What if the world doesn't end the way everyone thinks it's going to? What if the human race doesn't blow itself up with warheads? What if war and famine and lack of resources isn't what does the humans in? Have you ever thought about that? To tell you the truth, no one does, until it’s too late. No one thinks about the end of the world, doesn’t care about it being their last few days on earth. But that’s before the Solanum virus started taking over.
It’s been a year since the class four outbreak of the Solanum virus, a sickness that leaves it’s host, in the simplest terms, zombified. Government has failed, and the flora and fauna are well on their way to reclaiming the world. Survivors must fend for themselves, either striking out on their own, or finding a group that will take them in. Some make their home in dense forest areas, while others thrive in abandoned cities, each and every one using their strengths to their advantage. However, nowhere is really safe in a post apocalyptic world.
Two contrasting groups, Vanguard and Chrysalis, have been forced to leave their refuges, others having overpowered them. Vanguard, a collection of urban survivors, headed north, while Chrysalis, a band of rural survivors, made their way south. After traveling far, both assemblies came upon a small mountain town, not knowing that the other group existed, and that they each had their sights set on claiming the town as their own.

☣ General:: Obey the GaiaTos. Furthermore, don't spam, godmod, nor have a mary sue/gary lou character! If anything happens between characters, TIME SKIP! Anything beyond hand holding and hugging or a kiss on the lips is to be time skipped!
☣ Maturity:: This rp still abides by the GaiaTos and all members are fully expected to do the same, there are no exceptions. However, we fully expect that the roleplayer realizes that this is meant to be realistic. In this scenario, characters are facing life or death moments-easy on the gore guys, no splattering blood and guts, think like Kingdom Hearts or Zelda (suggested violence, but no details). GaiaTos (we'll be saying that a lot obviously). Mild language, very vague suggestive themes, and alcohol/cigarette/drug use. EVERYONE BE AS VAGUE AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN; READ GAIATOS AND ABIDE THEM. GAIATOS. The moment someone goes too much into detail they'll be given a warning and forced to change their post, if they don't abide by these requests or repeat offences you WILL be immediately banned from the rp if not reported. GAIATOS, GAIATOS, GAIATOS.
☣ Literacy:: This roleplay is literate. Given, there are a lot of different definitions of literate whether it be quality over quantity or vice versa and a word/paragraph count. Well here and now we'll define what we consider literate. First of all, the moment you posts a one liner is the moment you are kicked out of this rp, don't you DARE do it. I digress, there's no preference of quality or quantity, we expect both. In regards to quality, we want proper grammer and spelling-we're not strict, everyone including us make many typso! In reguards to quantity, we want minimum 3 beefy paragraphs or five paragraphs each at least five sentences long. That's what we consider literate, please feel free to go over the requirements, but not under!
☣ Characters & Profiles::The characters can only be ages 18-25. Real people only. The profiles are pretty simple and quick, so please get them in ASAP. However, dear goodness don't make a mary sue or gary lou. Also, yes, your character has specialties and weaknesses/fears, make them not only realistic, but also, don't make them super "powerful". Some people have special abilities like Photographic Memory and Empathy, but not everyone, and some people have OCD and ADD. Also, keep in mind people have special tricks up their sleeves like hot-wiring or stealth or strategic knowledge! Be creative! Please try to not repeat to much among characters, but if they're on opposite teams then it's fine. All sexuality preferences are happily accepted!
☣ Frequency:: We understand you have lives and it's summer, so you probably have plans, we totally understand. Please keep us posted on when you'll be unable to post! If you vanish, we'll keep your character for a while and contact you, if we haven't heard from you within a week, we will have your character killed off and replaced-it's not fair to have the role taken up by someone who quit. As far as how often we'd like you to post, we'll put the minimum at two-three times a week including weekends although we'd love more often than that~(if you're waiting on someone of course that is an exception).
☣ Respect:: This one is pretty obvious: treat everyone with respect, don't ignore characters, and listen to the owners and the moderators. IggyxNoir and I, Youji Xerxes Takari are the queens of this roleplay and the moderators will enforce the rules as well. If there is a problem contact one of them and ourselves. If one of the leaders is out, a moderator will step up to help as stand-in.

☣ Raiders:: Be careful of zombies, but keep in mind that your own species can be out to get you! Many people are alone and many are in groups, and both offer unique threats. Both of which include injuring members of your team or causing damage to the town!
☣ Contaminated:: Humans who are in the early stages of infection of the Solanum Virus. They are generally pallor, fatigue rather easily, their eyes appear sunken and their brain function slowly degrades. They are to be considered highly dangerous although they aren't contagious at this point, they're prone to transforming soon and they may resort to drastic measures.. Within a day, they'll be full fledged zombies.
☣ Zombies:: Zombies. Infected. Call them whatever you'd like. They cannot run, they walk, they cannot open doors or think to use weapons against you. However, they are as strong as an average human and commonly travel in swarms. They can contaminate you if you're bitten or if their blood mixes with yours, so be sure to not get to close and cover your wounds! In order to be killed, you must sever the head or severely damage the brain-where the Solanum Virus controls the host.
