"Matt? Would you get the post, please?" Matt's mother called from the kitchen.
"Sure," Matt called back, going outside to the postbox and opening the little door. The first thing that caught her eye was a small, thin, ornate envelope on the top of the stack with neat, cursive handwriting. She took out all the mail and brought it in, reading the envelope, and then smiling.

"Ma! I got a letter!" She giggled girlishly and set everything else down on the dining table. "That's great! Who's it from?" Ms. Juno replied semi-enthusiastically. Matt flipped the letter over.
"I dunno... there's no return adress..." Her voice became slightly uncertain, and then bright again. "Maybe it's a love letter from Cole..." She put much loving emphasis on the boy's name, then opened the lavish note.

    Matt Juno,
You have been cordially invited to a private costume rave, along with several other hand-picked guests. Please try to attend. The party will be held at the Castle On the Outskirts of Lake Pacis on October 31st at night. Come at dusk.

    Yours,
    The Sun God

P.S., No other guests than yourself may attend.

Matt sighed dreamily and giggled again, then frowned. "'The Sun God'? Cheap. However, this is a rave!" She spun around on her toes blissfully. "This is gonna be so badass!"

Apollo looked around the ballroom. Link was busy setting up the stereo system on the stage. Apollo helped set up the strobe and blacklights as someone else dusted the blackout curtains. After that, he escaped to the kitchen to help make the punch and fill the water jugs. Waterlimeberry ((watermelon-strawberry-lime)) punch was good, right? He gave it a little taste, then frowned. Someone put a hint of vodka in it... Oh, well. It tasted good, so who cares? He carried the giant bowl into the ballroom and set it up on the blacklight-sensitive tablecloth on the table at the back of the ballroom. There were also little snacks that he'd made, like finger sandwiches and little cakes in case the guests got hungry. After several trips, the water jugs and plastic cups were on the table. Then he looked around the ballroom. Other than the stereo system, which Link was still working on, everything was pretty much ready. Might as well go get his costume ready...

Embry was not one for organisation and at the this current moment in time, instead of preparing his costume for the costume rave party he and his ‘family’ were hosting, he was jumping on his bed, a pair of headphones clamped tightly over his ears.

“Bum-bum-bum-dee-dee-dum” he chanted somewhat manically as he sashayed his hips before leaping atop his comic ridden carpet. Or more appropriately, he jumped atop his comic book collection, seeing as one could not see a square inch of what one assumed was once the floor of the extremely spacious room. Not that this was unusual for the boy, he did after all love clutter and havoc often followed him where ever he went, leaving others to clean up after him.

Looking around with a broad grin plastered on his face the ebony haired vampire decided he was bored and sprinted from his room before bounding down the stairs of the castle towards the large ballroom which would host their party. Skidding into said room the male could hardly express his glee and he all but molested the stereo that was being set up in one part of the room. This young-man certainly had a weird way of expressing himself.

“Practically finished without me!” Embry bellowed across the room, speaking to know one in particular, music still blasting into his ears as he had yet to remove his portable music players’ headphones as he pouted childishly. Not that he ever had any intention of helping set up but pretending had good elements to it, and many often described the vampire in question as a bit of a drama King.

Chris was lounging on the hammock in the front yard on a fall day. He would have to move soon since the sun was making its slow creep towards him and he would get blinded by the sun. He saw the mail man put mail into the mail box and watched him go on his way. "Mom, mails here." He called out not wanting to get up.
"You have legs, so why don't you go get it." She called back.
"Bah..." He grumbled and got up making his way to the mail box. He opened the latch and took the mail out then closed the latch quickly. "Junk, junk, more junk... What's this?" He opened the door to his house and tossed the mail on the table before flopping down on the couch near the fan. He opened the letter and read the fancy invitation.
"Chris Hinderson,
You have been cordially invited to a private costume rave, along with several other hand-picked guests. Please try to attend. The party will be held at the Castle On the Outskirts of Lake Pacis on October 31st at night. Come at dusk.

Yours,
The Sun God

P.S., No other guests than yourself may attend. Huh... Sounds interesting enough." He leaned his head back yelling at his mom again. "I'm going to a rave on the 31st."
"That's nice sweety. Maybe you'll get out of the house for once."
"Haha mom. I'll probably be out most of the night."
"Dang. Why couldn't it be during the day as well?" She chuckled slightly.
"Bah." He would have to find a costume though the letter didn't say what kind. He would just find something he liked then.

