Small pants were heard as green hair blew in the wind, muscles in pain from running, as the small petite figure jumped over a fence, why was this person running you ask, well she is chasing after a culprit. "GAH" Quin shouted as she fell on her face. "Sherly, After him" Quin shouted to the Umbreon that was next to her. He nodded his head as he began to gracefully chase after a man in a trench coat, little did the man know that Baker was hiding behind the corner while Quin got up off the ground and began to run after the man once again. "Baker use sucker punch" Quin shouted to the Banette whom was hiding around the corner with his arms crossed, he let out a sigh before turning and jumping so that he could use sucker punch on the man, Baker chuckled slightly as he stood on the unconscious man while Sherly sighed as he heard Quins heavy breaths before she stopped right beside the two pokemon. "Good work you guys" Quin said smirking as she pet both her pokemon on the head, before the police Chief came up to her "Quin, good work, you deserve this medal" The chief of the police station said handing Quin a medal, "Aw you shouldn't have sir" Quin said scratching her back as some of the towns people came up to her "Oh my goodness, Quin you are like awesome" Someone said as a bunch of other people agreed with them. "Aw please your making me blush....But no seriously continue with the praise" Quin said smirking.

Two pokemon looked down at a green haired woman who was mumbling things in her sleep, like every morning, the black pokemon sighed as he sat on the ground while the young woman chuckled in her sleeping state, a red and white pokemon on the other hand looked over at the black one and nodded it's head, it the pulled on the blankets tightly wrapped around the female, and with one swift tug she was pulled off her mattress an onto the cool hard floor of her room. "I'm up" The female said sleepily as she saw the two pokemon Sherly and Lock staring down at her she then sighed slightly staring up and them as Lock walked out of her room and into the kitchen. Quin sighed as Sherly pulled out her usual clothes for her and placed them in a pile before her before walking out of her room and into the dinning room for breakfast, which Quin still had to make as she hear Baker grumble, most likely because he wanted his breakfast now. Quin sighed as she then put on her goggles on her head before walking out into the dinning room of her small old style home and sliding the rice paper door that separated the Kitchen and the Dinning room from each other. Quin sighed as she put five bowels of seamed rice on the table with a small sigh, as she looked at the seamed pieces of carrot that she made to accompany her meal. "Dang....I need a raise" Quin said as she sighed looking down at the ground with a sad look in her eyes before taking her chopsticks and eating her food with a small sigh.
Baker finished his meal in no time along with Sherly and Lock who were now sitting and the door grabbing Quin's boots and dragging them to the edge of the entry way. Street on the other hand was looking at Quin's unfinished meal, she left half the rice and only touched one piece of carrot. Quin sighed as she returned Street to her pokeball before the lecture could begin and also place Baker and Lock into their pokeballs leaving Sherly with Quin, "Ready for work" Quin asked as the Umbreon nodded his head while Quin finished lacing up her boots she then grinned at her pokemon before standing up and opening her front door. Quin smiled as she locked her door and walked out of her house cheerily as she walked down the street with her pokemon right beside her. She began whistling a happy tune as she walked down the street. That is until she looked at her watch "Crap" Quin said as Sherly looked at her as they both began to run, if she didn't hurry up she would be late.

Quin took one giant step inside the police station before raising her hands in the air "Safe" Quin shouted happily as she smirked while Sherly stared at her for a few moments before walking over to his usual napping spot, right beside Quin's desk. Quin smiled deviously as she stared at the small toy gun on her desk and the mini catapult made from a spoon some pencils and some rubber bands. Quin though quickly became bored as she saw no sign of her boss or coworkers she then sighed tapping a pencil on her desk with a bored expression on the you woman's face, the Umbreon next to her gave her a questioning look as he then sighed before going back to his nap.

Quin frowned before she snapped her fingers and quickly wrote a note Causing Sherly to sigh, her now knew that he would be getting no nap time. Quin smirked at her note, it said Quin was here on it and she then quickly taped it to her boss's door before giggling slightly and putting Sherly in his pokeball so he could nap. Quin then smirked venturing outside of the Police station to go find someone to bother. "I wonder who shall I bother today" Quin smirked evilly as she thought about whom to bother. ☆═━┈┈━═☆The room stood still like a picture frame hanging from a wall undeserving of its grace. In the frame where two small figures surrounded by shelves and books hovering over a body impatiently waiting for something to stir, and as if to answer their prayers, the picture frame came to life. The body let out a groan of disapproval as the man woke up. Randy slowly opened his eyes reveling foggy blue spheres that stood out on his pale face. “Gah, where am I?” Sitting up, Randy’s black hair fell against his face slightly covering up the now alert eyes. Looking to his right he saw a familiar face that brought reassurance that he was in no immediate danger. “Rally…” the man said through a smile on his face. The little white pokemon looked up through his green hair at the man and smiled back. Looking down all of Randy’s fear came flooding back over him. His buttoned up white shirt was covered in a red substance making it match his red tie he had on. “Is that… BLOOD?!?” The boy screamed through complete shock. Frantically Randy looked around and as he did bits and pieces of his memory started to come back, and as if he were reading a novel and finally got to the end everything became clear.

                                                ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

☆═━┈┈━═☆Randy had just arrived in Ouran City a few hours ago. From the dock, he had met a ton of people, asking everyone he met for directions to get to the town library but carelessly forgetting through his adrenaline rush to receive their name or give them his in return. He was sure everyone would know who he was though; it was a small town and by now word should have traveled that after his grandfather’s death, a young grandson of his should be coming to take care of his place. As Randy traveled the road’s, handing out close to a dozen apologies from bumping into people, he finally found himself in the town square. His crystal blue eyes gazed upon one of the tallest buildings in the town and with it a smile formed on his face and a new ray of hope shown in his path. “The library…” Randy muttered to himself as he made his way across the square to it. “Home.” He said in an even lower voice as he stroked the door knob slightly hesitant to open it. This was the boy’s new home and this was also the boy’s new job. This would be the first time Randy lived on his own before, the first time he owned his own business before… the first time he’s done just about anything by himself.

