Despite the pirate’s most earnest attempts to revitalise the two, it was all done in vain. No amount of poking, prodding, and shaking would unpetrify them. And they weren’t the only ones petrified anyway. Eugene—or rather, the strange-looking thing that had replaced Eugene—suddenly blasted two of her classmates to pieces with only a flick. The gale shattered the statues, leaving only rubble. Seotta’s grip on Lina’s frozen, stone arm weakened.

What is this place? she suddenly, randomly found herself asking. It was the café, yes, but monochrome. It made no sense. Some of them were stone, others not. Eugene was gone, replaced with this monstrous, twelve-foot tall creature. What most worried her was that it had just blown two of the stone statues to smitherens with but a wave of its arm. That was not good. Lina and Symphony were stone, too! She didn’t want that think blowing them up as well.

Temee,” came a shout from one of the other still colored café patrons. “Shinde yagaru!

It brought Seotta back to what was actually going on, but that might not have been a good thing. While a few of those not already stone might have been trembling in fear, it didn’t seem like everyone had lost their nerve quite yet. Neither had Seotta. She wasn’t scared for herself, but worried about fixing the fact her friends were now stone. This bizarro café itself was only a secondary matter. After all, if they got here there had to be a way back, no? She didn’t think about it at all. She never thought.

Sypher was busy above her trying to think, to analyze. Akira and Zoey were more struck with fear, as were apparently the majority of her fellow technicolor cast. Was she scared? No, she told herself. I’m pissed! These last few seconds passed like an eternity in her head, but the next three went by in a flash.

Kazune simply brashly attacked the behemoth creation in a fit of rage at what it, apparently, had done to their classmates. And while she was midkick, the demonic presence would find another young woman brashly attacking it. Seotta had risen in a flash from her position kneeling below Sypher. Three rapid and long steps. An athletic jump followed, and she was in the air planting a dropkick on the pyramidal base of their strange enemy on the side opposite of the waitress. Naturally, she didn’t do much superficial damage, but she hadn’t exactly planned out the course of action. Instinct was in control of her, as it really always was.

Fix them!!” came an anguished scream as she kicked off bizarro-Eugene’s base and landed crouching a few feet away.“Fix them right now... you... stupid thing barnacle!

Not the most eloquent insult ever, but could you blame her?

The pirate girl and Kazune’s impromtu combination attack was succeeded moments later by another pair of attackers. Sypher had quit trying to think and simply went along with the two girls’ decision to shoot first and ask questions later. The tall worker had grabbed a nearby chair and swung the wooden furniture into bizarro-Eugene. A mystery blond had decided that was as good a plan as any, and seconds later yet another chair came crashing into the strange creature in front of them.

Seotta’s expression, which had briefly been an angered scowl, now turned into a cocky grin. She didn’t know what this place was, or what it was they were trying to hurt, but it didn’t matter. Thinking was for smart people who had time. This thing just blew up two of their classmates, and would probably continue doing so if not attacking the unpetrified ones among them. That meant do something. Do anything!

Katsumi suddenly sprung, or rather skated, in with a sugary topping. “Run for it while the cake’s blinded it!

Seotta had to do a double take. What the hell was that going to do to the thing? Did it even use eyes? She guessed it had them, but this was some kind of magical-creature-monster thing with a mouth on its chest! Normal logic didn’t apply; though Seotta wasn’t exactly the most frequent user of said logic. Still, Seotta couldn’t believe Katsumi was suggesting they run. What kind of—

Coward!” she finished her train of thought aloud.

Standing up, her golden-brown eyes gazed directly at her pervert classmate with an incredulous expression of utter disbelief. How could someone suggest running? It didn’t even occur to Seotta that most people cared more for their own life than that of others’. Self-preservation was a high priority for most people, after all. But Seotta wasn’t quite a girl you’d describe as most people, or normal; idiot and airhead were more common titles bequeathed her. She was very much more the kind of person who recklessly acted without thinking. So, therefore, she could not for the life of her compute trying to run here as a valid alternative; running meant abandoning their classmates, which was about as far into this whole situation as she was willing to use brainpower on.

Seotta knew no fear, for better or worse.

User ImageWith the world stuck in its gray scale, not a single one of the statues seemed to react in any way to the imminent danger before them, or the shouting from the students who still moved and tried to free them from their stone prison. It was as if the students and teachers were no longer even there nor beneath the stone of these statues, but instead, they were replaced, their entire existence was now replaced with this perfect construct, a mockery of their true being. And there at the heart of this unknown world, the monster that was once Eugene was now on a rampage to destroy each one of these statues, the effect this may have being unknown to the eight who were able to still move. Despite the numerous questions that were likely filling their minds, there was no time to try and figure it out, as the creature looked like it had every intention to continue its destruction. One long, clawed hand illuminated in a golden crackle of electricity, while the other had a pale green aura around it that seemed to move rapidly, like a vortex of wind was surrounding it.

The world itself didn’t even seem to acknowledge their presence, as if their own existence was lost in this strange realm where no one knew what was possible anymore. Gray as it was for this world though, they still seemed to have some ability to interact with it, from Zoey flipping a table, Syhper grabbing a chair, and Katsumi even taking up the cake. Everything still carried its same weight, same texture, but the color was all wrong, and sound itself seemed lost other than their own voices and the creature before them. In fact, they would hear the sound of stone grinding against wood, as the large, black tower that sat at the base of the creature who was once Eugene started to move. As if they were watching a chess piece slowly glide along a board, it started to move towards the next set of statues, getting closer to Batsu, but looking down at the statue of Lilynet, Lance, and Hakunae that were nearby. But, just as it raise a large, clawed hand that cackled with violent bolts of electricity, something else finally brought its attention.

"Temee, shinde yagaru!"

Before, it seemed to fail at even acknowledge the eight, as if since they were not in the same, monochrome scale like the rest of the world, they might as well have not existed. However, as soon as it felt a mighty kick, the creature had reacted. Kazune would feel her foot hit hard against the base of the creature, but to no avail, nothing seemed to happen. In fact, the tower that made up this creature who was once Eugene felt as hard as stone, and she might as well have kicked the side of the building, probably even hurting herself more than anything. The creature cast a glare her way, deep, leering eyes of abysmal yellow looking down at her like a God ready to destroy the creation of man.

“YoU dO nOt BeLoNg In My WoRlD. tHoSe WhO dOn’T bElOnG, dIe!”

It spoke! The disgusting, fanged mouth along its abdomen had moved, and words that were tainted, dark, and dripping with malevolent hatred echoed from it through the room. But somewhere in the dark, twisted words, Eugene’s voice was ever so faintly layered in it, but covered in a warped dementia of rage and chaotic lust, finding the will to attack them now, as Kazune was now staring down at death right eye to eye.

It ignored those who hadn’t attacked it yet. Batsu was close, but the male meant nothing to him this moment. Zoey was out of site, and out of mind. And Akira was far enough away that it didn’t mind him either. Instead, it focused on Kazune, as suddenly, something else had hit it. Two quick smacks along it from chairs smashed against its base, as Kiyo and Sypher showed their bravado and ran for him, hitting it with all they had. And yet, it was like smacking cardboard into the side of a truck; nothing seemed to happen in terms of damage, and instead, it turned to look at them too with a quick twist of its head, growing infuriated by these insects!

Both hands raised, a vicious surge of lightning and wind in its palms, and then, for just a moment, its vision was faltered. With a soundless splat, Katsumi threw the cake its way, landing directly and the black, smooth skinned face of the creature, covering it’s eyes and spectacles, briefly causing the creature to pause. Had it actually worked? Judging from the angered growl, it seems very well that it might have! However, its blindness didn’t last long. Instead, with the wind in one hand, it swiped its green glowing hand briefly towards it’s face, and a fierce blast of wind blew the scraps off, buying them maybe a second or two, but the blindness not lasting for long at all, almost instantly completely cleaned from the sugary confection that was launched into its face moments ago. And with that, Seotta even took advantage of it, and got a good strike in, but like the rest, she'd feel like she was just hitting a wall.

