The “lesser demon” shuddered a bit, then nodded and scurried away to Gabriel’s bidding. It was the same for everyone at LEGION and everyone knew it; if you didn’t like Aballam, don’t join, but if you didn’t like Gabriel, you’ll die. He had very little respect for anyone there and only wished to receive respect. Aballam, meanwhile, just didn’t care.

Upon hearing Gabriel’s voice however, the demoness squealed like a prepubescent girl and quickly gathered her little “present” from one of the tables. A reluctant and irritated Flureus followed from behind as she flew down the hall and Gabriel.

“Gaaaaaaaaaaaabriel!” she cried, grabbing him from behind (with one of her hands placed on relatively sensitive part). “Where were you off to my dear? Flu told me in a disheartening way you were trying to kill him” she said in a high pitched voice, “he’s very upset at you and so am I! How ever is my cute little Gabriel going to overpower me if he cannot put out the eternal flame of hell!”

She whirled around in front of him and pulled out what appeared to be the severed breast of a woman. “Honestly, you always take it like a b***h and it annoys me….”

Now she seemed almost –angry–.

Licking around the top of mound of flesh she looked at him with an irritated glare. “Am I going to have to switch to girls until you’re ready to slam –me– against the wall? I give you freedom and all you do is laze about! Well, I henceforth will not allow any of my minions, including myself, ******** you, man or woman. Not until you come back here ready to take firm action. Do you understand?”

“Mistress…” Flureus murmured from behind.

“Go get me Naamah” Aballam hissed. “I’m ******** bored.”

How could he know this new dawn's light....

Two weeks... two weeks and she still hadn't woken up. Would she ever wake up?

Thoughts like this ran through Rion Galford's mind constantly ever since he woke up the day after the nuclear explosion nearly wiped out Empire City. Lilly had been in a comatose state, and still was... and that worried him more than anything. After what had happened when he saw Lilly defend Troy, he could have sworn she had died... and that had to have been what caused him to falter for the second time; the first being when some superhuman with the ability to impose emotions on people forced him into a deep depression... and this time, just like last time, someone was there to grab the reins as soon as it happened... but this time, he wasn't held back by the limitations imposed on him by a collar.

This other side of Rion, whatever the hell it was, had somehow formed a sword made of solidified energy and something else, but he didn't know what. Whatever it was, the combined energy of this more destructive side and the blade allowed him to take on the TNT all on his own, to the point where he very well could have killed Elyse... but at what cost? It was for this reason that he tried to stay positive that Lilly would pull through, for every time he started to think otherwise, he could hear that sadistic voice in the back of his mind telling him I'm coming...

This had gone on for the past two weeks... though he could say one thing good did come out of this previous bout with his other side... he learned that, although he could not recreate the sword he used to cause havoc at TNT HQ, he could combine his energy with matter that he broke down, and form other things, ranging from small weapons to ammunition. He could only assume that, like his other powers, this other side of him could use this ability to a more destructive extent, thereby proving that Rion was indeed meant to destroy; a thought that also lingered in the back of his mind ever since the demonic form of Alanze said that he had no hope of being saved.

No... I can't think that.. Lilly's going to be okay, I'm sure of it... He thought to himself as he moved through the city, on a mission Troy had given him probably to take his mind off of the subject. He was kinda vague on what he should be looking for... just 'stuff they could use'. Whatever the case, it gave Rion a chance to really scope out the destruction Elyse had caused. To think that a superhuman contained so much power unnerved him... but what may have brought the chill to his spine was the fact that, at least for a short amount of time... he had been beating her, without breaking a sweat... at least, his other side was.

As he moved through the city, he came across a particular area that he knew well... this park... it was where he lost control for the first time. This was where it had all begun for him... he could remember the soldiers that surrounded him, forcing him to try and defend himself. It was at that point that he began to wonder... did his other side have anything to do with that as well? The event was vague to him, but he remembered losing control of his powers, then waking up, captured by the TNT... could it have been his other side that caused him to release that destructive pillar of energy? No. He had to stay away from those thoughts...

He headed a little ways away from the park before he found it... his old home. He sighed, almost expecting to find remains of his parents, though instead he found something on the door, which had fallen over in the blast, along with a large portion of the building. "...Gone on vacation... be back in a couple months..." He said to himself, with a sigh of relief. His parents were pretty well off... they decided to live in this part of town mainly because they weren't the type to live in big mansions... though he wondered how long they had been gone. Clearly they got out before the lockdown of the city.. but did they leave right after he was captured by the TNT? Or was it after that? He couldn't say for sure, but he was just glad that his family was safe somewhere else.

He then looked to the distance before suddenly disappearing, using his powers of teleportation to quickly move himself to another part of town, where hopefully he could find something useful for Troy... though he really did think Troy was just trying to keep him occupied so he didn't drive himself insane with worry. It was strange... the man he hated all this time, for being the one that placed Rion under his heel in the TNT... Rion had actually come to respect Troy, at least since including himself in the business of HERO... though he couldn't help but wonder why... everyone knew the story of Troy Winter, the man they called 'Death'... was he really so willing to change sides so quickly? It seemed almost too good to be true, at least to him... Whatever the case, he had a mission to complete at the moment. He continued his search for things they could use, supplies, food, maybe other survivors that could dedicate themselves to the cause of HERO... whatever.

....would change his life forever?