                                                ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

☆═━┈┈━═☆Without a second thought, Randy busted the doors open screaming “I’m home!” and Rally accompanied him, mustering out a pathetic attempt at the same words Randy said. Randy could only imagine what the town’s people outside thought as they watched him bust open a door screaming. It was really early in the morning and the sun was still rising, thus most people would still be in bed sleeping let alone outside screaming. Great first impression, Randy thought to himself smugly. Completely forgetting to shut the door Randy made his way to the receptionist desk. He had a bag slung over his shoulder from something he had brought back from the mainland… in fact it was the only thing he had, all of his other belongings would be arriving later tomorrow aboard a different ship than the one he took to get here. Pulling out the contents of the bag Randy set one glass on the desk and popped open a bottle of red wine. Filling the glass half way, he resealed the bottle and sat it down beside the glass of wine. Looking up he mustered the words “Happy new year’s Grandpa… drink up” holding back tears that wanted desperately to escape from his sapphire eyes.

                                                ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

☆═━┈┈━═☆Turning around Randy took in his new home and work space for the first time. He gasped once completely taken aback. The place looked so much bigger from the inside than it did from the outside, it would take him forever to learn all the rooms here let alone read all the books. He looked down at Rally who he knew was in heaven by the obvious shimmer in his red eyes. “Shall we explore a little?” Randy asked his companion. Before randy could take his first step a great blow to his chess caused him to stumble back into the receptionist desk. Wine spilled everywhere accompanied by the books on the desk, each one taking a blow at Randy’s head. “Ow, what the hell?” Randy said in a very serious sharp tone, Randy was about to kick some a**… or at least… he thought he was. Looking up Randy saw the huge form of a giant black eggplant. Slowly a crease formed along the center of the eggplant and in one split second it busted open with a hideous noise revealing sharp fangs. As eggplant saliva dripped down on his face Randy passed out.

                                                ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

☆═━┈┈━═☆Turning to his left he saw a yellow pokemon about the same size as his ralts, with black hair and a giant eggplant thing sticking out of his head. “You.” Randy said sourly with a grim expression on his face. The mawile smiled at him innocently before attempting to retreat. “Oh no you don’t. Rally GET HIM!” and with that, the boy and his pokemon took off through the library causing all sorts of noise and ruckess, through their pathetic attempts to catch the little pokemon, that could easily be heard outside through the library's open doors.

A happy tune was heard as the young detective who never wore the uniform given to her smiled as she gracefully walked down the street like she owned the sucker. "Hmm, the silence is pretty dull, I got it" Quin said snapping her fingers as she pulled out Baker's pokeball, she could always take to Baker about his habit of talking to the ghost pokemon in the graveyard. "So~ Baker, got a new girlfriends yet" Quin said smiling suspiciously while baker gave her a dead panned look while he sighed and ignored his trainer while crossing his arms "Aw come on buddy, is she cute, I bet she is" Quin said nudging her pokemon a little before putting her hands behind her head as she had a smug look on her face while Baker slowly nodded his head and Quins smirk turned onto a full evil grin "I knew it, my deduction skills never lie you know Baker" Quin said smiling as she returned to walking.

"So~ Baker" Quin said again as the Banette face palmed and then groaned, "Have you asked her out on any dates yet" Quin asked, after all she should know how he is doing at courting this young female pokemon. The Banette sighed as he looked down at the ground this caused Quin to frown. "Eh don't worry, I'm sure you'll know just how to capture her young maiden heart" Quin said with a smile as she then sighed "I wish some kind gentleman would come and sweep me off my feet" Quin said being dramatic as she put one hand to her head and sighed sadly, "sadly the one has not come around for me, yet" Quin said sighing. "You know what Baker we can go research how to properly court a lady at the Library...........oh wait the old man who ran it is gone" Quin said sighing sadly as she then heard some loud noises coming from the Library, this cause Quin to frown as she saw the open door, were the local hooligans trying to destroy the place again, although they never got in before Quin gasped as she returned Baker to his pokeball and brought out Lock, they would not get away with trashing that place.

"We Have trouble Lock local trouble makers are trying to mess up the Library again"
Quin said as Lock nodded his head, everyone in town knew how much Quin love books, although she like mystery novels more she still had an appreciation for them, and everyone knew how she would go to the Library to read when she was younger, and on her off breaks that she would take. They also knew that she was pretty good freinds with the old man who ran the place, and was very sad when he passed away that she failed to hear how one on his relatives would take over for him.

                                            "Stop police"
Quin said as she stood in the door way with a serious look on her face until she saw a young man and his Ralts running around, although he had a red substance on his shirt. "Hey you, what are you doing here" Quin asked as she walked towards the young man, trying to look tough, but at her height, not likely. Lock looked around as he crossed his arms while Quin put her hands on her hips and stared at the young man's face, "Well I have never seen your face around here" Quin said frowning as she looked at the male and sighed he seemed like he wasn't going to do anything bad, judging from the fact that none of the books were harmed. "Okay mister you have some explaining to do" Quin said frowning as she looked over at him with a frown and crossed her arms, "Nobody is able to go into this building unless the are a relative of the.....deceased" Quin said sadly and Street released herself from her pokeball and frown as she looked around, something felt off. Quin sighed as she the sighed adjusting the goggles on her head before looking at him " I need to know your name and where you are from" Quin said as Street looked around seeing the two pokemon still running and sighed as she floated over to the two of them with a frown on her face as she began to lecture the two pokemon about how they can hurt themselves from running around the Library, this caused Quin to dead pan.

