School is never easy. Break-ups, fights and days which you think just can't get any worse. However, it seems your friends, or sometimes enemies, are always there to give you a helping hand. Friendship is found in the most unlikely places, and so, of course, is love. Is she looking at me, or him? What do I do?

Lately, the Akatsuki gang, formed of a group of final years has started to terrorise the school. Their reign is powerful, and they seem to be able to take anything as their own. Will you let them trample all over you or will you rise up the challenge and destroy the problem altogether? Will you break away from the group you know so well to create new friendships, or will your shyness get the better of you?

It's your decision, may the new semester begin.

Rules


1.Be literate. I'm not expecting a whole novel from you each time you post, but it definately isn't too much to ask for 1-2 paragraphs. Spelling is another must, yet, a few mistakes here and there are fine. Mistakes are what make us human, guys.

2.Send me your character request via PM, with a small roleplay sample. NO posting on this thread until I say so, okay? I don't want people having to go about deleting their posts because they did them too early. No more than three characters per person, it's advisable to only ask for one to begin with. Also, be sure to check the 'Reserved Characters' post before sending your profile.

3.Characters in this roleplay may have any sexual preference, so no haters please.

4. If you're going to be away for a while, PM me and I will place it in the Announcements section of the roleplay so everyone can see. This way, I won't end up giving your character to someone else, and people won't be worrying about where you've gone.

5. Title for the PMs is 'Best Years of My Life.'. Why? Because I said so. If your PM isn't titled as that, I might not even bother opening it.

6. Use some sort of brackets for OOC comments, so it's easy to tell.

7. Make your posts pretty! Use size 9 font, color and pictures. It doesn't have to be too over the top, just make them look nice.

8. NO ORIGINAL CHARACTERS. There are enough characters in the Naruto universe to choose from to begin with.

9. If you wish to roleplay a teacher, you don't have to fill out a profile. Just send me the request with a small roleplay sample.

What else is there to say? [ Ino was a considerably more popular and self-confident girl than Sakura when they met at the school.. She convinced Sakura that hiding the size of her forehead was pointless, and gave her a ribbon to draw attention elsewhere, suggesting that Sakura had great potential, but had yet to reach it. She helped Sakura gain her confidence. When Sakura became attracted to Sasuke, and found out that Ino was attracted to him as well, Sakura ended their friendship so she could compete with Ino for his affection. Ino later made friends with Sakura again during the past year at school.

What else is there to say? [When I was twelve, my parents were killed in a car accident. I was an only child so I didn't have any siblings to take care of. I was an orphan for a few months, staying at a small orphanage until the person who took care of me told me a family member of mine recently found out about my parent's death and wanted to take me home. I found out they were my great aunt and uncle who never leaves the house and I was so grateful they let me stay with them.]

What else is there to say? [My family moved here a when I was a baby. We're a family full of vets, so we all naturally love animals. I've even had a dog with my since I was born; we were born the same day! His name's Akamaru and I sneak him into school with me, even though everyone knows they still let me because... well, I will even if they tell me not to. I used to, actually. Now he's waaay too big to sneak anywhere. He just waits for me during lunch and after school.]

What else is there to say? [I just started at this school, having attended one a few blocks away for the past couple of years. Luckily, my two best friends come to this school so it isn't that bad. My dad left last month, and so it's just me and my mom, but that doesn't bother me. My life's just fine as it is.]

What else is there to say? [Naruto was born the son of Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage, and Kushina Uzumaki. Before his birth they had decided to name him after the main character in Jiraiya's first book, hoping their son would be as great a ninja as the character (who was based on Jiraiya) was. This made Jiraiya Naruto's godfather. Soon after his birth, however, the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox attacked the village of Konohagakure. To save the village Minato sealed the demon fox into Naruto's body, believing that his son would someday use it. Minato died afterwards, leaving Naruto to grow up knowing nothing of his parents. He received his mother's last name, which Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Third Hokage, felt that it was best that nobody knows he was related to the Fourth Hokage.

Before Minato died he asked that the villagers of Konoha to view Naruto as a hero who had helped to stop the demon fox. Few did as he asked, instead of openly resenting him for containing the monster that had destroyed their home. In light of this, the Third Hokage made a decree that nobody should ever speak of the demon fox sealed within Naruto, hoping that their children would not resent him as they did. The children, however, followed their parents' lead, not knowing why. Naruto was forced to live confused over why the villagers hated him so and strived to win their recognition. Iruka Umino would be one of the few exceptions, who was always compassionate to Naruto's plight. For this, Naruto came to view Iruka as the father-figure he never had.]

