Outai Tabibito
Sailor Andromeda

A bright flash of light lit an abandoned alley, occupied only by a few garbage cans, a stray cat or two, and now the body of a young boy. He appeared only to be in his mid-teens, with raven black hair, and what one would suppose to be nearly black eyes that would melt most girls' knees. Or rather, they had been. Now they stared up at the sky, completely blank and devoid of life. There was no injury on him that anyone could see, and he was breathing, but that was the only sign of life to him.

Forest green eyes stared at the boy for a moment, and if one looked closely, one might think that regret had flashed in them. An errant breeze blew a few strands of ebony hair into a pale face that contained those forest green eyes, and was quickly pushed behind an ear with a white gloved hand. Green eyes closed in a quick prayer for the boy's soul, before black boots laced in gold turned and walked away, leaving the boy to be found by whoever happened to wander by. She couldn't risk detection, not yet.

"Everyone, we have a new student today." The teacher said to her class.

Next to her was the new student, with forest green eyes and ebony hair pulled back into an intricate braid. She did not wear the uniform for the Juban High School because, as it turned out, they did not have any her size. She was taller than any other female student in the school, just a few centimeters shy of one hundred eighty-three centimeters, though fit for her height. This girl even appeared to be taller than Makoto.

"I am Tabibito, Outai. Please, treat me kindly." The girl said.

Something was off about this girl, though. She was not ugly - far from it; she was really rather pretty, though not so much or so graceful as Michiru and Haruka. She was very tall, but that wasn't it either. Perhaps it was because the girl did not smile. Really, it looked like smiling was beyond her capabilities. What she must have gone through, to be so sad, to have so much pain in her eyes?

The new girl took a seat next to Ami, her focus on the chalkboard in front of the classroom, where the teacher was already writing down the day's assignments. Something about that girl made people feel uneasy. The way she held herself...It was almost like she was a born fighter with a violent nature. Well, one should never judge a book by it's cover. She was probably used to having to stick up for herself against those that would tease her about her height.

Late.

She really hated to be late. But it seems that Usagi had really rubbed off on her over the last few years.

Okay. Maybe she'd always been like this, but she'd sworn to get better for high school, sworn! But it seemed to be that even she couldn't escape the warm, cuddly confines of her blankets and pillows. And even with all the poking and prodding by Artemis, she just didn't rise. It was only when her phone began to buzz with text messages, was when she finally sat up, rubbing her eyes, and looked at the clock on the wall.

It took maybe two or three seconds for the time to sink in, her phone forgotten, whatever the messages were, but she was rushing about, dressing, brushing her hair, putting in her trade mark bow, and slipping on her shoes as she dashed out the door, slice of toast on her mouth. She arrived at the school gates just as the last bell rang, groaned and ran into the school, down the halls, and bursted into the class room.

Successfully interrupting an awkward silence that had settled over the class. The teacher looked at her and sighed, "Miss Aino, this is the third time this week."

"I know, ma'am, I'm sorry," Mina looked to Usagi who had her face hidden behind a folder, but she could tell she was holding back laughter.

"I heard the horror stories from Mrs. Haruna that it would be Miss Tsukino who would be late all the time, but I see that even some people can change. Some for the worse, some for the best. Please, take your seat."

Minako sighed, knowing that meant she probably had detention tonight, and she sunk into a seat across from Usagi, throwing a heated playful glance her way, reading "I. Blame. You."

Usagi didn't come out from behind her folder.

Usagi lowered her head at the sight of Minako entering the room late, and cringed when the teacher had berated her blond friend about being late. Usagi herself had gotten to school early that day--primarily because she couldn't really sleep the night before. It wasn't insomnia, far from it, actually. Probably because of something she had felt the night before. She decidedly shrugged it off, but if not for her plaguing dreams, she would have slept in and would have been late like Minako. It was strange--Luna had said nothing about anything related to the dream, as Usagi thought that perhaps her little feline guardian didn't really know what happened, or didn't consult the queen for assistance. Now that Chaos had been official sealed--or supposedly, because it returned to everyone's hearts--she hadn't much to worry about.

It's ironic now the lesser she had to worry about, the less she had to sleep in. Perhaps because she was so tired relentless when it came to battles. It was a strange phenomena, but she shrugged it off all the same. She could worry about all that later, she had all these surrounding social aspects to worry about and take care of--particularly when she was at the last year of high school with college or university waiting for her at the end of the road!

