Welcome to the Into the Dreams RP! Those of us who created the story are very happy to have you visit us. We hope you enjoy what you see and choose to join!

This story is about a group of high school students living in Williamsburg, VA that learn one day, on a very normal, boring day, that they can suddenly transport themselves into their favorite storybooks. It is their perfect escape. They don't know how they are all able to do so, but it is their perfect escape every day after school. They can interact with their favorite characters and even change the typical course of the story.

One of the best parts about being able going into a story, though, is that if the teens stay in the story long enough, the traits of their storybook characters can rub off on them permanently, such as super speed, telekinetic powers, or flying.

They eventually discover, though, that there is a dire consequence to jumping in between reality and fantasy...

Brief Description: Christabelle is a reserved but forceful character. She likes talking to people but lacks social finesse - Chris changes topic abruptly, and weaves unrelated things into her topics. Her compliments come across as insults, and her insults as nothing but random, neutral observations. Thus, she finds it more comfortable to keep to herself. At least inside her head, she understands her own jokes and can appreciate the world in her own way.
Brief History: Christabelle's mother is a professor at the College, and her father is deceased. He left behind a lot of books, and a lot of memories for Chris. She misses him a lot, and doesn't like to discuss his death. Now she is a junior in high school, and decided she wants to study history.

But that doesn't mean he's gullible. He's actually pretty smart, and knows when people are trying to use him. He's just too nice to say no.
Brief History: He's lived practically alone for 3 years now, when his adoptive mother passed away, leaving him with the house. Somehow he's slipped under the radar and has been living by himself all this time, and that's the way he likes it. He has some friends and neighbors helping him live by cooking dinner for him, but other than that, he mostly takes care of himself.

Brief History: Living a normal life with his parents and sister, Jasper does what he likes. He often visited his friend and neighbor Blake, bringing with him some food and a few other things. There's not much else to him other than wanting to be a comic.

She's always dying her hair different colors, keeping it cropped like a boy's, and is known to have somewhat of an explosive temper when she wants to.
Brief History: Micky's parents are divorced, and her father's a doting retired baseball player, while her mother and stepfather are neglectful, reluctant parents who pay more attention to the baby they're expecting. Because of this, Micky's grown a tough exterior, and vents everything with baseball. She'd needed to be tough in order to secure a spot on the team, to survive her mother's house, and to get through the ridicule she deals with at school, for besides baseball, she's pretty much an outcast. As soon as she graduates, she plans on running far, far away and finding a man like the ones in her books.

Brief History: Rose has been living on her own since her parents were killed in a car accident. Feeling as though she can take care of herself just fine, Rose may sometimes wander around the streets and help others instead of being a vegetable at home. She may try to make up lies as in her parents are out of town since she does not want anyone to pity her.

It was early morning outside in Williamsburg, VA. 6 AM to be exact. School would begin at 8 and the bus would be here at 7:30, having picked up the students who lived further away from the town and making its way back to school.

Right now, Reed was standing in one of the large enclosed pastures on her farm next to her favorite horse Spider. She was black with just a very faint spattering of white speckles. It reminded her of a beautiful spider she had once seen when she was little, so she had named her first horse after it. She was 12 at the time.

She tried to come out to the pasture every morning to ride Spider for awhile, or even just to stand next to her and watch the sun come up. It was autumn right now and slightly chilly, but with her green olive-green hoodie on and Spider's body heat next to her, she wasn't that uncomfortable.

Reed fisted her hand in Spider's mane and pulled herself up onto the horse. She liked to ride bareback in the morning because she never took Spider at a speed faster than a gallop, so it was just a gentle stroll in the mornings. No need to burden her horse with a bridle and saddle just for light walk.

Right at that moment, as her older sister, Reed, was spending time with her favorite horse, Spider, Akira Caribea was sitting lazily on the big, most comfortable couch in the world (at least to her), watching cartoons and eating a bowl of Reeses Puff cereal.

She wasn't feeling particulary hyper or happy today because she did have to get up oh so early, the best summer ever was over, and another dreaded school year was starting today.

But all she could do was march forward and try to make the best of it. She'd get back into the school habit soon or later, but right now, she could barely keep her eyes open enough to make sence of what she was watching...This was going to be a very long day...

Shake, shake, rumble. Rumble, rumble shake.
The road is pitted, Christabelle silently observed. She didn't have to look up from her book Hush to know this.
Ah, there goes my backpack.
The steady shaking of the bus as it made its morning run through WIlliamsburg to pick up students finally did what Chris expected of it to do. She glanced sideways as her backpack careened off the edge of the bus seat and landed with a short resounding thud. Took you long enough, she addressed the bag.
Christabelle reached the end of the chapter, and slammed her book closed suddenly. For the next few minutes, she would be content with staring out the windshield of the bus.

Reed had been riding on Spider for about a half an hour when she heard a honking sound in the distance. She didn't even have to look to know what was the source of it. She had heard it since she was 6 years old.

She clicked her tongue to urge Spider into a trot and guided her into the large red barn with the other horses and cows. She put Spider into her pen because it was supposed to rain today. Otherwise, all the horses and cows would have been out in the 2 large enclosed pastures for the day.

Then, Reed quickly took off her clean pair of overalls that she wore over her school clothes to ride Spider. She always did that in the mornings so that she didn't smell like animals when she went to school. Every morning she'd get a clean pair of overalls out to put over the clothes she was wearing to school, wore them while riding Spider, and then hung them in the barn so that she could wear them in the afternoon while she did her chores.

Reed was wearing black tights with a loose-fitting, cream-colored knit dress. Her hair was hanging loosely down her back. She jogged over to the 2-story farm house, swung open the front door, and called out to her sister.

