Getting out of Purgatory was much easier when one was in possession of a tactical cloak and a weapon of some sort, but those were things that Velorix would have to do without for now. Right now all he had was his cybernetic eye and whatever he was wearing, which didn't seem too important compared to the dozens-- if not hundreds-- of armed guards looking to shoot him in the face. It really couldn't get any uglier at this point, but bullets had a tendency to kill people. Velorix couldn't have that happening, could he? No, Sir. Alarms screeched throughout the entire facility and there was a voice on the loudspeakers, barking orders sounding both angry and panicked while guards rushed to all the wrong sectors. To be fair, if the infiltrator ran a prison and heard that an ex-Spectre was escaping, he'd be pretty worried too. Especially if said ex-Spectre was a friend of both Owyn Skipper and Roderick Faust.

The turian skidded to a halt and growled in frustration as he came to a fork in the hall and didn't know where to go. didn't they have a guest directory for tourists? A little "you are here" blip in case, I don't know, someone wanted to escape and didn't know the way out? "Left or right... left... or right..." Velorix glanced back and forth between the directions and decided he didn't have the time to stand and debate... so he picked randomly and went left.

Of course, this led him to round a corner and nearly tackle a lone Purgatory guard, who yelped in surprise and tried to raise his assault rifle. "Oh, no you don't!" Velorix sidestepped just in time and one round merely grazed his adomen as the spooked human let the rounds fly. Now, the turian was no good at hand-to-hand combat, but in a moment of desperation he had a "What sould Skipper do?" moment and grabbed a fistful of the guard's hair, pulling down just as he brought a knee upward. Velorix cringed as he heard a crunching sound (a nose being broken, probably) and let go as the unconsious body tumbled to the ground.

...Well. That went better than expected.

With a sore knee and a sense of urgency he continued on, making note to avoid every guard in this whole facility. There would be no more moments of Skipper-ness other than that, to be sure. The alarm was beginning to give him a headache and after a couple more hallway intersections, he was beginning to tire. Nonstop sprinting through Purgatory with men who wanted to kill you helped with that. Velorix ducked into a side hall while attempting to take a detour around some guards and saw a figure farther ahead. Not wearing guard armor, though. Curious but still paranoid, he tried to be as stealthy as possible while sneaking up to the man, maybe catch him by--

It was Velorix who was truly surprised, and his eyes widened as he took in the sight before him. "...Faust?"

"'fraid so, lad." sighed the Admiral as he spun his Phalanx on his finger, scratching his temple irritably. He took a long drag from a cigarette. "I should've been able to guess you'd try to get out, maybe I'd just had too much faith that you'd be able to sit back and let things be as they are." the Admiral sighed, a sort of sadness in his eyes as he took aim at his friend's head. Friend or no, to him Velorix was a threat to Galactic peace and he'd shoot him without a second thought. Or maybe the Admiral just wanted to be persuaded otherwise...

The Turian's relief was short-lived as he found himself at the barrel of Faust's gun, and a look of hurt and betrayal shone in his one yellow eye. After all this...? He wanted to push the Phalanx away, to have things go back to the way they were, but Velorix dared not move a muscle. One wrong move and he wouldn't live for much longer. It was time for the negotiations to start, slow and steady...

"Roderick, you know you don't want to do this, that it isn't right. All that stuff the Council is saying... Owyn taking the blame, Duncan a hero-- a Spectre, can you believe it?-- and me being stuck in Purgatory... do you really believe it?" Velorix paused and took a deep breath, looking into Faust's eyes, trying to read the man's expression. "No. You don't. You know it's not true, and that Skipper was framed, and that Duncan is far from the savior everyone claims... so please. Help me get out of here so we can make things right."

Faust sighed and his stance relaxed. He stroked his moustache momentarily, before releasing a resigned grunt and perking up as he heard routine footsteps come marching from behind Velorix. Men were coming, but they weren't here yet. Faust jolted into action. "The shuttle bay is through that door. I hope you know what you're doing." Faust opened the door on a nearby terminal. "Move it, Velorix." he spoke in his typical English way, albeit a bit more urgently. "Oh, and give this back to Owyn, will you?" spoke the Admiral, throwing a sheathed and used kukri knife to Velorix, which the turian handidly caught. "He left it behind on Antirumgon. I think he misses it."

