Tessa could feel the pace of her heart beat slowing down as she followed some girl named Chloe around. She went through the motions of being on a tour. Her eyes scanned the room called the pit and she barely noticed all the people in it. Her eyes were trained to find just one person in a crowd. She felt her feet step forward beneath her at the sight of brown curly hair. He was far away but when he turned around, Tess took a step back, her face scrunched up in a frown. It wasn’t him. Wasn’t he at least curious what faction she had chosen? Did he even know she was here? She hadn’t really understood why the male at the bottom of the net had been so rude about Andrew. He had to be here. Why hadn’t he known his name? Was Andrew factionless? She wasn’t sure. If he was factionless, though, she knew he would have reached out to her. Her whole body felt heavy as she slumped onto some bed the minute they entered what seemed to be a dormitory.

She was just about to stand up and change when she noticed all the males filing in. She looked up curiously, realizing that this was a co-ed dorm. So, there would be no privacy. She wasn’t really sure how to feel about it. Perhaps, if her biggest problem was solved there would be more effort in her to care that all those boys would watch her undress and redress. She sighed, standing up and removing her garments. Taking a look at the clothing, she shoved it underneath her bed. It was a strange thing, holding onto clothes from a place she had counted down the days to leave, but she couldn’t bear to part with them yet. While she had had issues with her parents, they still smelt like home and home was home. Quickly, she put the black Dauntless clothing on and zipped up the jacket. It fit, alright. ”Well, I chose a bed next to yours. I hope that’s alright.” Tessa turned around to look at Candice who was still wearing Candor clothes. She was one of the last to change except for a brunette female with pink stripes in her hair.

She shrugged her shoulders in response to the female who was finally getting around to remove her clothes. Tessa watched as she looked at them sadly. ”Are you going to keep them?” She asked softly, walking to stand next to the female. Though Candice was annoying, she knew how the girl felt. They were in a new place entirely and alone. She shook her head, balling the clothes up. ”No. I’m not. Are you?” She threw them aside and turned to Tessa. ”No.” She lied, hoping that she had tucked them far enough away underneath her bed. ”May as well go explore.” Tessa nodded, most of the other initiates had already left to The Pit. ”I’ll follow you.” Tessa nodded forward towards the door. Truth be told, the female just didn’t remember how to get to the Pit and didn’t want to make a fool of herself in the first few hours. She hadn’t been paying attention, she’d been looking for Andrew.

The Pit was unlike anything she had ever seen. People were all over the place and a few times she panicked, when Candice wasn’t directly in front of her anymore due to the vast amount of people. She could feel the bass of the music on the ground with each step she took and she couldn’t help but form a small smile at how welcoming a lot of them were. Well, she could tell that most of them were drunk. Candice led them to a counter where small glasses were lined up. ”Want one?” Tessa raised her eyes from the cups with clear liquid in them. ”What, um. What are they?” She could feel the heat rising to her cheeks, feeling stupid for asking a question that everyone around seemed to know the answer to. ”A shot glass? You haven’t seen one before?” Tessa watched as a male tilted his head back in a quick action and drank the whole thing. She shook her head. ”Well, it’s alcohol-“ ”I know what alcohol is.” She snapped. Sure, she knew what it was, but she had never been around it before. Her parents had kept her home most of the time and she didn’t have many friends back in her faction which was why she had probably never seen Candice before.

Kenzie glanced back at Cal when he told her to keep her chin up. What was that supposed to mean? Could he tell
that the jump had been terrifying for her? She didn't know but decided not to question it before joining the
others. “I was going to volunteer when Durell volunteered before I could voice it. Then I got stuck waiting when
Callaway, and that d**k,
” she glanced at Tyler, “stepped up.” she told Koby, glad to be talking to him. It gave her
a reason and something to do while she ignored Xavier's pompous chatter with his stupid friends.

Her thoughts were pulled, as were her eyes from Koby when Q spoke, introducing himself as well as Cal and CJ.
Her eyes shifted to CJ as she spoke, telling all the transfers they were with her. Thank God they weren't going to
continue to the mixed. She already had enough issues with the assholes she grew up with, she didn't want to
have to deal with the idiot transfers too, if she didn't have to. Once Cj was gone with the transfers, Cal lead
them from the room as well, speaking as he did. She was glad that there wasn't going to be a pointless tour. She
didn't know if she would have been able to stay awake through a tour of the facility that she knew like the back
of her hand. It came to no surprise to her as he told them they would not be returning to their families. Though
she would miss her mother and sister, she was fine with that. She hated the house she had lived in until today.
There were too many bad memories associated with that place.

They walked around the edge of the Pit, and followed Cal to the dorm where they would be staying. It was a
large room filled with bunk beds. After everyone was in the room, Cal spoke officially introducing himself. It
was only after he finish speaking and mentioned the bathroom that it dawned on her. This was a co-ed dorm.
She would have to change in front of these people. Her stomach churned and her pulse raced at the thought of
changing, or even sleeping in the same room with the males. She felt as if she were going to be sick, or have a
panic attack. Maybe being factionless wouldn't be so bad after all. It was a weak thought to have, but she was
terrified of what might happen.

The group broke apart, and she didn't move. She couldn't. She was afraid if she moved she would break down.
And that was the last thing she needed was to break down, here, in front of everyone. Finally she was able to
calm herself enough to move. She glanced around before noticing Koby laying on the bottom bunk of a set of
beds, and no one had claimed the top yet. She moved toward him. “Can I have the top?” she asked him. They
were friends, for the most part, and she trusted him to an extent. Maybe if she shared a bunk with him, he
would be woken up and would help her if anything were to happen to her in the middle of the night. Of course,
there was no guarantee of that, but at the moment, it was the only hope she had for making it through
initiation. Well that as just not bathing. She hadn't even seen the bathroom yet, but she was afraid to even go
look. She already had an idea of what to expect, and it wasn't good. She didn't want to see it yet and confirm her
fears.

