"Who my family is doesn't define who I am"
Slytherin

Luciana shook her head. She hadn't meant to wake him, she'd hoped to just go back to sleep like she usually did. "Nothing, it's fine." Luciana said quietly as she pushed some hair behind her ear. "I just had a nightmare, I'm fine." Luciana assured him as she rested her forehead against the side of his neck. "Sorry I woke you, didn't mean to." Luciana said as she closed her eyes again. She hated having to think about the nightmares, having to replay them in her head. Instead she wanted to just forget the nightmare and move on.

Scorpius nodded slowly, then laid down on the couch, pulling her gently with him. He used his arm as a pillow for her, and rested his head on the arm rest. He slid his other arm around her and pulled her against his chest, kissing her forehead before closing his eyes once more. He didn't want to pry. Not yet anyway. Obviously she didn't want to remember. "I'm here if you need me." He whispered, and then the words flowed from his lips once more, "I love you."

Luciana simply nodded, glad he wasn't about to pry. "Love you too," she whispered as she watched the fire flicker. The fire reminded her of her nightmare and she pushed down the urge to shudder. Her mother had once assured her that her grandfather was never getting out of Azkaban but she often wondered if Aunt Lucinda told her mother the same thing when Granddad Dolohov was locked up the first time. It seemed possible, especially since he'd been guaranteed to never get out then as well. But if he'd escaped once, what was to stop him from escaping again? It was that thought that had forever plagued her. The fear that he'd come back and kill her and everyone close to her.

"You sure you're okay, babe?" Scorpius mumbled sleepily, his eyes still closed yet he laid there patiently, waiting for a reply, before he drifted off completely. His arms were still around her like a giant teddy bear.

Luciana didn't reply. Was she ever really okay? So long as her grandfather was still alive she was in danger. He'd threatened to kill her for disgracing the family name. How could she be okay? She could fake it well, she'd been doing it for years. But at night when she saw his face in her dreams it was rather hard to fake that she was okay. Most of the girl's in her dorm had gotten really good at sleeping through the screams and the panic attacks. A few still knew about them but they chose to keep their mouths shut for a very good reason. She demanded it, no one was to know that somewhere deep down the tough girl they knew had a weakness. Instead she just hid it and pretended her life was fine. Something she'd keep doing, Scorpius had secrets and she'd have some too.

Scorpius frowned and opened his eyes, looking down at her. "Lucy?" He murmured, concerned. "If you want me to drop it I will..." He said quietly, though his eyes showed his concern for her and that even if she told him to drop it, he still wouldn't stop worrying about her. What was going on that she wouldn't tell him? Why did she wake up in a cold sweat and screaming?

Luciana just stared at the fire. "It's fine just drop it." Luciana said in a voice that sounded harsh even to her own ears. "Sorry, I just don't want to talk about." Luciana said in a nicer tone as she watched the flames flicker. As much as it reminded her of her dreams it also kept her calm. The way the flames danced always amazed her. It reminded her of the way something so destructive could be so graceful. She often stared at water the same way, wondering how anything destructive could be graceful. It always seemed strangely ironic to her how that worked.

"All right... sorry..." He murmured, then rested his head near hers and closed his eyes, unsure of how to go about discovering her secret, but letting it drop for now. He would let her think, he would let her deal with it. She didn't need him. She had lived this far without his help, she could keep going. He closed his eyes and let sleep take him once more, though he continued to hold her comfortingly close.

Luciana sighed slightly wishing she could tell him. But every thing inside of her was screaming at her not to. The fears were her own, fears she'd been dealing with since she was young. She couldn't bring it on herself to dump her fears on him. That wouldn't be fair to him, nor would it erase her own fears. Nothing could erase her fears except her granddad being declared dead in Azkaban, only that would rid her of the nightmares. Or so she hoped, it was hard to say what was needed to help her get rid of the nightmares that plagued her.
((Some times I'm so lazy, text only.))
Erkamina sighed as she put aside the last of the assignments she had to grade. A first year's assignment, barely passible by her standards but the assignment was more lax than her standards allowed so she gave it a slightly higher mark. She put a hand to her forehead and massaged it, a slight bit of tension seemed to building. She tapped her desk with her wand, a small spark of light being the only thing lighting the room went out. She lifted herself out of her chair and stumbled through the room, feeling for an opening. Finding it wasn't easy but she was soon tapping the bricks and stones of the walls. She found another opening, her own area that was password protected just as the common rooms were. "Deimeta" She whispered, having made up a word for the password. She'd change it at least twice before next month, if not by the end of the week. Each time it was a different word that she made up to mean nothing of particular interest but making up words also came with a price. She ended up saying them eventually by accident then she'd have to change her password. The stairs appeared from behind the door, a flickering light coming from the fireplace. She let out a yawn before silently thanking the elves for tending her fire. She drifted into the separate bedroom, just big enough for her to be comfortable, and fell onto the bed, her wand falling out of her hand with the shock and onto the floor with a wooden clank.
((We can skip to morning or something... And her word doesn't mean anything that I know of. It may but I am assuming that if it does whomever will forgive my error. I guess that's good for now. Once again, I'm sorry for being lazy.))