"Akira! Let's go! The bus is here."

She then grabbed her backpack by the front door and took of toward the bus.

Akira had just about fallen back asleep when her sister yelled for her to hurry up, causing the sleepy girl to jolt awake and fall right off the couch with a loud thumb and a startled cry.

Groaning and rubbing her forehead (which hit the floor 1st), the brunnet reluctantly pulled herself up, and checked her reflection in the leaving room mirror. She was wearing a purple sweater that had beautiful black designes on it with the zipper loose enough to see a with a white camisole under, navy blue jeans, and her favorite chocolate brown running shoes.

Now, her long hair was also loose, except for her two white hair pins to keep some of her messy bangs out of her eyes. The teenager frowned, as she noticed a very red mark right smack in the middle of her forehead.

'Juuuusstt great, my 1st day of high school and i got a red mark right there!! I so haatttee school...' Thought Akira as she grabbed her backpack from the kitchen chair and rushed out of the house to catch up with Reed and not miss the bus.

By the time Akira made it to the bus, Reed was already in her seat, looking out the window. When Akira sat down next to her, Reed turned her head to look at her sister, a small smile on her face. She hoped Akira wasn't too nervous for her first day of high school. Reed had been extremely nervous on her first day, but Akira was different. She was a lot braver than her older sister. She got that from their mother. Reed was more like their father, calm and very quiet. Well, she hadn't mastered a true sense of inner calm yet. She worked on it, but she still got agitated and nervous about many things.

Her eyes widened when she saw a red mark on Akira's forehead. "Oh, Akira. You... you have a large red mark on your forehead. You must have fallen on the floor again. Maybe if you brought more bangs forward, it might cover up the mark.... Possibly."

"Or become the next new trend," Christabelle commented softly to herself. The line about the bangs was the only part of the conversation she had picked up. This was something she did often, provide her own mental commentary to supplement the happenings of life. Sometimes the comments got vocalized though. Then, things would get awkward, fast, for Christabelle.

Akira immediately covered her forehead with her hand rather quickly at her sister's words, making her yelp in pain.

"Oi...And who's fault is that!? You really got to stop yelling at me like that in the morning or this stupid mark is gonna become a bad routine!!!" she fumed softly at Reed, before taking a couple of breaths and calming down.

This early in the morning, Akira could be rather...Short tempered at anyone or anything that hit a nerve some way or another, but never said or did anything to really hurt anybody when she was on edge. Except of course if that person or thing had reeaaalllyyy pissed her off, then watch out.

"Anyways...No worries, it'll go away before the bus get's too school..."

Reed couldn't help but smile at her sister's comments and her obvious annoyance at being awake so early again. The first week of school was always entertaining. Her sister never hurt her feelings by what she said in the mornings. It just served to amuse her. And as long as she knew her sister wasn't hurt and that the mark wasn't serious, she knew it was okay to be amused. Well, she did try to hide her smirk from her sister so that she didn't get even more indignant.

So, she turned her face toward the window and just shrugged, trying to fight the smirk from getting bigger on her face. "Well, you could always get yourself out of the house on your own so I wouldn't have to yell at you when the bus came. That way, you wouldn't fall asleep on the couch and you wouldn't fall onto the floor, Akira."

Her voice was, as always, quite soft and even. No one else around them would be able to hear them. It wasn't as if Reed did that on purpose. It was just the natural way she spoke.

Well, she thought at first no one could hear her, but she heard Christabelle's comment to Akira a few moments ago. But as usual, Reed ignored it. Not because she was rude, but because it was kind of common knowledge after all these years not to always respond to Chris's comments as they were usually just intended for her to hear.

A few minutes later, and the bus had finally arrived at the high school. It kind of sucked that Reed had 2 more years left of being in this institution, but she'd just do what she had always done: try to make the best out of a bad situation.

So, Reed merely sighed, waited for her sister to stand up and move from the seat, and then slowly began walking off of the bus. Most of the kids who lived in town were already standing outside of the building, laughing and joking around about how their summer went. This would be the first year that Akira would be going with Reed to the same building instead of veering off onto the smaller bus in front of the high school that would take the younger siblings of high school students onto the junior high school. So, she stayed outside of the bus to wait for Akira to make sure she didn't automatically go to that bus again out of habit.

Akira placed her backpack back onto her back and made her way out of the bus, jumped the last step, and smiled brightly at her sister, excited that she didn't have to part ways anymore.

As they began to walk, she said, "Don't worry about a thing sis. Now that I'M here, i can scream anybody's heads off that are giving you a hard time, okay? Oh and don't forget, you promised to help me figure out where all my classes are and what not!"

Reed smiled softly down at the ground as she walked alongside her sister. Not only was she younger than Reed, but she was also shorter, for now, than her older sister as well. So, it seemed a little odd to have her be the protective one, but it was true. She was much more confrontational than Reed was. Reed was simply quiet. She actually didn't have too much problem with her classmates, but there were the occasional comments and sneers directed at her.

"Thanks, Akira, but if I just stay quiet, which we both know isn't a problem for me, I usually don't have any trouble. Now, I can't show you to your classes until the bell rings and we can get inside the building, but I can tell you where your locker will be. You got the letter in the mail last week that gave you your class schedule along with your homeroom teacher and your locker number. Freshmen lockers are on the ground floor of the building. You'll go into the double doors in front of us here and then hang a sharp right. All of those lockers are for freshmen. You'll just have to search for your number there. And then you'll go to your homeroom. I'll go with you to your locker and then take you to the room your homeroom is in, if you want me to."