Quin then blinked a few times as she recognized the Mawile that had been running around "Simo?" Quin said staring at the pokemon as she walked over to it smiling "I can't believe your still here, I thought you might have left after the old man died" Quin said smiling at the pokemon and then sighed, "I guess your pretty lonely now huh" Quin said sighing as she looked at the Mawile and then back the the Young man, whom she remembered she forgot to ask why part of his shirt is red. "Ah you" Quin said dusting herself off "Why was your pokemon chasing Simo, and why do you have blood on your shirt, are you a serial killer, should I take you under arrest before you can take any other innocent lives" Quin said the last part jokingly as she crossed her arms as Lock pulled on her pant leg and shook his head. "Hmm it's not blood is it" Quin said leaning closer to the mans shirt, "Your right its smells like wine......are you trying to get drunk in here!" Quin said accusingly as she had a shocked look on her face. Blah blah blah blah Blah blah blah blah

☆═━┈┈━═☆In the midst of chasing down the pokemon Randy heard a phrase that was all too familiar to him. At the sound of police Randy instinctively called out for Rally to teleport them away, unfortunately for him though Rally was too tied up in his owner’s previous command of hunting down the mawile to hear him. Sighing, Randy felt his heart sink as he braced himself for a long lecture and possible punishment. As prepared as Randy thought he was though, he ever would have seen this coming.

                                                ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

☆═━┈┈━═☆As Randy averted his attention from the mawile to the person that the voice belonged to, his jaw dropped open if ever so slightly. In front of him stood a petite little girl with green hair in goggles. Is this a joke? Randy thought to himself. Randy clearly towered over her in height but the little girl still fearlessly barked command after question after command at him. Joke or not the little girl took what she was doing very seriously so Randy figured she was for real. In the middle of her talking a pokemon forced its way out of the girls pokeball. Randy watched as the pokemon looked around in disapproval before heading over to Rally and the mawile and mimicked its owner. Randy grimaced at the sight of the mawile’s smug look on its face. He was getting in trouble and it was all that pokemon’s fault.

                                                ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

☆═━┈┈━═☆The girl seemed to notice the mawile too, as her expression completely changed as she peered over in their direction. The name Simo slipped from her mouth as she made her way over to the mawile. Simo? Randy thought as he processed the name and followed up behind the girl who was now conversing with the little demon pokemon. Randy listened in for a second, discovering that Simo was a friend of his grandfather’s, but in the middle of processing everything he was hearing the girl turned her attention back on him. She began to immediately bark questions at him again, this time with more force. Straitening up, Randy instantly proceeded to answer all her questions, being well to accustomed to this type of interrogation. “My name is Randy Mullpampo Boulevard. Grandson of the previous owner!” Randy said instinctively letting his middle name slip out. Before the boy had time to worry over his mistake though the questions just came flying and he soon realized that he had dug himself in a serious hole which he had no clue how to get out of, explaining the underage possession of alcohol.

                                                ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

☆═━┈┈━═☆“ I…” Randy started but then stopped. He had brought the wine from home because it was his grandfather’s favorite and he wanted to give it to him on New Year ’s Day, in the spiritual sense at least. It seemed like a nice thing to do at the time but, Randy had no clue how to put it into words though. “Um…” Randy said preparing to come up with a lie, he hated lying but in a situation like this he felt like he had no choice. Before he could spit one out though the mawile, Simo, bounded into the air. Landing on Randy’s head, Simo snickered before taking off out the door. Oh he’s asking for it, Randy thought to himself. “Rally!” Randy shouted as he took off after him completely forgetting about the girl and the problem at hand.

Quin blinked a few times at the male before she chuckled a little at his middle name "Mullpampo" Quin thought and chuckled a little more as she tried to hold in her laughter. Quin then coughed as she looked at the young male, "Ah I see, you say your the grandson of the old man whom owned this place" Quin said frowning as she remembered a conversation she had when she was younger with the old man who owned the library, she did remember he mentioned two grandsons in one of their conversations, mainly it was when she was older and had just been dumped by a guy, but we shall not get into details about this now. Quin had a small frown on her face as she tried to look intimidating, but that was more of her co-worker's thing then her's.

"Well" Quin said as the guy began to try and say something as she stared intently at him, until Simo jumped on his head causing him to chase after the pokemon, this cause Quin to frown at the male as she pulled out her other two pokeballs the aura of 'I'm going to murder you' came from Quin as she glared at the open door before sighing, "That kid is so getting a ticket" Quin said as she released Baker and Sherly from their pokeballs, "Okay you guys, young black haired male with a ralts chasing after Simo, capture all three but don't hurt them" Quin said as her pokemon nodded their heads and ran out door while Quin quickly followed them "Everybody out of the way Police pursuit going on" Quin shouted as people moved out of her way and sighed, this was a daily thing, only most of the time this involved her chasing Meowths and Glameows so she could return them to their owners. Sherly was up front catching up with the black haired male the Umbreon sighed before passing the young male, while Baker on the other hand who grew up living off these streets quickly cut off Simo, he then smirked as he stood in front of all three of them only to be passed causing Quin to groan as Baker smirk, "Baker enough fooling around, if you help I'll buy you and that nice girl pokemon some grade a quality pokemon food for you to share over a candle lit dinner if you want" Quin said as Baker nodded his head and smirked.