She saw from the edge of the binder that Minako had given her a glare--unfortunately, it seemed like Usagi's bad habit had somehow transferred from her to the other blond. Usagi really felt bad for her, since Minako seemed to be on the receiving end of all her bad habits. But who knows? Maybe Usagi would be the one late tomorrow--

--Ah, let's not jinx it. Hopefully, both of them would arrive on time.

On the subject of on time, she had taken a notice of a student coming in--a new student. She said her name was Outai, Outai Taibito. The girl had came off as rather aloof and cold, like Haruka and Michiru once were when they were in their senshi forms. Perhaps it was the loneliness in her eyes that had taken Usagi by surprise, and yet, the forever lone soldier aura she emitted hadn't made her feel shocked, but saddened. How could a girl like her hold so much pain and remorse? It was as though there was a very sad story--a very lonely yet violent past. Usagi couldn't help but feel extremely empathetic, and like Makoto once was, she would go and befriend the girl, much like she did all her friends. Usagi had given her a smile once she came in, but it was probably gone off unseen, however, she'd keep on going anyway.

It was something she was willing to do for someone like her. Perhaps Outai would be able to smile for once. A small but gentle smile appeared on her face as she poked her head out of her binder, still under the heated glare of Minako--unforgiving, but she knew it meant no harm.

"Psst--" She cupped the side of her face, the one facing the teacher. "That Taibito-san looks like she needs some cheering up." Her eyes sparkled a bit-- "Let's do something?"

Unfortunately, it hadn't gone unnoticed by the teacher, who called on Usagi, and gave Usagi a very stern look. One that Usagi couldn't help but wiggle uncomfortably under. It was one of those things where Usagi couldn't help but pray to whoever was listening to spare or, or something like that. Ms. Haruna did the same thing, too, but not as serious as that heated stern look the new teacher had given. Oh boy--she understood the pressure Minako was put under for being late.

Class had been disrupted by a blond girl who had suddenly appeared, apparently late. Her blond tresses were long, and partly tied back with a red ribbon, and she looked mortified. As she took her seat, Outai had seen her shoot glares at another blond girl with two buns atop her head with long blond hair falling from the buns, blue eyes meeting glaring blue eyes in amusement. According to the teacher, one or the other of the two was always late, possibly both. She had even heard the one with buns on her head whisper something to her late blond friend, but she hadn't quite heard what it was. Whatever it was, it got her a scolding from the teacher. She put it out of her mind, though. It was not her business. There were more important things to be about, like the lesson on the board, and planning later.

The day had seemed to drag on for her - the lessons had not been bad, and homework was not that bad either, but she had more important things to worry about than school at the moment - and when the final bell rang, Outai had to keep herself under tight control to keep from throwing everything in her bag and running out. As much as she wanted to do just that, she paced herself, putting everything in her bag at a leisurely pace, as though she had nothing better to do at the moment. After all, there was no reason to draw attention to herself, and every reason not to.

Once her notebooks were all in her bag, she reached behind her back and pulled something off her shirt. She had felt the person behind her stick something on her shirt, no doubt thinking they were being sneaky. They really had not been, and it took tight self control to keep from spinning around to defend herself. She had not really done that - if anything, she schooled her appearance to make it look like she had not noticed anything amiss - but when school finally let out, she plucked the paper from her back and read it. "Kick me", it said, and she couldn't keep from rolling her eyes at the childishness of it all. Well, it was not worth her time. She crumpled it into a tight ball, and tossed it behind her, seemingly without a care for where it went, and it conveniently hit the student behind her - the young man who had put it on her shirt in the first place - on the head. She ignored his grumping as she stood and turned to leave the room to go home. She was anxious to get her homework done so she could do some planning, and some searching.

Diamond stars quietly glittered amongst the black waves of the primordial sea.

No matter how eloquently worded, no language could describe the haunting beauty of outer space. To the three soldiers who had been traversing its expanse for months on end, however, the awe-inspiring view was nothing more than a repetitive, somber backdrop. They traveled along in silence, streaking through the solar system like colorful, rogue shooting stars. Each wore a tired, sorrowful expression. What had these three to be happy about? It seemed that tragedy and fate had conspired to tear them back down whenever their spirits were too high.

Again. It had happened again, afterall. Their home planet was... no more. Sailor Star Healer rubbed one of her eyes and sadly watched the backs of the two silent women in front of her. They had just passed the planet Neptune but no one had said a word.

