As Noah sat the train to Snowpoint city his Luxray(Comedian) lay with his head in Noah's lap. Noah sat rubbing the fur on Comedians head as he looked out the window at the ground and tree's layered with snow. "You know old friend you and me have been together since we were both old enough to recount the beginning of the lives we know now, I wouldnt trade our adventures for anything in the world" said Noah as he kissed the top of Comedians head.

Everyone thinks of changing the world,

The bright Cinnabar Island sun shone down on the boy as he let the ocean waves crashed against his feet. The sounds of the waves mixed with the wingull cries overhead were like a beautiful melody to the boy. The sky was cloudless and the sand was just right. It was perfect.

The train halted to a quick stop as it picked up and dropped off passengers. Kuan-Yin yawned and rubbed his eyes, irritated that the stop woke him from his perfect nap. He looked passed his sleeping Granbull in the window seat and out the frost covered window. Snow covered the ground and trees. He sighed at the thought of snow. Quickly, he bundled up in his coat and wondered when he was going to make it to headquarters to meet his new boss. He wasn't looking forward to meeting his new boss. From what he had heard, the new boss wasn't too keen on the idea of having lazy employees.

Kuan-Yin altered his view from the window to the headrest in front of him. It was a better view, no snow to remind him of how cold he was. He slouched down in his seat, causing his head to be almost level with the arm rest. Bored, he took out his pokegear and looked for an interesting radio station. To his dismay, there was nothing to his liking. He left it on the only station that came in at the moment. "I guess Oak will have to do." He sighed and closed his eyes, hoping the boring talking would lure him back into a peaceful nap.

but no one thinks of changing himself.

Sven Tramer

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an off hand way

_____________________

The sun blazed down upon those unfortunate enough to be outside in the heat of the day near Vermillion city. Every once in a while the monotony was broken up by a cloud casting shadows over the landscape. A lone figure and his Persian companion dragged their feet down the path leading into the city, the trainers slow march often broken up by strings of curses about the inconvenient sun. “You know what Lear. I think we may get the respect we deserve here in Vermillion. I mean, all we have to do is crush the gym leader‘s pokemon and get the badge and then everyone will be praising the name Sven Tramer.” The feline pokemon purred its approval as they looked at the buildings surrounding them.

Vermillion city wasn’t the largest city in Kanto but it was by no means deserted either. People rushed to and fro going about their business, some of them shopping, some of them heading off to work, some heading home, and even a few travelers like Sven, just trying to find the local poke center. One of these individuals, a girl around Sven’s age approached him, her spearow resting on her shoulder. He fought his natural instinct to brush her off, besides, she was pretty cute. “Hi! I‘m Cordelia and I‘m from Pallet town. Are you going to go battle Lt. Surge too? I hear he’s really tough!” Despite the obnoxious energy she emanated he gave her a small smile. “Yes I am. My name is Sven Tramer and I am from Saffron City. It is my great pleasure too meet you.” He was about to say more when she took his hand and started walking with him towards a small group of trainers. She cant be serious…. His worst fear were soon confirmed and he cursed himself for his weakness in speaking with her. He’d have to be careful in the future of feminine charm. “Hey everyone! This is Sven! He‘s a really cool trainer from Saffron!” Ooohs and Ahhhhs came form the group as they looked Sven and Lear over, the girls making disgusting cutsy sounds while admiring Lear’s fur.

Looks like another weak pretty boy to me. I bet that silly Persian is the only pokemon he’s got!” These remarks were issued from a portly teen in the back of the group. The disgusting creature had an oily think black ponytail that ran down his back and looked as though he were getting too old to be hanging with his current company. Sven certainly didn’t feel any need to prove his strengths to such a petulant abomination to trainers everywhere. “Apparently your Mam never taught you no manners punk!” He continued. “I oughta teach you a lesson you wont forget.” This time the trainer from Saffron just rolled his eyes at the unsightly man before him. This only served to enrage the whale like trainer even more. “Now you‘ve done it boy! I‘m gonna wipe that smirk right off your pretty face.” Pushing a hair out of his face Sven smirked. “I suppose it would be merciful of me to shut your face for you permanently. Lear, deal with whatever he summons but don’t make a mess. I don’t want you getting dirty on account of that….thing.