A groan echoed through a medium-sized room, said groan following a very loud buzzing noise. A slapping sound followed both sounds and soon, a comforter and sheets littered the lightly carpeted floor. A body sat up, loose shorts hanging off of her hips and a light tank top threatening to fall of the petite girl's shoulders; all of this was topped by a pink mass of hair. A sigh fell from the girl's thin lips and she stood, stretching upwards. She balanced herself on her tip-toes and let out a yawn as she stretched her limbs, eyes closed against the darkness. The girl walked to the washroom across from her room. She turned the water in the shower on and waited for it to warm up, then stripped herself and stepped under the water. She bathed herself rather quickly, then turned off the water and wrapped herself in a fluffy pink towel.

She exited the washroom after brushing her teeth and wrapping her hair in it's own towel, then moved about her room for her dresser and the light switch beside it. She flicked the lights on and smiled lightly, tucking a loose strand of pink under the towel above her head. The pinkette opened the top drawer of the dresser and pulled out clean undies, then slipped into them after taking off her towel and tossing it to the side. A small smile spread across her lips as she took out a white tank top with black letters stretching across it, reading "Sugarcult" written in scratchy lettering; she tossed it to her bed. She soon took out the traditional Sailor Fuku uniform, though hers was white with pink, instead of the normal green. She slipped the skirt on, put her tank top on then slipped the shirt on over it. The petite girl slipped her feet into a pair of white knee-high socks, then into a pair of normal brown loafers. The girl took the towel off of her head and soon brushed the short locks that matted themselves on her head. She shook her head lightly to get the extra moisture out of it, then resumed with brushing it.

Soon enough, after grabbing her messenger bag and stuffing it with numerous notebooks and other things, Sakura Haruno was out of her room and left, walking to the school. It was only a ten or fifteen minute walk, but she was always there early. She could usually be found wandering the halls of her "wondrous" high school. A sigh fell from the pinkette's lips and she walked, then started to sing a song to herself.

It was just another day for Hinata, she always woke early no matter what. Every single morning she followed the same regime, it didn't matter whether she was going to school or staying in. To her, all these movements came so naturally that she would find herself walking all the way from her house to the classroom on complete 'auto pilot' mode. The way she would stumble in, unblinking, would often get her a bit of stick from the less friendly members of her class, yet the blue-haired teen knew that would happen anyway. They made fun of her whatever she did, whether that thing was good or bad. Sometimes it got to her, but Rock Lee was always there to cheer her up.

A quiet yawn escaped her lips as the sixteen year old started her short journey to the school gates. Breakfast was always 'forgotten' , or just thrown into the bin. Her weight was one of the many things that Hinata found herself obsessing about. No one would like her if she ended up fat and ugly, would they? Maybe if she was as skinny as Sakura it would mean that her crush would finally look her in the eye. She had been waiting for two years, and her weight had steadily dropped, but Naruto had carried on looking straight past her. However, she refused to give up. She had told herself to stay strong, and believe in herself, just like Rock Lee. Her life would have been oh-so unbearable without the crazy dark-haired individual who she spent most of her spare time with.

A little ironically, a few minutes later, she found herself approaching the dangerously toned looking pinkette. As usual, Hinata kept to herself, even as she ended up walking right alongside the other towards the school. Pale hands gripped at the strap of her lilac messanger back as she attempted to speed on ahead. It wasn't easy, as the other seemed to be practially gliding in comparison to her tiny steps. They lived a few houses away from each other, yet never managed to utter a word to each other during classes. To Hinata, it seemed that knowing her was an embarassment to Sakura. Perhaps, sometimes, that was very much the case.

Sakura had her eyes closed as she walked. She knew that, if she wanted to, she could walk to the school blindfolded. After a few moments of walking, she felt someone beside her; probably Hinata. The shy girl lived only a few houses away from each other, but they never really spoke. Sakura didn't know if Hinata really wanted to associate with someone like her. The pinkette glanced to the girl beside her; was she trying to walk ahead of her? Sure, Sakura's strides were somewhat big but that was because of her long legs. Maybe Hinata didn't want to be around her...? She looked to Hinata and smiled some. There was only one was to find out.

"Ohayou, Hinata." her voice was soft, but had a tired tone to it if you listened close enough. She would fully wake up later on in the morning. The pinkette put her messenger bag on her other shoulder so it wouldn't bump into Hinata as they walked. She smiled a small smile and hoped that Hinata would want to speak with her. Hinata was a nice girl, but she was really shy, but polite. She would at least talk to the pinkette, right? She could only hope.
