This man was a monster, no doubt about it remained. He did not say anything about not being one, but that was even more reason as to believe he was a non-human. Incredibly enough, he introduced himself as the owner of this lands, calling himself Inunotaisho and then introducing his wife to him, the knight slightly bowing his head towards her. He had not attacked him nor showed any sight of hostility, but his wife oozed hatred from her eyes. He had heard that some creatures were naturally hostile towards humans even if unprovoked, so perhaps this queen just detested his presence altogether? Then again she looked like she had enough self-restraint as to not jump over him. He would not want to be the cause of another war, after all Britain was already too busy dealing with the beasts and creatures that inhabit their lands. "My lands have nothing like you, king of the western lands. I dare to say, you are the first creature with whom I ever had a conversation, as most were too busy trying to chop our heads or having our children as meal. Most if not all of the creatures inhabiting our lands would rather exterminate us to the last drop of blood than exchange words with each other." That was nothing but the truth, in all his years as a knight it has been the first time he had had a conversation with anything non-human.

Then the king's "mate" spoke in cold words how any wrong move from him would result in his extermination. The knight merely bowed his head again as he said "Do not fret, Oh queen of the western lands. I do not plan to stay for too long nor I wish to bring any ill to your lands." Then, she called for someone, her guard? They supposedly were the owners of these lands and seeing their wierd clothes and strange appearace he couldn't help but agree, after all the royalty were known for their eccentric tastes and he doubted this place was any different. Then he appeared, the very image of the royalty : the supposedly child of these two creatures. "So I assume this is the young prince?" The knight stared at Sesshomaru, noticing how he looked as if it was a younger version of any of the two creatures. Perhaps it was because of the similar features and clothes plus the strange markings on his face. The moment Sesshomaru asked if they were going to eat him, the knight chuckled. "I sure hope not." He said, smiling at the young lord's comment yet knowing full well that they could so easily as to turn on him on a moment notice. "Regardless, I was wondering if you knew where the closest human village or castle was?"

His ears twitched with interest upon hearing Mizuki's response. Interest showed in his orbs as he slightly leaned closer to her as if that would help enhance the stories she had to tell relating to the ground. Anticipation showed in his orbs while he anxiously waited for her to say more that pertained to life on the ground. Inuyasha had a whole list of questions to ask, so many that he wasn't sure where to start. He really thought she would continue to talk about life on the ground but instead, she changed the topic to something that seemed a bit forbidden. Well it kind of seemed that way when servants whispered about it and some were laid off because of their gossip. Sesshomaru said it was because they wasted too much time talking and not enough working.

Slowly, his once anticipated orbs faltered as he drew his complete attention on his half eaten rabbit. He felt kind of weird. Almost as if he did something bad. His ears flattened in an almost shameful manner as he thought about the question. He never had to answer this sort of question before. If she knew, she definitely wouldn't like him but it was bad to lie.

“I...I-...I'm a...um....” Inuyasha slowly drew out, wishing with all of his heart some sort of distraction would occur. He could only pause for so long before having to answer her. His orbs slowly drifted towards his family interacting with the human. It was really a picture perfect moment. He stood out like a sore thumb. Even children close to his age were aware of this fact. A majority of demons hated humans and he was partially human. With all the looks and strange stares in the past, he was slowly becoming subconscious about himself.

“I...reallllllly have to go to the bathroom!” Inuyasha suddenly announced as he abruptly stood on his feet, completely disregarding the rest of his meal. Suddenly, he didn't feel all that hungry. Now that his family seemed to be on friendly terms with that human, it was ok to move from his spot right? His face sort of flushed at the fact he announced needing to go to the bathroom to another female child he wasn't related to. Normally his brother went with him or stayed near him when he went. There was no possible way Inuyasha could go when she was standing so near and her going with him wasn't really an option. She was a girl! Sesshomaru and his father were occupied with the human at the moment. It was ok. He could go by himself. “I'll...I'll be back!”Inuyasha promised before he scurried into the thicket behind them, not bothering to stop until he was sure he was out of her sight. It would feel weird to do his business when she was so close by.

