In the halls of Lilycove Academy walk some of the finest students in the Hoenn region, from early teens to late, along with retired professors, excelled nurses, and veterans of many other professions growing and aged. Students come across the entire world to attend Lilycove Academy for it's fast growing success and employment rates-- some have even never cared for a pokemon until their enrollment into the school. Every new student is given a randomly generated pokemon to raise and train throughout their school - life, and those who have successfully learned how to train and treat pokemon are able to graduate with their academic diploma. This is the reason why so many graduates of Lilycove Academy are destined for success. Besides learning simply how to raise a pokemon, each student also enrolls in a major to profess throughout their time at Lilycove, including ranging, medicine, training, researching, coordinating, and breeding. Many students have gone on since their time at Lilycove to become regional champions or great professors.
Despite academic successes and the promise for a ripe career, Lilycove is also known for it's extracurricular activities and location. Multiple clubs and team sports have blossomed from Lilycove Academy, some even competing regional-wide, and students are encouraged to join such activities to meet more faces on campus. If clubs or sport activities hosted by the school still do not intrigue some students, the white beach sand that lays in front of the school and the wooded area and safari zone that rest behind it may keep these students off the couch. There are many students who go exploring on weekends and holidays down routes 121 and 124 to find uncommon pokemon or just to get fresh air. A boat ride is even set up for students on Saturday's to visit islands and towns across the shore. Although Lilycove does lack a local gym for battling practice, many students reside in the school gym or local city gym's that they can visit on the weekends. Besides this, Lilycove provides almost all entertainment, including a pokemon contest hall, a small motel that is hiring part-time employees, a museum, a department store, the city harbor, a pokemon trainer fan club, and even a move-deleter house. It is quite evident that students that come to Lilycove Academy keep their interests peeked and their days spent.
However, despite this glossy overlook of Lilycove Academy, there is trouble lurking nearby. Withing the past decade Hoenn has become a new target for an old gang, Team Rocket, and nobody knows why. Though little people fear of this news, as Team Rocket is notorious for it's failure, there has been violence and crime on the rise. Some students have even sworn to seeing shady figures in the woods despite the principal's assurance that the villainous gang is no where near their city... and even if so, Lilycove is safely protected by school guards and skilled teachers. Although some parents have grown upset at the news of crime and violence rates increasing, students are still flooding the campus of Lilycove Academy, and any news about Team Rocket or local violence is quickly reassured or ignored.
With a new year upon the school more students have enrolled into Lilycove Academy, ready to leave their clingy mothers behind, to obtain an unknown pokemon, to start their studies, and to have fun. The school is built upon five years of work, with children typically enrolling at age 14 and graduates typically leaving at age 19, though a few exceptions are made for the brilliant and the dull. Although Lilycove Academy is strict on letting certain students enrolled, it is also a school that can easily be bribed into allowing some of the less determined students pass by. A school counselor typically pushes these students to strive for success and find a major, so as not to jeopardize the school success rate.. but still Lilycove holds the lazy and the passionate. Which student will you be?
