"Uh, yes. I hear that, g-money." responded a hesitant Aris, briefly looking to the sides, as he briefly rose his right fist in confusion. Unsure of what to make the Krogan's response, the Drell merely just stared at the Krogan in near-silence, his belief at the sudden situation nearly shattered.

Using what the humans would call 'slang'? Krogan were kind of anti-social when compared to the other species, believing in strength..above all else. BUT perhaps this was a new way for the Krogan to express themselves--or perhaps it was too strange to be true. But as the drell breifly swore to the goddess of oceans not for this situation to be any more awkward...

...At least they were talking.

Goddess of oceans....that's how Krogan address their associates nowadays? I never would have known. But, if such a thing is true, I find it intriguing. But back to the subject.

"What can I say,"Aris responded with a brief shrug, "I have a tendency to refuse people who sucker-punch me get away with it for long. But enough about me. I uh, never got your name, uh...uh.....What do I call you?" questioned the Drell as he rose his head to face the Krogan known as 'Krogan', unbeknownst to Aris.

If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

[kitties!]With a sigh, she looked at the others who'd gathered in the shuttle bay. A couple of them knew who Velorix was, but the newer ones...not so much. Nali was about to speak up and let them in on that little bit of relief she'd found when she heard a ping coming from her wrist. A message. Wondering what it could've been, the asari brought her omni-tool up and spotted a new message from the kitchen. Why would they send her a written message rather than just calling her over the c--oh.

                  [kitties!]Happy feeling gone.

[kitties!]"Oh, good, food rations are minimized again until we can scrounge up more supplies," Nali sighed aloud, her right hand coming up to massage her brow as she kept her eyes on the message. And they'd just gotten a new person aboard, too. Fortunately, there weren't too many dextro-based crew members (in relation to the levo-amino members, at least), so it wasn't going to be too hard to squeeze him in at the dinner table, but it seemed like this news had come along just to test her nerves. Things were going to look better in the near future, but they were going to get there with grumbling tummies, it seemed. Ugh. There was a human show with starships that had--what were they called?--replicators that could make food appear out of thin air. Why didn't they have those? [********' fiction.

[kitties!]Another ping. It was clearly from Lyrana, addressed to...oh, Nali didn't pay attention to the name. It was some name Lyrana had made up for her in case someone had decided to intercept their mail. If asked about it, her sister would probably just make a story up about how she got some of her people to try to look for the infamous Amazon or something. Maybe Lyrana had predicted their predicament and had some supplies for them to pick up. Hope once again!

[kitties!]Alera. Hope your search is going well. They have tightened most of the security fronts here on Illium, including communications, so if you send me a message and I do not reply in a timely fashion, that is probably why. I shall try to find another way to keep contact since I am restricted to Illium because of what my damn sister has done, but hopefully this will all be over soon. I have also just received word that Owyn Skipper's accomplice Velorix Arkasus has escaped from Purgatory. Roderick Faust is already on it, but keep an eye out for him, too. He will probably find his way back to the Amazon. Oh, and do try to bring Nali and the others back alive so the courts can deal with them, but if it cannot be helped, then it cannot be helped. -Lyrana Til

                  [kitties!]...

                  [kitties!]NO ******** WORDS.

[kitties!]"I...need to get to the mess hall and discuss this food thing with them," Nali finally spoke, trying her hardest to keep her head on. Their one supplier had just practically closed up shop right when they were reaching the end of their provisions. People were already splitting MREs, including the vintage ones (which were still edible, by the way) Nali had been saving. Their late mess sergeant had a talent for taking nothing and making something, but the boy who'd stepped up to replace her...he was just out of training when everything had gone down and was used to feeding himself, but his talent had never extended past the directions on the back of a box...

Was Thinking About: Nothing to report, really.