Once he found a really good spot, after a bit of sniffing every now and then, Inuyasha paused and relieved himself. It was then he took notice of his blood-stained hands. He was going to have to wash up as soon as he returned. Sesshomaru ate far more graceful than him. Actually, Sesshomaru could do a lot of things that he couldn't. He still had a lot to learn from his big brother.

Walking in the direction he believed he came from, Inuyasha scurried ahead. Everything kind of looked the same. He felt so small starring at such a large area. Inuyasha curiously glanced behind him when he thought he heard a sound. “Hello? Sesshomaru?” the young hanyou called out, knowing Sesshomaru was famous at sneaking up on him. It seemed like his older brother did it ever chance he got.

Sniffing the air, Inuyasha decided to follow his nose back to their resting area. Unfortunately there were far too many new scents to differentiate. Ah! They were probably just beyond that bush up ahead! He didn't wander that far....but how far was too far? If he didn't return, father was going to be mad. Inuyasha twirled around when he heard footsteps approach him.

“I'm sorry, did I startle you?” A young girl inquired, flashing Inuyasha an apologetic smile. “It's just that I saw you here all by yourself and thought you might be lost or something. Are you alone? My village, it's just beyond that hill. It's the closes one for miles. You should probably come with me, it's dangerous out here.”

Inuyasha blankly stared at the human girl and the basket of herbs she held in her grasp. His orbs then shifted to the bow and arrows strapped to her back. “I'm not suppose to talk to strangers.....or go anywhere with them....”

The young hanyou's response brought a giggle to the girl's lips. “Oh yes, where are my manners. I'm Kikyo and it's ok, I won't hurt you or anything. I'm actually a priestess in training so I'm always constantly helping people in need. That's a cute accessory you have on your head. Did you make it or is it some sort of fashion going on at your village?” Kikyo warmly responded, thinking the best route would be to make light conversation. Children were bound to be more trusting when engaged in a conversation and she loved children. Despite her age, she acted far more older than other girls her age.

“A priestess?” Inuyasha softly inquired, his orbs widening at the term before he slowly took a step back. Priestesses were bad right?!

It was perhaps then when Kikyo noticed the dried blood on Inuyasha's hands and her orbs widened with horror. "Oh no! Did you hurt yourself?! Where do you hurt?!" She inquired, swiftly stepping forward to grab Inuyasha's hand to prevent him from running off. Kikyo wasn't about to let an injured small boy continue to wander around the forest all by himself. As she held onto his wrist, her orbs scanned for any signs of injuries that he could have acquired.

Well as long as this human understood her terms, she would tolerate him. Getting mixed in with humans was always troublesome. Her cold demeanor seemed to change once she noticed her son obediently answer her call. Such an obedient and good child he was. If only he could stay this young forever or perhaps when he got older, he wouldn't enter that dreaded rebel stage. Her hand immediately rested on his shoulder in a rather possessive manner as he gazed up at the human before him. It was obvious Chiyoko was overprotective of her only son. She didn't want him to endure any unnecessary hardships.

A bemused smile formed on her lips when Sesshomaru inquired if they were going to eat him now. The human surprisingly chuckled at her child's innocent question. Her mate might not be as amused since he would have a pretty good idea where their son got that idea from. “Of course not. He's from a foreign land. Who knows what sort of weird disease he harbors inside him. You might get some sort of food poisoning.” Chiyoko nonchalantly responded, a hint of her mischievous nature gleaming in her orbs. Her son could be so amusing at times. She had fun finding interesting ways to answer his questions. Chiyoko wasn't lying with her response. This foreign human would never be considered a food source in her orbs because he was from an unknown region and who knows what consuming him would do to one's body.

The human was smart enough to wave her son's question off and inquire about the closes human village. “What a coincidence, we are on our way over to one now. Knowing my mate, he'll invite you to join us. Like a child, he's probably eager to learn more about your lands.” Chiyoko dryly responded, shifting her gaze over to InuTaisho to let him know that she would tolerate whatever his puppish whims had in mind. She had already given the human a fair warning and humans only got one warning from her. It seemed he understood he was to follow their rules while on their territory.

