The Man-Spider stood before the ruler of this realm, knowing that this was a demon unlikely anything he'd had ever come across. Something in his mind understood when the demon made noises, but for some reason the connection could not be made that the leader was speaking to him. Blinking all of his eyes, the Man-Spider clawed the air in a show of dominance and took a step to the right.

As he took the step, for some reason the light once again went weird and instead the Man-Spider found himself behind the leader. Hissing, he once again batted at the air with his claws in an attempt to show how dominant he could be. As he did this, the Man-Spider's mind began to work. As he thought, he scanned the area, looking for anything that might signal something was wrong. As he scanned the surrounding area, he also watched the ruler of this realm, curious to see what he would do. As he did all of this, he flexed his claws a couple times, swatted at the air some more and shifted his weight, preparing himself for whatever might happen.

At about four pm, May Parker bid fare-thee-well to Mr and Mrs Parker and Ben Ulrich. Walking toward the bus-stop, she went over all that happened during the day.

The moment breakfast was over, the elderly May Parker and Ben Parker began to attempt to formulate one idea after another, trying to come up with a solution that would allow them to get Peter and J Jonah Sr back safely. Around eleven, Ben Ulrich turned up, claiming he was unsure why he'd come, but that he felt that must do something other than sitting around, to which he was welcomed as Mr Parker exclaimed, "The more minds to work on this puzzle, the better."

By one the young woman and the three adults found themselves near the breaking point and as tempers began to flare, mostly because each idea brought forward was quickly deflated as several plot holes were discovered, Mrs Parker demanded that they stop for a bit and have a bite to eat. Something Ben Parker was quick to agree with.

After a leisure lunch, Mrs and Mr Parker, May and Ben lapsed into silence, only breaking it to put forth an idea. By the time four came around, the only one that seemed plausible was for the young May Parker to confront the Green Goblin and see Peter and J Jonah Sr safely.

Suddenly finding herself nervous, May Parker nodded in acceptance and Mrs Parker offered to prepare her something to eat before she left, the young woman politely declined. Leaving the house, she only turned back when the elderly May Parker came out, calling after her and when May turned, Mrs Parker held out her hand and simply stated, "You'll need bus fare," and than dropped a couple coins in May's hand.

Stopping at the bus stop, the nervousness getting worse, May closed her eyes and took a deep breath. When the monstrous metal behemoth approached, May opened her eyes and preparing herself, she climbed on board when the vehicle pulled to a stop. Paying the man sitting at the front, May found herself losing all hearing and a feeling like she was on autopilot crept over her. Taking a seat about midway, she silently prayed that she would be able to bring Peter back to his aunt and aunt safely and that no harm would befall his boss, J Jonah Sr as the bus lurched forward and Queens slowly fell behind her.

Thomas flipped off the guy who'd said to keep it down. Rolling his eyes he said "Dude, come on it's a great day the sun's in the sky hot ladies waking dogs, the cosmos is alive, and no giant meteorites are headed at earth to wipe it out. It's a good day to be alive, and on those good days to be alive sometimes you just have to celebrate, preferably by finding a beautiful E sized breasted Milf and or collage student, and giving her a ride she never forgets."

The mutant wasn't sure why he was in a good mood. However, he'd be damned if some a** hoe in the meanest city on earth would screw it up for him. Realizing the guy was on a bench and thus probably homeless Thomas handed him a crisp hundred dollar bill saying, "Here go have a few rounds on me."

The young playboy millionaire chuckled as he walked into the park. impressed with himself for doing a "good deed".

"Calm down and shut it. Talking like that will get people to look at you like you're a pervert." He took the hundred and crumpled it up and threw it at the back of the guy's head. "Keep your chicken feed, You need it more than I do and besides, I'm too young to drink."

In just a few moments it became apparent that he wouldn't be able to make a normal deal, but it was still possible that he could earn its loyalty. He regarded it as a human might regard a barking pup - he might have frightened it away by being more terrifying, but it was his goal to earn its trust, not its fear. To this end he would entice it in the same manner as a pup.
He raised an arm into the air and snapped his fingers, and the sound carried further than it seemed possible. It echoed back, and more importantly roused a group of demons from elsewhere which came flying overhead looking very much like bats, only each as large as a man. He forced one out of the sky, willing it to come to him. It flew directly into his hand, which instantly clasped around its neck and squeezed the life out of it. He threw the body before the Man-Spider as an offering.
"Go on, that's for you."

