Neil was surprised when the door actually opened. He was even more surprised when he was face to face with a young lady. He hadn’t thought that anyone would actually come to let him in, but he was glad someone had. This young lady’s eyes were red. However, she still reminded him of the color yellow. Neil didn’t particularly know why, but he often associated people with colors. It was easier to remember a color then a name or face, or so it seemed. But the red eyes continued to grab at Neil’s attention. Had she been crying? Or was it merely allergies? Though he thought, and this was just a thought, that allergies were only really a problem during the spring and summer months. But he didn’t want to assume she had been crying. Neil wasn’t very good on picking up on other people’s emotions and he was even worse at dealing with them. Personally he only had two emotions, mildly indifferent or terribly angry. There was a wide range of mediums in there, but that was only while he worked from one extreme to the other. Currently he was at a subtle excitement. The more Neil looked at her face, the more he was convinced she had been crying. Just under her eyes it was one could call tear streaked. He couldn’t possibly find a way to dismiss this as allergies now.

However, the young lady or Rizzo as he came to find out, was engaging him in conversation and pulling his thoughts away from the possibility she had been crying. He had nodded when she asked if he meant her art only to stop when she mentioned his choice of nickname and her actual name. “Yes, you’re the yellow one. No offense intended by the color choice, it’s just what color you remind me of.” He paused. “Rizzo, I’ll try to remember.” He said with a smile. However, the words were just empty. Neil could say he would try to remember all he wanted, but it wouldn’t work. ‘I could,’ He thought suddenly. ‘Write the color and the name. Then at least for that day I’d remember it.’ He had been looking at his feet while he contemplated a new way to try a remember people without giving into the demands that he stick to a routine and when he looked up Rizzo had moved from the doorway and allowed him to come in. He smiled gratefully at her as he entered. As the door closed, Neil looked around the room, it was identical to his. But that was to be expected as all the rooms on the same floors tended to look a like. Of course, each room had it’s own little flairs here and there that proved all the people weren’t the same.

Neil watched as Rizzo moved past him and returned with sketch books and pads. He glanced up at her then back at the books before taking them. “Thank you.” He said quietly. Getting to see someone’s art was a very solemn thing, it was a time for quiet reflection, not rowdy exclamations. At least, that’s how Neil saw it. He often preferred quiet reflections, though the only time he was exceptionally loud was when he was enraged. But as Neil moved over to Rizzo’s bed, or what he assumed was her bed, since the other bed had spewed forth a small, pink, girl. Of course she wasn’t really pink, that was just the color she made him think of. She was small though and Neil didn’t like small girls much as they often caused a lot of trouble. The small girl in his dream, she had blonde hair and a blue dress, she was the worst small girl of all! Every time she came around she was always making him upset. It wasn’t completely her fault, he supposed if he spoke more clearly she wouldn’t misunderstand all the time, which is what got him upset. Neil didn’t like misunderstanding people and hated to be misunderstood even more. Still he wasn’t fond of small females, or males for that matter, he was just awful when it came to dealing with kids.

‘It still seems rough when a young kid is in here though.’ Neil thought while watching as the girl gave a picture to Rizzo. Neil looked away, trying to let the girl have her own moment with Rizzo. It must be important, when one is so young and in such a dark place, to have someone to look up to and depend on. He wondered if that’s how his young roommate felt, and after thinking about it he didn’t much care. If his roommate wanted to depend on anyone, he could find someone else. Neil wasn’t there to comfort others. Neil set the rest of the books on the bed next to him, taking just the top one in his hands, he opened it and began looking through the pictures. Each picture left him mesmerized, her skill was apparent, her sketches were beautiful. Neil looked up from the first book to notice the small, pink, girl had left. “What inspires you to draw?” Neil asked. It might have been to personal a question for him to ask, but he was always curious about what drove people. The only thing that drove Neil was his drugs or his need for drugs. When they took away any substance he managed to get his hands on it was usually really bad. Lately though, they had been giving him some substitute to wean him off the drugs, so he was actually feeling pretty decent right now.

That didn’t mean that he still wasn’t upset at the staff taking away his smokes. They were his. He had to work exceptionally hard to sneak them in and for them to just rip them out of his hands was infuriating. Neil had learned though, that screaming at the staff wasn’t going to do anything. He just needed to wait it out. A few of the staff weren’t the righteous people they pretended to be and any time he could go into town he could find someone that could help him get what he wanted. He just had to wait. What a better way to wait then avoiding any meetings he had and seeing some gorgeous art, as well as the gorgeous artist that came along with it. Neil had to admit, Rizzo was quite the sight for lonely eyes. There were a lot of girls here and just as many guys, with all those adolescents in one place for days on end you could bet something was bound to happen. Neil had managed to stay out of any sort of relationship, not that he’d remember if he were in one, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t one to enjoy window shopping. He didn’t know why Rizzo was in here, she seemed relatively normal albeit a little sad, but he appreciated the beauty she brought with her. In both her art and herself.

Maia looked at the kid and raised an eyebrow, he was actually blushing and acting all shy, she had been sure that kids like this didn’t exist anymore. Sure, maybe they all didn’t come out as rude, loud-mouthed, rapscallions, but she didn’t think any of them came out sweet and polite like this. ’He’s so adorable I might just croak.’ As she continued to look at him she noticed he was shivering. That was not good. ‘Of course he’s shivering, he’s wearing wet clothes.’ Maia thought to herself. She looked around the pool. There were towels and probably some robes or something, in case a kids clothes got wet, but she hadn’t seen any robes. Or maybe she had missed them, her mind was a little preoccupied with the images she saw in the pool. She had been trying to push them out of mind, she didn’t want to just ignore the kid, but they were still there. She made a note to head to the library later and see what she could dig up on the images she saw. But right now she needed to figure out how to get the kid out of his dripping wet clothes and what he could cover up with after. She knew her clothes were dry and she was considerably taller than the kid, standing at five feet, nine inches she was a bit taller than was average for girls her age. Her clothes, unlike most girls her age, weren’t skin tight so they’d probably just look super baggy. But young boys didn’t want to wear female clothing, even if it was just so he could walk back to his room with more cover than a towel would offer. Maia was dragged out of her thoughts when she heard the kid introduce himself.

“James.” She paused. “Jamie.” She looked at the water then back at Jamie. “It suits you.” She said with a grin. “It’s really nice to meet you Jamie, though that was probably obvious, I’m Maiara. But you can call me Maia.” She looked at Jamie‘s hand with shock on her face, but she gladly took his hand and shook it. Yep, they didn’t make kids like this anymore. “I’ve just got to say, you are probably the most well-mannered young man I’ve ever met.” Maia put her hands in her lap. “Anyway, you like to read?” She questioned. “I need to stop by the library…and…uh…look into some stuff. Would you like some company?” Maia stopped. “Assuming you’re going to the library. I’m sure you brought along some books.” Maia added. She knew the library here was amazing. Though she wasn’t a regular there she had been to the library on many occasions. While it was always eventful here, this place did have its slow days and the library offered a more solitary form of entertainment. Maia always appreciated a good book, even if she’d rather be out doing something active. She was for the expanding of ones knowledge over anything especially since there was so much out there to learn about.

Maia looked at her hands then back to Jamie. “So, you must be cold, huh?” She paused for a moment, but didn’t really wait for a response. Jamie was shivering, which was obvious, and it seemed he had to fight to keep his teeth from chattering. Everything about that screamed that he was cold. “I’ve been thinking about it and you’ve got some limited options here. Which I apologize about, since you wouldn’t have gotten wet if I hadn’t be drowning.” She kind of shrugged afterwards as if to say what are you going to do, then continued on. “I didn’t see any robes, but they’d have to have some, right? Right.” She said nodding. “There are more towels, so we could fashion you a wrap and cape out of those. You could be Towel Man, you know, if anyone asked why you had so many towels.” She didn’t want to admit it, but this kid was growing on her if the few minutes they’d known each other, and she didn’t want him exposing his body to a bunch of strangers. That’s why she suggested the whole Towel Man thing. After all, who didn’t love superheroes and he was a hero, so it worked out surprisingly well. At least it did in her mind. “Or, my clothes are dry. They aren’t super girly. I swear. And they’d probably be pretty lose, you could pull off the whole sweater set sagging thing that’s apparently fashionable with guys these days. And it’d just be long enough to get you back to your room so you could grab some dry clothes.” Maia finally stopped talking.