InuTaisho couldn't help but admire Chiyoko as she gave fair warning to Don Quixote with such a beautiful cold stare. And it wasn't even himself on the receiving end of that gaze this time. Knowing how his beloved mate wasn't too fond of humans he had to give here credit for restraining herself so well. Don Quixote peeked his interest upon explaining how demons and humans seem to not interact peacefully throughout the Queen's lands. A shame to think that so much potential is wasted to the vicious cycle of wars and continuous fights. Perhaps once they all arrive at the next village they could share tales and more insight about lands unlike InuTaisho's domain. He was growing more curious by the minute to learn more about Don Quixote as an individual and about the foreign lands beyond the mountains. "Then perhaps we shall have many good conversations should you accompany us," the dog demon looked to the knight with a fanged smile.

A muffled groan escaped from under his breath as InuTaisho spared a second to peer back at his pup. Talk about an embarrassing moment. Sesshomaru was free to learn and develop his own opinions. Just the older Inu dreaded that such blunt innocence might get the pup into trouble one day. Ugh.. You are your mother's pup. that thought was both a compliment and a hint of non-amusement. Thank the heavens Don Quixote didn't appear offended by Sesshomaru's question. A wave of relief washed over him upon hearing their human guest chuckle over the whole ordeal. The older Inu managed to release a breath he'd been holding for the past 2 minutes.

Another new scent nearby snapped InuTaisho back to reality as he regained his composure and allowed Chiyoko to speak with the knight. His underlying strategy was to let his beloved mate mingle with those of human blood just like he aimed to teach his pups. Come to think of it where was Inuyasha and the other Inu following them? Since the knight's arrival he hadn't seen hide nor ears of his youngest son. Paused for a moment his nose sniffed the air to track the scent of young Kikyo in the same direction from which Inuyasha and Mizuki were. There didn't appear to be any trouble as there weren't any screams or barks that might indicate danger. Only the blood from the rabbits and the rat demons he killed earlier lingered in the air.

The dog demon gave a comical flinch when Chiyoko seemed to have read his thoughts about inviting the knight along on their trek through these woods. Remind me never to lie to you beloved. You know me too well. Clearing his throat with a slight cough he re-focused his attention back to the matter at hand. Not having to turn about he heard a mumbled, "what is it with grown ups?" at Chiyoko's side. "Don Quixote, you may join us if you wish. My mate is right in more ways than one as the nearest human village is further through this forest. Your company is welcomed," InuTaisho extended the invite in a friendly gesture. Besides it wouldn't be the safest of places for the knight to get lost. "Let us continue on our way," he addressed both his family and guest(s). "If we hurry we should make it to the human's village before nightfall." Without hesitation he turned about in one graceful movement. Long strands of silver hair flowed with his every step, the two swords stheathed at his right hip and the one on his back didn't make a sound. "Inuyasha! Come now, we are moving on!" he raised his voice in a barking tone to summon the hanyou. "Don't forget to bring your new human friend and the rabbits you snatched." In the same loudness he spoke out in hopes to catch Mizuki's attention. "You may approach young Inu. It is safe to come out."

Thankfully the sound of his father's voice boomed through the forest. His ears perked up as he stared off in the direction it had come from. New human friend? But she was a priestess! Or at least a priestess in training! Were they going to eat her? The mere thought of eating a human brought a crinkle to Inuyasha's nose. It would be too weird, he was partially human so that kind of seemed like murder.

The boy didn't seem to be injured anywhere. Her examining soon came into a halt the moment she heard a loud voice echo through the forest. Human friend? The voice had to belong to the one this boy was with. So she made a mistake. He wasn't lost. That was a relief. “So your name is Inuyasha huh?” Kikyo inquired, flashing the boy a small smile. “If you're on your way to the village, I'll accompany you but if not, I can't. I'm in the midst of running a restocking supply errand for our village healer. In exchange, she's teaching me about all kinds of herbal medicines.” Kikyo warmly explained, glancing at the boy's stained blood hands once more. So that's where the blood had come from, rabbits.

“Y-yes...my father said we're on our way to the closes village. W-we better hurry up and catch up.” Inuyasha nervously stammered, unsure how to feel about meeting a priestess in training. He always heard scary stories about them and how they purified demons. He had always imagined they would far more scarier than her but she appeared harmless enough. Did his father know she was some sort of priestess in training? If she purified him, would he die or would his demon half die? Inuyasha really didn't want to find out so without waiting for her response, he scrambled ahead, bursting out of the bush and picking up the two remaining rabbits before clinging to his father's leg. Sesshomaru would probably tease him about being such a baby but at the moment, Inuyasha didn't care.