The former turian Spectre let out a loud sigh in relief when Faust lowered his gun, then went right back to being tense, hearing the footsteps. They didn't have much time. "Don't worry, I'll set things right again," he said, and gave his friend a pat on the arm before turning and running down the hall, into the shuttle bay. The closes one was only several meters away and a few long strides led him inside the small craft as he immediately got to work, his infiltrator skills coming into handy for the first time in the past year or so. In just a few minutes he had coordinates ready and the shuttle prepped for launch, a grim yet determined expression on his turian features. "Let's get this party started."

Meanwhile, back in the room stood a resigned Faust. He took a glance at his foot before sighing. "Velorix, you'd best appreciate this." a shot resounded, and Faust shot himself in the foot and fell to the floor. Soon, two of his men entered the room and saw him. They rushed to his aid. "Admiral! What happened?!"

"That crafty turian! Tricked me he did! I was powerless! Shot me right in the foot!" the two men picked him up and began to drag him to the infirmary. "Don't worry, sir! The automatic defenses will take care of his shuttle!" Faust's brow raised, and he quickly wrestled from his men's grasp, faking a fall "Oh, the pain!" and landing face first with a rather audible 'derk!' on the button that disabled the defenses and breaking it at that. As he was helped back up, Faust spoke again. "Let him go! Get me to the infirmary, I'll give chase personally!"

If Velorix knew what his friend had just did, it would have earned the man a brofist of epic proportions. Instead he focused on getting off of Purgatory and not get blown up in the process, 'cause he of all people knew that explosions were very bad for his health. The shuttle took off and flew through space, away from the dreaded prison, while he quickly worked to patch a message to the Amazon crew.

"This is Velorix Arkasus, former Spectre... I'm coming home."

If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

[kitties!]The past year had been harrowing, and Nali had run out of expletives that could properly express how stressed she and her crew had been. Goddess, it was probably because there weren't any acceptable vulgarities, and if there was a goddess, she had a very cruel sense of humor. She was used to being on the run, but this was ridiculous. Once a small-time "crook," now on the run from the entire galaxy. Mother would be proud, she thought to herself.

[kitties!]Her last mission had...well, she wasn't sure if it'd failed or not, to be honest. She'd been told to find the true leader of the Dark Moons and get Skipper and the rest of them off of Antirumgon, and she'd...done it. Sort of. She knew Faust was off Antirumgon, Velorix was in Purgatory...she hadn't heard anything of Skipper other than that he hadn't been caught in the first place. Sending messages into the dark was too risky... Go find the Dark Moons' leader! And here to help you, the Dark Moons' leader! All of it. Having found him imprisoned with the other Dark Moon slaves, that sniper she'd brought down at the bar that one night...all of it a ruse. A clever, ******** ruse! Nali cursed at herself, her knuckles turning white as her fists tightened in frustration. Now, she was wandering the galaxy, their only aim not to be caught, and their pilot was none other than the quarian she'd decided to kill after their mission ended. Looked like that was going to have to wait, though, as they needed all the help they could get, and he was in the same boat--so to speak--as the rest of them.

[kitties!]With the Amazon so high on the wanted list, they couldn't even refuel without risk of getting caught. Nali had been exhausting resources from every single one of her and her sister Lyrana's contacts, just to get simple things like ammo and fuel for both the ship and her people. She didn't know how much longer they could last, but there wasn't much she could do about it at the moment. Nali could only hope that they would last long enough for everything get settled.

[kitties!]Hands on the rails beside her, she looked over the galaxy map. Other than "away," the Amazon wasn't headed anywhere specific, but she was often caught staring at the map as if she were looking for...something. Any way to get people off her back, to see what was really going on, that the man they'd just made a Spectre was the one she'd been charged to find oh-so-long ago. Maybe if she were more diplomatic, she could've...

[kitties!]"This is Velorix Arkasus, former Spectre... I'm coming home."

[kitties!]Her eyes lit up, and it was barely a moment before she patched herself through to the technicians in the shuttle bay as she made her way down there herself with the longest strides her legs could take (without looking funny), "Open the shuttle bay. Now. Just do it."

                There she was; The Amazon.