"... We're here, aren't we?" she asked in her slightly raspy, light voice. A deeper voice responded, sounding just as fatigued.

"One hundred and twenty trillion miles above the milky way's equatorial plane. Twenty-eight thousand light years from Sagittarius A*, Orion arm. Yes, this is... the Sol System." Sailor Star Maker glanced back at Healer with lidded lilac eyes, then looked forward at her leader. Star Fighter hadn't said anything the whole trip.

Soon enough, an immense swirling sphere of blue and green loomed before them, glowing with an almost welcoming light. The Starlights paused, reminiscing. It had been a long time since they left Earth, and now they were back again... It seemed surreal. Like something out of a dream.

Their descent through the atmosphere was slow and rough, but their power shielded them from disintegrating. To them, they were floating slowly to the ground, but to anyone who happened to be looking, it would seem as if three stars had fallen right towards the ground at light speed. Three pairs of black heels clicked lightly on the pavement as they landed.

Tokyo. This was unmistakably Tokyo, Japan. Sound and light suddenly flooded their senses and overwhelmed them for a few moments, but when they became used to it, they gazed nostalgically at the city they had once resided in. Car horns blared, people chattered, trains sped by... The scents, the sounds, the colors...

Fighter released a quiet breath.

"C... cold!" Healer spat out. Maker and Fighter turned to look at the shorter Starlight, who was already shivering and clasping her bare upper arms to hold in warmth. A kind of pathetic sight. "W-why is it... so... cold?" Maker rubbed one of her own upper arms as well, hiding a small smile.

"It's autumn right now, it appears. We'll have to get used to it... But before that, we should change before someone sees us. Fighter, isn't this near Juuban High School?"

Silence.

"... Fighter?" Maker tried again, then touched her leader's shoulder. Fighter jumped and stared up at her, looking bewildered.

"Ah... You're right. This is Azabu-Juuban crossroads," she finally replied in her low, smooth voice, gracefully removing Maker's hand from her shoulder and taking a few steps forward.

Fighter couldn't feel the cold. Her blood was pumping through her veins, her heart pounding like a drum. "She" was here. "Her".

Her gloved fingers pressed the star-shaped brooch at the center of her chest, and in a flash of light her Starlight uniform dispersed. Warm power flooded her body and morphed it into that of a male's, complete with the school uniform he had worn so long ago. Although the burden of sorrow and loss still weighed on his slender shoulders, he imagined the group of happy girls he used to spend his time with and started to become a little thrilled at the idea of seeing them again.

The other two had also de-transformed into their male alter-egos, much to the chagrin of Yaten, who had always hated the form. Taiki began to lead them toward the gates of the school, but the bell suddenly began to chime. Taiki paused.

"School is over. We're a little late to go in, but hopefully we'll catch them as they come out." Seiya and Yaten nodded in agreement, peeking around the corner. Students were beginning to file outside, walking past them slowly. Girls seemed to stare at them as they walked by, whispering furiously to each other. Taiki glanced at one girl who was staring at him from across the sidewalk and she went running.

"..."

Yaten raised an eyebrow. "Is it just me, or are people--"

"KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA---!!"

The three boys all leaped back at once, colliding into each other. They stared in sheer terror at the girl in front of them who had screeched like a howler monkey at the mere sight of them.

"Th... Th..." she stuttered, dropping her briefcase and pointing at them shakily, "THREE LIGHTS!!"

The switch was flipped.

All those who had stopped to stare at them suddenly recognized the trio and a literal horde of screaming, shrieking teenage girls barreled toward them like a herd of elephants, unconcerned with the poor soul who got in their way.

Seiya, Taiki and Yaten exchanged horrified looks and made a mad dash for the door to the school, their only savior.

Due to his shorter stride, Yaten was the unfortunate one whose shirt sleeve was caught by one of the girls in the herd behind them. Taiki and Seiya's eyes widened when they realized Yaten was being pulled back. They ran faster. Yaten gawked, literally ripping his sleeve away from the girls and stumbling after his two so-called friends who had left him behind.

"What the hell, Seiya?! Taiki!!"

Thankfully he caught up, but girls inside the school were now falling all over them and screaming. A small group of girls threw themselves on the floor in front of them, but Seiya was ready and jumped over them like an agile leopard.

"This is like a freakin' safari run," he panted, turning a corner. Taiki and Yaten caught up once more, hurrying along behind him as if their lives depended on it.

And they probably did.