It was then Inuyasha got a good glimpse of the intruder his father was confronting earlier. His orbs slowly trailed up as he stared at the very large, strange looking human. A sudden shyness dwelled within Inuyasha as he instinctly hid behind his father, only daring to slightly peek out. The male was even taller than father! Felt kind of intimidating.

“Hey! Wait for me!” Kikyo called out, tightening her grasp on the basket of herbs before she sprinted after Inuyasha. For a child, he sure was fast. Once she emerged from the thicket, she caught sight of him embracing an older male's leg. By the looks of it, she seemed to be interrupting something. The bunch the younger boy was with was traveling with an odd bunch. Their auras felt a bit demonic but it could easily be because they wore demonic armor. She wasn't in the advance stage yet to be able to differentiate but at this point it really didn't matter. Only the more powerful demons could take a more humanoid form. The young boy didn't seem hostile in the least and she was invited along.

Ah...she was starring wasn't she? Maybe it was because they all felt so strange that she was trying to make sense of it all. The polite thing to do was to introduce herself. Slowly, she approached the group, glancing at Inuyasha before shifting her gaze to the rest of the group he was traveling with. “Hello there, I'm Kikyo, a local resident of the nearby village. Inuyasha tells me you're there to visit and I would be more than happy to escort everyone there. The villagers love travelers so your bound to get plenty of house invites in exchange for stories any of you may carry.” Kikyo warmly greeted, choosing to ignore her strange feeling she received from the bunch. It was probably nothing. None of these people seemed particularly bad and no one that traveled with that young boy could possibly be bad.

"It is a pleasure to meet you My Lord and Lady, My name is Mizuki Miyafuji" She straightened out of her bow and flashed a toothy grin to Inuyasha before tilting her head to the side curiously. She was not trying to be rude but she did wonder about his scent it was unlike anything she had ever smelt but he seemed like a nice pup extremely shy though. She knew what that was like.

With that thought in mind she decided she would try to be his friend she didn't have many friends maybe she could be friends with both of the pups here. Wouldn't that be awesome! "You never did answer my question" Mizuki said softly as she looked at him. With a smile she attempted to straighten her kimono and in the process nocked her fan out of the pocket that she had specifically crafted so she would not lose it. With a blush she watched the red and black fan skid across the ground to finally stop in front of Lord Inu no Taisho, Sesshomaru, and Chiyoko.

Mizuki blushed darkly resembling Inuyasha's fire rat quite well as she looked like she was going to die.Did she always have to be such a klutz around others. She was embarrassing herself as well as those around her with this.

Turning his attention away from the adults momentarily, Sesshomaru spotted Inuyasha returning to the group with rabbits in hand and clinging to their father's leg. "About time you got back runt," he whispered in a teasing tone. "What? Afraid? Don't be such a baby. You heard father, we're safe." Talk about a case of 'brotherly-love' (sarcastically speaking). Having caught the second human scent on the breeze there was a flicker of surprise behind golden eyes. A human girl who introduced herself as Kikyo had been brave enough to approach their group. Honestly he expected this fe to run at the mere sight of his parents and the knight. Instead she stepped forth with a friendly offer to escort everyone back to her village and the hospitality awaiting them. Though her words sounded true the older Inu pup couldn't help but notice her bow and arrows. A feeling in the pit of his stomach alerted him to be careful. If indeed she was trained to be an anchor at a young age then she'd know how to use such weapons effectively. Primitive, but effective nonetheless. The decision to take Kikyo up on her offer was for his parents to make. For now he could only look to her with a fixed glare.

From where he stood, Sesshomaru looked to the thicket next as a rustle of leaves and the new Inu scent from before came out of hiding. Introducing herself as Mizuki he wandered why he never seen her before. Or just never really took notice of her presence till today. Amusing it was to see how she approached Inuyasha, saying something about a question the hanyou never answered. "Out with it runt. Tell or I'm telling mother you're hiding something," the Inu pup continued to tease his younger brother. Sesshomaru didn't dare admit that he was getting a tad bit jealous of the hanyou for catching the attention of two girls let alone a potential human friend.