Velorix still couldn't believe he had escaped from Purgatory-- though Faust assisted him, so it wasn't all that impossible-- and made it back to the only place he could call home now. He looked forward to seeing his crew, the new faces and the old. As the shuttle zoomed closer, the large ship's shuttle bay opened and he quickly docked, hands nearly shaking with anticipation. If only Owyn was here to see this...

The shuttle doors hissed open and the unarmed Turian fugitive took a tentative step forward, wondering who'd heard his message. Nali, no doubt, but had the others come to look, too? No, no... they still had duties to preform, on the run or not. A clawed hand reached up to tug his hood down and Velorix glanced around, mandibles flaring as his features tried to mimic what humans called "a smile".

"I'm back," he called out, cybernetic eye scanning the bay for familiar faces until he finally spotted one. "Nali! How have you been?" Should he really be this cheerful, considering the circumstances? Yes and no, since a reunion was nice and all, but being on the run from the entire galaxy was another.

If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

[kitties!]A couple of the crew members tried to address her, but from their tones, it didn't sound like anything too important. Well, relatively important, at least. Just as well, of course, because she didn't stop for anything. Hell, once the elevator had taken her to the right deck, she even ducked under the door as it pulled open, too impatient to wait for it to rise the whole five feet and four inches. As she got to the shuttle bay, she half-expected the shuttle to have been there already with both Velorix and Skipper standing there, one of them to comment on why she'd taken so long. But, no, when she got to the booth, the doors were just opening, and not soon enough, the shuttle finally came into view and landed...not to smoothly, actually, but she imagined whoever was inside was eager to rejoin the Amazon and her crew.

[kitties!]Finally, the door sealed itself behind the vehicle, and the shuttle bay's atmosphere had barely returned when Nali pushed her way out of the technician's booth to join...Velorix who'd just gotten out of the shuttle. Alone. No, it would've been too much to hope that he'd have picked Skipper up on the way to the ship. Even with eyes all over the galaxy, Nali had been unable to locate the man, so of course, Velorix, who must have just broken out of Purgatory (no small feat, by the way), hadn't found him. Still, there was no disappointment to be found on her face. Her eyes glazed over a bit, and it took her a moment, but she finally answered the turian.

[kitties!]"Things have been..." What? Good? Hardly, "...we're alive. Still. For the most part. How're..." Nali cut herself off, and her lips thinned as she tried so hard to fight back the tears. ...mostly because it would've been ******** embarrassing. Here, her teammate had just returned from Purgatory, a prison ship that was rather known for not losing people, save for the exception here and there, and she was standing there returning small talk like they were merely acquaintances at a class reunion. Oh, ******** it. Nali stepped forward and wrapped her arms around Velorix in a somewhat krogan-esque hug.

[kitties!]"Shut up," Nali said preemptively, immediately feeling embarrassed, "It's just...thank the goddess you're back and safe." The moment sat there for a second and she finally stepped back again, raising a hand to the scar on the left side of her forehead and placing the other hand on her hip. "Ah. Safe being used as loosely as possible. Sorry you had to come back with the ship and everyone in this state. The past year has been...tolling on us, but I suppose it hasn't been easy on you, either, huh?"

-----------"It's time for some thrilling heroics."

Velorix patiently waited for Nali to reply, urging her on with a nod when she paused, then was surprised when she advanced to hug him. Even moreso when he found himself being squished by her little asari form. Air... he needed air... For now though, the Turian returned the hug with equal intensity (or at least tried to, since he wasn't as strong), glad to finally be back with his crew. Whatever was left of it, anyway. He wasn't sure if there were any casualties since he'd last seen them.

"Safe is still good. Much better than things could be, as far as I see it," he replied after Nali stepped away, and he eyed the small scar with a frown. Courtesy of the Dark Moons, he supposed. Another thing he'd have to get them back for, after they picked up Skipper from wherever he was. Velorix's hand went to the knife he carried-- Lucy-- and he decided that his first course of action after this whole reunion would be to get Owyn's a** back on the Amazon. Whatever was ahead-- revenge, redemption, and all that good stuff-- he'd need his number one dudebro by his side.

His mind suddenly snapped back to the present and he quickly smiled again to reassure Nali. "It wasn't easy for any of us this past year, and hopefully we can start to change that."

Was Thinking About: Nothing to report, really.

There they were...Near the top of the wanted lists of the whole of the Citadel Races, hated throughout the Galaxy...hounded at every turn...Low on supplies, facing capture and most likely execution.