Outai Tabibito
Sailor Andromeda

There seemed to be a commotion in the hallway as Outai made her way to the front of the school to pick up her outdoor shoes. Normally, she would ignore it, and she had begun to do just that. However, the closer to the front of the building she got, the closer to the noise she got, and the closer to the source of the noise.

Ahead of her, Outai found what seemed like half the school's population of girls - and even some boys - surrounding three people in a uniform not provided by Juuban High. All three had short hair, with the exception of a long tail in back, and seemed to be popular. Their images tickled a memory, but she could not grasp it, and thus did not recognize. Besides, the noise was beginning to give her a headache, and though she almost felt sorry for those three boys - all three handsome and trying to run from the crowd, one with a sleeve of his shirt missing - it was not her business. She had seen someone interfere with fangirls before and it had not been pretty. Still, the noise was deafening, and the feeling of putrid evil seemed to be drawing nearer somehow. Was someone in the crowd tainted? She hoped not. Things could get messy if that were the case.

Suddenly, one of the fangirls in the crowd chasing the three boys grabbed her head, like she was in pain. She was nearly overrun, but soon recovered herself. Unfortunately, that feeling of putrid evil grew stronger, and she could feel it spreading to the others who were around that girl, and those around them, and the girl began thrashing about, beating at the students around her. She even had one girl by the throat. It seemed things were going to get messy after all.

Outai had to think fast. There were quite a few tainted already, though not overcome. Still, if she didn't take care of it now, the taint could eat them away until nothing was left, and she wanted their souls as whole as possible. As the three young men ran past her, she took two of them by an arm and spun them off to the side, as graceful as though it had been a dance, into an empty classroom. Just as she released their arms mid-spin, she took the third by the arm and spun him into the classroom as she had with the other two.

"Hide!" she said firmly, before closing the door behind her.

Outai herself jumped into another empty room, one with a window on the door that was clouded so no one could see inside clearly, and the only other windows being ones facing outside, where fortunately no one was around.

Outai didn't wait. She shoved a chair under the handle of the door before taking what looked like a long pen with a black shaft from her pocket. On the end was a sparkling white star burst, surrounded by a golden spiral-arm galaxy.

"Andromeda Galaxy Power, Make up!" she said as she raised the pen above her head.

Dead black ribbons seemed to twist and twine around her body, covering her from head to toe as she seemed to curl in on herself. Suddenly, though, she uncurled, and the black ribbons seemed to pop almost like a balloon, revealing a golden skirt and cape, a white bodice, and dead black ribbons on her chest and back. A black collar graced her neck and a golden tiara on her forehead. Affixed to her tiara, collar, front bow, waist, and her earrings was a golden crescent moon cradling a golden star balanced on one tip. Dead black boots covered her to just below her knees, tied with golden laces, and her shoulder pads and under skirt were a filmy black material, with black rings at the tops of white gloves that reached her elbows. She held her hands out forward with the stick, and it seemed to glow white, elongating until it was a staff a few inches taller than she, with a golden crescent moon lantern dangling from the top end, held diagonally across her body.

Outai kicked the chair out of the way of the door before rushing into the hallway.

As the three former idols rounded the bend at full speed, Seiya spared a moment to look behind them and survey the situation. Something felt... off, but he couldn't place a finger on it. Taiki and Yaten pulled ahead of him, rounding yet another corner to escape their teenage hunters.

Just as Yaten took a step into the new hallway, a girl much taller than him-- taller than Taiki, even-- seemed to appear out of nowhere and grabbed both his and Taiki's arms. Yaten was immediately displeased by the contact and glared at her sharply.

"Who do you think you a-- ahh..!" Yaten, as light as he was, was practically whirled into a nearby classroom like a top, Taiki following shortly after. The taller Light glanced into Outai's forest-colored eyes as he was thrown ontop of his petite ally. There was a resounding "oof."

"Yaten, are you alright?" Taiki held the edge of a desk and pushed himself up, offering a hand to the silver-haired boy below him.

It was only a split second later that Seiya also ran into the mysterious girl, and before he could even blink, she had likewise tossed him into the classroom and ordered them to hide. He tripped forward and crashed into his friends, once again resulting in a heap of celebrities on the floor.

"Wh.. Who was that?" their dumbfounded leader inquired, rubbing his head as he sat up. Yaten sighed heavily, frowning at his ripped sleeve.

"I can't believe these people..."