Reaching down to his belt the grossly obese trainer grabbed a poke ball and summoned a….Metapod? Lear looked as though he had just been hit with a powerful confuse ray. He stood there dumbfounded at the lack of opponent. “Come on Lear, we are leaving.” With that the Persian and its trainer turned their backs to the flustered fatty, still intent on fighting them. “Don’t leave! This isn‘t over! Coward!” Without an order from its master Lear turned back towards the Snorlaxian trainer and used glare. The insults immediately desisted as Sven and his partner strolled down the rode towards the pokemon center, the girls from the group including Cordelia eyeing him wistfully as he went.

As the train came to a halt ,and the steam from the engine billowed into the air, Noah and Comedian raised themselves from their seat and began to make their way off the train. Once they were off the the train Noah made sure to put his coat on as well as Comedians special made coat. "We have to stay warm in such cold times in a such a cold place" said Noah as he looked down at Comedian and saw him smile up. "We need to visit the pokemon center so we can get you something to eat and after that we need to stop by the store so we can pick up supplies" said Noah as he opened the black messenger bag at his hip to check their supply levels. "Mom and Dad are waiting for me to call them from the Pokemon center" said Noah as he and Comedian began to walk the streets of Snowpoint City taking in the beautiful sights and architecture from the buildings of their hometown.

Rowan Morri MartelXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
The Violent Temptress
XXXXXXXXXXYou Think Storms Are Scary?
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXYou Obviously Haven't Met Me.

Rowan leaned back against the wall of the Pewter City Pokemon Center with her eyes closed. She was relaxed which was an uncommon thing for her. Rowan tended to always be active and therefore moments like these were often missed. She leaned against the wall thinking about her past. Thinking about when she had been part of Team Rocket. It had been a very exciting part of her life and sometimes she missed it. Sometimes she wondered what would have happened if she hadn’t quit. Well, I probably would’ve caught Dratini and handed it over then continued to terrorize people for the rest of my life. Not much of a change really. Rowan thought with a smile.

She opened her eyes and looked over to the counter where the nurse was working. Her pokemon were finally ready. It had taken long enough. She walked to the counter and took them form the tray attaching all of the pokeballs to her belt. It was time to go and scout out the newbie trainers that would be coming. Rowan did it every year. She went looking at what that year’s trainers could do as they came out of Viridian Forest. You could tell mostly by how they acted at the exit. If they were frantic it meant they had, had to run a lot more than the less frantic trainers. Most years there were only one or two trainers that came out of the woods completely calm, the others were at least a little worried. A much larger portion came out with wild or Ecliptic pokemon on their tail. Rowan would generally help these ones out a little. Even a total b***h had moments of kindness after all.

Rowan made her way to the entrance to wait for the poor little newbies. With a short movement she threw two pokeballs into the air. The two pokemon that came out were a Haunter and an Umbreon. “You know the routine boys. Let off a cry when you see the newbies coming and try to keep the Ecliptic pokemon off them. If you get in over your head let off a call and I’ll come running, now get to it.” Her commands were short and her pokemon knew better than to disobey. She wasn't violent with them, just intimidating. She had a very commanding presence. They took off into the trees and bush staying hidden. It would be awhile yet before the new trainers made it very far.

Tell me you're not a thief,

Lake Acuity, the northern most of the three famous lakes in the region. Kuan-Yin looked at the lake from the frozen shoreline with his Granbull close by his side. Granbull sniffed the air for nearby pokemon as Yin looked at the island in the middle of the lake through a pair of binoculars. He adjusted the binoculars many times in hopes that the pokemon he was looking for would soon appear. With a loud sigh he dropped the binoculars to his side and plopped down on the ground. His Granbull quickly followed suit.

Kuan-Yin Place the binoculars on the ground and hugged his coat around his self tighter. It had gotten so cold that he could see each of his breaths as they left his body and floated into the sky. Granbull laid his self across Yin's lap and looked at the trainer. Yin kept staring at the island. "What a stupid scouting mission. And last minute to, none the less. If only the boss would have called five minutes later, the train would have set off and we would be headed off to Goldenrod." He grabbed the Granbull and hugged him close, something him do not normally do. But the whether was getting colder, and Yin figured they both could use the extra warmth.

oh but I'm in bad company.

As Noah and Comedian walked out of the pokemon center both with full stomachs. "Next stop the the Pokemon shop" said Noah as he began to walk down the snow laden sidewalk with the comedian at his side. As the two walked they etched their foot prints as they walked leaving behind proof that they had yet again walked these solemn streets.

