Mario looked to the pair and sighed as he didn’t really want to know what was going on, feeling like if he did it would only give him a headache. First Quin tries to avoid his question by telling him for some reason what the guy was going to do and what he was going to take over the library. And before he could even question this as the guy now complimented his Pokémon, then quickly boasted about his, then challenged him to a battle. And again before he could answer that one he quickly changed his mind and claimed that he wasn’t even a challenge, and then inviting him to join them on their shopping trip. He was starting to get a headache with this who cannot keep his mind on one thing at a time. Mario was about to yell at the guy to slow down and talk normally to him, the guy claimed that he needs a change a change of clothes. After he made his escape he told Quin that they need to catch up later. With that the guy was gone; the guy was gone with a question of sanity in the air, the guy’s sanity or Mario’s own. Looking to Quin he sighed and said in a low tone to her.
“The people you meet.” Mario sat down on a bench as he watched as Pooch and Baker were growling at each other, or well he thought the ghost Pokémon was growling, it was hard to tell with it.

Pooch was still growling, not as much to Quin much anymore now she was directing most of it to the ghost Pokémon in front of her. In their own dialect that only Pokémon could speak he yelled at him.
“Back off ghost! You will not harm Mario! And if you try I will tear that zipper off your face!” She yelled at him some more, some of it insults and some more warnings. Mario stared at her some more as she continued to growl and bark. He didn’t know if she was speaking to the Pokémon or simply barking at the pair. Mario looked to Quin and asked in a bit of annoyed voice.
“Hey Quin what were you saying? Were you shirking work again? You know the chief hates it when you leave work to read your books.” The chief was the person in charge of the police department on the island, but more importantly their boss. Mario covered for Quin allot of times, but at time the chief found about her book reading, and often he had to share the blame of it. Mario knew Quin was quite good at her job, but often he got in trouble whenever she did.

All the noise that was going on caused one of his other Pokémon to stir, out of the poke ball came out Gas, the female ghastly. She floated to where Pooch was and asked her what was going on. She explained that the Banette was threatening their trainer. She didn’t seem as aggravated as Pooch was at the situation. She floated a little closer to Baker and spoke in a calm tired voice.
“Mind telling me what really happened from your side of the story? And why it was so important that it had to wake me up?” Gas was mainly asleep during the day was way more active at night as she was free to have fun scaring the Pokémon and people of the island without getting in trouble for it. Mainly people attributed the scares to sleepiness and never see it coming as she always comes out at unexpected times in the more unexpected places. Pooch didn’t seem to excited when Gas was asking for his side of the story as she felt like she wasn’t trusting her own word in the matter, but she wasn’t the only one, as most of the other Pokémon often accused her of being too overprotective of their trainer that she will often cause trouble because of it. She didn’t believe she was too protective, she felt that she was just the right amount of it. Besides none of them have been with Mario to know that he needs protecting, he was a good human who does good things, but often bad things do happen to him, and she wanted to always be there when those bad things appear, just like the Ghost named Baker ahead of them, was doing what she was saying to the others.

Mario was a bit surprised that his Ghastly came out as she did, normally his Pokémon do stay in their balls, but at times whenever something loud was happening they came out as the curious Pokémon they are. He wasn’t even surprised that she was taking the situation calmly as she was compared to how Pooch and the Banette were acting at the moment. Mario felt like if either he or Quin didn’t interfere soon they may be in the middle of a Pokémon battle royal.
“Hey Quin perhaps we should call them all back now right?” He couldn’t really tell if things were going to go either way, he just hoped Quin the detective could.