She didn't bother climbing up to her bed because before she knew it Cal was coming back in, announcing it was
time for dinner. She didn't want to think about food. Not really. She was still uneasy at their living conditions.
She sighed, dawdling in the dorm as everyone left. Quickly she decided to look at the bathroom before joining
them at dinner before anyone noticed she wasn't there. As soon as she saw the openness of the bathroom she
regretted it. It was actually worse than what she had thought. She didn't stay long before hurrying to the Pit. She
glanced around for a moment before noticing the line of shots on a counter. Two girls that she didn't recognize
from behind were standing in front of them, looking at them. She decided not to care what they were doing just
standing there, and to join them, though she didn't have an intention of talking to either of them, but rather to
down a few of the shots.

She weaved through the people, to close the short distance. Finally she stood next to the one that she had seen
earlier that she thought looked familiar. “Do I know you?” Kenize asked her as she picked up one of the shot
glasses. "You look familiar.” she said, though now that she was closer to the girl, she knew she didn't know
her. Maybe she had seen her in school before? The girl obviously wasn't from Dauntless, but still she could have
sworn she had seen her before, that or someone who looked like her. Kenzie quickly down the shot, setting the
small glass back down, before picking up a second and downing it as well.

Ooc || she's talking to Tess at the end so everyone knows xD

In his mind he already had it made up who would be the ones to struggle, succeed, or fail. It was disheartening knowing that some of the Dauntless-borns would fail, but there was nothing he could do. Cal had a good eye for traits of success and since he was familiar with all his initiates he knew. Honestly, he wished that they could retain all initiates, but that would not be the case. They had to take the strongest into their ranks and discard the weak links, and no matter how many times Cal challenged that rule he always got shot down. One leader even questioned if Cal was going soft. No, he wasn’t going soft, he was thinking that more numbers meant more success, but the leaders’ arguments were valid and Cal had stopped debating. He was not a leader and had no true foot in the door when it came to their decision-making.

He didn’t enter The Pit right away. Instead, he climbed the stairs to his own apartment. Cal was not in the mood for partying. Closing the heavy metal door behind him, Cal approached the large window of the main room and looked out into the night. Below, he could see a few street lights illuminating the sidewalks as he stuck his hands in his pockets.

Durell. Kenzie. Koby. Evie. Those would be the ones he would see got into Dauntless. They all had traits Dauntless could get stronger from. Xavier was too…cruel, in his opinion. Perhaps bordering on evil. Passing someone like that through to Dauntless would be like giving him a license to kill whomever and whenever. Dauntless did not need that chaos. Johanna was also like a ticking time bomb, and he knew she would do everything in her power to succeed, but there was something nagging at the back of his mind that she wouldn’t be able to. She’d crack like an egg under pressure.

Callway would be good in Dauntless, no doubt. He seemed to have well-control over his feelings. Perhaps that would change in the fear simulation. He seemed mentally strong, but Cal wasn’t so certain, and Aria Chase… A quiet girl who seemed to sweet to be in Dauntless. Then again, so was Evie. Ari and Evie… those two would be neck and neck, and it made worse that they were best friends. He did not envy their situation.

Moving from the window now, he sat down at the desk and scribbled his thoughts down. He’d have to watch them all more and come to a conclusion. It wasn’t really his decision who made it into Dauntless, but he knew he could push those that he thought would suit better to pass. He wasn’t playing favorites; he was choosing the strong ones. The ones that were mentally, physically, and emotionally strong to truly belong.

Once finished, Cal joined the partying members in The Pit. He slid into an unoccupied seat, helped himself to a large cup full of beer, and sighed to himself. He took a large gulp, setting it down as he watched Dina approach him. Oh good Lord. With a grumble, Cal grabbed a roll and tore a piece of, eating it as the female sat next to him. “So, Cal, what do you think now? How are the end results going to be? Gonna try and get all our Dauntless-borns in, aren’t you?

He shrugged his shoulders. He hated talking about his business. “They get themselves in. I just show them how to do it,” came his quick response as he took another piece of his roll and another swig of his beer. Cal spotted Chloe, Teagan, and Tanner in a group, watching as both Tanner and Teagan clearly looked drunk. It peaked his curiosity. Why was Teagan drunk? He looked around and Dina laughed, pointing them out.

I think Teagan’s had a little too much to drink. He must be in quite the celebratory mood!”

Cal stood up. “I’m gonna see if they need any help.” It was a good excuse to get away and he approached the three of them, holding out a hand to steady Teagan with Tanner. “It’s still early and you two are already wasted.” He shook his head with a small smile. “Can’t you hold your drink?

Tessa held the clear glass up in front of her, tilting it a bit to get a feel for how much liquid was in it. Didn’t seem like much. She’d never been drunk before, to be honest. After Andrew had left, her parents had cracked down on her, not letting her go out and making her come straight home after school. There were a few occasions she was allowed to go out with what friends she had had. Though most had stayed in Candor, and even when she was able to go out, her parents knew every little detail. For a while, she believed that all Candor households were like that until Andrew told her differently and noticed that her friends lives were different than hers too. Candice cleared her throat, stealing Tessa away from thoughts of being cooped up in the house with her parents. Candice was looking at her expectantly. ”I can see right through your lie. It’s clear you do not know what alcohol is. But that’s fine really, because I’ll show you.” There was that Candor honesty. Tessa didn’t miss it much even though she possessed those types of traits.