“MaZio!”

And then, it struck back. It’s long, clawed hand that seemed to embrace lightning itself had waved outwards towards the group, as bolts of lightning strayed from its hand. When it did, the fierce yellow bolts moved with incredible speed, and Sypher, Kazune, and Kiyo would suddenly find themselves getting struck by lightning. A stray bolt nearly hit Katsumi as well, but she was fortunate enough to be moving when it came at her, and hit the ground just short of where she landed before skating away just in time. And Seotta was too far off to one side to get in the way of it's onslaught fortunately. However, for the other three, their bodies were scorched from within, muscles twitching, skin burnt, and bodies likely going numb.

However, this supernatural bolt of lightning that struck them wasn’t anything like a person who had been hit before could ever say. A real lightning bolt had a chance to be fatal, you would black out, and need to be hospitalized. For the three who were hit though, they still stood strong. Blindingly painful as the bolt was at first, the pain quickly started to fade, as if there was something preventing them from being knocked out or killed like a normal bolt. Something shrouded them, protected them; a supernatural force within themselves that they had yet to tap into. It was the force that allowed them to interact in this monochrome world, a force that allowed them to take on the attack and still stand, and also, a force that would gift them the chance to fight back.

User Image

At first, there was a voice. Everyone had that dull pain in the back of their skulls since this all started, but now, suddenly, it was starting to rapidly fade, as if their vision was clearing and they opened their eyes for the first time. Something was settling within them. The same force that allowed them to fight, now it was giving them something to fight with. Before each one of them, a strange, sparkling light would appear before each of them. Each light was a different color, a color that they found most comfort in, and the shining light would start to materialize something in their hands. A weapon. Rapidly before their very eyes, a weapon began to appear.

User Image

The voice was heard again, everyone hearing it ringing in their head, like It came within their own thoughts, but each voice was slightly different to one another, the start of their Persona coming free, but not quite there just yet. First, it gifted them with a weapon. For Zoey, a brilliant blue light came before her, as she was huddled behind the table, her palms would feel something form within them, as before long, she held a staff. A witches staff no less, and within her skirt pocket, there was another blue glow, as Zoey didn’t even realize it at first. Her pocket radio, the small, almost finger sized device that was important to her since it was given to her by her father had started to glow, the girl not aware that she would need this soon to summon her Persona.

But she wasn’t the only one. The weapons were appearing for everyone, and a very personal item to each person began to glow. Even those who didn’t carry this very important item with them would suddenly find that they had it, as if it had manifested itself within their own pockets, glowing brightly in the same glow as the light that was materializing a weapon before them had. For Katsumi, she had a flash drive with a little heart on it tucked away, as that started to glow, and in her own two hands, a bright, magenta-colored weapon came into her hands, looking like some sort of rocket launcher with a rainbow painted along it. For Kiyo, the little pipe he carried with him started to glow, and he too received a weapon; a greatsword actually, one that held a strange, mystical feel to it, like there was a great history to this sword. For Batsu, the photo he carried of himself and his adoptive mother started to glow. And in his own two hands, a beautifully crafted, wooden longbow had appeared, a single arrow there with it, but certainly not the only that would appear. For Kazune, her own wallet that had a long history to it started to glow. And there, in her own two hands, a large, well crafted round shield came in one hand, and a solid, strong saber in her other. For Sypher, his own Misanga bracelet that was on his left wrist began to glow. And in the same colored light, a weapon appeared for him too. A scythe of wicket proportions that felt like it carried a life of its own came into his own two hands. For Seotta, she would realize that the small, damaged silver coin she always carried began to glow. As well, in one of her hands, an ornate, moon shaped scimitar took form in her hands. Finally, for Akira, he would notice the dog tags he wore around his own neck began to glow. And then, in that similar light, his hands would find a long spear within his hands, sharp and deadly.

Everyone had been gifted a weapon to fight this monster. And within them, they could feel a power growing, something trying to break free that would in moments. Their Personas seeked freedom, but for the moment, they had to fight!

__________[ Where? Shirio Tsuki Café ] [ Feeling? Rocket launcher?! Rocket Launcher... Rocket Launcher~]

When the creature seemed to pause after taking the cake to face, Katsumi dared to think that maybe, just maybe, it had actually worked. Monster-Eugene apparently didn't have cake-vision, so they could run for it, even if Seotta seemed against the idea. If they got out of here, they could get help - this was the job for the military or something, not some newly-graduated ex-students with chairs! However, just as she stood up and started to move away from the creature, it cleared its vision with a single, vicious blast of wind, and Katsumi could think just one thing. '...s**t.' As the yellow bolts fired forth from its hand, she leaped away, managing to scoot clear of the blast zone before they could hit her as well. This was bad. This was very bad. The thing seemed basically immune to anything they could realistically do to it, and it could fire lightning out of its hand. The overwhelmingly impossible odds they were facing right now might've been faintly amusing if they were happening in a video game or something; instead, Katsumi just tried to put some distance between herself and ex-Eugene, hoping that maybe if she got far enough away, it wouldn't be able to reach her. With it's lightning. Because lightning's famous for it's ability to not go very far, right?

She stopped when she suddenly found her <3-marked flash drive glowing from inside her pocket - despite the fact that she knew she'd left it plugged into the front of her machine back at home. Then again, it was glowing with no real explanation, so it almost went without saying that this was more than a little out of the ordinary. She was about to fish it out of her pocket to check it hadn't burst into flame or something, when she found something forming within her hands - a large, tube-shaped object; a bright pink colour covered in stars, and with a rainbow-coloured stripe running down it. She stared at it with confusion as it finished forming. She certainly knew what it looked like, but that just left the obvious question hanging over her head as to why? Why was there suddenly a bright pink, starry-and-rainbow patterned rocket launcher in her hand? Then again, after everything that had happened today, did logic even have a place in this conversation? It was certainly a more appropriate weapon than anything in the room, but she'd never actually fired a real gun in her life. Was it even loaded? And even if it was, she sure as heck didn't see any extra pink-starry rockets anywhere; then again, she didn't see any hatches or slots on the weapon to reload it.

She turend to face the monstrous Eugene, dropping to one knee as she hefted the weapon onto her shoulder, she gripped the handle firmly, bracing her other hand onto the top of the barrel. The weapon didn't seem to have any sights of means of aiming it precisely, so she'd just have to make sure she aimed it properly on her own. She had no idea what to expect out of the weapon when she actually fired it - she'd seen people fire rocket-propelled grenades before on TV and in movies, and they always seemed to have a heck of a lot of kick to them. She was half expecting this to send her flying just as far as Ms. Hakunae was sent when Eugene attacked her, just from the force of the knockback alone. Lining up the shot, she braced herself as best she could, before squeezing the trigger, clenching her eyes tightly shut as she expected to feel the thing push back against her like a truck. Instead, she felt barely anything.

The weapon lurched back as a bright pink missile was launched out of the barrel, a trail of flames propelling it forward towards Giga-Eugene's chest-mouth-thing. A trail of smoke, tinged with a rainbow, belched from the barrel of the gun itself, which had barely put any force against Katsumi's shoulder at all; no more than a small shove. It certainly hadn't been the shoulder-rending force she'd been expecting. As the rocket hit its target, it exploded in an almost perfectly-spherical explosion, but it was a far small explosion than any real rocket would be - it was maybe five feet wide at the very most. The trigger seemed to have locked into the 'pressed' position for a moment, before popping back into position again. Instinctively, Katsumi adjusted her shot just slightly to compensate for the minor kickback, taking aim at Ultra-Eugene's chest-mouth again, and squeezed the trigger once more. Another rocket fired forth, even though there was clearly no phyiscal way that both of the rockets could've actually have fit inside the weapon - since they were both about the same size. Just like before, as the rocket hit home, it detonated in a small explosion, and moments after the trigger was pressed, it popped out again, ready to be pressed.