The already big krogan raised his head and tilted it slightly to the side as he looked down on the Drell with a wicked grin on his face. G-money? That was just silly. He shook his head like a dog again when the green alien inquired as to his name, in which case he shrugged,"What do you want to know? Clan Name? Or just Actual Name? What about Ship Name? Or Birth Ship Name? Errr...just the first two. Right." another shake of this head, that one in nervousness as he moved his gaze over to Nali- the happy look of her reunion dying from her eyes and face, and he in tern frowned before going back to the Drell:

"I am just Krogan, brother. No clan. No name. Just. Krogan. You are Drell. Otium. Name told by the Brown Crested Betrayer." his mind growled at Duncan's actual name...though apparently he was actually growling as well, fist punching an extended claw again unconsciously and in a most fittingly Krogan manner,"So you may call me Krogan. As does everyone- Ignore the War Totem in my armor. IGNORE IT." the teddy bear again appeared, the tag on it's neck visible, as he fumbled to conceal it again, though this time all he really did was keep squeaking it in his attempt to hide it unharmed.

J A S K--------------------------------

The vorcha glanced up when he heard the soft ping sound from Nali's omnitool. He knew that sound by now. The sound of an incoming message; and while it wasn't the sound in particular that irritated him, it was more the prospect of what the sound was bringing. Usually now when they received a message, it wasn't anything good. At least, that had been the trend the passed couple of months, and he narrowed his eyes at the thought of them receiving even more bad news.

He glanced at Nali as she read over her messages, looking none-too-happy about them, and a sudden rush of aggravation washed over him. Ever since she had become captain all that time ago, it seemed that things had been constantly going downhill. Though he had only been with the crew for a short time while Skipper was still in charge, at least the human seemed to have a better grasp on what they were going to do when it came to certain situations. This asari, Nali, sometimes seemed as if she didn't even want to be the captain. Which, unbeknownst to him, was probably the case. Still it annoyed him; and he found himself questioning the reason she had been made captain in the first place!

His thoughts were confirmed when he heard the mention of the food rations being minimized again, and he couldn't help but fight back a feral growl. He wasn't sure why, but for some reason Nali and himself had never really gotten along. Not that it bothered him. In all honesty, he could care less about whether or not the asari liked him. But for whatever reason, they just didn't get along. And in that moment his pent up aggression towards the asari snapped, and he hissed at her and took a threatening step forward.

"Asari!" He barked, narrowing his eyes dangerously at her and hopefully calling her attention to him. "You not fit to be leader!" He declared, pointing at her in anger. "Lost too much because of you." He finished with a snarl.

Perhaps it was just all the stress of the past year catching up to him, or a multitude of things like losing Duncan, and being on the run, and having to constantly watch their backs. But nonetheless, he'd had enough of her.

If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

                  [kitties!]Hiss.

[kitties!]"Asari! You not fit to be leader! Lost too much because of you."

[kitties!]Nali eyes snapped over to the vorcha who...probably hadn't taken a stance as threatening as she saw it, but in the heat and stress of the moment she wasn't sugar-coating anything. No, she wasn't fit to be the leader. She knew they'd lost a lot under her command. The asari, again, was no stranger to loss, but she'd always blamed herself for it. Hell, it was one of the reasons she was such a b***h a lot of times. Now, as the leader of this little ragtag group of outlaws, she wasn't the only one who was pointing fingers at her for things that, really, were out of her control. The vanguard knew this was going to be a possibility as soon as the Amazon had been placed in her hands. She'd never wanted to be a leader, and she would've gladly given it up as soon as they were no longer officially under Union command, but people had seemed to come to trust her for some goddess-forsaken reason, so she'd kept it. Now...

[kitties!]Still no words. She and Jask had been doing their best since day-one (or rather, since Skipper told her she wasn't allowed to shoot him) to avoid each other. Rationally speaking, the only reason the vorcha had been saying these things was that tension was already high, she probably wasn't supposed to have said that food bit aloud before learning more about the situation, and they'd just never gotten along in the first place. Stress was high, hence his outburst. ...and hence her retaliation.

[kitties!]Something was choking her. Perhaps it was all the things the maiden wanted to say, to call this vermin every racial slur in the book/database/whatever. Since they couldn't come out in the form of words, however, her fists clenched at her sides. After having to remind herself that they needed to conserve ammo, biotic energy burst around her hands just before she thrust one toward the vorcha and he was sent flying into the wall behind him. Apparently, she'd been trying to conserve her own energy to some extent since the hit couldn't have done more than disorient the vorcha, but Nali still stepped forward again, pulling her fist back, this time for a good ol' fashioned punch. Before it could move too far forward, however, it got snagged on...something. Someone was holding her back in spite of her struggles.