Candice snatched the glass from her fingers, making Tessa feel stupid. She tipped the cup back and in one swallow had the whole thing down. Tessa shrugged her off, pretending to be unimpressed, but really she was just jealous that someone like Candice seemed to know more than she did. Honestly, Candice was more of just a ‘adjustment friend.’ The two didn’t really have much in common at all, but it was nice to talk to someone who from her faction and understood things that the others didn’t. Tessa copied all of the females moves, closed her eyes and felt the burning of the liquid trickle down her throat. Just as she had finished, a female had appeared. Judging by the pin stripes in her hair, Tessa could tell that the girl was from Dauntless.

”How could I possibly know you? We come from two separate-“ Tessa bit down on her lip, looking at the female slowly. Sometimes, her mouth ran away with her and she spoke before she really thought about what she was saying. A thought came to her and she leaned into the counter, ignoring Candice who was standing awkwardly slightly behind her. ”Do you know someone named Andrew? He’s about four years older than us…Brownish, black hair? Slightly curly at the top?” She folded her arms across her chest, desperately wishing that the female would give her more than the stupid male who was at the bottom of the net.

Although it wasn't too long ago that Abigail had taken the jump from the ceiling of Dauntless, she didn't take as much interest in the new initiate class as perhaps she should. She would get to know the faces soon enough, since almost all of the initiates eventually made it into one of the chairs in the Dauntless tattoo parlour before the end of their initiation process. Transfers would come in for their first tattoo, to memorialise their decision to become Dauntless, only for many of them to fall short and end up as factionless at the end of it all. Dauntless born, well, it was more of a piece for their memory bank. That way they could look back on it all later on in life and tell their stories. For the Dauntless born, it was so they'd be able to say that it was that particular tattoo they got when they came back to Dauntless after the Choosing Ceremony, when they came back home. It was all the same, year after year. It was difficult not only for them of course but for Abigail as well. It was only because she got to know some of them pretty well when they sat in her chair, depending on how drastic or intricate the design and how chatty they became. What is there to do other then chat up the tattoo artist while you sit in their chair? She liked to hear about their lives, what they were excited for, what their fears were. It was those initial conversations that brought those people back to talk to her again and again, whether it be for another tattoo or simply as a confidant. Talking was one of the few things Abigail was good at- solving problems and being a bit of a helping hand when they were faced with the brunt of the ranking system. Sure it made it a bit more difficult when those few months would pass and suddenly some of the most chatty faces were gone but it helped the days go by none the less.

It was better that they were talkative in a lot of ways; better talkative then silent. There were several people whom were just painfully awkward to tattoo (and yes, one of the primary ones that came to mind was Teagan... nice guy- they were friends due to the fact they had gone through initiation together. However, to say that Abigail felt a bit of relief that the tattoo she had inked onto him was small, to end the silence at a faster pace, wouldn't be an understatement). That day, the tattoo parlour was empty, technically all closed up due to the initiates falling in from the sky. It was probably for the best in many ways. Many of the Dauntless members were drunk and unable to make clear decisions. Having the tattoo parlour open on a day like choosing day would only cause havoc and create s**t tone of drunk tattoo stories which would be spoken around the cafeteria the following morning. To say she had never done a tattoo while they were drunk would be untrue, for a couple came to mind as she filled up the ink bottles on her station for the following day. Abigail tried to avoid it when she could, however, some people you just couldn't tell were drunk! So, Abigail would sit, only to realize halfway through the initial inking that they were completely drunk and wouldn't likely remember agreeing to the permanent work of art in the morning. Even still, the memories caused Abigail to chuckle in the dimly lit tattoo parlour as she finished setting up her station. She only had to set up Colm's station then Abigail would be done- ******** finally. Why she had offered to let him go out early without him cleaning up all his tools- who knows.

The young woman gently ran a hand through her hair as she pushed herself up from the tattoo chair, gently rubbing her stomach as a loud and audible rumble escaped it. It was as if she could hear the cake and beer calling her name even from her spot in her own miniature isolation. She liked to be alone, simple solitude was one of the few things she retained from her life in Erudite before transferring. Sure she didn't curl up with a book any more, but chilling and just doodling or something- was a good afternoon when she could get it. Still, as she thought of dinner, she couldn't help but push herself a little bit faster. The faster she got it done, the faster she could go get something to eat. Abigail attempted to remove all of her thoughts from her mind as she cleaned up the station, refilling the small bottles of ink and checking on the condition of Colm's tattoo guns. Sanitary wipes and rubbing alcohol went like liquid gold in the tattoo parlour, since no day was ever entirely stagnant without some member of Dauntless coming in for a touch up, a brand new tattoo or a piercing of some sort. The Dauntless might have been up for anything, but infections and contamination... it was Abigail's one sticking point. Since she had taken over the leadership position in the parlour, it was the one thing she fought for, hand over fist. Colm wasn't the brightest bulb, okay he was closer to a sack of hammers than an Erudite (a lot closer honestly), but he understood that at least. Even though she was cleaning down his station on that particular afternoon, he had a spick and span work area usually- prepared for any drop in. The two of them were on point... mostly because he knew how to take direction and she knew how to explain it to him in a way he could remember. Normally, only one artist was on duty, allowing for a free rotation but for peek times, like when all the newbies clamoured for some ink, all hands were on deck. Colm and Abigail worked well in tandem, keeping a fine line between chaos and efficiency. It took a while to train Colm but in the end- it was all for the best.