...and he was oblivious to it all...most of it, anyways. After what had happened earlier, you think some sense would have been quite literally knocked into him...some yes, he was aware of the enemies of the crew and that made him angry, considering it took longer for him to be knocked out than it was for Nali...some Turian. Krogans were supposed to hate Turians right? This one was different. Powerful. Something was wrong here. Turians were not like this. No no, he knew the weaknesses of a turian. How to exploit these.

He hugged Sergeant Snuggles in discomfort as he lumbered about the ship, taking to avoiding the cargo hold for the time being, as people eyed him with suspicion. Krogan could eat a lot, and they were at risk as is of running low on vital things, even though Krogan had refrained from eating anything for extended periods of time...long periods of time, really...he'd even refrained from chewing on any scrap rubber! His idle thoughts died away as a certain Blue Battlemaster moved by him, and he altered his aimless course to follow behind her, for the time being putting Sergeant Snuggles in a compartment in his armor...ignoring as the teddy bear's head once again popped out in plain sight mischievously.

He watched an idle distance aside as Nali and Velorix were re-united, nodding his head to himself as they embraced in a friendly manner. This wasn't the turian that had assaulted them, had it? Not dark enough in hue and without the red markings on the face. His analysis done he looked back up to the new-old turian and stood as tall as he could, towering over the other crew members, and gave him a nod from the distance he was at...what? It wasn't like he was given any tasks besides moving things about on occasion and shooting stuff.

Currently Thinking About: Sorry, still nothing to report.

If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

[kitties!]Velorix was speaking in response, but while she was getting the most basic of gists from his words, most of her attention was fixed on the knife in his hand. It was unmistakably Lucy, Skipper's beloved knife. She'd only seen the blade without the human attached to it a couple of times, and neither of them had been good. Then again, if Velorix had taken the knife from Skipper's body, he probably would've mentioned it or looked the least bit remorseful. Besides, she wasn't completely up-to-date on recent events, but as far as she knew, Skipper still hadn't been found. He was still on the run, and people usually needed to be alive to do that.

[kitties!]When she took her eyes off the blade, she noticed where Velorix' were, and she automatically dropped her left hand back to her side. Over the past several months, she'd formed the habit of running her fingers along the scar. It was an unwanted gift bestowed upon her by a very special Lerax, and though it wasn't as bad as the actual wound was, it hadn't healed as seamlessly as she would have liked. That was because she'd actually gotten off rather easy. Taelon's assistant Monique died during the attack, along with a few others like Dave and Fiona. The losses were hard in themselves, but since they couldn't always keep their equipment maintained and such, it also meant they often had to rely on basic first aid and their constantly-dwindling supply of medi-gel.

[kitties!]Still, to hear Velorix' reassurance, Nali had to smile a little, though it felt a little weird since she hadn't been doing a lot of that since they first went on the run. It was the same thing she'd been saying to her crew, trying to convince them that things weren't going to end this way, that they were going to be able to fix it eventually. Or maybe she'd just been trying to convince herself and none of the crew wanted to say anything to crush what little hope she had. Hell, maybe Velorix was just saying it to her just like she'd been telling her team, but it was working.

[kitties!]"Good. I've been getting tired of running, anyway, and it's hard to sell anything decent when I've gotta look over my shoulder all the time," Nali said, trying to return to the sassy self she'd lost and turning to motion to the door, "Guess our first step is to find our Skipper and get him back. Why does this feel so familiar?"

J A S K--------------------------------

Jask currently found himself sitting in his usual place in the mess hall, except this time he had a glower on his face as he stared off at the various crew members as they went about their business in the room. Their numbers had been cut down even more than they had been when The Amazon had been attacked by Kreen and his men all that time ago; a blow from which they had still been recovering. But now, to lose such a large portion of the Fire Team at once just made the whole situation all the worse.

That was a large part of what was on his mind at the moment, but his mind kept wandering back to the moment before the most recent attack on The Amazon. The security warning that had blared across the intercom systems, suddenly alerting them of the security breach. He'd barely had time to process what had been said before all Hell had broken loose. The drell and the woman appearing, an explosion, and that turian. In what seemed like a matter or moments, most of the crew in the area had been taken out and the turian charged forward to take out Nali and Krogan. Rather violently. By this point he had reached for his weapon, though it barely mattered as that woman from before had proved to be much quicker than him, and made quick work of both Grace and himself.

