Shae O'Rordian - The School Teacher

Shae was sitting quietly in a chair outside the room the stranger had been resting in. A glass of water in her hand, she ran her finger idly around the rim. It had been refilled three times since she'd been sitting there, which was about an hour or so.
Taking it upon herself, Shae had gone out only once to walk the horse to Shae's small ranch. She figured the lady's horse could use a rest too considering it must have been out as long as she had been and she had fallen off the horse! Besides, her horse could use the company...She'd simply left anything she found on the horse, just inside her front door and come back to Fie's room.

The sound of shuffling from inside caught the school teacher's attention and since Fie was nowhere in sight, she decided she'd have a looksy for herself.
Setting the water atop a very narrow end table, Shae got to her feet and pressed her hand gently against the door frame. She knocked lightly, waiting only a moment before she stepped inside and peeked around the edge of the door.

"Hey, you're awake. That's a good sign and so is the color in your cheeks," she said, realizing she'd probably come across as babbling, Shae smiled and bowed her head a bit, her own cheeks rushing with color.
"Sorry, I'm Shae O'Rordian. My friend Fie and I helped you once you fell. Oh! And I took care of your horse. He's at my place and your belonging are there too. Safe and sound."

Offering a kind smile, Shae opened the door a bit wider. "I'd say welcome to Phoenix, but...it wasn't much of a welcome, huh?" A slight chuckle escaped her lips as she spoke.

Sophia's mind was still a bit fuzzy. All the woman's words seem to melt together and it took her a few moments before she responded. "I appreciate your helping me" she said softly as she got her bearings a bit better. "Adder" she said lightly rubbing her own shoulder. She was clean, it seemed no speck of dust was on her. Her lips were chapped yet not nearly as terrible as they had been. Her muscles were sore but that was to be expected. After her intense ride and her long fall from the horse it would be odd if she didn't feel something. Slowly she rose from her position and steadied herself on the post. Her lilac eyes focused on her host and she offered a smile in return. The people here seem nice enough, and it seems they know nothing of her history. Which is a good thing if she wanted to recover in peace. "Is there anywhere I could stay?" she said hobbling over to her smaller things and began to get herself into order. After cinching the belt she turned and one leg gave out for a moment and she almost fell but caught herself just in time. Must have been dehydrated more than I thought... she thought as she sat down on a nearby chair.

Now lets take a look around: in someone's room...

John McCoy

"The Town Drunk"

After about an hour of drinking McCoy was getting pretty hammered when someone accidentally bumped into him, making his whiskey spill all over him. Now although McCoy was a rather temperamental man he usually kept to himself. But when you spilled his whiskey....god help you. Growling he turned and grabbed the man, spinning him around as he smashed the glass into his face. "Ye god damned punk, how dare you make me spill my drink!?" he roared as he jumped the man, unleashing a flurry of drunken blows as patrons scrambled to yank him off

Shae O'Rordian - The School Teacher

Shae accepted the young woman's greeting with a nod of her head, as she still seemed a bit dazed.
"It's a pleasure to meet you," she said again.
A place to stay? Oh, goodness. She hadn't exactly thought of that. The inn was being worked on at the moment, but she didn't see why she might not b e able to stay. Hell, even the construction that was happening included letting the men stay on.
Just as she was about to answer Adder, the woman nearly fell again.
"Oh!" she cried, padding over to her. Assisting her with an arm to lean on, Shae held her hands out as if to steady her.
"Y'know....the Inn might be able to put'cha up for a bit. I can't guarantee it, but it's worth a shot.
