Welcome to Gaia! ::

San sighed and nodded, following behind everyone else with Faye. Inuyasha was in the lead, walking with his arms crossed. The monk trailed not far behind him, trying to tune into what Shippou was rambling about, but not really paying any attention. Then the two girls were a bit farther behind, walking quietly.

"Hey. Are you really okay?" San asked Faye, looking at her quickly before watching the ground again.
There was a silence in the group for a while, with the exception of the two girls talking behind them.

Faye continued to stare at the ground as she walked, "Yeah... I'm fine." I shouldn't be complaining... San can't see anyone while we're here, either. Or talk to them, for that matter. "Don't worry about it."

They continued to walk when they heard cries from a village up ahead. Miroku glanced at Inuyasha, and they both knew they needed to check it out. The monk turned to Shippou, also facing San and Faye, "Inuyasha and I are going to go on ahead to check on the villagers and see what is wrong. They may be in trouble." Shippou was broken out of his thought process. "Shippou, if anything happens while we in the village, I'll be counting on you. Come and get us right away, okay?"
"Whaaat? Huh?!" Shippou responded, shaking slightly before nodding resolutely. "Yeah! I got it!" he said, trying his best not to be scared. San looked over to Faye and back to the monk, wondering what was going on and what was going to happen. She wasn't sure if she could defend herself if something happened...

Inuyasha started to run up ahead, not even waiting for the monk. "Come out, you stupid demon!" he yelled, running past all of the terrified villagers and ignoring their accusations of him being a demon, as well. He unsheathed his Tetsusaiga and let it transform, running towards the center of the village.
As the monk left, hurrying to the village, the three stood there, not exactly knowing what to do. "Maybe we should head towards the village as well?" Faye questioned, looking at San, then at Shippou. "I mean... What use is there in just standing here? I don't think they'll come back for us any time soon..."

Meanwhile, the monk had finally got to the village, but when he had, he found Inuyasha in front of a large estate, a few guards trying to keep him out. The monk put his hand on the hanyou's shoulder, "I apologize for my companion. He has quite a temper. Could I ask what is going on here? We heard cries from the villagers when we were on a way to pass through here."

The guards looked at the hanyou, still wary of him, and uncertain of whether they should speak. Miroku smiled, "Trust me, he's harmless." Still unsure, they were about to tell him to leave when a young, attractive woman dressed in a beautiful kimono approached them.

"Excuse them, dear monk." Miroku turned and was stunned by her beauty. Her hair was black and extended a few inches past her waist, and she wore it tied loosely in the middle. With an elegance, she approached the monk and hanyou. "They do not know a skilled monk when they see one."

"Lady Akira!" The guards exclaimed, "There is no need for you to have to come out--"

"Why, but there is. It is, after all, my father's estate that has been possessed." Akira turned to the monk, "Please, dear monk, would you exercise the demon that has possessed my father's estate?"
San shrugged and continued walking, going past all the villagers with Shippou and Faye. They reached the boys after a few moments, just in time to see the monk talking to the princess. "Oh, a demon. So the monk goes to rescue them, and falls in love with a beautiful princess." San commented to Faye, rolling her eyes and sighing before stopping a few yards away.

Inuyasha's ears twitched as he heard the girls come up. "C'mon. The demon's in there. Stop your flirting, monk, and let's get down to business!" he said loudly, shoving Tetsusaiga into the ground in irritation.
Glancing back and forth between the monk and the princess, Faye became confused. How is he getting away with that? She turned to San and whispered, "Hey, didn't Sango usually come in at this point and hit him or something?"

"Please, come inside." The princess gestured toward the front gates of her father's estate, and the guards opened the doors.

As the group entered, Miroku looked around cautiously and Inuyasha held a grip on his Tetsusaiga, both sensing a strong demonic aura from within the castle. Shippou sat on San's shoulder, hiding whenever he hear a noise.

The princess led them through the castle and to the third floor. Walking through a corridor, Faye followed close behind Inuyasha and Miroku, with San and Shippou beside her. When the princess stopped at a particular room, she began to tell the monk about a strange night when her father saw a demon. Faye had not been paying attention when walking, though, so she ended up running into Inuyasha's back.
San turned to the side and laughed quietly at Faye, trying not to laugh too loud. It felt a little creepy in here as she walked with the others. Shippou felt a little strange on her shoulder, and she was vaguely reminded of a parrot on a pirate's shoulder. These were the sort of intelligent thoughts going through her head as she walked.

Shippou shivered, looking around. "You guys, it feels really bad in here..." he whispered while the princess talked, trembling and closing his eyes. He pulled at San's hair, which earned him a frown, but he managed to keep his eyes closed.
Faye jumped back, startled, and then cast San a slight glare, embarrassed by her own clumsiness.

"Hmm.. I see." The monk responded at the end of the princess's most tragic story about the demon inhabiting her father's study, draining the life out of anyone who stayed inside the room for an extended amount of time.

"Please, Lord Monk, can you exercise the demon?" The princess Akira inquired, with tears in her eyes. The monk took her hands in his, and promised her that he would exercise the demon right away, once he and his companions had had a good night's rest and a [decent] meal.

The princess leaned toward him, her hands still held in his, "Thank you, dear monk! I will have a couple rooms for you and your companions immediately." With this, she led them out of the castle and toward an extension of her father's estate.

Once the group arrived a separate building from the castle, the princess bid them goodnight, and they were led to two separate rooms. A young woman led Faye and San to a room on the other side of the building from where Inuyasha, Miroku, and Shippou were staying.