Now they were apparently on the run, and while things weren't nearly as hectic as they had been before, they were definitely much more tense. They had to conserve supplies now, and had to be constantly on the lookout for enemy ships (which were pretty much just 'ships', at this point).

Jask found himself once again in the present moment, looking at the people in the mess hall and thought back to Duncan balefully. Apparently he'd played a massive part in the situation they all found themselves in now, and the vorcha couldn't help but feel greatly infuriated by the betrayal. He had liked that human.

He supposed there was nothing he could do about it now though. He pushed himself away from his seat in the mess hall with a growl and decided to wander the halls. He wanted to hit something, repeatedly. Though when he eventually wandered by the shuttle bay and saw Nali, Krogan and a familiar-looking turian, he stopped by them and watched them out of curiosity.

-----------"It's time for some thrilling heroics."

Velorix followed the Asari's gaze to Lucy, wondering what she was thinking, and he quickly put it away. Skipper was far from dead, and despite having lost contact with the man in the past year, he knew Owyn was alive. Call it intuition. Dudebro intuition. Now it was up to the crew to find their former captain and begin making things right again in the galaxy, a very hard thing to do as far as he was concerned, but if Faust believed him then all hope was not lost. They still had him on their side.

Nali's smile seemed to brighten his spirits a little and he thought that things were going to be okay. They'd have Skipper back again, Duncan dead or arrested (probably the former, since Velorix didn't plan on being merciful), and the Amazon back in the Union, shooting outlaws and not being framed for crimes. "Yes, I imagine it's hard to find willing buyers since the Amazon is so... infamous." He began walking to the door at a steady pace, and laughed softly at Nali's comment about Skipper, though the humor didn't reach his eyes. Or eye. Nevertheless, he tried to keep the mood light. "Knowing him, this will become a routine."

Then a sudden thought hit him and the Turian's expression fell slightly, eyes scanning the shuttle bay and seeing only Jask and a new Krogan ally. He nodded to them both before focusing on Nali once again. So few crew. "...Who did we lose?" Velorix sounded somber, almost dreading the news and hoping there weren't a lot of names he recognized.

"I reckon we should set a vending machine on fire and toss it out the window! Viva la Resistance!"

A soft chime was heard throughout the crew quarters as Veronica closed her Omni-tool, she had just finished watching half of a video but it had done little to inprove her mood. It had been a year since Duncan had revealed himself to be the leader of their long time foe The Dark Moons, attacked the ship and left several of the crew members dead. Veronica sighed with frustration, she thought she'd be used to the whole Galaxy's most wanted thing by now, but everytime she went to sleep thinking "Tomorrow, everything's gonna be just fine" she awoke in the same annoyed and sad mood. The rest of the surviving crew weren't doing much better either, Nali seemed uninterested, but her rage was obvious. Krogan just wandered the ship mostly, looking almost lost. Veronica herself had had little say.

She rolled off the bed with a groan and pulled a pair of trousers on and exited the Crew Quarters to find something to do. There was no one in the mess hall, so that location could be crossed off the imaginary list in Veronica's head. She noticed Jask heading towards the shuttle bay and figured she make conversation with him. If anything now was a good time to get to know him, its not like the crew would have anything important to do in the mean time. Upon arriving in the shuttle bay Veronica was greeted by a wonderous sight! Velorix had found his way back to the ship. She smiled at this new revelation. Prehaps she'd greet him later but for now. a Vorcha with a sweet tooth needed her attention.

She walked over to where Jask was quietly observing, she smiled him and gave a small wave. " Hey... how you holding up?". Yeah she didn't have alot to say, but hey a conversation would be good for the both of them.

If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

[kitties!]She'd mentioned her sales in some attempt to be flippant, but when she actually thought about it, it was a little depressing to know it was true. Maybe that was why she hadn't really gone into it before. The maiden couldn't risk selling what little she had to outsiders, and she just felt bad for taking from anyone on the ship, even if she was giving her merchandise in return.