This Inu pup stepped aside from Chiyoko to approach the trio of young companions. Somehow Kikyo seemed more mature than her age compared to other girls. And with Mizuki it was a nice balance of both genders amongst them. He'd yet to make any judgements about Mizuki seeing they've just met (officially). It was then the hand-crafted black and white fan skidding across the ground that snapped Sesshomaru back to reality. As soon as it came to a rest at his and his parent's feet, he leaned over to gently pick it up with long clawed fingertips. Then straightening up he rested the fan in the palm of his hands to closely inspect its fine detailed design. Finally what felt like an eternity he lightly stepped over towards Mizuki to give her back the fan. A blush on her cheeks didn't go unnoticed as if she could hide in the fabric of Inuyasha's robes. "Here," the Inu pup reached out to offer it once he got close enough. "Careful, you don't want to break it or lose it out in the brush... Are you okey?" Sounding like he was giving her a lecture about how to take care of her stuff, there was a hint of uncertainty within his voice. Had Mizuki gotten sick from the rabbits? Or maybe she just wasn't feeling well? Little did Sesshomaru clue in to why she was blushing so.

"You don't scare me. I'm a full grown pup!"

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Mizuki blushed even harder if that was at all possible as she accepted the fan and flicked it open with practiced ease caussing red embers to spark outwards for a moment before dying before they touched the ground. Since she was still young her abalities where not fully developed but they where still active which meant her fan was actully her weapon and helped her channel her abilities easier than if she just focused on them herslf. She remembered when her father had decided to have a weapon commisioned for her. Having noticed she was very clumsy with all weapons except the war fans his single female gaurd used he had twin fans crafted from two of her canines and one each of her mother nd his.

`Flashback~

Mizuki was sitting in the training Dojo where her father called her every day in an attempt to get her to learn self defense and to control her own abilities as was expected of every Demoness of Noble birth. Mizuki looked down at the ground in shame her father had been trying to teach her for months yet all she was able to do was either make small embers or create a fire storm that destroyed everything around her and was beyond her ability to control.

Having thought that it might be easier if she attempted to channel her power through a weapon of some sort he had started trying to teach her how to use weapons but like everything else she tried she was extremly clumsy always dropping them or almost cutting off her own head when she tried to swing it. In a last ditch effort to find somthing his gaurd Samori had allowed the Princess to practice with her own war fan.

Mizuki was swinging the fan delicatly and was charging her own ability causing small sparks to dance across the fans blades as she swung it in a delicate pattern that caused her to appear like she was dancing. Without thinking about itShe was spinning around the training area somehow not tripping like she was prone to do her midnight black hair swirling around her making her to appear like some war maiden from the stories her father would always tell her as a pup. When her father had appeared he had been amazed at the way she was handling herself not tripping or messing up. When she finally came to a stop her face flushed and a large grin on her face she went to return the fan only to see her father and look down at her feet in shame.

She was surprised when her father did not say a word to her but walked out of the training area causing her to believe she had dissapointed him. When he gave her twin fans a year later she had been shocked. One fan was created from his fang and her fang to create the ribbing of the fan while the cloth was made from a mixture of his and her fur from their true forms that had been collected throughout the years. The embroidering which was simple sakura blossoms on both fans where done using his hair as thread while likewise the second fan was created from her mothers fang, fur and hair. Mizuki had been estatic at the gift and had never let either fan out of her sight which resulted in the pockets being aded to the kimono.

~End Flashback~

Mizuki smiled shyly at Seshomaru as she flicked her fan carefuly causing fire to race along the ribs before she snapped it shut content that it had not broken. With a smile she placed it in the pocket not retrieving the second one from its place since she did not want them to think she was attacking.

"Thank you Furei is the only fan I am actullyany good at wielding Misu tends to disagree with me more often than not" Mizuki blushed softly at th relization she was rambling. He probably did not want to hear her talk about her weapons they must be very boring for the Young Prince.