Baron Zemo, Head of HYDRAXXXXXX

From their remote meeting place Zemo had, as per the plan, once more gone into hiding. Though like the hydra of myth his ideals would survive him, dying before seeing his plans come to fruition was not exactly Plan A, and so he'd told no one of where he would be.
The minutes felt like hours as the time to strike approached, and he decided to fill the remainder by checking on Zeus and Viper to be certain that everything was proceeding smoothly and both were ready to put their respective parts of the plan into motion.
He began with contacting the New York base where Zeus was.
"Zeus, the hour of reckoning is nearly upon us. Are preparations there complete? Have the weapons arrived?"

The Man-Spider watched all this, unable to understand what was being said and unsure what exactly the leader of this realm was doing. For some reason that he could not comprehend the lead demon had killed another demon and tossed it at the Man-Spider's feet. Wondering if this was some sort of offering, the he glanced down at the dead flyer and than at the leader.

Glancing back down, he found himself confused. What was he expected to do. Was he supposed to pick it up and give it to the lead demon, swearing some fealty in process? Perhaps he was supposed to eat it? Looking at the demon that was head of this realm, the Man-Spider cocked his head to one side, almost as if to say, "I don't understand." Surely the lead demon would know that the Man-Spider preferred to hunt and kill his own food and not have some other demon do it for him? So what exactly was the catch his bestial mind tried to puzzled out.

She slowly sunk into herself, losing herself to her own doubt as to what she was supposed to do. Still moving as if on auto-pilot, May Parker stepped off the bus somewhere in Manhattan and looking about, realising without really realising that she was looking at the burnt remains of City hall, she began to walk. Turning into a an alley, she walked a couple steps before stopping.

Glancing about, seeing that nobody was about and that the ones out walking on the main walkways weren't paying the least bit of attention, May Parker took a deep breath and placing a hand against the wall, she began to use her spider-abilities to climb the side of the building. When she reached the top, she began to look about without moving from where she was standing, sure that the green hell-spawn was somewhere about. After a moment, she forced herself to relax and moving forward, May continued to scan the rooftop. And when she reached the edge, she easily leapt to the next building.

From where he was hiding, the Green Goblin watched the woman come up and over the side of the building and onto the roof. He watched as she surveyed her surroundings, knowing that this was the one who'd dare to interfere with his plans to exact revenge against those who'd hurt Norman.

When she moved to the next roof, the Green Goblin continued to watch her, his mind in a state of war with itself. On one hand he wanted to swoop down and engage the slight modifications he'd made to glider. Perhaps chuck a few of the grenades he'd procured. The part of his mind was constantly whispering, Kill her! Kill her now! But the other part of his mind, the part that was cold and calculating was content to merely watch her.

Soon it reasoned. Soon you can spring the trap and when she falls into it, allowing both of the flies for the spider to die in the process, than you can kill her. And when she is dead, the havoc will continue.

Grinning at the prospect, the Green Goblin decided to continue to watch.

As May Parker leapt to the third building in the row, she suddenly stopped and glanced about, not for the second, third or even fourth time. Feeling as if somebody was watching her, she thought about her options and who might be watching. Quickly deciding that it was either some bird or the goblin, but figuring it was latter of the two, she began to move more cautiously. Something moving catching her peripheral vision almost caused her to stop, but instead she forced herself to continue.

As she moved into the shadows of what looked to be a lean-to or possibly a set of enclosed stairs descending into the building, May Parker acted quickly. Drawing from her powers, she commanded the shadows to move her to a specific location and stepping out behind the thing she thought she'd seen, she gazed at the Green Goblin, evaluating her options.

Caught off guard, the Green Goblin blinked and wondered where the woman had vanished to. Wondering if she'd slipped into the building, he engaged the glider, making sure to keep it on stealth-mode and raising a few feet in the air, he peered about. As he stared at the last place the wannabe had been, he had just a couple seconds to realise that she'd somehow slipped behind him just as she came flying at him, planting her foot squarely in his back, causing him to sail forward in the process.

He watched the creature closely and observed its confusion at the offered meal. He had observed that the Man-Spider had hunted its meals in the past, but he had not considered that it would have a preference for taking only its own kills. He pondered for a moment what course of action might be understood by the creature, as it seemed language and gifts were ineffective. As he pondered he realized that up until this point he'd been treating the creature as he might one from the realm - as one that was domesticated. Perhaps the best way to handle it was to demonstrate something he knew it understood, something it had just displayed moments before - dominance.
He began to shift his form, not to inspire fear but rather in the hope of inspiring respect. Any such sentiment would be sufficient. In moments he'd taken a form not unlike that of the great beast that had previously ravaged Central Park in New York City.