Sherly finally caught up with the Mawile and quickly cut off the pokemon, and growled as he stared at all three of the pokemon, they were all male. "Good job Sherly" Quin said smiling as Lock went to block any escape routes while Baker blocked off the Alley way. "Okay seriously you jerk" Quin said crossing her arms and frowning "I am a pretty reasonable person compared to my coworkers but honestly running from police officers, seriously dude, are you asking to pay huge fines" Quin said as she sighed " Unless your running away because you are eighteen years old and afraid to be find with hold alcohol, then I may understand the running away part but honestly that was the smartest move you could make" Quin said sighing as she stare at the male, "Street use Telekinesis if they try to run again" Quin said sighing as she face palmed and then walked up to Randy "Honestly Randy you caused me trouble, and I only met you a few minutes ago" Quin said sighing as Street looked at her.

"Hey what's with that look Street" Quin said as Street crossed her arms, "What I am not a trouble maker.........much" Quin said sighing as she then looked over at Randy "Well I guess sense your new around here, I'll let you off the hook this time....if you let me go to the Library when I feel like it" Quin said smirking. "Oh by the way you seem like and excellent trainer, is shown quite well by the way you can handle Simo" Quin said sarcastically as Street flicked the back of her head "Oi, what did I do" Quin said sighing as she remembered that she forgot to introduce herself. "Oh by the way the Name is Quin, Detective Quin Satire Smith" Quin said smirking as she remembered Randy's middle name "So your parent's gave you the middle name Mullpampo, interesting, I think I may have to call you Pampo from now on" Quin said smirking as Baker chuckled slightly. Randy’s heart was pumping from the heated chase; Quinn and her gang, chasing Randy and Rally, chasing Simo. Sadly, Randy was only aware of the last half of that before it was too late. In the blink of an eye the image Randy saw before him changed from Simo founding off happily with a smug look on his face to Simo wide eyed completely blocked off by an Umbreon and all other escape routes blocked off by various other pokemon. At the sound of a familiar voice, Randy’s heart started pumping even faster. He had been so consumed by catching Simo that he forgot all about all about the cop girl. Randy’s brother being a cop himself, he could only imagine the look on his brothers face when he tells him he got caught by a female cop half his size TWICE, pure enthusiasm. He’s gonna laugh his a** off Randy thought.

                                                ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

Randy turned around to face the little cop girl, who was currently at the moment sighing. Randy attempted to put the most sincere look on his face, preparing for a full blown apology, but the girl spoke first. By the end of her lecture Randy was able to conclude a few solid facts; her name was Quinn Satire Smith, she was a detective in this town, she clearly loved sarcasm, and she most definitely… without a doubt knew his middle name. Randy frowned at the sound or “Pampo” but before he could object he remembered something else the girl had said. “Wait… eighteen?” Randy questioned. “I’m nineteen, what are you talking about?” The drinking age here was nineteen? I mean I guess it would make sense for this island to have a different set of laws then where I came from. Randy face was towards the sky as he processed all this.

                                                ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

Averting his attention back to Quinn he agreed to let her come to the library anytime she wanted. There was no way Randy could be stuck in that Ginormous place without anybody to keep him company besides Rally, once Rally gets to reading he’s not quite… “there” anymore so it’d basically be like being by yourself. He turned his attention on Simo, who was currently by Quinn’s side with his smug look back on his face. Recalling what Quinn said about him being Randy’s, Randy kneeled down before speaking to it. “So you were my old man’s huh? I guess that does kind of make you mine?” From the moment I said “Old-man” the pokemon’s expression changed completely and for the first time Randy saw how sad and alone he was. Randy had no choice to but to take him in or else the guilt would kill him, so he motioned for Rally to come closer before introducing them both. “My name is Randy and this is my best friend Rally, we look forward to taking care of you.” At the sound of that Rally about spazzed out, making awkward sounds of joy, this would be the first time Rally’s had another pokemon friend... So Randy was quite surprised by the way he was acting.

                                                ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

He turned his attention back to Quinn. He was completely embarrassed about the whole situation. First he caused her all this trouble, “Do you… know where I can get a pokeball at?” and now he was asking for her help. Randy could feel his face getting hot from how awkward this whole encounter was. Randy absolutely hated odd encounters like this. He got up looking at Rally, “on second thought, do you know where I could get two pokeballs?” At the sound of that Rally looked at Randy with complete fear in his eyes. “Pay back for not bailing me out with teleport TWICE now,” Randy whispered back at Rally with pure revenge seeping out his mouth and a smile plastered on his face. I'll have to find a change of clothes too, Randy thought to himself frowning at his wine covered shirt.

Strong sun light burst through an open window and right on a young man’s head making him moan in protest to the light, and shuffles around his bed pulling the covers over his head. Over at one end of the floor a large black canine like Pokémon walked over and bit down on the covers and pulled it off of him, causing him to grab the blanket and pull it back over him. The Black Pokémon not giving up, barked loudly at the boy, he moaned some more and grabbed his pillow and threw it at her. Causing her to jump back surprised a bit, but making her gives up on waking him up. She looked around and found the pillow, grabbing the pillow with her mouth she jumped onto the bed and began to bang her up and down with the pillow beating him with it. The pillow beating caused his to raise his hands up in defense and he began to laugh and grabbed his second pillow and began to hit her with it. A few minutes of that made him fully awake and soon the two stopped. He pets the large dog like Pokémon on the head, which she responded with a lick to the face and bounded off the bed and out in the hallway.