Unaware of what was happening around her Lilly still remained out from the fight from two weeks ago that ruined the entire city. Thankfully being taken care of properly Lilly would continued to worry others in if she'd ever come to wake up though so far she continued to keep proving nothing was to change anytime soon. She remained in the same position unless moved by the hand of someone else, she had no idea that Salem had gained flight, if Rion was alright, if Troy lived, anything. . .Troy's grasp on her hand was given back no response from her end though deep down Lilly would love all the support she could get and no doubt everyone in HERO were doing what they could for her. Though, when the room had been empty not even Leigh was around Lilly right now which was almost odd of her. . .Though, she probably couldn't stand the sight of Lilly just laying there like a vegetable. Though, who knew what was happening in Lilly's mind while she has been comatose for two weeks. . .Though, while Lilly laid there in the bed and not moving objects around her began to shift very slightly in their spot. . . At first it wasn't very noticeable but with every minute that began to pass the more visible it became, soon a book that had been laying on the floor had lifted from the ground about a good few off the ground and flew across the room in an almost violent manner.

Smaller objects were the main things to be tossed but larger items began to feel the affect and join in being tossed about, Lilly continued to rest on the bed in what looked like a peaceful sleep as the room around her began to grow violent. Though, her the bed she laid on began quack as an earthquake itself was happening. The bed wasn't stable enough to handle such motion after the huge shock from the nuclear explosion that had taken a toll on the building they lived in itself. The bed's legs gave way as if a large amount of weight had been added to bed but even though the bed itself crashed to the floor Lilly's body did not fall along with it like some lifeless body, instead Lilly's body wasn't even coming to reach the ground at this point though while this all happened her eyes still remained to rest closed as if she was still sleeping on the bed. The room continued to rumble and quake as objects refused to remain still, the room was lively and violent all at the same time. The IV in Lilly's arm was sent flying leaving where it had been left to bleed lightly as it wasn't done gentle for one. .Lilly's body began to drift into an upright stance, her eyes still refused to open while all this happened, was she even aware of all this happening? The noise and destruction happening around her? But by WHAT?

Lilly's body was showing the most life it had in two weeks, her head lifted up where for the first time her eyes came to open somewhat to only open part-way though they looked very out of it, like she was dazed where not even her pupils were coming to sight. The room could not stay still, this was all being caused from her without even knowing it. Without warning her arms shot out from her like they had when back at the TNT building where she was protecting Troy with her shield but this time by doing this action all the items in the room were sent violently flying towards the wall in front of her; breaking into the dry wall and damaging the room even more than what had been done before she got to it. Lilly's feet were about a good 3 inches from the floor, her hair seemed lively as if there was some wind current in the room to move it about. . .There was just a powerful tension of power filling the room that was emitting from Lilly's body where Lilly still hadn't fully come out of her state as she had no idea of what was happening. "Li. . .v . .e. . ." Lilly's meekly spoke, her voice very soft and quiet like she had just spoken for the first time in her life. . .Lilly was unaware of her surroundings and not knowing what had happened after she took the hit who knew if she was aware she was even alive.

Troy was startled from the noises, the rumbling, on two counts: first off, it was surprising to know that noise was coming from a place no noise should be...and secondly, the apartment was hit with a nuclear blast, the whole thing could collapse if not careful. Troy entered into Lilly's room, to see her floating in midair and moving objects with her mind, Lilly seemed somewhat awake, though barely, which surprised Troy even more,
"Lilly?" He asked softly, avoiding a flying book as he walked closer to her,
"Lilly...you're not dead..." He said softly, a sigh of relief coming from his mouth. He approached carefully, making sure to avoid the many flying objects,
"Lilly, if you can hear me...try to make this stop...this building isn't able to handle much and could collapse if you keep going." He approached her, wrapping his arms around her,
"You're safe with us, Lilly, it's me, Troy, wake up sunshine." He said softly to her, trying to lay her back in the bed. He was happy to see she was awake and well, with a new power nonetheless, he just hoped she didn't have some sudden outburst and cause the place to collapse upon itself.

The second she heard the name 'Troy' Lilly reacted clearly, her eyes opening more than before, being suddenly wrapped in his arms Lilly's body came to ease perfectly against his. Her arms instinctively came to wrap around his upper torso as the room now became calm, no more items were moving nor was there any more violent actions from this new power she had calm across. "Troy. . ." Lilly's mind was in a whirlwind, where was she for one and what happened? She didn't speak up about it as she currently kept her tightest grasp around Troy as she could. . .Not being that tight as her body wasn't as strong as normal for only laying still for 2 weeks straight. Troy was mainly only reason her body was standing up at this point, her eyes were open and looking around the unknown room. . .Her grasp on Troy was kept there as worry and concern began to sink in. "Where. . .Are we? Where is everyone? Is everyone okay?! Rion?! Leigh?!" Lilly began to panic, were they alive at this point?

Tears began to weld up in Lilly's eyes as she continued to panic, her breathing pattern began to pick up as her body quaked against Troy, at this moment he was her safety net and she was just thankful to know he was alive. Her body felt much different than before. . .More frail, what happened? Her mind was covered in fog and the more she tried to figure out the more she was giving herself a headache. "You're alive though. . .You kept your promise to me. ." Lilly's forehead rested against Troy's chest, she had no idea what day it was, what time, anything and it scared the daylights out of her. . .Where was Rion and the others anyway? Lilly's legs struggled to help support herself up but they felt weak and flimsy. "What happened. . ?" Lilly asked in a worried tone of voice, she looked like she woke up in a whole different world and couldn't put two and two together. Lilly refused to release herself from Troy, her fingers grasping his shirt as best they could.

