perhaps the girl knew something. He was ready with an answer for her, in any case.

"It seems there was some kind of trouble. We're not sure exactly what happened, but a Sailor Soldier showed up and helped them." It wasn't a lie; actually, it was pretty much the whole truth, and Taiki figured the general populace was familiar with the band of mysterious female soldiers who had been protecting Tokyo from strange incidents for years. Not that any of them knew who this new one was... "Rest assured, we'll contact the police before we leave. There's a payphone outside, right?"

These three were still stuck in the past, obviously not having been on Earth for a long while. Payphones, honestly.

Taiki turned his attention back to Rei, who asked them exactly why they were here. Yaten shifted uncomfortably. It was something that was difficult for any of them to say out loud; they could hardly believe it was true themselves.

"We're... It's..." Yaten tried, but his hands started to tremble nervously. Kinmoku... Kakyuu...

"It's not talk for a school hallway," Seiya said as he walked up, rescuing Yaten from trying to explain. "Yo, Rei-chan!" He playfully messed up the top of Rei's hair. The Inner Senshi were like little sisters to him in a way. "I see you're still busy being Odango's keeper." Taiki and Yaten noticed Minako tagging along beside their leader.

"Good afternoon, Aino-kun."

"Hey, Aino." Yaten, despite everything, managed a small smile for her. The two had reached a mutual understanding of each other in the past. "Glad to see you're well."

Seiya looked down at Rei and like a proper leader took control of the situation. "Rei-chan, about why we're here... We'd like to discuss it with you girls in a better setting. Mind if we meet at Hikawa Shrine tomorrow at around noon? We have some business to attend to tonight." Lifting his gaze, he smiled at over at Outai. "Thanks for 'saving' us earlier. I take it you're not exactly a crazed fan of ours."

Rei hoped Usagi would know to keep her mouth shut in front of this new girl they knew nothing about. And apparently, who cared a great deal about the safety of all the passed out students. Rei may not know her but she liked her already. Just a feeling she had. This girl was good, kind. Definitely not part of the taint slowly spreading throughout Japan. Rei watched as she went around, feeling for pulses and noticed the way she seemed to pause slightly over one girl in particular. She cocked her head to the side, wondering what was different about that girl. Focusing her mind slightly she could still feel the cleansing in the air and around the girl the magic was particularly strong, like she had needed more than the others in the way of cleansing. Rei wondered if maybe she had been infected longer than the others. And if so, how bad had the taint inside of her been? That was the scary part of all this. They didn't quite know everything about this new taint yet but they did know that if it was left unattended for too long then the host became a shell. They had a pulse but they were somehow absent. It was disturbing really.

She nodded as Taiki spoke to the girl, hoping she would not become too suspicious. The truth was, they were all a little too used to seeing bodies on the ground. Many of their former battles came with too many unneeded deaths and sorrow. Rei always hated to see innocent lives end in the name of evil. The worst was when Galaxia was on a rampage. That had been their toughest battle yet and this one was quickly shaping up to be just as bad. They had no idea where the taint was coming from or who was causing it. Right now, there was nothing they could do. But this new Senshi, the one who cleansed the school, she could be a very useful ally. They needed to find her and convince ehr to become one with them. They had done it before with Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and Saturn. Rei was certain they could do it once more. A healing Senshi was one the team greatly needed right now in the face of this crisis. Rei didn't say anything when Taiki mentioned payphones. They had cell phones now, "I will call for help right away."

Rei felt a pang shoot through her heart as Yaten stumbled over an explanation as to why they were here. She had a feeling it was not because they missed their friends. She didn't like seeing the people she cared about hurting, it was never much fun and only made her feel worse. Sometimes she would pray for her friends at her shrine, wishing them nothing but happiness and peace. But it had been some time since she last sent up a prayer for her Starlight friends. She placed a comforting hand on Yaten's shoulder and gave him a soft smile, "Whatever it was, we are all here for you. We're friends, right?" Normally, she wasn't so obvious with her affection but sometimes in moments like this when her friends seemed to be in so much pain she couldn't help but let her hard facade slip a little. She felt they needed comfort the most in times of such great distress.

She turned as Seiya and Minako made their way toward the group, smiling at each of them in turn. Of course, that smile quickly turned into an annoyed scowl when Seiya ruffled her hair. She glared up at him, "You're so annoying, Seiya-kun." She didn't really think he was all that annoying, he was like a big brother to her, but she really hated having her hair ruffled like that. It was just an annoying habit of Seiya's. She huffed, took one calming breath, and nodded slowly, "Yes, my grandfather should be out shopping tomorrow so he won't interrupt us. I hope everything is alright?" She wondered what they could possibly need to do the day they came back to Earth, but she didn't question them. Maybe they had to find a place to stay or something. They were always welcome at the shrine but she doubted they would ever accept her offer.

Outai Tabibito
Sailor Andromeda

Outai gave the young man an incredulous look. She knew what he was talking about, but if she let on that she knew, he would become suspicious. Besides, there were unconscious people all around them, yet none of them had done anything. Most people would be exclaiming over the bodies, at the very least, but they had been conversing about something serious, and not quite related to the bodies on the floor. Some of what they said, some of the nuances such as the look in the young, platinum haired young man's eyes, made sense. Could they know about her, but are not letting on? It was possible, and she didn't like that idea. She still wanted to know why they thought nothing of a group of students lying on the floor, and for all the care they showed the students could have been dead.

"Sailor soldier?" she asked, making her voice sound curious on top of incredulous, "What is that? And all I know of you three is that you have a large gathering of fangirls here. If any of them remember my face later, life will become very complicated indeed. Have you ever seen someone interfere with a fangirl and her idol? It isn't pretty."