October 29

---When Armony finally got herself to come out of bed, it was 11:43; too late for breakfast, but just in time to watch the mailman drop off the mail in her plain-jane mailbox. With a loud yawn, Armony walked outside - in her two-sizes-too-big night shirt and baggy Eyore jammy pants - to collect whatever had arrived; obviously her eBay purchase of the Rozen Maiden Limited Edition DVDs wasn't here yet, since the mailman did not come to her door with the package, but there was something in the mail.

---Armony approached the simple plastic mailbox that was her own and opened it to find the usual: a couple of pamphlets from the Winn Dixie nearby, the copy of Game Informer she kept forgetting inside, a couple of what looked like bills, and on top of the stack was a small, thin, ornate envelope with cursive handwriting on the front. "Ooo~!" she muttered childishly, suddenly wide awake. She pulled out everything inside the mailbox - including the Game Informer, finally - and rushed back into her house, giggling in excitement.

---Once inside Armony headed straight for the kitchen, laying the stack of mail on the round table in the middle while she reheated the three slices of extra-cheese pizza she had saved last night. Once she had her pizza and a glass of Diet Pepsi - in a Coca Cola glass, ironically - she sat at the table. While munching on her pizza, Armony looked through the Winn Dixie pamphlet, taking note of the discounts and such on the things she need/wanted. Then she opened the other official looking envelopes - not bills, but more stuff from some college in New York. Sure she wanted to go to it - it sounded awesome - but she was absolutely sure she could not afford it on her GameStop Grunt income. She ignored the GI; she'd read it later.

---Armony grinned as she picked up the small envelope with the cursive writing - which spelled out her name and address in an attractive manner - and used her letter-opener to open it. The envelope contained a simple piece of off-white paper - the kind of hard paper that would be hard to fold in half and keep it folded. On the paper ir read:

Armony Belle,
You have been cordially invited to a private costume rave, along with several other hand-picked guests. Please try to attend. The party will be held at the Castle On the Outskirts of Lake Pacis on October 31st at night. Come at dusk.

Yours,
The Sun God

P.S., No other guests than yourself may attend.

---By the time she finished reading the invitation - which took about ten seconds - Armony was grinning and giggling in a very excited manner; she was even bouncing in her seat. "This is so awesome~! I am totally going! Not like I have anything better to do on Halloween, since this neighboorhood is very anti-Teenage trick-or-treaters. . . I'd get arrested. . . Asstards. . ." Armony muttered, casting an absentmindedly bird out the window. Her mood lifted a second later, and she was back to her previous excited self. "But a rave is gonna be better than trick-or-treating~! And I already have a costume~! This Halloween is gonna be awesome~!"

Embrace The Darkness Around You...

Kaiyuna sighed as she wandered the halls of the abandoned castle. Even then, though, the castle was not as abandoned as people thought. As she looked around, people shifted positions and ran around, some leaving for their first meal of the night while others were just waking up. She herself couldn't sleep, so she had been going around, maybe even pulling a few pranks as the others slept on.

She could here now some of the yells coming from her most recent victims to her lovely pranks. Hiding in the shadows, an evil smile spread across her face as a group of boys rushed by her, absolute rage showing on their faces.

"Kaiyuna! We know it was you, and you can't hide forever!" Her eyes flickered to each boy, looking at the damage she has caused. One guy's hair was now retro pink, thanks to her own wonderful hair-dying talents. The others were either in girl's clothes, their hair is completely shaven off, or they found themselves covered in make-up.

They should just be lucky I didn't pull off my sun tan prank on them... She thought wickedly, as she remembered the time when she had opened up the shades just a tad when one vampire had went to sleep early, right before the sun came up from the horizon. His whole arm was completely burned and now barely visible scars line his right arm to this day. He still doesn't know it was her.

Her back brushed up against the wall as she silently adjusted her position for comfort, and while it did her shirt snugged on a small nail and made a small tearing noise, loud enough for a vampire to hear it. All of the boys turned around, starting to slowly stalk towards where Kaiyuna was currently hiding in the deep shadows of a corner. Well, that was stupid of me... She thought, until a second later right when they were about to lunge towards where I was, a meowing sound came from behind them.

They all turned towards the noise, noticing a small black cat. It hissed at them, then ran away. "Hey, that's Kaiyuna's cat, Neko! After him!" One boy called out. At that, they all ran after the little black feline, determined to catch him. Kaiyuna sighed.