Fifteen minutes past and with the gloves gone and her brow wiped, everything was done. Clean and simple, the store seemed almost sparkling with its new clean polish. Abigail washed her hands, pulling her long black hair back into a pony tail and out of her face, causing a slight dampness in her hair. The sound of the party echoed all throughout the halls and she knew that the Pit would be alive with excitement and fun. The new recruits, almost hazed with the ferocity of drunk Dauntless, would be making their way through the crowds. Good luck to 'em. No- Abigail didn't really think about them as she pulled on her jacket and closed up shop, making her way towards the Pit. No, she thought about getting a beer and looking around for some of the few friends she had in Dauntless. The first she actually spotted was Colm. His face was almost as slurred looking as his words, his eyes roaming around as if he was actually looking for someone. "Colm, look at you!" Abigail's voice chirped, causing the young boy's eyes to shift towards her slowly. He had joined Dauntless only a year before- so it was a new experience for him.

"Oh Abigail- I was- I was just looking for you!" he gurgled.
"No you weren't," Abigail teased, shoving her hands into her pockets. "Your station is all cleaned. Drink lots of water alright? Tattooing hung over is not fun. I assure you."

The boy chuckled and nodded, glancing at Abigail a bit longer then she felt comfortable with before he coughed and looked away for a brief second. She watched him waiting for him to say something as his eyes returned to her. His face contorted as if he had something to say, but even after a long pause, the only word to escape him was: "Thanks."

She rolled her eyes, gently patting his shoulder as she went on her way once more. "Have fun kiddo. See you tomorrow."

When she entered the Pit, it was as alive as she had imagined. People were everywhere it seemed but all Abigail could do was find one of the beers and begin to wander around, eyes trained for someone she recognized. Actually, correction- she recognized almost everyone. So her task was to find someone she recognized and actually cared to talk to. A small horde seemed to catch her attention and she couldn't help but chuckle to herself as she made her way over. Tanner, Teagan, Cal and Chloe were all standing together. "Hey guys, don't mean to barge in- but it seems like you guys are having fun," Abigail chuckled, glancing between Tanner and Teagan. She glanced up at Cal and Chloe, smiling a bit before chuckling. "How's it going? Newbies all looking good? You two were stuck with that duty this year right?"

Chloe had just been about to open her mouth and tell Teagan who the first jumper had been, when a loud voice interrupted her. Leave it to Wyatt. Simply shrugging, she turned so that she could see Wyatt on his make shift podium. He gave the same speech he did every year. So predictable. Regardless it still carried the same meaning. Be dauntless. Prove that this is where you belonged. From what she'd seen there were a few initiates who certainly didn't belong here. It wasn't just the transfers though, there were a few dauntless born that she figured wouldn't make it past the first cut. Not that that mattered right now. "Dinner sounds great! I'm starving anyway!" She laughed as Teagan tried to stand up, only to crash into Tanner. The whole scene was just comical. Stepping forward, she took a hold of Teagan's other arm to steady him. "Easy there boozey, no falling down just yet." With Cal and Tanner's help they managed to steady him. "Hey Cal! Nice of you to show up. I guess those dauntless born are more work than you expected huh?" Chloe grinned and winked as she spoke. She was determined to win the bet this year. Her transfer initiates were going to blow his dauntless born out of the water.

"Teagan's had just a tiny smidge too much... But he'll be fine." Abigail chose that moment to show up, causing Chloe to smile again. Abby was probably the only close female friend that she had. Clo trusted the young woman with her life, and she was always glad to see her. "Hey Abs. Yeah, Cal and I are training this year, but don't worry. I'll make sure to kick his a**. We all know who's initiates are going to be better!" The brunette laughed. A little smack talk never hurt right? Especially since she was only teasing. Her merry mood was interrupted by Tanner however. She couldn't help but roll her eyes slightly as Tanner told her to take Teagan home. "Apparently I'm taking Teagan home now, but I'll be back so save some drinks for me okay? " A small sigh escaped her lips as she draped Teagan's arm around her shoulders to help keep him steady. "Alright T, let's get you home." She muttered the words to herself as she made her way out of the pit with the dauntless leader. Why the hell was he so drunk already?

It didn't take her all too long to reach his apartment, when she did she reached into his pocket to try and find his keys. Once she did she unlocked the door and brought him inside. After their years of friendship she'd been to his place enough times to know where most things were. Half dragging him into his bed room, Chloe released her grip and let Teagan plop back onto his bed. "Why the hell are you so drunk already Teagan? God..." With a sigh, the brunette headed to his kitchen where she grabbed a glass and filled it with water. Spotting a bottle of asprin in a cupboard, she grabbed that too before returning to Teagan. Chloe set the water and asprin on his nightstand. He would need it when he woke up. She certainly wasn't envious of the killer headache he would wake up with.

Glancing over at him, she couldn't help but grin. He looked like he was ready to pass out. But not before he muttered something. "Did you say something Teagan?" With a sigh, she decided that she should be a good friend. Walking over to his bed, she took a hold of his shoes and pulled them off. Letting them drop on the floor with a clunk, she paused. There was no way she was undressing him. That was a little too out of her comfort zone. Instead she settled for rolling him over so that she could pull his blanket out from under him. Tossing it out over him, Chloe spread the blanket out before going and propping a pillow under his head. That should be fine. "Good night boozey. Sleep tight."

She just couldn't seem to place where she knew this girl from. She looked so familiar. Maybe she just had one of those
familiar faces? Or looked like someone that Kenzie actually did know. Kenzie found herself staring at the girl trying to figure it
out. She'd get it eventually, she knew she would, but it was going to bug her until she did that was for sure. Kenzie's eyes
shifted away to pick up another shot and down it, only shifting back moments later when the girl began to run her mouth. Her
eyes narrowed. This b***h was not about to be rude, not when Kenzie was playing nice. It wouldn't last long so this girl would
be wise to not make an enemy before training, because it wouldn't end well for her.