                  [kitties!]"Lemme go!" Nali growled.

"I reckon we should set a vending machine on fire and toss it out the window! Viva la Resistance!"

Jask didn't say much but immediatly brought Velorix' return to her attention. She smiled and nodded " I know " She said softly, he was busy talking to Nali so she didn't want to get in the way. She was still glad to have the ol' sharpshooter back, any potential enemies that come looking for a scrap should beware, for none of their heads will remain unplugged. he looked back at Jask again remaining silent, he seemed to be taking things pretty well, or maybe he was just that good at hiding it. Before the conversation could continue, Jask had taken a step forward in an agressive manner and Veronica watched curiously.

Jask wasn't happy, like eveyone else on the ship, but unlike everyone else he was unable to keep his displeasure to himself and began insulting Nali's leadership skills. Veronica sighed angrily the last thing the crew needed was to start fighting amongst eachother. She patted Jask on the shoulder " Jask calm- . She was cut off however and leapt back in shock when Jask was lifted off the ground and flung at a nearby. Veronica looked back at the now limp Jask, and then to the enraged Nali.

Veronica's own hands were glowing with Biotic energy as she stepped foward. She stared scowling at Nali. " Calm the [********] down. Things are bad enough as it is, you brawling and scrapping with Jask isn't going to solve anything!".

┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Was Thinking About: Nothing to report, really...just the usual case of Snuggles bursting out of Armor.

While stuffing the teddy bear back into his breastplate, he looked up to see Jask glowering at Nali, and that same look appeared on his face: He did NOT like where this was going. When the vorcha stepped forward and called Nali out on her Leadership however, that's where he took a step towards Otium (the bear could wait to be put away.) as if to move around to get to the Vorcha before they began doing anything stupi-

He found himself blinking idly as everything happened so quickly: Jask's comments...and it then turned out that it was the Blue Battlemaster who would do something stupid, by sending the vorcha flying across the shuttle bay and into a wall. What confused him still was how instinct made him push Otium (hopefully lightly) out of his way and let out a roar (maybe to snap her back to reality?) as someone grabbed Nali's wrist while Veronica stepped in to do the talking, to whom he gave a nod,"She's right, Battlemaster. No good comes from killing one's own Krantt!" instinct forced his hand to his claymore, the heavy gun extended and held in one hand idly pointed at the ground, a free hand pointed towards a certain crew member who was currently a small splatter stain on the wall,"Someone get him out of here for now, check for blunt force trauma."

He'd ignore his 'being stupid' clause for the present situation, as he looked back to the technicians in the area with a dark glare that must have said ''get back to work or I'll eat you'' before giving a nod to the Turian,"She said something about the mess hall. Take her there, make sure nothing happens." Sure it wasn't his place to give orders and he was probably the LAST person (or Alien...whatever.) in line for doing so, but as of that moment that wasn't on his mind. What was on his mind however, was a little bit of shame in Nali's actions coupled with anger, not just at what she just did but at Jask, at Duncan, and at various other people all at once, and he wasn't even hiding that anymore, his usual beaming smile was replaced with a menacing toothy scowl that befitted a pissed off krogan.

If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

[kitties!]A moment had barely passed when Veronica had stepped forward to intervene as well, giving Nali some time to cool off. Not too much, though, and definitely not enough, so instead of apologizing and explaining why she'd cracked under the pressure like a not crazy person would have done, she simply tore her arm from the grasp of whoever had been keeping her from landing another blow. "I don't need an escort," Nali spoke quietly in response to Krogan, obviously regretting her most recent action, though the expression's display was unintentional. Once freed, the angry asari stormed off and disappeared into the elevator and only emerged again when the lift reached the...captain's quarters.

