Glancing up from her two Pokémon she spotted the Taillow who was pleasantly sitting there, not bugging anyone. She looked at it for a few moments before looking at Odette and Nina who just stared back at her. Eva nodded to the both of them before looking at the Taillow “Nina! Use quick attack!” she ordered watching the bird flap it’s wings a few times before taking off a stream of light behind her. Smacking her entire body into the small bird the Taillow flapped it’s wings fanatically landing on the ground barely keeping itself upright. The Taillow looked annoyed it’s wings glowing a metallic color before it swung it’s wings towards Nina. Nina toppled over its body a few times “It knows Steel Wing?!” Eva exclaimed looking surprised “You okay?” she asked Nina who chirped managing to get upright. Before she could call another attack Odette ruffled her feathers flew in front of Nina quacking at the Taillow opening its mouth to shoot a water gun. The Taillow barely dodged it the water still scraping its wings. The Taillow spun around using a quick attack to smack into Odette “Water gun again!” she ordered Odette flapped it’s wings spraying water onto the bird, the Taillow stumbled a bit growling menacing. Odette glared at the bird before she spread her wings smacking into the Taillow. Nina looked up at Eva before the girl nodded “Odette let Nina finish this one!” she called. The Ducklett waddled back over to Eva having Nina look forward “I don’t think Night shade would work so…quick attack!” she ordered. Nina charged at the bird hitting it head on.

He let out a groan of frustration, clenching his fists and banging his right one on the table. Suddenly he felt a hand grasp his left one, looking over to his side he saw Cherie's hand holding his. "You okay there?" He asked, looking concerned. "If you're not okay with crowds we can leave and come back another time." He suggested, moving in a bit closer towards Cherie. The last thing he'd want is for her to feel uncomfortable, it's no fun if only one of them is enjoying the time here. He pocketed his metal coat and smiled when he saw that she won a TM. "Hey, you got yourself a new TM. You can teach it to one of your pokemon." He squeezed her hand instead of patting her back because he didn't want to let go of her hand.
"Ya know. We look like a couple." He chuckled, pulling his hand into his pocket.

Cherie silently bagged her TM, mind being in other places. "You okay there?" She glanced over to Ethan., and attempted a small smile. Yeah, she'd be okay, she just needed to get her mind away from the crowd. "If you're not okay with crowds we can leave and come back another time." He'd come closer to her saying this and it moved him and Cherie away from the festival stand so they weren't blocking anything, but it also shook Cherie from her thoughts. "No, no! I'm fine, I just... need a moment." She looked around as she spoke, not catching Ethan's comment about her TM. It had been a nice TM, but she had no pokémon to teach it to.
"Ya know. We look like a couple." Suddenly Cherie was like a deer in headlights. Her eyes widened a bit as she pulled her hand from his. "I-I'm so sorry! I d-didn't mean--" She fumbled with her words, turning a bright shade of pink. "Not that you're not-- I'm sorry." She held her own hands together as she mumbled out a trail of incoherent words. On the bright she was no longer worried about the crowd for the moment, deciding she was more worried about having embarrassed herself.. Cherie sighed. "Y-you wanna get some ice cream?" She asked, trying for force a subject change. There was an ice cream booth nearby and they could go sit near the lake while they ate it.

Alex ran beside the Gothita trainer smiling, but that all ended quickly. The girl abruptly stopped in place and turned towards him. She seemed irritated by something. Alexander felt confused, had he offended her? “A battle?” He said, then looked at the sleeping tadpole under his arm. “Nope, just saying hello.” Alex smiled at her. “I’m Alexander, and this little one’s Dizzy.” He said.
He took out his Pokedex and looked up Gothita. “Let’s see what it says about this little miss.” The device made a few beeps. “Gothita, the Fixation Pokémon. Gothita's ribbon-like feelers help it use its Psychic powers. Their wide eyes make them always appear to be staring.” Alex seemed surprised, he defiantly would have pegged Gothita for a Dark type.
Dizzy started to wake up. “Poliii~Poliwag.” She began fidgeting in her trainer’s arm and hoped down to say hello to the fixation Pokemon. “Poli!” She wiggled her tail. Alex took out his map and looked up the next destination. “Hey if you aren’t busy, how about you and cutie-pie down there accompany us to Tri-Stone Canyon City.” Poliwag was very excited with the idea and bounced about.