Kenzie's eyes shifted to the girl standing with the dark haired one. She looked uneasy, and as if she didn't want to be standing
with her friend and talking to her. “You can leave if it's such an inconvenience to stand with your friend while she and I talk.
she said with an attitude. The girl instantly looked away, but didn't leave. Whatever. This was when the girl spoke again,
asking about some dude named Andrew. Andrew was such a stupid Nose's name. The only Andrew's she 'knew' she had met in
school, and she definitely didn't associate with them, or anyone outside of Dauntless for that matter. But Kenzie humored the
girl, listening to her description, though it wasn't exactly narrowing anything down. Four years older, with dark curly hair?
That was a good handful of the older Dauntless guys.

Kenzie stood there and thought about it for a good moment, thinking maybe this girl looked like whoever she was describing,
but nothing came to her mind. Andrew wasn't a Dauntless name and she didn't know anyone in the faction with that name.
Andrew is a stupid, Nose name. There isn't anyone here by that name. Chances are if you haven't found him yet he's either
dead, or worse, factionless. You should just give up and focus on not ended up the same way.
” She said picking up one more
shot glass and lifting it to her lips. She then sat down the glass, and turned and walked away without another word. She had
had about as much of these girls as she could take. She seemed to remember them being in Candor clothing before changing,
so she was sure they would talk about her once she was gone. But she didn't care.

She made her way through the people, heading this time to get food. She needed to put something in her stomach to absorb
some of the alcohol she had just put into her system. Though she was already beginning to faintly feel it, she didn't need or
want to wake up with a hang over tomorrow. The first day of training would be shitty regardless, so she didn't need to add to
it. She got in and out quickly, grabbing a hamburger, and a cup of water before her eyes scanned the table for anyone she
knew. She finally saw someone and went and sat across the table from Koby. She didn't speak to him, but rather began to eat,
her eyes shifting from her food to the people around them that were partying. As she watched them, she felt anxious. She was
ready to get the initiation over with and be a full fledged member of Dauntless. Then maybe she could finally feel like she'd
put the past behind her for good.

The jump was nothing, and soon everyone that had been on top was joining the rest at the bottom. He watched as the last of the initiates followed suit after him, plummeting from the roof into the net. Absently he wondered if any of the others had enjoyed the jump as much as he had, but he said nothing to any of the others. Instead he stood there, with his arms crossed over his chest, with a smirk on his lips, his eyes scanning the crowd. As he looked them each over, he made mental notes of the ones he thought he should be leery of, and the ones he knew he, himself could intimidate. It seemed like a pretty even split in his mind, but only time would tell.

Soon everyone was off of the roof, and a woman a few years older than them followed after. She was hot. His eyes followed her as she moved to join the guy that had helped him out of the net. The pair joined an older man that spoke, and she followed after him. His smirk grew as she announced she was the transfer initiate trainer. So she was going to be teaching him everything he needed to know? This day just kept getting better and better. He eagerly followed her and the other transfers from the room. He looked around as they walked out of the net room into what CJ called 'The Pit'. It was loud, and lively. There was obviously a bunch of partying going on, and he instantly loved it. The Erudite were always so stuffy and formal, like they didn't even know what the word fun was. Well, they did, but their idea of fun was learning. Learning new stuff was cool and all, but there was only so much he could take before his brain felt overloaded with information that he wouldn't likely need.

He didn't allow himself to linger, though he wanted to. Getting lost now wasn't the best choice at the moment. There would be plenty of time for him to not know where the hell he was in the compound later. For now he needed to stay with the group. He rounded a corner with them, and soon they were being lead into a large room with multiple bunk beds in it. He looked around for a moment before CJ spoke again, telling them that they would all be staying in this room for the next 10 weeks. It was co-ed? Sweet. She then motioned to a few boxes piled high with clothes, telling them to change. He did as he was told and drug through one of the boxes of black clothing finding something that would fit him. He then claimed a bunk, and pulled his shirt over his head. Glancing around, not allowing his eyes to linger too long on anyone, he watch as the others moved to change as well. He then pulled the new black tee-shirt over his head, before dropping the pants he was wearing, to exchange them for the pair of black jeans. He tossed his old clothes to the side. He didn't plan on keeping them, but he'd dispose of them later.

That was when CJ came back into the room, stating that if they needed anything to ask Cal. His eyes watched her as she walked out. She seemed like a b***h, but damn she was hot. Were all Dauntless women like her? If so, it just further solidified that he had made the right choice. He was broken from his train of thought when a boy from Amity spoke. He smirked. “She's hot though.” he commented in reply, before the boy stated he was going to join the party. That actually didn't sound like a bad idea, and Tyler moved from where he stood to join the other male. He walked next to him, though he didn't speak, and once they got to the pit, he split up from the other, glancing around at the crowd of people all partying and having a good time. He could definitely get used to this.

He made his way through the people, and it didn't take him long before someone was shoving a bottle of beer into his hand, congratulating him on his choice, before wishing him luck that he made the cut. Made the cut? What was that supposed to mean? He didn't know, but he didn't question it. Instead he give the guy a small smile, and tip the bottle up with him. After that, he tried to remove himself from the thick of drunken Dauntless members.

He glanced around once he was away from the mass of people seeing two girls standing together that he had seen in the dorm before. If he remembered correctly they had both come from Amity. He absently made he way toward them. Might as well socialize now before the training started. “Enjoying the party ladies?” he asked with a smirk glancing between them as he got closer to them. To him, they were both short, but one of them was definitely shorter than the other. They were both cute though.

                                                      ”oh keroberos”

Ooc| I kinda just threw Ira with the NPC girl from Amity. Hope that's okay. I just figured they were from the same faction so they'd stick together at least for the first night lol.

