A little embrassingly, the blue haired girl had fallen into some sort of daze when Sakura had excused herself. She had merely given a swift nod as the travelled away, her fingers twitching but never quite making it to a wave. "G-Goodbye.." Hinata whispered, having been unable to say that while the other had been walking away. Sometimes she got so angry at herself because of the way she was, but that anger just came across as sadness. A small sigh left her lightly quivering lips before she scurried down the hallway at full speed.

Ignoring the comments and snide remarks made as she passed by, Hinata continued to hurry to her first class. Rock Lee would be waiting there for her, and she would be able to have a conversation which didn't rack her bones with worry. At least with him, she knew that she could never say anything wrong. Their friendship often seemed too good to be true. Without Rock Lee, Hinata would still have been the boyish pre-teen who couldn't even speak in the prescense of others. He was the one who helped her on her way to becoming a far more confident person.

Sakura stood around her first block until the bell rang, then she walked into the room. She took a seat in the row near the windows, then took the middle-most seat. If she had to have this class first block, then you damn well better believe that she was sitting by the window so she could day dream. The pinkette sighed and put her chin in her hand, her elbow on the table to prop it up. She looked out of the window, but soon looked to the door to see who walked in. She lost interest after a few seconds and commenced looking out of the window.

Many thoughts ran through her head, like how long it would take her parents for this business trip. They left a few days ago and they were usually back in a week, maybe less. But they said that this was the biggest bi-annual trip they would have to take. They didn't even know when they were coming home, but they called often and they would talk for a few hours. She loved her parents and knew that when they came home they'd all spend a day together. A small smile formed on her face as her thoughts moved on to something else; who-ray for imaginations~

Y a m a n a k a I n o

It was another morning where things were the same and things were boring and blah blah blah. I sat up in my bed, scratching the top of my head and yawning obnoxiously. I really didn't want to get up, I didn't want to have to go to school...much rather stay behind and work at the flower shop all day. Now that was something enjoyable. I would get to watch over the shop, and then of course sketch some of them and such. I loved art. Pushing my legs out of my bed, I stretched from side to side and yawned again, my long blond hair moving from side to side since it wasn't in a pony tail. Standing up straight, I walked over to the mirror in my room. I grabbed a hair tie and pulled my hair up into a tight pony tail and smiled at my reflection. Self confidence was something I lacked thought. I was always on a diet, thinking I was too fat, always criticizing others because thats how I look at myself! Its terrible and self destroying, but none the less that is how I function.

Walking into the door to my closet, I held my head against it and let out an annoyed sigh. I really wanted nothing more to then to NOT go to school, but I had to go, and that was that. Without procrastinating anymore, I opened the small clothing closet and pulled out my uniform. It was a cute uniform, I know that much, but yet I rather wear something more comfortable. Shrugging off the idea of going into school in my pajamas, I walked into the bathroom to put on the proper school attire. Once I had it on and washed my face, brushed my teeth, and straightened myself up over all, I headed down the stairs of the house. When I got downstairs, mom was just fixing me some breakfast, that I would once more deny on acounta, I was dieting. As I told her, she gave me a look of concern, but then shrugged it off.

Walking out the door of the house with my mail carrier bag over my shoulders, I waved by to mom and headed down the side walk. In my bag was all I needed for school, and of course my beloved sketch book. I closed my eyes for a moment while walking and thought about my childhood friend, Shikamaru. He also went to school with me, and well..I had a thing for him. I blushed when I thought about it and shook my head. Since my eyes were closed, I practically walked into a parked car. Stepping back, I got myself together and started to walk once more. When I got to the school I saw people walking in and grumbled to myself. I walked up and into the school, looking around for Chouji or Shikamaru.

The both of them were childhood friends who were good friends with my family - their parents as well. I also looked around for Sakura, my best girl-friend. I needed to talk to someone about something that was bugging me...

Nothing is as beautiful as what is fleeting.

The roof was a personal favorite of Deidara’s, he loved the breeze and the sights of being able to see everywhere around him. So that’s where he went most of the time, and if he was missing, that’s where someone’ll look. So he walked after Itachi to the stairs and up them.

Deidara himself liked Itachi’s calm and collectiveness. Sure, sometimes he was bored because Itachi was quiet most of the time. But, he being around the raven kept him a bit calmer than around others. Plus, he didn’t mind showing that he was actually rather intelligent with the other around, when around his other peers he was more of a goofball.

Sakura sighed, annoyed at the way the math teacher went on and on about how wonderful and "easy" Algebra II would be. The pinkette glanced to the teacher, but was soon staring back out of the window. She let out another sigh and she closed her eyes. As the teacher went on about something she could care less about, her best girl friend came to mind; she hadn't seen Ino today. The pinkette leaned her head against the cool glass window and she looked back to the teacher who was looking at her. She looked around the class and they were all looking at her as well. She cocked an eyebrow and asked, "What?" which earned a harsh look from the teacher. He told her to introduce herself and to say a few things.

