┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓
"Well, here we are. Omega--a nice, educational haven for the naive, and a convenient tourist spot for criminals. Where dremas come to end....'Be sure to bring a pistol' indeed--music's nice though," stated in Drell in a dry, rather unamsed tone...Lawless as this place was, the intense music coming from the area known as 'Afterlife' in front of them...almost seemed like a decent place to keep themselves underneath the radar. Sevral of the members were here, and each one of them knew how to take care of themselves...

....But if there was a lesson to be learned when on this crew and missions..If you had it, bring it; Some folks over here were packing heat, and not just discreetly. Despite his feelings over this dull-colored rock, they were still here, and moving closer and closer into this area.

To summarize, he just had a VERY bad feeling about this place. Like there was just something around the corner waiting to put a knife down his spine...And with the rumors of a high death rate, a cutthroat 'ruler' and with some of the worst finding refuse here, was it any SURPRISE that no one dared to tread so lightly here.

"So, uh, to make light conversation guys...I hear that this place is owned by somebody who shouldn't be ******** with...and that if you so much as look at her wrong, there's a bullet waiting for our head. So forgive me for being obvious but," responded the Drell as he briefly gazed upon the letters of the nightclub, "...The plan is to find Skipper WITHOUT attracting the attention of whoever this person may be, correct?"

" Kill, or kill lots.
There is no try.
~ Krogan Shaman

┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Was Thinking About: Nothing to report, really.

After the situation was...died down, as you'd call it, Krogan made his way out of the shuttle bay and down to his hidden little room beneath the stairs that led to the engine room. From there he moved to the crate he'd stored there with the crate lids leaned against it, and began 'folding' them out to make his bed. From there he removed an oddly intricate quilt from the crate's own lid and wrapped it around himself with care, stroking tenderly the parts which fell upon his shoulder. He looked around the little hide-y hole, lit only by (oddly) a lava lamp, it's orange blobs bubbling up and down in a way that reminded the behemoth of those purple jell-o things on the Citadel. Hanar, he believed...but more importantly the color reminded him of-

"Omega..."

There was no look of joy on his face, not even that he could hide behind a smile. He did a great deal to escape from all of that, and now they were going back?! he shifted uncomfortably before rocking over and onto his side atop his makeshift mattress, staring at that lava lamp...he could practically HEAR the beat coming from that place, as his eyelids flickered a bit before closing.

He was roused by the call to shore, as he removed the quilt with great care and took the time to fold it carefully before placing it atop the crate's lid...but ignored moving the crate lid mattress as he clambered out of his little nest, claymore in one hand, rifle in the other...though the latter he slung over his shoulder as he reached the squad and stepped out, hesitantly back onto the place he hoped never to go back to, and replaced his beaming smile with a scowl that would scare even a Yarg, if only for the fact it was NOT like him. As they made there way towards Afterlife, that BEAT emanating from it, the SAME beat, all the time. This made that scowl of his get even WORSE, as he lumbered to the front of the group, giving Nali a look that was pretty hard to describe...before turning to the right and lumbering towards the marketplace and the lower levels. He had a plan.

If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

                  [kitties!]Who, Aria? Nah, she's cuddly.

[kitties!]Listening to Otium, it was clear he'd never been to Omega before. Everyone who came to Omega either already knew of Aria or they were taught. A year ago, Nali probably would've found it endearing and chuckled a snarky comment or two, the asari really didn't feel like it. "That somebody is also probably the only one on this rock we can trust at the moment," the maiden spoke over her shoulder, only raising her volume once they stepped through the doors and the music was no longer muffled and the lights were nicely everywhere, "She's not fond of the Dark Moons, and she knows that's not us, so chances are Aria won't turn us in. She doesn't need to turn us in, so as long as no one threatens her life--or her throne--I think we're okay. Besides, if Skipper is here, she'll know."