Noah walked out of the Pokemon shop with a pack full of supplies and food for Comedian. "I think we could just keep walking to the house from here its not that far" said Noah as he looked down at Comedian to check his reaction. He looked as the Large Luxray began to nod his head in agreement. "Then on we go The Show must go on" said Noah as he smiled at his eldest friend and the two continued down the snowy side walk.

“Patience Athena. You can’t count your Torchics ‘till they hatch!” Hunter commented.
“Patience is one thing I don’t have.” Athena replied. Then Haley added. “So true!”
“Guys look!” Damein suddenly exclaimed. They all turned there heads toward the egg. The egg was glowing a pure white light, illuminating the room in white light. The four of them looked away as the light became brighter and brighter. Then, just as quickly as it happened, it stopped. Where the egg was just moments earlier, there was a baby Meowth in it’s place.
“Meow?” It asked cutely.

Three Weeks later, present day.

Athena looked at Brandon for a second, before replying. “You realize Brandon that when I defeat you today. I will be the battle frontier champion. So I want you to give me everything you’ve got.”
Brandon nodded. “I was already planning on that.”
“This will be a six-on-six battle against Pyramid King Brandon and Athena!” The referee declared. “Only the Challenger will be aloud to switch pokemon!”
“Ninjask, I need your assistants!” Brandon shouted.
“Houndoom! Come on out!” She commanded. At the point of entry, Houndoom let out a spine-chilling howl. The ninjask made a slit hissing sound in return to Houndooms howl.
“Ninjask, use Arielle Ace!” Brandon commanded.
“Houndoom! Evade it!” She shouted. As the Ninjask came near, Houndoom leaped above it and into the air at just the right second. For just moments later Houndoom turned in mid-air and Flamethrowered the Ninjask, all of it happening in the span of two seconds.
Brandon stared awestruck for just a couple of seconds, before coming back to reality. ”Ninjask! Lock On!”
“Houndoom! Use Flame Wheel!” Athena instructed.
Ninjask locked onto Houndoom, insuring a hit for the next attack. Houndoom’s body was incased in a wheel of flames. He charged full-force at Ninjask head-on. The ninjask let out a Hyper Beam at full-blast.

"Well hello there mommy dearest" laughed Noah as Comedian sat on his back legs waiting for Mrs. Delilah to give him a cookie. "Where is dad?" asked Noah as he looked through the window in the hallway and saw a tall muscular built man with white hair standing int he yard wearing a large white coat.

"It really doesn't matter how much more powerful you say you are then me, even if it's true. Up until now, the same could be said for all the enemies I've defeated, they were totally out of my league. "

Youth. Webster defines youth as the period between childhood and adult stages of one's life. So, is it possible for the world to rob someone of that? In this green town of Pallet, a town named so because it is often where trainers begin their journey one may not believe such a thing.

Over the ocean, about three years ago a weird, black mass shaped like a ball began hovering in the ocean of Hoeen spawning a strange virus that had similar effects to the coveted symbiotic life form deemed Pokerus. This however was a disease, an enigmatic virus that causes pokemon to evolve into an aggressive state of mind and turn trader on their trainer. Even the closest bonds seem to be broken by such a virus. The Ecliptic Virus. The virus itself is not entirely the problem but more-so it's containment. Pokemon who are infected may return to normal after fainting since the virus cannot function in an unconscious host for more then a few seconds but, when Eclipse Pokemon breed they produce what is known as a True Eclipse Pokemon. A pokemon who's genetic makeup has been permanently fused with that of the virus. These pokemon, although not contagious will simply breed and create more of it's kind, aggressive and tamable only by methods as savage as the infected pokemon themselves.

There is a Silver Lining however. Today is the day that trainers receive their first pokemon from Professor Oak to assist them on their journey to becoming a Pokemon Master. Though, it seems we have a kink in our hero's plans already. 'Quinn.. wake up.. it's almost lunch time.' his mother said, knocking on his door. "Yeah yeah I'll be up in a min- LUNCH TIME!!" he broke his sentence as his pikachu pajama-clad figure jumped out of the bed, sliding open his door, looking his mother straight in the eye and screaming hysterically, he exclaimed "Do you know what this means!?"

His mother blinked at him twice and answered hesitantly "N-no breakfast?" she looked at her son baffled.

"No, stupid!" he shouted. "I was suppose to be at the old geezers house by eight in the morning to get my Pokemon." he explained as he quickly changed his clothes, throwing on his socks as he left with his new shoes dangling from the laces in his mouth. "Gotta go, bye!" he said hurriedly sliding the door shut and throwing his shoes on in a remarkable display as he ran as fast as his feet would carry him to Pallet. He lived just outside the town.