Thomas rolled his eyes catching the crumpled up hundred he said, "Blaspheme, crumpling up a good hundred, shameful, money is power in this word, those who don't' have it crave it and those who have it crave more, money can make a man close to god, and could arguably defeat a god, so meh."

Returning the hundred to his pocket he said, "Besides, you talk pretty high and mighty for someone sleeping on a bench at a public park I thought you were homeless."

The last time Zeus had spoken to Baron Zemo, he had been given orders to take control of the facility in New York and prepare an attack that was to be launched when given the signal to. This order had easily been undertaken and for some time Zeus kept true to his orders. Not a single mistake had happened under his watch and Zeus had only had to execute 3 men to make sure that no one had any "human errors". The men who had been assigned to assist Zeus had been carefully looked over a chosen, they would not fail him. And if given the choice they would choose death before even utter a breath that betrayed Hydra. However, Zeus felt that was what he had been chosen for, the Baron had to have some sort of idea of what Zeus was capable of and he was convinced that was why the Baron had chosen him to serve Hydra.

Walking though the halls of the facility Zeus felt the phone in his pocket start to ring. Looking to the phone briefly before answering he felt reassured when the Baron's voice came over the line.
"Everything is as you ordered Baron. The weapon's have arrived without any problems and I await your order to strike. Just as you have requested." Zeus turned the corner as he spoke to the Baron Zemo on the secured phone line. All precautionary steps had been taken to ensure that SHIELD and Athena would not be able to get wind of anything that was going on at this Facility until it was far too late.

The Man-Spider watched as the leader of this realm shifted and took the form of a creature he had not seen in hundreds of years. Watching this, the Man-Spider began to move slowly to his left, circling the beast, wary. Something within his mind stirred and he was sure now that the leader meant to either show a sign of dominance or to kill him. Waiting, the Man-Spider would, every so often, swipe at the air. As it did so, he failed to see that his claws sometimes shifted with the light, becoming things of shadow that almost reached out, as if to tear at the creature before it.

Not far from where the Man-Spider faced the leader, another demon watched all this. Kreios, who'd had been wandering the underground caverns of Mephisto's realm all this time, watched all that was taking place. And than he had to pause. For some reason that he could not understand, Mephisto had vanished and the creature that he was sure that had attacked in the human realm appeared instead.

Wondering what game his master was playing, Kreios shifted in place and clenched his fist, summoning his own power to bear. As he did this, he also watched the Man-Spider, word having reached him that this creature was dangerous, seeing that it apparently could manipulate the shadows, but unsure to the full extent on how dangerous it could be.

The Green Goblin quickly righted himself and forcing the glider into a standard hover-position, he glared at the woman. As she came at him again, he cackled and swooped up and above her, restraining himself from doing anything at the moment. As she screamed out that he was a coward and would not face her properly, the Green Goblin making a tsk, tsk, tsk noise and than cackled out, "Perhaps I'll just make you pay now," and reaching down, he pulled a remote from his glider and waving it, he said, "I could drop them you know," when he saw he had her attention.

Quickly firing a line of webbing and feeling it catch hold on something, she prepared to deliver another blow, issuing a challenge to the hell-spawn, calling him a coward as she did so. But before she could land her blow, he made a noise, reached down and grabbed something. As he began to speak, May Parker shifted her tactics and landing on top of a metal box of some kind in a clumsy fashion, she listened as he explained how he could drop Peter and J Jonah.

Glaring up at him, she hissed out, "Tell me where they are or come down here so I can pummel the information from you, hell-spawn."

To her surprise, the Green Goblin cackled out that he had ever intention of letting know where his prisoners were. Indicating to a tall, nearby building, he explained, "They are there, in two separate locations on the roof. In minutes, whether I press the button on this device, they will fall. You must choose which to save," and flying higher, he cackled out, "Or you could ignore them and come after me as I punish the puny things far below."

It was a nice succinct answer with no 'umm' or 'but', just as he'd hoped and expected. He gave instructions and they were carried out. He couldn't ask for anything better.
"Sehr gut, Zeus," he replied. "Expect the order to follow shortly."
Following this brief exchange he contacted Viper, asking her like questions.
"Is everything prepared, Viper?"

"But of course, mein Baron," she cooed into the intercom. "Everything is going according to plan." And it had been. For the past 24 hours, Viper had seen to it that her facility was in peek working condition, her men briefed and primed, and the weapons ready for their debut. Now, at the epicenter of the underground lair, she sat in her makeshift war room surrounded by her most loyal of lackies, and, of course, the good Baron himself, in both voice and spirit.

"I'm almost hurt you have to ask," she chimed back, kicking her feet up with a malevolent grin. "Or is it you've just missed the sound of my voice?"