[kitties!]As soon as she got close enough to Afterlife, she noticed the large line (which seemed more mob-ish than anything else), and Nali grimaced. They must've been full up or something because they didn't seem to be letting anyone in. Well...talking to Aria could wait until later. They still needed to see about getting some money, especially if they were going to accommodate for the "new" people (namely Skipper and Velorix). Over her shoulder, she saw Krogan heading toward the marketplace already. Maybe he had some idea of what they could do until the line in front of Afterlife could thin out.

[kitties!]"We can talk to Aria later. For now, listen for any bounties or other opportunities. We need the money, and I'm sure there's someone here who's willing to pay for our skills."

"I reckon we should set a vending machine on fire and toss it out the window! Viva la Resistance!"

Ah wonderous, cramped, smelly Omega. Still despite its lackluster conditions it was by far the safest place for The Amazon crew at this moment. Veronica had suited up and joined the rest of the shore party. They walked into the Afterlife hopfully to find some infomation about their beloved and msising Captain Skipper, Veronica couldn't help but notice that Krogan had wandered off into the marketplace. Meh he'd be fine. The moment they stepped into the main area Veronica was blasted in the face by the loud music. She eventually adjusted though even subtly tapping along to the beat.

The plan WAS to talk to Aria and potentially learn about the Captain, but their efforts were hindered by a line. Nali however had a backup plan! Wait for any potential bounties or whatever, for financial gain! Veronica nodded to Nali and hopped into a nearby empty seat and began the task of descreetly listening in on many random conversations.

If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

[kitties!]As they passed through the doors to the nearest market area of Omega, Nali (as usual) heard the voice of her favorite batarian carrying over the heads of a few humans gathered around the crate on which he was standing. Complaining about humans, of course. Again. What surprised her, however, were the references he was using to defame the entire human race.

[kitties!]"...ose Dark Moons are trying to start themselves up on Omega again! You've all heard the news! Run by a human! Humanity is a blight on the galaxy! Owyn Skipper is a blight on the galax--"

[kitties!]Before he could finish that last word, Nali had approached his little pedestal and swung her leg out to sweep the batarian's out from under him, the man making a nice thud against the ground and a pained grunt. Ah, after so many years of having to hear him every time she passed by (which was quite often considering she was an unofficial "requisitions officer" for so long), it was kind of satisfying, and she relished the feeling for just a moment. Several of his little audience dispersed, some of them to carry on with their days, others just to watch from a distance.

[kitties!]"Where are they? The Dark Moons," Nali asked firmly, stepping closer to the fallen "prophet."

[kitties!]He tried to get up, but there must have been a certain look in the asari's eyes because he opted to stay down where he was. "Their old place!" he answered her quickly, "Blood Pack tried to reclaim the base, but the Dark Moons were already setting up again!"

[kitties!]Nali raised a brow, mulling the information over for a bit before turning around to the rest of the party, a certain fire of excitement in her eyes. "Sounds like we should check it out," she said, lightly scratching at a sudden itch up near the scar by her brow, "Make the galaxy a little brighter and all." Sure, it was for the galaxy. It had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that she never wanted to see that green armor again.

J A S K--------------------------------

As soon as they exited the shuttle bay doors, Jask had been looking around the area in interest. He had never been there before, surprisingly, despite having been in the Blood Pack for most of his life; but he'd heard rumours of the place. From the krogan, whom he'd overheard talk about how 'full of opportunity' the place was, and things like that. Glancing around, however, it definitely wasn't how he had pictured it to be. But it wasn't that bad. Albeit a little loud, thanks to that place that everyone seemed to be lining up to get into. Ah well, noise had never really bothered him before.

He glanced over at the large crowd of people who were waiting to get into that really loud place, an could just barely make out the voice of the elcor bouncer. From what he could tell, he was speaking to a disgruntled human, though whether the elcor was annoyed or not was hard to say. All he knew was, he liked it here. It wasn't nearly as 'orderly' as some of the other places the crew had been to in the past, and that was oddly comforting to him; and he could feel his spirits heighten from how annoyed he had been back on the ship.

