Meanwhile, the two girls had arrived in plenty of time before the bell and had sat in the middle row of the classroom, happy that the desks were in groups of two. Neither girls wanted to sit in the back back of the class because then you had tones of heads infront of you, which was a major pain in the neck when the teacher wrote on the blackboard, yet sitting in the front of the class was worst because then you were considered the "teacher's pet" and THAT was beyond annoying! So the best place to sit was in the middle of the class.

Right now, Akira really wished the bell hadn't rang though because she absolutly dreaded math class and to have that subject as her homeroom class just discouraged her greatly. If one thing was to be known about Akira, it was that her worst subject was most definetly math and she hated that course as much as it hated her.

Elionne on the other hand, didn't love math either, but was actually quite good at it and had helped her best friend as much as possible over the years and still planned to do so this year as well.

She patted her best friend's back and smiled encouragingly at her, as the teacher, a strict young lady, cleared her throat to get the student's attention.

Mrs. Scotti stood infront, eying each boy and girl carefully, a small smile on her face. Just by the look she gave each student caused them to shut up, sit a little straighter in their seats and give her their full attention. Elionne was no different then them, but Akira wasn't intimidated in the least, receiving an amused look from her teacher.

"Class, my name is Mrs. Scotti and as you all guessed, i'll be your math teacher this year. Now your all high school students and i expect you all to act maturely. Just do your work, try your best, ask questions when you don't understand, behave, and you won't get on my bad side. Any questions?"

The teacher looked around the room and when no one raised their hands, she continued, "I know all of you are dying to ask this question, so i'll answer for you: Yes you will be given homework, but if you trully understand how to do it without any problems, just do a couple of questions and you won't get in trouble. The responsibilty is up to you to do your homework or not, i'm not going to chase or punish you since your no longer babies, understood?"

Akira grinned, liking this teacher already.
"Sausage made with blood and filler," Christabelle drolly replied to Blake, taking off her glass and cleaning them with a spare crumpled Kleenex jammed in the pocket of her skirt.

And just like the rest of the class, Blake turned a few shades of paler. Suddenly, he was very glad he skipped breakfast to get to school earlier.

Reed could hear most of the students behind her gagging and saying how gross this black pudding was. But frankly, it didn't faze Reed. She had seen worse on her farm. She'd never want to eat Norwegian black pudding, but she wasn't grossed out by the description. She was just waiting for the bell to ring already.... She would be staying in this room since her next class was English with Mr. Kraig.
Christabelle nodded solemnly - she was hoping. Alas, a very wide grin and a chuckle snuck their way past her expressional barrier. "Yes, that's the important stuff that thirteen years of school does not teach."

Finally, FINALLY the bell rang to signal the beginning of 2nd period. Mr. Kraig was thankful for this as much as Reed was. No more discussion of Norweigen black pudding. "Alright everyone. Have a good day and I'll see you tomorrow."

Reed could have gotten up to go find her locker for the year, but she just decided to stay in the current room and the same desk for English. It'd only be 3 minutes until 2nd period started, and she didn't have that much to drop off in her locker, anyway.

A couple hours later and 5 books later, it was finally time for A lunch. Reed was excited to see her sister again and find out how her first half of her first day of high school went. So, she stopped by her locker, dropped off her books, and went downstairs to the lunchroom on the ground floor. It was a beautiful cafeteria with large windows on 3 of the walls.

Reed went through the food line quickly, got a salad, pears, a hamburger, and some milk, and then went to one of the long cafeteria tables to wait for her sister.

Blake walked casually to the cafeteria, just coming from his locker and picking up his lunch. He grew tired of waiting in line everyday just for something to eat, so he started bringing his own food recently. And it was almost 10x better than the crap they served here.

He sat down at one of the long tables, way before anyone else really sat down, and opened his sack. Some roast beef and a little pork n beans with rice from last night. Yummy.

