I'LL KEEP YOU MY DIRTY LITTLE SECRET
DON'T TELL ANYONE OR YOU'LL BE JUST ANOTHER REGRET
DON'T TELL ANYONE OR YOU'LL BE JUST ANOTHER REGRET

For once in his life, all Tai Zheng wanted was a quiet, happy, non-eventful lunch. Did he get that? Nope. Because apparently the entire world was bent against him, thus, no quiet time for Tai Zheng. Hm, must be karma.
Despite wanting to sit at his quiet, well-crowded table with Pat and Ari, the sounds he could hear behind him was causing the blonde boy to have some, well, troubles with concentrating. He could hear from the table over a conflict erupt pulling his attention away from his food and his friends to see where the noise was coming from. From what he could see, it looked like Alek had started a little scrap with Neil. Oh god, from the looks of things, aside from Tau, Tai was the only staff member in the room. Like hell he was going to get in between a scrap between Neil and Alek. Maybe if he made himself small enough, he would go unnoticed. Turning his attention back to his food, Tai Zheng pulled his glasses off his face and placed them on the table. Rubbing his forehead, he began to chant a mantra to himself in his head “Don’t let Sooh come in, don’t let sooh come in “ however his mantra failed, and lo and behold, his cousin in law was storming into the kitchen. Well, so much for a quiet morning.
Upon hearing Sooh’s voice, Tai shrunk down into his chair cautiously looking over his shoulder to watch the scene unfold. At first, it looked like Sooh and Chang had things under control, Neil was removed from the situation and was now giving a stern ‘rant’ to her staff. Tai flinched at her words, sending the dup a nervous grin, however that was when things seemed to get even worse. Within one-moment things looked like they were calming down and the next, Alek’s boot was in Changs stomach. Within that moment, Tai’s stomach clenched as he gripped onto the back of his chair and flew up onto his feet. He wasn’t about to watch his family member get beaten up, no; he was going to help stand up for his cousin. Without even looking back at Ari or Pat Tai Zheng went to take some steps forward however froze as he saw Sooh holding Chang back from doing exactly what they both knew he would do. Backing himself back towards his chair quietly, Tai Zheng sat back down, not looking up at the other two people at his table. He could feel the rage building up in his chest as he attempted to keep himself from running after Alek and snapping his foot. Now, Tai wasn’t normally a violent person, however, there were some people he just didn’t like to see get hurt. Pulling his glasses back onto his face, Tai stared down at his food for a moment listening to the commotion behind him fade away. For a moment he sat there quietly, glaring down at his food, just thinking. Thinking about what he could have done to Alek, what he wanted to do to him. Ugh, stupid violent thoughts.
Pushing away from the table, he sent Ari and Pat an apologetic look “I’m gonna go get some air, I’ll see you two at the meeting” He sent the two of them a wink before turning on his heels and heading out of the kitchen, with no where specifically to go. The meeting was going to be starting soon; he probably should cool off before sitting in a small room with a bunch of people. Heading back to his room for a moment, Tai Zheng began to mumble to himself as he rummaged through one of his drawers, looking for something, anything. And then, that goofy smile of his flew onto his face as he grabbed the thing he had been looking for, his m&m’s. Not just any M&M’s, peanut M&M’s. His favourite. He was pretty sure he had acquired these ones from being bribed at one point but hey, who was keeping track. Shoving the sweets into his yellow jacket pocket, Tai hurried out of the room to meet back up with Sooh where she quickly laid the law down once more. However, even though she was scorning them, tai couldn’t help but worry about Chang. He would have to ask her about him when he got a free moment. With some time to spare before the meeting Tai wondered around before finding himself in front of meeting room 3 at 1:30.
Shoving his hands into his pockets, Tai pushed the door open with his shoulder, blue eyes scanning the room quickly only to be set on edge at the sight of Alek already sitting in the room, perched beside Tau. He sent Alek a cold look before he found the woman he was looking for. With his sights now set on Sooh Tai half ran across the room, snatching the roll call clipboard from his hands, as he simply assumed it would be his duty to keep track of everyone. I mean, wasn’t that how it worked anyway? Glancing over the familiar and unfamiliar names on the board, Tai looked back up at Sooh, a concerned look on his face. “Chang is okay, right? I mean, not fatal injuries, no failing organs and all the ugly stuff, ya?” He couldn’t help but be worried about his father figure, I mean, for reasons of his own he had issues with his real father and Chang, well, he was always there when his real father wasn’t. Then there was Sooh, an adopted mother figure while he was away from his own. It was perfection, it made this place feel like home. So, his worrying had logic behind it, or at least, for Tai Zheng it did.
Tai scanned the room once more for any sign of Chang, he was sure the man was okay but he was just concerned. Giving Sooh a sketchy look he leaned in and lowered his voice. “You wanna tell me the plan, woman I know you’re plannin’ somethin’ in that clever head of yours” Anddddd this is when the crazy Tai came out. He was wondering when his annoying side would make another appearance. “Or, y’know tell me later, it’s cool. We’ll figure a plan out later, yo!” He gave Sooh a reassuring pat on the shoulder before spinning away from the boss lady, and into an empty seat. Of course he was joking and being dramatic, but he was sure Sooh knew that. Right? Pulling the pen off the clipboard he held it in his mouth as he placed it back on his lap, pulling his M&M’s out of his pocket. He was still upset so, it was time for the chocolate peanuts! Opening the bag up, Tai Zheng took the pen out of his mouth and began to pop the sweet delicious chocolates into his mouth, going over the list of new patients and workers at the same time.
Time to start another boring chapter to this shitty day.