It felt to her like she’d been rambling on for way longer than she meant too. But she didn’t want the kid to freeze and he looked like he barely weighed eighty pounds soaking wet. She certainly didn’t want any of the younger girls to get any ideas about Jamie. He was too young for that. ‘And he should stay pure!’ She thought. Maia wanted to laugh at herself for that. She wasn’t this kids mom and she definitely shouldn’t be talking about people staying pure as she wasn’t very pure herself. However, he was so innocent it was easy to only want the best for him. She could see that now. Exactly like a puppy all you see is that adorable, lost or smiling face and you just want to take it home and make sure someone else doesn’t pick it up and abuse it. But maybe that’s why he was here, maybe someone beat him until he wasn’t deemed normal? That thought made Maia sick. She could feel the bile try to crawl its way up her throat, but she fought it back. Whatever had happened, Maia wouldn’t let anyone hurt her little hero.

Rizzo hadn’t noticed that Sidney, or rather Boo the name everyone else calls her. Had gotten up yet, she didn’t hear the young girl call out her name earlier when she was going into the bathroom and since she was so silent now she had walked right past her when she went to answer the door. Even though the two never had a conversation much, Rizzo had a soft spot for the young girl and liked to look out for her. Always asking if she was doing okay or if she wanted to sleep with her. It wasn’t like she would ever in her life try something on a girl so young. She might be locked in here with all the unstable people but it didn’t mean she was messed up that much. Riz liked to make sure the girl was okay and having fun, she’d even sometime play with the young girl, or course it would be hide and seek. Boo was still so small she could fit into all the places people wouldn’t expect her to go and she wouldn’t be surprised if she hid in placed even the staff didn’t know existed. So walking to answer the door, the older brunette was still completely unaware of the young girl sitting up and awake on her own bed. Being too focused on getting to the door and getting to the bottom of this unexpected visit from and unknown person. She didn’t know who in the world it could be, not having too many friends in this place. It was hard to make and sort of friendship or connect with half the people in there though it wasn’t impossible. Hell even being here since she was fifteen, she hadn’t made many bonds with people. She didn’t even know who everyone on her floor was! Sure she could put names with faced if she’d talked to then before but otherwise her effort in trying to remember didn’t go too far. With her depression hitting her motivation was never lasting, though that was getting better and with her addiction, the staff liked to try and keep her away from people as much as possible. Finally they realized that wasn’t going to help her one bit in getting better and they now let her mingle in the crowds.

As she opened the door and looked up at the man standing in front of her now, she took a few seconds to look him over and study him. His blue hair and matching eyes instantly caught her attention, and she knew she’d seen him around the place maybe once or twice. He might even live on this floor if she remembered correctly. A name didn’t come to man to match this new face, blinking a few times, of yea he had spoken his name already hadn’t he? Neil wasn’t it, or no? She wasn’t sure, heck she hadn’t even been sure someone had knocked on her door for the first couple of minutes until she actually went to check. Meeting up with his eyes for a few seconds, she noticed that he seemed to be staring at her face a lot or rather her eyes. Becoming quickly paranoid for the reason of why she was being looked out. One of her hands absent mindedly went up to her face touching it lightly trying to figure out what was so interesting to look at. When she felt her cheeks and the dried tear stains on her skin, that had to be it and her guess was that here eyes were also red. Slowly rubbing on her face to removing the tears, Riz tried to start up a conversation to maybe get his attention away from her eyes. Listening to his response with a small nod and a tilt of her head. ” No offense taken, nothing bad about it. Just clearing things up.” Forcing a small smile on her lips, it was only fair treatment since he had been smiling. Seeing a smile aimed at her for some reason lifted her up even if a little when she was feeling like she had been today. Her eyes traveling down her own body as she noticed the color of her tank top, giving a small laugh.” It fits today anyway, as I am wearing yellow. What about that specific color reminds you of me anyway?” She was quiet curious on the question and on about what answer she’d get from him. Yellow had always been one of the colors she actually liked, but to have it be the color to describe her, Rizzo just was curious to know why in specific details. If that was even possible.

Handing over a handful of books to Neil she gave a small nod to his thank you. It was such a strange feeling having someone come specifically to your room to look for you. Just to see your own artwork, she didn’t know how the stories of her work ever got around and got to a person she’d never even spoken to in her life. She didn’t hand him all her books, there were many still in the draw, packed full with drawings. Some of the books were labeled by what was mostly in them, scenery, people, n***s, objects, ideas, dreams etc. The older ones were mostly the labels ones, since it was when she was going through phases of only drawing specific things. The newer ones were packed with a large array of different things. You could even tell which books were the oldest too by how a worn out they were and manipulated or even how many random pages were tucked into the pages that were already in the book. Rizzo would let him start with those and if he for some reason decided he wanted more, he was free to look as much as he pleased. While Neil started in on his looking over, Rizzo gave her attention to Boo who had run up and shoved a piece of paper in her hands. One that held a drawing she’d done herself. Spotting her own form on the paper along with Boo’s and then the ‘monster’ she swore she saw. A small frown on her face as she looked at the picture, Riz wanted to bring it up to the young girl but she was already off running from one of the staff that had come to collect her. Being brought out of her thoughts as Neil spoke up asking her a question.

”Many thing you could say. Beauty for one.” she replied, folding the paper Boo had given her up and setting it down on the nearest surface.” I draw whatever catches my attention or whatever gives me the urge to capture the moment.” Her words holding truth, she didn’t ever have one specific reason as to why she drew, all it was actually simple hobby, or at least that’s how it started out in the beginning. Leaning against the wall slightly, she hadn’t sat down once since he’d entered the room, Rizzo looked on and watched him as he looked everything once; he seemed content and somewhat happy at it all. This gave her a feeling she could only describe as accomplishment.” So your name is Neil, right? What are you in this place for?” What better way to keep things from getting awkward then to pick up some kind of conversation, right? Only hoping he didn’t care that she asked a question like that, some people in the placed hated the question, getting all defensive and offended. Walking closer to him, she took in his features again, licking her lips slowly. He was an attractive person and that instantly made he want to keep him around. Not that she was so shallow like that, it was just if she found them attractive; she kind of got automatically hooked on them, until she got what she wanted. Only being a few inches away from his form as he sat on her bed. She continued to stand there, reaching out and slowly lifting the necklace he was wearing around his neck. Keeping the conversations going for a little while at least.”Blue. If I had to pick a color to describe you it would be blue.” Her words came out as she let the necklace drop back down around his neck, letting her hand slowly reach up and brush some of his hair that was sticking out of his beanie away.’ He really pulls off that beanie. Ugh no! Don’t think about that kind of stuff. Battling with herself in her own thoughts as she kept looking down at him.

Trying to distract herself from her own though, she looked around her room in attempts to find something that would take her mind away from other “things”. Spotting a small notebook sitting next to him on her bed. That wasn’t one of hers so it had to belong to him, picking it up without even asking his permission she flipped through it, scanning the pages and letting her eyes skim the pages of words and noted and everything else jotted down in there. Until she came to a blank page in the book, a smile crept to her face as she finally took a seat next to him on her bed.” Let me draw something for you.” She wasn’t going to take no for an answer, and she never gave him time to decline her offer, not knowing if he really would or not. Reaching over to one of her own sketch pads that was already lying on her bed, she took off one of the pens that had been sticking down the spine of the book and took it in her hands. Looking over at his form for a few seconds before she started to let her pen glide over the paper in his own notepad. Rizzo sat so he couldn’t see what she was drawing for him, but every once in awhile she would quickly glance up at him. It was torture alone to look at him for too long right now.”You’ve caught my attention.” chuckling lightly, as she signed her name on the side of the drawing, not letting him see the pages yet. She hadn’t realized it but her nervous habits had started to leak through as she sat there drawing him. Repeatedly licking her lips and lightly tapping her fingers against the surface of the notepad. She was trying so hard to keep her hands all to herself. Rizzo knew that Boo wouldn’t be back anytime soon, so she was safe but she didn’t need anyone ratting her out of she broke.