Mario took a few minutes to get his average clothing on and clipped on the badge onto his sweater. Normally towns do have a strict dress code, but this town doesn’t have one, so a cop really just needs his badge to be in his uniform. Although he does have a full uniform in his closet at his office at the police station, but he doesn’t normally wear it due to it being so stuffy and restricting to move around in. He doesn’t wear it, only to formal meetings, but other than that he wears his normal clothing and wears the badge on top of it. He washed up and walked out of the room and walked into the large room that was the living room. In it was his guardian a tall Gallade that eyed him from across the room. Mario greeted him and walked right past him to see him nod a greeting back and followed him into the kitchen. In the kitchen already was his Mightyena and a very fast bee like Pokémon zipping everywhere impatiently waiting for his food.
When Mario entered the kitchen they both perked up and both waited by their bowls for their breakfast. And for the Ninjask that was hard to do as he was still flying pretty fast trying to contain itself over its bowl. Laughing a bit he grabbed two boxes that had gourmet food that her orders that are supposed to be the best tasting and best for health for his Pokémon. Pouring a good amount for the two he watched as they both dug into it and devoured all of the food in mere seconds. He poured the food into a separate bowl and offered it to the Gallade, who took it and began to eat it one at a time, showing it was a calmer Pokémon then the other two. He grabbed an apple and banana and began to eat those as he walked to the rest of the house waking the rest of the family. Scy the Scyther was already up and walking the second story reaching out the window’s to cut down berries and then slide them down her scythe and into her open mouth. She was once a traveling Pokémon and since she joined the family she never really got that she doesn’t have to forage for food anymore, but it seems like she will never really get it out of her system. Mario called out to her and she looked over to him and greeted him with a cry and went back to eating her fruit.

Charizard however was still asleep in front of the large fire place snoring away the day like he always does. Mario walked up to him and nudged him to wake up, but he ignored him and kept on sleeping, but Mario would not give up and grabbed a little water gun and squirted him on the head and that got up quickly as he terrified of water and quickly got up and looked at his trainer. Glaring at him as if he was going to roast him at the spot, stopped when Mario offered him a bowl of food, as if forgetting the water gun he began to devour the food like the other two just did. Smiling at the Charizard he left him there and began to look for his last Pokémon, looking for him he was about to give up when the Pokémon appeared in front of his face, screaming at the same time. It didn’t bother Mario as this one always did this to him every day and frankly he got use to it. Mario greeted the Ghost Pokémon as if he just found him where he always was. The Ghastly seemed down as it failed yet again to scare its trainer. Feeling down it only perked up when it saw its food and began to devour it with renewed energy.

After Mario had made sure that all the Pokémon had eaten he sat down on a chair and began to eat his own fruit and relax a bit. A few minutes passed when he checked his clock and realized he had to go. He quickly called all the Pokémon and told them they needed to go; he called them all but his Mightyena Pooch to their balls and clipped them to his belt before running out the front door. He waved the wild Pokémon that acted like guardians to the place, as he did they greet him back and he ran out the front gate. As he did his partner ran next to him easily keeping up with him. The two kept on running until they came onto a bit of a scene. It seems the offices own green detective is again chasing a random guy down the street. Feeling that this was going to cause trouble again, he ran down towards the two and got up to them yelling. “Entity city police!” When he got their Pooch began to growl, either at the guy or at Quin as she never really liked the peppy girl that much. The scene already was attracting attention for a crowd and he quickly dismissed them with a flash of his badge. “Ok Quin mind telling me what happened this time?” In the past whenever she got into trouble he had to be the one who filled out the paper work for her. He could consider her a friend, but often she just caused him a headache, as she is a good detective, but bad at keeping collateral damage to a minimal.

Quin blinked a few times "Well don't you seem to know the laws well around here" Quin said sarcastically as Sherly sighed, "You should really brush up on the laws around here Randy, after all laws are always different where ever you go" Quin said smirking as she then looked over at the black haired guy "Ha I may be smaller than you but I am older than you....even if it's by a year" Quin mumbled the last part to herself as she smirked "Well Randy-kins" Quin said coming up with the new nickname on the spot "you should be glad that you were caught by little old me here, after all my co workers would probably give you a ticket, or take you to the station for running from an officer" Quin said with a matter of fact tone as she raised one finger in the air.

Quin smirked as Randy agree to let her come to the library when ever she wanted, "Great choice Pampo" Quin said smirking as Simo came over beside her, "And you little trouble maker, stop causing people so much trouble, geez your getting to be as bad as Baker I swear" Quin said as Baker frowned at her before sighing and dead panning at his trainer. Quin blinked a few times at Randy, "Well technically by law all of the old man's belongs go to family members, and sense Simo came with the business, I guess he's yours" Quin said smirking, Quin smiled sadly at the scene before her, "Aw dang it Quinny, now is not the time to get all sentimental on yourself" Quin thought with small tears in the sides of her eyes, "Okay girl calm yourself, you are Quin, a detective, no one can break you so you cry, so suck it up princess" Quin thought wiping her almost tears from her eyes and slapping her face lightly, "This is not time to get sentimental" Quin said sighing as she looked over at Randy with a serious look on her face. "Okay Pampo, you have got to promise me that you take good care of Simo, and the old man's library, mainly because the Library is important to me, got it" Quin said as she poked Randy on the forehead.

Quin smirked as Randy mentioned the words pokeball, "Well my little Pampo, you can get pokeballs at two locations, although both are located at the Cheri mines, you can get them from the Blacksmiths, although they tend to be more expensive they are very good quality of work, or from the General store" Quin said in her matter of fact tone once again, "I can take you to the mining district if you want after all it would be rude of me not to help a new comer" Quin said winking as she smirked at Randy. "Although you might want to change you clothes first" Quin said smirking as she stared at Randy.