InuTaisho felt a tug on his pant leg, looking down to find Inuyasha hiding behind him. The hint of his fanged smirk never seemed to waver as he reached to softly place his hand between Inuyasha's ears. Long fingers ruffled / brushed through strands of white silvery hair. "Don Quixote," he spoke once again to the knight. "This is my second born. Still quite young by demon heritage."

The sounds of footsteps slowly coming from the thicket caused him to curiously look up with Kikyo's scent drawing nearer. Judging by the way Kikyo held herself, plus her attire, the basket of herbs, and weapons of archery origin made him wander if she was more than a mere villager's daughter. Perhaps one of status higher than a poor peasant. This child is too young to be a full fledged priestess. Still I must keep an eye on her. Just who have you befriended my son? A golden gaze closely observed her mannerisms upon which she warmly greeted his family and their new acquaintances. Hopefully no one from her village would get the wrong idea if they all arrived with Kikyo in their presence. The dog demon wanted to avoid confrontation as much as possible, yet should someone think they bandits holding this girl hostage... Then again the opposite could be true and they'd be welcomed by other villagers seeing one of their own as escort. Silently debating in the back of his mind he decided to accept the offer on his family's behalf. Don Quixote (and Mizuki soon after) would be free to choose what they wish to. Returning the polite gesture he bowed his head to the young priestess in-training. "You greet us warmly, Kikyo of the village. I am InuTaisho, this is my family as well as friend Don Quixote. I see you have already met my youngest son and know of our situation. Indeed you may lead us," the dog demon nodded in reply. "But heed my warning. I cannot be held responsible for anyone who draws a weapon against any traveling under my care." Not only did he fear for the safety of his family and travel companions, but also for any lives who dare to try and attack them. He completely trusted Chiyoko to protect her son (and perhaps the hanyou as well under circumstances). He was also ready to protect his boys till his dying breath.

Golden eyes shifted to Mizuki next as she too approached from the surrounding forest. At first the dog demon was a bit puzzled as to why an Inu pup such as herself would be alone out here. Unless her parents or caretakers were out of scent range for now. Nonetheless he was pleased to have both her and Kikyo interacting with Sesshomaru and Inuyasha. Not only because of the presence of both demon and human, but also beings more the pups own age. InuTaisho greeted Mizuki with the same fanged grin and bow of his head. "The pleasure is ours Mizuki Miyafuji. I am InuTaisho." Just as he introduced the others to Kikyo so did he introduce to the young fe pup. "Are you traveling by yourself? You may come along with us to the village," he extended his invite to her as well. Taking a closer look and smell there seemed to be something a bit familiar about her. But what? "Are you of any relation to a Miyafuji in the Army of the Western Lands?"

"Yes My Lord he is my Father, My Mother also works as the Royal Healer when she is Needed, Tis the Reason I am out here today Sir. My mother went out searching for herbs for some of her simple remidies. when We got Surrounded by Rat Demons Mother told me to Stay Hidden while she led them Away. I am unsure as to what has happened that is keeping her so long" Mizuki spoke really softly her voice slightly above a whisper as she spoke with him slightly running her fingers through her hair nervously. It was unlike her mother to leave her alone for so long.

Mizuki sincerly hoped nothing had happened to her mother since her father was always busy training with the Army and whatever else he did. Mizuki rarely saw him spending the Majority of the time with her mother causing her to worry slightly. Mizuki did not know what she would do without her mother she was still to young to fend for herself.

"I fear somthing may have happened to her, she was already injured when we where attacked because of some Wolf demon who atttacked her when Mother failed his mate or somthing I do not exactly understand what he meant by losing his mate and pups where did they go?" Mizuki asked innocently not understanding that her mother had been unable to save the wolf's mate and puups thus resulting in their deaths and the father in his grief had attacked her mother blaming her.

For a split second it appeared that Mizuki caught Sesshomaru by surprise. He never expected to see flaming embers dance along the fan as it did in her hand. Eyes widened he gave a little jitter before regaining his regal composure. "How did you-?" By no means was the young prince bored. On the contrary learning about her weapon was rather interesting. He never seen such an ability like that before. Now it made sense as to why she addressed her weapon (s) by name. Could it be similar to his father's swords?