She rolled her eyes and smiled to the class, "Haruno Sakura. Most of you know me already so there's no point to this. Good luck in this class!" she gave them a thumbs up and earned some snickers. That wasn't what she wanted. She hated being laughed at by people because of something trivial. She rolled her eyes again and her thoughts moved back to Ino. She wondered where the blonde girl was.

xxxx"AAAAAHHHH I'M LATE!!"

Upstairs in a small cottage like house, things being thrown and quick footsteps were heard. A girl ran around the room, practically tearing the room apart as she searched for her things under the freshly new mess in her room. Clothes, comic books, figurines, paper, drum sticks, an apple core, a bowl and spoon, and stuff animals were thrown in the air as the girl looked under her bed. Yes, as you can see, she's a huge slob. The whole house is spotless.. except her room. "Where's my scarf!" The girl cried, lifting her head up from under the bed and looked at her clock. Her eyes widened. She cursed under her breath as she scrambled onto her feet and ran into her room's washroom with a slam of the door.

Meet Matsuri. She's your average teenager girl plus more. If she haven't stayed up most of the night reading her new mangas, she wouldn't be rushing around and destroying her room in the process. She was late. Too late but if she hurry, she might just make it. Inside the washroom, Matsuri reached up and pulled the ponytail out of her hair and brushed the tangles away with her brush and left her shoulder length hair down. She quickly brushed her teeth and slipped off her t-shirt and shorts before placing on her school's tradition uniform with knee length white socks but instead of loafers, on her feet were her doodle covered sneakers that she considers lucky. She didn't put on any make-up like any other girl. She looks fine being natural. Plus, she's too much of a tomboy to put any on. Matsuri gasped at the time when she exited the room and ran downstairs where her great aunt and uncle were. They sat in the kitchen with coffee brewing beside them. Matsuri smiled and kissed each of them on the cheek before grabbing a toast on a plate that were in between the elderly couple. "Sowwy, gwatta gro!" Matsuri said funnily, her voice muffled with the toast in her mouth. They just smiled and nodded, remembering the noise they heard upstairs just moments ago. Matsuri grinned and quickly escaped the kitchen and hoisted up her large backpack over her shoulder before going outside.

Her transportation is what people would snicker about at school. They have pretty looking cars. She has a bike but she doesn't mind though. On a bike, you get more exercise and you don't have to burn your money as you burn gas. She's just a green person. It only took her seven minutes of fast pedaling to get to school but unfortunately for her, she was too late. Classes have already started. On her first day too! Upon reaching her classroom with a late slip in her hands, she slowly opened her door and peeked inside before flinching when her teacher turned his head towards her. She gulped and stepped inside. "You sure are late, Matsuri. Care to explain why?" The teacher asked in a monotone voice. Matsuri fidgeted when everyone's eyes turned towards her. She wondered if her hair was messy from that bike ride or if her clothes are too winkled or if she have a zit on her face she haven't seen yet as she stared at everyone. "Uh.. I had a dramatic experience and took my time coming here to get rid of the shock?" Matsuri offered. She blinked innocently as the class chuckled. She just remembered a fantastic scene in her manga last night when she said that so she didn't realize this until after the teacher glared at her. She shrunk a little from the stare as she slowly made her way towards the back of room and sat on a random open chair. She groaned and laid her head on her desk. Okay.. that was certainly the best way to start the new year.. Lovely, just lovely.

It only took a minute or so to reach the roof, a few flights of stairs above them. He opened the door with a slight grunt, frowning as it stuck, before stepping out onto the roof. His eyes stung considerably at the bright sunlight which was beating down on the white tiles of the roof. Rubbing at his oddly colored eyes, the raven haired male paced across the the ledge which the two of them always sat upon. That was part of the reason teachers never came up to find them there, because if they did, the two of them would pretend to get ready to jump. It was easy to mess with those idiot's minds.

When he reached the ledge, he sat down with a barely audible sigh before throwing his jacket off behind him. It was too warm to be wearing something like that, plus, it was way too constricting anyway. Once Itachi had rid himself of the offending piece of clothing, he moved his arms upwards and stretched them with a rather dull sounding click. His gaze remained on the houses in the distance as he brought his arms back down to his side. School was so pointless, all they ever did was bunk off.

Temari rolled herself into her first hour class, not really caring what it was about. She was an average student, she got B's and the occasional A or C, but that was besides the point. Temari sat her stuff down on the table in front of her, this class had those dumb tables for two people, meaning she'd either get an idiot who tried to cheat off her, or a geek who thought she was cheating off them. Maybe this class would be small. And maybe pigs would rule the world with an iron fist. The bell rang, and Temari groaned. Day one, hour one, and she already wanted to just roll herself back into bed.

Temari looked around, seemed that no one of immediate interest was in her class. Sure, she knew of some of the kids, but none stuck out to her as noteworthy. Maybe if she was lucky, someone would be added into the class that she could talk to. Fat chance at that. Taking out her Cola, she took a small drink while the teache'rs back was turned, writing their name on the board or something like that. She didn't care in the slightest who her teacher was. Useless class as it was, when was she going to use Calculus on a daily basis? Okay, techinically it was Pre-Calc, but same idea. Temari foucsed her attention on a loose thread on the hem of her skirt, not caring about the teacher's speech.