It was then that the reality sunk in; she was holding a freaking rocket launcher with endless ammunition which never required reloading - it was a damn video game rocket launcher! There was no sense of fear in the girl now. She might not have known much about fighting and she didn't know much about real guns, but she knew her way around a virtual rocket launcher - and if this thing really did have endless ammunition, then maybe, just maybe, they'd be able to take out Eugene before he made everyone extra-crispy. Standing up, she kicked off and rolled backwards, putting just a bit more distance between herself and the monster-Eugene as she fired a third rocket, this time aiming it towards the hard-looking pyramid-base-thing that seemed to make up its legs. The rocket launcher didn't show any obvious signs of ever running out of ammo, so she was going to do what she did whenever she had her hands on one in a game - spam the hell out of it!

User ImageHow could they all be so foolish!? As five out of the eight of them actually ended up rushing up ahead to attack the creature, Zoey couldn’t help but wonder what drove them to fight. The odds were against them, this creature was over twice their size, and now it was throwing lightning bolts around like confetti, already obliterating two statues that were once people. It cut through stone! These people were idiots to think they could take it! First the unfamiliar girl who seemed a little older than them had charged in, and actually tried kicking it, even a leaping kick probably not passing that tall, stone base. Sypher and Kiyo came at it with chairs which also yielded no result, and even Katsumi threw cake at its face while Seotta send a dropkick its way. Zoey had remained hiding behind the table, eyes wide in fear as her pupils shrank, but that didn’t stop her from looming over the edge of the table, her eyes peeking just past it to see what was going on. She may not have wanted to believe this was happening, but there was a deep curiosity in her that forced the girl to still loom over the table enough to watch. Never before had Zoey been quite this afraid. Even when her own mother had wielded a knife against her, Zoey couldn’t compare that terror to this, as she found herself shivering, tense, and practically frozen in place at what she was witnessing. The short statured girl kept telling herself this couldn’t be happening, that this was all just some elaborate dream. And yet, as the bolt of lightning struck through and hit three of them, she shrunk back, wide eyed behind the table, her heart beginning to pound. She may have been the type who enjoyed a good fantasy, often in books or on the computer, but this was nothing like that. No dream could feel this real, and in real life, there were no second chances. That was a real bolt of lightning. They had really just gotten nailed then. And this terror she felt building up was not a trick. Eugene really had melted away. The people around her really were statues. She really was staring a deadly creature down. And most of all, she really was one of the few able to still move, forced to suffer this horror in real time.

But, there was hope.
There was a voice. The pain in her skull -like the others- it was starting to fade. As if suddenly, a moment of clarity was starting to come over her. Zoey was still in the midst of trying to figure this all out, but for just a moment it all started to seem to come together. When she first saw Kazune run up there, she thought she was crazy, as well as those who followed. Now though, something begun to swell in her, Zoey was shaking still, fun a faint glow before her seemed to tell her not to give up. It was a radiant blue light of hope, something telling her that she shouldn’t just give up yet. At first, Zoey saw the blue light pulse within her skirt pocket, and the girl with a trembling hand quickly reached into her pocket, only to pull out something that meant so much to her. It was a little pocket radio, roughly the size of a flash drive, and was meant to have a pair of headphones plugged into for listening to. Zoey had received it from her father roughly a year ago, something he picked up on one of his many trips during his trucking job. What made it most special to her wasn’t just that it came from her father though, but that on the back, a really small photo of her dad was there. He was always working and on the road, so she rarely got to see him. Yet, she loved him, a bit of a ‘daddys girl’ she may have been, but she would gladly admit it, her father being the one person in her life who really made her feel special and loved. So seeing that photo when she listened to the radio, it made her think of him, and how one day, she hoped to run a radio show that he would be able to always here her own voice while he was on the road working. Sure, some may have thought it was a silly aspiration, but to Zoey, it was a goal. She always loved the radio and now it just gave her another reason to like it more.

But now, that precious device had a brilliant glow around it, and Zoey didn’t know what to think. She held it for a moment, inspecting it from the safety of being behind the table, when suddenly, another blue light started to come down. In the blue light though, dark, abysmal black flecks sprinkled down with it, as if they were stealing other portions of light, supernaturally dark. The blue light and dark specks started to form though, as suddenly, Zoey felt a rod within her grasp, a little weight coming with it, as it took shape. There, in her own hands, a brilliant staff had materializes in the light. The staff itself was a dark black, but along it’s both ends there was a shining, silver material that was crafted in an ornate manner. The head and tail of the staff both shined with a pale blue and black light though, a powerful aura emanating from it like it was giving off a magical power. Zoey felt a strange sense of comfort and power from it though, like holding it alone gave her the strength to fight. At that moment, she rose to her feet, only to look around and realize that others were gaining a potential weapon as well. Was this really happening? Defying it did nothing in the end, reality had sunk in, and holding this staff told Zoey she had the chance to fight back. Fear subsided and was replaced by a sensation of power. She didn’t know how to fight with this weapon, but it just felt right in her grasp. The girl had been skilled with using a staff before. After she had a guest once in her radio show actually try to attack her, she had used the microphone stand to defend herself and naturally handled it well, and this caused her to try and practice using a bo-staff later. So a staff in hand felt right. However, she knew this was well beyond any ordinary staff, and she wasn’t going to use it physically. This held a different kind of power entirely!

Standing now, Zoey’s earlier look of fear had been replaced with a confident grin. At her core, she was still scared, but she wasn’t going to cower any longer! Everyone started to fight, she had to as well! The girl wanted to look after Batsu and check if he was okay, but before she would, she’d initiate her own attack first. She left the safety of being behind the table, knowing it was useless now to hide behind, witnessing Katsumi already launching rockets at this monstrosity that was once Eugene. And so, Zoey would try and do the same thing. The short girl got up, ran from her cover, and while running towards Batsu, she was looking at the large creature, and felt the power of her magic staff unleash itself. “Take this!” She didn’t know just how this staff worked, but even she could tell it was far from a normal one. And as she squeezed it in her grasp, pointing the head of the glowing staff towards the creature, a quick beam of dark blue light blasted forth, shooting like a laser, before it nailed the creature with a shower of energy, bursting on contact as the creature looked like it was actually in pain.

In fact, between both the rockets, and then the blast of magical energy, the creature actually seemed like it was hurt! With the rockets nailing it in the mouth region, a few teeth shattered off and the dark matter that was its flesh caved in a little, a black ooze like substance that acted as blood starting to drip from its wounds. The last blast coming towards it’s base hit hard too, but seemed to soak up the damage, as it left behind a clouded, smoky impact, but the creature was more annoyed by it than anything. Even the teeth that were broken and jagged started to already slowly regenerate, building itself back up in darkness, the missing teeth being filled with a black void, before it turned its proper shade of white, the blood-like wounds also starting to slowly fill in. Right after, Zoey’s attack had hit it with an equal force, the magical energy burning it with a bitter icy blast. It was stuck right in the face, actually flash-frozen for a moment as burning dark frost was massed along the front of its face. But with a roar of anger that shook the room, the frost fell off, its glasses carrying a few cracks, as Eugene retaliated, and shot a heavy gust of wind at them.

“GaRu!”

And with that, it was Katsumi who was unlucky enough to be blasted with a vicious array of wind. A pale green wave came at her, and like a thousand tiny blades, it tore into her, feeling like wind with heavy bits of sand being blown at her and cutting into her with pure force. Like Sypher, Kazune, and Kiyo though, the attack didn’t hurt as much as it might have on another person. A normal person would have been blown back and knocked over, lost their breath, and their skin would have been torn into with enough cuts to cover them red. Katsumi though only got a few minor cuts, a heavy, stinging pain, and an uplifting wind that knocked her back some, but probably not even over. These attacks were meant to be powerful and deadly! But something was protecting them, something deep within was giving them the power to fight!