"Hey, San..." Faye began, looking about the room warily, "Why is it that we're in this room all alone? I don't like it.."

Meanwhile, as Faye and San sit alone in a small room, the others are in a more large room, and were served an extravagant meal immediately.
San shrugged, laying down on the floor. "I don't think it matters. Probably just like some sort of sexual segregation. We are in the feudal era of Japan; I wouldn't be surprised if they're a more male-based society back here. As long as we have a room, I guess it's okay, although that stupid monk... ew. I don't even want to think about what he's thinking about." she said, rolling her eyes. "In the meantime, I don't see why we don't sit here and figure out what we should do to get back to our own time without distractions."

Inuyasha frowned, looking over at the monk. "Oi, we came here to exorcise a demon, not fool around! We still need to get moving!" he said, eying his plate of food suspiciously as he set down Tetsusaiga next to him. He glared at the monk and at Shippou, waiting for a response.
"True.." Faye agreed hesitantly, "But remember before, they would all stay in a room together, wouldn't they? In the manga and anime, I mean.." She trailed off for a moment, then looked at San, "How are we supposed to figure out how to get to our own time?"

The monk began to eat his delicious meal, "Don't worry about it, Inuyasha. Just enjoy the meal and rest." He ignored Inuyasha's scoff, and continued eating. Shippou stared at his food, and then tried it. Finding it quite tasteful, he began to eat it more quickly, fearing that the hanyou might realize the good taste of the food and snatch his away from him.
"Uh... well.. maybe.. being back here in time and living it is different than reading it. Maybe she didn't care about segregation?" she wondered out loud, putting a hand over her eyes. "Uh.. hm. Well obviously, the Bone Eater's Well is out of the question. Hmm.. I'm not sure yet." she sighed in frustration, trying to think harder. "I don't know. Do you have any ideas?"

Inuyasha rolled his eyes at the other man's comment and began eating, then quickly finished with the meal and eyed Shippou's portion before laying down backwards. He closed his eyes. "That was good, I guess. But now, can we go finish killing the demon? I think it's time that we start to fight!" He said eagerly, clutching Tetsusaiga.
"Hmm..." Faye began to think, tilting her head to the side as she thought. "I don't think..." Her thought was interrupted by a small knock at the door. She glanced at San, then to the door.

"Excuse me, may I open the door?" A young woman asked through the doorway. San and Faye looked at one another, and then Faye gave her consent. The same woman who had lead them to their room entered, observing the two girls.

The woman looked at San, "Lady Akira wishes to speak with you." The two girls glanced at one another. "If you would please come with me."

San reluctantly rose from where she was sitting. "Thank you," the woman bowed, and stepped to the side, allowing San to exit the room first.

Sitting in silence and just watching for a moment, Faye stood up quickly. "Wait a minute! Why does she need to speak wi--" The woman turned and approached Faye, getting very close to her. Startled by this, she was unable to speak, and the woman placed her fingertips lightly on Faye's forehead. "What are you..." Faye began, but slowly began to lose focus, and then lost consciousness.

Hearing something fall, San turned to see what had happened, only to have someone from behind her cover her mouth and suffocate her until she fainted. The woman lead the figure who held San captive away.

Meanwhile, Miroku finished his meal and Shippou slowed down, relieved that Inuyasha was uninterested in stealing any food from him.

"Now, Inuyasha," the monk began, "Why not let those who do not have the endurance that you have rest for a while?" Shippou nodded in agreement with this as he finished his meal.
Inuyasha glared. "What?! Rest? We haven't DONE anything today except walk! What's there to rest for!?" he yelled, standing up and glaring down at the monk. "Why are you taking advantage of these people!? Let's get this done, finish up, and get out! Did you forget that we have a mission?" he grit his teeth, growling at him.

Shippou scampered to a corner, hiding from Inuyasha's wrath. "Waah, you're so scary today... I think we should get rest, I agree with him!" he said, getting a glare from Inuyasha. He immediately shut up.

What..the..? San thought, rubbing her head and trying to blink away the fuzziness. "What's going on? Where am I?" she mumbled. The lady.. someone came to get me. What a lame kidnapping. And I bet no one's noticed yet... this is retarded. And I blame Faye for it. I wonder where she is..
"Lady Akira," the woman bowed, and stepped to the side of the doorway [of the room that San was taken to], "I have brought the girl as you requested."

Stepping into the lord's study, the demonic aura increased greatly. The princess approached San, who had been placed sitting up-right against a wall. "You regained consciousness sooner than I expected. I am impressed." She gave a slight smile, "But having such will-power alone is not enough. No mortal can escape from this study once they have entered it. Your life will be completely drained by tomorrow's sundown."

Meanwhile, back where the others were, Faye apparently did not have this amazing "will-power", and was still unconscious on the floor in their room. Perhaps if she had been given a decent meal she would have awakened by now...

"Now, now, Inuyasha." Miroku placed a hand on the hanyou's shoulder, "Calm down. Although you may see today as merely walking, please be considerate of San and Faye. They must be exhausted from all that has happened to them." He used this to try to persuade Inuyasha to allow them to rest this one night in a decent place.
San regarded the princess, sighing and leaning back against the wall. "Uh. Hm." Not really knowing how to react to this, she shrugged and sat, looking away. "You smell funny, I guess." she mumbled quietly, keeping her eyes averted. "And why is this called a study? You aren't a scholar, I bet.."

Inuyasha glared, picking up Tetsusaiga. "Fine. Let's go see them, then. We'll ask them, and they can decide. I'm sure they have more common sense than a stupid monk and a lazy kitsune!" he grumbled, going over to the door and exiting the room.