Quin froze and raised her hands as she heard a voice that she knew all too well, "Oh s**t....its the cop" Quin thought as she looked over slowly at Mario before laughing nervously "Ahahaha, Mario, well if it isn't nice to see you" Quin said nervously as she looked at her co-worker, "Have I told you how good that badge makes you look, because you look fabulous in that badge" Quin said trying to get off the topic of what she did now, "Hmm what little old me, well I did nothing officer Mario" Quin said trying to play the cute card so she could avoid her co-worker being angry at her, "I was just trying to help someone whose new to town catch their Mawile, that's all, not like I was skipping work to go be lazy or anything" Quin said blinking cutely at the male as Sherly growled walked up so he could stand beside Quin, he didn't like males getting too close to his trainer, not to mention Pooch was ticking him off by growling at her. "You know I was just about to go to the black smiths to help Randy-kins over here get some pokeballs to keep his pokemon under control, he'll be taking over the Library for the old man now" Quin said smiling happily "Isn't that great, now I can skip work to read, I mean to valuable research" Quin said smiling as Baker and Lock came over to Quin and the rest of them. "A speaking of pokeballs, Street, Lock and Baker, return" Quin said as Lock and Street went back into their pokeballs but Baker Dodged and frowned at the dark pokemon growling at his trainer. "Hey Baker, what's the matter" Quin asked tilting her head slightly before sighing "Geez, you two stop being so darn protective" Quin said sighing as her two pokemon continued to glare Pooch.

☆═━┈┈━═☆Randy stood there absorbing everything that Quinn was telling him, frowning here and there at the occasional nicknames she kept giving him. She seemed quite well informed about everything in Ouran City, so Randy figured that she must have lived here for a while if not all of her life. Randy promised to take care of Simo, even if he didn’t want to Rally had already grown attached to his new “friend” so it would have been difficult not to. As randy continued to listen to the girl, he watched as the two pokemon greeted one another in their poke’ ritual way. Simo was actually kind of adorable when he wasn’t jumping on people with his… “second” mouth open, Randy noted to himself.

                                                ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

☆═━┈┈━═☆Randy looked up concerned, as Quinn suddenly went from Talkative to dead silent as if she had seen a ghost. Before Randy could ask what was wrong though, the girl suddenly started talking again, this time with a new tone in her voice. The words weren’t directed to him though. Following Quinn’s eye’s he noted that a new character had been written into this plot that was currently unfolding. He was a young man around the same age as Quinn and himself, with brown hair slightly longer than Randy’s that matched his brown attire. Randy watched for a bit as Quinn spoke to the man, learning his name was Mario. He let Quinn introduce Randy to him as she explained everything that was going on. Randy tried to control himself but having little self-control he couldn’t any longer.

                                                ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

☆═━┈┈━═☆Once Quinn reached the end of her sentence, Randy cut in completely dominating the conversation. “As she said, the names Randy Boulevard.” Randy stated to the man in a cocky tone this time remembering to leave his middle name out. You see, as a child Randy was constantly competing with his brother… at first for laughs and kicks, but as the years progressed it soon became way too serious. Every competition or tournament the two boys found out about they would enter together, with complete determination to take the other down and win the prize. This bad habit soon escalated to Randy acting like that towards all his male friends and before he knew it, sometimes when he got around another male his cocky and competitive side would uncontrollably come out. His brother being the same way, ranked up quick in his line of duty… sadly for Randy though, all it ever did was get him into trouble.

                                                ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

☆═━┈┈━═☆“Nice pokemon you got there,” Randy said eyeing Mario’s canine companion that was beside him. “Of course it’s nothing compared to my Mawile here,” Randy gloated as if he and Simo and been together for years now. “Care to try your luck, your pokemon against mine,” Randy challenged with a complete smug look on his face. Simo looked at the fierce looking pokemon that had currently been growling at Quinn’s pokemon, and then took a few steps back with concern sparkling in the poor guys’ eyes. “Heh, you’re right Simo, not even a challenge.” Randy rambled on, not giving the male a chance to speak. “you got lucky this time,” Randy said making complete eye contact with him. “We were busy at the moment getting pokeballs anyways. Of course, you’re free to join us.” Randy said, giving Mario permission to come along with them as if he had asked. On that note he turned his attention back on Quinn. “Nice friend you got here. Are you ready to go now?” Randy questioned.

                                                ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

☆═━┈┈━═☆Before she could answer Randy remembered his shirt. “Ahh, on second thought… I really need to change.” He pointed out, as all of the cockiness left his voice. Randy was back to his normal self again. “I’ll catch up with you later?” Randy was about to ask the girl to exchange numbers with him, before he realized that his cell… along with his laptop and all of his other belongings, where on a ship arriving later tomorrow. Leaving it up to fate, Randy called for Simo and Rally to follow and left the two people he had just met there, hoping that his grandpa or father had left behind some change of clothes in the library... his library.

Mario looked to the pair and sighed as he didn’t really want to know what was going on, feeling like if he did it would only give him a headache. First Quin tries to avoid his question by telling him for some reason what the guy was going to do and what he was going to take over the library. And before he could even question this as the guy now complimented his Pokémon, then quickly boasted about his, then challenged him to a battle. And again before he could answer that one he quickly changed his mind and claimed that he wasn’t even a challenge, and then inviting him to join them on their shopping trip. He was starting to get a headache with this who cannot keep his mind on one thing at a time. Mario was about to yell at the guy to slow down and talk normally to him, the guy claimed that he needs a change a change of clothes. After he made his escape he told Quin that they need to catch up later. With that the guy was gone; the guy was gone with a question of sanity in the air, the guy’s sanity or Mario’s own. Looking to Quin he sighed and said in a low tone to her. “The people you meet.” Mario sat down on a bench as he watched as Pooch and Baker were growling at each other, or well he thought the ghost Pokémon was growling, it was hard to tell with it.