Troy smiled lightly, looking down at the top of her head as he laid her down in bed, he grabbed a nearby seat and took it, leaving her to lay in bed,
"Shhh-shh-shh. Calm down, Lilly. We're all alive." He grabbed her hand gently, looking down at her from his seat,
"I promised I would fight through Hell to keep your promise. Now what the hell were you thinking taking that attack for me? I should scold you for that! You're so foolish to think you could have blocked that...but I'm so happy you're alive I won't say anymore on that." He smiled softly, leaning back in his chair,
"After you took that hit for me you passed out, been in a coma for two weeks now. After I killed Elyse the group and I headed for shelter...Elyse let out an outburst of Nuclear Energy...let's say the city is not in great shape right now. The TNT has been destroyed though, but no one can get in or out of the city so we're stuck here for a while. We came here for shelter, we're in some apartment complex, I think Salem used to stay here before he came to HERO, so this is where we are. It's been two weeks...and I think you have a new power." He stood up from the chair,
"You must be starving after all that time not eating. Want some food? I think I can whip up a can of ravioli." He smirked, crossing his arms,
"I'll make sure Salem gets word out that you're awake, once he finds Rion he'll bring him back. Okay?" He asked, going to get her a can of heated ravioli fixed up.

Troy went into the living room,
"Lilly's alive and awake, she'll be out for a little while I'm sure, she's been in that bed for two weeks. Salem, fly over the city, see if you can find Rion, make sure he knows she's awake, he'll want to come back immediately. Seth, help me heat the ravioli for Lilly." He said, then looked to Salem,
"Find Leigh too, she'll want to know." With that, Salem left the room to follow out what Troy asked for.

So many times I've tried
But I'm still caged inside
Somebody get me through this nightmare
I can't control myself

Two painful weeks. 14 agonizing days. 336 excruciating hours since the explosion that wrecked a third of the city, tearing through millions upon millions of civilians, destroying lives, shattering families. One of the surviving citizens of Empire City, superhuman, now sat against a tree, silent. Unkempt ebony hair fell over his eyes as he sat immaculately still, the tears having long since ceased. Dirt and grime were smudged onto his skin, caught under his claws. Blood was caked onto and around his dry lips. Within his mind, he was still screaming out in pure, unrestrained agony. He had lost his father, a once great superhero, to lung cancer in terminal phase. To honor his father, he vowed to protect the city, even if his life depended on it. However... he broke it wordlessly when he learned of his mother's death within the blast. Emotions brewed deep within him, conflicting, clashing. He simply left his old life behind, deciding to live for himself, as everyone once dear to him was now dead. A furry little brown critter, with a black and white stripe down his back, sniffed at the dirt-encrusted fingers of the seemingly dead young man. It climbed up his body, which at the moment was clad in only a pair of maroon kevlar tights, black boots, and a black utility belt. Digging its tiny, curved little clash into the bare flesh of his torso, it sniffed at his chin, round black eyes curious, until it was suddenly gripped by a strong hand.

Squeaking wildly, the trapped critter squirmed and struggled, attempting fruitlessly to escape the vice grip it was now caught in. But before it had the chance to, the hand, belonging to the once immobile man, brought the chipmunk's head to his bloody lips, which parted slowly to reveal a pair of sharp, dangerous fangs, those of which proceeded to clamp down violently on its head, ending its sharp cries. He turned his head slightly to the left and spat out the severed head, tearing the critter open with his index claw and allowing blood to flow freely from its gut, pressing aforementioned lips to the fresh slit and drinking the sweet nectar of the creature's blood, savoring it. He then dug his strong fangs into the dead flesh, tearing off a shred of furry flesh, which he also spat out; he hated the taste of fur, it retained the taste of soil, often had pieces of dead leaves and other such crap lodged in there. the piece of flesh skipped along the forest floor a moment, gently nudging the saliva-covered head of the chipmunk he was now indulging himself in. Now that the guts were fully exposed, the miniature feat could finally begin. He buried his mouth into the belly, biting, chewing, gnawing at intestines, through the liver, into the stomach, getting a small taste of the creature's last meal through the iron-flavored blood, swallowing whenever his mouth was full of masticated animal flesh.

Upon closer inspection, the man who feasted on the poor forest creature had a pair of fox-like ears on his head, poking out of the mass of dark hair, and a thick, furry fox tail at the and of his spine. Using both hands and pulling away from the nearly cleaned-out stomach, he tore open the fragile ribcage, revealing lungs and heart. He sank his bloody fangs once more into the tender flesh, tearing, grinding, chopping it in his mouth. Every so often, eh would pause and spit out a piece of bone or flesh he would accidentally get into his mouth, before continuing to to feast on it insides. Before long, he found himself picking away at what was left of meat on the corpse, stripping the flesh from the bone. He tossed to carcass to the side, along with other pieces of the poor creature. Fresh blood now had dribbled down his chin to his neck, a few droplets making their way down his chiseled, athletic torso. Though the defenseless forest critters cries had long since ended, the fox-man felt something was amiss. There was a trembling of the ground... he could feel it stepping towards him, hear its loud sniffing, smell the fish on its breath. Slowly, as not to alert the beast, he stood, turning to face it.

