The past exsists only in our memories,
the future only in our plans.
The present is our only reality.
Midday naps had become a regular occurrence for Jenna though no one who came and went from Edward Technology seemed to understand why. Of course, that was fine by Jenna so long as they didn't interrupt her naps with anything less than an emergency. No one needed to know about her idea of a nightlife as it was; after all, who would expect the daughter of Edward Montgomery to go running around in the middle of the night kicking some serious butt and taking names in the process? Exactly, no one. And unfortunately her new schedule had become so engraved into who she was that out of habit she'd wake up promptly when the sun began to fade from the sky. Her father had often scolded her for taking up such a reverse schedule, even if it did suit his agenda. Jenna was after all, the face of Edward Technology thanks to her father's supposed 'brilliant' idea.
As it was, she supposed it suited her purposes perfect fine though it took her out of commission on some nights, all thanks to the parties she attended in her father's place. 'I wonder where that man is right now anyways, I think father said he was off to England for a while,' Jenna pondered to herself as she rolled onto her stomach and clutched her pillow tightly to herself. Dutifully her alarm rang out just in time for her to shut it off--which she did with a resounding slap upon the snooze button. She was late for once, a thought which made her frown as she changed from her roomy button down pajama top into her typical 'stalk the street's attire which her nearest and dearest friend--who lived quite a distance away--had said made her look like some tough as nails biker chick who tended to show a bit more skin than was necessary. The other thing he had brought up was the fact that it left her stomach vulnerable if someone got close enough, and there was the matter of rifles as well; of course, Jenna being who she was had simply grinned and shook her head. "If I've given them enough time to shoot me or stab me, I'm not doing it right," She'd told him in reply.
She dressed almost sluggishly that night, at the last minute deciding that she'd probably be best off to grab something to eat before beginning her night. For that, she wouldn't dare dress up as Libra and hesitantly she changed into a mid-thigh burgundy dress which dipped low on her back, packing her other outfit--and assorted necessities for Libra nights--into a weekender bag which she intended to toss into the back seat of her black Saleen S7 before heading off to a restaurant. To be quite honest, Jenna had no idea where she wished to eat, only that she wouldn't be doing it as Libra and as Jenna Montgomery she wouldn't dare look anything less than regal. 'To quote mother, 'It simply isn't done.'' Jenna reminded herself as she climbed into the sleek sports car and began her momentarily aimless drive.
