"Well I dont hate you." I said with a shrug. "Your not the first one to use this big old gut as a springboard." I said slapping my gut lightly. "As for why im hanging around you. Truth be told your haning around me." I said leaning against a tree.
"Im always lounging around in this grove, the foods good, and theirs plenty of shade to catch an after meal nap. So in my opinion this may be the best spot on the island." I said smiling as I stared up into the sky.

I laughed nervously, "hehe, yea sorry bout that, i do stuff without knowing what i'm doing till it was done, i really do apologize for that," I finally turned for my lightly colored red eyes to look at him, though i couldn't make out a smile only a smirk or a crooked smile, nothing straight so i went with the smirk, closest thing. I then yawned and rubbed my eyes, "Mm, i must be beat," I got up on my feet and started walking, "guess i'll go back to that cold little cavern i call home."

"Camping out in a cold cave? That cant be to comfortable." I said stretching out. This place always carries a warm breeze from the volcano, even at night it stays pretty balmy here, thats why the fruit grows so well. You could always crash around here, theirs plenty of space." I said looking around.

I shook my head, "no i don't want to trouble you or anything, mean i'm used to sleeping there, no one really notices me around here, though i fall asleep easily seeing its close to the shore." I started to sprint in the direction that my cavern was in, the smell of fruit getting farther and farther till it was completely gone. Didn't take me long to find it near the shore between two large trees. Soon as i walked in i felt the cold chill of the cavern and a shiver went down my spine. I went as far as i could go into the black nothingness and curled up on the rocky floor there, laying my head on a rock it was very uncomfortable and i never found a position i was comfortable with so i rarely got any sleep which would explain my grumpy attitude. I let out a sigh and shut my eyes, though not falling asleep, "Mm, my back," i grumbled to myself, yes some part of my body would be in pain in sleeping a place like this all the time.

"Ah well I guess ill see her tomarrow then." I say to myself as I sprawl out on the ground and pass out in seconds. My dreams trouble me, flashes of the lab and pain appearing over and over again, little to my knowledge I was sleep walking and trashing anything in my path, the sounds of snapping trees and crushing rocks resonated throughout the island.

My head snapped up and my ears twitched at the sound of breaking trees, though i usually dont care, i got up and ran in the direction. I saw it was Argus and he seemed to be sleep walking, "Argus...Argus wake up!" i called dout to him, "it's me Rina, wake up Argus," I saw a tree come crashing down and i didn't move quickly enough and landed on top of it. I couldn't help but howl in pain after it had crushed my tiny body.

The scream of pain awoke me in an instant. My eyes flutter open to the sight of the trunk of the tree laying atop Nina.
"Rina, my god. What happened?" I call out as I crouch down and lift the trunk up above my head and tossed it to the side.
"Come on, please be ok." He said kneeling beside her. "Did I do this?" he asked looking around.

I felt the weight of the tree being lifted off and i got on my hands and knees, "its nothing to worry about, dont blame yourself," i rose to my feet and i felt a sharp pain in my side, onec my hand touched it i flinched, must of had a few bruised ribs but i acted like it was nothing, "its gonna take alot more than that to hurt me," I said as i brushed the dirt off me.

"Here, I think you shouldnt be alone. If your wounds get worse you will need help." I say scooping her up gently into my arms.
"Some of the fruit in the grove have healing properties." I say as we turn around and head back to the orchard.

I let out a sigh and shook my head, "look Argus i get injured alot its no big deal really, little rest in my cavern will do me some good." I wasn't used to people caring for me, i always fended for myself since no one really cared about me. "Sides im a tough girl, i can fend for myself, always been like that since i came on this dumb island."

"Yeah I wouldnt doubt that you can take care of yourself. But Us freaks gotta stick together." I say with a big grin on my face as we got back to the grove. Walking over to the tree where I was initially sitting I walk around to reveal a makeshift campsite, hammok fire pit, the works. I lay Nina in the hammok and begin to grab a few berries from a bowl and began to grind them into a pulp before turning back to Rina.
"Here eat this." I say offering her the bowl of berry pulp.

I scoffed, "i'm the freak of all freaks," I mumbled under her breath. Iswung on the hammok once I was laid down, actually feeling relaxed for once. I took the bowl from him and started downing the berries, finishing it quickly and tossing the bowl, "thanks," i muttered. I liftd my arms above my head to stretch my body out and then ilet out a yawn and rubbed my eyes.

I smirk as she downed the foot and yawned.
"Ok then, grab some sleep and ill see you in the morning." I said plopping down on the ground next to the hammock.
"And dont talk down about yourself like that, well all have our day in the sun someday. One of these days we will get off this floating prison and then we will all go back to those we lost." I say as I sigh and stare into the sky a forlong look in my eyes as I seemed to be staring out past the stars themselves.
"You know Rina, I like you. I think I can say were friends now."

I couldnt help but laugh and give a crooked smile, "i say we are friends Argus." I let out another yawn and curled up on the hammock, curling my tail around me and resting my head on my arms. I started to growl softly as i slipt into slumber that i hadn't done in quite a while, it was good getting a good nights sleep.

"Im glad you agree." I say with a yawn. With a thud I fell back onto the soft ground I was asleep in minutes but for once I wasnt plagued by horrible nigtmares.