A minute later, a cat brushed against her leg, purring. It was the same cat that the boys were just chasing. "Oh, my lovely little black Neko! You sure tricked those guys, didn't you." She said to him, scratching him under his chin and giving him much love. Neko purred, contentment showing on his face. He was the only one that Kaiyuna ever treated nice, seeing as how she doesn't really socialize with the others around here.

She stood back up, stepping out of the shadows after believing it was really safe to come out. "They'll probably be looking for you outside, determined to catch you, so it'll be a while before they come back." She said to Neko. Amusement gleamed in the cat's eyes. He was very intelligent for just being an animal. "Come on, let's go get you something to eat now." Neko meowed in agreement, walking up to her side while staying in step with her along the way to his meal.

(( @ Unrisenone: Please fix your seasons, because it isn't hot in AUTUMN, and it's not summer, and please proofread your post prior to posting it, to make your you didn't forget a quote mark or you forgot a question mark at the end of a question. :3 Also, you really don't need to post a picture of your character, unless it's using "imgleft" or "imgright", because otherwise, it's just annoying.

@ Fallen Without Sin: PLEEEAAASE, break paragraph every once-in-a-while. You have a very large wall of text. [Break paragraph usually every time someone says something, unless it's the same person speaking more than once, or when there's a new "idea".]

Where'd you go?
I miss you so...

Rada smiled as she looked through the rack of clothes. She was rathered pleased with the costumes infront of her, but knew she couldn't get any of them. The prices weren't to high; they were to... Showy, as one would say.

After a few moments she shook her head. They were cute but she didn't want to be labeled as 'The Slut' of the group becuase of her outfit. Even though it's rave and bright UV colors, she still didn't want to risk it. After a silent sigh, she walked around the local rave store hoping to find something bright and green.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw her wish come to life. In the far back corner she saw a black corset with UV lime green netting on the side. It was actually to complicated to described and that was one reason why she loved it. She pulled it off the rack ad ran into the dressing room with it. She didn't hesitate to rip it off the hanger and put it on. As she pulled the zipper, that was placed on the front, up, she slowly saw the corset take the shape of her bodice. She smiled and began to spin in circles as she tried to look at the corset from every angle.

She was very pleased with it. She slipped it off and placed it, gently, on the hanger. She walked out of the room and began to search for a matching skirt but in then end never found one. She did, though, find a tutu like skirt that where the same colors. She just drooled over it. She repeated the Dressing Room Process and got that one. Next she needed some Fluffies, then accessories. She found all of the items a hour after fining the top. When she was rung up, the amount the whole out fit cost was $376.82. She wasn't surprised at the amount. She payed it with ease.

Besides her monthly income, her brother also gave her $300 dollars just to make sure she can pay her bills.

...Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone.

((GAH! Sorry it's took so long for me to reply. I've been BUUUSSSSYYY! And that, me dear, is no lie. I have more I would like to add to this, but not at this moment. Also I will upload her outfit in time. Patience, young jedi! ))

Not having anything else to do that day Chris decided to get his costume shopping over with so he could lounge around the house until the rave came around. He started with the nearest store but all it had was kiddy stuff. He went through store after store with no luck until he came across what looked to be a cosplay shop. He figured what the hell. Maybe they would have something cool to use as a costume. He slowly went through the isle looking over all the finely made costumes of various animes and movies. He was tempted to get the terminator outfit but it looked a bit bulky to rave around in. The gladiator outfit looked good but he didn't see himself wearing a skirt. He was torn between the pirate or the ninja costume but with the ninja it would have to keep adjusting the mask to eat, drink or talk to people... Though the Sub-Zero mask would work ok for talking he would still have to move it or take it off to eat or drink. He finally decided on a mad scientist look. After he paid for it he went home and decided to veg in front of the tv for the rest of the day.

Matt scrounged about her closet for a good rave outfit-- that of which she had plenty-- however, none seemed costume-y enough. Discovering this, she got into her piggy bank and took out what she'd saved up for such an occasion.
"Mom, I'm going out to pick an outfit for the party." she told her mother.
"Don't you already have several hundred outfits?" her mother complained.
"Yeah, but none of them work." Matt complained back. Her mom sighed.
"Nothing too slutty, now. I didn't give birth to a harlot."
Matt gave her a thumbs-up. "Not a problem, Ma." And then she left the house with some of her good pieces that she might be able to mix-and-match with. However, it was a costume/cosplay party... so... hmm. As she walked downtown to her favourite store (it was a little hole-in-the-wall that had EVERYTHING), she thought of what she wanted to be.

