Lu stopped in her footsteps and looked away for a moment. The word brother made her memories flash back to when she was younger, her brother had drowned right in front of her eyes. She winced and turned to look at Brandon "Why doesn't he fake his death?" Lu started to walk down the hall and held her breath.
Brandon sighs, lowering his head so his shaggy hair gets in his face. "North and South have a death sentence on them... And Aurora did some terrible things with Montie. The UNSC agreed to pardon everyone if we turned him over." He whispers, barely audible.
Lu's face softened and she took a step toward him. She pulled him into her arms and hugged him tight "Sh.... there's got to be at least a loop hole about doing it." Lu was at least 4 inches taller than him and she let him go, walking further down the hallway.
"I-I don't know... Ark seems resigned to do this. And if they find out we didn't turn him over... He's a cyborg... I don't think faking his death would be easy. They could go after us..." Brandon says, hugging her back. He follows her fingering the blade Ark gave him.
Lu glanced at him and put her arm around his shoulder. "Brandon, have I told you that there's always a way and that nothing is impossible?" She smiled and finding the lounge area, she sat on a sofa and looked at him.
"We don't want to anger the UNSC more... We're not a rebel faction, we just hit the wrong set of circumstances to the point where we ended up being wanted by the group we left." Brandon explains, running his hands through his hair.
Thaddeus's silence was more than enough for him to proceed. Drahk looked over the group intently. "As the situation stands, there is no conflict between parties as long as this threat should remain present. Tank, I would like for you to stay behind for a moment. Humans, you are dismissed. Thaddeus, be on your best behavior.
Tank was furious, enough to where he wished to punch North in the face and rip Ark's spine from his backside. There was absolutely no benefit to having such an aggressive timebomb around unstable personnel and children. Partially still because he hated Thaddeus's sick indigo tinted guts.
Indiana jumped for joy as his chains rattled loudly. "WHOOO!" He celebrated aS he turned to make his way past the lines of dispersed troops. He ran outside ofbthe door spotting Sister. He didn't have any words to say, he just leaned against her, smiling happily. "Escort me back to the ship before they change their minds. Cmon baby." he wounded like an anxious child waiting in line for his happy meal. He wanted a few moments alone with herbage least so they could talk about sine things! L.
North gives a bow and a gesture of goodbye and thankfulness. "Thank you... And victory to you and your allies." He says, heading out briskly. He glances at Ark and Spirit, a signal not to do anything until they get back on the ship.
