Looking up from his desk, where he'd been writing out a spell that probably wasn't going to work, Menard regarded the lady in the room blankly for a moment. She lived in the Inn, but he never remembered who they were, they all had their own lives and most didn't even pay for their rooms in person. She was familiar though, and what more did anyone need to have a conversation? He slid the piece of paper under another calmly. "Good morning." he replied with a smile. "Yes, everything is fine. It's just going to be a slow, boring day. The festival I guess." He nodded. "I guess I'm going to the festival, everyone else is. Wouldn't do for me to stay here by myself." he replied politely. It was true, the festivals were one of the best things about the town. It brought people together and took away the monotony. He glanced down at his coffee, which had gone cold. There was a shipment of produce coming in, he thought, and people were coming toward the inn in a herd. "Sorry to rush off like this." he said to the lady with an apologetic smile. "Perhaps I'll see you at the festival." He took up his cup and wandered off into the kitchen to hide. Carmen, the farmer, was nice...but shse was almost too nice. She was once of those utterly and impossibly nice people, and she made him nervous somehow. He made more coffee, and hid in the kitchen while the cook and whoever else had showed up carried on in the lobby.
EDITED - Sorry to above. Find him somewhere else to talk, the RP is running away without me and when that happens I never get back into it, so I have to make him go where the people are. D:
