Welcome to Gaia! ::

Faye stared in shock. "What..?" She stood up, "But we need to get back! We need to go to--" She froze in mid-sentence, and then realized something. Kame-kun... I can't see Kame-kun while I'm here... It's already hard enough... Barely talking to him...

Shippou looked at Faye, concerned. "What's wrong, Faye..?" He asked, tugging on her pant leg. She didn't look at him, but instead just continued to study the ground, as it began to blur (in her vision). What if we...

As Kaede was about to speak, and San turned to look at her, Faye ran out of the hut. Miroku watched after her, quite startled, and then Shippou and Miroku looked at San. I wonder what is wrong.. The monk thought.

"Is your friend okay?" Kaede asked San, a bit concerned.
San sighed. "I don't know what's wrong, but we really do need to get back. We have people there, and other things to do, like finishing up our education. We can't just abandon that, so we'll need to find the way back as quickly as possible, if that's alright." she said, glancing around before sighing again.

"Yes, I suppose that would be for the best, considering what happened before..." Kaede said, and Inuyasha gave her a sharp glance before leaving the hut as well to go find Faye. Kaede sighed and looked away, knowing that she shouldn't have brought it up.

Shippou's gaze bounced back and forth between everyone speaking, trying to keep up.
Running through the forest, her hand over her mouth to muffle her sobs, Faye entered into the clearing where the well was. She stopped for a moment and stared at it. "Why..." she paused, "Why can't I go back..! Why is it that she could go back, but we can't?!" Faye burst out, yelling at the Bone Eater's Well.

Slowly, she walked over to it and sat down beside it, and rested her arms on the edge. She looked down into the well, and then her vision began to blur, and she sat and cried by the well (as if crying would somehow return her and San to their own time).

Miroku sighed, tired of all the tension. He turned and looked at San, "I know you need to find your way back, but staying here won't help. I know Inuyasha comes off as arrogant," and before he continued, Shippou chimed in, "he's actually a real softy!" Miroku looked at him, a bit amused, and continued.

"I think traveling with us would be for the best. We have a better chance of finding a way for you and Faye to return to your own time than if the two of you stay here in Kaede-sama's village."

"He is right." Kaede responded, "You would best go with them. Perhaps you could be of some assistance in their journey to find Naraku, as well."

The kitsune jumped up at this, getting on Miroku's shoulder. "Yeah! Come with us, San! I'm sure you could help out a lot, too." He exclaimed, full of excitement and energy.
Inuyasha stood in a tree, watching her cry. I already knew that she was crying.. so why did I come? Damnit, I hate crying women... he thought, torn between going to see her and try to "comfort" her, or just letting her alone. Usually, he'd let someone like that alone, but he felt sort of bad for her; he knew how Kagome had liked her time so much, and this couldn't be any different. He jumped down and landed next to her softly, his back to her. "Hey, uh." he said, pausing and frowning, trying to gather his thoughts. "You know, there isn't any reason to cry. So what if you can't get back to your own time? This time is just fine; I don't see anything wrong with it! Besides, it smells and looks funny over there." he said, looking at her from over his shoulder.

San blinked, staring at all of them. "Uh. Um. I... don't know. Logically, I agree. Not so much intuitively..." she muttered, taking a deep breath. "I think I really need to talk with Faye about it, but I don't like to sit around and mope about not being able to go back. If we look for something, it atleast feels a little bit more productive than waiting for it to come to us." She paused, then blinked. "Although, like I said. I need to talk to her first."
Faye kept her head down for a while, and sniffled, since she had cried so much. "It's not just my time..." She said, speaking while keeping her head down on the edge of the well. So many mixed feelings about multiple things, although one thing was prominent in her thoughts.

"Mm, yes, we should wait until she returns, and then ask your friend if she would like to travel with Inuyasha, Miroku, and Shippou." The old miko responded, agreeing with San's statement.

"Where is Inuyasha anyway?" Shippou inquired, looking about the room. No one said anything, since at least Kaede and Miroku knew where he had gone.

"Say, San, do you have those really sweet things that come on sticks where you're from? They're hard and you suck on them, and they're really tasty!" The kitsune asked, looking at San with bright, hopeful eyes. Kagome would always bring treats back for me! Maybe if we find a way for her and Faye to go back, she can bring treats back!
Inuyasha frowned at her, slightly angry now. "Well, yeah, of course. But you have to get used to it. So what if it isn't? Find a way to get back instead of crying over it! Keh, tears won't get you anywhere. Getting up and looking around will. I'm going back now, but I think you should head back to the village before something out here eats you up and people only find your bones weeks later." He said, scoffing slightly before turning back around and crossing his arms.

"Uh... yes. Those are lollipops.." San mumbled, looking away slightly and sighing. "Uh, yeah, we have them in our time. Why? Do you like them?"
Also slightly angry now, Faye looked up at him and yelled [at his back], "Yeah, well, what am I supposed to do!? He barely talks to me anyway, because he's so absorbed in his work, and now I can't even see the idiot!" Her outburst shocked her once she was finished, and then looked down, ashamed that she yelled out something so personal. "I'm going." She got up, staring at the ground, and went in the opposite direction.