The Sun's shining at: Shirio Tsuki Cafe... sort of?

It was coming this way, that Eugene-monster was getting closer! And then it spoke! Batsu felt his blood freeze in terror, his whole body paralyzed in fear. His head and chest ached painfully, he could hardly breathe. He was going to die, this monster was going to kill everyone and they were all going to die! Batsu hardly even noticed that the other color-filled classmates had started attacking the Eugene-thing, the boy could barely think a straight thought by now. He was on the verge of fainting, but suddenly...

...A voice echoed in Batsu's mind. It was clear as day and it was as if something was lifted from the boy's body. He stumbled back, his legs finally budging as he fell onto his butt. Slowly lowering his hands from his head, Batsu looked around again, released from his paralyzing fear. Well, he was still terrified, but his body was responding and it felt like he could breathe again. Somehow, he felt like he could think again. A soft green light appeared before Batsu, pulling his attention straight to it. The light seemed to form into something, something rather big as a longbow and arrow suddenly appeared in Batsu's hands. The mute boy's eyes widened in disbelief, where did these come from?

Sheepishly clutching onto the mystery weapon, Batsu slowly got to his feet. For some reason, he felt like he knew how to use this longbow even though he'd never even touched one before. Batsu fumbled back several more steps then readied the bow like a professional. He was surprised with himself as he held the arrow perfectly and aimed it at the Eugene-beast. And before he knew it, Batsu released the shot at the monster. Wait a second, he just shot an arrow at the bad guy... Now it would know he was there! A chill ran up Batsu's spine and he took even more steps back away from the monster-Eugene.

"If it's in my way
I'll d e s t r o y it"

Persona Despite fear striking everybody who could move here. Akira was surprised to say the least to see some people dare to attack this..thing. Well, Akira to say the least felt a little more comforted by that knowing that people had the balls to attack it. He had to move his feet, he had to attack this thing. He wasn't about to be shown up by his classmates. Alas, when he mustered up the courage to take a step forward, the monster had taken a turn to attack. Everybody within close proximity to the monster got struck by electricity. They seemed okay, which was surprising, but still, this thing attacked them. Akira wouldn't stand for that. No, he'd destroy this thing, even if it was Eugine, somewhere. Because this thing could shoot lightening!! Why couldn't Akira do that!? Beating people up would be so much easier! Petty as his reason may be, this monster was in his way. He'd destroy it!.
PersonaSuddenly, Akira noticed that the dog tags around his neck begun to glow an orange/golden color. A spear appeared in his hands. A weapon long and sharp, perfect! It was still a close range weapon but able to pierce. A smirk appeared on his face, Akira clenched the spear tightly as he looked around. Everybody else had acquired a weapon, and it seemed as if those who had long range weapons were taking advantage of that by attacking the monster from the front. This thing was still vicious, attacking at every opportunity. But as the assault of weaponry ensued, Akira ran around to the back of the monster. Spear in hand, he stomped a foot onto the back of the pyramid and lunged the spear upwards, the weapon being long enough to stab the monster in the back of it's torso. "How do ya like this!?"

Of course it shot lightning. Of freakin' course. 'On another note, why aren't I dead yet?' Kazune forced her eyes open, having clenched them shut during the attack. Directly in front of them was the ceiling, but over in her peripheral vision, she could see glowing.

Various objects, one for each person still moving, had started glowing. She looked to the other side, and noticed her wallet--which should have been at her table, in her purse instead of a foot away from where she was splayed out on the floor--was among them.

Just then, she heard the monster start moving, so she sat up, grabbed the wallet, and scuttled backwards a bit. People attacked the thing with...actual weapons? Where had those come from? She realized suddenly that there was a voice in her head overriding the sounds of battle. "Huh..." She somehow knew even before she looked down to confirm it that she was now armed as well; the arm gripping the wallet had a shield attached to it, and there was a saber conveniently located under the other hand's palm. The others' weapons certainly seemed to be doing more to it than the kicking and the chairs had.

Kazune unsteadily rose to her feet, ignoring the residual pain from the lightning. She'd thank god for the means to protect her loved ones later. Right now though, she was charging back in, uppercutting through one of chains attached to its wrist, and then the wrist itself like butter. She remained close afterward, holding the shield in front of her to find out if it was as useful as the sword.

Maybe the wasn't a chance that they could actually stop this thing with what they had on hand considering Sypher's blow with the chair was strong enough to splinter the, but not even garner a flinch out of the monster. Another strike of a chair came from a male who like the others wasn't gonna be content and watching their afflicted friends be turned to dust. Katsumi attacked with a more strategic, if not unorthodox method taking the cake and the speed that her roller blades allowed her to gain she took a leap of faith landing a direct cake smear over the creatures eyes.

"Run for it before while the cake's blinded it!" The black haired girl called out after sticking the land.

Sypher knew that she had the right idea. They didn't stand a chance right now, and Sypher wasn't foolish enough to believe they ever did. His reason's for doing this were all in spite of him self. As long as this thing was attacking them it meant he wouldn't be attacking those who couldn't defend themselves and that was enough to keep him on the offensive no matter how dumb it was. The monster then showed them exactly how dumb of an idea it was as lightning rained forth from his hand striking Sypher, Kiyo, and Kazune. Luckily enough Katsumi was able to avoid the lightning bolt that was meant for her while Seotta was just out of range of it. Once the attack was finished Sypher found himself a little worse for wear as his skin felt singed all over and legs trembling. He didn't know whether the shock was just weaker then it looked or had locked his muscles in place making him unable to fall, but Sypher was still on his feet. In all honesty Sypher couldn't even tell that he was in pain since his body had gone numb, but maybe that was for the best since the fight wasn't over and he could afford to worry about injuries at the moment.

Unable to tell whether it was the shock of the lightning or the fact that all the pain was fading with the numbness, but even the strange headache that had been plaguing him since this all started faded just as quickly being replaced by a voice. It was clear and almost overwhelming in a sense, as it spoke to the minds of those who could move. In the same instance Syphers eyes flashed for a second then refocused on a peculiar light that swirled in a clouded mix of black and crimson. It was almost comical as Sypher chuckled slightly that during this entire off the wall experience, this floating light was what felt most familiar to him. 'Guess I've got nothing to lose by betting it all on this. I'm going for it' he thought as his facial expression settled on a smirk before reaching out with his left hand to grasp the light. Just before the two connected though Sypher caught a glimpse of his Misanga glowing on his wrist but it was to late to examine it as it seem the light wanted to meet his as well, it drawing him in some how. Molding to his will almost the light took the form of a magnificent scythe like one would see a grim reaper hold except the cutting edge of the weapon was tainted a brilliant crimson as though it had already be claiming lives before it arrived at his hand.

    User Image

Sypher wasn't left with any actual time to wonder about why this weapon felt so familiar to him, as a literal rocket flew over his head and into the behemoth creature. The blast was actually pretty compact considering, but had obviously done considerably more damage than what ever they were doing before. This was then off set by fact that before you could say Who needs to reload? Katsumi with a confident stance fire a second rocket at the creatures torso. This shot was followed in quick succession by a blue laser like blase that pattered the creature in wounds. Even and arrow from the usually resigned Batsu found it mark of the creatures torso.

Gripping the scythe even more confidently now Sypher knew his best chance of being effective with it was to use there shots as cover and get up close and personal with it. The creature, of course, wasn't going to just sit there and take it as it lashed out with another wickedly destructive gust of wind landing its mark on Katsumi, but only doing minor damage. 'Damn it! We have to find a way to topple this thing that way it won't have the advantage of just aiming down on us. Guess I'll go see just how deep this thing can cut.' Sypher thought as he started to rush the monsters base from the right opposite of Kazune who was attacking the monster with a sword and shield?! Swinging as hard as he could with running start, the pyramid like base that seemed as hard as stone was pierced by the point of the scythe, but Sypher wasn't done yet, as he let the cutting edge of the blade do what it did best. Dragging it along as it cut away a section of the monster's structure ended up at the back of the creature where he found Akira with an actual spear driving it into the back of the monster.