Just as he suspected. A black bear, it had smelled the meal and wanted a share, but everything edible from it was already gone. It went for the carcass, but the fox-man took a heavy step in its direction, growling lowly. The bear let out a menacing growl standing on its hind legs, towering over him at six feet. It quickly swung a paw, but the fox-man was, quick, and it was easily dodged. However, as the bear fell back on its four legs, it tried again to swat him, a move he did not foresee. He was knocked into the tree he once sat under, with such force that he though a rib had been cracked, not to mention the claw wounds resulting. Grunting in pain, he sent a flying knee into the bear's nose, momentarily disorienting him while he slashed at its throat with his claws. Now the beast was bleeding profusely, the claws had made their mark; the jugular was torn. To finish it before it could retaliate, he shot both hand to the momentarily opened mouth, pulling its lower jaw downwards from the rest of its head, in an attempt to rip its jaw open. It struggled to shut its jaw, to bite down hard on the attacking fingers, but it could not save itself. With a sickening CRACK the beast's jaw broke open, and it succumbed to its wounds, falling over on its side.

Panting, the fox-man, once having gone by the name Micheal Bassara, now calling himself only Foxman, fell to his knees, placing his left hand against the bark of the tree and placing his right hand over the recently-inflicted claw wounds. Another day he was living through, without aid from anyone, without making any ties. That was how he was prepared to live the remainder of his life. He took a few deep breaths, then slowly stood once more, one foot calmly, gently placed before the other as he made his way to the cool, running water of the nearby stream. He fell to his knees once more, this time, his hands clutching the edge of the stream. He tried to search the reflection for a familiar face, but all that stared back at him was a madman, lips caked with blood, slitted amber eyes wild, hair unkempt, and slightly torn ears. Shaky breaths could be heard coming from him, his hands gripping into tight fists as he bared his bloody teeth. tears welled up in his eyes once more as that pain returned.

It began as a low, broken growl, the tears brimming to the edge as he remembered his heart being broken by a woman he had risked his life for. He whimpered slightly, tears falling slowly from the outside corners of his feral eyes at first while he remembered his father, dead in his arms. Finally, he remembered his home, nothing but rubble now, his mother crushed under it. Tilting his head back, he let out an agonized scream, feeling his insides being ripped apart by grief, his heart in a vice from the emotional suffering, his pained yells heard for miles and lasting nearly half a minute before he took a breath and slammed a fist into the ground, his tears falling to the cool, clear water of the stream, the wildlife around him silent as he.

Gabriel Adams
-Savior to LEGION-

User Image

Gabriel scoffed, waving off Aballam's threats, literally, by waving his hand,
"Whatever." He replied, looking towards the demon which brought him his fruit punch, which he immediately froze and dropped on the floor,
"I've masturbated most of my life, if forcing sex onto you is what it takes to get more...I won't bother. I can jerk off the rest of my life if that's the case." Gabe walked away from Aballam, leaving her and LEGION HQ behind as he went for a walk, something he hadn't done since he even gained control of his powers. Gabriel was a messed up, confused sort, all his life he was taught to do the right thing, do what was right and expected out of him and to always help people whenever possible; it was the reason he spent many years a 24/7 drunk or druggie, to keep his powers in check and stop them from killing people, but the moment he gained control, could live a normal life, the TNT captured him and made him their b***h, turning him into something his parents would resent for the rest of his life, then the moment the collar is shut off, the moment he could try a normal life again, back to doing what his parents wished for him, he was caught up in LEGION and quite literally used...at first...then given the total freedom and power to command anyone within that wretched place, making him no better than what he was with the collar on, only this time no one was really controlling him.

Gabriel, a massive pervert, was finally getting all the sex he could want or handle, from all the different kinds of woman he could handle, he could do, literally, anything he wanted to the woman in LEGION and they couldn't say no, because he was their savior for whatever reason! Hell, they never truly explained what the hell he did to be considered their savior, all he knew was he killed Alazne under the influence of the collar, but how could some church girl's death possibly make him a savior to them? Perhaps she was a crusader against them, or she was holding the power to kill them...who knows? No one really explained it to him, he just knew he was like a God to them, and they let him get away with murder! To a man who did so much to save lives, he was being rewarded everything he could possibly want: power, freedom, all the women he could want! It was truly a wonderful feeling, it was as if he gained his 72 virgins after a suicide bombing...!

Nevertheless, Gabriel felt an empty feeling in a place he ignored weeks ago, a place which tried to talk, but was always silenced: his heart. His heart was empty, sure he was happy and enjoying himself, but he wasn't fulfilled, yet he was so ashamed of what he was doing he just...couldn't stop, like he was addicted to the feeling of what he got out of it, and the sickening part was: he enjoyed it sometimes. Gabriel needed to definitely sort out his thoughts and feelings, but for now he stuck with LEGION, unsure why he did such a thing, and until something happened to make him think otherwise, LEGION seemed like a good fit...not like he would be accepted anywhere else or live comfortably on his own.

Gabriel neared a park, it was in a more suburban area of the city, still affected by the nuclear blast, the riots and panic, but it was also a sort of calming, soothing area...grass was still somewhat green, trees weren't completely dead, it was definitely one of the prettier places within the city. Gabe suddenly stopped in his tracks, a feeling of dread and excitement washed over him like a waterfall...there was Rion, Alazne's former pal and former TNT member. If Gabe was also correct, he and that red head girl Lilly had a thing going on, which only added to the excitement he was feeling. Yes, if anything else, Gabriel could easily mess with him a little before hightailing it out of there.

