Yoru returned to the PET "Sheena some of them wanted me to tell you that you have to go with them to some HQ" Yoru said to her.

"Sorry but there going to have to get a no from me" Sheena said to him running to her dress room and locked the door. "I don't want to get involved with the netpolice or anything of that sort" she said changeing her outfit into a casual out fit then shoved all of her hair into a hat "this is my desion" Sheena said as she climbed out through a window.

"Whatever its your choise after all I only said the message I never said I would make it happen" Yoru said. "Oh yeah also that weirdo navi dropped this data its really weird looking it has a pretty interseting arua to it mind if you scan it?" he asked holding in his hand a dark purple color chip.

"Sure once we get back home I can look at it see what it is" Sheena said to him.

((btw not to be rude or mean but could you please not post for Yoru just your own characters you can post as any other characters please sorry thats how RPing usally is for me thank you))

The gang watched Sheena dash off to who knows where, not sparing them a glance.

"I don't think she's going to co-operate," Lain said bluntly, a bit annoyed.

"But this is really serious," said Maylu. "Now that Shademan's seen Yoru, he might go after them."

"God, that Sheena so stubborn! What's her problem, anyway?" Lan put in, irritated. "Well, what do we do, Chaud?" He turned to the older Net Savoir.

Chaud sighed. "Well, we can't make her come with us, so I suppose we just go on ahead and report to Mr. Famous, tell him about Sheena, and have him deal with her."

"No need for formalties," a voice said.

Lan, Chaud, Lain, and Maylu looked at their PETs, where there was a small window of Famous's face in the corner of the screen.

"Mr. Famous!" they exclaimed.

"What did I just say?" said the man.

"Sorry, it's just a habit," Lan replied.

"Anyway, good job on taking care of the problem," Famous said. "I still need you to come to HQ, though, so hurry."

"What about Sheena?" Maylu asked.

"We can leave her alone for now, unless she gets herself involved again, or Shademan targets her," answered Famous. "If either of those situations happen, then we have no choice but to interfere and we'll have to confront her." The window closed.

The gang looked at eachother.

"Do you think Shademan will go after her?" Tory asked.

"Who knows," replied Lain. "Maybe he won't be interested in her, unless she's interested in him. Yoru didn't cause much trouble for Shademan, anyway; in fact, Shademan didn't even address Yoru, so Sheena shouldn't be in any trouble. That's my theory, anyway."

"Anyhow, we should hurry to HQ now," Chaud said, getting ready to leave. "We'll take my limo."

"Wait!" A hologram of Megaman appeared on Lan's shoulder. "Lan, jack me back in."

"Why?"

"Remember our first encounter with Shademan, when he kidnapped Roll?" Megaman said. "He left a Dark chip behind."

"Oh yeah!" Lan remembered.

A hologram of Protoman appeared on Chaud's shoulder. "But like Faye said, the Nebula's finished, so Dark chips are gone, too."

"You can never be too sure," Megaman argued. "Lan, jack me in!"

"Alright, alright. Jack in! Megaman, power up!"

"Faye can help, too," said Lain. "Jack in! Faye, power up!"

While Megaman looked around, Faye activated her visor, checking for any possible invisible data.

"There's nothing," she said, after a thorough scan. "Satisfied?"

"Not really," Megaman said. "I just get the feeling something's off."

"Well, there's nothing else for us to do, here," Faye said. "Lain, Lan, we're ready to jack out!"

"'Kay!"

Sheena was now up in her room on her computer "ok then scanning data now" she said scanning the chip Yoru picked up.

"See anything interseting?" Yoru asked her.

"Nothing yet wait......this data is really weird and different" Sheena said seeing the data on her screan.

"Maybe I should download it into myself see what it dose" Yoru said to her.

"Yoru that is out of the question we don't even know what this is lets not take any chances I can tell theres lots of dark data in this program who knows what it will do to you" Sheena said to him.

"Sheena I can take it then I'm one of if not the only dark elemental navi ever created I think I can handel abit of dark data" he said to her.