” You’ll regret it if you don’t. It will drive you mad.” Closing his notebook and setting it down on her bed, Rizzo looked over to the male and at that last second she’d made her choice. Completely unaware on how he would react or if he’d do anything to her for trying, it didn’t matter now anyway. In one swift motion, she had managed to get herself on his lap, a leg on each side of him. Slowly pulling the book of hers out of his hands and setting it down on the bed.” Help me with something, won’t you?” Her smile had turned into a small smirk as her voice was a whisper as she leaned in closer to his ear. Pushing him back onto the bed, her small form hovering over his, as she let her lips crash down upon his. This was the moment now; she didn’t know how he was going to react to her advancement.

The day started early as it always had, she was up at five in the morning due to lack of sleep. From time to time she was known to have boughs of insomnia but this rarely happened. Arianna sighed softly as she got out of bed, it was around six in the morning, when she looked over she saw her roommate Patrick or rather, Cricket was still asleep, she smiled. He wasn’t all that bad, honestly she couldn’t understand why people treated those with mental illnesses like they are lepers or it’s contagious, she personally finds Patrick to be quite adorable like a little brother of sorts. She ended up getting up and changing into a pair of Yoga pants and she donned a long sleeved long john type top with a turtle neck over and a vest over that, she put on a hat and gloves. This early in the morning is when she usually goes for her early morning jog down the side of the mountain the facility rested on, four miles down and four miles back.

Arianna grabbed her i-phone and her headphones and put them in and she put on the song sweet dreams by Beyonce and then she went jogging. By the time she got back and hour later she was pretty much drenched, it may have been winter but pushing the body to run in the cold even bundled up made one sweat. She went back to her room and took a shower, she had to get ready for work at eight. Her job was simple really, she is a receptionist in the main lobby of the building and she answers the phone, responds to emails, she also directs visitors the way they need to go. She also informs security if she see’s anything curious happening. Arianna stepped out of the shower and dried off, she then slipped a robe on and blow dried her hair, blowing it out so it was straightish, then she flat ironed it and once her hair was done with sprayed it with hair spray and moved on to her makeup. Once her hair and face were made up she got dressed slipping into a white three quarter sleeved blouse she pulled on a high waisted navy blue skirt, tucking the shirt into the skirt. She then pulled on a black blazer and slipped her feet into baby blue pumps. Once she as dressed and accessorized she grabbed her ID card and the book she was reading and walked away punching in she went to the front desk and sat down and got to work.

She had reminder phone calls to make, things needed to be photocopied and letters typed up on word that had to be sent to Sooh for approval and her signature. So much to do. A few hours later Arianna looked at the clock and spotted the time, ten am. Her stomach growled, it was about time to grab lunch or well brunch since she skipped out on going to the kitchen for an early morning snack. Just as she was about to get up she spotted Patrick and well she heard Tai before she saw him, her lips tugged upwards as she saw the ginger Asian a giggle escaped her lips, he was very upbeat and much fun to be around. She stood up and stretched walking over to them her heels clacking on the floors. She got there just in time to hear Patrick ask Tai to have lunch with him. “Do you mind if I join you boys for lunch?” She tilted her head. A smile gracing her pink glossed lips. “Good morning,” She looked over at Patrick, “Did you sleep well? When I woke up this morning you seemed quite peaceful.” It was common knowledge that they were roomies. She looked over at Tai and smiled, “Ni Hao.” She stated in perfect Chinese knowing he spoke the language, “Morning Mr. Hyper.” She laughed softly and poked his cheek gently, she raised a brow, “So we ready for lunch?” She stood in between both boys and linked her arms with there’s, “Let’s go.”

It was a long day and the day had just barely even started, the flight from New York out to COlorado was around four hours then she had to drive another three hours to get to the facility which was nestled in the middle of nowhere by the mountains, well actually driving should have only taken her two hours but since it’s the winter and you can’t be too careful she drove slowly. Anastasia pulled into the parking lot and parked the car, she was on the facilities board and it was her turn to go for inspection she’d be spending a lengthy amount of time there making sure the government’s funds weren’t being wasted or used for things other than the facility and it’s patients. She also wanted to check up on the director, she’d heard a rumor that she has been acting rather curiously lately.

She sighed and pulled her blazer closer to her, it was freezing here, she’d nearly forgotten what the weather was like around here in the winter. Back in New York it was a mild winter here it was absolutely freezing. She entered the lobby and immediately saw many people yet the thing that caught her attention was the lack of the front desk receptionist. She made a tsking sound of disapproval, “No receptionist…” She frowned and looked around, it was time to go find Ms Sooh, or well she’d known the Director had gotten married to one of the Doctors but she was unsure if her name had changed with the marriage. She walked in, satchel nestled in the crook of her elbow, “Excuse me,” She stated walking over to a trio she spotted, “Do you know where I can find Director Sooh?” She quirked a brow, her eyes sweeping over the female, she was dressed professionally and then it clicked in her head, the receptionist. The last time she was here was three years ago when this girl was just hired, “You are the receptionist are you not?” She saw the girl blinked, “You should be at the desk watching it not chit chatting.” At first she could tell the girl was stricken wondering who she was, she couldn’t help but smirk when she saw recognition flash in her eyes, “Ah I see you remember me,” She looked over and raised a brow seeing the ginger Asian male and the rather adorable looking boy, “You.” She looked at the ginger.

“Are you a patient or a worker?” She didn’t recall seeing him and she always remembered gook looking men, “He’s Miss Sooh’s assistant,” The receptionist, Arianna chimed in, “I asked this gentleman a question and I do not respect you cutting in so rudely and answering for him,” Ana narrowed here eyes, “Where is Sooh?” She stated crossing her arms she tapped her foot impatiently on the ground, “She was in her office but about now she could be in the halls somewhere.” Ana looked at Arianna, “Again speaking out of turn,” She sighed and ran her fingers through her hair, “Well if you should see her alert her of my presence immediately, also send someone out to get my bags and bring them to my room.” She stated and turned away, in the mean time she would go exploring and perhaps bump into the director or her husband the head doctor on the staff. As she began to walk off she spotted the tall Asian man coming down the hallway, “Ah Director Daratranzanoff, welcome.” She heard him say with his light Chinese accent, she merely nodded looking him up and down, well he’d certainly gotten better looking since she last saw him. “Your wife, where is she?” She stated looking him over once more a smirk touching her lips, “You look different…better.” She nodded, “Ah..thank you and my wife was headed to the library would you have me show you the way or can you find it yourself?”

She smirked, “I’ll find it myself,” He nodded, the only reason she didn’t have him accompany her was because she wanted the view of his a** when he walked away. She found the library about ten minutes of searching later, walking in she quirked a brow spotting a little blonde and the woman she was looking for, “Director!” She stated walking over, “There you are, “She glanced down at the girl assuming she must be a patient, “You really should find new staff for the front, your receptionist was flirting with your assistant and slacking on her job.” Little did she know this time was around Arianna’s lunch time anyway. “We need to have a talk I’d like an update on the facility when you get a chance.” She may have said when you get a chance but her eyes said do it now I’m more important. She looked down at the patient and smiled an icy smile, “Hello.” She nodded.

Oh no. She had asked him why he associated the color yellow with her. He very well couldn’t tell her it was because he thought of monkeys when he saw her, which reminded him of bananas, and in turn the color yellow. Though after he saw her smile back, even if it was just a small one, he seemed to find another reason why she reminded him of yellow. Her smile, no matter how forced or small, seemed surprisingly warm and radiant. It was as if she was embodying the sun. Or maybe Neil was seeing things? Her small laugh had cemented his comparison. He peeked at her, then looked at his feet. Neil was never very good at dealing with people and it was even worse when he was trying to be nice. Neil had two main modes, angry and indifferent, so when he was trying to be anything else it was just awkward. Neil cleared his throat and kept his eyes on his feet. “Uh…you remind me of the sun. I know I don’t really know you, but you seem radiant like the sun.” He paused. He didn’t want to say the last part. He was going to sound so cheesy, but he couldn’t stop himself. Besides, he wouldn’t remember what he said tomorrow or how much of a fool he felt like so what did it matter? “You’re warm too. I can see it in you…” He said trailing off.