[kitties!]The first time the Amazon had begun running low on supplies, she'd asked Lyrana to pull all the credits from her account and transfer them to a chit. Her sister had been taken in for investigation shortly after that, but with all her charisma, it was easy for her to convince them she'd drained Nali's account to keep the money from her "poor excuse for a sister" to make it easier for them to find. Unfortunately, Nali was of the lucky few since most of the others didn't have someone to do that for them. Besides, credits were for ammo, food, and fuel, and at this point of the game, as long as it wasn't a personal affect, it was public property, so bartering would've been useless.

[kitties!]Nali walked with Velorix, taking longer strides just to keep up, though she was pretty sure he was slowing himself down a bit to make it easier for her. Before they got too far, though, she motioned a hand toward the technician booth, and a few of them promptly got out to look over the shuttle. It was routine, but it was so much more important this time since it wasn't their shuttle, so they needed to check it at least twice over for any sort of tracker or bug. Meanwhile, Nali glanced over as they passed Jask, Krogan, and Veronica. The smile was still on her face, but it wasn't really happiness. Just...relief which, at the moment, was just as good. Truly, they must have been in dark times if what little hope they had could've been so easily returned just from the arrival of a prison escapee.

                  [kitties!]"...who did we lose?"

[kitties!]"Uh." Nali's spiraling thoughts came to a crash at his question. She knew exactly who they'd lost. She thought about them everyday, just to get herself out of bed each morning. They stood as a reminder of what they were doing, that they couldn't be caught until they could prove what big idiots the Council was being to believe Duncan. Other than that, it was hard to ignore the empty chairs or how hard and frantically everyone had been working to pick up the slack of staff. None of them were replaceable, but Nali had refused to take on any new hires. Too dangerous. Still, thinking about those they'd lost was one thing, but talking about them was another. She hadn't had to mention it outloud since they'd "recovered" from Duncan's betrayal.

[kitties!]"Kieran, Luka, and Eva from engineering," the lady started, though she was pretty sure Velorix hadn't met anyone they'd hired after the attack on Kreen's carrier, but a loss was a loss, "Mess Sergeant Erin. Monique. Dave--I think you were the one who messaged me about him before he joined us. ...Fiona is gone." Nali stopped and took a breath as her chest began to feel heavy. The list was too long, and it got harder and harder as she neared the end. Her fingers came up once again to trace along the scar, her brain habitually giving her something to do.

[kitties!]"Ganning." Goddess, Nali was taking that one the hardest. The man was like a backstage hero, making sure everything was in order so the rest of them could do their business and look badass while doing it, and though he'd never really been part of the fire team, the asari just knew he'd died trying to fix everything. That, and all of this would've been so much easier if he were still there. He was actually military. A navigator and first officer when Nali had first arrived on the Amazon. He would've known what to do. He knew protocol and how the military thought: it would've made it so much easier to avoid them instead of Nali having to stand there wondering if they were just around this corner. Sure, she had to act like she knew what she was doing for the sake of morale, but Ganning would've actually backed it up.

J A S K--------------------------------

Jask had been distracted from watching Nali and Velorix by the sound of Veronica's voice, and he glanced over to her as she waved. He had never really taken the time to get to know Veronica yet, but he had nothing against her. She was good at what she did, and never seemed to cause any problems.

He nodded and grunted as the human approached in his own form of a greeting, before turning to her and answering her question. "Ok, human." He told her with slightly narrowed eyes, and he glanced momentarily back towards the asari and the turian before bringing his full attention to Veronica.

He wasn't completely oblivious to what everyone must have been going through. He'd come to be aware that in this crew, unlike what he'd been taught previously, it was generally considered to be a 'bad' thing when another teammate died. Here they weren't as easily replaced, and here when someone died, it greatly affected moral. They weren't just members of the crew that had died, they were friends. And while he hadn't been as affected by the deaths of the other crew members as much as the others had, he harboured a deep feeling of resentment towards Duncan and what he had done. The human had played them all for fools.

Many of the crew's spirits were low, not only because of the situation they were in, but because of all the losses in personnel they had suffered. But at least some of the team was still together. And Jask was beginning to think that perhaps there was more to being part of a team than just shooting at the people on the other side. Actually helping other people might be pretty important too...Though he wasn't about to go around giving everyone hugs anytime soon.

"Your turian friend is back." Was the only thing he could think of to say, as he gestured over to Velorix who was still talking with Nali. Just in case somehow Veronica hadn't seen him yet.

"...Weapons seem to be in working order. Extra thermal clips are still untouched, thank the goddess," groggily howled Aris.