[kitties!]Now more than ever, she hated this place. She was no captain, and she much rather preferred the cargo hold. Unfortunately, there were people there. Normally she didn't mind people, but she just didn't want them to see her acting like a child. It was bad enough that she didn't trust herself with leading these people, and it'd always been in the back of her mind that others had felt the same way, but Jask's voicing of the issue just struck a nerve. Even worse, Velorix had returned just in time to see her snap.

[kitties!]Ugh. He probably thinks I've been sick with power ever since they all left for Antirumgon. "No wonder things are as bad as they are now," he must think, Nali thought to herself, making her way over to the bed and flopping down onto the mattress. Her face hand landed directly into a pillow, and she only thought to rotate her head when it'd become really difficult to breathe. Her thoughts continued to spiral to the worse possibilities. She'd only been able to get along lately because she wasn't alone. With how poorly she'd just behaved, Velorix was probably going to mention to Skipper once he got back, and the entire crew would agree that they were gonna be better off without her on board.

[kitties!]The asari turned her face back into her pillow. "Dammit."

Velorix looked even more sad as Nali began listing the deceaced crew, but was surprised the doctor was on the list. It must have been Lerax and Kreen's other psycho experiments... "super" soldiers... His brow-plates lowered and he growled quietly at the thought of the Moons and all they'd done to him, Skipper, everyone on the ship. Every last one of them would pay, Velorix was positive. Even if it killed him in the process, Duncan and that damned Turian would die by his or Owyn's hand. Hopefully both of them.

He realized he'd been too deep in thought when tensions were finally snapped and Jask hissed something at Nali, to which he was tossed about. Luckily Veronica reacted fast enough to calm everyone down, and Velorix scolded himself for not paying attention. There was too much on his mind recently. Wasting time fighting, however, was not going to get things done. They needed Skipper, and where was the best place to hide from the government? Velorix had been there for a few years, doing missions here and there before joining the Union with Owyn...

The Turian brought up his omni-tool and accessed the ship's comm systems so his following announcement could be heard by everyone, not just people in the general vicinity. "Everyone, listen up." He took on a commanding tone, needing the entire crew to pay attention. "I know we're not doing so well, and we're terribly low on supplies, but I have a plan. We have to set things right again and make them the way they were before Duncan and his scum made us enemies of the galaxy, but for that... we'll have to find Skipper. We need him-- I need him-- to get us back in motion, and fighting each other won't help." The Infiltrator paused to look around and see if everyone was listening.

"We have to go to Omega."

Skipper? The first human sp..Omega.

Omega. From just socializing with Krogan, to a sudden, albeit brief skirmish with Nali, the others certainly acted accordingly. As he briefly moved towards the direction of the vorcha, who just had to be steaming himself...The Turian spoke. The human spectre on Omega, hiding. Obviously, Duncan's betrayal had hit them all hard, and perhaps Skipper himself was just licking his wounds. But for Nali to be rather relieved, and for him to be so calm and direct when inside of the ship...Oh, how'd he have to slap himself for not figuring it out sooner.

The second Spectre from the Amazon, breifly sent to that terror known as the Dark Moons Base. Perhaps he just left from there---Nonetheless, it wasn't a trip he'd be fond of remembering. Turning his head to face the turian, Aris merely sighed---He wasn't fond of it, and he damned sure didn't like it, but what other alternative was there?

J A S K--------------------------------

As soon as Jask felt himself being lifted off the ground, a cry of surprise escaped him, which was quickly replaced by a rush of adrenaline as he hit the wall. He was dazed for a brief moment, but more angered than anything else and quickly shook it off.

His line of vision snapped up to Nali and he growled as someone restrained her, and the others tried to talk some sense into her. He wasn't finished with her yet. But when Krogan called for someone to check him out, he quickly grunted in objection and pushed himself up.

"Not hurt." He told them, before Nali spoke up again and began making her way out of the room. As she did, Jask glared dangerously at her. If there was one thing he hated about the asari, it was that she never seemed to stick around for a fight. A quality he'd always thought a 'leader' should posses, but that might've just been his instinct talking. To him, it always seemed that the asari tried to avoid confrontation (with him at least). When he'd first arrived on the Amazon, she'd left. When he'd tried confronting her on The Lionheart, she'd left, and just now she'd left! He still had trouble understanding why people would just walk away from a fight.