Neil cleared his throat and looked her in the eyes, just a quick peek, to see how she took what he said. He supposed it was weird to be so open with someone he knew for a few minutes, but it had already been put out there and he couldn’t take it back. He looked back to the book in his hand. The first one he opened happened to be drawings of people. They were gorgeous. Each drawing had something about it that made it hard to turn the page and look away. But seeing the next piece made turning the page worth it. When she responded to his question Neil listened but didn’t look up from the book. Her reasons made sense. When something was beautiful one would want to capture it, The fact that she had the skill to capture it with just a pen or pencil and some paper was what was truly amazing. Neil did manage to tear his gaze away when Rizzo asked if his name was Neil. Had he spent time with her before now? ‘No, she must’ve heard my name somewhere.’ He thought to himself. But an even more apparent thought surfaced, he hadn’t introduce himself! ‘How rude of me.’ He thought. “Ah, I forgot to introduce myself, didn’t I?” He chuckled a bit at himself. “I am Neil.” He paused. He didn’t mind answering that question, he just had to think about it.

“Let’s see…” He started. “Apparently I’m suffering from substance abuse, bi-polar disorder, and some sort of amnesia.” He shrugged when he finished. “It doesn’t really bother me though. Ya know? There‘s probably a bunch of people here with actual problems that are in real pain.” He glanced at the book, then back up. “My issues make it hard to live normally, but no one is really normal anyway.” He smiled. “What about you?” He didn’t add that if she didn’t want to tell him she didn’t have to. Rizzo seemed to be a bright, young, lady she didn’t need him telling her what she did and didn’t have to do.

He hadn’t noticed at first, but she was continuing to get closer and closer to her bed, where he was sitting. Neil had just figured she would sit on the bed next to him as he looked through her sketchbooks, giving insider comments here and there. However, he realized how wrong he was when she reached out to touch his necklace. His necklace really stood out with its red chain on his otherwise blue, black, and grey outfit. He would never forget this necklace. It was given to him by his first love. He never liked to talk about it, but she died of an overdose a couple years before his disorders started getting really bad. Some people think he death caused him to crack, that that’s why he didn’t want to remember, and maybe they were right. All Neil knew was that it was his fault she was dead. If he had been a good boyfriend, had gotten her help, been there to help her get off the drugs, maybe she’d still be here. But he hadn’t been. Neil always claimed that his poor memory was a reason to stay out of a relationship, but really he just didn’t want others to depend on him. He didn’t want to let anyone down.

He looked up at her with a grin when she said he reminded her of blue. “It’s the hair right?” He said with a laugh. Neil had dyed his hair blue years ago. He had never thought about changing it as it always just seemed right. His hair and blue eyes did make it hard to mistake him for any other color. He didn’t mind though, that’s the color he most identified with anyway. As she brushed some of his hair away, Neil fought the urge to look at his feet and break any eye contact they were sharing. Things were getting intimate rather quickly, but he didn’t care. Staying away from the opposite sex was hard, especially for a healthy young man like himself, but most girls weren’t okay with a guy getting close to them and forgetting everything the next day. Neil had closed his eyes, enjoying the feel of her touch, it was soft and gentle. He only opened his eyes when he felt the bed move. He looked next to him to see Rizzo sitting on her bed with a small notebook in her hands. He looked at bed around his body, then set the sketchbook down and felt his front pockets. His little notebook wasn’t there, which meant that book in her hands was his. He didn’t mind too much that she had it, since she didn’t seem like a person that would run around telling everyone his thoughts, he had just completely forgotten he had it on him. Neil always carried the little notebook with him, that way any important things that happened through out the day would get written down right away. Often times, he would put the notebook in the pocket of the pants he knew he was going to wear, just so he wouldn’t forget it, but that meant he often forgot he had it with him. “I get a picture?” He asked. He was both excited and interested. From the angle he was sitting at he couldn’t see what she was drawing, so he kept himself preoccupied with returning his attention to the sketchbook he had set down just moments ago. He didn’t want to bother her or distract her by staring at her and trying to see what she was drawing for him. He had been looking through some more drawings when he heard her say that he had caught her attention. ‘Didn’t she mention that she draws whatever catches her attention?’ Neil wondered. “So, you drew me?” He asked. His face showed a mixture of surprise and awe.

But those feelings were magnified and mixed with shock as Rizzo straddled his lap. “I…uh…h-huh?” He tried to say something, but nothing would come out. Neil couldn’t even comprehend what she’d said, his brain wasn’t functioning right, possibly from the blood flow abruptly heading somewhere else. He became even more flustered as Rizzo pushed him back onto her bed and kissed him. At first, he couldn’t believe what was happening, but his instincts kicked in just seconds later as he kissed her back. Neil’s face was heating up as a blush crawled over his face. His hands showed more confidence as one rested in the small of Rizzo’s back and the other nestled in her hair. His hands held her to him. He hadn’t wanted this to happen originally, but now that it was he didn’t want to let her go. This place could be so lonely.

Another early start to the day, there was rarely ever any rest for those workers who were doctors at the facility. Doctors were always on call no matter what time of day or night, they had to be prepared to jump out of bed if something were to happen to one of the patients. The night before one patient fell down the stairs and ended up needing stitches because their arm caught the railing and they ended up with one hell of a gash, she had to wonder if they’d done it purposely for self mutilation purposes and to feel the pain or if it was for attention or if it was truly an accident. Oh well the problem was solved and the patient had been cared for. Reina yawned as she got up stretching, she was clad in a pair of flannel collared button up pajamas. She slipped her feet into slippers and looked over.

Gracias dio that Scar was still asleep. She was in a good mood this morning and she didn’t need his…interesting personality throwing her off and putting her into a very foul mood. He had a way of doing that the sadistic p***k, he knew how to get under her skin….most of the time. She honestly couldn’t stand his personality, he was attractive yes, and had he not been a complete and total a** she’d probably have dated him but because he is the way he is she is disguised by him. She ended up taking a shower and getting dressed, today she wore a dark blue green wrap style top with a black pencil skirt, she slipped her feet into her favorite black pumps and she slipped on her white doctors lab coat. She did her hair pulling it back into a ponytail she put in her diamond stud earring and emerged from the bathroom in time to greet the angry beast.

“Well, look who decided to grace me with his presence.” She said with a bored tone, “Good morning and goodbye,” She stated glancing at him from the corner of her eye as she walked past him and out the door, it was still early around eight and there was probably allot to do but first, she headed to the kitchen to get some breakfast, she ended up grabbing a blueberry muffin and a cup of coffee. She needed the coffee in the morning especially when she didn’t sleep well enough the night before. She smirked and got to work. A few hours later it was around ten, she had finished with another patient who had apparently dislocated her shoulder, how she wouldn’t say but still. Reina sighed softly, she decided to take a walk and on that walk she saw Chang, “Good morning Chang,” She smiled, she immediately noticed he was slightly irked by something, “What’s wrong?” “The chairwoman is here, a few days early and she seems to be in one hell of a mood.” Reina groaned, great, she hated when the board members came to visit, “Please tell me she’s not staying.” She frowned but when Chang didn’t meet her eyes she knew, “Great…just great.”

She stated softly, “Well this will be interesting.” She stated softly, she walked away and turned a corner and ended up slamming into a wall of muscle “Son of a—“ She groaned and looked up at one person she did not want to see, “Well hello to you too,” She had to hold out the a*****e part, then her eyes lit up with amusement, a smirk twisting her lips up, “Scar dear.” She had to bite her lip to keep herself from grinning, she took a step forward and leaned in her lips hovering just before his ear, “If I were you I’d be on your best behavior, the chairwoman is here and apparently she’s staying for a while.” She smirked and pulled away patting his shoulder, the touch alone sent bad chills down her spine. But she couldn’t help be happy she knew that would probably shake him, he’d have to be on his best behavior because the chair would be watching and he could lose his job. “Later.” She stated walked away. She found herself walking past the kitchen, on the way there she spotted a black haired female, “Hello.” She called out a small smile twisting her lips up, she walked into the kitchen and smiled, “Good morning,” She went over to the girl looking she saw the hot chocolate and took a cup, “Would you mind some company?” She raised a brow. It was rare that she got to interact with the patients.