Approaching from a distance, then making a shrill whistle from between his lips, he sought Rion's attention,
"Well well! If it isn't the former TNT soldier, Rion! Fancy seeing you here, thought you died in the blast, not that lucky huh? So what's up my little b***h friend? Wondering why God has forsaken you too? I haven't seen you at chu - uuhhhhoooo yeah, last I saw her she was huddling around a pool of blood, but boy was she looking fine, I'm not into necrophilia but for Alazne...oh yeah, I'd make the exception. Tight little body, busty, mmm yeah. I hope you're not pining over her, she's long dead, but you must move quick, I hear you've got someone else already, I wonder if she knows you like religious girls? Should I stop? Digging a hole here? No problem...I like holes, the lower you are, the better view you have of underneath a girl's skirt, and some just don't wear panties...heheh aww yeah. That's the best kind of girl, a whore...that redhead was just like that, I could see all the way down her pants...yeah, she totally wanted me. Oh wait, sorry, that's your girlfriend, haha my bad, better keep her on a leash."

Gabriel taunted, teased, thought of whatever he could to get Rion's blood boiling, but the coup de grâce of the entire thing would be the last comment he mentioned of Alazne,
"Alazne...I know she liked you...even drunk, I could see the way she looked at you, I wonder if she'd be resting in peace knowing you didn't even mourn her long enough to stay out of another girl's bed. I bet...you were the last thing she thought of before her body turned ice cold." The temperature lowered slowly in the area, frost began to form on the leaves and grass, Rion and Gabe's breath could be seen, Gabriel definitely knew Rion would strike now...

It had been two weeks, hadn't it? Azaela sighed, leaning her head back to hit against the tree. She had found the forest a safe haven for her since animals were the only thing that were going to bother her. Animals, however, knew better than to sneak up on her. Whenever she did sense them, she stayed out of their way as much as she could. Azaela had no reason to even try and get into a fight. If she did, she would be afraid she would loose it and revert back to Ama. Azaela had kept off the accidents for years, so after the near destruction of the town, she was not going to get even close. If she lost it, there wasn't much to stop her. Everything that she loved was gone and Azaela had no one to care for. It was quite sad, really. Azaela just wished she was able to meet someone she could trust. However, it was every man for himself since the explosion. With food and water running low, there wasn't much more time until everyone died off. There was no way off the island and the people outside wanted it to stay that way. They all thought that were "radioactive" and were going to put the whole human race to an end.

Her ivory eyes scanned the blank area in front of her. Her vectors moved slowly, only rumaging the leaves around. If Azaela didn't hear an intruder coming, at least the leaves would give them away. Her vectors formed a safe and secure barrier above her head, making so no aerial menace could come bother her either. Chasing away animals or even humans was a hard task. Azaela wanted to stay with them, but she couldn't trust them. Azaela could trust no one. Without the sight she desired, she wouldn't be able to have actually trust. She has only been able to to tell once or twice if a person was lying. She had to get away from them. All they were interested in were her strong vectors. Azaela even hated using them to get food. Whenever she could, she ate fruits and vegetables. However, those were running low as well as everyone else. Azaela could just feel the weight melting off her body. If it weren't for her vectors, Azaela would be too weak to fend for herself.

The breeze blew past her skin, causing her to shiver. She pulled the nearly see-through jacket closer to her body. She had to get rid of a few clothes to actually get around more easily. The long and flowing jacket was more of a safety blanket than anything. Her top was covered but only barely with a black sports bra. She kept he pants, although she has had the urge to cut them into shorts. Temperatures were getting a bit hotter than usual. It wasn't like Azaela could walk into a mall and get something else to wear. She could steal it, but no doubt the mall was already clean. Two weeks can get to people. Azaela slightly felt it was getting to her. She had nothing to do all day. No one to talk to. Mostly she was by herself, staring down at the ground with a blank expression. Azaela was slowly slipping into depression which was really no surprise to her. What would you feel like if you were by yourself for so long? It was maddening.

Azaela was getting bored. There was no food around here anymore. It had been her safe haven for a couple of days, but just recently she had run out of fruit to munch on. She had to start watching her appetite. It just seemed everytime she ate, she felt hungrier. Her vectors grasped the earth underneath her and pushed her up. She stretched out and yawned, pullling the jacket around her. It didn't give her much warmth, but at least she had something else around her. She touched the tree behind her and smiled. She walked further into the forest and stepped her bare feet on the cold dirt. It made her feel very calm for a few moments. She kept reminding herself in her head that she needed to find a good pair of shoes or something. Just last week her shoes started falling apart. No matter what, shoes don't last that well. She doubted she would find another pair anyway. She sighed, listening to the rocks cracking under her feet. There was a weird smell in the air, but Azaela couldn't make it out. It almost smelled like blood. She shrugged, letting her vectors hit against the trees near her.

After awhile, the familiar scent of fruit entered her nostrils. She smiled and let her vectors pick herself up to reach them. It was a small apple, but at least it was there. She took a small bite into it and bit her lip. Ah, that was a little sour. She should have let it stay there for at least a week, but how on earth could she tell if it was ripe or not? Only taste. Azaela sighed and took another bite, even if it made her want to throw up. It was food, wasn't it? Not good food, but it had some nutrition. After she ate it to the core, she threw it aside and kept searching. If she didn't find another dependable food source, she would have to try and catch something. Azaela didn't like that.