Barreling down the path to Pallet, it was as the winds themselves couldn't keep up with the young would-be trainer. It was only ironic that he could move so fast and be late at the same time, of course that is what was decided for him when he over slept, no doubt watching trainers battle on television till the crack of dawn Damn it, this is the third year in a row I've missed getting my pokemon license. I won't take no for an answer this time; even if I am late!, his thoughts raced.

"Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur!.. I don't care which one, just please have a pokemon for me!" That was a lie. The thirteen year old had long since decided his partner. He was looking forward to seeing a Charmander by his side. He remembered when Ash's Charizard helped him save Dehlia, his mother and a small girl who's father had gone missing. Charizard, that would be so cool he thought and he wouldn't have to walk everywhere.

A tornado'd flurry of dust and debris trailed behind him like a car zooming down a dirt road. "Gotta get a pokemon.. Gotta get a pokemon.. Gotta get a pokemon.. Gotta get a pokemon!!" he just kept repeating with every foot step. Pitter patter pitter patter THUMP! "What-.. ow-whoa!" he shockingly yelled as he tripped and subsequently was dragged towards the bay nearby. Quinn quickly looked over his shoulder to find the culprit, seeing it just as he was dunked into the water. An Eclipse Pokemon! he shouted in his head as he saw the black and crimson Eclipse Tentacool swarm as well as an Eclipse Tentacruel, probably the Alphamale commanding the hunt. "Somebody! Help me!" he sputtered out as water filled his mouth and lungs.

Was it already over? He'd heard stories. Eclipse Pokemon, pokemon so vicious they'll kill a man for just walking by. He'd never seen one and he didn't have much contact with the outside world other then the TV so, he almost didn't believe in them. However, seeing these pokemon and the reality of the water drenching his clothing.. he believed now. Am I going to die? Am I really done so early? How? Why? Please... somebody.... anybody.. help me.. He thought about how pathetic it was, how bad his mother would cry when they found his soaked corpse. It was no sooner then his conscious breaking then an unusually active Abra showed itself. It began.

The Abra floated above the Eclipse Swarm as if it was searching, it had one eye opened up, no eyeball visible however as it only shown a bright fluorescent blue light from it's intense searching and psychic power. Eerily, a distorted, echoed sound of thought sounded through the air. They were the somber thoughts of a dying boy named Quinn. Empathy. Quinn opened one eye as he looked up to the waters surface; slowly descending into the ponds depths watching the bubbles float away from himself. He saw a figure above the surface that was neither tentacruel or tentacool.

They say that emotion is the most powerful driving force of the human kind. If you had your heart in something, you could do anything, even become the best. Even fly among the bird pokemon. Even do the impossible. Save the day, win the girl and live happily ever after. Tch. What a load. If this is the way people die, before the life even starts... what's the point of trying. They also say that pokemon, often psychic pokemon can feel the emotions of the creatures around it. Perhaps that's why that Abra is here, fighting those other pokemon. Yeah, that's a good thought to die on. Noah imagined as a he drifted back into a deadly slumber.

Without hesitation, Abra eyed the Tentacruel in the center and generated a large Shadow ball which it needed to hold in a Atlas pose before launching. The ball landed just in front of the target causing a massive whirlpool effect in the water. As soon as Abra spotted the boy, he caught him in the pool and used Teleport, bringing him all the way to Professor Oaks doorstep. Abra had used up it's energy and immediately fallen asleep.

Several minutes later, a haiku could be heard coming from a familiar voice. "Oh that's not right, what rhymes with Bulbasaur?" he said thinking to himself. "Oh my!" he said spotting Quinn on the stairs "Kid, are you alright!?" Oak shouted before rushing in the Lab to call the doctor as he brought him into the lab.

A Pokemon battle seems to have taken place and a familiar voice echos across the battle field to stand against the opposing trainer. Yes it was Quinn. Wait.. Quinn? When did he get a pokemon? "Charizard!" exclaimed the boy "Dodge the Vine Whip and use Venusaurs vines to fly it high and deliver it back to the ground with Seismic Toss!" With his trainers command, the Charizards wings kicked dust up and sent it flying to the side, grappling the vines in each hand and taking to the skies past the clouds before diving back to the Earth, nearly K.O.ing the floral-dinosaur pokemon. "Alright, lets finish it off, Wing Attack!"