After popping the question, no not that one but the one on her curiosity of his color selection, it got her thinking about the other people here. What colors did everyone else get and why? Thinking about this for herself now since she’d never once thought about putting a color with a person. Sidney was the first person that same to mind for her, being her roommate and always watching over her from afar when she could.’ Purple maybe? Purple being the first color that came to mind when she thought of the young girl but there were no reasons to back up her color choice. This color thing wasn’t for her, and she didn’t keep trying to match people with colors in her mind for too much longer. Shaking her mind from her thoughts and turning her attention back to Neil, looking on and studying his face. He’d yet to answer her question like he didn’t want to or rather he didn’t know what to say or how to explain it. Which she could completely relate to, when you often had to explain things, it became hard on how you should word it for other people. It could make sense to you but then to another person it could come out almost like a completely different language. Catching his give her quick glance before taking his eye to his own feet, made another small smile form on her lips, she found it cute. Especially when it was a guying doing the whole shy, look up then away thing.” The sun huh?” Reaching up and pushing from of her brown strands of hair behind her ear as she thought about, her smiling getting bigger.” I like that.” The last part had actually made a very faint blush creep to her cheeks. She’d always been pretty weak against super cheesy things, no matter how stupid they were. Meeting his eyes again quickly as Neil stole another glance. Biting her bottom lip gently, her wave of depression she had been having early seemed to be fading away ever so slowly now.

While Neil looked through her books, she kept to leaning in her spot against the wall, unloading her questions upon him to occupy herself while he did the same with her work. She could’ve easily gone to sit next to him and gave small commentary about her work, but she didn’t like to do that. She hated talking about her work, why she did things this way to that way, or what it meant. Nothing ever had a specific meaning; if she liked it then she liked it. Simple as that, but some people could just never understand that. ” You said your name when you were yelling through my door.” Speaking up but allowing him to introduce himself over again, in a proper way. ” Well Neil, I’m Rizzo and I guess this makes us no longer strangers.” Watching him flip through the pages and asking what he was in here for, her mind went over the options as she made her own assumptions on what I could be, Rizzo doubted any of her own guessed would be right and those thoughts were confirmed as Neil started speaking. After looking up from the page he was on of course.” Well a good mix of things then aren’t you.” Sure she’d been told of only two problems about herself but here he was sporting three different ones at a time, it couldn’t be easy. A small sigh slipped past her lips as he went asking the same question in return, which she would answer. It was only fair and it wasn’t like it mattered if people know, she’d come to know and accept something was wrong with her so it did her no pain anymore to admit it to anyone else. That was always step one in these recovery programs wasn’t it? Being able to admit your problems to yourself and out loud.” I’ve been told countless time and have finally been able to admit to myself that I suffer from depression and . . .” Making a little pause , leaving just enough time to cross her arms across her chest and look over to stare at the wall instead of at him when she admitted her next problem. ” Sex addiction.” Would knowing the second one make him leave now? Fearing of things happening because of her, and it was highly likely since she brought it up; thoughts were starting to kick back into gear, like it always did when she admitted it out loud.

Blue, yes the hair and his eyes, but there was something else about the color too.” A little, but those eyes of yours too. There is something else there but I can’t explain it.” Chuckling again, as she let her fingers go from his hair to lightly slide down the side of his cheek. The reaction she received after offering to draw him something made her smile. He was so excited about the whole thing which made her want to give him one even more; this could also be a way for him to remember her better too. He’d already somehow thought of her and art so why not give him some of hers to make her chances better? She didn’t confirm his words when he had actually guessed correctly on what she’d drawn for him; instead that was when she finally made her move she’d been holding back on for so long.

Straddling him, she let out a chuckle at his surprise and inability to form any real words or sentences. Falling to the bed with him closing the gap between their lips, she held her eyes closed not knowing if this would end well or not on her end. The feeling of her lips against someone else’s was a feeling she’d missed for so long, it drove her mad at the touch. An when she felt him actually return her kiss, she smiled into it, letting her lips part from his for only a second before closing the gap again and deeping the second one. Rizzo’s body was sensitive to his touches since she’d been without this contact for so long. Easily being able to feel his hands on her body, and the familiar rush that she usually felt while in the act of doing something like this. Biting on his bottom lips gently, the pulled on it before removing her lips from his mouth. Letting them go to his neck, leaving a mark of her own. While her hands went to explore his body, while she was in control. Rizzo placed one of her hands up by the size of his head as her other round the rim on his pants, tugging gently at them as he mouth found his once again. She could feel her heat beating in her chest, as she continued to go farther with him. It seemed Neil had finally taken it upon himself to take some of the control over the situation, meeting his eyes with quick glance, before feeling herself being moved and now when she looked up, it was his face she saw. Grinning up at him before things faded to black in her mind.

Her face was red, as her breathing was still in process of slowing down.” Why don’t you write that in your little book?” Letting an actual laugh out as she leaned over and nipped at his lips gently again before sliding out from under his warmth. Standing up from her bed, she automatically got chills from the cooler air around her. Bending over and picking her clothes up from up from off the floor. As soon as she was faced away from Neil the feeling of guilt and shame instantly washed over her face. Like I did every time she’d gone all the way now, it never lasted for long. She’d feel guilty, unfulfilled and looked for more later on. It almost seemed like an endless process, shaking her mind of the feeling; she let her normal expression take back over while slowly, slipping her clothes back on. Walking towards the bathroom only after she’d gotten her panties and bra secured back on. The rest of her clothes slung over her shoulder. She’d need to make sure she was freshened up and not looking like she just had sex before she left her room. Checking the time quickly, she would have to leave soon, the normal announcement for patients to be out of their rooms and to lunch would soon be coming on. If you didn’t show up then they went looking for you.” I can’t have you leaving looking like that.” Smiling as she stole the beanie off Neil’s head and rand her finger easily through his blue locks, before fixing the hat perfectly back on his head.” There, I can’t be getting in trouble you know.” Giving him a quick wink before slipping her shoes onto her feet. After that she definitely was hungry now.

The short black haired girl took small sips of her warm drink; occasionally letting out a small "ah." as little clouds of steam flew out of her mouth. The warmness of the drink relaxed her body and let her mind wonder off into thought. She was not exactly sure why, but Catherine had been having her flashbacks and dreams a little more than usual. It occurred usually every night before bed. Because of this, she loses much sleep; which explains her waking up midday today. At least she more or less got rid of the habit of screaming to herself. Nowadays she just tenses up and her body starts getting cold. She remembered the first time she came to this asylum; she went nuts. Locked herself in her room until some of the workers busted the door open. She had been in therapy ever sense then. Sitting near the chilly counter, her thoughts drifted towards her roommate, Mr. White. She had no clue why she was roommates with such a creepy guy. She had heard some unpleasant rumors about him and decided to be careful. Why weren’t one of the kids who often went to the confinement center roommates with him? It was odd. Then again, everything and everyone at this place was out of whack.

Catherine quickly shoved away these useless thoughts that were starting to give her a headache. She carefully took a sip of her hot chocolate. The sweet liquid warmed up her cold pale body. She put the cup down onto the counter and did not mind the red lipstick stain it left on the glossy surface of the white mug. She looked up to see some of the kitchen staff preparing for lunch. Looking back down into her mug where she could almost see the bottom, Catherine decided to pass on lunch. She wasnt very hungry. In fact she did not eat much for she wasn’t very hungry most of the time. She usually ate a small portion to just satisfy her hungry, but never until she was full. She never really had much of an appetite except for sweet things. The doctors said it was weird because she was healthy, well physically anyway.

She wrapped both her arms around herself and started staring off into space. “You have been a bad girl, go into your room!” the woman shoved the little girl harshly into a dark small space and closed the door before her. Before she left, a sound of a locking door could be heard; engulfing the little girl into the darkness. “m-mother, please let me out!” the little girl pleaded, “p-please..” Catherine’s eyes widened as the image of this little girl who was crying for her step mother to let her out of the room was flashing in her mind. It was as if for a moment she could not hear anything or anybody as this roll of film was playing in her mind. Her eyes were glared like clear marbles until, “Would you mind some company?” she heard a voice asking. Catherine jumped a little as the voice startled her. She looked up to see one of the workers peering down at her waiting for a response.Staring at the woman for a bit, she blinked her eyes a couple of times bringing life back into them again. Catherine carefully nodded and replied with a soft, “sure. I don't mind” The girl looked back down and this time at her fidgeting feet.

