Welcome to Gaia! ::

For a moment, Faye was frozen in shock. Kaede... Why does that sound... Faye came to a realization in the middle of her thought. But... no... it couldn't be... She looked at the kitsune, who stared at her questioningly. Could it..?

"Kaede's village...?" She softly questioned allowed to herself. Suddenly she realized that the kitsune was still holding out his hand. Faye shook his hand, and as she looked at him, she asked under her breath, "Shippou...?"

After shaking his hand, she spoke up so the kitsune could hear her. "You met someone like me once..?" Maybe San? I hope San is nearby...

MEANWHILE.

Just as San turned to continue on her merry little way of being stubborn, a dark figure jumped down from the trees with great velocity, landing behind her. It's eyes were bright red, and the figure was at least three feet taller than she was. Its claws were three to five inches long, and it was about to slash at her and kill her. San turned to face the demon, and stared at it.

Suddenly the demon vanished before her, right before it killed her. The monk stood in front of her, sutras in his hands. He had exterminated the demon and saved her. "It's dangerous here." He said, concerned. "Come on, let's go to the village."
Shippou nodded. "Yeah, it's just a little while away. It isn't that far, really; you were in it earlier, when I saw you and you ran off. Why did you run off? No one's scary there, and there weren't any demons." he said, walking back towards the village and looking back, hoping for her to follow. "Come on; it's late, and we should go back to bed! Although, Inuyasha will probably wanna meet you, it's okay.. he's probably still up anyway. I'm really surprised he hasn't come out to get me!"

San was surprised, her eyes wide. But after the demon was gone, she frowned at him. "Uh. Hm. Well, you didn't have to do that, but thanks. Now I know there are weird things here, which could very possibly be of my imagination, like you, so I know I am insane. Great. I'm leaving." she muttered, continuing to walk away. Weird. Demons, sutras, some guy... what next?
"What?" Faye blurted out loud after hearing the name "Inuyasha". No way... it can't be..! She was in utter shock that she was now in such a strange place and situation.

"Um... You know what? I think I'll just go this way, actually..." Faye pointed back in the direction in which she had been running earlier. "It was nice meeting you, Shippou." She turned to go back, with the intention of looking for her roommate, San. I have to find San... Does she know where we are...?

The monk approached San, taking hold of her wrist. "Please, trust me." He said, in earnest. "You can stay at Kaede-sama's hut. If it makes you feel better, I won't sleep there. I promise." He looked into her eyes with a strong, yet soft gaze, full of genuine concern.
"What?! But, you're just a human, and there are a lot of demons around... I'm sure they're somewhere, even though we can't see them just yet!" he said loudly, crouching and hugging himself tightly as he shivered before standing up again. "I can go with you! I can protect you, you know." he said to her bravely, trying to hide the shaking. The mere thought of being confronted by a huge, hungry demon was enough to make him want to cry. "Or we can go back to the village, where it's safe. But I'm a full-blooded demon, so I can protect you!"

Inuyasha growled, scratching his head. He was still in the hut, but now very irritated. "That damned monk and the little kid ran off... and they still haven't come back. If they've gotten eaten up by a demon, I swear..." he grumbled to himself, picking up Tetsuiga and shoving the tatami mat aside. He walked out of the village, sniffing around and trying to pick up their scent. "A girl..? Shippou followed a human girl? Weird..." he followed that scent, getting closer to the river.

San glared at him, jerking at her wrist and looking away. "I don't care where you sleep, really. I need to get back. So really, if you'd excuse me. This is extremely awkward."
Faye notices the kitsune's trembling, "It's okay, really. I know how to fight." She gave a reassuring smile to Shippou. "Don't worry about me, 'kay?" She got up from kneeling down. "Well, I'm going to get going. You should get back to sleep." Faye waved goodbye to him and turned to walking in the other direction.

Watching her, the monk was still hesitant on whether he should let her go or now. "Why do you want to wander about the forest at night?" He questioned, asking with a curiosity. "I mean... Is there another reason why you won't come to the village?" He stepped back, allowing her some space, and to not appear any more aggressive than he already did. The monk looked at her wrist apologetically. "I'm sorry... about grabbing you like that..."
Shippou looked at her with a confused expression. Did this girl not understand how dangerous demons are?! "You know what a demon is, right? Like long claws, scary eyes, huge fangs, evil minds..? Right?!" he said, wringing his hands. "Like, I'm not a big scary demon yet, but I'll grow up one day, but I won't be bad. I'll help people! There aren't many demons like me, though! You can take my word for it!"