His attention was drawn back towards the others once again as he heard Nali make mention of the things they needed to do. He glanced around the crowd once again, and began following the rest of the crew towards the marketplace.

He stuck next to Veronica as they walked, and were soon greeted with another large crowd. This time they were crowding around a lone batarian, who seemed like he had a lot to say. A lot to say about humans. He narrowed his eyes towards the batarian, and watched him with slight intrigue before he was sent sprawling to the ground by a swift kick from Nali. She attempted to get information out of the batarian, who seemed only willing enough to give it to her. Well, that was easy. For someone who seemed to talk so much, the batarian didn't seem that willing to defend himself when he was questioned. The vorcha looked own at him, and gave him a light kick before following off after the others again. Sounded like they had somewhere to go now.

Velorix instinctively reached for his hood as they entered Omega and pulled it over his head, hoping the shadows would conceal his identity. It was a longshot considering his scars and glowing eye, but far better than simply strutting around and announcing his identity to everyone. "Hey, look at me! I'm a fugitive! Turn me in for more credits than your uneducated criminal asses can count!" Yeah... no. He's rather remain at least somewhat anonymous, no matter how terrible his current "disguise" was. Velorix's face fell when the shore party approached Afterlife to find the long line, and when Nali suggested finding something to do the ex-Spectre agreed wholeheartedly. The Amazon's crew really needed the extra credits for supplies, or else they wouldn't last much longer against the galaxy.

He followed the group into the markets and vaguely wondered if he could find a model ship for his old quarters, but the voice of a familiar Batarian broke through his train of thought. Eye glowing slightly under his good, the Turian turned his head to stare at the "prophet" as soon as the Moons were mentioned. This guy again. Normally Velorix ignored all the anti-human propaganda but when Owyn Skipper's name came from that filthy mouth, he stepped forward to confront the Batarian. Nali beet him to the metaphorical punch by tripping the b*****d (Whilst Vel would have introduced him to Lucy), and he glared as the alien cowered.

'Greg' spilled the beans rather quickly and Nali's comment barely registered in the Turian's brain. In a sudden renegade-like impulse he grabbed the so-called prophet by the collar of whatever he was wearing and leaned in close so he could see Velorix's nasty scars and robotic eye. "If you ever mention Owyn Skipper in your rants again, you will lose the ability to speak. I'll see to that myself" A low growl came from the shadows of the hood and he turned away to begin walking, casting a brief glance at Nali. "Let's go kill some Moons."

Was Thinking About: Grumble Grumble...

He was ignoring the others as they seemed to follow him anyways, perhaps if he picked up his speed he'd lose them in the crowd that had gathered around that crazy batarian...really? He was still standing in that same place after, what, two years? He ignored his insane comments...Dark Moons...Owyn Skipper...He knew the names, he worked with the crew, but they'd STILL yet to have any real meaning to the krogan, so- he ever so casually pushed a path through the crowd, knocking some people down and continued indifferently on his way, until he heard raised voices and someone falling.

To this he slowly turned about with a small bit of curiosity: Nali had knocked the batarian from his box, muttered something about old base...blah blah...the turian did something to the Batarian next, wasn't interested...something about killing though, as the turian past the others and Nali, making his way towards the krogan. To this the nameless behemoth jerked his head sharply to the side to crack and loosen his neck, rolled his shoulder, and rested his claymore on his shoulder, "Fine, kill your enemies then get credits...Let's make this quick and painful." If you thought he couldn't be scowling even more?

You were wrong. With this he turned and strode alongside Velorix, with the strange mood to be wearing custom made sunglasses.