                                                                Damn he was good.

In all honesty Tai Zheng really didn’t have faith in his tactics, he was just pulling ideas out of his a**. And much to his surprise it seemed to work for little Patrick here. Well, looks like he was on quite the lucky streak today. For the moment, Tai Zheng refrained himself from doing a happy dance, he was sure if he did something like that in front of Sooh right now she would hit him. Okay maybe not hit him, but she wouldn’t be happy with him, that was for sure. Looking up towards his boss lady, he gave her a cocky grin, raising an eyebrow at her as if to say ‘You were saying’. Eh, so he couldn’t do his happy dance, but he could still be a cocky b*****d. At times like this, Tai actually thought about becoming a therapist. Most of the patients here seemed comfortable enough around him, why? Because he didn’t treat them like patients, something that a lot of people found as strange. Take Patrick here for example, the kid who was nervous around people was fine around Tai Zheng. Case rested.

Turning his attention fully back onto the little cricket boy, Tai Zheng smile vanished for a moment, wait, what if it didn’t work. Well crap on a cracker, he didn’t think that through. Again, this was why he wasn’t a therapist. “Uhhhh. . . Well if it doesn’t work next time, come find me and we’ll figure something else!” Yeah that sounded like a good idea. He nodded his head as he spoke, he didn’t mind helping the patients out with their stuff, that is as long as it didn’t endanger his life. “We’ll figure something out together, yo!” And with that, he ruffled the younger boys hair, laughing slightly before looking back up at Sooh, as she answered his question about the suit. See that was a good idea, Tai would have just suggested stealing one, or making one out of newspaper. What? He was the education lead; he didn’t have to think things through properly. He was about 80 % sure it was in his job description and if it wasn’t, it totally should be. I mean yeah, he liked to help people, but he would rather make them laugh and smile than make them nervous and fidgeting by talking about their deep down feelings. It just felt so, well weird to the Dragon boy.

Once more his attention was caught by Patrick at his proposal to lunch. Holy crap it was lunch already? Damn how long had he slept in this morning, he totally missed breakfast. Too bad, he was really looking forward to just eating a buttload of food today. Holding onto the other boys hand he game him a smile before nodding his head. “Sure thing, Pat! I’m starving, I’m pretty sure I could eat an entire cow” He half whined as he talked, obviously exaggerating . . . Or was he? He started pushing himself up from the floor but stopped mid way when he heard Sooh began to speak. Well ********, so much for eating. Groaning loudly, Tai allowed himself to fall back down onto the ground, his hand still latched to Patricks. “Fineee~ “ He dragged the word out of drama, watching Sooh walk away before letting out a loud sigh. “I guess eating for me just isn’t in the stars today, eh bud?” Tai Zheng half grumbled as he glanced at Patrick as he stood to his feet, running his free hand through his hair trying to figure out what to do with the situation. He didn’t want Patrick to eat alone just in case the voices came back, but if he didn’t go help Vega find Boo, Sooh would have his a** served to him on a silver platter. If only there was some way to do both. It was then, at that moment, his problems were solved.

Oh Ari, you had perfect timing.

Upon seeing his close friend approach them, his face contorting into confusion for a moment as she spoke in Chinese breifly. Sure, his parents had forced him to learn both Chinese and Japanese at a young age, however, to Tai Zheng it sill wasn’t a pro at either. You see, when you have attention issues, it makes it kind of hard to master three languages. Once he learned how to say ‘butts’ in both languages, he was gone. “Ari, I swear your Chinese is so much better than mine.” It was true though, he had learned Japanese far better than he had learned Chinese. How? He had no ******** idea. Wrapping his arm around Patricks shoulders, he shook his head towards the girl. “I can’t go, which totally sucks. I have to go find Boo-Boo with Vega, but I’m sure Patrick here would love the company. “ He nudged the boy slightly with his hip before letting out a small yelp of surprise as Ari linked their arms together. Wiggling out, he gave a small laugh as he shook his head only to move around the girl and ruffle Patricks hair one more time with both hands. “Don’t worry, I’ll be back in a little bit, and we can figure out how exactly to get you a dapper suit, ya?”

Turning to take his exit, Tai almost s**t his pants at the entrance of a frightening woman. And frightening was an understatement. Tai Zheng stood speechless, subconsciously moving himself protectively in front of Patrick, this woman seemed crazy, and he wasn’t about to let her have free range over the patients. He watched silently as Ari and the woman bantered back and forth for a moment before the tall blonde woman took off to go find Sooh. “Well then, I think I know who to avoid from now on out.” He grumbled half to himself, sending a trademark smirk towards the other two. Finally finding the ability to move, Tai Zheng moved away from the two and sent them a wave “I’ll be back in a few minutes, then I’ll join you guys for lunch!” He spoke fast before taking off in a run down the halls to the lobby to go help Vega.

Much to his pleasure he found Blair in the lobby looking for the little monster. “Hey Blair! Sooh sent me to come help you play with miss Boo- boo” He spoke in a typical sing song manner, scanning the room in an attempt to find said kid. Jumping down so he was on all fours, he began to scan the floor, hoping to find any sign of the kid. Teenagers he was great with, however children, they were a bit of a challenge, for the only reason being that you couldn’t be harsh with them. Plus you couldn`t make the same jokes you made with them as you did with teenagers and adults. With his face pressed against the floor Tai Zheng continued to scan.

He really did not have the attention span for this kind of stuff today.

Boo yawned a bit in bordom. Se couldnt play hide and seek with out a seeker! Whats the fun in that? Boo sat there very still, liking the small time to herself. For now, she would be hiding under the small end table holding the pot of flowers. A silk cloth covering all that was under it. Not her best hiding place she could admit. But there wasnt many options at the moment. Boo stiffened as she heard footsteps coming towards her. A bright smile pulled at her lips. It seems her day just got a bit more interesting! "Alright now where oh where is Boo?" Made there way threw the hall. Boo stiffled a giggle. That was boos number one rule! dont make any noises when someone was trying to find you. But sometimes the girl couldnt help it. lisenting closely, she regonized the voice as Blair. Boo just called her Blair. It was hard to make nicknames for everyone. The foot steps slowly got closer, and she heard the cloth on a table close to hers being lifted up. "Could she be under the table?" Her voice rang out. Boo couldnt really help it this time. She let out a small giggle. Her hands slapping her mouth shut right when she heard the laugh. Being called the best hider in the world made Boo smile even more. Because, she actually might be the best one in the world. Though when she thought about it, that was one talent she was amazing at. Was there a job that could use a hider? Boo let herself peek threw the cloth, her small hand moving it to the side just to see Blair stand up and tap her chin. It was time to move. Throwing her hand in her pocket, Boo fished out small rock. She had gathered some rocks when her and her watcher walked outside once. Peeking out of her hiding spot once more, she threw the rock towards anouther table across the room. Hoping that maybe that would cause enough of a distraction to move to the next table. counting to three in her head, she swiftly crawled to the next table. The one that Blair had already checked. She really was a sneaky little ninja.

Boo bit her lip. Not because she was nervious. Deffinently not that. It was because she was afraid of laughing again. Being a child in an asylum, she needed to find ways to entertain herself. She certainly didnt have a mother or father to do that for her. She was really glad she had Janey. Why she called her Janey? Boo really didnt know. She fancied the name. Rizzo was nice to her, and seemed to look out for her. of course Boo wasnt aware she was a sex addict eather. She was pretty sure Sex was a type of cheerio. Of course she wasnt sure enough to go and ask someone for that. But she would never be Boo's mother. Boo had to live with that. Boo stood up straight at the sign of a new visitor. "Hey Blair! Sooh sent me to come help you play with miss Boo- boo” Boo knew who he was! His voice was always sing songy like that. It was the dragon! When she thought of his name, she thought of dragons. Boo became very excited. Having two people try and find her was just as fun. Like Mike and Kitty. Boo felt her heart drop a bit. Where were they now? The small girl snapped out of her funk, and looked at the bright side of things.