A more important matter raised as Mizuki explained to his father why she was out here and that her mother could very well be in trouble. Unsure what would happen now Sesshomaru's eyes peered up to the three adults, seeking some kind of answer.

"You don't scare me. I'm a full grown pup!"

"Furei is my Weapon, like your father's sword except Im not very good with swords father says I could take out an entire army by accident If I didn't kill myself first. When Father was trying to teach me how to defend myself we discovered that these fans are the only thing I can use without accidently destroying the training field or hurting myself or others." Mizuki blushed slightly in rememberence of when her father told her that she was really a disastar waiting to happen when it came to blades and her father had no patience for failures.

" The fire is my special ability I think Mother called it my Element, Im naturally attuned to it to the fact I have a small immonitry to it" Mizuki tried and failed to say immunity correctly scrunching up her face in concentration.

Bits of a past memory did recall a time when InuTaisho crossed paths with Mizuki's father. Her scent bares a family resemblance. He then listened closely to her explanation. The instant she mentioned rat demons it felt like he just got knocked into by a strong invisible force. Always one to keep a collected, strong front a glint of deeper thoughts and emotions flickered behind that golden gaze. Eyes widened slightly as flashbacks of the earlier scuffle tugged at his conscious thought. Had that ambush of rats he ran into been a set up to catch Mizuki? That would explain some unanswered questions that still seemed to haunt him.

Carefully storing away everything this fe Inu pup told him, the dog demon was already thinking of a plan to backtrack and see if he might be able to any clue finding Mizuki's mother. When she mentioned the bit about the wolf demon situation he could probably conclude what happened to the injured or sick wolves. Stepping over to stand in front of Mizuki he soon kneeled down on one knee to be more at her eye level. Then taking a deep breath InuTaisho tried to think of the best way to explain his thoughts to her. The whisper of her words didn't fall on deaf ears. "They were probably too sick or injured for your mother to heal..." Golden eyes looked to the Inu pup as he paused for only a second. "The wolves might passed on from this world. Dead, no longer among the living. Can you tell me anything more?" he urged her to speak of anything else that she may or may not recall. If there is a chance I might have to use Tenseiga should her mother be hanging on between this world and the next...

Already, Chiyoko knew this was going to be a long day. She didn't take much notice to Inuyasha's absence. He wasn't her responsibility and neither was the female inu. It seemed like other people were throwing their children at her. She had her own to raise and if she had wished for a second child, she would have mentioned it to her mate. A twinge of disappointment flickered in her orbs when Inuyasha returned. So he wasn't eaten. What a shame. Maybe next time. As if that wasn't disappointing enough, the little brat brought along another human, this one paraded around in priestess garments. Just what was her mate thinking to allow a young priestess to come near their son?! Tolerance?! Chiyoko had no choice but to trust that her mate knew what he was doing. This was his educational trip.

It was probably better to remain on the sidelines while her mate dealt with the young human girl. She seemed unaware that they were demons. Her orbs soon shifted on the girl's bows and arrows. Normally would show disinterest when her mate allowed humans to be near them but this girl's spiritual powers felt oddly strong for a girl her age. Her mannerisms even seemed different than what she would expect from a child of the primitive race.

The next one to introduce herself with the female inu child. Miyafuji huh? The last name was similar to their castle healer and one of the guards. It was possible this was their child. What was a young pup like her doing out here alone? She was far too young to be exploring on her own and Chiyoko didn't catch a scent of the young one's parents. Mizuki's interest soon shifted on Inuyasha rather than her son. What a strange inu to prefer the brat over someone like her son. This inu was particularly clumsy. Didn't seem to have an ounce of grace.

A bemuse smile formed on her lips as she watched her son belittle Inuyasha and even threaten to tell on him. She was aware Inuyasha was perhaps frightened by her but Chiyoko didn't care in the least. It just meant he would stay out of her way. She'll let the pups interact. It wasn't often her son interacted with other pups his age. Still, why did the first human child they come across to have to parade in priestess garments? At least her mate had gave the female child a fair warning.