FOXMAN

User ImageI can't escape this hell
So many times I've tried
But I'm still caged inside
Somebody get me through this nightmare
I can't control myself

Once again, Foxman bucked up, vowing to stay strong in such times as these. The feral influence of his Instinct was fading, but still clung on. That was what he was now: a beast. That was why he lived here in the forest, far from civilization,, hunting like the animal he had become. After a few deep breaths, ensuring the pain had wafted away for the moment, he knelt over the stream, his water source and the place where he groomed himself, splashing, the cool, clean water onto his face and scrubbing away the blood of the innocent chipmunk from earlier. Staring into the reflection once more as the ripples on the surface died down, he smiled as he recognized his face once more. He also realized how dirty he was from the day's activities, and sat back to remove the black boots on his feet, then stood, unclasping the utility belt about his waist and letting it drop around him and finally peeled down the Kevlar tights which clung so to his strong, athletic legs. He stood there naked a moment, gazing upon the sudden line where his body went from grimy, dirty and bloody to perfectly clean; his waist. Thanks to all the physical activity he went through from training, he never had to worry about weight gain.

He took another moment just to stretch his sore, tired muscles, then stepped into, the cold water instantly sending shivers up his legs, then sat, enduring the cold as part of training. He started by forcing his claws to shrink back to fingernails so he could avoid injuring himself, then vigorously scrubbed beneath them, cleaning out the dirt and blood. He then glanced to the claw wound on his side, which would soon cease to bleed entirely. He ducked down to allow water to flow at the wound, grunting as it stung. He endured the pain however, sitting up once more as the wound was cleaned out. He then resumed cleaning the rest of his body from dirt and blood, eventually bringing his hands up to part the bangs from his eyes, allowing him to see clearly with slitted navy blue eyes, then finally reaching under the water to clean his sensitive part. He did indeed miss hot showers, but a cold bath was good for character, built up endurance. After two weeks of it, he'd gotten used to the cold. In fact, he had even begun to love it. He lay back against the stream's bank, closing his feral eyes as he took a deep whiff of the surrounding aromas. The smell of acorns hanging in trees, the fresh smell of dew clinging to the leaves, the rotting stench of the previously killed chipmunk (not so pleasant), a humanoid presence-- !!!

Foxman's eyes shot open as he realized that he was no longer alone. Someone had come to threaten him. Without taking the time to clothe himself, he leaped out of the water, fangs bared as he landed on all fours, claws digging into the dirt, wild eyes menacing. It appeared to be a young woman of his age, perhaps a bit younger, was picking fruits in the trees. What was human in him told him that she meant no harm whatsoever and he should just try to avoid her. But the dominant side of him at the moment, his Instinct, the Fox, told him that she was threatening the sanctity of his home. He growled lowly, feral eyes watching her as he slowly stepped closer... closer... but then, his humanity took over for a slight moment, and he began to sniff at her, trying to detect whether she was a threat or not through his sense of smell. After perhaps 15 seconds, he pulled away, sitting straight as his eyes widened to more humanoid pupils, his claws shrinking once more into fingernails, watching her next move.

So what if you can see the darkest side of me?
No one will ever change this animal I have become
Help me believe it's not the real me
Somebody help me tame this animal I have become
Help me believe it's not the real me
Somebody help me tame this animal

Coming in contact with someone was the last thing Azaela expected. When she heard the low growling, the first thing that came to her mind was a feral animal. The least she expected was a mutated human. Perhaps he was sort of like her? Azaela, nonetheless, gulped and clung to the tree next to her for safety. She let her vectors surround her and she carefully listened to his movements. He moved closer, but wasn't making any swift actions to attack her. Azaela stayed as far away as she was able to, knowing she had most likely disturbed what he was doing. Perhaps this part of the forest was his home? Azaela cowered and bit at her lip, her blank ivory eyes staring blankly out at him. She could only sense him, so she did not know if he was on her side or with the TNT. Azaela never knew who she could trust.

When she heard sniffing sounds, Azaela let her guard down a bit. She stepped from behind the tree and tilted her head at him. Her vectors went behind her and Azaela took a few steps. She felt the leaves crunch under her feet and Azaela cringed. The last thing she wanted to do was scare him. She gulped as she felt his presence get closer to her. She lowered herself to the ground and held out her hand slowly. She was shaking slightly, mostly because she was slightly afraid of him hurting her. Some people she could deal with, but she refused to hurt any animal. This person was most definitely part animal, just by his actions. However, she wasn't going to be faltered. If he attacked, she would be ready.

Being placed back on the bed Lilly didn't like the idea of laying down right now but her body wasn't strong enough to move as much as before, as Troy tried to calm her and held her hand she kept the tightest grasp on his hand as she was able to. Her body was a bit in shock for resting for so long and lacking with information to calm her but hearing everyone was alive was the thing she wanted to hear most of all. Being reminded how she had taken that hit for Troy Lilly paused and looked a bit spaced for a moment. . .Trying to remember how it all happened, that's right. . .She jumped in front of Troy and used her shield to protect him. . .But then. . .The last bit was a blurry. Though, Troy filled her in but hearing the two weeks. . .TWO WEEKS?! Lilly looked at Troy as if she saw a ghost. "T-Two weeks?!" She couldn't believe it, to her it felt like one nights rest but in reality it's been two weeks?! Troy continued to speak as Lilly listened, the city was in ruins and that woman who was trying to kill Troy was killed. . .A bit of relief was felt on that note, she didn't have to worry about that crazed perverted woman. . .