Teagan didn't drink often so it really wasn't shocking that he was already wasted. Then again, he'd also been drinking more than just beer. At some point he vaguely remembered the burn of shots sliding down his throat, and Kade being there. But when that happened couldn't be put on a time line in his mind. Hell, he didn't really even know what time it was anymore. But judging by the fact that Chloe was there, and many people were eating, it must have been dinner time already. He didn't know. When he felt her hand grab his other arm, he leaned toward her, rather than leaning on Tanner. Though when he shifted his weight he almost fell over, catching himself and steadying himself before he fell on her, knocking her over. He gently pulled his arm from her grasp before draping it over her shoulders.

Another hand found it's way onto him, and his eyes shifted to see it belonged to Cal. After a moment, he was standing still again, and didn't feel like he was going to fall over anymore. As long as he didn't move, he'd be okay. “Sorry.” he said to Chloe, blinking a few times because as soon as he looked at her she was suddenly doubled. “Of course I can!” he protested when Cal questioned if he could hold his drink. “But she took it from me. So she's holding it.” he said laughing some, what Cal meant obviously going right over his head. Tanner laughed, but the conversation continued, and Chloe teased him about the Dauntless-born initiates. “The transfers are gonna do better this year.” he commented like he had any idea of who the Dauntless-born initiates were. He'd forgotten who he'd seen pick dauntless at the ceremony a while ago, somewhere between shots with Kade and his fourth – or maybe it was his fifth – beer with Tanner. “Cause my sister is gonna kick everyone's asses.” he said nodding some before realizing what he had just said. Thankfully he didn't think anyone had heard him before everyone's attention had shifted to Abby as she came to join them.

All of the shifting of his attention made him feel dizzy, and everyone was doubled, but he tried not to lean on Chloe, despite his arm being around her shoulders. He didn't want to fall over and take her with him. After a few things were said to Abby, Tanner spoke up and his eyes shifted to his friend. He was done? No! He could still hang out! He was fine! So what if he was seeing two of Tanner! He wasn't a weak a**. He would be fine... Maybe. As long as he didn't move away from Chloe, he'd be fine. But it didn't seem like he had much of a choice for Chloe said her temporary goodbyes to the others before speaking to him. “I'm okay.” he protested, but it didn't matter because she was soon moving, and to avoid falling over he had to walk with her.

On the way to his apartment, he did his best not to make her support his weight, though he found himself stumbling some from time to time. Luckily, it wasn't too far from the pit to his apartment and though he tried, she ended up digging in his pocket for his keys. She made him go to his bedroom, and let go of him. He fell back onto his bed, sitting on the edge. In the quiet of his apartment she finally spoke, asking why he was so drunk already. “My sister is heeeeeerrreeee.” he called out to her as she left his room to go somewhere else in his apartment. He was worried for a moment that she was leaving, but then he heard her moving around in his kitchen. “It's not good. Very bad for all of us. I could lose my position.” he said, laying back on his bed. His eyes felt heavy, but he wasn't tired. His clouded mind was still racing.

Finally she came back in and set a glass of water and a bottle of aspirin on his bedside table. “My sister is here, Clo. I can't avoid her tomorrow or for the next 10 weeks.” He told her as she pulled his shoes from his feet. She didn't have to do that, but it made hims smile. “I could lose my position. We could end up factionless, or dead, because she's here. What if someone thinks I'm helping her, giving her special treatment? Or what if they think you are cause of me? I know no one knows, but stilllllll. It's not a far jump. I don't want that to happen. I love her. But I worked hard to get where I ammm. She's gonna ruin it.” he told her with a frown as she tucked him into bed. Though she tucked him in for nothing because when she moved to leave he sat up and grabbed her wrist. “Don't leave yet.” he said frowning. “Can I have a kiss before you leave? Please? Just one?

After his first hamburger, Kobe quickly got up to get a second, walking and dodging the other
dauntless in the room. They were all over the place, drinking, partying, being loud and
obnoxious. but that is what dauntless was. it was supposed to be like this. It didn't bother him
anymore, but when he was younger, he hated how loud it was. He always had headaches from
it. This was home, all this fuss and screaming was welcoming to him, despite him being rather
                        quiet for dauntless.

In the middle of his second hamburger, Kenzie wandered over to his table and sat across from
him. He was completely fine with sharing a bunk with her. He'd rather her than any other one
else. She wouldn't complain if he woke up early to run or train. Or, she wouldn't be coming into
bed horribly late and wake him up. He wiped some ketchup from his face and looked towards
where she was looking, those partiers. "They're stupid," he said, looking how shitfaced some of
them are. "Getting drunk, wasting all their energy now. They won't do so well in training
                        tomorrow."
sighing he took a drink of his water. Maybe the new initiates thought the first day of
training tomorrow was going to be easy? Being a dependent wasn't easy before, and Kobe fully
expected tomorrow to be difficult. Cal didn't look like the type to go easy on them, they were all
originally dauntless, there was a higher level of expectation coming from them than those
                        transfers.

Koby wasn't a drinker, he didn't like losing control of himself, plus he hated the taste of alcohol.
He found no point for drinking, you're dauntless, protectors. What would happen if someone
needed them, but if they were all inebriated, they were useless. He knew there were more
dauntless outside the walls of the dining hall, walking the wall, protecting the streets, keeping
the fractionless inline, but, you never knew if something big would happen. maybe more of them
were needed. Even some of the leaders looked like they were drinking. Or, maybe Kobe was just
too serious. Only when he was young, was Kobe able to let go, to not be so much a stick in the
mud and have some fun with his life.