"Cub." River's looking was disrupted by the short exclamation. It occurred to her then that Glacia didn't really say much. The pokémon seemed much more content to express herself with her face. Which suited River just fine because she couldn't understand pokémon and so Glacia constantly saying variants of 'Cubchoo' would be wasted on her. However, even with River's inability to understand usually, even she could tell this was no a happy sound. Looking over her shoulder the trainer looked down at her starter. The little white pokémon was stood, arms folded, looking rather displeased. Guess that meant her few hours were up. Their search had completely failed. Not so much as a glimpse of a pokémon. Some trainer she was turning out to be.
"All right. Guess it's time to go. There doesn't seem to be anything here." Pulling her map out of her bag River scanned it quickly. There was only one way to go really, unless she wanted to wander off the routes and get totally lost. Which she did not. Especially not with what was shaping up to be a rather grumpy starter. "Okay, so before we reach Tri-Stone Canyon City there's actually the canyon itself. Apparently there are dig sites there and there's the potential to find fossils there." If they managed to find one then the pokémon could be resurrected. It wasn't catching a pokémon, but she was really getting to a point where anything would do. At least with a revived pokémon Glacia would have a training partner and that was better than nothing.
That just meant they had to get there, but there shouldn't be too much left of the forest. If they were lucky they might run into another trainer and maybe have a practice battle. There was no way she could take on the gym with Glacia never having been in a battle before. The canyon seemed her only chance of finding any wild pokémon between here and there. The option to head straight through to the lake on the other side was there, but she really hated doubling back. Letting out a deep breath River put the map back into her backpack and looked down at the Cubchoo. "Okay, let's get out of here."
River began walking, glancing back after a few steps and seeing Glacia still stubbornly crossing her arms and refusing to move. What was wrong with her? They'd eaten not long ago, so she couldn't be hungry. Pivoting the trainer walked back. "What's wrong with you?" she asked. Glacia sniffed and turned her head away. "Come on, you wanted to go. We're going." Her answer was Glacia defiantly plonking herself down on the ground and still refusing to look at her. "What is it? Are you tired?" She really wished her partner had better communication skills. But then Glacia probably thought the same. Tilting her head back River looked at the sky and let out a noise halfway between a sigh and a groan. "You want me to carry you?" That way they could move and Glacia could rest. Everyone happy, right? It took a few moments, but eventually Glacia looked back at her and nodded. The ice type allowed herself to be picked up, settling herself into her trainer's arms as they took off again.

He gave a small smile, waving at the pokemon. Cute little bugger. He thought, putting his hands into his pocket and slouching over. "What I'm doing here?" He repeated before furrowing his eyebrows to think it over. What should he say? He was here to mainly just explore, but he also wanted to did and surprise his sister while at it. He let out a big sigh before answering, "I'm here to explore mainly." He appeared very relax, a bit tired. Vincent didn't like having to explain things, it was better to just keep it at that. Short and simple. "So what about you? What're you here for?" He asked, looking at him. This was probably a new trainer just starting out in the region. A lot of people were just starting out today, it was highly likely that he's one of them. Probably got an invitation as well from the professor.
"Hey, do you want to cross the canyon and head into town? I want to get there before dark. If you're going the same way, might as well go over together." He shrugged his shoulders, it didn't matter if the trainer wanted to stay or not. It would be nice to have some company though.

Oh how cute, she was blushing. Chuckling, he decided to have fun with it and pretend to be hurt. "Oh Cherie. You don't like me?" He frowned at her, forcibly shoving his hands into his pockets and looking away. "I thought we had something!" he cried, dramatically. He even did a little sniff as if he's about to tear up. "I felt a spark! Didn't you?" Furrowing his eyebrows as if angered, he turned to look her in the eye. "Oh you pink haired vixen!" He crossed his arms across his chest, and gave out a "humph!". After a few seconds, he then hugged her and patted her on the head. "I'm just joking. I'm not really mad at her." He squeezed her tightly before letting go and motioning for her to follow him.
"You want ice cream, right? My treat." He offered his hand to her before saying, "We can hold hands if you want. It's really crowded, we might get lost." He actually enjoyed holding her hand, it felt nice to have something warm to hold. It reminded him of the cold winter nights he had snuggled up close to the fire while holding a cup of warm hot chocolate. His pokemon would cuddle close to him and share the warmth of the flames. "If you don't want to hold hands, I won't hold it against you." He added, not wanting to force her to hold his hand.

"I felt a spark! Didn't you?" At this point Cherie had the most horrified look on her face. Not cause of the idea of them being a couple, but because she felt like she'd upset him. "Oh you pink haired vixen!" As he furrowed his brows she started to tear slightly, terrified that she'd actually upset him. "I'm so sorry. I didn't know--" She was cut off by him admitting to only teasing her and a tight hug. Cherie frowned. Forming a tiny fist she lightly punched him on the chest during their hug. "I thought you were actually mad!" She complained as he let her go. She really had to stop believing him when it came to things like that.