His attention was called to Velorix though when he'd spoken up. It was probably a good thing that he was trying to call their attention back to the matter at hand. They still had a job to do, after all. Even if tensions were high on the ship right then. But the fact that Velorix seemed to have a plan boded well for him. Omega had been where he was trying to get too when he escaped the Blood Pack all that time ago, he was curious what it was like.

With Velorix seemingly taking charge of the situation now, Jask felt a lot better. But it didn't stop him from being annoyed at what had just happened. With a low grunt, the vorcha shook his head once again in irritation and wandered out of the room, heading for the mess hall once again.

If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

[kitties!]Nali kept her face in the pillow, breathing in the intolerably hot air just because she didn't feel like turning her head again. She'd almost fallen asleep, actually, something she hadn't been getting enough of during the past year before Velorix' voice came up over the ship's intercom. The asari was once again reminded how foolish she'd acted since he'd arrived, making her face go hotter. Still to hear someone else so sure that they were going to find Skipper and make everything right again helped. Others had been saying it, too, but her little, purple head had always been filled with paranoia, like they were only saying it to assure her but they didn't believe it. Velorix, on the other hand. It meant something to her that he would just swoop in with the same sentiment. Whoever said "swooping is bad," was high.

[kitties!]Finally, the maiden pushed herself up and her feet met the floor with a little tap. She knew she was going to have to face her crew--namely those who'd seen her little display of maturity--sooner or later, but it still felt like a weight had been lifted. Omega. Why the hell hadn't she considered that? They'd made a couple trips there for trading and such, but they'd never stayed there for too long. Those on the rock bore no loyalty to the Council, but there was no shortage of those who would think to turn them in for that reward and perhaps amnesty if they needed it.

[kitties!]"You heard the man," Nali patched herself into the cockpit, "Off to Omega."

[kitties!]Out of the room and into the mess hall, then! If they were going to Omega, she might as well let the kitchen know to hold off on minimizing the meal sizes. She had a few more things she could sell for food credits, and maybe if they were lucky, they could even hit a little bounty or two. Not themselves, of course, but chances are if one shot a person on Omega, someone else was willing to show thanks in form of moneys.

[kitties!]As she left the room and waited for the elevator, Nali tried to think of what else could go on that list of what to bring to the markets. Most of her personal items were already long gone, including that ancient hat Lyrana had given her just over a year ago. The elevator finally arrived for her by the time she figured she could sell some bedding, and they could just increase the temperature a little between day cycles...

[kitties!]The asari finally got down to the mess hall, but she probably shouldn't have been too surprised to see the vorcha already there. When they weren't slinging guns, he didn't really have a post on the ship, so a lot of it was free-time. Still, annoyed by the fates or the universe or the goddess or whatever was doing this to her, and crossed her arms over her chest.

[kitties!]"Jask," she'd finally worked up the nerve to say, but when the vorcha looked over to her--rather angrily, at that--Nali shifted her gaze to the side toward anything that wasn't...well...Jask. "You didn't do anything wrong. The year's been tough on everyone: you snapped and so did I. Duncan was allowed to betray us because I didn't see it coming. I get that, and I know you two were...close," the asari continued, though she wasn't sure about that last word considering all that'd happened, "Anyway, I know it doesn't make up for anything, but since it's my fault that all of this happened in the first place, when everything is fixed again, I'll see about getting that chocolate he owes you. With interest. After Skipper carves him a new one."

[kitties!]...she certainly hoped he wasn't expecting a straight-up apology because that was the closest she was going to get.

J A S K--------------------------------

Jask took his usual seat in the mess hall again, and just looked around at everyone in irritation. He sometimes wished that this place was a little more like the Blood Pack. At least there, he could vent his frustration without getting in trouble for it. He growled to himself, thinking back to what just happened; and to be honest, he'd been a little relieved at the prospect of a fight. It would've helped him get some of his aggression out, but instead, once again, these guys insisted on 'talking things out'.