Inuyasha glared, his ears twitching slightly as he walked towards the river. He soon saw Shippou and a girl, and listened to what the kitsune was saying. He growled in irritation before jumping down from the top of the hill and sliding down, landing next to Shippou. "Not many scary demons, eh? Not many are puny like you, either, but they're just as easy to beat." He regarded Faye with a wary eye, watching her every move. "Who's this? You look weird. Shippou, why did you follow this... girl out here? You know we gotta keep going tomorrow, right, and we aren't just "vacationing" here. We have some real work to do!"

San looked away, shrugging. "No reason, I guess. I don't think that there's any reason, considering I should wake up any moment from this weird dream. Fine, you know what? I'll go with you; I'll just disappear from here, right? Soon enough, should be.." she said, trying to convince herself and wondering what really had happened. She was skyping with her parents... but Faye had been in the room, too. So what if this same thing happened to Faye? That was impossible.. I've just fallen asleep. she thought angrily before casting a glance at the guy. "Who are you, anyway?"
Watching the two interact, and seeing Inuyasha eye her, Faye decided to speak up. "I was just telling him to go back... " Her eyes had moved to looking down, and then she looked up at Inuyasha. "... and you're rude." Faye paused for a moment, knowing that probably wasn't the wisest thing to say. Oh well... Not like I'll see him again, anyway. She looked back toward where she had originally been going. Is San out there...? What if she's not even here, but in some other crazy place?

"Well, I'm going to get going." Faye said stubbornly, and then looked at Shippou. Feeling rather guilty all of the sudden, she apologized, "I'm sorry for bothering you." She looked down and to the side, as if observing the dirt beneath her feet, "I didn't mean to..." After a pause, she said goodbye and turned around and began walking away.

Looking at her curiously, quite confused at what she was saying about waking up, he answered her question. "Ah, I apologize, I should have introduced myself. My name is Miroku, and I'm a monk..." He paused for a moment, then looked at her, "Why do you think this is a dream?"
Shippou frowned, then started to pout as he jumped up onto Inuyasha's shoulder. "Hey, stop her, won't you? She's out here alone, and like... well, what if she gets eaten!?" he asked. "Let's take her back to the village, okay?"

Inuyasha glared at him, brushing him off his shoulder and watching the kitsune land on the ground. "What? Why should we? She obviously wants to go. It's not like she's a pet or anything." he said loudly, hoping that she would hear. He was a bit annoyed at being called rude (even though he well knew that he was), so he felt like insulting her.

Shippou gave the older half-demon a pouty look, trying to convince him otherwise. He racked his brain for something before coming up with the response, "She has the same type of clothes that Kagome had! So, what if she knows her? Why don't we find out? Come on..." he mumbled. "Kagome was able to help a lot, so I'm sure maybe she can, too, if they're from the same... place, and all."

The half-demon stiffened, looking down at the kitsune with a death-glare, before turning and walking up to Faye and grabbing her wrist. "Hey, you're not going alone. The stupid fox is right; you're going to get eaten. You can't even defend yourself properly.." he looked her over and then scoffed, turning away and dragging her along. "We're going back to Kaede's village, got it? And you're coming too, whether you like it or not. Atleast for the night. The old woman will know what to do with you later in the morning."

San stopped in her tracks, completely baffled. "You're... uh, ugh. What? Wait, you're a m-monk... and your name is... oh.. crap.." she muttered, stepping back. "Now I really, really can't go with you. No need to apologize, just personal reasons." she said, looking down at his hand and noticing the beads before mentally slapping herself. Idiot. Sutras. Demons. What the hell? That's so impossible. "This is a dream because you can't exist, and I can't be here! And I really, really need to find someone if she's even here.."
"What!? No!" Faye tried pulling away from the half-demon's grip, "I don't want to go with you! Just leave me alone!" I don't want to be here... This is all too weird! She struggled to get away, and then stopped, "Ah... ah... " Faye tried to hold in her sneeze, but couldn't, and ended up sneezing on the half-demon. Her gaze immediately turned to the observation of the ground again, as she criticized herself for her stupidity. This is just awful...

"Wait!" He took her wrist, then immediately let go. "Wait." The monk said, in a calmer, more sincere and concerned voice. "What do you mean I can't exist?" He paused for a moment, "Well, never mind that. You said you are looking for someone? Perhaps that person is in the village also." He said this with both genuine and with the intention of just getting her to go to the village. "At least go for tonight. I'm sure Kaede-sama could help you figure things out tomorrow morning."
Inuyasha glared at her for a moment before ignoring it and continuing to walk. "Bless you~!" Shippou called up from below, walking beside the girl. "Hey, hey, so your name is Faye, right? Hey, Inuyasha. You didn't even introduce yourself. She's Faye! Faye, this is Inuyasha. He's really grumpy and mean all the time, but our friend used to say that he's really a big softie on the inside! Can you believe that?!"