She told him, half kidding and half serious. Cherie wasn't good at staying mad, but she didn't enjoy all the teasing either. "We can hold hands if you want. It's really crowded, we might get lost." Having forgotten about the crowd until he brought it back up, she looked around. He was right. Even if she wasn't nervous at the moment it was probably better to hold hands for the sake of not getting separated. Cherie reached her hand out and took his again, this time able to focus on it a bit more.
His hand was warm, and her pulse actually picked up slightly from the contact. She blushed a bit as she realized this, and attempted hiding it as they walked over to the ice cream stand. "If you don't want to hold hands, I won't hold it against you." Cherie shook her head. "N-no! I mean, um, I like holding your hand, and it prevents us from getting separated." Nodding, he pulled out two pokeballs from his pocket and threw them in the air, releasing his pokemon in the process. They should be able to enjoy the festival too! "Hey guys, you should get the chance to enjoy this festival too!" He pocketed the pokeballs into the nearest pocket. Striker nuzzled his head against Ethan's chin before perching ontop of his right shoulder. He darted his head around, taking in all of the sights and scenes before facing Ethan and asking, "Piiidove?" He basically asked for permission to fly around to see more. "Hm? You wanna fly 'round?" He wanted to make sure that was what Striker was implying before he said yes to anything. Striker gave him a nod of the head and Ethan motioned for him to take off. Looking down at Knight, he gave the same option to him which Knight kindly refused. He wanted to stay by Ethan's side which he didn't mind one bit.
"How 'bout letting your buddies out to enjoy this festival?" He suggested, squeezing her hand gently. He followed her to the ice cream stand, walking a long side with her. He occasionally glanced down to make sure that Knight didn't get lost in the ground. Fortunately Knight stuck to Ethan like glue, he did not let his trainer out of his sight. There was a small line in front of them, but it didn't take long to get to them. He stepped forward and told the man running the booth, "One strawberry scoop in a cone and one butter pecan please!" With his free hand, he pulled out his wallet and exchanged the money for the ice cream. First he handed the strawberry cone to Cherie before picking up his own. "Oh thank you, I like holding your hand too." He winked at her, chuckling. "Now that we got some desert, where do you wanna go?" He was very flexible, he didn't mind sticking around or heading back.
"Perhaps there's a few more games you wanna try out?" He turned his head to look at all of the booths that surrounded them. There was plenty to do here. They could even sit by the lake and stare it if they wanted to. It was a beautiful day and there was much to do! He would obviously prefer to be in the skies on a day like this, but of course that's not a viable option. Unless he asks a random stranger if he can hop on their flying pokemon and use 'em for the day. Unlikely that anyone would say yes to him.

She used her free hand to reach into her bag and release her two pokémon from their balls before tucking them back away in her bag. "Stay close, okay?" She told Aipah as Rille bounced up and landed on Cherie's shoulder, perching up there. Cherie accepted her ice cream from Ethan, grinning upon seeing the light pink swirls. "Thank you~" She said happily, squeezing his hand slightly. She really was enjoying how it felt to hold his hand. Her pulse was moving irregularly and she could swear her skin was tingling where it touched his skin. 'Why?' She wondered, but pushed the thought away.
"Now that we got some desert, where do you wanna go?" She paused to think. "We could go sit by the lake while we eat our ice cream?" She suggested before leading him over to a clear spot on the sandy shoreline of the lake. She let go of his hand as she sat down on the beach-like ground, motioning for him to sit next to her. Rille bounced off to play on the edge of the water with Aipah, making Cherie smile, glad to know they got along well. "The water looks nice, doesn't it?" She asked as she ate her ice cream. It was a pretty day, maybe they could play in the water some before they went back?

Alexander was pleased with her answer. A new person to travel with would make the journey not take as long. He began walking down Route 1 with Niki. Poliwag hopped into Alex’s arms. The two Pokemon seemed to really like one another, which was nice to see. “Sorry about before, I guess I can be an idiot sometimes.” He laughed. He sometimes acted cocky, not on purpose though. His parents raised him to be confident.
Alex thought of what to say. “Well, I came here from Cerulean City in Kanto.” He started off. “It took awhile to get here, but I’m glad I get to travel now.” Alex hoped to be able to become a coordinator. He loved Pokemon contests. Showing off a Pokemon’s true beauty and talents. It was really underrated to him. His father was a champion coordinator, and he wanted to be exactly like him. Lo and behold Inferno lay there sprawled out on his back. Ariadne got a gleam in her eye and swooped down to tickle his stomach, earning a yelp and making the Vulpix wiggle around to try and get away. When he finally made it to his paws he barked at her, growling some as she laughed at him. "That's what you get, lazy bum." She gathered up her things and held out an arm, ready to catch Inferno when he jumped up into her arms. She went back out to Harley and bumped shoulders with her in a friendly manner, giving her a smile. "Let's go to the Lake!" She cheered, getting a headstart and jogging in the lake's direction.