If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

[kitties!]For a moment, Nali was walking alone, so she looked back to see Jask walking away from the vorcha for some reason and was happy to find that she'd turned around just in time to watch Velorix' bit. Good to know she wasn't the only one who disliked the ranting batarian, even if Velorix was just doing it because he was smearing Skipper's name. She would need to come back once everything is settled, just to see the look on his face when the batarian would learn that Skipper--and the rest of them--were framed. So glad I didn't kill him last time I was here.

[kitties!]Soon enough, though, the group had made their way out of the marketing area and past the club (where the line was still more monstrous than any krogan she'd ever seen) to reach the shuttle lot tucked away in that little corner. Or perhaps it just seemed like it was tucked away because it was so easy for one's attention to get snagged on the colorful Afterlife. Either way, Nali approached another batarian, this one nowhere near as loud. In fact, she almost wouldn't have seen him if he hadn't looked so bored. Hey, wasn't this the same batarian who took them last time?

[kitties!]"We're trying to pay a visit to the Dark Moons trying to set up again in the old Blood Pack territory," Nali said, patting her M-5 when she saw the slightest bit of suspicion in the batarian's eyes, "Welcome them back into the neighborhood and everything. You know where it is?"

[kitties!]"West Omega. Yeah, I can take you there. Someone'll have to follow in another shuttle, though, if you're all coming."

[kitties!]That was good enough for Nali, so she turned and found Velorix in the party. "We can split into two groups for the ride there, then. Doesn't really matter who's in which shuttle since we're all going to the same place, but it's probably best for everyone if I don't drive. You wanna go ahead and drive the second shuttle? You know, at least so you're not lying across everyone's laps this time?" the lady asked, thinking back to the first time they had to squeeze into the same shuttle on their way to fight the Dark Moons for the first time. Oh, if they only knew then how big this was...

[kitties!]Either way, it seemed that Nali was in a better mood. Maybe it was because they were going to beat up some Dark Moons or the idea that they were going to find Skipper soon. She just knew it, and everything was going to be fine again. Or maybe it was just because Omega generally put Nali in a better mood.

Velorix eyed the long lineup outside Afterlife and sighed as he followed Nali. Oh, how he wished he could simply tell the bouncer he was on "Spectre business" and be let in right away, but that wouldn't work nowadays. Instead the Turian had to wait around for the crowd to die down, though he couldn't complain since he was about to pass the time by killing Dark Moons. It was about time he got some action around here after spending one year inside Purgatory. Boring and hellish it was, but too far away to bother Velorix.

With his hood up and mostly concealing his face, the Infiltrator stood back and let Nali do all of the talking. She was still technically the Captain after all, and it would be stupid of him to assume leadership simply because he'd returned. Besides, last time Velorix checked, he'd been second-in-command before leaving for the Dark Moons mission with Faust and Skipper. After Nali had a brief chat with the shuttle driver, she mentioned having a second shuttle followed. Her following comment brought an awkward smile to his face-- y'know, with his non-human features and all-- and Velorix proceeded to get into the other shuttle.

The Turian winked at his Asari friend. "Hey, it was pretty comfortable back there. You didn't see me complaining."

And so they walked. and walked. Then went past Afterlife. Then walked some more. At this point the nameless behemoth didn't care, he seemed almost in a trance with his scowl, which sent a salarian cowering out of their way...couldn't blame him really.

When the group reached the shuttles, Krogan stood towering infront at Nali's side and seemed to wake up a bit at the words 'Blood Pack, and gave a quick look to both sides before focusing back on looking big and scary. He ignored Nali and Vel's exchange of banter about their past activities and lumbered to the second shuttle, banging his head a good two times before just crawling in, laying in the back on his side, legs scrunched in slightly. To this he let out a sigh of comfort, before rolling onto his back to look at the others with a blank stare as he checked to see if there was a thermal clip in his claymore...

Empty. Of course.

From here began a slow and awkward scene of the Krogan fumbling to get his rifle off his back, taking the clip out of it, and sliding it into the shotgun and then getting the rifle back to it's place...alright maybe not too comfortable.