Pooch was still growling, not as much to Quin much anymore now she was directing most of it to the ghost Pokémon in front of her. In their own dialect that only Pokémon could speak he yelled at him. “Back off ghost! You will not harm Mario! And if you try I will tear that zipper off your face!” She yelled at him some more, some of it insults and some more warnings. Mario stared at her some more as she continued to growl and bark. He didn’t know if she was speaking to the Pokémon or simply barking at the pair. Mario looked to Quin and asked in a bit of annoyed voice. “Hey Quin what were you saying? Were you shirking work again? You know the chief hates it when you leave work to read your books.” The chief was the person in charge of the police department on the island, but more importantly their boss. Mario covered for Quin allot of times, but at time the chief found about her book reading, and often he had to share the blame of it. Mario knew Quin was quite good at her job, but often he got in trouble whenever she did.

All the noise that was going on caused one of his other Pokémon to stir, out of the poke ball came out Gas, the female ghastly. She floated to where Pooch was and asked her what was going on. She explained that the Banette was threatening their trainer. She didn’t seem as aggravated as Pooch was at the situation. She floated a little closer to Baker and spoke in a calm tired voice. “Mind telling me what really happened from your side of the story? And why it was so important that it had to wake me up?” Gas was mainly asleep during the day was way more active at night as she was free to have fun scaring the Pokémon and people of the island without getting in trouble for it. Mainly people attributed the scares to sleepiness and never see it coming as she always comes out at unexpected times in the more unexpected places. Pooch didn’t seem to excited when Gas was asking for his side of the story as she felt like she wasn’t trusting her own word in the matter, but she wasn’t the only one, as most of the other Pokémon often accused her of being too overprotective of their trainer that she will often cause trouble because of it. She didn’t believe she was too protective, she felt that she was just the right amount of it. Besides none of them have been with Mario to know that he needs protecting, he was a good human who does good things, but often bad things do happen to him, and she wanted to always be there when those bad things appear, just like the Ghost named Baker ahead of them, was doing what she was saying to the others.

Mario was a bit surprised that his Ghastly came out as she did, normally his Pokémon do stay in their balls, but at times whenever something loud was happening they came out as the curious Pokémon they are. He wasn’t even surprised that she was taking the situation calmly as she was compared to how Pooch and the Banette were acting at the moment. Mario felt like if either he or Quin didn’t interfere soon they may be in the middle of a Pokémon battle royal. “Hey Quin perhaps we should call them all back now right?” He couldn’t really tell if things were going to go either way, he just hoped Quin the detective could.

Quin blinked a few times as she stared at the black haired male, was he challenging Mario, she frowned, what the heck had gotten into Randy "Uh, Randy" Quin said but it seems like the female had been ignored by her new pal. Quin sighed as she prayed to god that he was not digging herself into Mario's bad books, Quin was just glad that her and Mario were freinds, she would be afraid to face the boss if she skipped out on work again god the thought of it just scared the poor green haired girl, after all Mario always covered for her when ever she left to go read her books at the Library. "Okay see you soon, and don't go causing trouble" Quin said smiling as she waved her arm in the air with a smirk on her face as she then placed her hands on her hips while Baker and Sherly both stared down Pooch. Quin blinked a few times as she sat down on the bench next to Mario, "Huh what do you mean the people I meet, are you saying I have horrible choices in people" Quin said frowning as she crossed her arms "I take offense to that" Quin said sighing as she looked away frown her brown haired friend.
Baker smirked as he crossed his arms, "Who are you calling Zipper face Poochie, the name is Baker and I'll let you try and take me down, not like you'll succeed Ugly" Baker said too Pooch, although to a normal human it would just sound like he is saying his name over and over again sense they could not understand what they say. "Baker chill, she's just trying to get to you" Sherly said coolly before snorting at the female and glaring. Quin blinked a few times as she stared at Mario "What I can't believe you would say that, you know I was just on patrol, I mean why would I go read books, it's not like they are way more fun then work or anything" Quin said sarcastically as she rolled her eyes and smirked at the taller male "The Chief doesn't hate when I read, he just has a......extreme dislike of me going to the library for ........valuable research" Quin said grinning as she stared at Mario "I think your just saying these things because I haven't thought of a cute nickname for you like I have for Randy-kins, or maybe I should just call him Pampo more often" Quin said smirking as she stared at the brown haired man, "Admit it your jealous that you have no cute nickname from me" Quin said smirk as she then patted Mario on the back.

Baker smirked as he looked at the female ghost pokemon with a sly grin on his face as Sherly sighed he knew what was going to come from Baker's mouth. "Of course I will sweetheart, you see your freind Poochie-kins over there was growling up a storm at our lovely trainer Quin and you know I don't like it when doggie's show their fangs to my trainer cupcake" Baker said grinning as Sherly sighed "Baker remember you have a girlfriend now, you know one you go to the graveyard to see all the time" Sherly said smirking as Baker frowned "Shut up trainer's boy, I bet you were only growling because their trainer's a little too close to ours for your liking" Baker said smirking as Sherly's eyes narrowed as he stared at the smirking zipper. Sure Sherly was a little over protective when it came to men coming onto his trainer, but seriously, he can't trust them with her when she deserves only the best for her, plus he doesn't like to see her crying, it makes him feel bad.

Quin blinked a few times as she stared at the scene before her and Mario, "Hmm it seems like it might be for the best if we call them back" Quin said as she looked at Mario and smiled, "Oi, Sherly, Baker, Come here" Quin said as Sherly nodded while Baker soon followed as they walked back to their trainer, "Now this time buddy return to your ball" Quin said putting Baker back into his ball before sighing as she looked over at Mario, "There problem solved, it was probably a dominance, or perhaps because you pokemon was growling at me sort of thing" Quin said as she pet Sherly on the head as he glared at Mario, he never did like the Brown haired guy.