"No is no Yoru we can't take those chances still not after what happened to........Dia" she said saying Dia softly.

Yoru sighed "alright you win then I understand" he said to her..

"... So that's what happened," Lan finished explaining to his father, Lain's mother, and Famous.

"I see," Famous said thoughtfully.

"Moron, you forgot something," Lain said to Lan.

"Quit calling me that!"

"I'll stop when it ceases to be true," retorted Lain. She turned to Famous. "Shademan also said that "he got what he came there for". Do you know what he meant?"

"Hmm... Well, that concludes my suspicion," said Famous.

"What?" asked Chaud.

"The ACDC Grand Theatre is one of the locations that holds one of the Sept Mortellement codes," Dr. Shiomi explained.

"'Sept Mortellement' codes?" Maylu asked.

"It's Spanish for 'seven deadly'," Lain translated.

"Seven Deadly?" said Lan.

"You see, a long time ago," began Dr. Hikari,"SciLab created a NetNavi called Abyss Axis-"

"Funky name," Lain said.

Lan rolled his eyes.

Dr. Hikari coughed. "Abyss Axis was created for one purpose and one purpose only: to protect the Net from any kind of danger. Unfortunately, something went wrong with his coding when some viruses got in the server while he was still being developed, and in short, he became... evil. He was bent on destroying the Net, but we were able to restrain him and lock him deep in the Undernet-"

"Great, the Undernet," muttered Chaud.

"-and in the process, the Sept Mortellement Codes were created. There are seven of them, each hidden in seven different areas. With all of them together, if they were brought to the Gate in the Undernet where Abyss Axis is being confined, he will be released from his prison, able to reck havoc as he pleases."

"So that's what Shademan wants," Yai stated.

"I don't see what else he would need the code for," Dr. Hikari replied.

"So this Abyss Axis, he's like some super virus-navi?" Maylu asked.

"In a nutshell, yes. He's very strong."

"Well, this gives us a good idea of where Shademan will possibly strike next," pointed out Lain. "You say there are seven places where these codes are hidden- well, six remaining- so all we need to know is where the other six codes are, have six groups go there, moniter the place until Shademan shows up, and beat him."

"Sounds easy, but Shademan's tough," Lan contradicted. "He just keeps coming back."

Lain shrugged. "Mom, Dr. Hikari, is it possible to develop some garlic-, stake-, and light- based battlechips?"

"Where'd that come from?" asked Yai.

"Those things are a vampire's weakness," explained Lain. "Honestly, don't you watch the cartoons?"

"That sounds so ridiculous it might actually work since Shademan has shown weakness to the Dun Del Sol battlechip," said Dr. Shiomi.

Sheena began to get tired "I'm getting abit tired lets rest for the night I do have to go to school tomarrow" she said laughing abit and changed into her pjs and crawled into bed.

"Alright then good night" Yoru said to her and fell asleep as well but befor he did he set her alarm..

Chaud and Lain were the only ones left in the silent limo (excluding the driver and their NetNavis); everybody else had already been dropped off at their homes, with Lain's house convienently being the last stop.

"What's on your mind?" Chaud asked, breaking the quiet atmosphere.

"Hm? Oh, nothing really..." said Lain, her voice drifting.

"It's gotta be something for you to keep this quiet," prompted Chaud.

Actually, that's because you're here. Lain thought. "Well, it's about the Shademan thing." And you.. "I guess I'm just a bit worried. The guy kinda scares me."

"He's not going to succeed," assured chaud.

"Yeah..."

"Hey, do you want to go somewhere with me tomorrow after you get out of school?" Chaud asked, changing the subject.

Is he asking me out on a date? Lain blushed. "Huh? Oh, um, well, that depends on how much homework I have."

"Tomorrow's a Friday," Chaud reminded. "You'll have all of the weekend to finish any."

"I know, it's juat that I like to finish it immediately," explained Lain. "I'll see, though."

The limo slowed down to a stop in front of a large house. Chaud helped Lain get out of the car.