Outai hadn't just lingered on the one girl. She had just been the first one Outai checked. As she spoke, she checked the other students as well, checking for breathing and a pulse.

"I don't know what kind of trouble could have caused all of this, but it may have drawn a lot of unwanted attention." Outai cursed softly to herself. She was wasting her time, and she hated that. "These students are fine, or so they seem. Their breathing and heart rate are regular. I don't know why I am wasting my time here. I'd rather not be here when the authorities arrive."

With that, Outai stood and brushed her skirt off, though it didn't really need it. Picking up her book bag, she made her way towards the entrance of the school.

The sound of her violin danced out across the empty auditorium, calming her mind and letting her mind drift aimlessly with the music. The sound of a violin was always the most beautiful in her opinion. That and of course the sound of her constant companion's voice. She smiled elegantly as she played, her violin's music growing louder as she continued playing. Elegance and beauty. The only things in life that were truly calming. She found her eyes slowly opening as she played, looking out over the auditorium seating. Haruka was sitting in the front row, her blue eyes relaxed as the music wrapped around her. She kept playing, enjoying the way her companion's face seemed to lose all tension as her music sang out. She enjoyed the notes that seemed to come to life as her bow moved across the strings. The way every note sounded more elegant and beautiful than the last.

Her name was Michiru Kaioh and she was Sailor Neptune. A soldier of love and justice, elegance and beauty. She smiled softly, the thoughts making her mind drift back to the past. To a time when her services were needed more often than they were now. Ever since the Moon Princess returned, bringing with her a renewed hope she and Haruka had thought vanished along with the Moon Kingdom, things had been much more peaceful on Earth. Galaxia possessed by Chaos had been the final true test for the Senshi and they had come out victorious. The battle had been hard and ugly but their Princess had performed spectacularly. Even when all the other Senshi were killed and all hope seemed to be lost, their Princess stood tall and elegant in the face of their greatest enemy yet. That was when Michiru truly felt pride swelling in her heart for the clumsy and sometime very ditzy Princess. She and Haruka were meant to have died that die. Together, holding hands and without a single regret. But here they were, two years later, doing the exact same thing they'd been doing before the battles and the joining of the Inner and Outer Senshi.

Outai Tabibito
Sailor Andromeda

Outai made her way out of the school building at last. She knew Mooney would not be happy that she was so late - much less at her casting such a huge spell; she knew he had felt it - but he would just have to deal with it. She had had some...delays that kept her after.

As she approached the gate to the school, a small black cat with a golden crescent moon and star on it's forehead met her there, looking up at her with blue eyes.

"You're late." he said.

"I know." she told the cat as it jumped up into her arms and climbed up on her shoulder. At least that way they could talk without it really looking like they were talking. Mooney would fall silent if they passed anyone, but for now they spoke in low tones, meant for each other's ears only. "There were some delays. A bunch of fangirls went nuts over some new guys - one of which is a pervert - and one of them was...ill." That was they way it was put in public, even if no one was around to hear. "She gave her cold to everyone else around her, and it would have left the school if I had not done something about it."

"You must be exhausted. That was a big fix."

"More than you know. Will you take care of dinner tonight, please? I know it's my night to cook, but I will be going to bed early."

Suddenly, the keening cry of a violin whispered to their ears, and Outai couldn't help but follow it's sweet, mournful sound. The song itself wasn't quite mournful, but a violin was commonly used in description of self pity or sadness, and not completely without reason. A violin could make the blandest songs either happy or sad, sometimes both in the same song, in the hands of a master, and whoever was playing was damn close if they were not a master.

Outai followed the sound to an outdoor auditorium, consisting of a huge stage with a ceiling that could extend or fold back according to need and weather, with rows of concrete benches and chairs forming a semi-circle around the stage. On the stage was a young woman with oddly blue hair that fell in waves around her shoulders, playing a violin. In the front row was another person, though whether male or female Outai could not determine from that distance. Whoever it was had sandy-blond hair cut short, and was wearing what looked like a business coat.

She could not bring herself to walk on by and not listen, though. The song was so beautiful, played so masterfully that Outai had to stop and listen. She took a seat a few rows back, near the aisle, and set her book bag on the chair next to her. Mooney promptly curled up in her lap and began purring as she began to pet his ears while nodding her head in time to the song.

Michiru noticed a girl enter the auditorium, one she had never seen before, but for the moment ignored her presence. She was nearly finished with the piece and she knew how much Haruka liked this song. Son she played on, the haunting melody singing out over the stone fixtures that would normally hold hundreds of people. She could just imagine it. The crowds, the eyes, the applause. She yearned to feel the thrill of a live performance again. Over the past two years she had performed in many major concerts and had conducted many solo performances. But it had been months since her last real performance. Perhaps it was because the oceans were so uneasy. Restless. Something was coming and if the oceans could not rest then neither could Michiru. They were a constant presence in her mind, thrashing or lolling they were always present.

She frowned slightly, the melody she played becoming slightly more disturbed, more eeire and yet even more elegant. It was when she twined her emotions into the music that she truly felt it was beautiful. Only true musicians could convey their every thought through a single note and she liked to think she was one of them. Finally she came upon the last note and with one final saw across the strings, her bow came to a rest. She let her eyes slide back open, not having realized they were closed, and turned her gaze to Haruka. Her blonde companion was smiling as per usual after Michiru played. Michiru lowered the violin from her shoulder and turned to the girl with one of her usual serene smiles, "Hello." She descended from the stage slowly, careful not to bump her violin on the railing and walked to the case which sat beside Haruka who had turned to face this new girl. Her head titled to the side, "What's your name?" Haruka was not quite as elegant sometimes and tended to be very blunt. Michiru smiled apologetically at the girl.