"Well," she thought aloud, "I've got a bunch of wings... But they're kinda big and flashy..." she reasoned. "Maybe if I find a smaller pair..." she entered the store, and one of the workers greeted her.
"NO, SHH! I'm thinking." she ordered, pointing at them accusingly. They chuckled and walked away to tend the store. "I think a rave fairy sounds good. Or, like, an angel or something." she concluded, starting to peruse the store.
"Anything specific for ya today, Juno?" the hot manager, Cole, asked. Matt turned around, her face turned beet-red, and she immediately hid in a rack of clothes.
"You can't seeee meeee~ I'm nooooot heeeere~" she said in a sing-songy voice from within the rack.
"Okaaaaayyy." Cole replied in an equally sing-songy voice.
"You sound reaaaaaally gaaaay~" Matt replied.
"Why are you singing to begiiiiin wiiiiith?"
There was a long pause. "I'm nooooooot heeeeeere~"
Cole walked away, laughing. Matt checked to see if the coast was clear, then hid herself amongst the accessories and the clearance aisle.

After a long time of looking, she managed to find blue and black-striped arm socks, remembering that she had some green and black-striped socks at home, and a black corset she could lace with blue and green ribbons. She also found some tiny blue-and-green fairy wings on sale that matched her petticoat almost perfectly. It came out to almost forty dollars. She winced at the price, and had to call her mom to spot her twenty. She tried on the outfit when she got home, finding herself quite satisfied. She put the outfit away and spent the rest of her day playing video games and making supper for her and her mom to make up for the money she had to borrow.

It was times like this that annoyed Damien the most, watching Embry and Apollo making fools out of themselves. He sighed, knowing very well times had changed and he needed to change with them. That however seem to be difficult no matter how hard he tried. First thing first...he would need a costume. What ever happen to masked balls that he used to attend to? And why did the music have to be undeathly loud? All questions that neither Embry or Apolloe would answer probably without laughing fully in his face.

He pulled the headphones off of Embry before he leaned against one of the tables, "Embry, why do you have to act like that? We all know you're the last person who would help set this up and perhaps the first on the dancefloor." He knew Embry only complained to be the center of attention, but that was hard for one to do when they are all by themselves in a room. He looked around the room before sighing, "Have you seen Apollo? I need his help for a costume for the party."

Hearing his name, Apollo appeared before Damien with a grin.
"You called?" he asked, wearing a long, striped glove on one hand, and a short, full-fingered black one on the other, as well as demon horns and bug antennae.
"Sorry, I was trying some stuff on..." he muttered, taking off the headdresses and gloves and stuffing them in his pockets along with his hands.
"Anyway, what did you need?" he asked again, getting back on-subject.

(( Sorry it's so short! I didn't have much to do. xDD ))

Damien sighed as he swallowed a bit of his pride as he spoke, "I need help with a costume...I plan on going to the ball tonight." He was half expecting for Apollo to laugh at his face, maybe expected it to happen. Mainly because Apollo and Embry was current with the present while he was stuck in the past. Half of the time he would forget what year it was.

He was rethinking his decision to go to the party, wondering if Apollo or Embry would pull some sort of prank to make him look like a fool. He would have to watch out for their antics while trying to mingle with the crowd. It was starting to sound harder as time pasted. "So are you going to help me Apollo?"

Chris awoke the next morning and went about his daily routine. Eat, shower and find something to do for the day. He sat down in front of the tv and began to play Halo 3 to goof off a bit. The rave was scheduled for tomorrow and he was completely ready already having his costume he could take it easy until it was time to dress up for it. He soon got bored and went out to the mall to see if he could find anything to do there. Maybe watch some of the ddr competitions that went on sometimes.

Embrace The Darkness Around You...

After she fed her black cat, Neko, Kaiyuna headed outside to see how the preparations were doing for their little rave that was planned. When she first heard about it, she wasn't really interested, but that was until they had mentioned that humans were being invited to this. Thinking it would be interesting with the humans around, and what may happen with the humans here, she decided to participate.

She walked around and admired the work that was being put into this party of theirs. Everything was being set up real nicely, and you can tell it was going to be a big event, just by the looks of the anxious faces on almost all the vampires here. There was still no sign of the group of pranked boys, so she decided to go look for some people and chat with them.

A couple of minutes later, she saw Damien and Apollo talking. "Hey guys, how's it going? Is everything almost set up, yet?" She asked. She was also wondering when the humans would be getting here, tonight or tomorrow, but she decided to wait to ask that question later.