"She did save us, though," Taiki reminded them, looking out the window at the commotion. Seiya stood and walked over, eyebrows furrowed. He could feel it again, and when he caught Taiki's eyes, he could tell that he felt it too.

"That same feeling we had before our planet... was consumed," Taiki said quietly.

Yaten was beginning to look perplexed, and a little sick to his stomach. He had always been slightly more privvy to supernatural phenomena than his friends, and this feeling was overwhelming him. "It's that putrid darkness again. Seiya, what if..." Bright green, worried eyes met calm, dark blue ones. Seiya shook his head and offered comforting words.

"It didn't follow us here. It couldn't. It's probably been here..." His thoughts drifted to a certain dumpling-headed girl and her friends. He could never forgive himself if they had brought this darkness with them and put those girls in danger.

A Sailor Soldier dashed by the door's window, and Taiki immediately slid it open and stepped out. He hadn't seen that uniform anywhere before.

"Taiki, Yaten, follow her and find out what's going on. I'm going to find the girls," Seiya ordered, brushing by Taiki and running up the next flight of stairs.

Where could they be? he wondered.

This was her punishment.

Minako, stranded in detention because their teacher was totally twenty percent more harsher than Ms Haruna ever was, signed as she scrubbed at the floor with the brush she had been given, not a mop, a brush. She ceased brushing the floor for the moment, glaring heatedly at a scuff mark she knew was put there by one of her class mates, intended to make her suffer, and swiped at the sweat on her brow.

A commotion of sorts caught her attention from outside, and she pondered on going to see what it was, at least, until she heard someone outside the class room squeal:

"The Three Lights!! They're here!!"

The brush dropped from Minako's hand, and she hesitated. Should she run to great them? She would be stuck in detention for the next three months if she abandoned this now. But wouldn't it be worth it? Where had they gone since they'd last seen them? What had they done? What we're they doing back? Back here of all places.

Curiosity getting the best of her, she rushed to the class room window just in time for the said superstars to run off into the building.

...we'll, they're in the building now. What do?

She looked to the mop bucket on the floor.

Ami really wouldn't approve of this. It had been her, that had talked Minako into actually even showing up at this barbaric task. Had they even known who she was! She wouldn't be doing chores!

But that was the point of being a secret super hero.

To act human until she was needed.

No matter what else.

She sighed, plopping back down onto her knees and taking up the brush.

She really hated having a conscience. Maybe with her luck, fate would just bring them here? To scuff up her nearly clean floor, but, here, so she could confirm her thoughts.

Usagi hadn't realized when the bell rang, but when she did, everyone had already packed up and gotten ready to go. The day had ended just like that, and no surprises for her, either. Even though she had almost despised the lack of surprises in her life, the subtlety that had came to settle down in her life had been part of her daily routine, and moreso surprises didn't really come into hand nowadays. She couldn't help but choke back laughter knowing Minako had to stand in for detention that day, knowing that it's fully rude to laugh at someone's else's pain. Detention wasn't exactly something she had hoped to aim at every single day of her life, like before. She swore she would change, but her homework habits were still on the lacking side. She would deem herself stupid and dumb, but she knew that she had potential to reach high. She had almost given herself a reason to aim high, since Mamoru had came back from his supposed medical school training, in which during the process, he had his heart stolen--literally--by Galaxia. To which wasn't her fault because Chaos had taken possession of the poor soldier's life. At least that's been dealt with, at the current moment. She didn't have to worry too much about it, did she? It wasn't as though the enemy was going to spring into action right this moment--

Gosh, Usagi, stop jinxing yourself--! She berated herself strictly, and whatever the case was, she hoped that nobody up there would hear her unfortunate talks and send something down here for her to look at--at least, hopefully not anything menacing--again? She would have to berate herself further for jinxing herself a second time.

Without further ado, she walked out of the classroom, a worried look given to Minako before being bombarded by thousands of screams of something--a name--that she hadn't heard in ages. Well, not ages, but it's been a while since she last heard the name pass the earth. Although she was sure she didn't mistakenly heard something else other than 'the three lights', to which her eyes widened at the sound of the voices in the halls--maybe there was some promotion going on? Were they selling the newest edition of the Sailor V game already? She would have to confirm with Minako later on, but still--

                      --Given the situation...