Boo felt her stomach growl, and began to debate if she wanted to keep playing..or eat cheerios. It seemed like that was her daily question these days. With anouther growl of her stomach, her decision was final. But ofcourse she would end with a bang. Boo layed flat on her stomach, looking under the clothe to see Dragon on all fours. Crawling around to find her. Boo almost had a "Mwhaha" moment in her head. Boo waited for a bit. Humming in her head as she waited. This had to be perfect. Just as the dragon boy crawled near the table, boo herself went on all fours. Once again, the girl counted to three in her head. "one...two...three!" Boo popped out from under the table going "Rawr!" Hopefully scarying the begebbers out of him. That was Boos version of a dragon. Swiftly she stood up and jumped over him (maybe stepping on his back a little to get over). her voice laughing with pure delight. Running up to Blair, she came to a sudden stop. Her smile bright. "After Cheerios." she said with a nod. Though the girl knew Blair was probably busy. So was mister Dragon...Who probably wasnt too happy with her right now.

Boo began to skip away towards where they held the food. Being confronted with a bright smile from one of her watchers. "What will it be Boo-Bear? Cheerios or...cheerios?" The lady asked. Boo let out a small laugh, and the watcher joined in. "Cheerios it is." and poured a bowl for her. Making Boo scrunch her nose a bit. Why couldnt she just pour her own cheerios? The lady didnt put any milk in the bowl. Thank goodness. Boo hated when the cheerios got soggy from the milk. But of course the lady wasnt going to give her the whole box. Boo would probably eat it if she was given the chance. "Thank you." Said Boo. Which caused the watcher to raise an eyebrow. Even Boo didnt speek to them very often. Walking away Boo spotted her eating spot. Under the table. Crawling under, she sat crisscrossed. The bowl in between her legs. This was one of the eating tables, and didnt have those clothes like in the lobby. Click Click Click. Boo's eyes raised from her cereal to see who was making the noise. Click Click Click. Boo tensed up a bit. Could it be that horrible lizard again? Boo looked around, trying to spot it. It was aggrivating that the monster could blend into walls. Tilting her head in confusion, she ate anouther cheerio. Randall usually didnt make that clicking noise. It sounded more like a crab walking. Her head peeked out from under the table. Just seeing the silouette of a crab like creature. It looked like it was wearing clothes. In one blink of an eye, the shadow was gone. Causing Boo to gasp, and look both ways to see where it went. Suddenly it popped up right infront of her. Boo tried her best to conceal her scream. Knowing screaming didnt help. Instead she threw her bowl at it. She clamped her hands over her eyes. After a moment or two, she opened her middle and index finger to see if it was still there. Boo let out a sigh in relief. Crawling out of the table in a hurry to go and hide from the monster. Just as she was about to run off, the watcher grabbed her wrist. "Boo what happened to your cheerios?" The small girl looked at her feet a if they where the most important thing in the world. A small tear fell from her cheek. What could she say? A crab monster wearing a tuxedo came and tried (very much succeded) too scare her? Boo was smart enough to know they wouldnt believe her. Plus, it was way to many words. So she just sniffed a little bit and said softly. "Dropped them." Then cracked an unconvincing smile. The lady looked at her straight in the eyes, trying to read her emotions. Finally she nodded. Eather she knew Boo didnt want to talk about it, or she believed what Boo was saying. "ok ok." The lady said. "Dont need to get upset. I'll get you anouther bowl." With that the lady left. Leaving Boo standing alone, watching every corner to see if the monsters would come back.

where; in the poolxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxwith; maiaxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxfeeling; grateful, slightly embarrassed, panicked

Jamie didn't seem to be able to stop blushing. He scolded himself silently, staring back down at his soaked jeans and shoes, that it didn't make any sense for him to be blushing when he was shivering as well. One of them had to stop, and he wasn't sure which one. The way she was talking, it was probably going to be the shivering first, because she kept on saying things that tapped into Jamie's humble personality and his desire to please and impress people, which caused him to blush. The girl told him her name and he cocked his head to the side, not looking up. He had never heard a name like that. He liked it. He smiled a tiny bit and lifted his eyes hesitantly, as if he were about to get hit or something. She said he was the really well mannered and he smiled a little bit more, just one side of his mouth lifting up, and nodded his head at her.

"Yes, ma'am. My daddy taught me how to treat a beautiful lady, such as yourself."

He said with a smile, not even aware that what he said could be considered flirting. He was only twelve, he wasn't even that interested in girls yet. The more Jamie talked, the more you could hear his slight southern twang. He didn't talk all that much, so it usually wasn't noticeable. This was the most he had talked since he had gotten there, actually. He looked a little surprised when she offered to go to the library with him. He didn't think that older kids, like herself, really liked to hang out with young, 'uncool' kids, like Jamie. But she seemed serious about it, so Jamie gave her another smile.

                                    "That sounds great, Miss Maia."

He said cheerfully, glad that he was going to have some company. Maybe he would actually make a friend here. He almost laughed at the thought; a friend at an asylum. It seemed ridiculous. But here he was, having a conversation with a girl. She looked at him and unconsciously straightened up. Her eyes were piercing.

"There are more towels, so we could fashion you a wrap and cape out of those. You could be Towel Man, you know, if anyone asked why you had so many towels. Or, my clothes are dry. They aren’t super girly. I swear. And they’d probably be pretty lose, you could pull off the whole sweater set sagging thing that’s apparently fashionable with guys these days. And it’d just be long enough to get you back to your room so you could grab some dry clothes."

The suggestions made Jamie laugh...really, the first laugh he had had in a long time. It was soft and high and more like a giggle, but it was still a sound of enjoyment. He was surprised that he had met someone who seemed almost nice here. He had met a few people that weren't exactly nice...Calcifer scared him, Darren was a little nicer but not by much and Olive didn't talk to anyone but those two. And one of the guards, Mr. White...well, Jamie had been scared so bad that he had ran up to his room and hid under the bed. Something about the man scared him, and his attitude didn't help. He was cruel and wicked and Jamie tried to stay away from as much as possible. Jamie looked back at Maia and thought about his choices. He didn't really want to go back to his room soaking wet. Miss Sooh or someone else would get mad at him. He liked towel man, but it seemed like borrowing her clothes were he best idea. Jamie wasn't worried about what people thought about him when it came to what he looked like.

"Um...if it's alright with you, Miss Maia, I think I'll borrow your clothes. If it's okay. Are you sure?"

He said quietly and uncertainly. Maybe she was just saying it to be nice and she didn't really mean it. After all, all she was wearing was a towel and her underthings.

Tau, otherwise known as Scar and for very obvious reasons, was sleeping in. He knew most of the staff woke early which made no difference to him, but he would sleep in until he was needed. As long as he got the job done, or undone as he tended to do, who cared? This morning though, it was hardly even ten o’clock, when he heard someone moving. He opened an eye and much to his joy it was his lovely roomie. He smirked as he watched her head to the bathroom. She was a gorgeous little thing, all sultry and spunky, but he’d rather have been asleep. Tau buried his head in his pillow trying to drift off to sleep. A bit later he heard more movement and realized that he wouldn’t be getting anymore sleep. Reina hadn’t been so loud Tau couldn’t sleep, but once he woke up there was no going back to sleep. Tau sat up in bed and looked over at Reina, she said some smart-a** greeting making Tau look at her, he snapped his teeth at her and smirked. His eyes lit up and anyone that had seen the man, even if it was just once, could tell he was enjoying this. “I know you can’t start your day without seeing my smiling face, sweetheart ~” He called to her as she left their room. Tau stretched once before climbing out of bed. His lean and muscular frame only partially hidden by a pair of black boxer briefs, what could he say, he liked to sleep with as little clothing as possible. He scratched his surprisingly hairless chest as he moved towards the bathroom. Tau had found that most of the ladies loved little to no hair and only in the right places of course. Aside from his head full of hair, his beard, and a touch of hair under his arms and on his legs, he was as smooth as the day he was born. Which did not go unappreciated by his little cuddle bunnies, when he’d allow them the marvelous privilege of getting to spend the night with him.