Inuyasha growled angrily, twisting around and punching the kitsune on his head. "Shut up, Shippou." he muttered, glaring up at her and then dragging her along again. "Ignore him; he's stupid, and young. He'll talk nonstop if you let him. Just stay at the village tonight, and you can figure out everything tomorrow morning, got it? No arguments."

San bit her lip, watching the ground. Damn. This is weird. This is really, really weird.. she thought, trying to stay calm. "I don't think she's in the village. Especially if I ended up here.." She scratched her head before sighing. "I don't know."
Their friend used to call him...? The only person I can think of, if this is what I think it is, would be Kagome... But why used to...? Faye looks at Inuyasha with a mixture of curiosity and concern. Did something happen...?

Breaking out of her thoughts, she down looked at kitsune and asked with concern, "Are you all right, Shippou?"

Miroku sighed, She's rather stubborn, just like... His expression suddenly grew dark, as he remembered what had happened. After a moment he broke from those thoughts and gave a slight smile. "Why don't we go to the village together? It's rather late, and you must be tired." The monk paused, looking at her, "You never know. She may be there. And if not, then you can at least get some rest and decide what you will do tomorrow."
Shippou whined up at Inuyasha, glaring at him. "Mean! You're such a jerk, Inuyasha! See?! He's a really big jerk!" he said accusingly to Faye, holding his head.

"Oh, shut up, you stupid fox. Let's just go back and get some rest, got it? I'm still sticking with our plan, and if that idiot monk isn't back yet, well.. we'll just leave without him, and he can catch up later. So you better not be tired when we're getting ready to leave, otherwise I'm leaving you here so I can find Naraku on my own."

Shippou pouted up at him now, grumbling. "Fine, fine. I can get up! Only if you aren't so mean. And can Faye come with us too? She said she was gonna look for someone. So maybe we'll run into this 'someone' on our way to find our 'someone'?" Inuyasha scoffed again, ignoring the kid's antics.

San winced at his expression and felt a bit of guilt. "Uh, yeah.. I guess so. That's fine..."
Faye continued to stare at the ground in thought. So they're still searching for Naraku... But who is it that they're looking for?

As she was thinking, a cool breeze swept by, blowing her hair slightly. She shivered, since the cool breeze actually felt much colder than that due to her being soaking wet still. Just think about being warm, and you'll be warm... Faye thought to herself. After a few moments of concentrating on this, she thought she felt warmer.

Relieved at her finally agreeing to go back to the village with him, he smiled and gestured to his right, "All right. The village is that way. Shall we get going?"
Inuyasha looked at her and saw that she was cold. Frustrated, he took off the haori and draped it over her shoulders before continuing to drag her. "We're almost there. Just stop your shivering. It isn't that cold, and it wouldn't be so much so if you weren't all.. wet. What'd you do, decide to jump into the river?"

"She didn't jump into it, stupid. No one's stupid enough to do that. She fell, cause I was chasing her!" he grinned, looking up at Inuyasha. "I scared her. Because I'm a demon." He said this with a bit of pride, then looked at her and smiling a bit. "But I really didn't mean to. I'm not going to hurt you, and neither is Inuyasha. He's saved a bunch of people before!"

Inuyasha just growled and rolled his eyes, finally pushing her into their hut. "This is where we're staying. There's a mat. You can sleep there." He said before poking the fire a bit and then settling back into the corner, holding Tetsuiga and closing his eyes. Shippou bounced back to where he was, sitting up and watching Faye. "You can sleep here, if you want."

San nodded, withdrawn. "Yeah, I guess so." I.. am in a forest. A forest, in Feudal Era Japan. With a monk. That same monk from that stupid manga. So that means everyone else is real, unless it's just him. Which is really, really weird. Which means... She walked, following him, her eyes trained on the ground.
Faye looked at the haori draped around her shoulders, and noticed that she had already wrapped it around her. Before going over to Inuyasha, she looked at the kitsune and smiled, "Okay, thanks, Shippou."

Taking off the haori, she walked over to Inuyasha and held it out to him to return it. "Thank you, but I'm okay now." She smiled, handing it back to him and walking over to where she had been before, and sat by the fire to warm herself, and in hopes that it would help her get at least somewhat dry.

Miroku glanced toward San as they approached the village. He watched her for a moment as she studied the ground, and then he realized something. "What is your name?"