"A few more slice and we might be able to knock this thing off its pedestal literally. You think you can use that spear to hold him still a little longer?" Sypher asked as he readjusted the scythe in his hand to make another pass. His hope was to simply keep hacking at one side and eventually yell timber as it collapses.

Seotta stood there for a few moments, despite the surroundings. If she had been hoping for a response, it wasn’t going to come. That was probably a good thing, because now wasn’t the time to debate moral philosophies with people; though, she wouldn’t have gotten very far into that debate before it devolved anyway. So, back to the matter of the monstrosity they were all trying to deal with.

Seotta had felt like she had simply kicked a wall and then jumped off, which should have been apparent given what the thing they were attacking looked like. All their attacks didn’t even seem to much damage bizarro-Eugene, but it did garner the monster’s attention. However, that might not have been for the better. The monster brushed the sugary confection in seconds. Growling angrily, it raised it’s golden-hued arm up and then waved that arm across toward three of its four aggressors.

                                Mazio!” shouted their enemy.

Within a single blink of the eye, that electrically charged hand of its sent thousands of volts of electricity coursing through Sypher, Kazune, and Kiyo. They didn’t have a chance to even react before being struck. Seotta had managed to avoid anything but stray sparks by landing out of the attack’s arc, and Katsumi was simply out of the way almost entirely. But hit or not, her knees shivered just a bit at what she saw. The three who had taken the attack were as good as dead, right?

                                Thou art I...

Who’s what? she found herself asking. The slight pain in the back of her head wasn’t even given any attention. Seotta wanted to know who was talking to them. She looked around, but she was pretty sure the voice had been in her head. It sounded like it came from in her own head. So, who was using their magickal telepathy to talk to her?

                                ...And I am thou.

                                What are you ta...?

There was that voice again. But the brunette wasn’t going to finish her line of interrogation, because something else was attracting her attention. Something was glowing in the breast pocket of her overcoat. She fished it out, and then the freaking thing stood there levitating in front of her! Shiver me timbers!! she found herself thinking. But that wasn’t the only strange thing that was occurring. Like everyone else, a weapon would be materialising before her. In her case, a very pirate-like blade would fall into her hands, which were outstretched and awaiting it like she was expecting the thing.

The sound of explosions suddenly jogged her awestruck expression away from the scimitar and over to bizzaro-Eugene, then to its aggressor. Katsumi, formerly in the camp of turning tail and running, apparently decided that with her newfound equipment fighting wouldn’t be too bad. Seotta looked around the room to see the rest of the technicolor crew were also standing around with weapons in hand, all apparently from nowhere.

While Zoey joined in the newly empowered assault on their demonic enemy, Seotta simply found her eyes wandering back to the weapon. Seriously? she questioned. This is freaking... cool... The gravity of a situation was not something the Okinawan was much attuned to. No, not one bit. She was a bit enamored with the blade at the moment, because it complemented her pirate act perfectly! Maybe this whole monochrome place wasn’t so bad after all.

Bizarro-Eugene’s sudden gale-force wind jogged Seotta back to what was happening again. The attack hadn’t hit her, but it sure did a number on Katsumi. The whole situation was finally sinking in for the young pirate captain. She had a weapon; they all had a weapon. And they were even magickal ones! That meant they were heroes, destined to defeat the dread Nega-Gene! Yes! This was exactly what was going on! The others had already figured it all out, even the cowards and Sypher had joined the ‘resistance’. They even seemed to have a pretty good plan of unbalancing the thing’s huge base.

Ho ho!” she pronounced, leveling the sword at Eugene. “Looks to be like yer not the only one wit’ tricks up yer sleeve, Evil Eugene! E’ryone attack the creepy monster thing!

Like anyone here needed marching orders, least of all from Seotta. But, she was a captain; that meant she gave orders! Still, it was time for her to get into it. And boy was she going to get into it. The girl sprinted full speed over to their large enemy. She was running up right behind Sypher, who at this point had relayed the basic ‘gravity sucks for you’ plan to Akira. However, Seotta had a different plan to get their behemoth enemy knocked over.

Sai-kun, shitsurei! I’m borrowing your scythe!” was all the warning the taller male would get.

Sypher was busy spinning around it for another large gash in the creature’s base. Seotta’s plan was to actually land a blow into the thing’s face and push it over. And the bright, confident grin she had on her face as she rushed her way over might make you believe she was sure to succeed. A second later, she jumped onto Sypher’s scythe. It was at this point slightly embedded into bizarro-Eugene’s pyramidal base so using it as a platform to jump even higher was perfectly fine as long as Sypher held it steady for that brief moment. He of course did, even pulling it up a little and trying to give Seotta a bit more airtime.

Huzzah!” came a bland, yet enthused warcry.

The girl was launched up a few more feet into the air and slashed her sword down vertically into Eugene’s face and chest with enough force to push a normal person back. Of course, at this point Eugene wasn’t quite a normal person. But the spectacular attack was flashy! He might even take a bit of damage from it. Falling over may have been a longshot, but given all the other people blasting away at the poor monstrosity, maybe it would topple.

The chair broke against the obelisk-esque base of the...Eugene thing. I guess I'm gonna need a diffe- ZAP.

He stood strong against the sudden bolt of lightning. Wait...that doesn't make sense. Is this the right script?

Thou art I...

"Hello?" If he wasn't mistaken, he could have sworn he just heard a voice in his head. Looking around, no one seemed to be saying anything to him. Also looking around, everyone had random items of theirs glowing in their pockets, around their necks or wrists-

And I am thou...

Definitely in my head. He looked on his own person, hoping there was some god-given glowing item that would save the day or something, and sure enough, a soft, sky blue glow came from his vest pocket. He reached to pull it out. Will it teleport me, or shoot a beam at it or- Mamoru's pipe. Kiyo had left it at home, he thought, but it was glowing here and now, so he hoped that meant it would save him. It's not like this could get any weirder. Worse maybe, but not weirder.

Smoke suddenly billowed out of the pipe. A mystic, heavy blue smoke. It drifted down to Kiyo's hands, and almost by instinct, he opened them and the smoke settled into a new, solid form in them: A large two-handed sword. His eyes went wide with bewilderment. How the ******** am I supposed to use this giant thing? The sound of an explosion cut that train of thought short. The Eugene thing had taken a direct hit! But...from what?

BOOM. Again, a rocket struck the beast. This time, Kiyo caught where the rocket had hit, and traced it back to...KATSUMI?! How the hell did she have a ro-...ooooh, I think I get it now... Another quick glance about the area revealed that everyone that remained unpetrified had gained a weapon of their own. Everyone had set about attacking with their newfound weapons, attempting to make it fall, and Seotta even going so far as jumping onto Sypher's scythe to land a better hit.

He smiled again. This was new. He liked new. ********' scary as it was at first, he had a greatsword or something. All other threads of logic were lost for now; he focused on his upcoming attack. If Katsumi can rock a rocket launcher, this sword will be nothing. That said, he was only left with the decision of how to attack it.

Stony base, angled, but I'm wearing dress shoes, so running up's not gonna work. Maybe I can get one foot on, at least. "Alright, let's do this!" He ran up to the monster, sword held low in both hands, and planted a foot on the slanted base, kicking up to gain height and swung across the torso, trying to catch it's mouth.

User ImageAs everyone seemed to perform an all out attack on the creature, the shadowed, vile being that was once Eugene had become blindsided by the storm of attacks that came towards it. These were simply people, they were pitiful creatures -some even frozen in time- that he was to easily decimate. And yet they fought, they were not just a challenge, they were actually hurting him! After the barrage of rockets and the magical rays of darkness and frost, the pyramid like monster suddenly felt a strong, piercing sensation right in its chest, just above its mouth. It dug deep, black ooze dripping from its wound, before Batsu would see his arrow become absorbed into the beast, as if its black body consumed all mass that touched it. Still, it was bleeding, and now, as Batsu would see his bow suddenly manifest a new arrow into thin air, the large, towering creature turned towards him with a nasty glare, ready to move towards him and decimate the young mute, showing no prejudice over who it destroyed.