He growled in annoyance when he heard Nali's voice, and turned to look at her with agitation. She was definitely the last person he wanted to see at that moment. He'd come to the mess hall so he didn't have to be with the others right then, and he wondered how the asari had managed to find him so quickly. He didn't take into account the fact that he always somehow managed to come back there.

Anyways, he listened to the asari speak and couldn't help but feel that irritation from before quickly begin to surface again. He didn't think vorcha solved their problems in the same ways that humans, or asari, or drell, or turians, or the majority of the races on the ship did. Talking usually did little to soothe them, and his eyes narrowed more as she continued to speak. She mentioned Duncan, and he exhaled harshly through his nose. Despite what the human had done, he sometimes still missed his company. He had been pretty fun to hang around with. He made a groaning sound of agitation, and was just about to tell her to go away when she mentioned that she would try and replace the chocolate that Duncan had owed him, and he sat up a little straighter in his seat and regarded her with slight interest now.

"Fine." He spoke with a grunt and stood up from his seat. "But next time hit harder. Barely felt anything." He told her.

"I reckon we should set a vending machine on fire and toss it out the window! Viva la Resistance!"

Veronica sighed and slumped against the wall. The situation was getting out of hand, first Krogan intervened by roaring loudly and giving Veronica quite a shock, Nali had stormed in a rage, while Jask was claiming he was fine when he most certainly wasn't and finally rhw crew would have to go to Omega. Eventually she pulled herself off the wall and headed towards the crew quarters, which was by far her most favorite part of the ship. While she walked she opened up her Omni-Tool searching throught her video archives for the video she had been unable to finish earlier. While she was searching she opened the door to the crew quarters, only to find there were a few crew members lounging... so her plan to watch her video in private was put on hold for now.

Oh well. There were other places to hang out, like the mess hall for instance! Leaving the crew quarters and shutting off her Omni-Tool she wandered towards the mess hall. When she got there she a seat at the table in the corner with her head in her hands. She wasn;t sure how much more of this she could take. Maybe the nice trip to Omega would calm her nerves?

If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

[kitties!]Nali was almost amused with how the vorcha had so reluctantly accepted, but she couldn't say she was surprised by the rest of it. This was, after all, the most civil they'd been since the vorcha had stumbled into the cargo hold. ...when they weren't completely ignoring each other, at least. Regardless, the asari simply shrugged it off and walked past him to the kitchen, "Don't tempt me. Skipper said I'm not allowed to kill you."

[kitties!]With nothing much left to say to the vorcha, Nali left him to discuss things quietly with the kitchen. Most of the time was spent speaking about holding off on limiting rations ever more, though Nali had mentioned that a little splurging was probably going to take place for the night's dinner if they did wind up finding Skipper and bringing his sorry a** back to the ship before mealtime.

[kitties!]After one jump through the relay, it didn't take long for the approaching Omega message to blare over the Amazon's intercom, along with a note that shore party was to prepare for docking. By this time, Nali had already finished her business with the kitchen, changed into her armor, and readied two or three crates full of more things to sell. She didn't expect to get much more than a couple thousand credits for the crates mostly of salvaged goods from past battlefields and wreckages, but that was enough to keep them from having to reduce rations in the near future and maybe cover a good supply of thermal clips, depending how much was left in her credit chit. They'd just fueled up a couple day cycles ago, so at least they didn't have to worry about that for a little while.

[kitties!]Once she had a pair of volunteers to take the goods to the marketplace, Nali made her way up to the CIC to wait by the exit for a little while until others gathered with her and they landed. Luckily, they were just about docked by the time she'd been joined by the rest of those who'd go with her and Velorix onto Omega, so it wasn't too awkward for too long since most--if not all--of them were there in the shuttle bay to witness her little outburst.

[kitties!]I really hope Skipper is here. I'd rather not have to search the entire galaxy when we're trying to hide from it, Nali thought to herself as the party was released onto Omega and headed straight for the thumping Afterlife to find their Skipper, or at the very least, talk to Aria about whether or not he'd shown is face in her domain any time in the past year. As usual, while they were docked, the Amazon was to remain on alert, especially while the fire team was gone.
