Who would have thought that the world would eventually fall into the clutches of the undead?
Life is such an odd thing, it's curious and interesting, dramatic yet peaceful, safe but dangerous. What if all of the balance in the world was tipped upside down into a world full of pessimistic views...a world where the dead roamed and fed off the living. Well that's what has happened. No more interesting, safe, peaceful.... all the good has been drained from this new world, now it's all survival of the fittest.
At the beginning of the outbreak everyone was oblivious to the events that were soon to be unfolded at pushed upon them, the horrors and traumatic events that awaited them. Little is known to how this started nor is there any cure to this outbreak, no way of reversing the virus that has infected everyone. Yes everyone has the virus. As soon as this horrible epidemic broke out thousands were lost within a matter of days, Military could not keep the infection under control nor kill many of the walkers in time. Many had either turned into these walkers or they had been eaten alive, some even took their own lives. The end of the world does many things to people. Loved ones, family, friends, work colleges, people you grew up with, gone. Survival is a very difficult thing to do, with everything that has happened.
The news of this virus being contagious was not well known, it happened all too quickly for many to even discover this was the case. It had spread like wild fire and eliminated many it it's path. Everyone carries it but it does not kill you if you do not die, simple right? Wrong! One bite, or scratch from a walker can get into your bloodstream thus your body starts dying. Starting with weakness, a high temperature, Your bones become frail to the point you cannot move, you cough up blood. And that is if the bite or scratch is not fatal (if it's a bite or scratch on the arm), It is a very common fate now. Safety precautions had been set into action immediately, as if to contain the spreading of the epidemic, and yet incidences about corpses re-animating foiled all hope of a quarantine zone. Military had broadcasted civilians to come to Atlanta where a safe zone had been set up, to keep humanity safe and prevent this thing from spreading further. Though the attempts failed. Atlanta had become one of the most walker infested places, many had succumbed to death. Populated areas were hit the hardest and the fastest; then it just spread out from the most populated places eventually becoming a danger everywhere. Slowly, the human race began to diminish in both strength and numbers, succumbing to their fate. As time ticked by days, weeks, months and even a year things had gotten worst, people turned against each other, families were broken apart, friendships torn apart, humanity against each other. As they say survival of the fittest.
One man, has taken the weight of the world onto his shoulders. Once a sheriff in a small town, now turned into a leader trying to keep the living alive and safe and keep the dead...well dead. Rick Grimes, a man who has morals strong like an ox and a determination for good to still burn on in this current time. The man had awoken from a coma when all of this started, determined to find his wife and son which led him to a decent sized group of survivors just outside of Atlanta. Though it didn't stay like that long, many were lost as expected, His wife being one of them. The group grew close and now the tight band group considers each other family, so if a death happens it is a terrible loss and emotionally effects the group. Now Rick has managed to form a small community at a Prison, having cleared the walker's roaming the halls and rooms even the cells, many people stay here now. Civilization has been restored in a sense. Gaining this small community was not easy though, they had faced many dangers and even living threats. A small town known as Woodbury which was run by a dashing man who went by The Governor. This man had become a serious threat to Rick's group, but eventually Rick's group won the war. Woodbury had been destroyed and many of the innocent survivors now live with the Prison group. More and more responsibility is resting on this Ex-cop's shoulders, Is he the leader the living need? Are they truly safe? Are there more dangers out there? Are there others out there? More survivors or communities? Bad people? Good people?
Everyone is trying to survive this world, live a full healthy life and overcome this walker infested hell called life. The slightest of hope to regain the life before all of this keeps most going, will that ever happen?
We will have to wait and see...