Deidara breathed in the fresh air. There was something about higher up air that seemed so much better. “I love it up here, un.” He smiled with a refreshed look. Striding over and plopping down next to Itachi on the roof’s edge, leaning back on his hands.

Deidara had actually jumped before, not from the roof. Nah that was probably to high. But the second story window of a classroom. He was being yelled at for setting off a smoke bomb and the teacher was at the door. So, he just jumped.

“Hey, Itachi, un? Why do you think some people study all the time?” He asked, tilting his head to look over at the raven haired teen. “I mean, what’s the point of being young if you lock yourself up with studies, right, un?”

His eyes narrowed slightly as turned to glance at Deidara, the sun seemingly trying to force itself into his pupils. It was too early and too bright, not a good combo. Itachi was most definately a night person, and mornings just seemed to drag on and on.Although, being up here made the time feel like it was passing quickly, unlike when they were forced into attending classes. Then, it was like the clock was managing to turn backwards and the morning was getting longer...

"They can't pass exams without spending hours stuck in their room with their face in a book, it's because they're dumb. That's it." Itachi replied, pushing a strand of hair from his face with a slender hand. His brother Sasuke was a prime example of this. There had been many a day when their aunt and uncle had praised him for his good grades, and even given him just what he wanted for them. It was sickening. No one ever paid any attention to Itachi, or what he did, but that didn't matter. The dark haired male was fine with paying for his own meals and clothes while Sasuke got everything handed to him on a silver platter. They were all stupid anyway, at least Itachi managed to pass every test that was thrown at him.

After an alarm, a smash, a half an hour later a groan filled a sun-filled room. The sleeping form was nudged by a cold nose which earned a yelp, "Akamaru! What is it?" he picked his cell phone up from his nightstand and screamed; he was late. Again. The boy jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom. He brushed his teeth, hair, and washed his face. He ran back to his room and threw his pajamas off, put on a clean pair of boxers then rummaged in his drawer for clean clothes. He pulled out black slacks and a white button-up shirt; he put them on, grabbed his backpack and rushed out of the house, "Later Akamaru! See ya' at lunch!"

He ran to the school and when he arrived, rushed to class. His first block was gym, so he rushed to the gym and apologized for being late. He took a seat on the bleachers and caught his breath. He knew it would be a boring hour since he would just be sitting around... but oh well.

Sakura let her head rest on the window again; she was so bored. The teacher had to go somewhere and the class wouldn't stop talking. She closed her eyes and sighed, still wondering where her best friend was; she hadn't heard from Ino all day. Granted, it was the morning still but she usually got a text from the blonde.

Hinata was feeling less than spectacular. She had run to her gym class, expecting to meet Rock Lee half-way. Ignoring the odd jibes and comments from the less friendly members of the class, she had waited outside for her friend. After a while, everyone had disappeared into the class room and there had been no sign of the dark-haired boy. This had troubled her greatly, as Rock Lee attended school even when he was suffering from the worst of illnesses and broken bones, but she entered the room anyway. As usual, she had hung onto every word the teacher had told her, as not being able to answer any questions would send her embarassment level through the roof.

Her concentration was only broken by one of her classmates bursting into the room about ten minutes late. Her large lilac eyes flickered over to catch a glimpse of just who it was before she blushed and looked back down at her desk. It was rude to stare, did none of the others realise that? It wasn't as though Kiba was that late anyway. Being the first to glance back at the teacher made her feel a little uneasy, but soon everyone else got ready to continue the lesson. A small sigh escaped Hinata's lips.

Kiba grinned as he leaned back in his seat, not bothering to listen to the teacher. He let out a yawn and stretched, his eyes closed. After he finished his dramatic yawn-stretch combo he looked around the classroom. His eyes landed on a Hyuuga Hinata. A smile moved to his face and he winked at her, hoping she caught it. He winked at the shy girl often, a lot during the day actually. She was a pretty nice girl, but too shy. That was who she was, he guessed.

His eyes moved to the teacher and he grinned. The teacher didn't like his actions too much, eh? He knew this because he was getting a very... stern glare. Kiba's grin never faded and he looked back to Hinata, a smile on his face.

The wink had definately not gone unnoticed. Hinata's face had turned a deep shade of red, and she had tried to cover that fact up by looking down at her lap. Her long blue hair only just covered her blush from view, but her shaking shoulders probably gave the whole game away. No, he must have been winking at the girl next to her, she was pretty. So why was she getting so worked up? This seemed to happen a lot, Kiba would wink at the person next to her and she would end up with a face as red as Sakura's casual wear. There could be no way that Kiba's greeting could be directed at her.

When she decided to lift her head once more, her face finally cooling down, she just ended up blushing again. Kiba was smiling at her now? Well, she assumed it was her. It was with quivering lips that a small smile forced its way onto Hinata's bright red face. At least she was managing to hold his gaze, for a little while. That was something to feel a little happy about. If Rock Lee was there, he would have showered her with praise as soon as they had left the room, but her friend still hadn't managed to turn up..