Though something Troy said grasped Lilly's attention, he had a new power? "A new power. . ?" As Troy continued and mentioned how she must be hungry Lilly hadn't even thought about her stomach as so much has come to happen while she was out. . .Her stomach was empty but her nerves would make eating difficult. "Uh. . .Tro-" He had already left the room, it sucked how her body wasn't feeling normal but being told she was out for two weeks. . .Well, Troy isn't the type to play a prank at all or joke around, much, or especially on such a topic. "Two weeks. . .The city is no longer a city it sounds. . .And. . .Troy has a new power? Do the others as well?. . .What has everyone been doing since I've been out. . ?" The thought of Rion quickly popped in her head and it was strange not seeing him around, frowning she dismissed the thought from her mind for the time being. Her body felt like getting up and moving would be a great hassle and didn't have the energy for it; how badly she wanted to move around and check things out. . .

Looking at her right hand she had no idea what had happened when she had woken, was all that a dream or. . ? Trying to think back on it gave her a headache and she simply shrugged it off and dubbed it a 'dream' for now unless proven otherwise. At this point she didn't want to close her eyes even though they still felt heavy and tired, the fear of going back in a coma was high and she didn't want to risk it even though she would most likely be fine but she just wanted to be extra careful.
Codename: Vector
-TNT Special Operations: First Class-

The sight inside Empire City was dismal, bleak, the TNT had decided under extremely secret and classified circumstances to send a Spec Ops agent or two into the city to assess the situation, anyone who came across them may recognize them as TNT, battling them would for the stupid, killing them meant never seeing another sunrise, as it would be promised that the TNT would either completely finish off what was left of the city, or annihilate anyone who killed such a high ranking soldier. As the sun was beginning to slowly set, a wave of red washed over the city, the sunset was breathtaking, especially after such ugliness within the city itself, as the sun slowly began to set for the night, a TNT soldier was dropped in, a helicopter coming and going from the city...no supplies were dropped, no news was made, it was under total secrecy. When he made his landed, he stood tall and firm, scanning the area in front of him before moving forward.

He was 5'11", maybe 6 feet total, an athletic build hidden behind the TNT gear he was wearing, complete stealth goggles and face mask covering his entire head, his hair, his eyes, the goggles were tri-goggles, similar to a certain Splinter Cell, and just as functional; the mask had a gas mask built in, allowing him to breath in any circumstances. The suit itself had patches lined about the waist and arms, for ammo, grenades, whatever the soldier had to carry, made of high-impact prototype kevlar strength material, capable of stopping rifle rounds from 20 feet, though the soldier was confident he would feel a hard bruise in the morning. He also held a few superpowers, making him more of a deadly force than with his weapons alone, of which he had about 7 main weapons: 2 SMGs, 2 pistols (unsilenced), 2 combat knives and 1 tranquilizer gun. Ironic that the first soldier to hit the streets of the city since the explosion would carry a non-lethal or LTL standard weapon (LTL standing for Less Than Lethal, a term the TNT would utilize once in a while for high-profile targets they didn't wish to be killed). The SMGs were strapped to his lower back, the tranquilizer just above them reachable with his right hand, his pistols were on either thigh and his knives were positioned so one was on him left arm and one on the right side of his chest. He also held some grenades, flash bang grenades and smoke grenades in his various pouches, as well as ammo for his weapons.

The soldier's real name was unknown, like his hair color, eye color, even so much as his favorite food; he went by the codename Vector, given to him by the TNT, but a name he has come to utilize often.

Vector, having struck the ground after airlifted by the helicopter into the city's zone, began his walk forward into the madness, determined to accomplish his mission goals. When he talked, a small clicking sound was heard, no doubt to allow others to hear what he had to say, as it could be easily assumed his voice was muffled behind the mask,
"Initial observation: City is in ruins, what buildings stand don't seem willing to stand long, the people riot freely, taking what they can, panic in the streets. Initial conclusion: The city isn't worth saving. Will expand my conclusion and observation as time passes, beginning mission, Vector out." Another clicking sound was heard from Vector's mask, possibly shutting off the enhancement to his voice. He walked along the sidewalk heading towards his destination, the rioting and panicked individuals not seeing him or not caring, but someone did. As Vector passed by an alleyway, a person with a gun shot out from the shadows of the alley, pointing the gun at Vector,
"S-stop where you are! Gimme your stuff and all your money!" The man threatened, cocking the gun. Vector didn't move, he did, however, turn his head to see the gunman better,
"You're threatening a Tactical Neutralization Team soldier, back down and you won't be harmed."
"TNT? Your s**t will help me, give it to me! NOW!"
"Your bullet won't even puncture my armor, put down the weapon and move on."

The man argued with Vector, threatening him some more, but Vector didn't bother to give in to the threat, then the man became nervous, a small girl ran to the scene, scared, looking for her mom, her loud shrill voice startled the gunman, and a shot rang out, the child fell to the floor, a pool of blood surrounding the body. Vector quickly turned to the gunman, people around stopped their actions to look, some were angry, some ran, others quickly gathered around to prevent the gunman from leaving.