“GaRu!”

The creature then yelled again, waving its green, vortex surrounded hand, before suddenly, a tunnel of pale green wind shot towards Batsu ad a vicious speed. He would then experience the same pain as Katsumi, as the vile winds tore into his cloths and skin, likely knocked him back, and stole away his breath. It was a terrifying blast, looking like the power of a tornado. But like the others, something had protected him. It still hurt and cut him up, but the attack looked far fiercer than what had actually happened to him.

The assault against the creature didn’t stop though. It was like a bunch of insects coming at him, small bites one after another pricking and hurting, as they were trying to overtake him. A feral growl escaped the mouth on his chest as he felt a sudden pain stinging in his back. It felt much like the arrow, piercing hard into him, right where its spine would be, as Akira would see a black ichor that was like a thicker substance than blood ooze from its back. The skin seemed to start moving though, trying to cover the spear, and consume the spear within its body. But one good pull was all Akira needed to yank it out before his weapon was taken away and he’d be fine. The creature started to rotate at its base, capable of spinning its upper half around the towered base, but as he was turning to face Akira, more of these tiny pink, fleshy insects were swarming him.

“I’vE aLrEaDy DeCiDeD… i’M sTaYiNg HeRe In ThIs LaNd! It Is MiNe To PlAy WiTh… MiNe To DeStRoY, aNd CrEaTe AnEw!”

The creature said with vile anger, Eugene’s voice shadowed with malice and hatred. Part of it sounded like him in what it said; he wanted to stay here, he didn’t want to leave and go back home. But something else was twisted within it, saying he didn’t want to just stay here, but this land was his and his alone to toy with, destroy, and create. Though, just after those words, The creature would yell in a terrible, growling pain, more than just an annoyed grunt or yell, but this time it screeched a terrible, ear-piercing, inhuman noise that scratched the air itself and raped your eardrums. As Kazune tore into the chains with her sword and shield, she’d find the chains were easy to hack through, and set the creature’s arm free, but not without it roaring in such terrible pain. It was as if the chain was actually a part of its living being, and cutting it like that made it attack blindly in agony. With a terrifying spin, its yellow, lightning embracing hand that was now free would swipe outwards in a wild swipe. And then, both Kazuna and Akira would receive its clawed fingers right across their bodies. Deeply cutting through cloth and flesh, the massive claws felt like four swords suddenly slashing along the front of them, easily a fatal attack. But despite the bloody wounds they received, once more there was something protecting them, the damage surely hurting in such a shocking pain, their wounds still being hospital worthy. However, they weren’t fatal, and though it may have knocked them down and the claws did dig pretty deep, doing more damage to them than the lightning and wind, it still didn’t kill them, and they were probably even still standing.

It started to attack wildly in its pain now, thrashing its one, unchained arm wildly, causing flecks of lightning to spur about too, one hitting Kiyo again, stacking on top of the lightning attack he already received, now probably really putting the hurt on him. Before he was hit though, the blond teen was still able to get in a good attack, confidence in hand as he ran up with the massive sword that felt lighter than it looked, and he swung the massive slab of steep, swiping a deep cut right along the jaw that was built into the creature’s chest. A few teeth knocked out that bled black ichor, and it’s jaw even severed more, making the mouth wider, and sagging a little on one side, the twisted, angered look contorted to one of pain with another howl, before it then hit him with its wild lightning attack.

With the assault not stopping though, Sypher had the interesting idea of trying to cut it down. Though the pyramid base was as hard as stone to normal methods of attack, he would find his scythe dug in, cut deep, and he would drag it along one side, creating a large, gaping wound. Unlike it’s upper torso though that bled a black ooze, the base instead bled a green and yellow mixture, much like how sections of the pyramid itself showed these colors swirling within, as if it was the source of its magic, or another being entirely. And finally through the assault, there was Seotta, who managed to leap up using Syphers own scythe for leverage, the two working together to get her higher, actually standing at the base on what little room she had, before trying to slash away at it, Her attacks would be rewards with it crying out in agony as everyone was swarming around it, and she drew several deep cuts along it’s front side. The force was enough to knock anyone back, but she’d see as it was being hit hard, the base of its torso was locked in tight at the pyramid, a metal bearing connecting it to the pyramid, surrounding it in a circular, metal seal. With that, it managed to stay, that and the one chain still of course. Still, her attacks wielded success, even as the creature was slowly regenerating some of its wounds except for the chain, they were hurting it faster than it could recover.

Though, like the others who attacked it, Sypher and Seotta were not going to fight without an expected retaliation. Sypher would suddenly feel a deadly spike dig into his thigh and arm, stabbing deep. The spikes that lined the edges of its pyramid base had suddenly shot forth like spiked pistons, and two of them got him good. They shot with enough force to pierce to the bone, and he’d feel it dig deep into flesh and even muscle, but they went no farther than that. The pain was surreal and sudden, as he’d see the spikes retract back into the base of the creature now covered in his own blood, but it wasn’t deeper than it could have been. As for Seotta, she too would find herself in trouble, as the creature was reeled back from her blows, it suddenly lunged forward at her, before its own mouth that had been formed into its chest gaped wide open with fanged and a few broken teeth, before suddenly, she’d find it clamp down on her hand, latching around her arm that wasn’t wielding the blade from the wrist down. Fangs dug deep, digging into muscle, flesh, tendons and all. But where as an attack like this with such vestigial teeth and powerful jaws would likely rip someones hand off, Seotta was luck enough not to have to worry about a hook-hand later in her life, as she’d bleed in agonizing pain, but keep her hand, able to pull away if she tried.

The group was able to fight and harm this creature, but it seemed none of them would be able to without getting injured themselves, as the creature’s attacks grew more wild and rampant by the second. But just then, something else happened that gave them another edge. Inside their heads, that voice called out to them once more. But now, the voices grew more distinguished, as of someone in particular was speaking only to them. Their Personas had awakened, and as they did, each person would see a brief glimmer of their own life flash by in just a second, before out of their own consciousness erupted a diety of great power.

Akira would here his echo with that of a voice that belonged to a powerful man, one who confidently stood above any who challenged him, and took no prisoners. It was one that refused to give up, and desired nothing more but this challenge, and to demolish the foe in his path. Akira would see his Dogtogs glowing brighter, as the voice spoke to him, and his Persona started to awaken. Others would witness it too, both among Akira, and the rest of the group, as above him, a man with a spear and shield and brilliant golden armor that shined brighter than any sun stood tall, floating behind Akira, beckoning to heed his call of attack as the great Greek God Ares himself was there to aid him in battle.

Batsu would hear the voice as well. His own a bit more aloof, but his voice ringing with triumph, like the battle had already been won. A massive, mighty man that looked like something of legend stood above Batsu, a large horn in hand ready to be used as the large, bearded man held it close to his face. Unlike anyone elses Persona though, as Batsu would see the photo he held glow brighter, Batsu’s Persona could actually see more and speak. By seeing more, Batsu would notice it was trying to point something out to him. It spoke to Batsu about a weak point, that the chains along this shadowed creature were brittle, and with those severed, and the metal base that connected the creature to the pyramid also being destroyed, victory would be achieved. His Persona could speak this too, where as other Persona only spoke to you, and you only within your mind, Batsu’s spoke with a voice everyone could hear, the boy who was once mute now having something that could speak for him in the critical time of battle.

In Katsumi’s head, she’d hear her voice calling out as that of a woman. One who spoke swiftly, but with a strong voice. Above her stood a golden winged, cybernetic sort of woman with numerous blades, standing ready to strike. The little flashdrive she had now started to glow stronger as her Persona appeared, as if it was some sort of control for this thing that stood above her. Like everyone else though, even though she was laying eyes on this large, winged woman for the first time, something about her almost instantly felt familiar, as if she was someone Katsumi knew her entire life. It was a part of her deep down, and with her own will, the Goddess before her would fight by her side and strike to achieve victory.