She had mistakenly ran into a bunch of crazed people, and her heart throbbed. It was one of those things when she knew something bad happened, given the aura of the people she was surrounded by. Her heart sank, her mind raced. Did something else strike the planet, other than Chaos? Had it been revived due to some complications? What happened? The nasty air loomed, the atmosphere turned cold instantly. It was one of those days when she knew that hell had broke out. Either the starlights came back with some amazing looks--or it was time to consult the powers of the moon.

She knew she shouldn't have double jinxed herself earlier. What a situation she had landed herself in. The irony of it all was almost uncanny and most definitely not hilarious to be laughing at--not even drily. It was just probably her most jinxed days of the year, and she had already landed herself somewhere she didn't want to be in. Mamoru wasn't there to save her, most certainly. She had to become independent!

However, she couldn't transform here--no, not here. Given the situation and the circumstance, she couldn't risk being seen by a mob of angry or excited people. There was just so much at stake here. Without hesitation, she started to pick up her pace, her legs dashing forward, hoping to find anyone who had either witnessed the situation or something. Either that, or find an empty classroom whereby she could transform. At least, she could be given that. However, during the process, she had ran into the corridor, and dashed down the hall--there had to be something along the lines of escape route, right?

                      Or something!

Whatever the case was, she descended down the hall, down the stairs, down the halls again--this was turning into an endless maze of crazy--the school had never been this confusing. Were they under the compromise of the enemy, given the setting? Her heart raced for an answer, but given none at the current moment, she kept on running until she bumped into someone--some things never change, do they?

Although that someone turned out to be someone familiar, as her eyes widened in shock. She knew that the starlights were here--according to the screaming devotees upstairs--but she didn't expect to bump into them--at least one of them--so quickly. Well, what a small world this is. Or school! Earlier, she had felt that this school was a complicated labyrinth. Well, it was now or never--

"...Seiya-kun?" Well, look what we have here.

                      --tt..!!

Screw the introductions, skip the reunions, and get straight to the point, Usagi! "--Ah..what's going on?"

Seiya, light on his feet, had bounded up a flight of stairs in record time. What in the world was going on? Were Usagi and her friends safe? Were they even here anymore? With all the craziness going on, he doubted if he'd ever find them even if they were--

"Oof." Spoke too soon.

The moment he reached the top of the stairs, a small-framed girl had heedlessly swung around the bend of another flight of stairs and run right into the former pop idol. He was about to maneuver around her and keep on going; that is, until he got a good look. His heart almost stopped right there. He gripped the girl's shoulders and looked hard at those wide, very familiar blue eyes.

Nostalgia and long-buried feelings washed over him like a wave as she spoke to him.

"You," he breathed, astonished to see her in the flesh although he had been searching for her. For the first time in what seemed like forever, he genuinely smiled, his dark eyes alight with joy in spite of the crazy situation.

"Odango," he laughed, using his affectionate pet name for her. Strong arms easily lifted the blonde off the ground and spun her around in the air before lightly setting her back on her feet. "Thank god you're safe." In this moment, Seiya might've been apt to let the world go to Hell if it meant he could keep Usagi there.

But... such was life.

Usagi had uttered his name in surprise but quickly focused on the more dire situation instead. It reminded the boy that the two were, afterall... friends. His smile faded and he likewise shifted his attention.

"Ah... The three of us arrived here and we seem to have stirred up things a little. Naturally," he added with a playful wink. He left out exactly why they had returned. "But something is wrong. Some of the students have this... strange dark aura. There's a Sailor Senshi down there that the three of us have never seen. If there's trouble, I'm sure Sailor Moon will show up to save the day, right?" He smiled and started to step around her, heading upstairs.

"I'm assuming some of your friends are still up here since I didn't pass them. I'll go get them. If you head to the first floor, Taiki and Yaten are down there. They'll help you out." With that, he turned on his heels and went upstairs to look for the other Sailor Senshi.

He hurried to where their classroom would be, looking around for any sign of them. His feet began to slow, however, when he realized how heavy his heart felt. "..."

"S... Seiya-sama?!"

The boy whirled around and realized he was attracting attention on this floor as well. Girls turned their heads toward him immediately, gawking at the sight of the long-lost celebrity. He held up his hands and backed away... then flew around a series of corners, flung open a classroom door, ran inside and--

"What the--!!"

--his feet slid out from under him and he fell right on his a**. The classroom seemed to be empty from what he could see at first glance, and he was... sitting in a large puddle of soapy water. He grimaced.