Within the firing range, the drell chose to just perform an inspection to make sure that the weaponry wouldn't jam on them when they were needed most, much like his preferred weapons.
Granted, he normally placed whatever extra thermal clips they could find, but granted, it was only enough to refill the weapons they'd usually carry.

It wasn't like they'd be in too many situations that required the use of a wee bit more than a pistol--Fortunately however, the ten clips they managed to scavenge would be happily saved for a rainy day!

Sadly, however, it didn't do much to lift his mood.

To use the phrase 'how the mighty have fallen' could have been the understatement of the year. Forced to scavenge, hide themselves, attack who-so-ever dared to search for them on a bad day...And they were -usually- bad days.

"One of the best..hand-picked by Faust himself.....Peh," scoffed the Drell. As he resisted the urge to continue grumbling, a fire shone within his eyes---Uncomfortable and downright agitated, Aris merely left the room in a haste; since he never stayed in that room lest, he 'drown' in that god forsaken memory once more--He needed some fresh air, and preferably something to chow down on at the moment. Or perhaps' he'd just go wander off until he'd reach his room and take a nap from there--that same fire never was able to dim as time passed...perhaps today could be different though.

Guy was a smooth operator, I'll give him that---New guy who has no idea of what he and his crewmates got themselves into. Future Spectre of the year, while you forsake your friends. Dirty, rotten, son of bit--

And now he's seen something..kind of peculiar. In his own grumbling rage, he'd more or less walked right into the shuttle bay, emotions never failing to cloud his sense of direction, after all. Jask, their leader, and various other crew members were in the general area...though there was a new face---A male Turian who was addressing a now-relieved Nali. Shrugging to himself, he was just glad that it wasn't anyone out to kill them.

Walking forward once more, the Drell merely slowed down upon casting a glance at one of his fellow crew mates--The Krogan. Sadly, he had never gotten his name, and hadn't really spoke much to him (or even to the crew this year), but there he was, standing tall and silent.

"....Something on your mind...'homey'? Or are you tired?" asked Aris in a curious tone, raising a brow to the creature.

┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Was Thinking About: Nothing to report, really.

The Krogan stared unblinking at Nali and Velorix's reunion, or as it appeared in his eyes, not saying a word as he moved aside as the duo walked past, talking about everyone they had lost...and oh how deaf you must have been not to hear his growling when the names 'Dave' and 'Erin' were mentioned. Between the two, oddly enough it was Erin he was more upset about. Dave was a fighter, and a good one, he died in that fight, what more could he have asked for? Of course...that was his krogan mindset trying to get rid of that pain, but Erin- The Mess Sergeant was different.

Not a fighter, but a cook. A cook who was delighted whenever the Krogan appeared because they knew that whatever it was being served would be gobbled up in a second with gratitude and satisfaction, even if the rest of the crew found that particular meal less than edible...He'd even sneak over just to eat the leftovers that everyone knew wouldn't be eaten...Erin didn't ask to die in that attack, and Krogan sure as hell wasn't happy about it. It was those two deaths in particular that gave the nameless behemoth a reason to stay with the crew, even IF for the most part this wasn't his fight...well, that and his newfound loyalty to Nali over the last year.

There was a faint squeak to his right, and he looked down to see Sergeant Snuggles had once again emerged from his armor...for a toy bear, it sure seemed to have a mind of it's own. As he moved a claw to conceal the teddy bear, his eyes scanned a bit higher in regards to the Drell ( for he had since given up that part of his 'stupidity act' of referring to Asari as Blue Humans and Drell as Green Humans), and just blinked as the teddy bear disappeared from view. Out of all the crew members, it was this one he had never spoken to or even regarded since he first made his way onto the ship...however, when the Drell referred to him as 'homey', the Krogan cleared his throat while shaking his head side to side before eying Otium with a grin,"Nah I'm good dawg, you still keepin' it real, man?"...he'd seen too many human movies on that, though he soon caught himself raising an arm to make the 'peace sign' with his right claw, then lowered it promptly and let out a grunt,"Uhhh...I mean: You not dead...hm, good good." he nodded his head up and down repeatedly before rolling his shoulders back and holding out one claw and punching a curled fist into it,"Very good, more warriors to fight bad guys. yeah."

Currently Thinking About: Yo Homey Gee Dawg.