As the voices called out to everyone, Kazune would hear the sounds of a soft voice, one that showed no fear, but was in no rush to fight. Composed, peaceful, even a little amused with the situation before her, as the personality of Kazune’s persona far contradicted her own. Before her, as she found her own wallet glowing brighter like it was a connection between her and this voice, she would suddenly see appearing above her in a blue mist like everyone else, a deity had stood. A strong, fair skinned, eight armed woman had appeared. Each arm brandished a weapon, and Kazune would realize the sword and shield she had was very similar, if not identical to the one that this goddess had wielded, as its presence alone seemed to give her the strength and resolve to keep fighting, yet a sort of peace of mind, the goddess sharing her own serenity with her.

Like everyone else, a summoning artifact as they would soon learn it was called had begun to glow brighter for Kiyo. The pipe his older brother had given him glowed an even brighter hue, pulsing in light, before suddenly, a voice ripped from his mind became the embodiment of a powerful man. An elderly but familiar wizard had appeared, as if he had known this old man his whole life. With staff in hand, the great, robed man called out towards Kiyo, raising the moral to continue fighting as his words echoed only in Kiyo’s mind. His powerful magic was now Kiyo’s to control, as almost instantly, Kiyo would realize just what sort of power the old man had, like they shared a bond greater than any other. With Merlin’s power at the touch of his fingertips, he could feel the power to defeat any foe, or even save any ally from the clutches of death.

As she fought hard, and once she escaped the clutches of the creature, Seotta would also hear the voice within her head, giving her the power to fight on despite the pain. The encouragement of a deity herself echoed in Seotta’s mind, as the damaged, silver coin she had that was already glowing began to radiate and even brighter hue. As it did, the moment she touched it, the goddess would appear. A woman of water, controlling the tides along this world as the power of Selene was now at her own fingertips. Her words were firm and resolute, but caring and kind, almost like a mother looking after her child, wanting to ensure victory and safety for Seotta, ready to fight, but never seeing defeat as an option. It was as if there was certainty they would win, and even though they were in a world of great mystery and terror, the weapons they held were gifted from these deities, and now, they were bestowing their power too.

Sypher would see it too. He would feel something coming from within his consciousness, as well as something coming from the scythe, and even the Misanga bracelet he wore. In a trinity of power being drawn, something started to manifest itself in the maelstrom of his mind as the voice echoed on. As the bracelet glowed its brightest, something spawned from its existence. Floating above him was a large, crimson chair with a young, well dressed man, but behind him sat a skeleton embracing him, black wings sprouting. In confidence he spoke, his voice drawing Sypher into attack, claiming to have no weakness, and together they would fight and defeat this foe, viewing it as little more than a trial rather than a challenge. Their power connected, Sypher -like everyone else- had gotten into contact with his Persona; his inner self manifested to give him great power and protection.

User ImageThis power was amazing! Zoey was stunned for a moment when she saw the way her staff managed to shoot those dark, icy beams of energy, harming the creature with such power. She was stunned for a moment, actually stopping to look at her staff, blinking in surprise, before she looked ahead again and saw everyone else was becoming gifted with a weapon. Zoey looked at Batsu first, still concerned for him, only to see he held a bow now. And he seemed to know how to use it like a bro! She smiled with an impressed gaze at him for a moment as she watched him hit his mark, but that smile soon turned to worry as he was nailed hard by a wind spell. She was about to run over towards Batsu to see if he was okay, then join the group from afar with her powerful, magic staff, but something stopped her, as a pain briefly came to her head.

It was… a woman? She sounded like there was a mixture of pain, but confidence in her. Like a dying woman still gloating about the power she beheld. And when Zoey heard it, something in her felt so perfectly right. Her pocket glowed again as Zoey noticed the small radio in her skirt pocket was glowing an even brighter blue. Everyone had something similar happen with them, a sort of personal item, and they were all hearing their own voices of a diety, and maybe even felt their personality alter a little from it. But for Zoey, the reaction to her Persona became a little darker than the others. The Persona they held was something of a guiding light, something to direct them and aid them in battle. But Zoey’s? Her own was shrouded in darkness, and sought out only destruction, the girl feeling that same sensation too. Zoey wanted this power, she wanted to decimate these things before her, and now was her time! Something in her was changing, the fear subsiding into a desire for chaos!

“Per… so…na…” Despite the craving for deatruction, there was a moment of pure clarity in her. She spoke those words in a low whisper, like she had just come across an epiphany or a strike of genius, and found the answer. And that was when everything went black in her mind. She stood there still, her body upright now, almost like she was perfectly content and at peace with herself. But she stood there, motionless for those few seconds, as she felt like a lifetime went by. She saw so many parts of her life in an instant as her Persona was summoned. Zoey as toddler driving a little toy battery powered truck, happy as can be. Her parents arguing for the hundredth time, as Zoey was a young girl crying in her bedroom, trying to cover her ears with a pillow to stop the words from being heard. Zoey sitting on her father’s lap at just the age of ten as he guided her on how to drive, letting her go around the large backwoods for now so she could drive. The time she was a young teenager, and her mother actually stabbed her, the pain unbearable as her mother wished death upon Zoey’s very existence. Arriving to the radio studio for the first time, and starting her first show that became an instant hit. It was beautiful, and serene. But it wasn’t the only thing she saw as a moment later, her memories were replaced with a vision. There stood a warrior like woman, standing before fierce gales, hurricanes, darkness, fire, and ice, controlling the elements as she decimated thousands in her terrifying destruction. She laughed at their demise as it happened, but after it was over, she said a prayer for them, speaking of how this was all for a great change. At one point, she screamed at a man who looked like death himself, the woman wearing a full black dress, like she was mourning. And another time as she sang and danced in the moonlight among the cemetery, producing little lights of flame with her fingertips, illuminating candles placed before all of the graves. It was an eerie scene, as it all faded to black, …And that was when it appeared.

User Image

There before her stood a massive skull, black as the pits of hell, covered in blue glowing eyes and countless screaming faces, all pitched in the appearance of pure agony, their screams silent, but the pain on their faces clear as ever. As the massive skull itself though grinned it’s fanged teeth in pure delight, there attached and fused to the front of its face was the disembodied fixture of a woman from the waist up, separated almost exactly at the same point Zoey received her USB drive, right at the waist as well. She seemed to be in pain too though, her blue eyes wide, her mouth open in pain, and her undenying beauty completely marred by the black, winged skull who flapped its blue webbed wings to sustain flight. And that was when it spoke, the chilling, pained voice of the woman still carrying confidence, despite her terrible fate with the skull of death.

The site was eerie to most, but for Zoey, she felt surprisingly calm about it, almost like she had already met this person from the day she was born, to the very moment she was now in such a peril. In fact, despite how much more frightening her own creature had been over everyone elses Persona except for maybe Sypher’s, she felt comfortable only to this being, while the others might as well have been the ones who were scared of hers.

Oya… something about her comforted Zoey. To anyone else, it was a nightmarish horror of agony and death. But for Zoey, this deformed creature that stood before her was like her lifeline, someone who she trusted like a lifelong friend. And that was when Zoey smiled. It was the same kind of devilish grin a madman gave when he had a deadly weapon, or when a genius had created something that would change the world. And for Zoey, she had only one thing to tell the creature, as if she was in control, even if she was still shaking.