Back downstairs, Taiki and Yaten were hot on the heels of the mysterious Sailor Soldier. They kept out of sight, hiding behind corners and lockers. Some of the students were getting violent with each other, and that black, sickening darkness was definitely a cause for concern.

"Should we transform?" Yaten asked, looking up at his partner. Taiki shook his head slowly.

"Not yet."

Is she the cause of this? Taiki wondered. Not all Sailor Senshi could be trusted, and the Starlights knew this very well.

Sailor Andromeda

In spite of her warning for the three boys she had thrown into the empty classroom to hide, it seemed one had dashed out of the room and run, followed by the other two. Well, at least they had been smart enough to go in the other direction. However, she could not be sure they had not been touched by the taint. She couldn't let anyone leave the building, not with this. There was too much risk that one of them would be tainted, and spread that taint like the flu. It would be a big spell, but there was nothing to be done about it.

Sailor Andromeda raised her staff out in front of her, low to the ground. She would normally extend it as far as she could, but the halls were too narrow to allow that. She just hoped that choking up on the staff wouldn't effect the spell. She began to spin, raising the staff a little more with each pass. After three turns, the staff came above her head, and the crescent moon lantern burst with light.

"Gates of Heaven!"

On the ground covering the whole of the school building appeared a pattern of circles. The biggest ones circled the school building, while the smaller ones - dotting the bigger ones like beads on a necklace - held intricate patterns not seen since alchemy in the old days was replaced by chemistry. This pattern glowed, and soon exploded with light itself, washing away that disgusting aura of putrid evil. In it's wake was a feeling of peace, like everything was going to be okay. Those students who had the dark aura in them - even if they had not been overcome yet - passed out on the ground.

Sailor Andromeda gave an exasperated sigh. It was a huge mess, and she had had to cast that spell in a place where everyone could see her. Fortunately, most had left for home already, and not many students were in the classrooms, much less the hallway. Still, she had been careless, and she was not prone to carelessness. Furthermore, that had been the biggest she had ever made that spell, and she was exhausted. She wouldn't let even the smallest amount of it show, but she was tired enough to lay down and sleep right there. Tempting as it was, she had to get out of there. Fast.

Turning around, she began to make her way out of the building, seemingly non-nonchalant, as though there wasn't anything wrong, as though she had just as much right to be there as anyone else. As soon as she was out of sight, though, she made her way into the girl's bathroom and found an empty stall. Frankly, the whole bathroom had been empty, but better safe than sorry. A glow surrounded her as her transformation wore off, putting her back into her school uniform, complete with her book bag.

Speak of the devil.

Minako, just finishing the far left corner of the room, was about to stand up and brush her skirt off just as the door of the class room clattered open and in slid...

Seiya?! By gods the squealing was right!

She stood in shock for several moments, staring at the girl-disguised-as-a-boy who was flat their butt, having slipped on a not yet dry puddle of water. She then parted her lips, making a popping sound and put her hands to her hips, and gave a great pointing post.

"YOU! YOU ARE TRESPASSING ON MY CLEAN FLOOR."

She really didn't have anything better to say.
Well, 'o hai' would have sufficed, but, this was more... dramatic.

Her hair swayed slightly in the breeze that was let in by the cracked window (she got mighty dizzy from the strong smell of the bleach in the water she was using to clean the floor), and a proud, maybe even triumphant smile graced her face.

She sighed, tapping her pencil on her desk absently as she stared out the classroom window. It was nice outside and she was stuck cooped up in this dull classroom. She looked back to the front of the room where her instructor was lecturing about modern society. She hated this class. It was so boring and predictable. She preferred to learn about the past, about the way things used to be. You know, before skyscrapers pierced the skies and dashed the horizons. Before pollution and starless nights. She longed to live in the past. According to Luna she had at one point. She'd lived on the moon even, protecting the Moon Kingdom's Princess. Now, she was just your average teenage super hero. Sounds cool right? Most of the time it is pretty awesome, saving the world and the people she loves. But right now it was just plain confusing. There were all these dark auras everywhere and she had no idea what they were or where they were coming from. It was very frustrating. She let out another sigh.