Cal raised his eyebrows skeptically at Teagan’s response, loosening his grip before he folded his arms across his chest. “Right… I can tell. You’re doing a very good job of it.” It was official; one of the Dauntless leaders was completely wasted. His eyes roamed the room, watching a few initiates staring at them before shaking his head. He didn’t know if Teagan’s behavior would be a positive or negative effect on the initiates, but he would definitely try to clean up the mess with his own initiates. Being drunk wasn’t something Cal liked because it altered behavior and played with the mind, although he drank all he wanted behind closed doors.

When Abigail joined them, Cal was relieved for the change of subjects. Of course, it switched to another subject that was constantly brought up around him. “By the looks of things I think I may have the upper hand this year,” replied Cal, giving Chloe a challenging look with a shrug of his shoulders. “It’s too early to tell, but some of them you can tell straight off the bat if they’re going to make it or fail.

He snorted. “You’re going to kick my a**? I’d like to see that.” His eyes flashed brightly in her direction as he straightened up. Chloe was a good fighter – one of the stronger females of Dauntless, and he wasn’t afraid to get in the ring with her although he always had reservations when it came to fighting the opposite sex. “Right, get him home in one piece. Don’t let him stumble over a ledge or anything.

Helping himself to a drink nearby, he looked at Abigail. “How’s the tattooing industry? Be prepared for a flock of eager initiates wanting to fit in as soon as possible,” Cal mumbled, bringing the rim of the cup to his mouth before drinking some of the contents. “You know how obsessive they can get to prove that they truly belong here.” Some initiates immediately attacked the tattoo artists for tattoos to look more Dauntless.

Her eyes strayed from her emptying plate to the dessert plates in the center of the table stacked with chocolate cake with thick, creamy chocolate icing – her sin. Biting her lip, she looked back at her plate as she listened to Ari talk about her ideas about how to survive the initiation process. Lifting her eyes, Evie noticed that a lot of initiates were now socializing and coming out of their shells. She was comfortable with Ari, but she knew she needed to make more connections. Friendship, she thought, was a very important aspect of getting passed the initiation weeks.

I’m going to go and see what everyone else is up to. After all, we’re all family now, wanna join?” Evie immediately interrupted Ari without so much as an apology. She had barely been paying attention to what Ari was talking about when she scanned the room for potential alliances. She looked at Ari, who looked a bit caught off guard before she began picking at her food with her fork, giving a noncommittal shrug. “Suit yourself,” Evie stated, taking that as a ‘no’ before she stood up. “Come find me if you need me. Make some friends, Ari, I think it’ll really help.

Kenzie caught her attention, and despite the fact that she was sitting with Koby. He always rubbed her the wrong way, but Kenzie was good company to keep so Evie brushed off Koby’s presence as soon as she plopped down beside Kenzie. Evie greeted, “Hey, Kenzie.” She grabbed an empty plate and then helped herself to two pieces of chocolate cake. “They went all out today – the cooks. I guess they’re trying to impress the transfers, that and the fact that this is one of the most important parties of the year.

Evie flashed a grin before taking a bite of the cake, icing smearing a bit on her cheek before she rubbed it off with a napkin. “They need to stop baking these cakes, oh my God.” The icing melted in her mouth – it was rich chocolate with a hint of caramel. She was in heaven and she closed her eyes to savor every bite. "I tried to get Ari to come over, but she wants be alone. Maybe we should meet some of the transfers - see what our competition is like."

                                                                  xW i n d S o n gx

Glenn found himself in the center of a table occupied solely by Dauntless guys. Like them, he was grinning, joking, and enjoying a good, strong beer. Energetically, he stuffed his face and downed the beverage. The food tasted far better than Amity’s food. Amity diet consisted of fresh fruits and vegetables with little meat but a lot of bread. They were mainly vegetarians and Glenn loved the hamburgers and hot dogs that were displayed in all their glory on huge platters. With the way Glenn was acting others would believe him to be a Dauntless born, especially since the Dauntless members were so accepting of him. They were patting his back heartily every time he cracked a joke or told a good story, and they would nod and agree with him. Being in this group had its advantages; they were giving him words of encouragement and advice.

As he held out his cup for another round from the pitcher of beer his eyes spotted a lithe figure across the room. He watched with interest as she was joined by two other girls before the pink-streaked girl walked away from the two of them, leaving a very shocked looking brunette. He watched her body language, slowly bringing his mug to his lips to take another drink. The alcohol had little effect on him – beer was something the Amity made as well, although this beer he could clearly tell was made by the Dauntless. It has a bit of spice in the drink that he was unfamiliar with.

Excuse me my good men,” Glenn said promptly with a smile as he looked at all of them, setting his cup down. “I’ll be back later. Make sure no one takes my place while I’m gone.” The Dauntless members nodded their heads before returning to their conversation as Glenn got to his feet and made his way over to the slim curly haired brunette as the blonde watched him approach. He looked at the blonde for a brief moment before he focused on the brown haired woman.

Glenn gave a nod of his head. “That looked intense. My name is Glenn. I’m a transfer initiate from Amity,” he introduced himself, extending his hand out to her. She did stick out like a sore thumb among everyone else, especially with that expression on her face. He looked at the blonde again, who merely rolled her eyes at him. Well, that was okay; he didn’t want to talk to her.

Tessa leaned against the counter, her eyes open wide just hoping that the female in front of her knew who Andrew was. There was a chance that joining Dauntless was a mistake. Maybe Andrew was factionless and had been too ashamed to say anything to her. No. Andrew wasn’t factionless. If he was anything like how he used to be, there was no way he was factionless. Her fingers drummed aimlessly on her opposite arm, waiting for a response. If she remembered correctly she had asked the female rather nicely about Andrew, but instead she fixed her attention on Candice who shrank under the female’s gaze. Pathetic. Tessa thought to herself. Why had she chosen Dauntless anyways? And why was she clinging onto her? She fix that problem later because right now, it didn’t hurt to have a few friends.

