"It really doesn't matter how much more powerful you say you are then me, even if it's true. Up until now, the same could be said for all the enemies I've defeated, they were totally out of my league. "

"Dodge it, then into the water Venonat!" The Venonat did just that, barely sidestepping the inferno with a little singed fur and falling into the pool of water and remaining underneath it. Steelix couldn't touch it there but, Venonat was a bug pokemon, not a water pokemon. There could be some difficulties..
"Actually your half right." Quinn stated with proctor-like responsiveness. "It's only it's rock-typing that makes it weak against fighting attacks. Unfortunately, I don't recall if Steelix's Steel typing shares the same weakness." For a moment, Quinn grew silent as if to think about his current situation and then almost as quickly as his voice halted, it returned. "Abra, tell Venonat to use psybeam as propulsion and tackle Steelix from below. I want him to latch onto it's head. After which it should use Mega Drain." He said this to Abra and only Abra. It was to be an experiment on strategy. Normally, trainers would know what was happening because they had to shout commands out but, if Quinn could relay those commands to his pokemon without having the trouble of the opponent overhearing he could battle more effectively then any trainer, especially considering his unorthodox methods.
It wouldn't be but a few seconds of silence to brock that the bug plummeted into the water and then shot up from a pool beside it, rainbow colored beams propelling it out of the water and through the air so that it was rushing at Steelix's skull. He wasn't sure how effective this attack would be. If memory served, Steelix would be weak against Mega Drain. Of course, it all rode on the fact of Venonat landing on Steelix.
"So you see, to me that gap means nothing at all! I'll overcome these terrible odds and defeat you because I have to, I swore I'd defeat anyone who threatens my friends!"