"Yeah!" Shippou exclaimed, really excited now. "I love them! Kagome used to bring some back every time she returned from her time." The kitsune grinned happily. After his comment, the atmosphere grew more solemn, and then he realized what he had said.
Inuyasha growled deeply now, glaring at her. "HEY! That was no reason to yell! I was just trying to get you to feel better, but you know what?!" He yelled at her, grabbing her by the waist and swinging her over his shoulder. "You're coming back, whether you like it or not! I'm not going to take responsibility if you die!" He walked towards the village now, feeling slightly triumphant. Hah! I'll get her to see that she's wrong. She can go back to her own time, just like Kagome did!

San blinked, watching Shippou intently. "What? Kagome? Kagome is here?" she asked, then covered her mouth. "I mean. Kagome. Who's that?" Crap! I'm going to give it away..!
Not caring anymore about wiping away her tears, Faye struggled in his hold. "Put me down! I don't want to be carried!" She hit his back repeatedly in an attempt to be set down. What's he thinking!? What am I, some kind of trophy to prove he... And then a thought entered Faye's head. "You didn't win!" She blurted out.

"Ah, uh..." Shippou looked down guiltily, feeling bad for mentioning it.

Miroku watched San, How did she know... About Kagome-sama...? When the monk was about to inquire about it, Kaede began to speak.

"Kagome is a young girl who also traveled from another time and into this era. She used the well to travel between times, and would travel with Inuyasha to help collect the shards of the Shikon no Tama." And so Kaede explained the minimum that San would need to know to understand.

"And that's another reason why we're after Naraku!" Shippou said, with an unusual seriousness to his tone. "He kidnapped Kagome, and we need to rescue her!"
Inuyasha shrugged. "Win? What? What would I win by taking you? Nothing! Just the fact that you won't die, and I don't have to think about it later!" He told her, walking faster and then beginning to run. "I don't need you dying, and you seem like the sort of person who'd just fall right into 'victim' of a demon attack. So, you're going with us, and your stupid friend, too."

San looked at the monk and realized that he had heard and blushed. She gave him a hard look, trying to tell him to shut up and not say anything. She then turned to Kaede and Shippou, and nodded slightly. "I see... I'm sorry for that. It seems... difficult."
"What?! I'm not a 'victim' person! I can fight, you know!" Faye continued to argue as they reached the village. The villagers gave them strange looks, seeing as the hanyou was carrying her over his shoulder.

The kitsune looked at San and said reassuringly, "It's okay! We'll rescue her, for sure! And you can help us!" He was excited to have more people join their group, since he had been rather lonely with just Inuyasha and Miroku. No one was there to entertain him much before.

Miroku watched San, and realized that he had heard correctly by the look she gave him. What does she know about Kagome-sama..? Is this girl from the same place that Kagome-sama is from ?
"Yeah, you seem like it, but whatever." he said, running back into the village and going inside Kaede's hut. He then set her down on her feet, standing in front of the tatami mat and smirking slightly before looking up at everyone else. "Are we ready to go, or what?!"

San shrugged and looked at Faye. "Hey, you okay?"
Miroku couldn't help but be amused when he saw Inuyasha enter with Faye over his shoulder. It reminded him a little bit of Kagome, but not quite. The hanyou had been more careful with Kagome.

No one was responding to Inuyasha's question, as they all were a bit preoccupied by Faye's aura of humiliation and anger.

Faye lifted her head and looked at San, "Yeah. I'm fine." She said, shortly and with tension in her voice, and then shot a glare at the stupid, smirking hanyou. I hate you so much right now. STUPID.
Inuyasha only leaned against the door frame, his eyes closed and his mouth twisted into somewhat of a smirk.

San blinked, looking back from him to Faye. "Uh, right... well... what do... you think about going with them? I think it'd be better than just sitting around.. besides, if we go looking for something, we're bound to find it sooner than if we just sit here waiting, I think." She looked at Faye, trying to see what she would say.

Shippou jumped up and onto Faye's head, looking down at her from it. "Yeah! It seems like a good idea, right? Can you? Pleaseeee!?"
Looking down, still annoyed at what had happened, she sighed and agreed to travel with the group. "Yeah..." She looked at San, "You're right. We should go."

"Yaay!" Shippou rejoiced and jumped down. Miroku smiled, happy to have some more company. He glanced at San, still curious as to how she knew Kagome, and hoped to get the opportunity to ask her sometime in the near future, since they would be traveling together from now on.

Everyone got their things together, and said goodbye to Kaede.

Meanwhile, Koga was already on his journey to find Naraku, with Ginta and Hakaku lagging behind him. "Stupid mutt. I'll rescue Kagome, and protect her better than that idiot hanyou ever could!" After this last statement, he increased his speed, increasing the distance between him and his wolf friends.

"Kogaa~" Ginta called after him. "Slow down!"