Her name was Rei Hino and she was Sailor Mars. A soldier of love and justice who vowed to protect the earth and the Moon Princess, Usagi Tsukino. The same Moon Princess who could never show up to school on time even if her life depended on it and somehow managed to fail every test she took. Even when their friend Ami helped her. Ami was the smartest person Rei knew. If she couldn't help their ditzy Moon Princess then Rei wasn't sure who could. Rei loved Usagi, she was her best friend, but sometimes she really just wanted to hit her. And she had a few times, mostly when they were in the middle of a major battle and their great leader was breaking down because she was so emotional. Or because they were all dying. Yeah, that usually sucked. Dying was never fun. No matte how many times it happened. And it was never any less painful. She shivered slightly, thinking about the last time she'd died. Having her Star Seed ripped forcefully from her body was the most painful thing she'd ever experienced. She reflexively placed one palm over her chest, the soft thumping of her heart reassuring beneath her palm.

The bell finally rang and Rei quickly pack up things and moved to the hallway. It was finally lunch time. If she went to the same school as the others she would find them and eat with them. But her grandfather insisted on sending her to a private catholic school, no matter how much she begged him to let her go to school with the others. He said if she was in the same school as them then she wouldn't focus on her studies and fall behind. He was probably right but sometimes she wished she was in their school. It would make things a lot easier and probably more fun. Usagi was such a klutz, Ami was so sweet and inccoent, Mako was tough but kind, and Mina was pretty funny most of the time. And then there was Rei. Stubborn, a little hot-headed sometimes, and definitely passionate about everything she did. And maybe a little sarcastic. But that was only because she didn't know how to express her feelings well.

Her day passed in a bit of a blur after that and soon it was time to leave. She usually met her friends in front of their school so she packed her things and headed in the direction of their school, her bag clasped in front of her. She smiled, it felt good to be outside again. She really wasn't fond of being cooped up indoors. She walked casually, knowing she would have plenty of time because of the afternoon cleaning. She was pretty sure one of them would be responsible for it this week. She was taking her time, meandering along, and enjoying the sun on her face and the breeze in her hair. She reached the school gates in a little under fifteen minutes and leaned against the wall, waiting for her friends to emerge from the building. She didn't like going inside, she always got lost. But when she arrived at the inner courtyard she stopped. The school felt different today, peaceful, and there was a certain glow to it. Almost like a golden touch. She looked around, seeing the faint golden circle decorating the ground and the students passed out here and there. She frowned, moving to one of the students and placing a hand on his forehead. He was completely cleansed, she could still sense the magic within him. She stood and hurried toward the doors, choosing to get lost if it meant finding her friends even faster.

"YOU! YOU ARE TRESPASSING ON MY CLEAN FLOOR."

Nearly startled out of his skin at this girl's sudden appearance, the boy idol on the floor clutched his chest and stared. It took a few seconds (mostly to get over the shock), but slowly he realized just who had scolded him so enthusiastically.

"..." A small smirk passed his lips. "Seiya Kou doesn't trespass, he makes an appearance," he said smugly as he brought himself to his feet and adjusted his wet clothes. "Admittedly, however, I've made better..."

Now standing and able to look at her properly, he had to chuckle at the sight. A determined smile, blonde hair wavering in the wind, a bold pose and a skirt hem soaked with cleaning water; Minako had certainly always been the queen of her own little world. In spite of everything he had been through recently, he had to smile.

"What have we here, though? This can't be Three Lights' famous former assistant, Cinder-Mina, reduced to scrubbing floors for her wicked step-teacher? How the mighty have fallen," he teased as he fondly patted her head. "It's been a while, Minako-chan."

Seiya then realized he wasn't feeling that dark aura from downstairs anymore. In fact, the whole atmosphere of the school now felt strangely.. refreshing. But Sailor Moon couldn'tve taken care of it already? He wore a puzzled expression for a brief moment.

The other two Lights watched as the mysterious Sailor Senshi began performing what seemed like an attack. Yaten nearly leapt forward to stop her, but Taiki grabbed his arm. The soldier wasn't attacking, but rather... healing? When she finished, she simply walked off into an empty restroom. Taiki then let Yaten go.

"Do you recognize the uniform, Taiki?" The aurburn-haired idol shook his head, frowning.

"But that darkness has dispersed... Regardless, we should keep our eyes on her."

Yaten nodded and dashed into the girl's restroom that the soldier had entered, but to his surprise she had vanished. There was only one other girl in there... the same one that had 'rescued' them earlier. "... You," he spat out quite bluntly, "what's your name? Did you see anyone else in here?"

Taiki waited outside, but movement in his peripheral vision caused him to turn his head toward one of the school's door. A girl flew in, clearly distressed. Standing up straight, he narrowed his lilac eyes slightly. Was that...

"Hino-san?"