Veronica hadn't been able to pick up much from the conversations she had been listening in on , so she eventually left the area and entered the Market area along with enveryone else. They found a Batarian who looked oddly familiar and were told that in order to complete their task at end, a shuttle trip was required but there were two many people for one shuttle, so the crew needed to figure out who was bunking with who, what fun! Veronica remained silent for the most part like she did whenever there was a mission going on. Hopefully the shuttle trip would the last thing for the crew to do before finding their beloved Captain, and hey, maybe if luck was on their side things would go smoothly for once! Very little gunfire, no bad guys to shoot, an easy route to whereever they needed to go... luck was such a lair.

When the bored-looking batarian had said that they would need to take two separate shuttles to get to the Dark Moons base, he glanced around at the others for a moment. The batarian was driving one, and Velorix was driving the other and following behind. He quickly decided to go with Velorix and glanced for a moment at Krogan trying to squeeze his way into the shuttle. It was actually kind of amusing watching the behemoth try and fit himself into such a little space; and Jask quickly followed after him. He looked into the shuttle momentarily for somewhere he would be able to fit, before climbing in and taking the first place he could get.

Cramped. He looked out the still-open shuttle door towards the others, then back to where he was sitting and narrowed his eyes slightly. He wanted to explore more of this place. He'd heard a lot of mixed things about Omega. Some said it was a great place to be, and others wanted nothing to do with it. But from what he'd seen so far, it was interesting at least. He hoped that they would get to wherever this base was relatively quickly, and do what needed to be done there.

If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

[kitties!]As soon as everyone had placed themselves into the shuttles, Nali chuckled at their turian's comment, and they were off toward the base. It took just a little longer than she'd remembered, but when they got there, the team filed out of the vehicles where they were greeted by a single human guard with an assault rifle. Really?

[kitties!]"H-hey, you're not supposed to be here!"

[kitties!]Nali was about to go deal with him, but she was promptly stopped by the driver, something about a tip. Grimacing a little, she relinquished a few credits and started to walk away before the batarian pointed out they'd taken two shuttles.

                  [kitties!]"Halt! I'll shoot!"

[kitties!]The man took a threatening step forward, but he didn't get very close to the group before he was lifted into the air and hurled into the wall behind him before falling back down to the ground with a nice thud and maybe a crack. The asari turned back to the driver and begrudgingly gave up a few more credits. "Enjoy our food money," Nali grumbled to the man and turned back to the hideout. To be honest, it wasn't much of a hideout since everyone seemed to know where it was. Perhaps that was just how cocky they were, but considering the guard didn't even seem to recognize them...Nali wondered if they were actually reclaiming the base under orders or if they were just doing it on their own for some brownie points.

[kitties!]"Let's do this quickly, then," Nali said, looking over the building one more time before heading in through the entrance. Just a hallway with several doors lined along the walls, but one difference she noticed was that soon after they'd entered the building, red lights by the ceiling began flashing in unison with an annoying buzzing sound blaring overhead. The mercs were coming. Everything had pointed to this group being small, but better safe than sorry. With their lack of updated equipment and morale, the last thing they needed right now was for someone to get seriously hurt or more seriously dead.

[kitties!]"They're coming to greet us, and there's not much cover in a hallway, but there's a room up ahead. Let's get in there and give 'em a bit of a surprise party," Nali suggested before they eventually funneled into the room she'd mentioned. As usual, crates and waist-high walls provided a good amount of cover for the group just as several mercs entered the room from the other side and started firing on them. The maiden quickly ducked behind one of the little walls, but after hearing a familiar slamming sound coming across the floor, she was soon knocked back out of cover by a Shockwave thrown by another asari in green armor. Once she shook her head and gathered herself again, she smirked at how flimsy the attack was and gifted the Dark Moons asari with her own Shockwave before ducking behind cover once again.