"Thanks," said Lain.

"No problem. So I'll see you tomorrow?" said Chaud, a bit hopeful.

"I'll call you." Lain waved goodbye to him and went into her house. She was about to go up the stairs to her room when a voice stopped her.

"So, you're dating that boy?" her father asked humourously.

Lain jumped, startled. "Dad! Don't scare me like that!"

Her father chuckled. "Sorry, honey. But, are you dating him?"

"You were spying on me?" Lain accused.

"It's what every good father does, now answer the questtion."

Lain rolled her eyes, trying to conceal the blush forming on her face. "No, Daddy; Eugene and I are not dating. We're just friends."

"That's what your mother said to her parents when they realized how close we were."

"Uh huh, that's great. I'm going to take a shower now, k? Night Dad!" Lain quickly bounded up the stairs.

"You know, it's okay if you two are dating!" her father called. "Chaud's a nice boy! You two look good together!"

"What kind of father are you?! I expect mom to say that, but not you!" Lain shouted back and closed her bedroom door. "Man." She jacked Faye into her computer.

"Are you going to say yes to his invitation?" Faye asked.

"I don't know."

"You should."

"I'll see what I say tomorrow."

Back at his mansion in his room, Chaud laid down on his bed.

"Do you think she'll say yes?" he asked Protoman.

"I don't see why she wouldn't," his Navi answered. "Perhaps you should be more direct and tell her straight out that you like her," Protoman suggested.

"I'm not even sure if she likes me," muttered Chaud.

Protoman rolled his eyes, though no one could see that he had done so. For a prodigy of many things, Chaud was sure blind when it came to love.

He wasn't going tell him that, though.

The next day at school

Sheena was putting things into her locker and yawned. Her outfit was like the one from yesterday only this time the skirt, legwarrmers, tie, and arm band where dark purple with devil wings on the back of the jacket ((sheenas outfit is a different color each day unless I put a picture up)).

"You seem tired that weird chip keep you up all night" Yoru asked her.

"Ja I couldn't help but think about" she said walking into the class room and took her seat "its so weird I can't figure it out at all" Sheena said to him.

Lan, Lain, and Maylu walked into the classroom together, and as usual, Lain went straight to her seat. Lan, however, went over to Sheena.

"Hey, Sheena," he started seriously,"listen, I don't know what's your problem, but here's a heads up: about last night, you could be in danger since Yoru was with our Navis when they confronted Shademan."

"Uhhh Lan I don't think shes listening to you" Tory said to him.

"What then I'll repeat it over again" Lan said.

"No Lan look" Tory said.

Sheena's head was down on her desk and she was sleeping.

A halogram of Yoru appered on her desk "goodness you work your self to death worrying about some silly data" he said seeing her.

Lain and Maylu observed the whole thing and they both laughed.

"He's rarely serious," Lain remarked. "And he was ignored."

"Goodness you work your self to death worrying about some silly data" they heard Yoru say.

Lain stood up and quickly stepped next to Lan, looking down at Yoru. "Wait, what 'silly data'?" she inquired.

"Hmmmm oh just some weird chip data I picked up after words poor girl has been worrying about she said it was really weird" Yoru said makeing it apper in his hand.

Lan and Lain looked at eachother before looking back at Yoru.

"Yoru, we're going to need that data," Lain ordered gravely.

"Nyaa? sorry but can't do that" he said makeing it disapper "I don't have rights to do so "we need to finish analzing it first." Yoru replied.

That's it; I've had enough.

Lan was about to say something angrily, but Lain beat him to it.

"You have no idea how dangerous that thing is," she warned. Then, she began to shake Sheena awake. "Oi, Ieit, wake up. Now."

"Nyaa? what is it....oh its you guys is school over already wow I rest for five minuets and schools done" Sheena said half asleep.

"Sorry Sheena schools not over but these guys want this chip data I found they said its dangerous" Yoru said "but it dosn't seem so dangerous to me it seems like a warm invation" he said.
