"No harm done?" Greed repeated. "Girlie, I have ears that hear everything."

"Then you'll know I chickened out," Lain shot back. Then she noticed Yue in the distance coming towards them. 'What the hell is he doing?!' she screamed in her head. "Listen, my parents will be back anytime now, so you should leave."

"They always come back home late, don't they?" Greed said, smiling unpleasantly. "Cupcake, one night... they might not come back home at all," he told Lain eerily.

Someone might've just locked Lain in a freezer for hours.

"Oh sorry for disturbing you again at such a late time but I thought I dropped somthing but I guess not" he said then looked at Greed "oh and who are you?" he asked him.

Lain quickly recovered. "Oh, he's my... my..." What did she tell Akiko? "He's my... cousin!" Lain finished rather lamely. "You best be going back to your hotel now, Yue. It's really late," she hinted.

"Yeah, what she said," Greed agreed. He was so getting a kick out of this. "Why don't we go inside, Lain?" He gestured to her house.

"Well to tell you the turth I've seemed to have lost my way and like to call a friend so you don't mind me staying here till they get here?" he asked.

"I hope you know what your doing" Axl thought.

'GAH!!!' Lain gave Yue a look that clearly said 'Yes, Yue dear, I do mind.'

"Not at all," Greed answered smoothly for her. He placed a hand on Lain's shoulder- she shuddered with fright- and forcibly guided her to the front door. "I believe you have the key, cousin, dear?"

Lain nodded, but made no move to take them out. No way was she letting Greed into her house.

"Excellent" Yue said to him "this has to be the guy Lain told me about no doubt in my mind" he thought.

Lain shot a desperate look at Yue. She was smart. It was obvious. She knew that he knew Greed was her 'creepy stalker'.

No use pretending otherwise.

She fumbled her pockets, appearing to look for her keys, but really taking her sweet time doing so.

"I shouldn't drag this out to long" he though seeing the look that Lain gave him. He then pulled out his PET to call Sheena when he did Akiko had picked up insted.

"Oh hey Yue" Akiko said.

"Oh hey ummm where is-" he started till Akiko cut him off.

"She's sleeping" Akiko said to him.

"Hurry up," Greed complains.

"I'm looking, I'm looking!" Lain snaps back, wondering how much more longer she could stall him.

Faye, deciding to take action, sets up a link to Axl's PET. Without her Net Op noticing, she skipped over to Axl.

"Hi, I'm Faye, Lain's kickass NetNavi," she started in a whisper. Without waiting for him to respond, she asked him and Yue, "What the Hell are you doing?!"

"one minuet" Yue said to everyone taking a few steps away "one seconed Akiko I'll call back in a seconed" he said.

"What dose it look like where doing taking action" Axl said to her.

"Yeah I said I'd do something about it plus do you really want me to leave and have your netop be all alone with that guy?" Yue asked her.

Lain glanced back at Yue, wondering what the heck he was up to this time.

"Taking action?!" Faye shouted in a whisper. "By getting her killed?! If you guys hadn't come along, he would've just scared her a bit and left like usual! You've put her and the others in danger! You better hurry and fix this!"

"That's it," Greed said, fed up. "Take your damn keys out or else."

Lain really didn't want to know "what else" was, so she did so and inserted her key into the keyhole.

'Someone up there wants me dead!' she wailed.

"Dead....she never said anything about somthing like that if I would have known I would have taken this to the netpolice a stalker I can handel a crazy guy not as much" he said to her.

"So then how do you excpect us to fix this?" Axl asked.

"Easy I take the guy in right now I'm calling the police" Yue whispered to Axl.

"You can't!" Faye whispered back frantically. "If you alert the police, you put others at risk, too! Lan, Maylu, Sheena-! This guy isn't working alone, you know! He's got people to do what he does!"

"Well what do you want me to do about it now that I know about this guy I should report it but....for now the best thing to do is back off for now" he said.

Faye shrugged, looking lost. "Now that you've interfered, and Greed- that's his 'name'- knows that you know something's fishy, I don't know if he'll just let you guys go that easily."

The lock clicked and Lain opened the door. "Yue? You coming?"