The female spoke and reminded Tessa of her worst fears. Her eyes scanned the crowd of people, happily drinking away. ”He’s not factionless. He’s here. Do you even go out much…You don’t seem like the type. I don’t even know why I asked you anyways. Andrew would never associate with someone like you. And are you sure your aptitude test wasn’t Candor? Because you’d fit in way better there.” Tessa gestured to the hair streaked female’s height and fragility. Tessa didn’t know how she’d perform in whatever tasks Dauntless would give them, but she knew that at least she wouldn’t be of much competition. Tessa watched her go, pushing through the crowd, and she turned to Candice, leaning forward on the counter, circling the top of a shot glass with her finger.”I find it hard to believe that you’re from Candor after that spectacle.” Her lips were pressed in a thin line. She should be looking for Andrew, not drinking but that didn’t stop her from taking down one more shot. Stupid idea.

She fanned herself, face scrunched up do to the taste. The male behind the counter handed her something that looked fruity. She took a sip and immediately the taste of the alcohol was gone. ”Maybe you should slow down…” Candice offered. Tessa whipped her head in the female’s direction, narrowing her eyes. ”Don’t tell me what to do.” There were just so many people here. That was the problem. Andrew could be any one of them, and chances were that he looked slightly different. It had been years since she had seen him, since he never cared to visit her. She could understand not wanting to see her parents because frankly, Tessa wasn’t homesick like she guessed some of the other transfers were. If anything she missed her own room and not having to share with everyone else. But that was temporary, she was pretty sure, so she’d deal. It’d make things easier if she had someone to talk to, though. And by someone she meant her brother.

That looked intense. My name is Glenn. I’m a transfer initiate from Amity,” Tessa frowned, just about to ask the bartender for another shot. For a moment, she thought it was Candice saying something stupid again. She turned around to be face a decently attractive male. Her eyes flickered to Candice, who simply rolled her eyes at him, but still didn’t leave her side. ”Amity.” She spoke slowly. ”If it wasn’t for Abnegation, I would say that Amity and Dauntless are polar opposites…” She was surprised someone from Amity would choose Dauntless. The only choosing ceremony she’d ever been to was her brothers, but she’d barely paid attention to what factions people chose or if they decided to leave their own. ”That’s the beauty of the factions, I suppose.” Tessa took his hand and shook. He was a transfer, so he wouldn’t know anything about Andrew. Which meant that even if she did ask him about Andrew, which she wouldn’t, the probabilitiy of him chewing her out like everyone else she’d asked was slim. Especially if he was from Amity. She smiled. ” Nice to meet you. I’m Tessa. This is, uh, Candice. We’re both from Candor. Although, she doesn’t really live up to the Candor name…” Her eyes flickered to the female who rolled her eyes again. Was she even from Candor….

Tessa bit down on her lip. She really hadn’t interacted with many people back at home, her parents always forcing her to come home directly after school. No one really wanted to be friends with the girl they only saw at school. ”So um, do you want a shot? I just tried them for the first time tonight. I would guess you’ve never had one being from Amity…?” Perhaps it was a stupid question.

Huh?” she said Kobe's voice pulling her back to reality. She had been spaced out watching everyone having a good time. She
couldn't fight off the uneasy feeling in the pit of her stomach, and it wasn't caused by the alcohol. “Oh. Um. Yeah.” she agreed
the words he'd said finally creeping into her mind. They were stupid, but he continued. He was right, though in this moment
she knew she had no place to really talk. She'd drank some already, though she was different. She was only slightly tipsy at
the moment, and by the time she was done eating the feeling would be gone. She wouldn't be hung over in the morning. She
couldn't really afford to be hung over.

They're a bunch of idiots.” she agreed. He didn't need to know she had had a few shots. It wasn't like she was out of control,
so it wouldn't matter either way. If anything it'd only make her look stupid to him, and at this point she was pretty sure he
was the only one she didn't have to worry about. Sure he'd do well, but he at least wouldn't rub it in her face, or target her. Or
at least she didn't think he would.

She smirked “Them being hung over will just give us an edge.” she told him before returning her attention to her food. She'd
gotten a few more bites into her burger when she heard her name again, and turned to see Evie plopping down next to her. She
glanced at Kobe. It was no secret Evie and Kobe didn't exactly see eye-to-eye, and she wasn't Evie's biggest fan either, but the
girl had grown on her over the years. She was like a ball of sunshine and happiness, and at times reminded Kenzie of the
Amity, but she could tolerate Evie in small doses. “Hey.” she said tonelessly looking back to Evie, noticing her two pieces of
cake. “Yeah, well when you're up all night, high on sugar, try not to wake us up, will ya?” she teased.

Kenzie couldn't help but laugh some when Evie went on about the cake. She couldn't deny though that she was on the same
page with the other girl. The Dauntless made the best cake, that was for damn sure. She shrugged some when Evie
mentioned Aria. The girl was quiet... Too quiet for Dauntless, but at least she didn't get on Kenzie's last nerve like other kids
she grew up did. “Ugh. Pass.” she said when Evie mentioned meeting some of their competition. She already had, and there
was nothing impressive about it. “Already met two girls from Candor. Neither of them will make it past week two, if even that.
And one of them kept going on about some older dude she was looking for. So annoying.
” she told her. “Really Evie, there's no
point. I didn't see much competition on the roof. There is no point to meet them; not when they're just going to be gone soon
anyways.