Akira was practically leaning againts her locker, trying to catch her breath, as Eli was holding her knees, taking deep breaths. After Math, they had had Gym and the unit was running. So much running in fact that both girls were exhausted, even though they loved to run and were usually very fast!

"I...Hate..." The brunnet couldn't even finish her sentence!

"Our gym teacher...I know, me too...He's ******** horrible!!! C'mon, let's just find the cafeteria,, meet up with Reed and eat..." Mumbled Elionne as she stumbled over to her locker, which was across of Akira's, and quickly put in her combination, grabbing her lunch.

Akira nodded and did the same, wishing she had brought her gym clothes today, for right now, her clothes looked beat up, with good reason!

After both girls had their lunches, they slowly made their way to the caff, following the other hungry students, and walked in. Eli quickly found Reed and dragged Akira along, as she complained softly about how loud her stomach was growling.

They both slumped down onto their chairs with heavy sighs.

"Hey sis..." the brunnet mumbled as she lied her head down on the table with a small thumb sound.

"Wonder what I got today," Jasper hummed as he reached into the generic paper bag he always brought with him to school. It was crumpled, stained, torn, and even a little smelly, but it was better than nothing. A foil wrapper told him it was some sort of meat, and opening it confirmed his suspicion. A pulled pork sandwich from the weekend. Also for lunch was a pear, a small snickers bar, and a baggie of random veggies. "I can't trade this. Oh well. I guess I'll finish off the Pirates. What do you do with a drunken sailor anyways?" The youth pulled a book from his bag and flipped to the page he left off at and started to read again, a grin on his face, already hitting another light joke not even seconds into the read. "Ah. Shave his belly with a rusty razor."

((I love pulled pork sandwiches. lol. And nice to meet you, Grey_Kitsune! biggrin ))

Reed looked at her sister and Elionne with wide eyes. "Guess your gym class was rather rough. Akira, I'm surprised you didn't bring your gym clothes. Mom laid them out on your bed this morning."

Wait... this was her sister. She actually WASN'T surprised her sister had forgotten the gym clothes. But she'd probably remember tomorrow.

"Uh, and Akira? Why did you pack your lunch? Dad gave us money this morning to eat at the school." She couldn't help but giggle slightly. Her sister could be so forgetful at times, especially when she was sleepy. But she still was so much more outspoken and brave than Reed was, and Reed admired her for that.

((Nice to meet-cha! ^^))

Eli giggled, as Akira groaned softly. Her best friend really was forgetful at times when she was nervous, way too excited, or sleepy. She unzipped her lunchbox, took out a penut butter and jam sandwish, took off the plastic bag around the food and started to eat, highly amused.

"...That would explain why my lunch box is empty...I guess because the food in Junior school is crappy, i figured it would be the same here and grabbed my lunch box...But no food...Ugr." Akira answered back softly, cursing her forgetfulness.

After the pink haired girl finished her sandwish, she answered Reed's questions about the teacher. "Mhm, Mr. Drill is horrible!! He forced us to run like crazy none stop, chasing us with his car!!!"

Blake rolled his eyes. He was more or less used to his friend's jokes, and how they usually made no sense unless you were in his head. "Hey Jazz. How's your day going so far?"

Reed arched her eyebrow at Eli. "Mr. Drill? I've never heard of him before. Must be new. I'm glad I don't have gym this year."

She then got up and went back up to the lunch line. Everyone had gone through by now, and those who had purchased a school lunch was allowed to go back for seconds. She picked up another hamburger and some pears and then went back to her seat at the lunch table. She handed them to her sister and smiled at her.

Eli took out her juice box next and poked the straw into the container, as she waited for Reed to come back before answering, "Ya, i suppose he is, but the nutcase is honestly really dangerous...Right Akira?"

Of course, by now Akira had big watery eyes and a huge smile on her face, as she thanked her sister and eagerly grabbed the burger, taking a big bite. She quickly finished off her food and finally nodded to what Elionne had said.

"Seriously, he's one bad dude! Your really lucky sis!"