“Oya… Kill them all. Drown them in eternal darkness. MUDO!” Even Zoey’s voice wasn’t quiet like her own. The high strung, angry, bitter teenage girl sounded awfully calm, almost dark and twisted in her tone as her smile didn’t fade. And as she did, the skulled creature turned away from her, the young woman attached to the top of the skull like persona nodding in understanding to Zoey, before her lips started to move, like she was waving a spell. And suddenly, a moment later, a wave of dark energies appeared. Cutting through the air like black wings, the darkness flew in every direction around the creature that was once Eugene, before the wings formed around it in a black, deathly tomb, countless agonizing faces with cold glowing eyes seen in the dark abyss, much like Oya’s own appearance had. And then, in a burst of black Hell, the damage was done, as the creature that was Oya unleashed her deathly fury on the creature before her, dark energy exploding in front of the Shadow-Eugene, erupting in a violent torrent that caused his unchained hand to go limp after it was struck, Zoey’s Persona performing some heavy damage.

"If it's in my way
I'll d e s t r o y it"

Persona To see that he actually did damage to this monster was relieving, he was twisting his spear to try and inflict more pain. The likes of which was obvious from the monster's hebavior. But there was a sense of malice in the air, the monster was getting more angry. And when Drak had pulled his spear free of the oozing goo. He looked to see that everybody was making an effort to attack it from up close. Were they trying to hack it down, surly that wouldn't do any good. That brief moment of distraction was set back when Akira was being swarmed by something. The monster was turning around, what was Eugine was speaking something. "The f*ck!" He cursed, swatting at the bugs around him. In an instant after, pain struck Akira. He had just a moment to try and shield himself, getting seriously cut along both his arms.
Persona"Agh!!" He reeled in pain, being pushed back off of the monster a few feet. Damnit! This thing was getting more agressive agains't everybody!. Akira's arms were sure going to hurt in the morning. They were freaking bleeding!! Owww. Regular fist fights never did this much damage to Akira. How was he going to explain this to his siblings? 'I got attacked by a samurai'. Like they'd believe that. Clutching one of his arms with a bloody hand, Akira winced in pain. This was just too hard, how could they defeat this?
PersonaThou Art I... And I Am Thou
PersonaA mans voice echoed in his head, his dog tags shone brighter, the likes of which made akira clutch them with his bloody hand. "Per.....sona" And he wasn't the only one, everybody was acquiring a powerful persona. F*ck his injuries, Akira could do this!!. Rising to his feet, standing as tall and cofidently as Ares, with his spear Akira pointed to a place on the monster, the same spot of infliction wihere his spear had harmed the monster. "Pierce him Ares! Single shot!" With a lunge forward with his great spear, Ares stabbed the monster precisely in the same spot Akira had, except for this spear, it did far more damage, actually sticking out of the other end of the monster. Twisting the spear, Ares pulled it out before standing back. If the monster was to retaliate, he wanted to be ready to protect Akira or others with Akira's command.

The combat, though kicked up a notch with the mysterious weapons everyone had acquired, wasn’t going much better. They were dealing this Eugene damage now, but it didn’t seem to be as much as any of them might have been hoping for; the evil thing was still standing after all the attacks. Kazune’s slicing the chains attached to its arms only caused the creature’s attacks to become more wild and random. It might have been better if it had stayed chained. But there was no sense thinking about that. Seotta was at the moment quite a few feet in the air, and as she came back down she dealt as mighty a slash as she could manage to the things chest. Naturally, she was planning to land a few feet away and either go back for another swing or dodge. It seemed the choice wasn’t hers, as she managed to land instead on the top of the pyramidal base despite the slim area to plant her feet at.

Bizarro-Eugene naturally took advantage of this unintended course of action, and the fanged mouth on its chest lashed out toward Seotta with bloodlust. It hurt. Boy, did it hurt!

Itaaa!!” she shouted, writhing and then bashing in Eugene’s face with the scimitar’s pommel.

So much for the plan to get away unscathed and attempt to avoid damage. Foolhardy or not, Seotta at least understood the principle of not getting hurt on purpose. Accidents happened, but she wasn’t going to just dive off a cliff into spikes for no reason. After a short about of struggling, she managed to get the thing’s vise-like grip to loosen enough to pull her hand away. She immediately got off the thing and back onto safe ground, where she had intended to end up the entire time. Iaa... not doing that again! she told herself, nursing her now profusely bleeding hand as she backed away.

Thou art I... and I am thou...

That voice from before came again, this time louder. When she touched the coin, that had again started to radiate that strange aura, a gorgeous woman with a large bosom and curves to kill for appeared before her. The only strange thing about her was she was water. As in literally made of water. Wide-eyed by all of this, Seotta only barely caught what the water goddess was saying, too busy trying to comprehend for a brief moment where she came from and who she was. But then, despite how dense she was, suddenly Seotta seemed to just ‘know’ what was going on.

A series of flashbacks appeared. Each of them involved the young woman in full pirate regalia: as a child leading the other children around as a pretend armada; as a middleschooler dealing with a bit of bullying caused by her rampant imagination; and finally, even more recent ones like her chanting for the Tsukiyomi Swim Team at an inter-high meet. But along with those images, she also saw some of her newfound ally, and it became readily apparent to the brunette who this aquatic woman was, and what she could do. A lunar diety, a personification of the moon itself, Selene was about to help them get out of here!

It was the only thing that she could imagine even if her Persona didn’t make that relatively obvious. Persona? she questioned. How did she know what to call the thing? Ever the nonthinker, Seotta’s eyes were immediately attracted to the maniacally shouting Zoey, and when she did she noticed her and the others each had a unique Persona. Seotta couldn’t help but become re-energized at the thought of them having special weapons and magickal avatars; it was like something straight out of a manga!

And if Zoey could launch some kind of magickal awesome attack, why couldn’t she? After all, her persona was made of water! It had to be able to like, drown the enemy right? Seotta found herself ignoring the still bleeding wound on her wrist as she stood up and pointed her blade roughly at Eugene, who was already busy absorbing an attack and about to take another from Akira.

Ho ho ho!” she again laughed in that deep ‘pirate’ voice of hers. “It appears thy tide hath turned, evil spirit! ...Aqua!

The word came to her without much thought. Seotta anticipated a great wave crashing down and drowning their foe away; that was what she wanted to happen. Instead, she would have to settle for a less than spectacular attack. It followed right after Zoey’s own magickal blast and right after Ares finished its piercing move. Where Eugene stood, despite the fact there was no source of water in their monochrome café, suddenly erupted with a small geyser of water surging out from under him, likely upending the evil Eugene in the process.

Wahaa~!” came an excited laugh as she hopped in joy at her handiwork. “Y’see that awesomeness, Sai-kun?

- [_In the words of Batsu: "..."_] -
The Sun's shining at: Shirio Tsuki Cafe...sort of?

After Batsu's arrow had surprisingly made a direct hit, another arrow materialized into the boy's hand out of thin air. But he didn't pay much mind to it as he was focused on the Eugene-monster turning towards him. He felt his heart skip a beat as a tornado come hurdling towards him, he couldn't get away in time. The winds pummeled into him and threw him back, the boy rolling into a wall. Batsu cringed in pain and dropped his weapon as the winds cut and beat him up. Batus began to panic once more, but before he could lose himself again, the voice from before returned and echoed in his mind. However, this time it was far more clear.

Somehow, the mute boy knew what it was now, as if by instinct. Persona... Batsu looked up, seeing the visage of a mighty bearded man wielding a large horn appear before him. Batsu had never seen him before, but somehow he already knew who he was. Heimdall. The man spoke into the boy's mind, telling him about the weakness of that vile Eugene-beast. Slowly getting back to his feet, Batsu looked at the monster and felt like he could see so much more than he had before. Those chains attached to it were weak and frail, they needed to be broken. The metal base above the pyramid also needed to go, the Eugene-creature wouldn't be able to move anymore if the pedestal was broken as well! But how could Batsu tell everyone else that...? He couldn't tell them like how he was...

[The chains are weak... A-And the pedestal!] Batsu heard his voice plead in his mind, but it seemed louder than before. It was like everyone else could hear his voice as well. Either way, the weakness of the enemy were finally revealed! Now they could best the Eugene-monster and hopefully end this bad dream.