That really got under Reina’s skin. If he had a girl over it was always before Reina was in the room, or the girl would get uncomfortable, but they would just lay in bed afterwards. Reina would walk in after a long, hard day at work and Tau could see the most incredible look of disgust on her face! Really, it was too easy. Tau chuckled just thinking about it. As he entered the bathroom, he shed his underwear, dropping them on the floor, and entered the bath. He took his time getting ready, after all, he loved to primp. He had to be in prime condition to make the most out of his little toys. They didn’t want to hang around you as much if you smelled and looked like a dirty gym sock, not that Tau would ever let himself smell like something that disgusting. Tau came out of the shower toweling off his and letting his body air dry. Reina wasn’t here, so covering himself was of no importance. ‘She’d probably enjoy the show if she was.’ He thought with a smirk. Tau ambled about the room picking out his outfit for the day. He started with a simple pair of black boxer briefs which reminded him of the ones laying on the bathroom floor. “I’ll leave those for Reina. She’ll get a little kick out of ‘em, I’m sure.” Next came a pair of black skinny jeans, a forest green, v-neck shirt with a matching bracelet, a gold, lion tooth necklace, a pair of black shoes, and a black leather jacket to top it all off. He wandered back into the bathroom, careful not to disturb his underwear, and went about doing his hair. It hadn’t taken him too long. All he really had to was rough it up with some gel and hairspray and he was golden. His hair had a few dreads scattered through it which seemed to speed up the process since they required little daily maintenance and meant less hair to deal with. Tau gave himself a once over in the mirror. His outfit looked lovely, as always, his hair immaculate, and his face was his face.

Tau had been called Scar from a young age, because of his face, more specifically his left eye. When he was younger, he was jealous of his brother. His brother was the star in their father’s eyes, he could do no wrong, while Tau could do no right. One night Tau had enough and set out to run away from home. He had packed his bags, waited until his parents were asleep, and snuck out. He hadn’t been walking down the road for long when a van pulled up next to him. Before he knew it he was being tied up and tossed in the back of the van. There were about three guys in the back, one was brandishing a wicked looking knife, and all of them had been drinking heavily. They kicked Tau around and said hateful things to him. Tau just glared up at them until the one with the knife had enough. “You smug punk!” The knife-wielder screamed. “I’ll show you to be so uppity!” He had tried to gouge out Tau’s eye, but something in the road caused the driver to swerve and the man with the knife to miss, for the most part. One of the guys, the more sane one of the group, kicked Tau out of the van and left him on the side of the road. Tau had a large gash from the top of his cheek to well above his eyebrow. A few hours later, as Tau drifted in and out of consciousness, his father appeared. “I see you’ve learned your lesson.” He heard his father say as he scooped him up off the road. Tau only stayed at home long enough to get fixed up and ended up leaving again. This time he made his escape with no problems. Though if the same guys showed Tau was ready. Now Tau worked here where no one looked down on him for doing wrong. In part, that was because of what a sociopath he could be. After all, what good sociopath didn’t have a charming personality to lure in their prey? ‘One that doesn’t get their prey.’ He thought.

Tau had left his room and made his way down to the ground level. He needed some breakfast and a nice little mouse to entertain him until he had his meetings. Turning the corner he felt a small frame bump into him, only when she started talking did he realize it Reina. “We really should stop bumping into to each other like this…” Scar responded to her greeting. “You just might break one of these times.” He whispered with a grin. When Reina dropped the news about the Chairwoman showing up Tau fought every urge not to snarl at her. Instead he just continued to grin his joyful mask falling for the briefest of seconds. He couldn’t let her know she had said something that he found unpleasant, even though he was sure she knew what those words meant to him. Tau would have to be very careful. This Chairwoman, whom he had never met, could be one of those righteous, uppity women and as soon as she was on to Tau he’d be out the door. Now, if by chance, she was a woman of loose morals there was always the possibility that charming his way into her pants meant his bad behavior would go unnoticed. Of course, that was only if she saw him misbehaving. He was fairly good at playing nice when he needed even if that was never any fun. Whatever. He needed food before he thought about this anymore.

He finally made his way into the kitchen. His eyes scanned the kitchen and landed on a few promising little toys to play with. How could he possibly decide?

As she stood up from looking underneath the table the woman couldn't help but to pause and listen carefully to the voice which was coming from her radio. It seemed that Sooh had finally gotten her message about the missing patients. It seemed that they where now sending every available hand to help out with this situation. A missing patient was never a good sign, mostly because of the people who where in here. There was everything that remained along the patients, from sex addicts to cannibal's and they all had to stare the same roof tops. It was the worst decision that this hospital had ever made however at the same time she did notice some mental break threw that helped with the evidence that placing them together was beneficial. Over the years she had seen every type of patient that has existed and no matter how strange they where, they always came out with a friend here. Someone to be by their side threw the hell of this place and help them out in a strange way. Even the ones who where here now seemed to be getting along with some of the others. Progress was being made over time and that was all that counted. ' Guess I really should thank this place. Helped out my brother after all,' She thought as as she pressed the button to the radio.

"Copy that. " She said with a small pause while lifting her head up. " Mr .White did you hear that? Patients James Cooper and Maiara Robins are missing and need to be checked in soon. The meeting will be soon and so we need to start gathering up the rest of them. When she was done the woman lifted up thumb off the radio, now having to make a mental note to keep her ear opened for any response from Mr White. The man was just given a new recruit to train to maybe he was still in the containment center trying to teach the kid the ropes. Either that or the man was asleep on his break. She sworn that she had caught him a few times passing some Z's however he always swore that it was not the case. Not that she would fight him on it. The man was a tricky person and she had learned within the first year of him working with her that it was a lost cause in arguing with him. She some how always seemed to lose for she lacked proof or his little hench men came in to distract the situation. ' Shouldn't call those kids that,' She thought while shaking her head to the left side. They always seemed to be his little side kicks, which to her meant that Mr White couldn't be too bad of a man if the patients adored him that much.

When hearing a familour voice the woman seemed to pause and turn around to stare at the person who was speaking. There a few feet away from her was the most infamous worker they had at their little Aslylum: Tai Zheng. He was a fairly young man in appearance, being only at the age of 21. He was the second oldest person here, minus one of their newer doctors who had joined them. The male wasn't a new person either as she had to work with him for four years now. To most he was fairly annoying, and he was to her for the first year and half, however over time the bright haired male seemed to grow on people. The cheerfulness he brought was unquestioned and she did hope that he would rise in to power here as the patients seemed to enjoy his off personality. Plus the boy treated them as human beings which was always a grand sign of a good character. "Haha thanks Tai Zheng, I appreciate the ,....Help? " As she said this the female couldn't help but to tilt her head to the right side, watching as the male ended up on his hands and knee's on the floor of the room. She then watched with pure fascination as he started to crawl on the floor, searching for the young child who was playing hide and seek with them, currently.

Suddenly a small figure had popped out from underneath one of the tables that Tai Zheng was going to check under. For some reasons she couldn't help but to jump a bit as well, tensing her body as the surprise did get to her. She swore that she had checked under that table but then again the young little girl was a sneaky as they came. It was one of the reason why she hated it when children came to this facility. They where not meant to be locked up in the same place for too long, needing spaces to run around and to visit places like zoo's and parks. But alas it could have been worst. At least this child always appeared to be full of joy and not one of the children who where forced in the looney bin, crying their nights away and becoming a mess. It happened all the time here. Some parents just can't handle the pressure and responsibility of raise children who are different and force them here for the rest of their life's. The patient Nied was a prime example of this, being locked in here since he was eight years old and the boy was most likely never going to leave here. Even if he did the pressure of returning to society was going to break him, and the rest of them who where stuck here their whole life's. ' Shame really' She thought while watching the young girl run up to her as she laughed in a childish manner.

"Cheerios? " She asked with a small laugh before nodding her head. She knew that the little girl wouldn't run off with food on her mind. It was the one time that she could expect her to tell the truth and not run off to play a game. Plus the chances of a doctor being there was high, or at least other patients to keep the girl amused until the meeting started for them. With a smirk on her face the female ended up looking down at Tai Zheng who seemed to still be in shock from what the little girl had done. "You alright? " She asked while reaching out her right hand, offering to him to help get himself off from the ground. "Scary little girl huh? Kids cute but that even shocked me for a second. I hope she doesn't try that on Scar or Mr White. " Saying this as a small laugh came form her. The mental image was a bit hysterical though. For some reasons he thought of the two males as being scared as they did and that image alone was enough to make her day.