In a rapid succession of movement, Vector liberated the gun from the gunman, knocking him to his knees and holding the gun pointed towards the gunman's head,
"W-w-wait! I didn't mean that! You-you can't shoot me! You're TNT! You work for the people!"
"Tactical Neutralization Team protocol 2.38-9 states any civilian threatening a TNT soldier with deadly force can be put down."
"You're not cops, man! You kill me it's murder! You're not above the law!"
"The TNT is not above the law...we are the law." Vector fired, the man's body dropped, in a few short seconds he took apart the gun and threw the pieces in different directions. The fact he revealed himself to be TNT brought a wealth of questions and statements, none of which he answered:
"TNT? You guys came to help us, right?!"
"Does this mean you're going to bring supplies?"
"TNT is gonna help us after all!"
"Thank you so much!"
"I thought the TNT abandoned us!"
"We need food! Please bring us some food!"
"Tell the TNT we need help!!"

Vector walked away from the crowd, leaving their questions unanswered, he wasn't sure if the TNT would abandon the city or not, so far Vector was the voice on that decision, whether or not it was worth it, as he was alone again, he made another transmission,
"Secondary Observation: People are nervous, panicky, civilians will do what it takes to live and are twitchy, little girl, under 10, murdered by a gunman wanting my weapons. People have high hope and high opinion of the TNT still. Secondary Conclusion: Perhaps keeping the city alive would be a better choice, as public opinion is still in TNT favor. Continuing mission, now searching for former TNT Regional Commander, Troy Winter."

How could he know this new dawn's light....

Sighing as he still found nothing of real use to their cause, Rion soon found himself in an area that didn't look quite as devastated... at least in the sense that things were still thriving in this park. He felt a calming feeling as he saw that there was still hope for this city to live on... and if a city could survive a nuclear blast like this, then just about anything was possible, and he felt that way in regards to Lilly pulling through as well. It was when he heard a whistle that caused him to look over at Gabriel that things began to go south. Here he was... the man that had killed Alazne and caused that... -thing- to show up. Rion wasn't sure what to do... the collar he had must have been deactivated, especially after the explosion... perhaps he had changed? Maybe he was here to apologize...

It was after Gabe began to speak that Rion realized how wrong he was. Even without the collar, Gabriel hadn't changed one bit, still taunting him about how he killed Alazne, before getting on the subject of Lilly. It was then that Rion's calm expression slowly turned into a scowl. Who the hell was he to talk like he knew Lilly... and then calling her a whore? He continued to glare at Gabriel, all the while his new-found ability began to silently manifest, as pieces of the ground around him quietly disappeared, being broken down into particles of matter... as for what exactly Rion was doing? Gabriel would come to find that out as he made one last comment about Alazne and how she may have had feelings for Rion.. before delivering some lame pun about ice while the temperature in the area began to drop.

It didn't take more than a second for Rion to suddenly disappear. When he reappeared, all Gabriel would see was a very up-close look at a gloved fist... at least that's what it appeared to be. Using his new ability, Rion had made a kind of glove over his hand, similar to one that would be seen on an MMA fighter... but this one, combined with Rion's energy, would deliver a much more potent punch, which would also be seen as the gauntlet released the pent-up energy in the form of a very short range, but forceful blast that would more then likely send Gabriel flying... but Rion wasn't done there. He would then proceed to teleport again, reappearing above Gabriel and sending him downward in a flying tackle, causing his back to tear across the ground before finally he had no momentum, before Rion stood up, glaring down at Gabriel.

"It's all your fault.... I should've just killed you when I had the chance... but no, I thought you could've been helped. I figured maybe, just maybe, there was a way to break that damn collar's hold on you... And what happened? You had to go and kill Alazne... You had to go and make that damn demon show up. But you know what? I'm gonna fix that mistake right here, right now..." He said in a cold tone, as he already formed his signature weapon, a formation of energy that rush outward and tapered off at a point, like a lance. "Get up, you b*****d... I want to see you at least try to fight back before I finish what I should've finished a long time ago!" He yelled, clearly angered by Gabriel's comments, every single one of them... but with that being said, anger for Rion was a good thing... it gave him a reason to fight... gave him a reason not to give in to that other side of him.

....would change his life forever?

Troy had finished the ravioli, letting Lilly's question hit the backburner for the moment as he grabbed her some food, with Seth's help in heating it, as the apartment had no gas; and for the better, it would probably only help to cause the apartment to explode. Once the food was heated and warmed, he noticed the sunset and smirked, glad to know Lilly was awake to see it. He returned to her bedroom with a bowl of ravioli and smiled, putting it on the table to cool down,
"Okay, first of all, yes it's been two weeks, probably why your body hurts, you haven't used it for that long. Secondly, yes, I noticed as I came in you were moving things with your mind, you have telekinesis, I can probably help you train in it when you're up and about. The city is in chaos, but the TNT have been driven away from the city, we can help rebuild the city without TNT influence." He sat down on the chair with a small sigh, looking at Lilly and grabbing her hand gently.

"So far the others have gained new powers too, they've been using the two weeks to train, or so I assume. Stay awake sweetheart, alright? I wouldn't want you fall asleep so quickly after the coma, you might slip back in. Give your body time to adjust to being awake." Troy slowly helped Lilly to sit up, she needed to start moving around to get her muscles used to moving again, otherwise she might as well lay in bed the rest of her life,
"Everything is going to be okay now, we won, after all that, we won the battle, we'll finish the war and no one has to worry about the TNT anymore." He looked at Lilly, looking into her eyes,
"We should help you walk around, think you can do it with my help?" He asked softly.