The sound of a nearby door opening interrupted the battle and everything seemed to blur. "Thank you doctor, I'll keep an eye on him." The door latched shut.

Tick Tick. Noah's eyes finally seemed to blink open. "Ow.. my head. It was a.. dream?"

"Oh! Noah." The professor smirked at the child coming to.

Almost immediately, Noah sprang out of the bed revitalized. "A Pokemon! There must be a pokemon left for me! Right, Old Man?" He said anxiously as he got up in the professors face.

"Well, Noah, your pretty late. I'm afraid all the pokemon are gone, exactly why your asking me to give you a starter is kind of strange considering you already have a Pokemon of your own; and a decent one too." He said backing off as the sound of footsteps pattered in the room. "Aaaaabbra.." he yawned as it plopped onto it's rear, falling asleep. "It was riding on your back when I found you. You were in pretty rough shape. What happened?"

"I was..?" Noah said as he struggled to remember. "That's right! I was drowning! I had woken up around one, I got messed up his morning so I quickly bolted out the door. Just as I was getting to town, some Eclipse Tentacool and a Tentacruel tried to have me for lunch! The last thing I remember is going under the water and seeing the bubbles float in front of me."

"So then, could this Abra have really saved you?" Oak pondered. "Well in any case you have your work cut out for you, Quinn. Raising an Abra wont be easy at all." he chuckled as he handed the new trainer his Pokedex and Pokeballs.

"Why's that?" he said flipping the Dex open and pointing it at the pokemon. The Pokedex began speaking information stored on an Abra in a somewhat mechanical voice. 'Abra, the Psychic Pokemon. It's brain is very developed allowing it to give off very poweful Psychic attacks to defeat it's foes.' Immediately, Noah was over thrilled and chuckled a bit, eager to claim Abra as his own. "You'll see." Oak commented as dexter finished. 'However, because of this intense power, it's brain becomes strained so it must sleep at least eighteen hours a day.' "D-Darn it!" he exclaimed with distaste.

"It'll be fine Quinn, now run along. Oh and say hi to my Grandson in Viridian City. He's the Gym Leader there, you know. You remember Gary" Oak said pushing the new duo out the door, Abra assuming a spot on Quinn's shoulder where it would sleep again. "W-wait, what abou--" Slam, the door closed.

Oak let out a huge sigh before going on to himself. "Jeeze, almost burnt my Tofu because that lad took too long to go. What a day.." Munch munch munch...

Shoving his hands into his pockets, and settled down from a somewhat short walk from Pallet. Quinn's usual facade came into play as he approached the Viridian Gate. "I suppose I'll go through the forest and get to Pewter right away. Best way to train is in the Gyms after all. After I beat all those, I'll wait for the regionals to start. I'm good at waiting..." he said looking around at the somewhat large city with half open eyes. Meowth groups scurrying into back allies. Dexter went off; 'Meowth. The Cat Pokemon, it attacks with it's claws and teeth. Best tamed as pets, an unruly Meowth in training might use it's trainers cash to fuel it's Payday attack.' "Sounds like trouble I don't need.." he said as he moved along through the crowd of people like a fish swimming up river.

"Well, if it isn't Mr. Jails." a sarcastic tinted voice called out.

"Oh hey. Your the Professors son right? Blue Oak? Rumor has it you became the Gym Leader of this town." Quinn stated, somewhat uninterested. "Aaaabraa..." his pokemon added tiredly.

"Yeah and I'm the strongest of em' all too, Jails. Gramps said that you'd be coming my way so I decided to greet you personally. " The boy was at least eighteen by now, featuring a black vest with a white hood and brown cargo pants. "Is that your Pokemon? Ha! Ashy-boy did the same thing. He always had his Pikachu on his shoulder and here you are with an Abra. You know, the other Trainers were here hours ago, they probably got to Cerulean City by now."

"Yeah well, I'm not any normal trainer Gym Leader Gary." he said lazily as he mocked Gary by calling emphasis on his title. Sarcasm was his specialty. He pointed towards he forest and began to ask. "If I head straight through there, I should come out at Pewter, right?"

Gary nodded. "Sure will, my number is in your PokeGear so be sure to call me when your ready for a match. I'll be sure to crush you then. Well, gotta keep up with my training. Smell ya later, Quinn." Dismissed the Gym Leader before walking towards Pallet, leaving his Gym like so many Gym Leaders began to do these days.