☆═━┈┈━═☆Randy had been running for a bit now when he paused to check his new surroundings. “I’ve never seen that house before…” The boy pointed out slightly puzzled. Rally tugged on Randy’s black jeans, giving him a worried looked. “Now hold on Rally, I know where we are.” We took a right… and then a left, and then I think a right? Randy was now in serious thinking, both hands in his pocket while he looked up at the clear blue sky. A few winguls flew by as the seconds past. The young man rocked back on his heels before pulling his hands out of his pockets and snapping his fingers. “I got it!” he declared, and at that Rally’s eyes lit up. “We're near the ocean” Randy announced, as he stared at his two pokemon with a dead serious look on his face. A second went by before Simo jumped in the air and smacked Randy on his forehead saying something in his pokemon language. “I guess you have a point Simo, being on an island and all we are always by the ocean.” The pokemon looked down, with the look of complete dissatisfaction for their owner in their eyes. “We’re not lost!” Randy said stubbornly refusing to admit the truth of their situation.

☆═━┈┈━═☆The three of them walked around for about another 5 minutes before Randy suddenly stopped. Simo gave Rally a questioning look, but Rally didn’t say a word as he put on a smug little grin. “Okay fine Rally, you win this time… we’re lost” the boy muttered. Rally took a few steps toward Randy and tilted his head, as if he didn’t hear him. “Dammit Rally, I SAID WE’RE LOST” the boy said slightly aggravated. This happened all the time back on the mainland, Randy had a bad habit of spacing out when he went somewhere and completely got lost multiple times. They had a little score going on of the number of times Randy actually made it somewhere between the number of times Rally had to bail him out, and sadly Rally was winning by a lot. Rally took Simo’s and Randy’s hand and concentrated for a split second. Randy blinked, and when he opened his eyes again the scenery around him had completely changed.

☆═━┈┈━═☆There were books everywhere and a broken glass near the receptionist desk. “Woah… we really did a number on this place." They all looked at the library which was still a mess from their encounter with Simo. Randy sighed, knowing he’d have to clean this up later. For now though, the boy shuffled back to the double doors, which were still wide open, and shut them. The only light in the library now, was that which came from a series of mosaic windows. The room was lit up in a series of different colors and hues that made the four story building seem even bigger than what it was. Of course from the bottom floor though, you could only see up to the third story. The ceiling where a giant chandelier hung was actually the floor to the fourth floor where Randy would be living. Randy looked at all of the stairs he had to climb and sighed before looking at Rally. “Hey, best friend of mine.” He said with a smug little look on his face, trying to butter up to his pokemon. “You think you could tele me one more time?” he questioned pointing at the ceiling. Rally gave him a look filled with disbelief. “Right… can only teleport to places you’ve been before, sorry I forgot.” Randy looked at all the stairs he had to climb one more time, knowing he’d hate it, before he went off with the top floor as his destination.

☆═━┈┈━═☆When he reached the top floor, Randy pulled the key his parents had gave him when he said he was taking over the library from his pocket. He ran his hands over the bronze, admiring the fine details on the key, for a moment before he stuck it in the key hole turning it slowly. He paused for a moment before opening the door to brace himself. Rally and Simo who were currently downstairs cleaning up where now by his side. “Tsk, you can port yourself up here but not me… I see how it is. I guess form the bottom floor you can kind of get a glimpse of where I am, and I did ask for a port inside the fourth floor not by the door leading to it but still!” As the boy rambled on, the pokemon’s impatience kicked in and Rally opened the door with his psychic abilities. “R-rally wait, I havn’t prepared myself mentally for all the possibilities of what could be behind it!” but Rally didn’t listen. Simo was the first to go inside, Before the door was even half way open the little black and yellow pokemon busted through and bounded in happily. Oh yea, I guess Simo has been here before, He thought to himself.

☆═━┈┈━═☆Taking a step inside Randy gasped, the room was absolutely stunning. The door opened up to what seemed like the living room. It had a white carpet layed down, pinned to the floor by a double sided black and white sofa. One side was facing what looked like a painting while the other side was facing the door that he had just entered from. Simo picked up a remote and pressed a button and the painting came to life. It’s a T.V, Randy processed. The little house looked completely different from the giant outdated library downstairs. “All right gramps!” Randy said in approval. He didn’t have time to check out all of the house though. The boy made his way down the hall as memories of his childhood when he visited came back to him. I had completely forgotten this place, he thought sadly. He made his way to the bedroom and opened the door. The room was simple and consisted solely of a king size bed placed in the middle against a wall. Refusing to think of the possibilities of why his Grandpa who lived by himself would need a bed that big, he made his way to the closet shuffling around through all his old clothes before sighing. “None of this is my size…” Just as he said that Rally and Simo came in the room whith clothes for him. “Where…” Randy stopped himself from asking that question as the sudden memory of the guest bed room came to mind. Oh yeah, that was my Dad’s old room as a kid, he remembered.

☆═━┈┈━═☆Randy put on his father’s old clothes that the two pokemon had found for him. “It smells like home…” he whispered. Rally and Simo gave the boy a little nudge. “You’re right, that’s cause this is home. Come on, we need to go find Quinn.” The boy said in a happier tone, and with that they made their way downstairs without a second thought.

And as the story progresses, we greedily turn the pages
No matter how delightful or melancholy the future pages may be...
Because the suspense and the thrill that those delightfully melancholy pages gives you
Is all the adrenaline you need to keep going till the end of the book.