Already, InuTaisho was introducing his second son to the human male. It was then her mate questioned Mizuki about her status and if she were traveling alone. The girl's response only confirmed Chiyoko's suspicions. From the sounds of it, Chiyoko had to ponder if the girl's mother was still alive. If not, her mate still planned to bring the mother back if possible and do everything he could to help this young inu. Sometimes, her husband got too involved in matters he shouldn't. Perhaps InuTaisho felt this way because the western lands was his responsibility and so was everyone that resided within these lands.

Still, this also meant her mate planned to leave her alone with these humans and a child that wasn't even hers. Even worse, he would probably have her wait on the outskirts of the village since he knew she wasn't particularly fond of visiting human villages. She rather be off fighting demons than catering to the needs of humans! Still, in the possibility that this young inu's child was dead, only her mate had the abilities to bring her back. Chiyoko didn't like this arrangement in the least but she just couldn't leave her son behind with a human knight, a human priestess, and a useless half breed.

A heavy sigh soon escaped her lips as she spoke words she knew she was going to soon regret. “Very well. You may leave me behind to tend to this matter. I will stay behind and entertain your guest. Don't worry, I promise I won't eat them and I won't let our son eat them either. I don't want him to get a stomach ache. It'll be a pain to treat him when our healer is missing.” This was the curse of being the wife of someone like her husband. She always got pulled into unnecessary matters in which she normally wouldn't be dragged into. She sure knew how to pick them.

Inuyasha rested his cheek against his father's leg as his own nerves seemed to calm when he felt his father's comforting hand. Sesshomaru was nice from time to time but his father was always kind. Unfortunately, because of his father's status, Inuyasha didn't get to spend as much time with him as he would like. It was why this sort of family trip was a bit of a treat. He was glad he didn't get left behind. Without his father or Sesshomaru, the castle would have just gotten lonely.

His orbs silently watched this Don Quixote before shifting to Sesshomaru who was already taunting him. This was why Inuyasha did his best not to seek comfort when he was frightened. Unlike him, Sesshomaru never seemed afraid of anything. He probably wouldn't be afraid of that girl once he found out she was a priestess in training. The prospect of father chasing off the priestess was slim from the way the two interacted with another. Did that mean stories about priestesses were merely exaggerated and made up?

Inuyasha didn't have much time to ponder that question since Mizuki soon rushed there to introduce herself and flashed him a grin in which he responded by shlyly hiding behind his father. He just didn't interact with others often enough that he wasn't sure how to act. Maybe he should watch and see how Sesshomaru acted infront of them and he could just copy whatever his big brother did.

Again, she inquired about the earlier question. Only Inuyasha knew what she was asking. It was going to be difficult to avoid now. Even if she got distracted by her clumsy nature, Sesshomaru wouldn't be one to easily forget. Isesshomaru knew just what to say to threaten Inuyasha. His orbs immediately widened in horror at the mere thought of getting on Chiyoko's bad side. He couldn't help but flash Sesshomaru a pleadful stare, ears flattening with shame and discomfort. He didn't want to answer the question but he was being pushed into a corner. Sesshomaru's attention was on Mizuki but Inuyasha knew that was only temporarily. He just didn't forget about things so easily. Somehow the conversation had went from him to her weapons and then to her parents.

Inuyasha slowly released his father as an attempt to get Sesshomaru to stop calling him a baby. At least he was occupied with the inu female. His big brother seemed intrigued by the girl's weapon and father seemed interested about Mizuki's parents. Inuyasha would have forced himself to answer her question but Sesshomaru would scold him for interrupting and it was rude to interrupt, especially now that she was talking to father.

Father was now giving Mizuki that familiar talk he had once received when it came to his mother. Before he knew it, Chiyoko was already giving father permission to leave again. His orbs widened at the mere thought of Chiyoko and Sesshomaru eating these humans. Inuyasha didn't want to see something like that! It wasn't until he was sure father was done speaking with Mizuki and she with him before Inuyasha cleared his throat to answer her previous question in a rather hesitant manner. “I'm a half-breed.” Inuyasha awkwardly responded not really wanting to get into further detail, his orbs seeming to take an interest on the blades of grass just beneath his feet. It was obvious Inuyasha didn't want to answer the girl's question but felt forced to. Would he have to tell this to everybody he met? He wanted to go home already. He didn't like this feeling at all.
